Was a fun place to go dance but there was very little line dancing and the line dance songs were outdated. Then there were “freestyle” times where almost no one was on the floor. I feel like incorporating newer line dances and doing more than just three every 45minutes to an hour would definitely make the experience more enjoyable. Electric Cowboy Lewisville has incorporated more new dances and I think it would bring more people to the floor and definitely boost the atmosphere.
Good dance for great security the drinks are good if a little overpriced. And despite the area it is really safe. Its a great place to hang out with your friends dance the night away.
Would love if they played some other line dance songs then what they play EVERY time. I go only once or twice a month and can pretty much guess what song they will play next. If you ask to play a different line dance, they will tell you “no one knows it.” But no one knows it because they play the same 15-20 songs every nightWould also love if they played a few more line dances after midnight then maybe two per hourWith this being the only country bar in the near area, would love to see a little change
I never leave reviews but this is actually necessary. This was my first and definitely last time ever going to the Electric Cowboy. My friends and I love dancing and socializing, but unfortunately this was not the spot for it. While being there, the employees were not friendly and as a new clientele, asking questions was apparently not okay. The DJs (specifically the girl with dark hair, skinny, and eyelash extensions) was very rude when we requested one line dance song ( Flex by Cupid, very popular). Mind you this is our first time and we are excited and hopeful to be in the atmosphere. Most places that we go to are very kind about requesting songs (regardless if they allow it or not). The DJs (or should I say Aux people because apparently it is a corporate playlist and they have no control over music as if it’s not 2024 and music is easy to search) were very hostile, to my friends and I (who politely asked about songs) when we asked for a certain song they said “It’s a corporate playlist, we play what we Have”. Which is very understandable but the tone and body language of the girl was very disrespectful and unprofessional. I asked what the process of requesting popular songs looked like and out of no where the girl that I mentioned before said was told “we play what we play and if you don’t like it you can tell the assistant manager”. I kindly mentioned that I was having a conversation with the other work, a man (who was actually polite) and said “I am talking to him, you weren’t up here” and she rudely replied with “I left to say bye to a friend” (why was leaving to socialize on the job acceptable?). Regardless, I don’t feel as if Electric Cowboy is a place for people who are looking for dancing, line dances, modern music, and diversity. I don’t typically say or experience this, but it was giving prejudice vibes. Only caters to one specific demographic. Go to Brewskis or Discovery, I wish we would’ve just gone there.
Not really what I expected. I love country songs. However, I would not want to go to a club listening to sappy mostly unpopular country love songs all night. It put people to sleep. Additionally, drinks were not good. I had whiskey sour. It tasted like water diluted with a little bit of alcohol. You get what it would taste like. And we were famished. However, there was no food not even peanuts. It was my first and my last visit.
Racist atmosphere with bad playlists. No diversity. If it is then it’s a song from like 2002
Line dancing to current top country songs is in right now and the E-COWBOY in L.R. Ar. just wont play much modern music to line dance to. The floor is full of dancers when they Finally do have a good song. Not very many 2 steppers out the rest of the time. I dont see why they like the dance floor almost empty.
Its not bad, but I hated inhaling smoke and smelling like an ashtray when I left. Its a shame because I think you could attract more people if there was clean air to breathe.
My wife and I are in late 40s and 50. We went on a Thursday night and they played a variety of music. It wasnt so loud that you couldnt have a conversation. The floor is easy to dance on. Wife had the drink special, which was not real. But it was cheap and the bartender remembered my name. Will go back
Literally a black man sitting down and having a good time doing nothing wrong not approaching or bothering anyone at all period. And was accused and attacked by a white male falsely accusing me of “looking at his girl” which I was totally not even into period. Told the bouncer this guy was harassing me and my cousin and was kicked out shortly after and racist white male was aloud to stay. RACISM IS ALIVE AND WELL AT ELECTRIC COWBOY IN ARKANSAS SHOULD BE SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATELY. Don’t attend.
Okay, I dont like seeing people complain about the country music. If you stay on a weekend night or on a popular night PAST 10:30, you will hear nothing but dance and top 40 with the occasional 3-4 slow dancing country songs throughout the night. HUGE dance floor, it fills up fast around 11pm on weekends. Gets really crowded late on weekend. Great drink specials but the staff can be quite biased sometimes. I love coming here with friends.
It was amazing! Im black & love country music. I had a great time playing pool & and just singing. And at first I was scared but nobody treated me any different! Staff is very friendly! Great club!!! Going to be going on Thursday night for some line dancing fun!!! 😍
Great place to have a great time three different places to get drinks from never too far away. Great music. I also love the fact that they have a breathalyzer in the bar. For$1. You can check and see if youre safe to drive home of not. Looking forward to going back next time Im in town
Would come again if we came through town. We didnt stay past midnight. Started a tad slow but really progressed. Fair drinks. Great staff. Great smoking section
Overall nice western bar with nice setup, I had a good time. DJ played a nice balance of line dance songs and hip-hop mixes. But the rest of the country songs were over half slow songs. Which made it harder to stay amped on the dance floor. Could use more jiving dance songs. He also wouldnt take requests from men, hed ignore us, But if we sent the women in our party hed perk right up.The smoke is pretty heavy, I was a visitor and didnt expect it.Finally, a women from the next table came over to talk to our party and one of our guys stood up because he couldnt hear her. Her boyfriend or significant other charged our table shoving his partner and members of our party four times. The bouncers got over to it quickly but even when it was explained to them they let the guy stay.
I visited the Electric Cowboy for the first time today around 1am and had such an unpleasant experience. When we first arrived, we parked and were getting our things together to go inside and the police instantly rides up to our car shining his light telling us to get out our vehicle and go inside. That rubbed me the wrong way, but my friends and I wanted to enjoy the night so we went inside. Then we went to the bar and the bartender LAUREN was extremely rude on several occasions and started yelling at us and I had enough. So I ask her to stop yelling, because at the end of the day you are at work and we are still buying customers. She then stated “do you want to leave” and at this point I’m upset, because she was the one being rude to CUSTOMERS and needed to leave. She gestures for security and they tell me to follow them. They didn’t ask me what happened, nor were they around to hear the rude bartender…but they demanded I leave and that was unfair. I did nothing wrong and I will not be returning to their establishment and I will not recommend them to anyone after my experience.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. We have not been in many years and we walked in and instantly……it smelled like sweaty feet or a stale locker room!! We walked around and sat at one of the back tables and could NOT take the stale sweaty smell and left. We were not there even 5 mins because of the smell. They got 10 dollars from us and that will be the last time we are there until some major cleaning is done. I know we can’t be the only ones who smell that stinch!!
Whatever you do DO NOT GO EARLY all the staff and the Manager has an ATTITUDE and very MOUTHIE. The doors were open so there you go. I WILL NOT BE BACK and have gone for over 30+ years. Very disappointed and disgusted there are other clubs will be glad to take our money!!!!! And besides its not recommended by me for the older crowd only the 21 years of age to 30. Music gets really loud around 9:30 pm.
If you are a dancer, this is the place to go!! Dance floor is amazing.... 2 step, 3 step......No one runs into you!!! No cover before 9..... beer prices were great!! Had the floor to ourselves til 10.....but even then, the mix of country, line, and other music was good!!
Great place to dance and / or shoot pool with friends.
My friends and I had a few drinks and went to the piano bar. When the bar closed at 2, we wanted somewhere else to go have fun and dance; the electric cowboy was open until 5am. We had a blast! The only negatives is that there were quite a few fights while we were there and there is no mechanical bull to ride! It is also best to go if you have had several drinks and have a safe ride home!
4 stars because of the smoke.I do frequent the Cowboy. We always have a blast. The drinks are reasonably priced (about average for a Fri/Sat night in Little Rock). The music is a huge variety which keeps it interesting. My number one thing is safety when going out in Little Rock. I have never felt unsafe here. I have witnessed a few fights but they were broken up in split second time and carried outside. The crowd is very diverse as well. This isnt a country only club.
This is the place I met my husband so it will always hold a special place in my heart. I love how it doesn’t matter who you are there is a place for you there. They play all different kinds of music and sell every kind of alcohol you can imagine. The food is good as well.
Lots of hip hop music. Line dancing on occasion and a little bit of country dance music. Young crowd who take your seats and moves your beer then wants to fight you over it. Need to take the Cowboy off the name and change it to The Electric Hip Hop.
Be aware that smoking inside this venue is allowed and abundant. If youre not interested in increasing your risk of lung cancer and mortality in general I would avoid this club. Its easier to dance when the air is clean!
Very nice place to enjoy and do line dance, the drinks were extremely WEAK and you could tell its just syrup, probably why everyone was ordering beer instead but Im not a fan so I took my chances
My go to place when I just want to have a drink and kickback. Not too rowdy and not pricey. The smoke can be overwhelming but eh, who cares. Friendly staff. I always feel safe and welcomed.
Last night my fiance was antagonized by the security staff at the front door. We walked up and they just started threatening to not let him in. If he said anything back they became even more confrontational. The only way we made it in was to be the bigger people and not respond to the staffs negativity.Management needs to read all these reviews. The only way The Cowboy will survive is to fire the entire security staff. Management and all, and start anew.Horrible way to treat customers. And, FYI, we are first responders. He is part of the force of men and women keeping us all safe day to day. He did not need to be treated so poorly. Please heed my warning. Do not trust the security. Dont go here.
It had a great variety of music. The staff was very friendly. The drinks are seasonally priced. The dance floor is sized just right. There are pool tables and plenty of places to get drinks.
This club used to be a really great place but poor management and a group of clickish employees has made it an undesirable atmosphere. Dont waste your money or your time. Its way out of the loop as far as location. All the good bars are downtown now.
Reasonably priced and lots of fun!! Great music and a big dance floor
Wow! I used to go to Ele Cowboy about every other weekend tell it just so bad and unsafe your scared to even turn in the parking lot. Every night there is some kind of fight breaks out either inside or out. Always some kind of fight, beatings, shotting in the parking lot. I like my life to much to go here any more.
Fun place to go. The music is nice, the drinks are awesome. Definitely coming here more often.
Very clean, easy to drive, need to go early for a good parking space. Staff very polite and had good recommendations. Will definitely be going back.
A biased club. The dress code is targeted towards black people. I was told by a security guard that they are throwing ppl out for sagging, while only my shirt was tucked in and my pants on my ass... I asked him if he had only told me that because I was blank... He had a blank stair and walked off
Good DJ music for dancing. Drinks aren’t too high. Smoke will kill you. 3 stars for music and dancing, but can’t go higher because of smoke and rednecks looking for fights.
This place is so lame. Plays too much country music. Waste of my time.
Lot of fun... get here before 9 for no cover. Cheap drinks before 10. Veterans and military are always free (unless a special event).
Great place, great pool, dancing, etc...but from what I hear they are currently CLOSED, due to COVID-19. An rumor is they are going outta business.
Open after all the bars close, if you show up drunk youll have a great time. Would not recommend sober!
The security Guards are A-holes and will kick you out for no reason and Some of the bartenders are rude as well never going back there again
Awesome place to go for a fun time and line dancing all night long. And its open till 5am
Seen an been to better western places this. You would think that its one of a kind in little Rock that it would go all out. They have nothing besides the name
This place needs to be shut down, its dirty and the staff members are unpleasant. I will not go into this place ever again.
Variety of music. Everyone had fun. Very reasonably priced
I enjoy it very fun place I cant wait for karaoke
Worst club I’ve ever been too.... it’s like a bowling alley without the bowling.
Always a fun spot to enjoy meeting new friends and enjoying a good time!
Awesome place to go to everybody so friendly being from New York City this is a good spot
Great place to go dancing! One of my favorite places to go.
Really fun place. Some of the employees are really nice
There WUZ a mechanical bull until I sat on it
Awesome place good people country dancing!
Cover charge was different from what they told us over the phone
Most nights I dont remember coming here. This was probably one of those nights. I dont remember leaving either Im sure.
Racist against black people. Save your money
Great place to get away and have some fun
Its a okay place.... Just a bunch of creeps that do not understand NO!
Addison is amazing i love her so much
I really like the place.
Great place to dance and spend time with friends
Big dance floor and good variety of music!
Only come here if you wanna throw up or get in a fight.
Pointless and boring, do your self a favor and just stay home.
Dont play enough mixed music and when they do its line dances
5am night club, nightly specials and dance floor
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU BLACK !!!!
A typical raunchy country dance bar.
It was great and staff was incredible.
