Locust Ocean Drive

We visited the Locust Ocean Drive restaurant on Sunday, May 26th, around 11:30 AM for breakfast. Due to the direct sun and heat, we chose to sit inside and were seated in a corner overlooking the entire restaurant. There weren’t many people dining inside at the time.The first thing I noticed was how dirty the place was from the night before. To sit down, I had to brush strands of what looked like wig hair from the seats, which was quite off-putting.The breakfast menu was simple, and the food arrived quickly. It was hot and beautifully presented, complete with a flower on the plate. However, after serving the food, our waitress completely disappeared. We had to go to the bar for drink refills, and it wasn’t until 30 minutes after our food arrived that the server returned to check on us.A word of caution: the restaurant automatically adds a 20% service charge to your bill. You pay using a small machine at the table, which first shows your total and then asks what tip you want to leave. This additional tip is on top of the 20% service charge already included.Despite the lovely food presentation, the overall experience was marred by the lack of cleanliness and poor service.

The club sandwich was nice and the frozen Margarita was delicious. The best thing is…there’s happy hour and affordable prices for alcohol and cocktails.Just thought it was a bit strange though that the server showed me the bill amount on his device and then took the cash from me and didn’t give me a receipt. So I called him back and asked for it. He then went in and took a while but then finally brought me one.

I loved this place and would def recommend coming here!I recently dined at this restaurant and had an amazing experience. The service was exceptional; our server Kim was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was wonderful, creating a perfect ambiance for a delightful meal. And the food was simply delicious, with each dish beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great dining experience!

Honestly I have been to a few places in Miami Beach and none had the food or hookah the way locust did. Plus we were serviced by ALFREDO & he was amazing!!! Service was amazinggggg!!! He prepared the best hookah in Miami. I have been to bay side and a few spots in Miami and I really enjoyed the hookah he made. All over 5 stars!!! Highly recommend !

The Wagyu burger and steak fries were pretty good. Overpriced but I expected it for the area. The Miami tap water is the best I have ever had. The girl who served us was very attentive. Possibly too much as my friend got annoyed lol. I didnt mind.That said, the music they were playing was very inappropriate for a restaurant. It was rap music with cursing and very sexual. Not really appropriate for a Monday at lunch time. They didnt have many patrons. I assume because of the music.We just happened to be walking by and decided to eat there. Also they charge a 20% service fee which wasnt clearly printed anywhere or mentioned to us. I didnt notice until we left. Probably wouldnt have eaten there if I had known.

Huge Shout out to three employees who greatly enhanced my South Beach experience last weekend. Andrea was an amazing host, and Alfredo and Paulina were equally amazing servers. And the food was amazing too! I had the fish tacos twice and each time the staff was kind, welcoming and made me feel at home. Big thank you to Andrea, Alfredo, and Paulina. I will visit Locust again the next time I’m in South Beach, because of you three!! ❤️❤️❤️Shad

This is probably my new favorite restaurant on ocean drive. I caught a great brunch special of an entree and bottomless mimosas or cocktails for $45 with a 2 hour time limit. My favorite drink was the Miami vice. We got hookah and the flavor was great. The lobster Mac was absolutely delicious. Our waitress Alizah took great care of us and was super friendly. I will stop here every time I am in Miami. The light music really set the vibes and I love the little lights they had throughout the outdoor section.

I’m super excited that I found a restaurant in Miami Beach that was extremely vegan friendly!! I love the indoor/outdoor seating that was offered to us apart arrival. Since it was more sort of a humid, cloudy day, we decided to sit inside and enjoy the AC. I decided to try the “Coconut Curry With Crispy Tofu” the mail itself I would guess probably a 6.5 out of 10 it lacked some flavor and the tofu wasn’t all that crispy. But the reason I’m giving you such a high reading in star value is due to the customer service that was provided and the Amazing Hookah that they had available. I Silver was super sweet and gave some pretty gray recommendations and was prompt with checking in on us, after a meal was set onto the table as well as giving me some options to try as far as hookah flavors . I feel as though if the add a little more Spice to the curry as well as a couple more seasonings, it would bring it to maybe 7 or even a 7.5 . Overall, I truly did enjoy my time as well as listening to the music that was played all throughout our time dining great vibes great energy when I come back I definitely would love to try the vegan Bolognese spaghetti.

The server was absolutely nowhere to be found after we ordered our food... I got a cheeseburger (medium) it was well done... Wife got the BLT, came, had no bacon... Took the bacon off my burger so she could have it on her sandwich. Never was asked again if I needed another drink... And had to wait 32 minutes just to get our check... Then once I got the check... I left a 10% tip due to poor service... After we walked back to hotel... Noticed we were charged a 20% service fee... For what?!? We got absolutely no service... Lol we had planned on eating here a few times during our stay since it was right next to our hotel... Definitely wont be eating here again... $73 for a BLT with no bacon($14), a burnt cheeseburger($21) and 2 Cokes($7 each) couldnt even get a refill... Worst money Ive ever spent on vacation...

We had Alexandra S and she was amazing !! She took care of us and attended to all our needs constantly!!! I love coming to this place! Moses always treats us good too and it’s always good vibes! FOOOOD IS AMAZING! Drinks are Amazing, HOOKAH IS AMAZING!!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE 10/10!!!

While in Miami, my friend and I stopped in here to grab something to eat. The decor is simple and reflects that it is a bar and lounge. I did like the lighting and how the DJ was set up.Its pretty spacious as well. We chose to sit in the back. When we were seated, we noticed that all the tables in the back had ice buckets that were affiliated with party VIP sections, but were very clean. It wasnt packed, but it was a Sunday night. There was music playing from a live DJ, and the sound wasnt overbearing.When we sat we were served immediately our server was smiling. I started with a strawberry Margarita and my friend had a beer. The Margarita unfortunately was sweet and I barely tasted the tequila.Now onto the food, he had a chicken quesadilla and I had the Chefs homemade bolgonanese with Chicken. When it arrived, I was excited, the presentation and portion were great! When indulging, I was disappointed in the flavors. It was a little bland. My friend said his quesadilla was pretty decent.When we were leaving the music started getting better and the front part In front of the DJ had people dancing.You can be casual here and even have a date when you are in the back party area. Our service was good and I didnt have much to touch on in that aspect.I would say that I may attempt to come back to try again for Brunch. I feel like Locust is a newer establishment and has potential! Thank you for having us!

Where do I start, it was an awful experience.1. Poke bowl didn’t include any tuna, should be called a rice bowl. Asked if we could add salmon, “ yes but extra $17”NB adding salmon to a pasta dish was only $13. Didn’t come with fresh avocado, had a small dish on the side of guacamole, which tasted like something pre-made not freshly made in house. Manager didn’t want to know about it, saying it was made in house.2. Caesar wrap, sauce was running out the bottom of the wrap, chips were cold, had to ask for salt.3. We only had 4 lunch items and they didn’t come out all together. 2 at a time.Wife was nearly finished before I got mine.4. Never even got asked if we want to purchase a drink.5. Never topped up the water until asked.6. Sat inside music was very loud, asked to turn it down, which waitress did, but someone else keep turning it up.7. When we brought these things to the attention of the waitress and then the manager they argued and didn’t want to know about it.8. Automatic 20% service charge, be careful as they still expect a tip for poor service on top.Definitely don’t go there, there are heaps of much better places nearby!

Had a wonderful time at the Locust. Food was very nice, had NY Strip steak, Fish tacos and Seafodd pasta. Lore was a very attentive and kind server and helped me make my way through the cocktails menu. Would go back again !!

The food was really good and came out fast…my server Juanita was excellent she was quick and never let my drink go empty, very friendly and great customer service! Definitely coming back!!

Terrible Sunday morning brunch experience for so many reasons. Here’s it:1. The restaurant was empty when we went in at 11:15 for brunch and yet our order took over 30 minutes to arrive.2. Out of our party of 4, they got 2 orders wrong. We specifically mentioned that we were allergic and didn’t want Canadian bacon with our Eggs Benedict & they chose to ignore it and our food came out with these allergens (see picture). So we returned it and of course the food took another 15 minutes to come out.3. Once the food came out the second time around, it was still wrong and my friend ordered her eggs fully done and clearly they don’t know what that means because it was runny (see picture). By that time we were so hungry that we just chose to eat it.4. When we were waiting on our second order, we requested the waitress to check on our food, and instead she turned back with the check before we had even gotten our food!Overall, they charge 20% gratuity with all food and because they know they’re getting that, they don’t bother with the service.

Went to grab some drinks with friends, the place was really nice and chill vibe. Meg was our server for the night she was very attentive and give us great recommendations. Can’t wait to come back to visit.

My recent visit to the locust was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. The food was fabulous, ranging from the appetizer of nachos to the burgers and steaks. However, the only downside I found was the limited dessert options available on the menu.One of the highlights of our dining experience was the exceptional service provided by Paula. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with warmth and friendliness. Not only did she provide us with excellent recommendations on food, but she also shared valuable insights about Miami. What impressed me the most was how she attentively listened to my daughters picky eating preferences and ensured that everything on the table was prepared exactly to her liking.Paulas dedication to ensuring our satisfaction made this one of the best service experiences we have had at a casual restaurant. Our evening was truly enjoyable, and we look forward to returning before heading home and on our next visit to Miami.Overall, locust offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious food and exceptional service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable meal in Miami. We will definitely be back!

Nice location. We got the extra large margarita. My husband got a cheese burger. I decided to get the rice coconut tofu curry. It was very good and flavorful. I would definitely have the food again.We had asked for the check and paid cash. We didnt receive a receipt and asked for it after the waiter came with extra cash in his hand, saying we dropped it. How did we drop it if you gave it to us in our hand? Be careful with CASH in this place; not only is 20% gratitude already on the bill, but they are taking extra on top smh. Pay CARD and ask for receipt.

Really good food and service. I highly Recommend the place, Alfredo serviced my wife and I and prepared a great hookah and gave great advice on food. Great service and vibes.

Food and staff seem good. Drinks are overpriced. $25 for an OK frozen hurricane, the swirl didnt double the value. No wonder the prices werent on the menu for the drink. I enjoyed the Ceviche though.

New Years Eve, Outdoor seating, perfect spot for fireworks, good food and drink options. The DJ and music inside was good but no one on the floor. We all loved the food. Some cocktails felt watered down, but were soon corrected.Our server, Pedro was a real gem and ensured to check in every few mins. He was patient and attentive. We will visit again.

After walking around south beach with a friend this place caught our attention. It was nice and service was a bit mellow as we went on Saturday 4PM. The movió to was refreshing and we split the crab cakes. They are up in prices but a pretty presentation and a good location in front of the beach. When I say that service was mellow I just felt because people just chill out more they weren’t really as fast as what I’m used to on a work day but overall it was great nice service. Oh and the crab cakes were a bit spicy so watch out but very fresh and tasty.

We walked about 10 blocks looking at the different restaurants on Ocean Dr and we came by Locust. It was a pretty unassuming restaurant but something stood out. I’m so glad we stopped! The server we had was great. There were a few things she recommended for me and they were perfect! I’m so happy we stoped by!

This place was awesome. The main reason I came here because they had this burger on the menu I never heard about before. Peanut butter and bacon burger. I honestly did not know what to expect because that sounds like a crazy mix but it was really good. I would for sure come back again one day but not anytime soon because it ain’t cheap. Came here on a Sunday night & their hookah was terrible. The manager that night (Chad?) agreed to give us a refund if we came back the next day. We come in the next day and a different manager completely refused to honour our refund even though we had it in writing. He was just rude & nasty, absolutely unwilling to help. I don’t recommend this place at all.

We left The Cleavelender and came here. A world of a difference service wise. We had the amazing Jessica as our server who was super friendly and attentive and even took a pic with us!☺️ food and drink were great! The manager (Derrick) even came to check on us which was a great touch that we appreciated.

Located right on Ocean Dr. next to Mango closer to 9th St. We were walking towards the beach looking for a place to have coffee so we stopped here. I had their Locust Breakfast which consists of eggs, bacon, sausage, tater tots & toast accompanied by a Macchiato. Food and coffee tasted good and service was decent but I didnt like that you dont get a receipt and when you look at the charges on their hand held device to make payment, all food items are priced $2-$3 higher than what their menu lists, 20% gratuity is automatically included regardless of how many people are in your party and our server told us tips were NOT included so we left an additional amount. Based on my service experience, I wont be returning.

The food was great. I came down from NYC for a meeting and I said let me go to Southbeach I was there 2 month ago and the night tonight time Spanish manager took care of us and we had a really good time. I ask for him he no longer works there. The guy was the life of that place at night. But I still ate nd had a good time having drink it was hot but it was good to walk to the beach after. The manager there day time was yelling at the staff and I ask him it everything was ok he said keep eating lol omg. I stayed anyway till they changed shifts I never saw the night time manager but never the less the day time guy was not nice,,, I would still go there the place is dope.

Locust Ocean Drive has become one of my favorite places to eat in drink in sobe. I always enjoy the calamari and the steak quesodillia is great as well! I had a server named Gisela who gave awesome service! Will be back!

Had an amazing experience at this restaurant. Kim was our server. The service was great, the atmosphere was perfect, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!

While on vacation with my guy friends, we stopped here to get a drink. The drinks were fairly expensive but they were good. We were pretty much in and out. The place was spacious but fairly empty. Most people were sitting outside or walking around. The weather was great.

Juanita was a good server. She was very cool and even sang happy birthday to me. I will go to the restaurant again … Maybe she will be my server again. Nice place

My other half and I came to The Locust Bar & Restaurant today for brunch. The food was incredible. I had the steak, eggs over easy, potatoes, and the bottomless mimosas! Additionally, the service was incredible as well! The Manager Greg was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. Additionally, our waitress (Sara) was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu! The Locust Bar & Restaurant, by far, has had the best food on ocean drive. Please stop in for a great experience!

Really good music. The frozen drinks were amazing. The staff was so cool. Derrick has an amazing personality and definitely makes sure the customer is happy! This Is definitely a place to go for fun, food and delicious drinks.

After walking on the street of ocean drive with my boyfriend this place caught our attention. The nice girl that was upfront Of the menu greet us and she give as good explanation about the menu and the table and she was our server very polite and very helpful that we ever have it in Miami. Her name is Milena. They are pretty presentation and a good location in front of the beach. The food was delicious and we have Churasco and the Salmon. It was very good and nice 👍🏻 we are so happy that we eat here we will come back again.

Down town mami to ocean drive for some beach time, we wanted Cuban but was so hungry we ended up here. Now a bad thing at all, great ambiance from music to the people just partying and dancing having a damn good time. Indoor and outdoor dining available, really nice decor. Waitress took a little more time then expected to help us at first, the fact we see people seated after us get helped really irritates me. The food was good, but not amazing, drinks we’re delicious! Do not drink tap water in florida you will get sick lol, bottle or sparkling and you’ll be good. Tap water anywhere in florida from outside your home with no purification system is a RED FLAG! tacos and wings were our choice of food, loved the wings but the tacos were okay. I’d visit again.

Snapper, drinks and hookah were so good. Our waitress Jessica was amazing as well. The hamburger wasnt seasoned well or served hot. One of the busboy was a little annoying as he kept trying to take my plate while eating and would stand for periods of time in front of the fan right next to our table. There are over 3 fans outside. Bill was approx. $249 (two main dishes, 3 drinks, hookah and 20% grat)

My recent experience was disappointing. The service was slow and inattentive, leaving me waiting far too long for both seating and my order to be taken.they advertised Taco Tuesday but never said 1 taco per customer. They never brought water or our drink order.Additionally, the food quality did not match the prices, lacking in both flavor and presentation. Overall, I left feeling unsatisfied and unlikely to return.

I recently visited this restaurant and I was shocked by the performance of the staff, a special thank you to Kimberly for the way she took care of us, very kind and above all very professional, the kind of welcome that all customers would like to receive. The plate was exquisite, the music coincided with the atmosphere. It was a great experience that deserves to be experienced again

The service was good but I had a steak quesadilla and the steak was not seasoned at all. The most bland quesadilla I have ever had. The guacamole was literally just smashed avocado. Everyone else likes the dishes they had, but it was n the expensive side to begin with and was really expensive for something that just tasted like a flour tortilla with some cheese.

Just another tourist totally overpriced restaurant on ocean Ave. Nothing special. Ive had better meals at a diner. $7 soda?? Why is every restaurant on south beach the same with pushy hosts? No variety.

I’m not one to complain about service, but she literally took my menu away 😭 didnt ask if we wanted to keep it or anything - we don’t know her name so I guess whatever? My partner’s food was great and the fries were very nice- my chicken tacos were soggy and sweet I was so disappointed. I thought this was one of the spots we could enjoy, but it’s just another overhyped spot on Ocean Drive (none of these places are ever good btw, but I had heard good things about this one) Oh well- THE DRINKS were the worst. My man got a Green Tea, which is a very hard drink to get wrong- so I don’t get why a good one is so hard to come by especially in this area 😭 Believe me, you will leave feeling like you spent way too much for the experience. Almost $200, 2 drinks, 1 app, 2 entrees….that’s it 😭

I liked the outdoor seating vibe. Friendly staff and my fish wasnt bad. Beans and rice came out cold. The drinks werent good. For my tab, 1 fish dish for $46, 1 mimosa and 1 beer ended up being $100+ with the added service charge and normal tip. I wouldnt return because of that. Thats just a lot of money for what it was and to come out cold.

Food was were good! Our servant was Jessica, thank you so much, youre the best! She was making sure everything was good and took our order the way we wanted. Our bartender was Lorenzo. Dont ever challenge him by telling him suprise me with a drink! He made me green 💚 drink, couldnt stop reordering that drink. My daughter tried and loved it too. A+ you two, definetly telling everyone that will come to Miami for vacation to stop here and ask for both of you. Hope to see you two here next year on my vacation. I’m a huge fan of the ocean drive restaurants, but the locust its the best by far! The food its really good and you have a lot of options to choose, also they have a brunch menu which is very convenient!. The people are very kind. I really enjoy my lunch at the locust. My wife and i had a lot of fun here. Much recommended !

One of the best restaurants in south beach I visited during a short vacation, it seems that it’s hard to get good service on the beach but my server Kim was excellent, she is very attentive and the food came out fast and it was delicious, I got the Florida red snapper and it was huge and good. 10/10, I 100% recommend.

Asked for a virgin drinks(it was only alcoholic drinks in menu), the server told a different prices a few times, finally charged us more than he told us first and 2nd time. Always check your receipt before you pay! Not a good way to earn the money

Make sure your waiter understand your primary language. Great spot to people watch and be looked at by the continuous crowd. Food is pretty good value for Ocean which apps and entrees start at $20

BE CAREFUL scammers from appetizer till the end !!!! They pretend serving home made french fries… they are only bad frozen fries. The worst is when you pay : they pre charge you 20% service do not show you any check nd ask to swipe or tap with your card with no amount shown. As the foid and the service were really bad you choose minimum service 15% but as she already charged 20% you are now at 35% service ! Total 85 dollars for two small and bad burgers and 2 glasses of cheap white wine ! Do not think that’s why you are on Ocen Drive.. we had very good diner and wine for less than this price 2 blocks away a few days ago.. and witha kind service. Make sure to stay away from the Locust trap !!!!!!!!

I visited this location a week ago and the service was awesome. I had the fried snapper it was seasoned to perfection. And the manager Chad was excellent. Definitely returning in the near future.

Absolutely LOVE this place! The brunch and bottomless mimosas were amazing. The service was efficient and very fast, and Germaine was an excellent server. Greg, the manager, was an absolute rockstar and made the experience so fun. If you’re looking for a fun restaurant on Ocean, this is the place to go!

We ate here for lunch. You should know this is a “club atmosphere” but it’s FUN! The lighting is what you would expect in a club. We nearly forgot it was daylight outside. Wait staff was a little slow but it’s just because they were short. Staff was still polite. I had the peanut butter burger which I’m not sure I’d recommend. The flavors did go together but after the first bite I couldn’t eat anymore. Not to mention…I ordered medium and it came out rare 😩. In my initial bite from the outside rim of the burger was that there was just too much peanut butter on it. Couldn’t enjoy the burger because I was too busy trying to get the peanut butter off my teeth and palate. After i shined the light from the camera when taking a picture, I realized it was rare…so I’m thinking the stickiness was a combination between the peanut butter and the uncooked meat. (That’s how dark the lighting is in the restaurant).We also had the ceviche for an appetizer which was really fresh and good. The other ladies had chicken and waffles, Buffalo chicken burger, French toast, and the croissant breakfast? They all said their dishes were good. This place is a bit pricey.I still gave this restaurant 4 stars because I believe the uncooked beef was an honest mistake. Initially the manager discounted my $22 burger by $6…. I felt that to be unreasonable and although I thought he should have removed it from my bill altogether..especially since I’d only taken ONE bite….I asked for a 50% discount which he honored. I didn’t make a fuss about total discount because I figured the restaurant may have had some financial issues if he didn’t want to discount it off my bill without me asking. It’s a tough time for everyone during this pandemic so I felt it was fair. I’d come back here again.

A beautiful place to rest and unwind with a great menu selection. Also Lorena, our server was wonderful. She transformed our lunch into an extraordinary oasis with her attentiveness and knowledge. She made us feel right at home amidst the vibrant Latin-x music, fantastic food, and added a special touch of warmth to our family gathering. Highly recommended.

I went there lastnight and the food quality was poor, the shots tasted like water and margarita tasted like water. I ordered six tacos and to be honest the tacos at Taco Bell is way better. when I got my bill it was over $300 with a mandatory 20% service charge. then they were also looking for a tip on top of that. I do not recommend this place never come in here again.

This was my first visit to the restaurant, and the food was fantastic. I ordered a seafood platter with lobster, shrimp, broccoli, and mashed potatoes. As an appetizer, I also ordered mussels and chicken wings. Everything was perfectly seasoned. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the managers, Chad, who was very attentive and helpful. I will definitely return. The atmosphere is amazing. This is a 5star dinning experience.

One of my favorite places my wife and I went to this vacation. We both sat outside, and the music was nice but not too loud, the frozen margarita was amazing and after our food came out, the manager did check in on us which we appreciated that they wanted to hear about our feedback of the experience! We will be coming back here during our next visit to Miami!

The food and service was awful. I asked for a medium-well burger and it was blackened/burnt to a crisp same with my two friends who ordered well done. I would have sent it back, but our waitress was seated at another table having hookah with two male patrons. The drinks were good, but otherwise overpriced and poor experience.

I went to locust earlier this afternoon with a friend, we had the happy hour, the frozen drinks were amazing and the food was delicious, I got fettuccine Alfredo and my friend got chicken quesadilla, delicious! My boyfriend and I came here recently at night and it was an unexpected disappointment. He ordered the Grilled Mahi Mahi which is supposed to come with mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables. The waiter brings out grilled Mahi Mahi on top of FRENCH FRIES, which he didn’t ask for. My food came out 5 minutes later at least it was correct. Also the waiter sat across from us at the table on his phone.

My first time in miami and i loved the experience. it was hard to get good service from the previous resstaurant i visited but the locust definitely was my best dinner experience. my server Kimberly was great, attentive and fast. food was excellent. i enjoy the happy hour. it was cheaper compare to other places i tried. 10/10

Lots of options, creative burgers, and Vegan friendly so everyone in our group was happy. Next time will try out brunch and the bottomless mimosas.

This is the BEST restaurant in Ocean Drive . I highly recommend you eat and have their drinks . Amazing experience ! The food is delicious and not to mention the drinks are so tasty . I came here on Taco Tuesday, late one night and got the taco dinner and a salad. Our waitress was not very friendly, she barely spoke to us when we sat down and had an off putting attitude.The atmosphere was good and the DJ played good loud music you could hear outside.When the tacos came out they looked delicious, but were bland and didnt come with the spicy mayo as it stated on the menu. The chicken was dry and so were the shrimp. The sides were incredibly small, the black beans and plantain chips came in little 3 oz sauce cups, enough for three bites at best. The salad was mediocre, it did not come with croutons and had too many onions. Needless to say, we will not be back.

So a couple of months ago I had a whole debacle with one of the servers at this bar and it was nothing too serious (at least to me) and certainly nothing to ruin the night but something to considered moving forward to last week where I considered the night of my past experience at this bar, the cover being $20, it being late, and decided not to even allow security to check me (I dont need a random man touching me for any moment I dont consider will be worth my time). Today, I just so happen to have a group of ladies with me (more like I was lured but lets just say it was consensual) and somehow still needed to pay a cover after like 1:30 at least (could have easily been after 2). The reason for this review is that after all this has been experienced I paid the cover after contemplating for a few moments of really how the night was going to go per what I knew would happen at this place and come to find out I only spent 30 minutes (if that) there but in the time that I was there I managed to request for a bottle of beer from a server who then tried to inform me that the beer was not cold enough to serve and Im just like yeah that is it. Im sure Ill be back there again but I promise you if I have to pay a nickel, it wouldnt be worth it. Its literally the equivalent of buying a hot girl a drink even though you know she doesnt want to talk to you. Ill try my best not to feel some type of way about having to charge me to walk in because obviously it is not my main issue, but if youre trying to enjoy your night I dont know if this is the place to be if you are a cordial logical thinker because personally I have had very inconsistent service and having to cover that before walking into the place and ultimately experiencing whether its going to be a little bit different this time around or next time is a steep price to pay for inconsistency and or just pure legitimate lack business accumen. I havent completely grasped the idea of establishing rather odd relationships with customers but if they need a moody customer when I arrive just the set the essence of the establishment then my RBF is best and honestly well suited for people like them. But that beer I couldnt buy was on the house because it shows you exactly why its unnecessary to have a cover had you guys actually had exceptional service to compensate (or any service at that) before steppping foot into your establishment which is my point of this review. I get nicer as I drink, so by the time I make it to like this club, usually there are no excuses for why I feel offended, at times. Hopefully, this helps you understand the concept of why I would never consider having to pay $20 as legitimate, but nonetheless, if I must appease other peoples universes, sure, just dont be any more moody than me because youd obviously take my money whether I could afford it or not, anyway. If there are a few more experiences like this, and Ill actually get to call out why it feels like they feel some type of way having me actually on their premises. Imagine how many years Ive been putting up with that type of treatment to know exactly how to address it. Best, I bill out at $250+ an hour if you need any help ($100/h if I actually like you). Lmao... I could not phantom having problems with some people, but here we are. For the record, just because I show up there doesnt mean I like you. Its usually not management or staff that ultimately drive my decision to experience the night at this establishment but oddly enough it is management and staff that are now causing me to contemplate and consider my experience while being there and ultimately what I am voicing within this review. Odd, but if you must give me any attention, please feel free to ask me to send an invoice next time instead of holding me up when you dont want me there. Hopefully, those words stick with you because if I was making any money off of you guys, I wouldnt be around (which is logical trash talking but very important to what I am experiencing)... because who has the time...? Enjoy.

This bar is located on Ocean Blvd. When visiting Forida you expect to pay more on the strip... However you also expect to get good fresh food. Everything was frozen. The crab cakes, wings, shrimp, etc. Im a chef so I know the difference between fresh and frozen foods. The whole table ordered margaritas and it wasnt worth it either. I will say the music was good, kudos to the DJ. Service was good as well. The food and drinks need a serious upgrade.Dont waste your time here.... Locust is 🗑. We had lunch @ Big Pink and everything was amazing. So if you want quality definitely check them out.

Came here on a Friday night. Music was good. The atmosphere and vibe was good. But I just dont understand how they can charge over $25 for a vodka and mixer. The cocktails on their menu was cheaper. Be aware of them making you drinks and charging you 17 times what it should be!

The food was good ( the calamari was great) but omg our service was the worst. Our waitress was rude and cocky, 1st she spilled a glass of water all over the table and my daughter. Then we ordered drinks and an appetizer. She asked if we wanted 2 plates we replied yes please. No side plates ever came but we were only 2 and family so we shared off the serving plate. Waitress asked what we wanted to eat, I’m still deciding but my daughter says she’ll have the burger, I’m still looking she glares at me hand on hip. “I’ll need another minute to decide” she leaves and apparently puts in my daughter’s order. I decided on a burger too, finally after 10 minutes she comes back and I ordered. Appetizer arrives, then a few minutes later my daughter gets her food but not me. My daughter is almost finished by the time mine arrives. When I expressed my displeasure she said well you’re the one that waited so long to order. Then I asked for the check- no paper check just a handheld device and she says here is your total. I said let me see that $90 for 2 burgers 1 appetizer 1 glass of wine 2 waters. Again she stands over me with hand on hip, they added a 20-% gratuity (service charge) can’t change it “that’s what we charge “ I feel like I was over charged by $20 after I did the math. The food was good but the dining experience was terrible. Something shady going on with the bill too, I noticed others have said the same thing in their reviews.

First and foremost the bar is Rip Off!!!!! I payed $33 for medium slushy in a plastic cup, which is unheard of anywhere in America. I wanted to cancel my order and the bartender refused to do so, this is probably the most overpiced drink in Miami. Never again! If youre into hip hop, rap or trap music this is the place for you, thats all they play.

Your door service is less than poor, no customer service. We passed by the door, we liked the happy hour, they sat us, no one attended us for ten minutes when the happy hour ended in 15 minutes. We waited and it wasn’t until my wife asked if anyone was going to serve us that they sent someone. They had called us in saying that it was happy hour, we didn’t get happy hour menus and we got told that happy hour ended in five minutes.We decided to go to a restaurant a block down instead and were received with much better service.

I had a really bad experience tonight at the locust restaurant. It is my last night here and I wanted to have a great night out with my husband. That did not happen here. The waitress that served us Paula, only greeted us, took our order, and never returned again. A good runner brought us our entrees and told us that the app was on its way. We told her to forget the app because we already had the food now. My burger was supposed to have a sauce and it did not bring it so it was completely dry. I could not tell the waitress because she was never around and no one was around for me to say anything. We were also in need of at least some water but again, no one was around. It wasn’t even busy, 4 tables max were filled. The only good thing was that the food actually tasted good but the service needs to be better since the bill automatically adds 20% service fee.Complete trash service I have to say.Never coming back to this place upon returned to Miami.

Went to the Locust after work and had the Froze and the Impossible Burger. They were both delicious. I got a nice buzz off the one drink and the music was really fun. The server, German, was excellent. He was attentive but not too attentive and made the recommendations for what I had, not to mention he was really cute. I’ll definitely go back.

I’ve been here since Saturday & today is now Tuesday 3/2. I can honestly say that the food was every bit of amazing I’ve only had the brunch here but it was delicious. Highly recommend the chicken and waffles or the steak and eggs. Whatever your staff is doing don’t change anything. Our waitress Sara was very attentive during the entire meal. All the meat was dry and bland and the drinks were weak. I came here with 4 other girls who all said the same thing about their food and drinks. I couldn’t taste any alcohol and felt nothing after I quickly finished, and I’m a lightweight! This place is too expensive for such mediocre food, although the actual service was nice. But they need a new chef and the bartenders should be allowed to add a reasonable amount of liquor at the very least

The food, drinks and hookah are amazing. Like perfection. The bouncers and staff are really friendly and so is the owner. I had a really great time here during springbreak. The only two things i have to point out are: the toilets need to be cleaned and the staff are sometimes a bit unattentive. We had received our food before the cutlery.

The tacos were decent but do NOT buy soda. It’s 7 dollars which is kind of ridiculous. I should have asked the price beforehand, but I’ve never seen that in my entire life.To people complaining about the 20% charge, it’s just a mandatory gratuity charge. This is America and that’s the expectation, especially with rent the way it is at $2,000+. Most places in Miami Beach do that.

The greeter in the front was great.I ordered the tacos and they were okay, though I did not receive a plate to eat them on.After I finished I asked for my bill. The server, Priscilla, brought out a mobile pay CC machine. I asked for my itemized bill and she said she would print with the receipt. On the screen I selected the 20% tip icon. She came back with my itemized bill, which for some reason she wouldnt present until I paid, and I noticed there were two 20% charges. I asked her what the first 20% service charge was for and she said that was my tip. I said no, it also shows my 20% tip and she said no, that is your extra tip. They very well may notate the charge somewhere in the fine print on the menu, but I was presented with the option of approving a charge on the screen and only approved one charge before I was allowed to see the itemized bill. I was intentionally charged an extra 40%, half of which I did not authorize. That is so unethical I just dont know what to say. Any restaurant that will let their servers intentionally rip off their customers is a restaurant you should stay far, far away from.

The DJ is top notch!!! It was my friend’s birthday and we asked him to play two different songs and he put them in rotation immediately! I’ve never had it happen before and I was thoroughly impressed! He even ask what the birthday persons name was so he could announce it with the song! Awesome experience all around!

My experience was let’s say sub par. The food was good but it was cold by the time it got to my table because of the amount of time we waited. And not to mention I had to change my order a couple times due to them not having certain things. The food runner was super nice, she apologized for the wait and was very attentive. Our drinks were watered down because of the wait. It was obvious that the owner was there. Seems as if he really doesnt know he’s doing. I miss when it was Fat Tuesdays. At least my drinks weren’t watered down. Really wouldn’t recommend to come here.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming. You can tell when owners know proper etiquette on how a restaurant should operate. You see it in the quality of the food, the friendliness and continuous care the managers give, and especially in the elegance of the devour. Highly recommend their drinks and happy hour specials!
