Beautiful place, good music and nice cocktails.Staff at entrance were super nice and welcoming, but unfortunately the server was rude with one of our guests.It was a fun night, although the small inconvenience.

I was here from 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm on a Saturday night. When I arrived, there was a small sprinkling of patrons some seated and a few at the bar. The lounge is dark and (medium) cool. A trio of jazz instrumentalists were taking a break.Ordered one of their cocktails. The bartender prepared it with great care. It was so beautiful to look at. Taste wise it was ok because with all the ingredients, I would’ve thought it would taste complex — nope.Soon enough the trio started playing. They were pretty darn good and enjoying themselves. The bar started filling up with some really good looking people: great eye candy!Had another cocktail which — again — the bartender prepared with great care. It also looked gorgeous, but I was underwhelmed with the taste.I left when the trio took another break. The place was beginning to hop, but I was getting hungry. Although they do have some small bites, I was ready for some real food.I’ll definitely return. For the price of two cocktails, this place was great: great jazz and great atmosphere. They have a large and comprehensive list of spirits, wines, and champagnes. I might stick to those or to beer the next time around.

Brilliant roaring 20s vibe downstairs club with extensive and original cocktail menu (some stretched a bit) but overall excellent. Service (Chantelle and team) were great and in a packed house never felt ignored. Jazz was fantastic and rolled from chill to a full dance floor as the night progressed, then transitioned to dark clubby dj scene which was full but never overcrowded (nice work door staff/manager) a total gem will be back!

The food menu is very limited but the drinks and cocktails choices are amazing. There is live band until 9:30 - 10 PM. The place gets busy right around that time.Service is great. They answered all our questions with a smile. Obviously a little over priced but for a good reason. They put a lot of effort into the drinks and the bank is quite good.The bar is in the basement, and it smells like it..

Come for the cocktails and jazz, stay for Sara. The cocktails were inventive and nuanced, especially the Cold AF martini. The jazz was fun and vibrant. But the real showstopper was our server Sara, who was warm, efficient, attentive, and fun. She never stopped moving around the bar and clearly enjoyed her work.

Medium cool is an easy choice. We were recommended to this lounge on a Thursday and would come back again. No cover at the door. However the cocktails are a bit expensive and some are premixed but the music is on point and the getting a drink was not a super long wait. Service staff could improve their customer service as they told us to “move” when a reservation came in. Other than that I would highly recommend this place. Great music and upscale disco space to dance.

Went here two nights in a row, great speakeasy jazz different bands and instruments each night. 20s vibe. Jazz is usually 7-10PM so dont go too late if you want the live music before the dj.

What a cool find. If you’re looking for an upscale but not pretentious cocktail bar in south beach this is the place. The live jazz music was incredible and the cocktails were pretty good and certainly creative. Must visit

This place is great. Went to Miami Beach for 3 days, ended up at MC 3 nights. Different band each night. Bar staff recognized us on second visit. Their cocktails are gorgeous and delicious.

First time visiting on a Wednesday. Love the vibe here. Very lowkey. Came for the live jazz and happy hour. Not too crowded. Theres bar food, but if youre looking to have dinner, I would suggest going to the restaurant upstairs or elsewhere. I had the calamari with a sparkling rose and the Southside. Amzing drinks and calamari! I think theres a dress code, so make sure to dress for a cocktail lounge occasion.

Finally found a good cocktail in South Beach 🙌🏼 And more reasonably priced than all the others I’ve had! Didn’t care for the DJ around midnight but earlier in the evening it’s jazz, I think that’s the sweet spot! Great service here, from the door staff to the bartenders.

We were there on a Saturday starting 6:30 pm. Our server Sara was outgoing, attentive and knowledgeable. We tried the Mezcalito, Tropical Sour and Piña Colada Daiquiri---all fantastic flavours and excellent presentations. The jazz record and later jazz band that adorned the low-light, classy and timeless decor in that cool basement. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Such a cool spot, with some live jazz on certain nights, and DJ later on. I would’ve never found this spot if I hadn’t walked passed it. Very happy about our experience, we went twice during our stay in Miami. I recommend their twist on a vodka soda, with some coconut flavour and coconut soda, and their espresso martini was unique and tasty!

The music here was so good! We came for a bachelorette party and the vibes were so fun. Great spot to dance, great vibes and drinks. Highly recommend!

We had a great time lovely place and atmosphere, very friendly and honest staff, we left handbag and thanks to Paige she very been extremely helpful . She made sure to come and open the bar 11;00 am and made sure we found the bag before leaving Miami.🙏🙏🙏

We were recommended this bar and it was a great choice. The atmosphere is great with fun music and a more chill vibe. It was busy without being overcrowded which is something I appreciate so you actually have room to dance. The only thing we didn’t love is that cocktails were premixed, that factor makes them a little expensive at $25 a piece. Other than that I had a great time!

Bathrooms were filthy and drinks extremely overpriced. Security at front also was prejudice toward gay people. Do not recommend at all.

Brought my parents here for an early evening of listening to jazz and getting drinks. the vibe was amazing and cocktails were killer. the bartenders absolutely knew their drinks and even recommended something off menu for my mom. an absolute breath of fresh air of a lounge on miami beach. can’t wait to bring friends for a late night dance party!

Happy hour $10 during Friday night jazz night. What’s not to like? I think service was overwhelmed and it wasn’t even going off while we were there. Will be back for other music nights.

Weird experience from the start…walked in and was greeted by no one. That wouldn’t be weird on its own, but we waited 15 min to have a server show up before I decided to head up to the bar. Happy hour ended while I was up there and my wife was visited by a server, not to take our order, but to remove the happy hour insert. All in all, I felt unwelcome. The Drinks were a 7/10, but would rather have spent my money elsewhere. Will not return.

Great spot to grab a couple drinks. There was live music when we visited on a Friday night (got there around 9pm). Cocktails were well made and delicious and the lounge had a great vibe. By 10:30 pm it was packed and had a line outside.

Medium cool is anything but cool. I’ve been 3 times now and each visit has been a strike. Each time felt like teen night. Music is never quality. The bar service gets two thumbs down. The venue is in a basement where there is barely a/c and air flow to pump out whatever smells are coming from their grotesque bathroom. Definitely worth skipping.

Was recommended this place by a bartender at our hotel. We arrived early (~930pm) and were told right away that we could sit until reservations had arrived. I was a bit skeptical at hearing that but to my surprise the service was spectacular. We weren’t treated as though we were in the way and were not rushed out of our seats by the staff.Our waitress was on top of everything and attentive. She even asked me again for the details of my cocktail order to make sure it was correct.After sitting for a while, another person on staff came by to check on us and we ordered another drink from them. Kudos to the staff because I believe she was a manager and not waiting on tables when she asked how we were doing.I’ve been to many places where they prioritize reservations with tables and bottles because they are more lucrative for the restaurant or bar. Glad to see that we could walk in and have a great experience, even though we were only there for a drink or two.

The vibe and the music were just on point. Variety of great music. the drinks were just about the best I’ve had in Miami. These bartenders were SPECIAL, everything was on point.

Sadly our first time coming wasnt the greatest and we have no intentions of coming back.First off I believe they said they were open for about 2 months so fairly new, again things can change if feedback is taken seriously.We are Miami locals and wanted to check this new place out and nonetheless during our famous music week - we arrived checked in and security very kindly said that shorts are not allowed (mind you there was people smoking right in the front of the place wearing shorts) we pointed that out and he said Im just security but you could talk to our door lady so we waited and she said she wasnt going to let our friend come in we were confused and pointed out the group of men who were also wearing shorts and she said theyre our friends so they can wear whatever theyd like at the end of the day if youre going uphold standards uphold them for everyone it isnt fair when youre breaking the rules and everyone can see. Its not a good way to run a business.We ended up giving in and our friend just went to another bar nearby. Once in there was a lot of people wearing shorts but we tried not to let it ruin to much of our night. But it was way too crowded and the DJ who was playing wouldnt have stood up for that behavior and dress code. They clearly dont know their clientele.When leaving the lady with the short hair remembered us and said all snarky we hope to see you again in proper attire! I let her know she would not see us again and Ill be writing a review and she said reviews dont mean anything. So if youre about good vibes do not go here.Also note that nowhere on the flier, their website, or social does it say anything about a dress code.

Medium cool is a great place to meet with friends for get togethers and spend hours of an evening. Its situated very conveniently on Collins Ave, near to Hotels and the Beach. Music, food is excellent. Different varieties served hot, cold and promptly. Staff and proprietors, also very personable, friendly. July 1st!!!! My sister’s 40th birthday bash was so dope! I don’t know who the DJ was this night but he was freaking lit! He killed the whole night, period! Shout out to whoever the DJ was that Saturday night! And thanks to the bartenders who made great drinks all night. If you love an “old fashioned” find the female bartender in glasses…she makes THE BEST ONES!!!

Hands down the best bar in Miami, drinks were great and the atmosphere was unique and an easy place to unwind. Paige recommended some great drinks and she made it an unforgettable experience. Everyone visiting Miami should spend some time at Medium Cool.

CHARGED MY CARD 2000$ when I only ordered 75$ worth of drinks. Her name is JORDANNE. BEWARE!!!! The charge came up as DOLCE ITALIAN which is the restaurant on the corner. Also she told us we had to move out of the reservation area when there was no reservation coming. Thank god my bank is on point with fraudulent charges.

As a Miami local, it is find to hard a spot that has great music, premium cocktails AND a super friendly, welcoming staff. Medium Cool is a sure bet - whether thats for happy hour live jazz or a late-night spot to party with incredible DJs. The space is unique, intimate, and high end. The beach needed this!

Mediocre spot, door lady is rude commented on my friends attire as inappropriate yet inside the club people were wearing tacky track suits and even pajamas (guess the pajamas didn’t matter cause it was an NBA person lol) so if you have a status symbol then sure, it’s great, if you’re a regular person just trying to enjoy Miami nightlife… there are far better venues to go to. I can’t understand why anyone says the ‘vibes’ are nice? It’s really small, no room to dance, and just super boring.

Really great place, electric ⚡ atmosphere and groovy and chill at the same time. Cosmic cocktails and a great start to the weekend! Had a really fun evening with a couple of friends, and will definitely be back with the party crew soon!

This is a really cool speakeasy and positive vibes the host was very nice and the staff was excellent, the music they were playing was a cool 80s vibe which was unexpected but not disappointing. I hope to come here again next time I am in Miami

Great little hidden place at the Gale South Beach hotel. Staff was excellent and friendly and the cocktails were some of the best Ive had.

Atmosphere us decent but smells recently flooded and still damp. Drink was fine, but 20 minutes after they arrived we were informed someone had just paid to have the table we were seated at. They then said that the establishment was first come first serve, or paid reservations. And since someone paid for our table and they had no where else for us to go, we needed to leave. Been many places but never had a table I was seated at reserves while I was there, resulting in me needing to leave. Truly appalled at being asked to leave after 20 minutes right after a single drink arrives.

This incredible space has a stunning bar with fascinating decor. The medium Cool is open every day for happy hours from 6pm-10pm with a list of delicious $9 cocktails. The snacks, however, are not delicious and in my case they arrived cold. Dont try the Sicilian aranchinis, they dont taste good. But the place is still worth it and especially because it has a program of live musicians on Thursdays with bossa nova and on Fridays with American jazz. You will surely have a different time in this cool space close to the central Collins Street.
