Pleasant staff at reception- however security staff are very rude and ill mannered. Visited this sauna for the first time last week with friend- hardly anybody in there on a Saturday night. Unable to relax in sauna- security kept roaming in and out and then started challenging us assuming we was on drugs. Terrible atmosphere- we will not be returning here again. Perhaps they need to train there staff on how to talk to there customers and they may attract people!!

We went and the jacuzzi wasn’t working and the steam room wasn’t working. So the only facility available was the dry sauna. The whole place was cold and smelt unclean. Also we hadn’t been before and didn’t get told there was a downstairs yet got attitude when asking is this the only floor.I would of offered us a refund if I had worked there due to the fact nothing was working. But no nothing at all!If I could give -5 stars I would.Definitely never going there again.

Disappointed: I arrived about 1pm (5th March 2014) and was told Jacuzzi was not going to be ready for another hour. The sauna was quite small and the door wasnt shutting all the way, when I wanted a drink, I couldnt find the staff - later in the café area 2 members of staff were complaining about their working hours, not being able to take holiday and about a lazy other member of staff - When I left at 4.30 the Jacuzzi still wasnt ready - well situated for the village, cheaper than many saunas - now I know why.

Jacuzzi not working ambitious having one i guess, this place is empty, you have to go down stairs to get to the play rooms, the play rooms were very cold, cold in a sauna ???, only three blokes there and not what i would call attractive. One bloke a few hairs on either side with matching teeth, a few either side. WILL NOT BE GOING AGAIN.

Literally walked in and had to ask where the rest of it was. Cinema room was smaller than my home TV, the place smelled of mould, and the jacuzzi was broken and had been for over a week apparently. Steam room was a luke warm misty room. We Left straight away after complaining and asking for a refund, no luck. £40 for less than 5min of Disappointment. Staff was the only pleasant thing about the place.

Having sat in the sauna for over an hour I neded to cool off and recharge myself, so took myself off to a cabin and looked the door, only to have it constantly banged by the member of staff to make sure I wasnt sleeping. No love I wasnt using the place as a hotel as I live on the edge of the city centre, if I did however require a hotel for the evening I would take myself to the Mercue hotel on Portland street, or the Hilton on Deansgate. So well done Base youve lost another customer

Went to Manchester for the weekend with a friend and decided to visit this sauna, it was a fri evening and there was only us two plus a couple more in there. The place is small, the jacuzzi had a mind of its own and you could not switch it on, you had to sit and wait for it to activate of its own accord, also it was not warm enough and the water was murky and felt slimy The lights above it kept on shorting out ,it was like something from a horror film! Staff were constantly going around knocking on the cubicle doors to ensure that you were not sleeping. In general the whole area was cold, except the small sauna which was ok.The steam room was ok. More people did arrive during the eve/night but on the whole it was a waste of £13. Personally i would not visit this sauna again, staff were ok,but made me feel uneasy as they were always checking the cubicles. the shower and toilet area were cold and grim.I have visited many saunas in Britain and Europe ,and i would give this one a 3 out of 10.

Well I remember it was a friday night and I was down in manchester for a business trip and I was always curious of these places (Me being a bi-curious guy). I headed to the entrance with a few friends which is when I was greeted by a very rude and arrogant bounce who insisted me and my friends pay a £5 door fee , after he checked my wallet and strangely what phone I had we finally got through the doors and headed down stairs. I was then greeted by a very lovely man called Antony and his boss Alec. Antony was extremely helpful and insisted everything here is legit and told me to grab my towel and explore the little place. After getting changed in the little block of lockers I headed upstairs which is where it all go interesting. I found the place extremely clean and always seen a member of staff upstairs doing something like cleaning or just general checks which is when I was able to talk to Antony about the nature of the place which he insisted its not a sleazy sauna but somewhere to hang out , relax and just be yourself. After doing my business in the place I did leave a happy customer and returned during the week to a member of staff slagging off another member due to them leaving which is so unprofessional. Overall I did have a good time but due to the bouncer and the member of staff bitching about things it really put a damper on things. The only thing that made the experience a pleasure what the service I received by the staff members.

I will not be back in this place ever again. I came on February 8th and the place was empty. I tried to use the sink and it is impossible. Because it is either too cold or too hot and you can get burned. I was talking to a person at the front desk, I think the security and was super rude. Now I understand why there is no one in this place. Would not recommend and will not be returning
