We paid the modest $3 cover charge and were rewarded with a table right next to the stage. A great view of the band and not as loud as you would think. We had a large appetizer, so the waitress just let us sit and chill until we were ready to order. Great southern menu with full bar. Live music was really nice, made the evening that much more enjoyable.
When I came in here in October of 2020, this place was very cool. They had live music playing, which was quite nice. It was somewhat expensive, from what I remember, but the vibes in here were just electric.Unfortunately, I did not get the chance to try their BBQ as I had already eaten earlier. I did get a shirt though, which was quite cool.Overall, a really fun place to go in Nashville.
This place had amazing food and drinks, and extremely friendly service! We made reservations and were seated right next to the stage. Food wise, everything we had was delicious. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich is everything you expect out.of this classic dish! The shrimp and grits had a very cool creole spin to it. The catfish bites were fun and very fresh. We got souvenir glasses with our cocktails as well. It was my sisters birthday, so they told the band her name and gave her a quick shout out (but they dont do much more than that). Music wise: the opening act was OUT OF THIS WORLD. We were seriously in awe of the way the guy sang, and they were only a three piece that sounded so very full. After that, the BB King All Stars came on stage. They were okayA talented group, but they mostly played various covers and I did expect some more rockin blues....it is a blues club after all lol. Still they brought a party out, so that was fun.
Everything from the food to the service to the live music was amazing! The staff is friendly and so in sync the service was great! The music melted me heart and the food was worth every penny. Most definitely recommend the Pulled Pork Plater with Mac n Cheese. This place is great for a night out with friends or family!
Wow! All I can say is wow! This place is so amazing. My waitress was awesome. The Carl Stewart band blew me away. He is incredible on the guitar and his fellow bandmates are so talented! The food was delicious. I had the mac n cheese, greens, hush puppies, bbq grilled chicken, and they have awesome freshly brewed sweet tea! Its a definite must to go back to!
Im really glad I stopped in here. Love the artist himself, and I really enjoyed the live music. Food was great and everyone elses looked yummy too! Server was rushed and just checking boxes. Forgot drinks until he had someone else bring out the food. Id stop in again if I was in town as that may have been a one-off.
BB Kings drummer for 32 years was in town for Willie Nelsons birthday and sat in with the house band. They were incredible. It was funny because the house band kept trying to wrap it up (it was past closing) and he kept starting another song.I think the guitarists name was John Brody (wish I knew for sure so I could follow his career) and that dude was just too sick. I really enjoyed watching him. These guys are all super super polished. Even by Nashville Standards. It was too late for us to eat, but they were still bringing food out to other tables and it looked and smelled next level delicious. I really wish I could have got some of that.Like all places downtown, it was packed.
There is a $10 cover charge to enter the club. The wait time was about an hour and a half. The server was efficient. The band was great and the house was full! However, I gave this Nashville, TN location 4 stars because my food was subpar. I first visited BB Kings in New Orleans, and the food was to die for. I expected to have a similar experience in Nashville but the ribs were over cooked (partially burned), the mac and cheese was dry, and my gin and tonic was not prepared properly.
We went on Thanksgiving. Menu presented was limited due to holiday, but the waiter did say that theyd be more than willing to prepare something else. Husband and I split a full rack of ribs and an order of fries green tomatoes. Everything was amazing. Live music was just a tad too loud, but we will be back as we had a wonderful experience all the way around!!
The music was great, chicken fried sandwich was amazing and served over Mac and cheese which was also fabulous. The bartender who helped us was entertaining to watch and knowledgeable. There are TVs above the bar that play sports if you’re not into the live music. The music was also good, but we didn’t get to enjoy much because they were on break for almost an hour during dinner time. This was disappointing to only because it’s the only place in all of Nashville I went and had to pay a cover charge. Only 4 stars because we paid cover to see a band that wasn’t playing for over half the time we were there during dinner time on a Saturday night.
Public parking lot $31 for 2 hrs but the distance to the restaurant is pretty close. Lots of seating to watch the stage. Blackened catfish with crawfish and shrimp in creole sauce $18.95, large house salad $7.99, fried dill pickles $7.99 delivered quickly and was very good. Entertainment was good, one guy but good. 7:00 would have started the highlighter. Definitely would go again.
One of the best experiences during my trip to Nashville! Wonderful food paired with the amazing sound of the BB Kings All Star Band made for an unforgettable night with a well chosen selection of family favourites and lesser known tracks. The catfish is an excellent entree and was very well prepared and presented, I cant recommend it enough. To top it all off, the wait staff were attentive and very friendly throughout. Excellent club!
Great music from the Carl Stewart Band. The sound was fantastic with a great mix. Our server, Amber, took great care of us. The food was delicious and priced fairly.Lots of original art of blues greats adorn the walls. Theres a small tribute to BB himself and Lucille in a lighted glass case.Parking ($20) was a few blocks away and we hiked in.
I enjoyed BB King’s. Ordered southern seafood platter with catfish and shrimp. Batter on fish was crispy and flavorful. Shrimp were perfect in a light batter. I substituted tator tots for fries. The tots were a bit greasy but that could be because they were served under the fish.Service was great with friendly waitress.
Good food and good music make this a place worth visiting when in Nashville, especially if youre looking to take a break from the country music scene. The night I went, their house band was playing blues and they were great! The food was also pretty good here. Ill definitely go back again, the next time Im in Nashville!
Im torn here so please read my review...1. Music is real good and very entertaining. I give it a 5 out of 5. I went on a Tuesday night and enjoyed two very different bands. Im not a guy who typically likes a loud dinner environment but I felt like I would be doing an injustice if I didnt got enjoy live music, food and beer while in Nashville.2. The food wasnt very good. I give it a 3 of 5. It was decent but nothing to write home about. I ordered crawfish bites for an appetizer and there was little crawfish and more filling in the bites. They were also heavily breaded and over fried. I ordered the catfish for the entree. It wasnt over-cooked so that was a plus but again it was only decent.3. Beer selection is alright. Unfortunately they dont make a list of their beers on tap. This is frustrating because you cant hear the waitress tell you what beers they have because the band is rockin out. So they need to write down their draft menu. The mixed drinks are good but they dont put much alcohol in them.Overall I give this place a 4 of 5. If you want to hear good bands, go here. If you want great food, go somewhere else.
My first visit to this location. Good place for a night of in house entertainment. If you like to dance it is a plus. Nice sized dance floor and the house band is amazing. Singing from Sam and Dave, to Al Green and James Brown... if you enjoy Barry Gordy motown then come on in. The food was very good and served very hot on a crowded Saturday night. Our waitress was Sara (make sure to ask for her), she was absolutely amazing and extremely attentive even with a room full of people. My glass never went past half empty and she checked frequently to see if I needed anything. One caution...everything that has bbq sauce on the menu is medium to hot with either tabasco or sriracha sauce in it so if you dont like spicy food get sauces on the side or none at all. There is no mild sauce options. Amazing experience and will return soon as we can.
I’ve gone to B.B. King’s twice now in the last three months both times were as a welcome dinner to Nashville. The live music is always fantastic the atmosphere is very warm and cozy and the wait staff was great and knowledgeable. My only issue is the food has been a let down (for me)on both occasions. First I had the Yazoo the blackened cat fish on a bed of rice crayfish and shrimp, the fish was cool perfectly but everything else was swimming in a tomato based sauce that was just a miss for me. The second dish was the fried combo. Of Catfish Shrimp hush puppies fries and slaw. The seafood was once again cooked to perfection but everything else fell short and for 21 bucks I think I should have gotten more than sliver of fish and five shrimp and I had to remind the staff about the hush puppies which happened to be the best part of the whole dish. To make a long reading short either eat before you come or stick to the apps and drinks. PS there’s a $15 cover charge on Friday/Saturday.
This is the best blues club around it has friendly staff and a great vibe we were there at lunch and it was just a guy with his guitar and he sang his heart out. The food was top rated plenty of flavor and they had it out to you in no time the city it self was great if your ever in Nashville you have to go here and check it out
Good Lord. I tried to come here twice for lunch and then just drinks. My third time, I HAD to come here because a ghost tour I was unfortunately part of finished here.I had one local beer, a pilsner. It cost me $7.25. I actually thought she charged me for an expensive IPA or a mixed drink.Ill NEVER come back to this OVERTLY EXPENSIVE place ever. You can go to: George Jones, Jason Aldeans, hell, Spaghetti Factory and eat/drink cheaper. When you go to BB Kings, youre paying for the name just to be there.Skip it.Dont believe me, look at their menu online first & compare it with other establishments in the area.BBs is a joke.
Let me start by saying the food was great, The drinks were good, and the atmosphere was amazing. However, the wait for our food was atrocious, almost an hour and that’s after we had waited close to 30 minutes to order. We liked the atmosphere but not enough to want to stay there almost two hours. Luckily the management team took over and saved the day, I can say you all have a great and powerful management, but the waitresses/kitchen need work on time management.
Amazing atmosphere, great live music, server was very polite, food came out in less than 10 minutes & the flavors of the food are extraordinary. I got the chicken tenders which were very large, juicy & crispy. Ribs were falling right off the bone. Was only passing through the city but i will most definitely be back
Went for brunch! Food was amazing! They weren’t busy at all; our reservations were on Sunday at noon. Bottomless mimosas were good; they put your own bottle on the table. Downfall is they only give you one small cup of orange juice per bottle of champagne. Our group had the chicken and waffles, pulled pork hash, biscuits and gravy and traditional breakfast. Everything was delicious! Unfortunately, our waitress didn’t check on us much, and she was a little slow getting what we needed.Oh and parking was expensive but hey that’s Nashville right?
This is only my second time here, but I really adore this place. The food is great, the music is great, the staff is really nice. We celebrated a friends birthday, and more people kept showing up. BB Kings staff were so nice and helpful and did everything they could to accommodate us. When my friends didnt understand the COVID-19 restrictions imposed on restaurants, the staff very kindly explained the restrictions and made sure to both be compassionate and compliant.
Nice atmosphere. Looks like a great spot to be at night when theres a live performance. We were there for lunch just before the band was about to set up. It was a Wednesday so I wasnt expecting live music then anyway. Definitely someplace Id like to come back to if I were in town again. Ribs were great!
I was looking for a good BBQ place... I know everyone has their own preference for BBQ. I am picky and I was not disappointed, the ribs had the best flavor. The coleslaw, baked beans and corn bread- tasty! Also give the hush puppies A try! They had live music and the atmosphere was really nice, they have caricatures on the wall and made the decor!!! Our waitress was attentive and definitely recommend if you’re visiting 😊
Our last dinner in Nashville and boy was it the best meal of the trip! The atmosphere was incredible. Both bands did a stand up job. The wait staff was some of the most friendly, the food is phenomenal, and you HAVE to get one of the drinks with the souvenir cup - it makes a great coin jar at home to commemorate the stay. I absolutely would recommend my family and friends to go there and hope you will enjoy it too!
Hands down the most tender and tasty ribs I have ever experienced in my life. I dislike fish and loved the catfish bites so much we ordered another. Great live music. Great service. Love this place and coming back for the rest of my natural life!
Really nice venue. Plenty of seating and very polite and friendly staff. We had the ribs, pulled pork and they lived up to their reputation. Baked beans were off the charts. Carl Stewart was performing and he and his band were flawless. Such a great experience.
I started working next door to this restaurant recently and was recommended by my coworkers to come here. The waitresses/bartenders are awesome, I love their smokehouse burger and have literally ordered it every day for lunch. 😂Really good food, amazing atmosphere, they have live music sometimes at lunch. 11/10 would recommend to anyone!
Great music, great atmosphere, and great food. Hard to have a conversation because it is loud, but very laid back. It was definitely a nice change from Broadway, which is very high energy.Only negative was that there was a cover charge. Dont know if that is always the case or not, but it seemed strange since almost every bar has live music, and this was the only place I went to that asked for a cover. Definitely worth it though.
Went for lunch on a Monday, had the chicken sandwich and it was excellent. Very good fries too! Prices were very reasonable and the place is very classic old time bar with a large stage and a couple of bars. Great place for lunch. Music started at 4pm and Im sure much better then!
Great but make sure you know there is live music 99% of the time which requires a cover charge.Made a reservation for 15 people and was not told about the live music cover charge. We couldnt really hear each other because it was so loud. Great if you are there for the music. But not so much if you are there with people you want to actually talk to. Like if I was on a date that I did want to talk much, great. The music acoustics were not that great either.Food 7 out of 10Music 4 out of 10But still left happy so still good.
The place to be in the Nashville area. The food, drink, service, atmosphere, and music is absolutely stellar. Everything is amazing here. The food I had was the hot chicken fried chicken and the peach cobbler, every bite was as good as the last (if not better). The drink I had was the Tennessee lemonade and oh man that was delicious in my (currently inebriated) opinion. My waitress/server Alexandria was a hoot and was absolutely amazing on keeping food and drinks coming. And the bands that played (it was Friday) were the classy carl Stewart until about 6:30 then until about 8pm it was absolutely soulful BB Kings All Star band. It was a blast to be here.
I wish I could give them 0 stars. The music act was fantastic, but unfortunately that was the only enjoyable thing about our visit. Our waiter took FOREVER to bring our drinks but we figured it was because they were busy. After waiting a while for our food (fried pickles should not take half hour and then come out cold), we found out the rest of our table’s order was lost. Cool. (There was also a table next to us that ended up walking out without paying for the drinks because their food order was also lost.) So they made sure it was brought out right away. When it came to paying, it was an absolute mess. Our server had to ask us what we ordered and then managed to still mess up the checks. And once again, it took our server a good 20 minutes (after we had already been done eating for half hour) to bring our checks. The other people in our party had their food comped by the manager for the long wait but they still charged for one beer. After a LONG argument with management, we finally got the entire table’s meals comped. We will NOT be recommending this place to friends.
Im from California and was in downtown Nashville for 2 days and ended up coming here 3 Times!!!! So to say the least I love love loved this place. Great music that only stopped between musicians changing setups. The food was amazing, the service was kind and on top of it! I would recommend this spot to anyone!!!
An awesome blues club, the band was very talented and serious about their performance. The food and service was great. I ordered the ribs which were cooked to perfection. We came 13 people and they went out of their way to make sure we sat together even though it was very busy. Really don’t have one bad thing to say or one piece of constructive criticism to share. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Nashville.
There were two bands for the night and both bands were great. We had a waitress that had several tables but made Us feel as though We were Her only table. She was Awesome..... We had veggies and later dinner and wine. I ordered the Catfish nuggets and fries and they were to die for.....The nuggets had the best taste which everyone seemed to want once I got them and They ended up as Our appetizer too. I recommend BB Kings as a place One experience for the entertainment as well as the food......Go check it out and Enjoy.....
The food was great. The BBQ nachos are a dont miss. The baked beans were so rich and thick and the ribs are just right. The band is awesome. Large stage and loads of seating. The service was prompt and polite. It is a place to check out.
We enjoyed the food and ambiance. The musician was great. Our server was missing on occasion and our drinks left a lot to be desired. I had the southern Hurricane and I didnt taste any alcohol. It still was an Awesome experience!
Actually, it was great, until....We went there last night as a family to celebrate a birthday. We arrived at 7:30. Food didnt arrive until 9:15. No problem. We enjoyed the music. Because we had children with us, we were ready to leave soon after our meal. Asked for check at 10:15....did not receive until 11:30. Most of the children in our party are getting sleepy and restless. In the mist of all of this, the manager taps my 16yr. old on the shoulder while she is returning from the restroom and rudely tells her that it is 21 & up after 9. First of all, he could have approached one of the many adults in our party. Second of all, we shouldnt have had to wait over an hour to pay. No more family parties there for us.
If you have a chance to eat here, do not pass it up! My sister suggested that we eat here one night while we were in Nashville on vacation with our mom. It was a Saturday evening around 6 pm, and I wasnt too excited about it initially, assuming that there would be a long line that wouldnt be worth it.There was about an hour-long wait when we arrived at the hostess stand, but instead of having to stand there and wait, they took one of our cell phone numbers and said they would text when a table was ready, leaving us free to walk around downtown Nashville and make the most of our time! When we got back to the restaurant, we were promptly seated, and, since the band that was on stage at the time was more than halfway through their set, the hostess waived the $15/person cover charge. I wish I remembered the name of the band that was playing, because they were INCREDIBLE. It was some of the best blues music Ive ever heard. It was hard to even concentrate on the food - which, by the way, was delicious! This place is definitely worth the stop. Its affordable and has a great atmosphere. It was one of my favorite parts of the week we spent in Nashville, and if Im ever down there again, Im absolutely going to eat here again!
We had our wedding here and the staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful. The room was fantastic, and the food was great as well. The mac and cheese is worth traveling long distances for. Out in the main room there is a band playing for tips, and a nice open dining area with a full bar. Great place.
Visited here for dinner, dancing and music and got plenty of everything! The ribs were great. The music was fantastic and the service was top notch. All for a $10 cover which was a small orice to pay for all the entertainment alone. Autumn was our server and she took excellent care of us all evening. I would highly suggest going there if youre in Nashville.
This place wasnt a long wait to get in like all others around the area. Very good group of music artist, very spacious inside and clean. Staff here are nice, but they are very busy for the amount of traffic that comes in on the weekends. They could use more help to keep guest happy. Drinks are very pricey when you enter. Food is okay for drunk people food and thats about it. Over all great place fun times
A gem of Nashville! The staff all around is amazing and super friendly! Our server was Thabang (I think that was her name) she was very attentive and helpful. The music is absolutely incredible. You will not be able to hold back from dancing. The food and drinks was absolutely delicious and at a very good price point. Highly recommend this place
Trey was an excellent waiter. Down home meal. The band and music are magnificent a combination. You enjoy music and you can leisurely eat your dinner. It was nice to see happy staff walking around even dancing a bit at times. Truly an enjoyable place to visit.
The ribs are delicious! My best friends and I really enjoyed the food here. The server was very friendly. And of course there was live music the whole time. We really had a good time here. Would go back if we were in the area
My youngest sons 21st birthday was celebrated here! Everyone and everything is on point! The kitchen is conscientious about the preparation of their meals from beginning to end. Service is friendly and professional and the bar is smooth! We will be back and I highly recommend coming here when you come to Nashville!
Had an excellent time of eating and music entertainment. I ate peeled pork brisket and chicken tender starter and it was DELICIOUS!!! Excellent service by Alexus, TOO! Things started off GREAT from the front door! GREAT ambiance... I would recommend to ANYONE!!!
Charged a $5 cover that went to the band (no other bar/restaurant charged cover). We had to wait 20 minutes for a table even though there were so many empty seats. The atmosphere was pretty meh. Once we ordered (chicken fried chicken which was mediocre) it took 40 minutes for our food to arrive. There were so many wait staff yet they were doing everything to avoid being helpful. We did go on a Sunday, and the kitchen closed at 9:30PM and they shut the place down by 10:30PM. The band however was really good!
Id give zero stars except for the server. She was good, but needs to find a new place to work. First band was great. I cant tell you what the food was like. We never got any. We waited two hours and were told the kitchen was behind and they hadnt started on our order yet (hamburger and ribs). We left and will never go back.
When we went, we had an amazing time. Good food. Small place but the atmosphere was awesome. They had a real band playing actual music... not the same 10 songs youve heard a million times (like Journeys Dont Stop Believing 😣).
A must visit. Really enjoyed the v live entertainment. The food was excellent. We had the BBQ chicken, Shrimp Poboy, Lucilles skillet. Even the sweet tea was great!! You are missing out if you dont visit.
Came here in July for my anniversary and back in October for a girls trip. Both times were AMAZING. Music was awesome. Food was amazing. The BB King House Band was outstanding. Great time had by all. Shrimp and Grits were flavorful and tasty.
Live music, amazing ambiance, great food. Our server was very friendly, he had a trainee working with him and she quickly picked up on his vibe, if you like live music you should definitively visit here, the music can get very loud though.we had booked a table for 07pm and by the time we left, I think it was closer to 09pm there was a huge line waiting to get a table.
Fantastic live music and great food. We paid a cover charge on Saturday night of $5 per person. We sat at the bar while waiting for a table. Said the wait was 35 minutes. After 45 we checked and we werent on the list but the host remembered us so we got a table. I received the text 4 hours later that our table was ready. Other than thatit would have been 5 stars.
Awesome food! Do not leave without trying the loaded pulled pork tater tots!! There was a guy playing acoustic, not sure who he was, but he was awesome! Good music, Clean restaurant, excellent service, incredible food and a chill atmosphere, what more could you want? Check em out!
Food was great, service not so much. Ordered an appetizer and it came 5 seconds before the meal. Table was dirty and the waitress didnt seem to know how to clean the stuck sauce off of it. Waitress cleaned only some of the dishes off the table. Never took mine. Came after wed eaten and asked how the food was. She was terrible. The only reason for the 4 is the food and the live music. Wish we would have had the male server...he at least seemed to care about his tables.
The one thing I love about certain types of restaurant, is when you can mix great food in great music. This place does just that! The barbecue ribsa were well seasoned and slowly cook. The live in attainment was just as enjoyable as the food itself. The venue is a huge venue that fits a big crowd. And dont be afraid to dance when you get there.
Great food Great TimeIf you like BBQ and good music stop by. The food was reasonably priced and of good quality. Im not a barbecue snob so Im not going to try to rate it. It was just good quality food. My wife ordered pulled pork and they brought her this huge mound of food. The music at BB King is as you would expect. The acts turn over every 2 hours and youll get a variety of local up-and-coming talent. We had a very enjoyable evening with no pressure and no cover charge.
I stopped in for a quick bite. When I didnt order alcohol, my waitress rolled her eyes at me. I didnt quite understand, I work as a waiter as well, in Nashville too, and think its important to treat others in a hospitable way. The music was absolutely fantastic, the food was great, but the way I was treated absolutely soured the experience.
I had heard about the ribs not tasting that good they were awesome. We walked in and the music was great and wow the memories when you heard those songs. It was a live band and everyone seemed to be enjoying the music. I ordered the catfish and shrimp and OMG both platters were fantastic. My husband ordered the ribs and chicken. Also fantastic even the fries. Lots of food to take home as leftovers. Can’t wait to return,
Food absolutely incredible, best Gumbo ever. Pulled pork tater tots are excellent. Great selection of drinks on offer. Great blues band playing. The staff are great, especially our server Alexandria, who was just super awesome, very friendly and helpful. She had a trainee guy with her, who was also cool and friendly. Highly recommend this place for great food and great staff.
Classy restaurant/bar with great live music and good food. Family friendly just a block from the wild broadway. The night we were there they had an incredible band who cover some classic rock and jazz. Food was good...shrimp and grits, country fried chicken. Service was pleasant and attentive. Only thing I could say to improve was the Old Fashion I ordered came in a small plastic cup. Why not a glass?
This place used to be a must visit when traveling to Nashville. The food used to be AMAZING and the service was also great. It has gone DOWNHILL!! The music was good tonight, but the food was very disappointing and the service was mediocre at best. The gumbo could have been out of a can and isnt as dark and smoky as I remember. Also, the ribs were burned, dry and very fatty. The sweet smoky signature taste I remember and came here for doesnt exist anymore. Finally, there were few baked beans, mostly just sauce, and the cornbread muffin (which I didnt eat) looked like a little yellow hockey puck... not a muffin at all. Finally, as far as service goes, I asked the waiter a few questions about the menu and he literally just shrugged... no answer. With all the great music venues in Nashville and SO MUCH better food joints, I WOULDNT WASTE MY TIME AT BB KINGS.
We visited on a Saturday night around 9ish, the cool thing was if you say at the bar there was no cover charge. The problem was the only bar high top available had a vent directly above it. I had to go to the bar to order drinks and food, I felt like I worked here. The live music was AMAZING, however, me servicing our table diminished our experience to say the least. I would recommend this place around 10-10:30 for optimum experience
The service was horrible! We ordered drinks and they were not served in the take home glass as advertised and on top of that they were watered down and gross. The waitress was extremely rude we asked for a little more time to look over the menu and she ignored us for about 15 minutes. Mind you there was only one other table in her section. You can tell only tourist come to the restaurant probably because the locals know better. Needless to say we left. The only good thing about the place is the music. I wouldnt go back or recommend anyone else go.
What has happened to this place??? Ive been here before and it was good. Waited 45 minutes for a table when the place was half full. Food took a long time to come out. GROSS fried pickles came a minute before entrees. MAC and cheese was dried out and flavorless. Baked beans were from a can, meatloaf was dry and burned. Ribs were good. Restaurant and restrooms could use a good cleaning. Come on guys, how about some quality control? Never saw a manager around.
Loved this place! My adult son and I decided to go on a road trip and we chose Nashville. Tough to find parking for this place and can be quite expensive, so we had to walk a few blocks, but so worth it. The first place we parked at was a steep surface lot a few blocks up & was $50 for 2 hours; we got out of there and found a ramp a few more blocks away for $15. There was a cover of $10 to get in since there were bands playing. The food was delicious, the waiter was fantastic. We got a table right in front of the stage and stayed there for the bands. The catfish is our favorite! Dim lighting, good food & music. I had been to the one in Memphis as well, liked both places. The bathrooms are dark, think there was 3 or 4 stalls; men and womens are right next to each other. Always a good time when the blues are playing!
Went for a late lunch today. The atmosphere and music were awesome, but the food and service are lacking. Our waitress was super nice, but service was incredibly slow. They advertised Frozes on the tables, but were out. Why advertise something you dont have? At least remove the advertisement off the tables. My husbands had a burger and said it was a great. I ordered the chopped chicken salad. After waiting forever to order our food and for it to come out, they brought my salad...and no dressing. Pretty sure the guy that brought the food out was high. Took at least 10 minutes to get someones attention to ask for dressing and when they finally brought it, it was only a tiny bit, for a large salad. The dish with dressing was only half full. At the bottom of my salad there was wilted lettuce that was either old or had been sitting for a while. The blackened chicken was amazing, the rest of the salad wasnt so good. Definitely not worth the $14 we paid for it. Well probably visit again, but will just sit at the bar and order drinks. Wouldnt recommend this place if you need to eat and run, but if youre looking for a place to hangout & listen to live music, its a fun place.
I very much enjoyed my evening at this establishment. Drink prices are typical of the area. They take reservations online, have fantastic live blues, and actually have a tasty menu. The chicken fried chicken was excellent. I suggest checking out the lineup before heading over
I went with family, we were out of state. This place was definitely a great choice. The music was great. The food was great --especially the collard greens . Yummy, when I return to Nashville,TN, I would honestly go back there for another meal and music.
Visited on Tuesday evening and was immediately seated and given menus. The host and greeters were awesome but the food quality was mediocre at best. I ordered fried pickles which I sent back because they were more thin and salty than desired, my spinach dip wasnt melted and my entree of salmon, rice and greens were very bland. It was similar to nursing home quality. This place is great for entertainment, the live band was extremely talented. I would not recommend eating here or purchasing margaritas. I ordered the blueberry lemon drop and it was weak considering 12 dollar purchase price.
Tip: stop by the Tennessee/Memphis visitor center and pick up their pamphlet. It’s got a coupon for $1 admission (typically $10) and half off appetizer. This place is amazing!! The vibe was great. I’m not sure who the artist was (perhaps Will Tucker) but he had a great sound. It was loud, so only go if you’re planning on enjoying live music and great food. It’s not really a place to sit and chat.I had their mixed drink southern hurricane and it was really good. It tasted like some kind of drink or candy from my childhood but I couldn’t really place what it was.For food, my friend and I split the pulled pork sandwich and the debris burger. Both were FABULOUS! the pulled pork is the best you will ever eat. It’s moist and flavorful. Some places think “flavorful” pulled pork means salty, but here it’s actually flavorful. They put just enough bbq sauce on it, but they also have a jar at the table if it’s not enough for you. Put the slaw on top of the sandwich for a really fabulous taste. The debris burger was so rich and big. You had to eat fries in between each bit because it was so rich. This definitely deserves a beer by its side if you’re going to order it.Great place and would highly recommend if you want to spend an evening on Beale street.
Pulled pork and sides were great. Kids (12 & 7) enjoyed themselves and the music. Ribs were tough, hence the drop. They did redo them & didnt charge for them, but they still werent great. Recommend BB Kings for anyone wanting good food without the country music...just dont recommend the ribs.
My wife and i visited for the first time, today. I used the Open Table app. We arrived a few minutes early, and were promptly seated. Right in front of the stage. The Carl Stewart Band, was on stage. They even took a few requests. We spent almost 2 hrs eating, and listening to some first class musicians. The food was good, the band was great. My wife and i both loved it. We will definitely go back.
Food, atmosphere, live music and service were all fantastic! I had the nachos (delicious) and pulled pork sliders (yum!). The live music added to the atmosphere and made our lunch more enjoyable. Will definitely be back!
Even though I had to pay a $5 cover charge to enter because of the band, it was worth it. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, even while being very busy. The menu had a variety of food options which made it hard to choose just one thing to get! Big portions, good music, friendly staff, great location.
Went to a private event in the underground. The music upstairs was fantastic, too. Great venue. Friendly servers and some affordable gluten free options that were YUMMY! Leave your car elsewhere, though, and take an Uber. Parking is a joke downtown. Highly recommended.
Mike Hayes was crazy good! There is an incredible amount of talent in this performance. Great guitarist and moving vocals makes this artist a must hear! BB Kings is a Nashville treasure reinvigorating soul into the context of this generations music vernacular. Service and food were surprisingly good. I had Kings Meatloaf. Everything was very great (green beans, meatloaf, mash potatoes, and cornbread).
We called ahead of time to make sure there was enough seating for us. Came about 2 and half hours before closing and was seated right away. Waited for our waitress for 20 minutes, she approached us. Did you seat yourself? No we didnt, can we have a menu? She leaves and returns in 10 minutes to inform us that the the kitchen was closed. Can we get dessert? I asked, as my friend and I didnt have supper. When the kitchen is closed its closed. It would have been nice to inform us prior to paying a cover charge and being seated. We spent the rest of the night with the waitress ignoring us and stomping the chairs around. Lesson learned. Wish I could recommend this place. I will say that the music was nice.
Food tasted average and was pricy. Hostesses were not very friendly and reservation policy needs help. We arrived at 5 pm with no reservations. There were seats at the bar so we sat there, each got 2 drinks and ate our food and out by 6:30. When we left there were still open tables for their reservations. Clearly they dont understand the concept of reservations. We ordered an appetizer we never got, fortunately they forgot to charge us for it.
The food was delicious, the music was wonderful, but the service the day we visited was mediocre at best. We waited for 20 minutes for a waiter to visit the table, then it continued to go downhill after. Had the service been better, I wouldve rated 5 stars, especially since it wasnt an overly busy night.
This place is a great addition to all the other things downtown Nashville has to offer. The atmosphere is great, the food is pretty good, the house band is fantastic! We took some out of town guests here and they really had a great time.
My wife and I loved this place we walked all over Nashville and finally decided to have dinner here. The entertainment was excellent with one of B.B. Kings band members on stage with his own band.Shows that B.B. worked with some of the best musicians on the planet.Oh did I say the food is reasonably priced and very good
One of the most perfect nights I had here. My husband took me here on our 1st / trip together. We talk about it everyday. I told him on our anniversary I would like to go back. Hopefully they will open back up again, you gave us the best memories. Thank you so much
A great restaurant with daily life music. A must visit if you are in the area. The food was excellent with generous portions and reasonable prices. The artists that play cycle each night, but the night we were there the music was excellent. Well definitely visit again when Im in the area. Well worth it.
Love this restaurant -- good drinks, great music, and delicious food! We have been here multiple times, with and without children, and have enjoyed every visit. I recommend the Yazoo Creole Catfish -- its a ton of food, but you will enjoy and savor every bite.
We went to Sunday brunch, Im told its relatively new so a few kinks yet to be worked out. The music & food were good, as a former waitress, I can tell you they must have more than one waitress for drink orders. I feel like a busser or two would be helpful as well.
Great drinks and appetizers. Love the bar staff; theyre fun and unique! We were there during happy hour and got a few drinks and a delicious appetizer. If our stay had been longer, we would have tried here for dinner because it seems like a fun place.
FANTASTIC 😍 I had ribs with Mac & cheese with baked beans.Ribs-Falling off the bone and seasoned PERFECTLY.Mac&Cheese—Oooooooo child, the best I’ve tasted so far.Baked beans-Perfect..Staff—Very welcoming, attentive and great attitudes..The service & atmosphere & music!!—SUPERB & MORE SUPERB!!😍😍😍😍Whenever I’m in the Nashville AREA this will be a mandatory stop for me!!
Had a great time. We saw the BEST band!! Michael Hayes and the Hustle. This was on Thursday night. Awesome guitar player and singer! I just cant explain how good he is!! Also bread pudding was super!
Everything was just pretty good. And pricey (that part was not a shock). The food was pretty good, the music was pretty good, the service was pretty good. Just a little loud for my tastes, but Im sure others would disagree. Would go again, though. Brisket sandwich is best.
We got there around 8 pm on a Friday night. Caught the tail end of one band and then the All Star Band performed. The music was incredible!!!! The food and service was awesome! This is definitely going to be one of my favorite hang out spots!
Food was delicious and the live band was awesome!!! I was visiting from Detroit and had it not been raining so hard, I wouldve gone back the next night. Definitely recommend this place and Ill definitely be returning the next time Im in Nashville!
I was there with a group of 10 for lunch last Saturday while recovering from the night before. It was exactly what I needed! Food portions were very generous and the flavor was awesome. The bbq sauce has the right amount of kick and will not disappoint. You can’t go wrong with debris fries, debris burger, or the brisket sandwich.
Fantastic brisket, the best ribs Ive had in a long time, terrific hush puppies and a crazy good bread pudding that is worth saving room for (or just stuffing yourself for). The musician playing through our lunch was great as well. Take the short walk up from Broadway, its worth it.
Great music, genuine atmosphere! Like the remodel. Matek was our waiter in training. Unfortunately they were out of ribs, Thursday night at 6pm. That was the whole reason we came. So chose the pork platter, Mac & cheese, shrimp and grits. Prices were good for the location.
Great live music and atmosphere, decent food, but very poor service. The waitress brought the wrong drink, which was fine because it was so loud and I felt bad I hadnt been more clear. But from then on she would just drop off our items without saying anything to us. The rest of the waiters seemed in a similar state of hustle and bustle. You can still be quick without being rude.
Went in for dinner. Ordered my meal and it arrived with no cutlery. Had to wait for them to bring cutlery. After my drink was empty I had to wait for 15 minutes to get the waiters attention for another drink. I then waited and waited and waited for the bill. It took 30 minutes before I could catch their attention and get the bill. I always tip minimum 20%. But on this occassion I only tipped 10%. I am not paying for bad service (or no service at all).
Always a great time. Music is amazing, highly recommend coming in on Saturday night for Carl and the Music City All Stars. Food and service are wonderful. Definitely one of the only good reasons to head downtown.
The music was great. The server was terrible. He got an attitude because he didn’t hear me say I wanted a sprite 😂.Came back with carbonated water aka his version of sprite 😂.so I said just don’t bring Food (Beale street burger) wasn’t good. I told him no mayo and he scamsBack with no mayo nor mustard🤦🏾♀️couldn’t remember what i the last time I was there. Wasn’t about to let it go back because I have heard horror stories of what they do do your food when the have to make it right want be gong back there
