Everything was a 5 star experience. The easy access to the rooms, the rooms were beautiful as well. I felt very safe and secure staying here, beautiful restaurants nearby. Very good for the price we paid. A 10/10 for someone who hates talking to people 😂😂

I had an amazing stay at No Vacancy. Upon arrival, I was instantly impressed with the attention the detail and cleanliness of the property. Each studio is uniquely and neatly decorated. And the common spaces is the perfect cozy vibe! I highly recommend this stay for those who love boutique style hotels or anyone looking for something out of the ordinary as youll also love the vibrant district of Crossroads that No Vacancy is located in.

Stayed at No Vacancy for a weekend with friends and loved it! What a special place!! The attention to detail in each room was unlike any place Ive ever stayed. A true boutique hotel- every room and common space carefully curated, unique and Instagram-able providing a trip to remember. Very comfortable bed, bath products from Le Labo and super clean hotel. Cute shops downstairs and a great guide in the room to direct you to neighborhood spots. Le Lounge was the perfect gathering space for morning coffee and a glass of natural wine in the evening. Looking forward to visiting KC and staying at No Vacancy again. Dont hesitate to book.

I had the most amazing time at No Vacancy. It was truly an ethereal experience. Lots of natural light, room was spacious, beautiful, and so thoughtfully curated. The staff were very friendly and the lobby/ courtyard was very welcoming and a lovely place to gather. I’d stay here again, in a jiffy!

This spot is definitely one of the best in town, being near many restaurants. Easily one of the most popular spots to be on a week night, having live music Thursday nights, and other special events on Wednesday. Ive never stayed over night, but have seen the rooms which are designed very well and are a great vibe that goes along with the space. My favorite space is the outdoor patio, with some of their great cocktails and mocktails!

Everything here was at 10/10 we cameIn to visit Kansas City check in was at 4 so we had time to walk around the city and see what it was like and it was great the room we had was clean it was nice it was spacious the people who worked there were nice they had a nice patio outside for the smokers this hotel was a 10/10 stay and we will be staying again when we come back !

No Vacancy is truly a gift. Although I only stayed in Studio 1 for an evening, it was magical. The attention to detail with the design, ease of access & lighting of the space was ideal. Plus, the soft lull of music emanating from Le Lounge provided the perfect soundtrack to a night in. I look forward to returning soon.

Such a unique and needed place for KC. Aside from offering a different experience when it comes to staying in the city, what they do with parties is what I really enjoy. Come on a Thursday and you could end up hearing live music, get a drink, run into some cool people. You never know and I love it

No Vacancy is truly amazing, unique, and peaceful. The interior design is absolutely amazing not only looks good, but makes you feel at peace the moment you walk in. Truly a gem in Kansas City!

The coolest place in KC? I think so. Luxury mid-century design, yummy drinks on occasion, and warm people make you want to hangout here every chance you can get. The hotel is an intimate space with a small lounge and outdoor patio. The rooms are cozy and smell amazing. They have Le Labo in the bathroom, how could you not love? Highly recommend for a weekend stay or a Thursday night cocktail. Love Le Lounge!

My wife and I loved our stay! It was such a beautiful place! I can’t speak for my wife but my favorite part of the room we stayed in was the shower gels, conditioner, lotions! The smell were so good, I even bought that brand the following day because I wanted to keep smelling like Santal 33. We were also there on a Thursday, and there was country dancing and the complimentary drinks were delicious! We had so much fun! We will definitely be staying here again, and plan on staying in each room to figure out which one is our favorite!

I have not yet had the privilege of staying in a room at No Vacancy but I have had the privilege of attending a few private parties/events there (wedding, birthday party, etc.). I’ve also been to Le Lounge during the weekly nights they are open to the public.I absolutely love No Vacancy/Le Lounge because it is a unique place with so much character that you just simply cannot find elsewhere in Kansas City. The design/decor is beautiful and intentional. The location couldn’t be better (out of towners - stay here if you can!). During the weekly events, the energy of the people is great.Highly recommend to locals and visitors alike for a vacation/staycation!

This is a very clean quant place to stay and very cute. Check in was super easy and we were able to park on the street easily without paying for parking. However, it’s a pretty loud place to try and sleep. We stayed in studio 2 which is right by the street. There’s something in the road that sounds like a huge nock when someone drives over it…every time. You also just hear the normal downtown sounds. The walls are real thin so you can hear your neighbors. I would try studio 8, it’s way back in the corner and seems more secluded.

I loved my stay at No Vacancy. The decor was so cool and the room was extremely clean! The views were amazing. The lounge and the courtyard were wonderful. The customer service was great. My original room had a minor A/C problem, so they upgraded me and checked on me to make sure I got in the room okay. I will definitely be coming back!

We had the most incredible hospitality experience at Hotel No Vacancy. It was our first time in Kansas City, and our arrival was a lot later than expected due to a diversion in our flight plans. Despite a late arrival (around 11 PM), we were able to access the building and room with a personalized code provided by someone on staff via text/email before arrival.The space is just immaculately decorated. You can tell from sight, scent, hear, and touch that all details of this place are carefully selected and curated. We stayed in Room 6, which had a nice view of a quiet city street. The bed is also super comfy, and I appreciated the Le Labo bathroom amenities that were provided. (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap). The lounge has a kitchen with a full size fridge, a filtered water faucet, extra glassware if needed, among other supplies, and tons of seating ranging from comfy sofas to desks to bistro seating. The patio is a nice place to hang out as well.I cannot recommend Hotel No Vacancy enough, and would return to Kansas City just to have the pleasure of staying here again.

A one of a kind gem in the arts district. Every space is well-considered with a design aesthetic that’s modern, yet natural, and incredibly warm and inviting. Their Thursday evening bar events offer a wonderful opportunity to experience a taste of KC’s culture with locals and visitors mingling with great drinks and music.

I surprised my husband with a night at No Vacancy for a staycation for his birthday back in June. It was a Thursday night, which is when the hotel lounge is open to the public. We had no problem with this because all of the emails, policies, social media, etc. stated they have quiet hours, even on Thursday nights, to respect the guests. The Instagram account for the lounge and the special event going on that night all said the event was 6pm - 10pm. We expected guests to filter out by 11pm, again, per everything they noted in their emails, website, brochures, etc.Well, the evening we stayed, they had a DJ blasting music on the rooftop lounge until 12am. This rooftop is right down the hall from the guests. This was communicated absolutely nowhere in the messaging - its one thing to say, the lounge is open for drinks until 10pm, guests out by 11pm and another thing to have a DJ dance party until 12am/1am.Once the music shut off, we realized the music was covering up the sounds of our neighbors, which went on for another hour. The walls were paper thin.I sent this feedback privately via email to give them an opportunity to make things right and they responded with an offer to discount a *future* stay. They didnt provide any concrete examples of how they would prevent this from happening in the future. I would have preferred a refund or discount on the stay we already booked, since my husbands birthday was completely ruined.Based on Sam Ts most recent review, they still arent following their own policies when it comes to quiet hours.Is the space beautiful and trendy? Absolutely. But you have to have the customer service, respect, and policies to support the aesthetic if you want to run a proper hotel.Other things to note:- Our room faced Wyandotte and I could hear conversations happening out on the street. Im not a light sleeper, but if you are, you might want to look elsewhere if you want to minimize city noise.- The furniture decor in the room was completely different than the photos. This is noted in the fine print when booking, however, I think it would be nice if the photos were updated. I thought our room would have a couch but it was replaced with a desk, for example. This is a personal preference thing.- Poor water pressure in the shower, if thats important to you.Im giving a couple of stars for the decor and location. I love the Crossroads and the design and curation of the space was beautifully done.

Came to KC for Taylor Swift and I loved staying here. It was so cute and cozy. Very comfortable space. I love the Crossroads area, there are a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Absolutely loved that there was a disco ball above the bed. Made for a fun night light. I would definitely stay here again.

The heat is regulated. The room temp would not go above 62 degrees but the thermostat read the room at 74 degrees. The temp went down to 57 degrees at one point. I messaged the owners and they said they would try and resolve. Two hours later, no word from the owners. I then asked for a portable heater and they would bring one over. That never happened. I checked out one day early.

I have twice stayed here and really enjoy it. This is the most memorable hotel I have experienced. I look forward to coming back!

We stayed here Feb 25th, 2023 for our 4 year anniversary!! It was a breath taking place to stay! The vibe was so inviting and cozy!! Such a cool place to stay! It was only a few blocks from the Power and Light district, so we were able to walk (or you could ride the electric scooters like we did!). It was an amazing stay I have already raved to all my friends about it!! I will most definitely try to rent out the entire place for my back party!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

The location is central and walkable to many great restaurants and attractions in the city. The overall vibe and attention to detail is immaculate. No Vacancy is one of the best boutique stays in Kansas City - it’s a must visit!

Such a well curated atmosphere with amazing service. Cozy, romantic, and has that it-factor. Amazing location in the heart of Crossroads. Couldn’t give a higher recommendation.

ADORED this place! Honestly the photos were so cute and the pricing was so reasonable that I thought there would be a “catch,” but upon arrival the place was even better in person! I had room 7, and seriously the entire space was so cozy and thoughtfully decorated—no detail was spared. I felt like I noticed something new every time I entered and exited the building or room. I think I had one of the smallest rooms, but it was still incredibly comfortable: live plants everywhere, multiple light fixtures, books (which I read in bed), soft blankets and secure locks (important when traveling solo!) The room was basically my fantasy studio apartment. Kudos to the owners, you can tell they put their hearts into the space. And if you ever wonder if people catch and appreciate these little details we definitely do :)

We had such a great time at No Vacancy! Our room (studio 3) was spacious and had the most gorgeous furnishings. We loved being in a corner room that had large windows for plenty of natural light. Located in a great spot that’s walking distance to many restaurants and bar. The local trip guide was such a thoughtful touch! Would definitely recommend!

No Vacancy was the perfect place to celebrate a friends birthday with an intimate group of friends! The owner + his staff were a joy to work with and communication was fantastic. Check-in/check-out was simple and streamlined, and the entire atmosphere of the entire motel was a vibe in and of itself. This is one of my personal favorite locations for a staycation in KC, and I was so glad to share it with out of town friends!

No Vacancy is the perfect location for any staycation or vacation! They even have a trendy bar called LeLounge that’s open to the public on Thursdays! It’s the best spot in the crossroads for a craft cocktail! No Vacancy is the real vibe!

Haven’t been able to stay a night in this hotel, but have been able to attend some holidays parties hosted by the hotel and private events. The design and feel of the space is awesome. Warm atmosphere and everyone had a great time.

I’ve been asked to write a review, and so here it is. There is an undisclosed and very active public (not private) bar at the end of the short hallway in this hotel. And let me tell you, it is HOPPIN. It’s a huge, raucous, all-night party, at least on Thursdays, and it’s open to anyone who knows about it, not just to guests. It was like being in a frat house. Patrons spilled over into the hallway outside our room. We were kept up until 2am by people yelling, singing, laughing, and arguing directly outside of our bedroom door, which they appeared to be leaning on while they talked. There was a whole DJ, and the pounding music was just a few meters away. All of the literature in the room was really strict about quiet hours (“NO OUTSIDE GUESTS” “PLEASE RESPECT QUIET HOURS” and “THIS IS A PLACE OF PEACE” (see image), so I really thought management would be concerned that, at midnight, 1 AM, 2 AM, members of the public were having a huge party in the hallway. They were not. They responded by repeating the wording of my message back to me in a way that felt quite mocking (“we are sorry about the ‘huge party’ in the lounge”), and offering us a coupon on the condition that we came back and paid for another stay. They did not address the incredible violation of their own policies, or say they would do anything about the noise (which they did not). In terms of security, too, this was a big concern. The packed bar was open to the public, rendering the “secure” keypad entry completely pointless. People poured in either through an unsecured back door or because they were all given the entry code. To add insult to injury, we were also treated pretty poorly by the bar staff when we ventured there earlier in the day. On the website and on Air BnB, this bar is simply called the “lounge,” and it is billed as a space for guests to have a drink and mingle. We were really charmed by this, and so we went to visit the lounge. The staff seemed unfriendly, and we stood there for so long without anyone acknowledging us that I asked if they were not open, or if we were not supposed to be there. We were then charged full price for the drinks, even after telling them we were guests (we were promised one free drink as part of our room price). The whole experience was pretty dehumanizing, despite the incredible beauty of the rooms (and they really are amazing). I wouldn’t post a negative review had I not a given the management a chance to address it first, but not only did they not intervene, but they also made it abundantly clear that their own policies and our experience as paying guests were alike irrelevant.

Update: the owner was very understand and open to constructive criticism and is fixing dirty furniture! Was happy with how they communicate. I would suggest to people to check out in a few weeks once they’ve had a chance to remedy. Lounge was really cool too- would suggest checking out!I was really excited to stay here because the pictures of this hotel looked so cool. The concept of no tvs in the rooms was very neat, as well as being a smaller hotel of only 8 rooms. It definitely looks cooler online than it really is. The furniture was a bit worn and dirty. There was dirt stuck to the couch in my room. The shower had hair splattered all over the walls. It was extremely loud, with 60s music blasting until 10 pm. You could hear people talking In the hallways, My room was poorly lit, which made it hard to get ready in the morning because I could hardly see myself in the mirror. This place has a great location, however, with plenty of restaurants and things to do near by. Its also right off the interstate. I wouldnt necessarily stay here again, but there have been worse places to stay. The concept was great but the execution was lacking.

This place is ADORABLE!!! I didn’t want to leave!! The locate is PERFECT! My son got married right across the street so that was super convenient. Going to plan a girls trip there soon! Highly recommend! I stayed in suite 6. All rooms are different which makes it fun too!

Perfect hotel for a staycation if youre local or traveling from afar. Rooms are beautifully designed and perfect for photo ops all around. Location is walkable and close to KC favs for both daytime & some nightlife...get the breakfast burrito at Mildreds! Oh & if youre here on a Thursday, be sure to schedule time for live music & cocktails at the in-house bar :)

I have too many good things to say about our No Vacancy experience! The location is perfect and puts you walking distance to tons of great restaurants, bars and shops. We stayed in Studio 7 and loved the design details, beautiful natural light, and insanely comfy bed! The common areas are very cool and have all the amenities to make you feel right at home. The No Vacancy team was super communicative and check-in/check-out was a breeze! Cant wait for our next stay!

This place was amazing!! Super clean and the decorations and ambience were on point. Only positive things to say about it! I stayed in Studio 2 and loved it. Easy to get in and out of building and rooms and the lock system makes you feel safe! It was too snowy and cold to go outside but the courtyard was really nice. The common room was awesome as well. Definitely coming back and recommending it to friends!

My favorite place to stay in the Midwest! Everything is exceptionally intentional and well done. It is worth a trip to KC just to stay at No Vacancy, especially if you’re an art lover, vintage fanatic, in need of interior design inspiration and want to zen out. Each room is decorated uniquely and it’s always changing. Perfect for couples, friends or a solo getaway.

My husband and I just checked out after spending 3 nights at No Vacancy. The neighborhood is great with lots of bars and restaurants within in walking distance. The space at No Vacancy is great and we especially enjoyed the common areas. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and accessing the guesthouse and our room was easy. I can’t say I loved our stay because the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve probably ever slept on and frankly it ruined our stay. I know that might sound high maintenance but it was that soft, mushy, and awful. Also, there was a private event taking place one afternoon and while they were lovely, we could hear everyone and everything and it took over the entire guesthouse. I would have appreciated knowing in advance that there was an event going on during our stay. In a space that small there is no way to avoid it.

No Vacancy is nothing short of brilliant in every way. My (now) husband and I booked the hotel buy out over Labor Day weekend. We hosted our entire wedding party for 2 nights, hosted our rehearsal dinner, got hair and make up done in suite #3, and finished with our closest friends in the courtyard after our wedding. It was truly perfect and made everything SO EASY. No one was showing up late, no one was forgetting anything, and no one had to worry about drinking and driving for the whole weekend because every single thing we needed was at No Vacancy. In addition to everything listed above, we have incredible pictures. I will highly recommend No Vacancy to everyone I come into contact with!!

No Vacancy is a special place. From the moment you step off the elevator, you enter the most incredible boutique hotel I have ever stayed in. Not one inch of the place is without unique or special thought. Although we stayed in studio three, which was fantastic, complete with a mini fridge and incredible natural light, we look forward to staying in any one of the other seven studios. The creativity extends throughout the space into the lounge and outdoor area. Not to mention, there is plenty of space for social distancing in respect to COVID restrictions. If you are looking for a stay-cation in KC or visiting from out of town, the location is perfect! You can walk to any restaurant or bar in the crossroads area. Downtown is only a few blocks away as well. Thank you again for the incredible stay! We will be back soon.

My wife and I had an amazing staycation at the No Vacancy last month. The hotel is so unique and unlike anywhere we have stayed before. Every detail is well thought out - it really does feel like your own private guesthouse.It felt like a true vacation, being in such a great location close to all of our favorite spots. The weather was beautiful, so we took advantage of time outside in the courtyard reading and eating takeout. We can’t recommend No Vacancy enough!

The design and attention to detail are unparalleled. Everything from the candles burning, to the music in the lounge, the live plants, to the in room toiletries! Its easy to see the thoughtfulness and care put into the space...and the beds are the most comfortable weve ever slept on!

Absolutely loved my one-night stay at No Vacancy! Our room (#4) was gorgeous and as I walked through I caught glimpses of the other rooms- all are unique and full of character, thoughtfully designed and perfect for a staycation, vacation, photo shoot, or personal getaway. The courtyard is idyllic. I would return in a heartbeat! Check-in and check-out process were easy and there is so much to do within walking distance! We will be back.

No Vacancy was great! I booked this for our group to stay while in KC for a meeting. Ya know, you look at pictures of a place and you never can be really sure. This met, even exceeded my expectations. I was a bit nervous even when I saw it in person how the people staying there would feel - they really liked it. They used it to its fullest. Even though it was 100 degree weather - they used the outdoor space. They used the indoor space, the music, the games. Late nights sitting out in the courtyard was the whole purpose of the meeting anyway - getting together as a team - especially after over a year of being away!.Thank you No Vacancy crew!

Buying out No Vacancy for our wedding weekend was probably our favorite wedding planning decision! We even got to have our rehearsal dinner on the patio. Our family and friends were amazed by the place…the details and thoughtful design…just wow! Getting ready for the wedding there made us feel like movie stars :). Highly recommend No Vacancy for a wedding party or just a weekend/1-night stay!

We did a full hotel buyout for our wedding weekend and absolutely loved it! The hotel is unique, gorgeous, and curated to a T. On top of that, the check in process was super easy and customer service was very helpful. Will absolutely be staying here again!

Kansas City is my hometown, and Ive been to so many unique restaurants, clubs, lounges, etc, but No Vacancy is without a doubt the most sophisticated spot of them all. This little oasis is straight out of Paris, Milan, Vienna, or any other fabulously chic city, and were so lucky to have a slice of heaven here in KC. There is something spectacular to see in every corner, as Spencer Sight is the most prolific Designer this city has ever seen. No detail is too small not to appreciate, from the dreamy, atmospheric art that lines the hallways, the artifacts unique to each Studio, the luscious greenery perfectly placed, to the original doors and beautiful brass fixtures. This place is pure elegance, without any ostentation. It is a marvel, the perfect venue for just about any occasion you can think of. We will absolutely be headed back soon and telling all our friends about it for weeks to come!

My husband and I stayed here July 2021 and this place is still stuck in my head. From the beautifully and thoughtfully curated rooms, the rooftop space, the communal kitchen, the playlist, even the smell! Truly the stay of my dreams. I hope we can return one day. Book this place!

No Vacancy is a unique experience in a great location. Can walk to P&L or anything in the crossroads. I booked it on a weeknight as a staycation for my fiancés birthday. However, we got horrible sleep due to the Le Lounge playing music/chatter/door slamming until 10:45pm on Wednesday night, drunk guests returning with their friends being loud at 2am, and then woken up again by a man moaning/groaning outside our window at 4am.EDIT: the owner texted me and asked me to remove my honest review. This is not an ethical business practice and honest reviews should be welcome. If he wants 5 stars he should provide a 5 star experience. It was also extremely hot in the room until night came, I didn’t include this in my original review because I understand it’s an old building.

No Vacancy is just the perfect place to be. The atmosphere is pretty rad, the studios are very unique, every single one of them has its own personality. Soon as I found out that there was going to be a boutique hotel in the crossroads of Kansas City I was so excited. I made my reservation and I stayed for two nights.What can I say it was such an amazing experience I stayed in studio number three and well to say the least I have booked my second stay for studio number five. The rooms are unique unlike any other place I’ve stayed at before if you’re looking for a getaway I highly recommend No Vacancy hotel in the crossroads of Kansas City!

No Vacancy is amazing. Rented all units and held a morning after the wedding informal brunch for out of town guests. The rooms are so very comfortable and fun. The kitchen area is stocked with high-end appliances and electronics. I brought my Technivorm coffee maker from home to brew our coffee and was shocked to see a small Technivorm onsite. Thanks for a great place that is fun, modern and everything we needed for our guests and event.

I stayed here for two days (December 28th and 29th) and absolutely enjoyed it. Its a very unique space and no two rooms are the same. I loved the location too. Easy to walk to where I wanted to go during the day (Crown Center, Southwest Boulevard corridor, Town Topic, Power and Light District, etc). I recommended this place to my friends and family looking at going on a trip soon. I plan on staying again in the future.

One of the best places I have ever stayed. I don’t live in KC but I tell everyone that is visiting or lives there that they should book this place for their family members that come visit. I want to travel back to KC again only as an excuse to stay at No Vacancy

No Vacancy is one of the most uniquely beautiful places Ive stayed and a total standout in Kansas City. Each room is designed with individuality and creative attention to details, no two are the same. The Crossroads location is walking distance to so many great bars, restaurants, cafes, and galleries. The communal space and rooftop patio at No Vacancy were so gorgeous and welcoming, we couldnt resist staying-in to enjoy the wonderful space (which after popping a few bottles, made the mini-hotel feel like our own intimate hangout). This place is so much more than just a comfortable bed — during a time when its not easy to get away, this 100% felt like a beautiful escape and memorable experience. Well definitely be back to explore.

My stay was OK they have the heat regulated it was cold outside so my room was a little cold and I couldn’t make it warmer because of the regulation but I thought the room look very nice it was real clean and private I still haven’t received my deposit back and I don’t know how to get a hold of this place to get it I only stayed for like six hours I didn’t mess anything in the room up They never sent an email saying they had to keep my deposit or anything I just haven’t got it back

Had SUCH a lovely stay here! The whole place smells incredible and is so tastefully and thoughtfully curated. I went home feeling very refreshed and relaxed.
