Massage Envy

My therapist, Jessie , did an excellent job as she always does. However, I was scheduled for a hot stone massage and when I arrived I was told I couldn’t get hot stones. I was offered salt stones as an alternative but I’m not interested in getting the salt stones. After discussing possibilities with Jessie I requested cupping to try and relieve some pain in my shoulder. The cupping and massage were good. When I scheduled my next appointment I asked for hot stones again and was told I couldn’t get them for the next visit either. I feel like ME is pushing customers away from hot stones and that is what helps me the most in managing my chronic pain. All this is after the fact that my last hot stone massage I was asked to pay extra (above my credits which are more than sufficient to cover the cost) because the company changed their policy. The manager asked for time to work through the issue so customers could use credits only to cover the cost. So I go back this time and there is no additional cost but I can’t get the service I am scheduled to receive. I’ve been a customer of ME for about 15 years and I’m seriously considering going elsewhere. The reasons I haven’t left yet are my therapist is wonderful and I have so many credits that I hate to lose them. I’m reevaluating whether I want to continue as a customer of ME or go somewhere else that is more customer focused.

I came in today and had a wonderful 2 hour deep tissue massage. The staff was very polite when I came in, and the establishment was very clean. I had some serious trouble issues in my shoulders and back that were able to be worked out. By the next day, most of my pain in those areas was gone..

I really enjoyed my visit at this Massage Envy. I front desk staff was so nice, friendly, and helpful coming in and going out. Amber was absolutely amazing. She took her time to making sure I was very comfortable. Her techniques were so soothing and relaxing. The whole experience was very pleasant and I will continue to visit more. Thank you all so much!!

I’ve been going to this Massage Envy to see Dwayne for many years. He is quite simply the BEST. He has excellent skills. He is a strong guy but he uses excellent technique, not brute force, to destroy my many knots. He always listens and then targets my trouble spots without fail. He is the perfect combination of professional, but still warm and friendly. If I feel like chatting, he chats. If I want to relax and have peace and quiet, he lets me do that as well. Quite frankly, I don’t know what I would do without him! On a scale of 1-5 stars, I give him a 10!!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Literally the worst massage experience I have ever had and I get massages about every 3 months. I normally go to a spa for massage but needed one last minute. I went in and was checked in with Nicole who was initially nice and seemed to care about my experience while catering to what I wanted for my session. My session was with Jack. His first few words to me was how he thought it was Friday and mad that it was just Wednesday. He was very negative and seemed annoyed and exhausted to be working. The massage was so rushed. While draping me he was literally pulling so tight on the sheets. Literally felt so tight on my thighs. He was not gentle at all when putting my limbs back down on the table after massaging them. I was also told by Nicole that there would be a scalp massage and there wasn’t. ALSO, the session wasn’t even 50 minutes. I was told the 60 minute massage included 5 min for undressing and 5 min for dressing after. Well he took off even more time than that. Literally the worst massage and experience of my life. THEN, after the massage, I walked out to Nicole who was supposed to check me out and see how things went. I told her of the experience and she basically was like “I’m sorry, I will follow up with him” AND THAT WAS IT. Then she proceeded to ignore everything I was telling her and tried to encourage me to come again and get a membership. What an absolute joke and TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN.

Front desk are pleasant & friendly which is so nice when you arrive. Had a 90 minute massage with Robbie and it was probably one of my top massages Ive had & I get them regularly .He was very professional from the moment I walked in. Making sure that he knew exactly the areas I needed to work on and my comfort level. I would highly recommend massage Envy and Robbie for Massage.

Shelby was great and really took the time to find out where my aches and pains were and what she could do to help. By the time I left, I felt amazing. The staff was great and very professional and I thought Shelby did such a great job that I joined the membership that I wasn’t planning on doing. My massage was so relaxing and took away the pain I was feeling.

Shelly is absolutely amazing. She is professional and educates me in a way that makes sense about my skin care. Now that I’ve been coming in regularly to see her I have a glow about my skin that people notice! Middletown Massage Envy has a really warm and positive energy ❤️

Skylar does an impeccable job. I feel she listens well to what her client’s wants and needs are and goes above and beyond to fulfill them. I’m 30 weeks. Had a prenatal massage by Danielle and OMG it was wonderful. Most prenatal massage therapists act like they’re afraid to really get in there and most times I leave without much relief but Danielle asked me where it was hurting and worked those areas out! Can’t wait to go back! I legit feel so much better!

Two stars because the location is beautiful and the young ladies at the desk have good energy. For the location and lobby area. But I can’t judge only on that because I came for a massage. I Arrived for a massage I have been in so much pain honestly and I was really looking forward after being cancel from the other location the day of my massage. I read the reviews for this location and decided I would try this one. When I was greeted it was 520, they did the paperwork and honestly asking questions about my life and where my kids live was a bit much. It was going into my time. Some of us come to relax, not get wound back up with questions. I understand you’re curious but it shouldn’t take time Away from my appointment and it should be noted ppl don’t always want to talk about their life and personal affects. I was taken back at 533, my masseuse…the masseuse who I will refer to as “they”desire to get me to upsell on some lotion so as they said they wouldn’t have to work as hard, wasn’t a reason for me to think twice about purchasing. While doing the massage they use their elbow and forearm on my right side of my back but not my left. They pinched me twice which was painful and then apologized, didn’t apply enough pressure at all. Kept doing this thing where they use his finger to press but it felt more like a dull eraser tapping and one point they just stood there and had their finger pressing one spot. I assume they was tired, my massage was late in the day and maybe I should’ve scheduled it earlier, I just didn’t have the option with my pain. At the end they told me we were finish, it was 620. So we don’t start until 540/545 I’vei finally was undressed after being ask all of his questions which was repeated from the first person who ask me questions and then we finish early. Maybe bc it was a gift switched over to me I was given the worse service and someone that I didn’t feel cared about my massage. I didn’t make any noise unless it was pain. That’s not normal. I’ve had enough massages to know this wasn’t maybe their passion. I was getting dressed they knocked on the door 5 min late and was ready to come in, I had to yell I’m getting dressed. I mean the room was paid for. Why are you rushing me? Overall the worse massage, sorry fren and I’m so still in pain and tight.

Robbie keeps my body in check. He is, by far, the outstanding massage therapist I’ve ever encountered. I always feel better walking out than when I walked in. Additionally, the front office staff is friendly and efficient. They keep the schedule tight, and I am always in and out on time.

I HIGHLY recommend everyone go see Shelby. She cares about making your experience as personalized to you as possible and creates a welcoming and relaxing environment from start to finish. I always leave feeling amazing! 10/10 !

Visiting Massage Envy Middletown is like visiting with friends. I’ve had a membership at ME for many years and I look forward to my visits. They are so friendly from the moment you arrive. My therapist, Amber, is awesome. She is soft spoken, kind, and truly cares about how I feel. She is very professional with keeping me draped and comfortable during my session. She finds the trouble spots where I hold tension and adjusts the pressure to my preference. During checkout, the smiles and kind words make me look forward to my next visit. Amber was great .I was confused over the pricing.I told the perspn who scheduled it that I had a $100 gift certificate i wanted to use.I was expecting a one hour massage not 1.5 hr. I misunderstood her but I did want Amber again.My bill ended up being $230.I thought it was going to be $130.Massage & hot Himmalayan salt rocks.

I have been going here to Massage Envy Middletown for a couple of months and every experience has been amazing. I love both Maddie and Jessica. I have problems with dry skin and dark spots caused by age and can already see a lot of improvement. Added bonus is the relaxing atmosphere. I leave feeling like a new person every time. 😍

I work out 6 days a week and massage is a necessary means of recovery. Dwayne is an expert at finding the sore places and eliminating them. He is also professional and attentive - invaluable qualities for a massage therapist.

Marcia truly has a gift! I’m currently nursing and my back and shoulders have been so tight, after a visit with her I can move and bend and not feel like my muscles are protesting with every movement! I can’t wait to go back!

Shelly is one of the best estheticians I have experienced. I have sensitive skin. She is very through and really cares to give you the best facial massage experience. She asks what my needs are and doesn’t push me into products or skin care techniques that I am not comfortable with or unfamiliar. I am glad to find someone who is great with my skincare and needs! Daniell was great !! I got a Sweedish Massage which I found to be very gentle and relaxing ; being my first massage it was what I needed for starters;I do feel a big difference with my blood flow where I was getting a lot of numbness on my thigh above my knee replacement .ThankUTrish

I received a 90 minute massage with Dwayne and oh my goodness! He is AMAZING!! Hands down the best massage I’ve ever received. Ever! My neck, shoulders and back were extremely tight/tense before my massage. Dwayne worked magic in those 90 minutes and I felt like a new person with no tightness or pain in my neck, shoulders or back. I was in shock because, typically, after a massage some of my tightness is gone but I usually still feel some sort of pain. Not this time. He’s usually booked and now I know why. If I ever get a chance to book with him again, I’ll jump on it. Dwayne is the best!

This was my first time getting a facial and it was perfection. I had Jessica as my esthetician and she was amazing! She has the most soothing voice, making it so relaxing for me. I love Jess and think she is a fabulous person. But I paid $130 for 60 minutes. I was only back in the room for 25 minutes. This is very disappointing.

Amber is an excellent masseuse. She listens to my concerns and checks in with pressure applied to be sure I’m comfortable. She answers questions and is very knowledgeable. When applicable she may make a suggestion for a better well rounded experience. Amber is always polite and reliable.

If you havent had a massage, please book here. Book with Marcia, I have medical concerns that cause me to be in pain all the time, but since Ive been seeing her, my pain is better tolerated. The only sad part is that I cant get a massage more often. She is well aware of the areas that need attention the most. After my massage Im able to work my 12 hour shifts feeling a lot better than before. I highly recommend giving it a try.Update: 9/23 I woke up with a bad crook in my neck and was unable to move, Marcia wasnt available so I had to try someone else. I cant say enough that Massage Envy is the place to go. When I left there I was able to move my neck and my pain was very low. Of course I had to continue following up with Marcia to make sure my pain stay at a minimum. I had a massage yesterday and I was able to do an hour walk this morning. I dont do well with medicine and I no getting massages can be expensive but if you can sacrifice please give Massage Envy a try.

Went for a custom facial. Was glad to be able to get this for myself and to detox and make my face and skin feel better. I knew the price going in. And the esthetician that I had who did the facial was just ok. She did the basics that Ive had done at other places, just at the other places Ive gone to seemed more comfortable and had more experienced estheticians. She did not do the full hour , and started late and ended 5 mins. early. I guess thats the way it is there. When I went to pay at the front desk, I asked about the membership fees and what is it I would get out of that. The girl at the front desk explained and then I said I dont think I want to do that and then she said well why and I just said because of the money and asking me why I was not something she should have done .t.hat was very rude.

Expected a much better experience then I received. I came in for an 8pm appt which I know is late in the day but I still expect to have the same experience as a day time guest. There was no music in the room, I was serenaded by the AC fan the entire time and randomly a child running and screaming down the hall. My massage therapist seemed completely disconnected and the energy could be felt. After a long day I was looking forward to ending it on a relaxing note but that was not the case. I recommended not going to this place in the evening for sure, maybe you’ll have a better experience in the day time.

I got a massage from Jennifer, and it was the best day of my life. She found tight spots in spots I didnt know I had spots. I feel like a brand-new person. She is the best therapist ever.

I was a massage envy member 10+ years ago, and the company has changed drastically over the years. Far more salesy. Their costs have nearly doubled and their therapists earn a fraction of what you pay. Many of the perks that existed prior are no longer available. Every time I come in they try to sell me on a membership, but tell me I need a written doctor’s note to cancel it. Then when I asked to prebook my next appointment with my preferred therapist, I was told that therapist is off-limits to non-members. I pay double what members pay because they don’t even give me the autonomy to choose when I’d like to end my own membership that I’m paying for, and now I don’t have the autonomy to choose my therapist. I will not be booking with any Massage Envy location moving forward and would not recommend to anyone.*Updated to say that my husband used my final appointment today, paid $150 for a 50-minute massage and after they tried to sell him on a membership (as they do) they offered to prebook him with my preferred therapist after telling me 24 hours before that I could not prebook with this therapist unless I was a member. They make up the rules as they go, and their therapists don’t make a fraction of the money we pay. Your money is better spent directly to a private business than here. This review does not reflect on our amazing therapist.

This was my second appointment with her and I am just over the moon satisfied with the level of customer service/satisfaction, experience with my massage therapy. I will definitely return her again. Jessie was great. I tipped her $20, but the girl at the front desk put $30 and I didnt notice until I got home and I dont think it was an honest mistake. Not happy. Ive never had a positive experience with the business side of ME from the upselling to the relentless membership push and I wont be returning. I hadnt been in nearly 10 years before this, but I needed my back worked on asap. My recommendation would be to find a small business owner and give them your money instead.

I have been seeing Jennifer as my massage therapist for years now. She is amazing! I always feel super relaxed and can feel the benefits until my next visit.

Jessica did a facial on me and I am not kidding it was THE BEST ONE I’VE ever had!!!! I was so relaxed. I would rather have that than a massage!! When I get a massage my relaxation is interrupted by having to turn over and this was laying down and go to la la land! THANK YOU JESSICA!I do have one complaint…. Those ceiling need to be cleaned!!!! You need a NEW cleaning crew! I use to clean houses and that was gross.

Love being a monthly member to massage envy. I love trying out new massage therapist, but when I get Jessica I know I am going to have a great massage. I love doing the cupping add on. She has great pressure and I leave there feeling amazing!!

I’ve never had a massage before so I decided to treat myself for my 51st birthday. From beginning to end the experience was exceptional, and Michele did a wonderful job. I was so relaxed when I left.

My experience was fine, not great. Nothing soothing about the room. Extra stuff on floor . Table and sheets were not warmed at all but were cool. Which is not very soothing and relaxing for me. Oils and lotions used were cool as were the therapists hands.he did not introduce himself and I asked his name after the massage was finished. Experience as a whole was a bit disappointing.

Shelly made my experience relaxing and enjoyable. She was very thorough in explaining each step, the product, the reason, and anticipated results.

Robbie is wonderful. I have tennis elbow, and he continues to work on that issue. Each visit leaves me pain free for a few days. After having this since 2001, it is such a relief. He continues to make it better!

Josie is an expert therapist, she listens to the client and caters to their needs. I had pulled a tendon in my elbow area and she really took the time to massage the tendon. Massage Envy Middletown is always friendly and professional. They maintain a lovely Spa-like feeling. They are always warm and welcoming. All the massage therapists are excellent, but Robbie is a step beyond. He knows the perfect stretches and massage techniques to resolve my sciatic pain immediately. I highly recommend this location.

The massage was great - thank you Ailenda. BUT..my daughter and I received a gift card for a massage for each of us after her father died. She is graduating today so we booked a fun day that concluded with our complimentary massages. At checkout I was told that I had two credits but my daughter had zero. They said there was no way to use the second credit for her - just cant do that. So our complimentary massages cost me more than $160 including a gratuity. A very rude and sour ending to a festive day. I will never use Massage Envy again. I do not want any discounts or credits and I will share my story with everyone I know. I wish I could give negative stars.

Massage Envy is great in Middletown. Excellent staff, reasonable prices. I’ve been using Danielle for my therapist for about 3 years now and she a great and professional therapist.

I really enjoyed my experience going into the place and my therapist was amazing. Did a deep full body tissue and got a lot of my knots out. I did how ever have some issues with the staff there and them not owning up to a mistake that was made and some rude people that work there. But overall the staff that checked me in and therapist was amazing. The owner also took time to resolve the issue I was having and took great care. I will definitely be back for the experience of the owner do amazing job. Lessons were learned. Thank you for my boss for allowing me to have some time to do this. Also thanks for the owner.
