Beware if you are thinking of buying a gift certificate from this company.Pros the girl at the front desk and my massage therapist Darryl were great. I have no issues with that part of my experience.I think their gift certificates are misleading. I received 2 - 1 hour massage gift certificates. In the fine print it reads ($66.34 value). This was the second year in a row Id received those certificates from the same person, so I was not a first time customer (and didnt qualify for the introductory rate of $59.99). They charged $99 for the 1 hour massage (which is also misleading because you are not brought in the room until right at your appointment time and then they leave you to change - it should read 45 - 50 minute, but I find this is normal procedure everywhere I go unfortunately).So basically - if you are considering giving this as a gift certificate and dont want your receiver to have to pay $33 out of pocket + tip - Id make sure they are either a member there, or have never been there. Otherwise, Id go somewhere else. I now have to have the conversation w/ the gifter to make sure they dont give me anymore for this place.

My experience with my first professional massage was absolutely amazing. My therapist was Adriane . I walked in with absolutely no intention of getting a membership, and decided to join. The atmosphere was clean, professional, serene and very inviting. The Massage Heights line of body lotions, scrubs, and aromatherapy were amazing. I was also introduced to their line of facial products by their esthetician Jasmine who I have booked a facial with. She was warm, friendly and informative as well. Back to the massage.......book with Adriane at the Matthews location, you will LOVE her.

The management (especially Natalie Dowdy) and therapists are professional, friendly, and accommodating. I have frequented Ritz-Carlton spas and medical massage therapists for my massages. I was given a better massage and provided the same standard of service I have received at any high end spa. I am always greeted by name and my needs are always anticipated. I would recommend a membership at massage heights for anyone looking for high end service without having to pay high end prices.

Massage Heights provides exceptional service for its clients. The soothing experience rates an all around A+ from check-in to the actual massage itself to personalized care instructions provided at check-out. Therapists are attentive to detail and really listen to what you want them to focus on during your individualized sessions. Everyone on staff is pleasant and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Plus the massages are Awesome!!! I would highly recommend Massage Heights at any Charlotte area location - Ive been to Matthews and Cotswold. The wonderful staff will take good care of you!

Good massage for a good price. Had a therapist today that I never had and she is new at this location, she did fantastic - very relaxing. Hope she sticks around.Been a member here since this location opened years ago. Staff always friendlyAppears they have difficulty keeping staff, many therapists leave to other Charlotte locations of Massage Heights. Assume some sort of management issue.

I was so excited to learn Massage Heights Matthews was reopen for business since the pandemic started. I have missed my massages I get once a month. They are taking precautions and made me feel safe as I ease back into my regular lifestyle. Thank you Massage Heights Matthews for giving me something to look forward to. The therapists are amazing and the front desk staff is so friendly and caring.

This morning my husband and I had an appointment and when he gets there he was cancel due to an employee being sick we have been canceled twice due to employees being sick but they failed to call us prior to our appointment and front desk lady calls me to give all kinds of excuses so I told her that as a professional they should be ready for things like this with other staff all she kept saying was well my therapist this and that going on with all kinds of excuses we have a membership with this location ... the first time which was like 4 months back the staff was really nice and we loved our massage the front desk was really professional but after that first time everything went downhill . I’m really upset due to that I travel for a living and always needing a good massage so when I called to make an appointment I requested the therapist we had before and I’m told there no longer here and this happened every time ... when my husband asked for a business card to get with someone else like supervisor she refused to give him the information needed . for that reason I will cancel my membership with them this location needs help desperately or close there business...... if I could give zero review I would of...

ADRIAN was an AMAZING masseuse. She was very attentive and catered to my areas of pain/stress. Website price list is deceptive though, $49 for FIRST/INITIAL 60min massage and $79 returning customers, supposedly cheaper to become a member or buy more at time of booking. Be informed your CC information is saved (last 4), is what i was told, which makes me uncomfortable. Setting is nice, tranquil and pleasing.

First time 3/6/20...last time, this isnt my first massage. Ive been in search of massage for weeks, trying to steer away from commercial franchises. Ive been needing a massage bad. I have a desk job and my shoulders definitely needed work. I completed the assessment wanting deep tissue and specific areas focus. Did not get anything requested. She seemed as if she didnt not want to touch me. Every thing was light touch and never focused on any area. No glute massage calves, shoulders. 1hr and 79 dollars wasted. I still tipped even though I was most definitely not satisfied. Will not return.

Julie - Best Massage I have had in a long long time! I had a Deep Tissue Massage with Hot Stone and it worked out a seriously muscle cramped upper back. Their after massage advice was very helpful too in preventing the cramps from returning. I recommend it so highly I am returning for a couples massage next week. Great atmosphere & service.

Don’t spend your time and money at this location. Especially DO NOT sign any contracts with them. Their good therapists always leave the company because of “wanting to spend time with their family” excuse (for some reason about 3 of the therapists my husband and I liked left the company because of this). They are not serious, always cancelling because of various reasons. Don’t be surprised if they call you an hour before your appointment and give you the “therapist is not feeling well” excuse, promising to call you later with an available appointment which they of course never do. There might be some good therapists working there, but a lot of the ones we met were not competent.My advice: find a better massage practice that cares about their customers not only with words and promises but with actions, responsibility and professionalism.

I dont write reviews, but I felt that I needed to share my experience. This was the worst massage I have ever had. Not only did the therapist get me `15 mins late (and then ended on time). but his hands and room were freezing cold. Ignored my requests for where to and where to not massage me and was kinda creepy. Didnt even feel like I got a massage and was just told at checkout that a manger would call me.....hasnt happened. Please go somewhere else, anywhere else for a relaxing experience. Would give zero stars if I could.

My Man bought me a one hour massage for my birthday. Darryl was worth every penny. I do not go regularly but when I need a massage I always make a appointment with Darryl. I did take the advice of the reviews about the membership.

I am beyond frustrated and disappointed in Massage Heights of Matthews. I have never been dealt with so disrespectfully by any employee let alone by a management staff that I cannot even get them to return my call. Please if you are looking for a membership-based spa service, massage therapy facialist look elsewhere. This company has proven to me over the last month that they are not interested in any aspect of relaxation, health betterment or well-being they are only interested in money.In March of this year I purchased a membership package to Massage Heights in Matthews. From that time until mid-may I was doing a facial once a month & going every other week for a massage. When I tried to schedule a massage in May I was told that the therapist that I was seeing was only coming to that location one day a week. Due to my schedule that month that day of the week that he was available I was not. I figured no big, deal the reason I joined was for the facials. When I went for my facial in May I did not immediately schedule my next facial because my schedule for June had not yet been released. I told them Id call to schedule it. From that point until the beginning of June I received a call from the location at least twice a week trying to up-sell just trying to get me in the door to spend more money over and above what my monthly membership fee was. Each time I told them I would call them when I was ready to schedule.On June 6th I called to schedule my facial & spoke to the retreat manager Nicole. She informed me that they were no longer doing facials every day of the week, they were only doing them on Fridays and Saturdays. Ill admit I was a bit perturbed, I explained to her that schedule did not at all work for me. That the main reason I had joined that location was for the flexibility, I work weekends, I work 12-hour shifts and when Im not working on the weekends Im spending time with my children. I told her that since their services had changed from what I had agreed to (with no notice) I would like to cancel my contract. She refused, she told me since I still had a couple months left on my contract there was nothing she could do and I could visit one of their other location. That other location is at least 30mins. I asked to speak to her manager at that time, and was told that the director was not at the location and that she would pass along the message and have her return my call. I am still waiting for that return call a month later. I have called the Matthews location, the corporate headquarters and the Cotswold location over the last month and still have not received a call back.

Ive had lower back pain for a while now. Im an avid runner and my therapist is always my favorite person to see! I love Massage Heights Matthews location. Professional staff. See you in 2 weeks!

Was told up front that the monthly service could be cancelled at any time. Then, when I called to cancel the manager was very argumentative and refused to cancel stating that I had to fulfill a year contract. Classic bait and switch. To be fair, most of the massages I received there were good, only, they have so much turn over in staff that its hard to stick with a therapist you like.

Massage Heights has provides amazing services! They have massage AND facials (they use dermalogica, loveee!). They offer different massages at no upcharge, like sports/ targeted massages to swedish & deep massage. There Esthetician is so sweet and knowledgeable. I know when I go to any Massage Heights, that I will ALWAYS have a good experience!!

I have been going to this location for about 2 years. Always polite and professional! Britney my present therapist is great!!! Very good at what she does could not be more pleased or relaxed! :)

Ive been visiting this location for a few months. I originally started as this was a birthday gift from my sister. However, I have continued to return as it helps alleviate some of my chronic pain. I have had 9 surgeries and any relief from pain helps me get through each day.

I always have a good experience here. Very nice, clean, relaxing atmosphere. Mike does an excellent job with deep tissue massage! I always leave feeling much better than when I arrive.

Horrible customer service on behalf of the owner! They debited my account twice after service should have been canceled and I called to speak to a supervisor. Melissa called me back and was extremely rude, basically saying I was lying, contradicting herself, and then hanging up in my ear! I knew canceling was going to be an issue when I saw another woman in store complain about an unauthorized charge as well. It’s absurd how the ladies working at the counter supposedly don’t have access to basic information like when contracts are up. Since the owner lacks professionalism, I had to file a complaint through the bank and the BBB which, btw, shows a D rating for this place. Don’t bother with this company!!!

Joseph and Bria are the BEST! They were so accommodating and able to fit me and my sister in last minute on my birthday. It was severely needed. I had a fantastic experience. Thank you guys!

The retreat is clean and orderly, very nicely maintained. Everyone on the staff was amazing and so was my therapist. I will absolutely be a regular here.

The atmosphere is incredible. Theres calming running water coming from water fountains. Friendly staff. The manager is very professional and goes out of her way to make the customers happy.

Had an appointment scheduled, get there and was told the therapist called out because of “inclement weather” ...... it was a little windy. Rescheduled for the following day. I call several times before my appointment to try and confirm the appointment and get their generic voicemail.......turns out they were closed and failed to notify me. Maybe the cancellation policy should go both ways.

I called to ask about Christmas promotions on Friday 12/20/19 @ about 12pm. The person who answered was not helpful. Her tone was one of bother. When I asked questions she talked very fast, sounding annoyed. Today I get a promotion text. No thanks!! I gave my money to another sevice that wanted my business.

Great service! I had a very difficult request for a birthday gift and they took care of it without a hesitation. Chasity was a huge help behind the front desk!

Therapist did a great job. A bit of confusion at check in, but staff was very accommodating. This is a service focused establishment.
