Live Bar Seafood

The food and the atmosphere were amazing! I visited Live Bar last night for the first time and in all honesty will probably be the last time for me bc the service was horrible. My bestie and I stepped out to support some local talent that we are acquainted with. We purchased a VIP table. I arrived first. I was seated and I sat. The only waitress on the floor passes by me and the rest of my party (they all trickled in ) over and over again. After about 45 minutes of waiting, I finally went to the bar to get something to drink. I stood there another five minutes or so while the only waitress that was working the floor and one of the bartenders had a good long chat. They disbursed and acted like they didn’t see me standing at the bar. I finally threw my hands in the air and said, “Can I get some service?”The bartender gestures like she has no idea and sends another waitress over to me. I ask for a menu, tell her my party is in VIP and we’d like to order. She gives me a menu and shakes her head. I go back to the table and wait. A few minutes later a gentleman comes by to leave some advertisements on the table. He speaks and asks how we’re doing. I advise him that I’m both hungry and thirsty and can’t seem to get any service. He tells me that he’s the manager and he’ll get someone right over. We wait. The waitress heads our way to pivot and take care of a couple that literally just walked in. By this point, I’m livid so I go back to the bar and Mr. Midnight happens to be at the bar. He’s the local talent that I’m acquainted with. I tell him that we came out to support him but can’t get any service. He jumps into action and I’m finally able to get a Sprite. Whew Jesus! While I’m trying to get service, my bestie is trying to get the bottle that came with the VIP table.About an hour and a half later, we finally get the bottle and we were able to order food. My bestie and I order at the same time. Her food comes, mine does not. About thirty minutes later, Mr. Midnight comes back to check on us and I tell him that I still don’t have my food. He goes to get help and shortly after my food appears.Now they did send two shots to our table and I’m appreciative but to have paid $250 for a VIP tablet and this is the service we receive, I’ll keep my money in my pocket going forward!I think the server may have made $15 from our table last night. I tip very well when I receive excellent service. I tipped according to the service I received last night.

Great spot for late breakfast and lunch.Fresh baked and prepared foods. All the breads and pastry Ive tasted have been delicious.Calzones are not over stuffed and make for a sensible sized and filling portion. The tabbouleh is worth getting an extra order to take home for dinner.

I been in Jacksonville around 28 yearsIve been to every club in the cityThe Live Bar surpassed them allMartini Monday DJ doctor doom no drama the food was amazing im talking perfection, i ordered oysters the drinks were mixed perfectly and Especially big up to ShortyYou can Def feel the love here ❤️ classy crowd lots of smiles and the music well it was just amazing, Now this is how a night club is supposed to be ! Cant wait till ChristmasThis will definitely be my go too

The music the food the atmosphere is awesome. Happy Hour Fridays for grown folks is the place to be

Nice bar on Bay Street. Go before 11 PM on Fridays or Monday (Martini Mondays) if you want to experience the 25+ crowd

The food is good and the music is even better! I’ve taken many photos in the bathroom. They run out of toilet paper occasionally.

An ok spot. I only had 1 drink (Margarita) and it was nasty and I wasn’t going to waste money on another. I’ve never been to a club and they only give you 1 chaser when you order bottles. When I’m spending hundreds of dollars on bottles I should be allowed to get as many chasers as I like. But the lady did look out for me and brought me some cups with the other chaser in it. It was a HUGE mistake for them to not have working restrooms. Smh I mean y’all did know in advance that y’all was going to have Trina there so I’m sure y’all expected some type of crowd to be there. The DJ repeated a lot of the same songs but he wasn’t that bad.

I am My husband Tim, attended the Live Bar Free Comedy night, which started with a wonderful young live band they were awesome, the two for one drinks weren’t watered down, the stemmed oysters with crackers and hot sauce were delicious! And to top it all off I forgot my purse there for about 15mins after I left, came back to the bar the staff was cleaning an my purse was rite where’s I previously had it, hanging on the back of the seat I was sitting on!! Definitely give the place 5 stars me an my husband will be returning a bringing others with us! Really enjoyed myself! Sylvia an Tim Broughton!

I went on a Friday night ,it was okay chill spot. I love the male bartender!!! The women bartenders are beautiful but have terrible service they take for ever to help they just look like they have attitudes or they were to busy dancing and ignoring the fact your trying to order drinks , I Wasn’t feeling the Dj It was really packed tho. Bathroom stall doors didn’t lock so someone had to hold it shut for you. I don’t think I would go there again.They charged $20 to enter defiantly wasn’t worth it to be honest.

Music was too loud could not talk to anyone and the bartender could not take orders until the music pause. Most people came in causal clothes , shorts, etc. Food took more than 20 min to receive after order was place- food tasted very good but chicken pieces were small. Mainly 23 - 32 year old crowd fill the night. Good music!!!

The oysters was everything. I was there early so the atmosphere was real nice.

The Live bar was cool. They played a lot of trap music. I had a decent time and would have liked to hear more music that I could dance to. But to be fair, it was my first time there and knew no one! The drinks were way too high!

Horrible experience. Top flight security of the world is lame and tries to bully others because he is small. Y’all will miss out on business because of Mr Lame. He has a horrible attitude and won’t let people in because of his ego then pushed my husband and tried to get his lame entourage to fight. Wouldn’t recommend to a dog.

Its a mostly young black crowd the drinks are awesome the food is a hit Ive had their wings and fries they do allow smoking which is a plus for me I like a good cigar and the music usually gets me going Ill be there every Saturday if I could its always a party and a good time

Loni is the truth me & my sis stopped in for 🌮 Tuesday we had the 🍤 and chicken tacos they both are delish but the 🍤 are off the chain hands down we were at the spot next door so glad we came in and the drinks and music are on point when ever I’m in jville I will definitely be stopping through and for the peeps that live here don’t sleep on this place ❤️❤️❤️

Im gone have to give this place a thumbs down for a first birthday impression. They charged my husband 20 bucks the drinks the dj money good all sucked. Go to Manhattans a few doors to the left and i promise you will have a much much better time. Wee did!

I love the music, the atmosphere is kosher, but the bar tenders suck. They need to be courteous, and faster. But the drinks are straight if you can get waited on

If you like Florida music, this is for you. Coming from GA, the music was terrible here . Overpriced to get in & then told us 2 different prices. Would give it 0 stars. Just overly packed, hot, & not lit. Plus no one had on masks! I want my money back.

First off, they didnt check my ID when me and my friends came in. The DJ sped the music up so fast it sounded terrible. Went to the bar and the lady messed up my drink. How do you mix up a ciroc and red bull with a bottom shelf and cranberry? To make it worse, the [NASTY] drinks are super watered down and over priced. Oh the icing on the cake, someone tried to pickpocket my friend. All that for $10 entry? If you like rachet, smoke-filled, hole in the walls, this place is for you.

8/7/19 One hour and twentytwo minutes later, after complaining...they decided to give us our money back. The drinks are served in a small plastic cup and over priced. The service was absolutely horrible. We sat at the bar and saw some waitresses actually really trying to fill orders however; our waitress never went and checked on our food yet told us...its coming out soon, its next? When we complained about the wait and to please just refund us our money, we were told after a order is placed they can not refund it( this is now 45 minutes later). Again, everything was horrible. They werent checking Identfication ( we watched) and they were smoking weed like it was just the normal thing to do in this place. Yet again, horrible experience overall.

Had a good time. I from California so it was great because ladies were free and there was an open bar 10pm -11pm on Saturday. Florida is treating ya girl right.

I just moved here from Miami to Jacksonville and its really good. I went on Saturday so we got in free before 11pm and recieved a cup and free drinks up until 11 i believe. First time here.

Today’s first visit was completely by chance & is certain to be the first of many more to come! Maria & all of The Ferra Family members were as warm & welcoming as the shop/dining space they have created. The soup of the day was enjoyed on site & the cinnamon babka was the treat carried home. Both Delicious! Good thing a bike ride along the Riverwalk to & from is how these delights will be “earned”in the future!

The music is great but the food is better. The staff are very professional and courteous. The drinks are amazing as well. I definitely will be returning

Very loud and crowded, more of a night club than a bar. It takes a long time to get your drinks so get them all at once. If you wanna go somewhere to drink and twerk this is the place to do it.

Everything we have tried so far is amazing. You will not be disappointed. I definitely recommend the bread pudding, truly the best Ive ever had!

Live bar is my favorite nightclub in Jax. Plus they have really good happy hour specials on food and drinks.

DJ is hott!!! Bar service is okay. Very loud. Ear were ringing when upon departure. Lots of twerking.

Its Live! Food is good. Crowd is mature..easy to get to and you can reserve tables for birthdays and VIP!

Like this place, would have rated a 5 star if they had more seating, make sure to wear flats or comfortable heels ladies

The security guard there had kick me out the club simply for just being on my phone which one of the staff told me to go out and he had put his hands on me and if I could I would give it a zero and the staff is very unprofessional dont know how to treat their customers;they need to be shut down.

I know they give out free drinks but your bartenders should pay more attention to customers who are paying for drinks or exposing cash in hand.
