Celio has such a way! I went to him twice in the past week for some really gnarly neck pain and chronic back pain. He made me feel so much better and gave me some good tips for healthier and more comfortable sleeping habits. Really excited to work his massages into my self care routine. Big recommend!

I visited for cupping therapy, and after assessing my needs, he recommended a deep tissue massage, explaining its benefits. Following the massage, he generously offered cupping therapy completely free because he wanted me to also experience that. This definitely wont be my last time there.

Not really sure what else to say other than this man knows his stuff and hes very good at what he does. My back was all jacked up from an injury I had from doing cable pull downs. I had suffered for 2 weeks before finally deciding to go see Celio and he worked wonders. That may sound obvious, but many massage therapists Ive been to do the same routine even if you ask them to hit certain areas, which is disappointing. Not Celio! I am a medical massage therapist, who also owns their own business. And I work in the Bay Area. But I came here to LA for a quick work trip, and needed a massage. A REAL/CLINICAL massage.He is educated-even having more education than most MTs in this country. The intuition is there. The comfort is there. He has everything ready for you. From intake form, water, a cute little dog. 😌The negative reviews that are on here(which are very minimal) are there because the people didn’t respect his time/education.Coming in late means you don’t get your full time….because his time is valuable. If you don’t like the pressure…speak up…ask questions. Don’t tell him what to do? That makes no sense. He is the one with the education. Not the client.The body holds a lot of trauma and pain that we don’t feel on a regular basis. It’s okay to be vulnerable with him because he is encouraging and supportive of the process. And lets you know he isn’t putting a lot of pressure on “knots”(which don’t exist lol) or whatever words an uneducated about massage, person would use.I know how tough it is to feel pain and he really helped me today work through it. And he guided me and listened to my concerns.He knows his stuff. And his business is clean and calm.Thank you!Any time I’m in LA I’m coming to you. Period.

Very relaxing experience that left me feeling relief from a shoulder problem. He spent time at the end explaining which muscles were tightening and why. He also walked me through exercises and stretches that would aid in recovery. I will certainly be returning.

I’ve been to a number of masseuses over the years and Celio hands down has been the best one. He takes the time to get to know you and what you want to focus on - but will also do an assessment during the massage to pinpoint areas where I didn’t even think I had tension and removed knots from there as well. I gave it a couple days before leaving a review to see if what I was feeling was just the initial relief of getting massage or anything more than that, and I can say now that after a couple of days, that the benefits of that one session with Celio has stayed with me, having me still feeling loose and relaxed. I went to see Celio quite a while back, and now that I need to see him again, I realized I never left a review for the first time.This was the single best massage Ive ever received in my entire life. I havent gotten hundreds, but Ive gotten enough and of various types to know, Celio knows what hes doing.I couldnt turn my neck to the left when I went in.The next day, movement was returning. He also went 30 minutes over our session to ensure he gave me the best chance of success by not missing anything that could be contributing to my pain.10/10

I am visiting from Australia and I’ve had pain in my back, neck and shoulders for a number of weeks. After finding Celio through a google search and seeing that his prices were very reasonable, I got a 90 minute myofascial massage with him. In the few days since I’ve seen him, my pain has decreased substantially. He focused not only on my areas of concern but also addressed my left lateral line which gave me great relief. I was really blown away by his knowledge and I’ll definitely be visiting again before I go home!

The service Celio provides is better than any massage therapist I’ve seen. Today he helped me with a shoulder that I’ve had soreness in for a few days now and after the session it seemed to completely subside. As a bodybuilder my body holds a lot of tension and it’s been a pleasure working with Celio recently because of how knowledgeable he is about the human body.

I arrived at 12:00 PM for our appointment. There was no directions on where to park and the business owner did not meet me outside or respond to a single one of my cell phone calls even though I made multiple attempts to reach them in preparation for my appointment. I asked to use the restroom before we started to which they didn’t give any indication that this was cutting into our appointment time, and after three minutes of using the restroom I began filling out forms where he informed me we were now cutting in 12 minutes to our session and I was going to be billed for it regardless of the fact he had not even started his work yet. When I said that wasn’t fair and called him out on it, he proceeded to get aggressive with me, tear up my forms and kick me out of his house. He also threatened me saying he was about to get really crazy if I didn’t leave. This man is a horrific business owner, and I could not EVER recommend to ever give this man your business.

I had been dealing with some really bad knee pain for about two months. While in the process of trying to sort out what was wrong, I went to Celio in hopes of getting some relief. And after two sessions, the majority of the pain was gone. Celio is very knowledgeable and intentional in both his assessment and treatment of pain. He is very well educated on anatomy and in the field of massage therapy, which most therapists I have been to are not. I love his approach to finding the causation of the pain and then using the therapy massage as a modality to help you heal. He educates you on how the body works and gives you great take aways on how you can help yourself and navigate your way back to wellness. I am a yoga teacher and know my fair share of anatomy and I learned so much from him from just one visit. He is legit and knows his stuff.

I was experiencing excruciating back pain this morning from a pinched nerve from bad posture and poor ergonomics at my work from home situation. Celio was able to squeeze me in and it really helped. I was in town for Christmas and had a chronic ankle issue flare up right before a big trip to Mexico. I knew I had to get it worked on right away, but I didnt know any massage or physical therapists in LA. I took the risk of finding someone on Google Maps even though I normally prefer recommendations from friends. I was more than pleasantly surprised...Celio is AMAZING! I wish I could take him to Mexico with me to continue working on my ankle :)He is more than a regular massage therapist -- he really knows anatomy and is intuitive with the human body. His pressure and manipulations were super effective but not painful. I could tell that he really cares about his clients and that he enjoys the work that he does. He was fun to talk to and gave me lots of useful information about my bodys needs and quirks as he worked on me. As a woman going to a male massage therapist for the first time, Im not always 100% comfortable, but Celio was SUPER professional at every moment and I felt at ease. 1000% will be going back next time Im in LA.

I had my first massage with Celio and I have to say that one session with him did more to address the tension Ive been feeling in my shoulder arm than a couple months of visiting a physical therapist. He has an amazing ability to target trigger points and Ive already scheduled a second session.

Celio most certainly knows the ins and outs of his craft and in addition, he is possibly the most personable massage therapist Ive visited. The last time I had any massage treatment was before the first wave of COVID lockdowns but Celio managed to work through nearly three years worth of accumulated muscle tension over the course of just a couple sessions. If I were being selfish, I would hope that Celios practice stays a local secret so I can still book sessions with him in the future since I bet those spots will go flying once the word spreads. He deserves recognition for his work though so Ill say that if you choose to pay Celio a visit, you will be glad you did.

Best massage Ive ever had in my life! I am visiting from out of town and was feeling super tense and uncomfortable, so I was excited to find Celios massage option a 10 min walk from my hotel. He was very attentive, communicative, and found knots in muscles that I had no idea were giving me trouble. Only downside is now I have to go try to find a similarly awesome experience back home in my town! Maybe Ill just come visit LA more often.

I had one of the best massages ever as Célio is very attentive to the specific needs of each client. He is a massage therapist who really focuses on the area you need attention with instead of lightly going over it and doing the rest of the body. He cared about helping me out of pain. I carry a lot of stress in my upper back and have a curve in my spine so he made sure to try and fix the issue of stiffness. He also makes sure you’re comfortable with the pressure he’s using. Great experience! Made me feel comfortable and welcomed feedback to find the best focus for the session. I had extremely tight muscles in my shoulders, neck and back. The hour massage helped a lot to relax those muscles and regain motion. Celio was a helpful resource for understanding places I didn’t even know I was holding tension and explained about pressure points that helped me understand some causes of my nerve pain. Particularly his focus on the back of my neck helped relieve tension that often gives me headaches. Note I was surprised when walking up because I wasn’t expecting a small studio in back, but the space is lovely!

Have been twice for two different sport related issues, and both times have found Celio great at helping me out. One time I went following a back pain due to carrying heavy pack while out backpacking, and another time to help with hamstring issue due to training for a running race. He is very good at finding the tight spots / and source of muscle pain, and this has greatly helped me both times get back out to my sports. I will be back!

I’m a physical therapist and it is challenging to find someone that knows how to safely and effectively work on the body. Celio is great and I am so happy to have found him. Celio was amazing! 1st session started with a consultation to understand my posture throughout the workday. He was attentive and was able to identify the areas of tension while ensuring pressure was okay for me. I was particularly impressed when he focused on my neck. I got SUCH a good massage! Celio is incredible and is so attentive to your needs. I had a knot in my back that had been bothering me for weeks and he really dug in there to relieve the tension. I encourage those with fibromyalgia to book a massage here! I have fibromyalgia, and it has been a struggle to find a massage therapist who understands the condition. I had not gotten a massage in a year because the last time I got one at another massage studio, I was so sore and in bed for a week. However, Celio was amazing! Before the massage, he asked me about my needs and concerns and I filled out paperwork where I mapped out the problematic areas in my body and provided more info about my pain. He did myofascial massage (which I never tried before) and I felt refreshed afterwards. I have an athletic background with many injuries owing to my previous sporting endeavors. In my time I have had many sports therapy / recovery type massages. Never before however have I met a masseuse who was able to find all my injury points so quickly and precisely. As a former dancer and all-around active person, I have had my fair share of massages in my life and I can say without a doubt that Celio is one of the most knowledgeable and effective body workers Ive seen. I am always wary of trying a new therapist because Ive had many mediocre massages that never quite get to the root of my issues, but I was in great hands with Celio. I came in with several issues: chronic tendonitis in my foot/leg, some inflammation in my hip and shoulder, and lots of tension in my neck. He concentrated on the areas I needed and kept asking for feedback on the pressure and my comfort level. He found several spots to help ease the tension in my neck and shoulders and even did a little bit of cupping to restore blood flow to an area that was really locked up. I left feeling invigorated and even a little bit taller than when I came in. Besides Celio being simply wonderful and using his knowledge of anatomy to give a fantastic massage, his space is really well thought out and very calming — a little spot of zen nestled in Hollywood.

By far the best massage of my life. He took time to make sure the pressure was just right and kept checking in with me to make sure or ask if he could work more firmly in an area that needed more. I respect the other reviews & reviewers, but I had a radically different (and unpleasant) experience with Celio. Despite repeatedly and respectfully saying that I needed less pressure, and jumping/gasping on the table from the pain of having inflamed trigger points forcefully dug into (I was in a lot of pain already, thats why I came to him), Celio simply refused to respect my requests, and instead kept justifying why he needed to use that much pressure (this is the technique, it didnt hurt when I applied it over here, I need to use this force to release the fascia.) He also seemed to take the requests personally and ended the session abruptly after 10 minutes saying I cant help you (which was totally the right call, and I thanked him for his honesty). This where it got unpleasant, I barely got dressed when he followed me to the door continuing a one-sided argument with me, defending his knowledge and technique, saying he felt I was telling him how to do his job. I was in pain and had zero interest in verbal sparring, I had to literally throw my hands up and say sir, I dont want to argue with you at which point he seemed to snap back to himself, then escorted me off the property with a respectful, if forced, goodbye. There are 2 sides to every story, but there are exactly zero reasons to not respect a clients requests for less pressure due to painful response. Zero. And there is no justification for any of the ensuing drama in a professional environment. Im not impugning this person or their skills, Im just relating my sole experience with them as honestly and fairly as I know how. As always in life, your mileage may vary

I had an incredible experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable, and seemed to know exactly where I was having tension or pain just based on my spine and overall alignment. I felt so much tension released and so relaxed s I am a nurse so I am on my feet all day - he knew exactly what areas needed attention. The best massage I have ever had. I will certainly be back.

Such a great massage. He obviously knows so much about the body. I suffer from chronic pain and stiffness and I felt relief after the very first session. Normally getting massaged by a man at a private studio would scare me. But I’m glad I listened to all the other positive reviews. It is all very nice and professional. I am a regular customer now!

Cielo is quite the step above any other masseuse I have been to. He is not just someone that gives massages, but he is someone who can identify areas that are causing you pain (some of which I don’t notice until he touches the area). He is also very attentive to what you say hurts when you come in for a massage and focuses his attention accordingly.
