Just had my birthday Party at CrocodilesThe theme was 1920s Gatsby, we had a blast and the DJ was from San Jose, he was awesome.. Crocodiles is the place to be on Saturday nights .

Not the same place anymore. New owners change the style and the vibe. They dont play the same music anymore. Guy used to have no cover charge from opening to I think about 9:00 for his regulars to come in. Now the cover charge is 12 and thats too much for this kind of place. I know they want to have a diverse style music but the people that go there dont want to hear Spanish music. They never play that kind of stuff before and now they are, so youre going to lose a lot of customers cuz if I want to hear that stuff I would go to palladium. About 45% of the music is Spanish music. I like 80 ,70s and 60s music. When you play Spanish music thats only going to satisfy one customer type. A lot of us down there dont listen to Spanish music at home, if you want to turn it into a Spanish nightclub then just do it. When that irritating Spanish song I think they call it the beeper was put on by the DJ I had enough, it was time to go. This used to be my favorite place to go kick it at because it had good music but I cant say that anymore.

Had a great experience. I remember the first time I went thereover 20 yrs ago, I met a girl there went out a few times then just stopped going out. Returned with my sister to a retirement party last night, GREAT MUSIC, if my memory serves me right I think the dance floor has changed positions. But it still has friendly employees, waitresses were on it with their orders. All the video monitors, the lighting. Its was a GREAT experience. Will definitely return

What a blast! I havent danced like that in a long time. But that bar tender Sarah though is the real MVP she knew how I liked my drinks and she kept em coming! I will be back for sure because of the service and the atmosphere!

Haven’t been here in years but so glad we decided to come tonight. Sat at a table and our server, Sarah, was so quick and attentive. Good drinks and great atmosphere! Definitely check this place out if you’re in Modesto.

We went Saturday drove from Sacramento so not close June 15th n usually they play oldies, rock n disco n the dj 99% played nothing but Latin which is a Thursday nite venue. We were Very disappointed n left early due to music

Last night I came in with my man and we were serviced by Miranda. She did a wonderful job… she was very attentive, kept us up with the specials and was very friendly. It was our first time there and she exceeded our expectations! Thank you so much Miranda!

Wow. What happened to the great music that used to be here more than 10 years ago? This current DJ lost the ambience that was once Crocodiles. He plays many unknown cuts and loses the mood. I’m amazed and saddened the great times of the past are gone with this current DJ. Greatly disappointed

$20pp cover charge + 10 pp for a table with no special event, bad music, watered down over priced drinks, I really have nothing good to say about this place. Be prepared to drop some big bucks. So disappointing. Received your reply...you have no idea when we attended so how could you respond with details?

The music and service is always ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ food is pretty basic but we dont go for the food.The cocktail Server Sarah was so nice and friendly. She even recommended I try a new drink. Love her!

Now this place is a gem! The music is old school and they mix in a few Latin beats which is great. The finger food is also good and the drinks are reasonably priced. This place is a must try!

I love this place it’s just a place where you can go and have fun and don’t have to be worried about people looking for trouble or anything it’s just like a family thing everybody goes to dance and have a good time and the staff I’ll give them a 5 star rating waitresses really fast and friendly and security guards very professional and the music just perfect keep it up guys

Not what is use to be. Place has become very stale but you would have to judge for yourself. If you never been there its ok waitresses are great. Few bad apples every once in awhile at the door very petty individuals but give it a try just not what it used to be.

80s night was a blast from the past! Guests were dressed in costume. What a fun way to express yourself!

This is a very exciting place to have a good time. They play a variety of music for the different generations. The staff was very friendly. Jackie was the hostess and immediately upon entering, she greeted me with a smile and proceeded to seat me. I had fun,and I cant wait to go again.

I have enjoyed attending Crocodiles Night Club every Saturday night for the past several months. The service I receive from all staff members with whom I have been engaged has been consistently well beyond my expectations. They are courteous, respectful and always attentive to my needs as well to those of all patrons who attend and participate in the fine activities. I can recommend the very attentive service of Jacqueline, and the many floor servers including Aimee and Candice.That said, I feel I must move my Five-Star rating to a Three-Star (I would go to a one-star if I were rating the DJ alone) because the music that the DJ (RR) is playing more recently is mostly hip-hop. The website for Crocodiles says about the music:Our disc jockeys play the biggest variety of the best dance music from the past 60 years. Everything from oldies, rock, disco, dance & even some country music. Because Crocodiles offers such a big variety of great dance music, we attract an older crowd that ranges from 25 to 70.Well, hip-hop aint on that list. I believe there should be a good mix and lately, RR has been going almost all-in on Hip Hop. People typically come to dance to music that hearkens to the great dancing music of the past: just clean, robust, deeply motivating music that pulls you from spectator areas to the dance floors.Dancing to Hip-Hop is much difference than dancing to the dance music Crocodiles claims to build its reputation on.To that point, once in a while a new DJ takes over RRs place, and the difference in the music AND the audience reaction is noticeable.I hope that the new owners will have a conversation with RR and get the music back to what made Crocodiles great.Thank you Crocodiles for excellent leadership...

I went to this nightclub last night and it was a blast!!!! Candice was our server and she was amazing!!!! She made sure to keep our glasses full and the pool table area clean of empty cups!!! She was so friendly and had such a bright smile all night!!! Recommend this place for a fun night out!!!!

I celebrated my birthday here, DJ Rene Ruiz played some great music. Everyone was out dancing on the floor. No drama, very friendly environment. Jackie was very supportive with the reservation. Great club with DJ playing some good music to dance the night away.

I always enjoy going to Crocodile for many years. A safe place for people of all ages. Wide variety of music to dance to. Appreciate the great host Jacqueline who always meet my need whenever I need to reserve a table. If you want to reserve a table, need to contact her in advance in order to get a table at no cost.

Let me start this off as saying I have never, in all my life, experienced something as racist as what happened with my husband and I here this past Saturday night.My husband is a veteran. He served in the military for 23 years and is part of an organization with other combat veterans: People of all ages and races. People from the veteran association he is a part of were at Crocodiles this past Saturday night. They messaged my husband and asked if we would like to go over there with them to which we agreed.We had come from a high school event and my husband was wearing a hat and a Dixxon shirt. I had on a hooded sweater and pants. When we got to the door the bouncer said, “Just so you know it’s no plaid and no hats.” I said, “That’s ok. Just wear my sweater.” Then the bouncer said, “Well, you can’t wear a sweater either.” I said, “You didn’t say that.” He said, “I’m just letting you know. My manager told me as you were walking up.” Then, another couple walks up behind me and the man is wearing a plaid shirt. I said, “Sorry, you can’t go in. No plaid.” The bouncer doesn’t say anything and lets the guy in. The man was white and my husband is clearly Mexican. I asked the bouncer, “What the hell was that?! He had on plaid!” The bouncer mumbled, “These guys are getting on my nerves.”I told my husband to call his friend in the club & let him know we can’t get in because he’s wearing plaid. My husband’s friend walks out, an older white gentleman, wearing plaid. I was shocked. By that time there was another few workers at the door. I asked another worker, “You’re gonna tell me that’s not plaid?!” His response was, “That’s checkered.” I lost it and told them they were being racist to which the first bouncer said, “Ooooh, they’re pulling the race card!” My husband was yelling, “I served 23 years in the military for this?!” And the first bouncer said, “It doesn’t matter how long you served.”It’s unfortunate that I have to leave this type of review. I have NEVER felt like I was being discriminated against and this is a first for me. I feel like the manager saw my husband from afar and could clearly tell he was Mexican and just judged him from there. It wouldn’t have gotten to this point if they didn’t let the very next guy in who happened to be wearing plaid.I can’t comment on the other devices due to being rejected but this place is absolutely, 100% racist.

Always a great time every time. Whether celebrating something special or just need a night out, Jacqueline always goes above and beyond to find you a table and make sure you have a great time. You will never be disappointed by the dj, Rene Ruiz playing the hits from every genre and always keeping the dance floor jumpin.

Miranda was such a pleasant young lady she’s was so good excellent experience and service.

I havent been here since they changed owners and I have to say Im a bit disappointed. Crocodiles atmosphere was always welcoming until last night. Me and my fiance took my mom and her friend here last night. They did not let my fiance in which was a nice dressy plaid long sleeve on due to their dress code. Okay. I respected that went to Wal-Mart got him another top. We got no problem getting in this time. Once I got in I saw so many other men not followng the dress code. I was super upset because I personally choose our outfits for the evening. We felt discriminated because most who didnt follow dress code where not Hispanic but Caucasians. I feel like they pick and choose who can follow the dress code and who shouldnt. There is a bit of racism and discrimination going on in this club. Although than that drinks were alright and the music remained the same. Although Crocodiles aint the same anymore. Very disappointing.

Went there last night and had a great time for my wife and her best friends’ 21st birthdays, was their first time out and it was fantastic. Shoutout to James for being a great bartender and Desiree for waiting on us, they helped make the experience a great one.

All around this night club is great! Friendly staff and costumers! I’d have to say my two favorite servers are Aimee and Candice, they are fast and have great recommendations! And 5⭐️ to George the Club Manger he is great and does a great job at his job!

They have good water and Cold beer.

I have been going to Crocodiles for decades and I am never disappointed! The costume party was hilarious. The music fabulous! I would prefer a little more Prince music but thats just me LOL! The staff is great, always. Yes, the cover charge went up but hasnt everything? I will happily pay it just to keep this great establishment alive for many years to come!

Cool place for us older folks. Not such a darn meat market like the younger clubs. Good music. You can make music requests. Wait staff are courteous and honest. One of the security staff found and returned my earring!💕We had a party of 10 and tore it up! But we are so sore! Getting old aint for sissies.

One of our old standbys. Went back after a few months and was surprised the cover up to $15 now before 9pm. Went early to take advantage of this but ended paying full. I asked the young lady at the register when the change took place. She said Last Night. Ok.... At least we were able to get some happy-hour drink discounts. Or we, thought.. Nope!!! Waitress tacked on a few dollars on her own and tried to keep the change. Man, put a damper on the evening but we were able to shake it off later. Music has changed... More latin now. What?

Its a place to be from a long week be catered by great service bartenders ones they know they remember your favorite drink get greeted by Jacqueline with a smile and the most important is dancing with your favorite songs spinned by the one and only DJ Rene Ruiz a friendly but fun place to be !

Best place to go and have a chill time. I really enjoy the pool tables and the music, Jacqueline is so wonderful always helpful making sure my reservations and getting tables for my group.

This place is for older people not many young people here, if you like old school music then you will like it. Nice dance floor and wide open space but my only complaint is the bouncers they are professional which is good but way too aggressive as if your entering some top seceret government building? They also stalk around the dance floor as if they are looking for anything to approach you? Which gives off awkward vibes when your trying to dance and have a good time.

They always play the best music and it is always nice inside even the bathroom. Theyre service is Awesome...Hillary is my favorite server she is always smiling and always quick with your drinks.

Its been such a long time since i last went out to dance. Cant wait for this place to open up. As someone else mentioned, love going on Thursdays! There is a great atmosphere. Does not get over crowded. Lots of people dancing.

Would not let our friend in on a Halloween night because he wasnt dressed up $25 cover charge but was letting everybody else in that didnt have a costume on. I guess because he didnt have tiddies exposed.

Every time I come here they are ridiculously strict on the dress code. Even on themed nights, like 90s night, they wouldnt let people in with a beanie, heeelllllllooooooo grunge is 90s, beanies are grunge.

Been going to 🐊 for years and out of all the DJ’s over the years Rene Ruiz is the best! He plays the best music and will always take requests.

At first, I was put off by how retro everything and the difference in age group. As I danced I notice how much of a fun environment it is. With a mixture of music and people, I was soon having more fun than I thought I would. The dancefloor is slightly raised and a little uneven, but you get used to it as you dance.P.S. If you arent a regular, dont expect the bartenders to pay much attention to you.

There were 6 fat security guards at the door. I had dress pants awesome sandals badass hair and a white t shirt. They would not let me in due to there dress code as I did not have a collared shirt on. They also did not like my open toed Sandals. Even though many girls were allowed in with open sandals and non collared shirt. They had a black fella with a non collard shirt that they let in. But not me. Even when I identify as a woman I was still refused. Had a mexacan walk out as we were leaving that had the same clothing problems I did. So guessing there racist against white males.

Place is nice as far as decor and drinks but the DJ doesn’t play GOOD MUSIC. I’m actually quite disappointed in choice of music and the fact that they have a request list and don’t play any of the customers requests!

I cabe here for a birthday party I couldnt even get through the front door the bouncer was un extremely rude and was yelling at me about the dress code I wasnt even poorly dressed I looked up this club and there was nothing about a dress code, this club is in an very disgusting sketchy strip mall and their concerned about the dress code and breaking it might ruin their reputation despite the location will never ever come here again if Im going to get yelled at before coming in
