Just had one of the best experiences at Joanna Vargas salon! I was a new guest and came in for a triple crown facial and let me tell you I was blown away from start to finish. As soon as I entered I was warmly greeted by the front desk as they kindly checked me in. Jenny my aesthetician was amazing! This is new for me and she patiently walked me through the whole process while explaining to me in detail step by step during the facial. I loved how the microcurrent depuffed and sculpted my face and added youth (which we all love loll). I was provided some recommendations for products and it was a very honest and genuine recommendation. Joanna Vargas spa is truly the fountain of youth. I cannot wait to come back!
Joanna Vargas spa is an amazing experience. I had the pleasure of seeing Sadie as my esthetician, and it was nothing short of a great experience. She was very open to explaining all details of my facial to me thoroughly. She was very knowledgeable and kind throughout the whole time there. Sadie at Joanna Vargas is incredible! She is so great at recommend different facials that work great for your skin and concerns. I always leave my facial with my skin glowing and get so many compliments!! She has been doing my facials getting me prepped for my wedding and my skin looks incredible. She is the best I highly recommend going to her!
Great services, staff and communication. My skin has made a definite change for the better just after a few regular facials. I never really thought it was bad, but now I know its in the way to great. The texture is different, really can tell the difference. Even with the pricey services they still do a medium to hard upsell of products or services. Have to say, that can cheapen the experience a bit, but it can also open you up to new products or services. So, its up to you and very easy to turn down the regular upsells. I would suspect thats why this is a successful company, that and the obvious talent of their staff. I would say 100% worth it, believe the hype.
THE BEST HOUR OF MY LIFE WITH DEANNA. I got a hydrofacial with Deanna today and it was the best experience I had! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and relaxed. The facial left my skin feeling hydrated, glowing, and like BUTTER. Her expertise and personalized approach stood out, and I left with not just beautiful skin but also valuable skincare tips. I HIGHLY recommend Deannas facials to anyone looking for a top-notch spa experience. Will definitely be returning next month!!!!!!!!
Well, I am going to start by saying that It was my first time coming here because my lovely daughter bought me a package here as a present for my birthday. I must say it was expensive one. I am super upset and sad for the service I got from the personnel at the front desk. They make me feel like I did not belong there, first when I arrived, they could not find my reservation then after they finally were able to find my name, they were going to make me fill out the forms I already did online without checking for it. then when everything was clear i just step aside and waited for more than 15 minutes without any updates on when or who I was waiting for it was very hot that day and I was super thirsty, but they did not offer a drink or anything while I was waiting. I felt I was invisible there! and trust me I saw many other clients receiving warn welcoming and friendly greetings as they come and goes. Thank goodness for the girls who did the facial and body massage they were nicer and friendlier. Honestly, I did not notice any difference after the triple crown facial I received but it was ok. as per the 60-minute tailor made massage it was also ok. If I will come back here NO! unfortunately the uncomfortableness I felt when I was leaving was wait too much, no one even noticed my presence and asked me how the service was even tough I said thank you while I was leaving no one even bother to turn and reply to me. I mean after the amount of money my daughter pay for me to feel like a million dollar renew MOM. Unfortunately, my whole experience got ruin because of the poor customer service in the front DESK the least you can expected is for someone to ask you how the service went not even a thank you for coming today Honestly I was in shock!
Joanna Vargas Spa is fantastic. From the moment you walk in from the beautiful decor to welcoming, friendly staff, you will instantly feel comfortable. I had the pleasure of having Sarah as my esthetician. She was friendly, informative and asked my concerns with my skin and what I wanted her to focus on. She explained every step of very luxurious triple crown facial. I am in my early 40s and my skin has not stopped glowing. It was also just steps from Grand Central, so a very quick train ride if you are in Long Island.
Love JV. Have been obsessed with this place and the wonderful personalized care Jenny has given me for more than six years. They have the most effective skin technology integrated seamlessly into their treatments, update their menu as needed to ensure their offerings remain top-of-the line, and offer great package discounts. Coming here regularly has kept my skin in such great health that I look better now than I did in college!
I got an Oxygen Purifying Facial today and WOW! loveeed it. I got a great extraction with Rebeca who applied the right amount of pressure with little to no discomfort despite my congested skin. It was a very nice fee cleanse with a great mini massage around the neck area that I still can’t get over. After the extractions I got cryo therapy that helped calm my skin from redness and reduce inflammation. Overall I need to book another appointment ASAP. Wonderful staff and great environment to relax
I have been getting regular facials for close to two years with Olivia and my skin has never been better. Ladies, spending money on Botox is useless if you’re not doing regular facials to keep that skin healthy! Olivia is a true artist. She takes such gentle and efficient care of my skin. Never doing a hard sell, but truly analyzing what my skin needs to make it the best it can be. She’s also just the best person and I genuinely look forward to my facials to get to see her. Shout out also to the JV products. They are the real deal and I’ve tried them all.
I am being a client of Maria for a few year’s already, she never stops to amaze me by hers incredible deep knowledge in cosmetology and professionalism. Always calm, patient , always very attentive to my needs. Recently I am having Triple Crown facial which based on microcurrent technology on a regular basis : from very first procedure my skin v visibly changed . It gives a glow, moister and tightness to my face .Definitely recommend it!
Beautiful salon and facilities, well-designed facials that are constantly evolving and focus on the latest technology. However, use caution when purchasing their packages. The esthetician is a core part of the experience. Unfortunately, there is significant turnover and I have rotated through four estheticians (together with at least another four that werent a good fit) over the years. I made a choice to leave after developing a relationship with yet another who left. When I reached out, they adhered to their strict refund policy, despite being a loyal customer and converting massage credits when they no longer offered the service.

They aided me by explaining the services available and helped me decide what was appropriate for me.I ultimately chose the oxygen purifying facial with extractions and the red light therapy...Now for “the experience”…First off, the entire facility is as beautiful, well maintained and clean as the reception area.The provided robe and slippers were LUXURIOUS . I know it’s “the treatments” that matter most, but all these “extra” things make it feel like a luxury indulgence.My esthetician, Gina, was spectacular! She explained step-by-step what we were doing, why we were doing it, and what results I could expect.Gina asked periodically “if I was comfortable”, “did I need anything”, or “if I had any questions.”The entire treatment was relaxing, invigorating, and rejuvenating!!! Wow, I left feeling so uplifted!I came out of the facial room feeling like a different person. My skin looks and feels so amazing!The red light therapy was the perfect choice for after the facial. It’s the perfect way to relax and just enjoy a quiet few moments.Again, the room was so comforting, and the light bed obviously high quality and well maintained.To sum up, the entire experience was without fault.I can honestly, say without hesitation, i will not go anywhere else again.Truly an AMAZING experience.Thank you!!!
Deanna Was not great. Overall facial was waste of $$ sheet mask I can do myself at home. 1st time ever I noticed no difference in my face after a facial. Don’t waste your $$$ Overall one of the worst facials. I will not recommend to anyone or come back. Idk how celebrities go to this place. It’s not true at all.
Today I had facial done at Joanna Vargas. The space is beautiful, clean, and all the staff were so friendly. I got the oxygen facial with Vitalight treatment. My esthetician was Gabrielle and she was absolutely amazing. She was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. My skin was in desperate need of some help. Gabrielle explained everything she was doing and was so gentle with extractions. She gave me skincare tips and suggested products for me to use to benefit my skin and prevent break outs. This was hands-down the best facial I’ve ever received. After my treatment, my skin was literally glowing! I highly recommend Gabrielle and Joanna Vargas for any of your skin care needs! I will definitely be back.
I had such a great facial at the Joanna Vargas Salon. I got the Triple Crown Royal with Aja and it was exactly what I needed. Aja was so sweet. She was constantly checking in with me to make sure I was comfortable and ensuring that I felt good at all times. She has really good hands, which made the treatment very relaxing. I really loved the microcurrent. It gave my cheeks a lift and made me look well rested. I am definitely looking forward to my next facial with her.
Beginning to end I had the best experience here! Esthetician Aja was so sweet, professional, and knowledgable and the Triple Crown Facial was AMAZING. And the woman who made my appointment for me on the phone and the women who checked me in and checked me out were all SO patient and welcoming and nice. Will definitely be back!
For your own peace of mind do not purchase a package here. The estheticians are lovely, but should yours move on to a better work environment…. No refunds. (That’s what they say despite me knowing first hand of several they have even recently issued). Unfortunately I was sold a package for a specific esthetician that is no longer with the establishment. They did this to keep my business but were not transparent about the terms. Despite me having in writing the package was to maintain pricing with a specific esthetician they have constantly refused a refund only replying back with their blanket refund policy (in the form of a single photo by their register and was not mentioned during the time of purchase). For all technicality, I did reach out within days of me learning my esthetician was leaving which falls within the refund window.Talking with management has been worse than talking to an AI bot. Same copy and paste response in nearly every email.Also, the bed light is grossly over priced and management is abismal. ($150 for a 20 minute session… there are places far less for the exact same thing). There are better salons in NYC. If you find an esthetician here you like, great! I did too. But do yourself a favor and pay as you go. The package savings are not worth it and the work environment is not as chipper as they front.
Little did I know that when I entered the Joanna Vargas Salon over two years ago that I had walked into a slice of heaven! The women at the front desk were warm and welcoming and made me feel at home immediately. By chance, my aesthetician was Gina, who turned out to be a remarkable woman whose expertise in skin care has played a major role in the beauty of my skin today. With so many delicious facials to choose from, Gina knows exactly what my skin needs on any particular day and plies her magic effectively. Because my life is hectic, this is the perfect place to escape to, getting lost in time as I am carefully and comfortably ministered to. I always leave with friendly words from Gina and the staff, and my skin feeling alive and glowing. I also love the wonderful products they have for sale; my cabinet is full of magical and rejuvenating serums and creams to mix and match, making it a pleasure now to pamper my face at home. All in all, if you are looking for a respite to treat yourself to some restorative time for your skin, I highly encourage you to experience it for yourself. When I walk out the door, I am always looking forward to my next visit there!

As an Aesthetician myself, I am usually extremely picky when getting any facial. However, today I was completely blown away! I had the Triple crown facial with Sara and I must say this is one of the best facials I’ve ever received!! She started with a super thorough cleanse followed by amazing micro current to tone and lift me! My absolute favorite part was the cryo and oxygen at the end!! I left feeling so glowy and beautiful! I will totally be coming back to see Sara!!!!

What an incredible spa! I had the triple crown royale facial with Adrea and it was one of the best treatments Ive received. Adrea is warm and inviting, and took the time to listen to me about my skin concerns (dryness, aging) and make suggestions to customize my treatment. The microcurrent, LED light therapy and the oxygen treatment at the end were incredible. Adrea showed me how the microcurrent helped to sculpt my face, I couldnt believe the results from just one service. My skin looked amaxing at the end! I left feeling refreshed and youthful. The spa itself was bright, clean and soothing, taking you right out of the bustle of midtown and into relaxation. The ladies at the front desk were kind and welcoming also. All around, a 10/10 luxury experience.
While this review is for Joanna Vargas (and, make no mistake, their entire staff is wonderful, including their amazing team at reception), its really for Layvelle.I have been coming to Layvelle for facials every 4-6 weeks since April 2023 and can only describe her as a literal earth angel. Not only is she a knowledgeable, trusted esthetician and authority on my skin (and makes great, non-pushy product recommendations when asked), but shes also one of the kindest people Ive encountered in my life. While she does her magic, I get to lay still, relax, and talk about whatever pops into my brain, and she listens, we laugh, or sometimes I just zone out and find myself half asleep! Trust me, just make the appointment. You wont regret it!

Wow ! This is my first time coming in to Joanna Vargas and from the moment I entered to the very end , I couldn’t stop saying wow. Natali welcomed me in such a beautiful way. She led me to her room and explained what service we will be doing today, which was the Triple Crown Facial and a cleanse .Her hands from the first touch to the last was just unbelievable. It shows how much she loves her career and making people feel amazing . I have never done microcurrent before, and while she explained every step , it really made sense and the difference was phenomenal. Joanna’s sheet masks are just so hydrating and Natali did a great amount of cryotherapy , so soothing and felt great. Lastly , the oxygen infused was something interesting and I loved it . She explained the benefits and It felt soooooo good . Overall, this facial service was something I never imagine to be . I’ve been going to the New York location for over two years and it is the best. highly highly recommend seeing Deanna if you have a choice. i first saw her when i was re-struggling with cystic acne after having done accutane twice and trying everything else under the sun, and she not only cured my acne but has made my overall skin health and appearance one million times better. she is the absolute best!

Run, dont walk to Joanna Vargas(JV) for all your skin care and self-care needs! It is tucked away in what appears to be a nondescript office building, but when you enter the 3rd floor, you enter an oasis. The reception area is gorgeous and the ladies at reception are the sweetest. However, in my humble opinion the crown jewel of JV is Layvelle--BOOK LAYVELLE FOR YOUR FACIALS! TRUST ME! Not only is she an incredibly knowledgeable esthetician but her bright smile and lovely energy will make your spa experience one you will want to return to again and again. Layvelle will have your skin GLOWWWING AND your spirit singing! Each time I book a facial with Layvelle, I look and feel my absolute best. She makes my day each and every time!
I have never had a bad experience at JV and i have been going there for facials for 6 years. The clean and beautiful space is instantly mood lifting and the staff is superior. Marina has been my esthetician for a few years now and i will never find anyone better!

I used to be a fan of this salon. Back in the day Joanna hired good people. She hired competent aestheticians that were skin care knowledgeable. Over the years she lost her quality and she tried to make up for it by charging the customer more. Her prices increased but her quality decreased. I recently moved out of state and could not get my money back for a package that I purchased. Something completely unheard of in any other business that is not JV. I was told I could buy more product. I have been loyal to this salon for over 15 years. To say I am disappointed in their loyalty back is an understatement. Sad and disappointing the money I have wasted for no return. To be treated as such and never much of an incentive. This is a place that takes your money. That’s all they care about. They do not care about their customers.
I have been coming to Joanna Vargas for the past decade or so. Having visited aestheticians all around the world, I most definitely trust those I have met here most of all. Treatments, innovations, and products are all top. I owe any good skin I might have to my grandmother, sunscreen, and JV!
I cannot say enough good things about Joanna Vargas skin products and the company itself! Ever since I switched over to Joanna Vargas, I have seen a huge difference in my complexion. My skin is much brighter and smoother. My husband who never notices this stuff:) even commented on it along with a few friends. I swear by their eye cream, the Eden moisturizer, their cleanser, and body brush, and their exfoliating mask. I have to budget to buy the products, but they last a good amount of time, and theyve really made a difference. I feel like its money well spent. On top of that, the people who work at the company are spectacular. Ive contacted them a couple of times, and theyve responded immediately. I appreciated how they took my views into consideration and went out of their way to work with me. They made mention that they were a small business and really cared about their customers. I came away feeling like they were walking their talk, which is a refreshing experience to have with a business. All this to say: I love this company!
I had a terrible experience. My esthetician Andrea, was cold and stoic. As someone who has skin anxiety and who shared that with her, her tone and body language were distant and almost seemed to be borderline apathetic at times. Seemed like she was annoyed I kept asking questions about each step of my facial as well. She barely smiled at me. Her technical skills were good and my face felt good after, but the bedside manner was awful. I reported this to their office and will be requesting a warmer provider.
I live in Boston but got married in NYC and needed to get a facial before my wedding. I read on multiple publications/blogs that Joanna Vargas was the place to go for a facial before a big event. I knew I wanted a facial without extractions that would make my skin hydrated, glowy, and healthy for my wedding day. I have combination skin that tends to get dry in the fall/winter so wanted some pampering to prep my skin for makeup and photos.I did the Triple Crown Facial with Deanna and it was incredible! For starters, Deanna was so friendly and fun, and walked me through every step of the process so I knew what was happening. The facial itself was very gentle and relaxing - I was dozing off at one point - and the perfect vibe for a pre-wedding self care moment. Honestly afterward I didnt notice a HUGE difference in my skin, but it was actually as the day wore on that I noticed how much I was glowing and how hydrated my skin looked. I got my facial on a Thursday and my wedding was on Saturday so I was worried the effects wouldnt last, but my skin looked flawless for the next several days. I had a great canvas for my makeup, and I felt like it looked healthy and beautiful for the wedding. I will 100% be going back to Deanna for different services, and I would 100% recommend the Triple Crown Facial before a big event!
This was my first ever facial and I had the Triple Crown treatment. The front desk staff greeted me warmly and took my coat and offered me something to drink right away. My appointment was with Marlene and she was very friendly and explained the services in my package and asked me about my skincare routine and what I was looking to change. Her suggestions were practical and she told me the things that were most important to implement and additional ways to naturally improve the health of my skin. The products felt amazing and smelled so nice. I could immediately see the different after my treatment was finished. I will definitely be making this a part of my self-care regimen!

The women at the front working the desk are incredibly welcoming, kind, helpful, and lovely. I had a facial with Jane, and my mother had a facial with Stella. We are blown away by the results and plan on returning on a monthly basis. (We also loved it so much, we plan to try other treatments, in addition to the signature facial!). Best facial I’ve ever had! I’ve never had issues with my skin growing up but at 27 I started breaking out with adult acne after getting off of birth control... I went in for the triple crown facial twice, so far. The first time, my appointment was with Jane. She was very knowledgeable on skin care and helped advise me on how to keep my face looking healthy and to maintain the amazing after-facial glow she provided me with.My next time was with Anastasia, who was also very passionate about her job and seemed to not only be very interested in my skin care needs/ but was also eager to assist me with any concerns I had about my skin. I also went home with a moisturizer that is made with LAVA EXTRACTS! SO COOL!!Overall, both salon experiences were phenomenal and I definitely plan on returning, as I have made this my go-to skin care place! I walked out feeling like a newer fresher woman because I had received top treatment from such great staff. By far the best spot in New York! Anastasia is amazing, I do the Twilight and Triple Crown facials with her and have seen a noticeable difference. She is super sweet, never upsells, and always gives great advice. She does a really nice job analyzing your skin and recommending post-facial care routines, and is also just a lot of fun to talk to! I always leave feeling great, highly recommend to anyone looking for a facialist you can trust long-term.
I havent had many encounters with cosmetologists. The main reason being that I never saw the results I paid for. But at the Joanna Vargas Salon I felt it was the right fit from the minute I walked in. The receptionists were extremely attentive to me. They graciously welcomed me, offered me tea and even provided me information about various organic cosmetic products.I was extremely nervous because my skin is very thin and sensitive. But my cosmetologist for the day, Lena discussed my skin extensively and recommended a Triple Crown Facial, which I loved! Now my skin has a natural glow. It feels healthier and I can barely notice any wrinkles. After my facial I felt relaxed and refreshed. I bought the product recommended to me and scheduled appointments for the rest of the year! I have temperamental skin and am quite shy about having my pores looked at so closely by someone. On my first visit to Joanna Vargas Skincare, Joanna instantly made me feel at ease and I quickly forgot about my shyness. I found Joanna’s techniques gentle and I felt very relaxed during my facial. The organic skin care products used during my facial smelled and felt incredible. After my facial my skin felt clean, soft, and hydrated (it actually felt like my pores were breathing). My pores were free of blackheads and the stubborn blemishes I had before the facial healed within days after the facial. I like that the effects of the facial lasted long after the facial itself. The spa is a beautiful and relaxing environment and I found the staff friendly and professional.I love Joanna Vargas Skincare products and appreciate that the ingredients are natural. The Exfoliating Mask is one of my favorites as it keeps my pores unclogged without drying my skin.
Facials with Anastasia have completely transformed my skin! I always look forward to my appointments and find them so relaxing. Anastasia is so sweet and always very accommodating... especially when I am a little late to my appointments.I also love Joannas products. They are all natural and feel really good on my skin. I highly recommend trying them out!
Ive been struggling with acne and scarring for a couple of years. Ive tried everything from different spas, products, dermatologists and nothing worked until I met Anastasia. I started seeing a difference after only a month of working with her. Anastasia genuinely loves what she does and has her clients best interests at heart. She not only recommends the best facials for you but takes the time to ensure youre doing everything correctly at home to further your results. My skin has not felt nor looked this good in yearsss!! I just left Joanna Vargas Skin Care and I feel TRANSFORMED. It was such a relaxing and informative experience. I am someone who is very particular about my skin and have had experience with a variety of facials. When I first came here, I had an experience that left me needing some help with my skin. Joanna was immediately by my side day in and day out. She made sure I had all of the best products (her products are amazing; especially the rejuvenating serum!) and consistently checked my skin to treat it the best she could, and I quickly recovered with better skin than Ive ever had before. Now I come here to get the Triple Crowne Facial with Jessica and I could not be happier. My skin is moisturized, smooth, and looks more even toned than ever. My skin is at its best for weeks after I get this facial. Jessica is very skilled at what she does and the one hour facial is not only amazing for your skin but incredibly relaxing!I also have experience with the LED bed for 20 minute light therapy sessions which I swear by. It is basically magic for any irritations or marks on your skin - skin issues seem to heal almost overnight.Joanna is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares about her clients skin and overall well-being. Whenever I walk through the door I know Im in good hands. I completely trust Joanna and Jessica and look forward to each facial. Based on my experience with a lot of different spas and facials, I can honestly say this is my favorite place to go!
I visited the salon for the first time last week and it was the best facial I have ever had. I had a triple crown done by Stella and it was incredible. I was veryimpressed with the result. My skin looks amazing and it is glowing and I really look years younger. From the moment you walk to the lovely front desk you feel pampered in this exquisite environment. Stella is incredibly knowledgeable,professional and passionate about the products she uses and the treatments she carries out on each client. You can tell she truly believes in her work and loves what she does. She is lovely and makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed. What makes this place so unique is how they really take the time to make each experience a memorable and special one. I am looking forward to my next appointment.
Went for a triple crown facial with Asia. Was welcomed with a warm greeting, water, & warm tea from their front desk staff. They make you feel right at home!The facial itself was absolutely incredible! Loved the way the citrus mask smelled. She is very knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. I have been experiencing some pigmentation issues and she knew exactly how to address the problem. Very satisfied with my experience! Will definitely be back! I cant wait to try their other products!
Have been getting facials at Joanna Vargas for 3 years and have always felt these treatments are the most effective. I have gotten the Triple Crown Facial and the Supernova Facial - both are truly amazing and deliver on results in ways that most other facials do not. The staff is amazing, my go-to esthetician is Liz but all are great. Service is impeccable and products are also a great add on and work wonders (love the sheet masks!). Cannot recommend this place enough!
I have recently started using the Exfoliating Mask and the Daily Hydrating Cream from the Joanna Vargas line. I have to say that they are both excellent products. The mask leaves your face feeling really refreshed and soft and it is gentle enough to use every night. The daily cream feels really silky and soft and makes my face feel very soft and gentle. It also has a really nice light scent which I like. My face looks really soft, rejuvenated and has a nice healthy glow to it. I definitely recommend these two products and know that if you try them, you will be very happy with them.
Went in for a spray tan— my first time. I was really interested in the full body microderabrasion. It was awkward— the lights were completely on it wasn’t relaxing at all she was incredibly fast and didn’t take any time at all. My aesthetician seemed nice, but inexperienced. I waited for over 10 minutes to be taken to the “tanning room”. It was actually horrible! The tanning “tent” was in their STOCK ROOM. Boxes all around and a HUGE mirror right in front of you to watch it all happen which was horrific. I feel like they just slapped spray tan on their website and don’t put any thought or effort into the treatment itself. Super disappointed I can’t believe I spent the money on that. The tan wasn’t even GOOD. she didn’t spray parts of me it all looked off. Never going back
My esthetician is Sarah and she is absolutely amazing! I enjoyed the Oxygen Purifying Treatment as well as an LED light treatment. The facial was relaxing and wonderful in every way. My session in the LED bed was the best 20 minute nap of my life, but with a huge bonus: my skin was glowing--even days after the facial. The treatments at this spa are really like nothing you can receive elsewhere. Highly recommend!
The ambiance of the salon was very clean and quiet. The receptionists are very welcoming and spirited. I got the Triple Crown Facial treatment by Elena and she was very calm and informative. She asked me about my skin and what I do to take care of them. The whole facial was pleasant and Elena had the softest hands! The facial does not hurt at all, its just a very soothing experience. After the facial was done, Elena recommended me the Vitamin C Face Wash. After trying the face wash, i feel like it glows my skin after use and the smell of it is awesome(smells like citrus/fruity). I think the treatment shouldnt be a one time thing, people should keep coming to get their skin taken care of~
Ive been coming to Joanna Vargas for five years. Started with the triple crown facial and can tell you it is the best facial ever! And shes even topped that one with the Radio Frequency treatments. As a 45 year old woman, I take excellent care of my skin. These two treatments help turn back the hands of time by helping keep my wrinkles and fine lines in check. Ive also tried many skin care products and over the years have moved toward natural and organic products. Everything Ive bought at her salon has been very effective! Her house brand rejuvenating serum - cant imagine not having it! The Eminence products are incredible, especially the Acai firming moisturizer. All of the products have worked wonders for me! I have sent many of my girlfriends and a few guy friends to see Joanna and her incredibly talented team!
I already had high expectations of Joanna Vargas Spa before even getting there. The salon was spacious and clean and I immediately felt relaxed once I was seated. The staff was very welcoming as well. My aesthetician Lena was extremely amazing and professional and made me very comfortable throughout the treatment. I received the Triple Crown Facial which consisted of a three part process. The micro-dermabrasion was gentle and made my skin feel clean and fresh. Next, the micro current helped tighten my skin by stimulating the face muscles. It felt GREAT! The oxygen facial treatment was the icing on the cake. My skin was glowing and very noticeable after I was finished. I cant wait to go back for another treatment. Ive been using the Joanna Vargas exfoliating mask for a month now and I love it!
Update: First I would like to thank the salon for reaching out and inviting me back for another facial. I didnt want to let my first experience define my thoughts and I am so glad I didnt. This time my appt. was with Elena who is a master esthetician. She was SO sweet and made me feel so comfortable. The whole experience was extremely relaxing and I left on cloud 9. I am excited to go back and do appreciate JV for taking my feedback seriously.--------------------------------------I booked for the triple crown facial. I showed up on time for my appt. but waited a while to get checked in because both receptionists were checking people out. Finally they acknowledged me and my esthetician came out. Apparently I was supposed to fill out paper work but b/c of the check in delay we just started, beginning felt rushed. I appreciated the esthetician letting me know extractions werent included, however, then she kept apologizing for the music going in and out and the noise of the traffic (both things I didnt notice until she brought it up) honestly her questions and comments throughout the facial made it harder to relax. Overall, my skin feels smooth and glowy but I was a little disappointed in the customer service & overall experience. Im willing to give it another shot but I think Ill go with another facial.
Absolute magic! I just had my first Triple Crown Facial with the lovely Anastasia and could not be happier. Every aspect of the treatment and products were professionally explained throughout my appointment. My face has been beautifully sculpted and exfoliated, making me feel like queen. I’m so excited to come back and make this part of my regiment before any events!

Their services are wonderful (I first bought the purifying facial & then started the LED treatments), the staff is great & they are always really accommodating. Cant say enough about EV, shes the best and really helped me find a good routine to keep my skin hydrated and glowing. Ive been to many spas in NYC and this is by far the best, I highly recommend!
Ive been looking to get a facial done to prepare my skin for my wedding which is coming up in a few months. I went to Joanna Vargas for my first facial experience through a recommendation of my friend, and I couldnt have gone to a better place. I was nervous since my expectation was so high, but I see why celebrities come here all the time now. As soon as I walked in, I was pleasantly greeted by friendly receptionists, who hung my coat for me and offered tea while I shortly waited for my esthetician, Elena. (Just a side note, this place smells amazing... so smoothing and calming.) Elena was very courteous and kind. She answered all of my questions and explained every step of what she was doing, and why she was doing it, which gave me comfort knowing that she is an expert and she knew what she was doing. She further examined my skin and gave me advice on how to take care of my skin better with the skin care product line Joanna Vargas has, especially with dryness and sensitivity of my skin. The oxygen facial especially felt WONDERFUL. The cooling of the skin felt amazing and I can tell my skin was instantly hydrated, which gave it a flawless glow and silkiness. Elena highly recommended that I try using the Daily Hydrating Cream after my facial & I cannot wait until I try it and see the results! Overall, I highly recommend this place, whether if you are a regular or a first-timer. I cannot imagine getting better service or facial anywhere else.

Polite and professional staff will take care of you upon arrival. My facial specialist is Ulyana and I couldnt be happier with her. She took time to understand needs of my skin and results she delivers always leave me with WOW reaction. I recently had the Joanna Vargas experience and I was totally thrilled. I had tried her products before, and I was impressed by their freshness. My face felt baby soft and so smooth and radiant! The experience at her salon was even more wonderful! I had Sarah who is the MOST professional, knowledgeable and skilled facialist I have ever had. Her touch is so delicate, you dont even feel it! Her kind and lovely personality is an added plus!I also tried the LED light treatment, also the LED bed, and oh my, I could not believe the image in the mirror. I not only looked better, I even felt better!The girls at the front desk were very friendly, and before I knew it, they welcomed me with delicious truffles!I cannot wait to go back and double the experience!
First off I want to say that I felt a very warm and welcoming feeling when I entered Joannas suit. I have never had a facial before and I was kinda nervous. I didnt know what to expect and was out of my comfort zone. The receptionists at the front desk were very cordial and set me at ease. My esthetician Ulyana was extremely knowledgeable and she had a calming presence. I had heard extractions were very painful, but she had a soft touch and it was a seamless process. I also received an oxygen treatment and used the LED light bed. I have extremely oily skin and this experience really helped close my pores and sooth my skin. I am very happy with the results and I will certainly be coming back. Thank you very much to everyone at Joanna Vargas skin care.
This was my first facial in NYC. Did lots of research and although this one was expensive I decided it would be my best option. Very clean very kind people who work here. I was nervous because my esthetician didn’t really look at my skin but heard my concerns and originally had me for a triple crown but moved me to an oxygen facial. Samantha was amazing! Wow blown away by everything and she was knowledgeable across products and felt like I was getting free therapy! 4 days post facial my skin is healing (I had acne scarring) and I’m ready for another facial already! Highly recommend but keep in mind tips are cash only.
JANE IS THE BEST !!!!!!!! Honestly, everyone there is amazing as well. As soon as I entered, I felt so calm and happy. It’s a beautiful office and I can’t wait for my second appointment. Truly the best facial I have ever had and I am so thankful. I originally planned for The Triple Crown but after inspecting my face, Jane came up with a different course of action and I am so glad she did. She really knew what she was doing. I booked Triple Crown with Master aesthetician. After the session, I purchased a package of 3 sessions. On the day of the second session my appointment was cancelled due to the aesthetician’s “personal emergency.” After texting back and forth with spa staff, I was offered an bed LED light as a gift to be used during next session. When I tried to reschedule my appointment for next week, the place was fully booked. I am a very busy person and can make it to the spa only on Fridays or Saturdays. So I would have to wait unknown time to be accommodated and to redeem my sessions. Needless to say, I am extremely dissatisfied with service and have asked for a refund.

Firstly, I love Joannas products. Her Vitamin C face wash is the best product Ive ever used on my face! I have normal to oily skin and most products either make my face too dry, or I dont find it to actually do anything. They offer very friendly service with a newly renovated environment. As a man I feel very comfortable and welcome there. Highly recommend!
Ariana is friendly and attentive to my specific skin care needs. I have a long history with eczema and she always selects the right products and makes appropriate treatment recommendations so my skin feels calm and relaxed rather than angry and irritated. While she does educate me on products that may have beneficial qualities for my skin, she is not a product pusher. I always look forward to the next facial, not only because how my skin looks and feels afterwards but because it is an overall lovely experience.
I first came to Joanna Vargas with quite a few skin concerns thanks to my stressful and hectic work schedule. My skin was dry, tired and breakout prone leaving a million unsightly scars. From my first visit I knew I came to the right place. My esthetician EV carefully listened to me and assessed my skin. Her first comment to me was that of reassurance, which being a physician myself I value the most. She proceeded on to make a skin care and dietary regimen for me which I followed religiously over the next 4 weeks before my follow up visit and I saw dramatic changes. I was impressed by the simplicity of her approach and her focus on my diet rather than push expensive skin care products on me. She started off simple and later introduced me to the best skin care line I have ever used and have fallen in love with ever since. Each time I visit the salon I am impressed at how much Eve remembers each and every product I have used in the past before giving me a suggestion to use the next one. Every now and then I get busy and cannot take care of my skin as I should but when I go back Eve gently reminds me and brings me back on track. I am very happy I discovered Joanna Vargas salon, this is the best treatment I have ever given my skin and I am sure I am a client for life.

Had a second amazing visit to Joanna Vargas Skin Care. After stepping off the streets of Midtown, it is so nice to be welcomed into the spa with a cup of water and friendly faces. This time I chose the oxygen facial because I have acne prone skin. Sarah (who was wonderful) did some extractions and even used blue light on my skin - and a few days later all my problem areas had cleared. She sent me home with a few tips and a face mask - cant wait to go back!
The Joanna Vargas salon in NYC is amazing! I went in for my first facial with master aesthetician Anastasia and got their famous triple crown facial. Anastasia was amazing and really welcoming and explained every step of the facial whilst it still being relaxing and I was able to take a little nap. I am obsessed with the micro-current part of the facial and saw results instantly; I highly recommend! I also love all the serums and masks that were applied; my face felt hydrated and plump!! I cant recommend this facial enough and have already booked in my next facial appointment! P.s. the JV Skincare Vitamin C cleanser is ah-ma-zing! Cant wait to be back at JV for my facial with the incredible Anastasia! 5/5!!
Ive had facials before and thought they were great until I came to this place. It is top of the line and worth every penny. The waiting room is amazing, they warmly great you and offer you a beverage. I had Sarah and she is the KINDEST (and gentlest which is good for a facial! :)) person in the world. It has been eons since I got my last and she didnt make me feel bad about it at all. I started talking when she first started and she bantered then I said sorry for talking a lot and she was so cool, she mentioned she loves to talk if thats what I wanted but she didnt mind being silent too: it was up to me. My last facial at oasis day spa the lady talked my ear off and all I felt after was exhaustion. Anyway, the products smell amazing, the whole thing felt amazing! And I looked amazing after. Prob if u go ask for Sarah she is so so so good but at a place like this it prob doesnt matter . Definitely will be going back, it was such an amazing experience that everyone should at least try once.
This was my very first facial, and everything about the experience was incredible! First, the salon itself was gorgeous, and everyone working there was extremely friendly and helpful. I felt very welcome and comfortable right away. I got my facial from Elizabeth C., who was simply fantastic. I swear she has magic hands! She was very knowledgable and graciously answered my many questions. She tailored the facial for my specific needs, and I must say that I left feeling and looking great! I had my first facial with a lovely lady I had met at a show, Monica! Amongst walking in with a lot of anxiety because my skin is uber sensitive and I had a rash prior to going in everything felt and was incredibly rejuvenating. My skin after the mask and red light felt brand new and really really made me feel a lot better about myself and honestly just looked a million times better. Monica was super sweet we literally talked about everything so if youre reading this review its 10000% worth going in for a treatment. Monica you the MVP.
When I went for my first facial at Joanna Vargas salon, I considered it an extravagant indulgence. But the experience was so special and the result was so good that I decided I had to do it regularly.The atmosphere at the salon is calm and inviting. The young ladies at reception are delightful. Joanna is so knowledgeable and easy to be with. Being pampered by someone with such grace and confidence makes me feel very special. Ive been to many of the best spas in the city, but often felt they were a little cold. Here it is very personal - time stands still and its all about you.I love the products she uses. They smell and feel great. She uses a micro current wand that does some kind of magic--I feel like it gives whatever is under my skin a workout and the result is not just topical but seems deeper. Its not just the skin that looks younger but some kind of anti-gravity thing is going on with my whole face afterwards. My face looks younger and healthier and somehow more defined.I love the skin care products she uses and bought the face wash which I love.
Elizabeth is extraordinary! From the moment I walked into the spa I was impressed. The decor is gorgeous and the staff looked beautiful. Everyone at the reception desk was friendly and professional. Elizabeth gave me the Triple Crown Facial, and it was hands down the best facial I have ever had. She was extremely knowledgable about products and the machines she used on me. After the facial she handed me a mirror and I was blown away by the results. After just an hour, Elizabeth managed to make my skin positively glow. I went home with two products, and I will most certainly be back!
I had my first triple crown facial with extractions with Monica today and she is a serious miracle worker! I’ve been struggling with hormonal acne/congested pores lately, and I finally feel like my skin can breathe! My pores are squeaky clean, my skin hydrated and glowy. Monica is very knowledgeable and went into great detail describing every step of the facial and the benefits, and answered all skincare questions I had with confidence. She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. I am so thankful to have been in such good hands, and I can’t wait to book my next facial with her.
JV Skincare is the place to go if you want flawless skin. I have trusted the girls at the JV salon since I began getting facials - If it wasnt for them, I cant even imagine what state my face would be in. I get the oxygen purifying facial which works so well at clearing up my skin and preventing future breakouts. Every time I get a facial, my skin stays healthy for weeks to come. Jessica and Elena excel at extractions and the ladies at the front desk are so lovely. Since I recently moved to California I havent been able to get facials as much as I used to but I still use JV products to help in between treatments and they really work - I highly recommend the exfoliating mask, the cleanser (which smells AMAZING) and the rejuvenating serum.
Ive been coming to Joanna Vargas and seeing Melissa for about a year and a half. Im faithful to a schedule of a monthly Triple Crown Facial followed by a 20-minute session under the LED Bed Light -- once I saw the results (which last up to three weeks) how could I not be? I feel more confident in my glowing skin, and, this past summer, I noticed my face, arms and neck was far less prone to redness and burns (a byproduct of the LED sessions). Recently I began the eight-week Forever Facial, and after three weeks, I find my jawline is much more pronounced. I cant wait to see the results after the eighth and final week! The whole staff at the salon always make me feel welcomed and relaxed upon arrival. And Melissa herself isnt just a skilled facialist, shes one of the loveliest humans you will ever meet. Ive recommended the salon to countless friends and celebrities I interview, and Ill continue to do so.
Omg BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!I went to get the triple crown treatment but the lady that attended me recommended me first a cleaning to unclog my pores, I was really scared because I have had cleanings before in other spas and they always ended up damaging my skin a lot, I was worried of waking up the next day super swollen and with red spots but this was totally the opposite they were super gentle with my skin, all the products they use are amazingly good! My skin today even looks younger and nourished. Definitely coming back next month to continue my treatment.
This place is a goldmine for what its worth. Incredibly professional yet as hospitably welcoming as New Yorks finest luxury hotels. I was unsure what to expect as this was my first time coming to Joanna Vargas, however, the vast knowledge of the staff made me feel very comfortable as we addressed my concerns about my skin. Elaina was my esthetician and right off the bad I felt welcomed like I had been a regular for years. She had a solution for every concern I had and provided me with multiple options on how to address them and even worked with me to fine something that should provide the results Im looking for. Very impressed and definitely plan to reschedule with her.
The Oxygen Purifying Facial at Joanna Vargas had come highly recommended by friends, but I was reluctant to have strangers touching my skin. But my skin was in serious need of deep extractions that I couldt accomplish at home, so I was lucky to be paired with Sarah, one of Joannas best aestheticians. She was friendly, knowledgeable, kind and really cared about my comfort as a professional facial virgin. Just the greatest bedside manner which means Ill definitely return to see her specifically!! It was all the pampering attention and care youd expect from an upscale spa. The products applied were featherweight and all natural with great aromatherapy. And the fine oxygen mist was really relaxing. My skin felt much lighter and softer when it was over like serious weight had been lifted. Thanks JV!!
Joanna Vargas Salon is the closest thing to heaven on earth! The quality of both services and products are exceptional. I was treated like royalty by Liz and the girls at the front desk, who are lovely young ladies and it was an absolute pleasure to deal with. This was my first time, but it definitely will not be my last-- the oxygen purifying facial is just too good to only experience once.
One of the best facials Ive gotten in years! They are very punctual. Clean facility. Very friendly staff. I was greeted by a beautiful sweetheart esthetician named Anastasia. Shes AMAZING at her job made me feel super relaxed. The treatment performed was the Joanna Vargas signature Triple crown facial. I cant believe in one session, it significantly reduced the appearance of fine lines and the undereye bags from all those countless sleepless hours. Not only does Anastasia perform your facial, she gives you a lot of helpful tips on how to achieve healthy skin and maintain it. Immediately after my facial I went into the LED bed light. This you probably need few sessions to see real results but it was so relaxing I fell asleep :) Not to worry, the light shuts off automatically after 20 minutes. This LED bed brings down inflammation, reducing cellulite, indigestion and bloating great at healing wounds! So excited to try it again! They sent me off with CV skin lab calming lotion which is light and airy with all natural and superior ingredients along with Joanna Vargas eye cream which smells absolutely heavenly. Not like the other spas who tries to sell you 100 products you probably dont really need. I think I found my new favorite spa!
I went to Joanna Vargas yesterday and I received the RF facial. It was my first time and it was incredible! The esthetician Krystal was amazing! She was go gentle and explained the entire process thoroughly. I couldnt believe the results immediately after she had finished. All of the small lines and wrinkles had softened and I looked like I had walked into the fountain of youth! After the RF facial I went into the red light therapy bed and today I can visibly see all of the abnormal pigmentation in my skin significantly lessned. I would recommend Krystal and Joanna Vargas Skin Care to anyone!
I have been testing Joannas Vitamin C Face Wash and Daily Serum. The face wash has a wonderful citrus scent and is so refreshing! It cleanses my skin without drying it out.The serum is very light and sinks right into my skin. It leaves my skin glowing and soft. After using it for a couple of weeks I have noticed that my skin is smoother and a bit tighter. I am excited to continue using it to see what results I will see.
The facials are Joanna Vargas are great. I have been going to Sarah for years and would never go to another. Sarah only wants the best for me and my skin. I always leaving feeling like a brand new woman. She takes her time with me and gives really good insights that pertain to my skin. I feel like a billion bucks every time you walk out. They recently moved into a great new space. There is a elevator that goes pretty much directly to their floor. The girls in the front are super helpful and pleasant. Joanna Vargas spa is the best spa I have been to. They pay special attention to each and every single detail.
The many five star ratings are a little deceiving so I decided it was only fair to make sure other potential customers know what they sign up for. The quality of the facial itself is not bad. The cheapest facial is nothing special and not worth paying $175 for. The triple crown and supernova were better but the biggest issue this salon has is the upsell method. 90% of the duration of the facial, the specialists talk about which products you need to buy and all their benefits. I dont mind a little introduction to their product line but the constant push for products completely ruins the facial. Im a very easy going person but this even made me uncomfortable and I never felt relaxed or refreshed after the facials for this reason. It would make all the difference if they would stop doing this and only recommend products at the end of the session like other high-end beauty salons.
Anastasia is TRULY an angel. I have been coming to see her since the salons reopened (before that too) and there is a noticeable difference in how healthy my skin looks. My friends are all commenting on it! She does a great job getting to know your skin and customizes the treatments to exactly what you need. Its also such a luxurious experience, it is a highlight of my month!
I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. My facial with Elizabeth Cintron was extremely relaxing, such a beautiful way to start my day. Elizabeth was very informative with every product she was using. Organic, natural, lovely products. The microdermabrasion was not like any type that I had done before. It felt amazing especially with an oxygen mask to follow. Elizabeth made my experience at Joanna Vargas, I will definitely come back again.
There simply are not enough words to describe the facial I received today at Joanna Vargas! I had the Oxygen Purifying Facial, by Sarah. From the moment I walked in, I felt luxurious. Everyone on staff is welcoming and friendly. I feel like Sarah taught me how to properly wash my face. She was so gentle but meticulous (I had quite a few blemishes). I felt so incredibly relaxed and calm. I, of course, fell asleep. Which is such a nice break from NYC life. The results were amazing. I havent had a facial in over a year and you would never know it to look at my skin. There was barely any redness (and I needed a lot of extractions). My skin looked and felt AMAZING. I absolutely love Sarah and the care she took of my skin. I recommend Joanna Vargas to everyone. The products feel like silk. I am so happy with my facial and the results. Thank you, Sarah!!! I just had the Triple Crown Facial with the lovely Anastasia at Joanna Vargas. Being a dude, this was my first facial experience and Anastasia not only made me feel so welcome and comfortable being a newbie getting a facial, but I also learned so much from her. She explained everything she was doing and actually made it fun / easy for me to understand. I didn’t know what to expect honestly (my gf sent me here as a v-day gift) and I was so beyond relaxed I almost fell asleep. On top of that, my skin does look incredibly fresh and I feel great. I’ll definitely be coming back - thank you Anastasia!
Received my first facial the other day and I definitely do not regret it. I was quite hesitant at first, but my aesthetician, Evie, made me feel comfortable and relieved. She explained everything throughout the facial and informed me of how to take care of my skin. The specific treatment that I received was the Oxygen Purifying facial and the LED bed light. In addition, Evies extractions were not painful at all and I was not left with any red marks on my face. She always asked me if the amount of pressure was okay and it was actually pretty relaxing. After the facial, my face felt clean and my pores were unclogged. The place itself is very elegant and has a serene atmosphere. Furthermore, I was recommended the Vitamin C face wash because all i needed was a natural cleanser that could also remove makeup and not leave my skin feeling dry. I absolutely cannot wait to try it. Ive been a client of this salon for years, and Anastasia is the best! I usually get the Forever Facial or Triple Crown and Vitalight, whatever is appropriate for my skin that day...shell make a recommendation after careful inspection. Ive been getting facials for at least 15 years, and Ive found that many aestheticians are overly aggressive with skin...not the case here. You can tell Anastasia is really passionate about skin care, and she gives great advice about skincare regimens, products (and other stuff!). I get so many compliments on my skin! Highly recommend, if you can get an appointment with her!!
My ex-colleague started working at the Joanna Vargas Salon and had mentioned how great her bosses vitamin c face wash was, so I decided to give it a try. I hate washing my face but she said I should take baby steps and try the face wash. She was right as always, I committed to washing my face when I shower and definitely feel the difference. Even my girlfriend loves the smell and uses it herself. I even booked my first facial ever at the end of the month to see what else I can do to improve.
Im a new yorker. Ive lived in the city for almost 11 years. Im originally from the mid west and have a salon/spa background in massage therapy. Ive had a lot of facials, at many different places. This is one of the best! The environment is very calm and relaxing. The staff is knowledgeable and very attentive. I see Sarah Brady for all of my services. Not only is she an amazing esthetician but she truly is a skin care specialist.Any products she recommends have always been great and exactly what I needed.The pricing is average for Manhattan. Its a little high for the suburbs but you definitely get what you pay for. I highly recommend this salon to all my friends and family.
I cant recommend the Joanna Vargas salon enough! I had only had a few facials in the past but after coming to Joanna Vargas I was completely hooked. I honestly Im so happy to come every time and leave even happier and full of good advice for taking care of my skin. The staff are so nice and incredibly helpful! Their products are also amazing. My cousin has been raving about how she is in love with this new skincare product line she started using, so I decided to give it a try. Im hesitant when trying new products because my skin is combination, super dry in certain areas and oily in others. I love the rejuvenating serum from the Joanna Vargas Skincare line. No matter how much cream, lotion, or moisturizer I apply I always need to re-apply. But with this product, one application was enough to leave my cheeks super moisturized and dewy. If the product is this good I can only imagine how great the facials are. I cant wait to book my first visit to the salon!

Id just like to say this place is amazing!! I have received many facials at multiple location but Joanna Vargas by far exceeded my expectation. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, but not In a way in which it seemed like their job. I immediately sensed a warm comforting atmosphere. The facial itself was the best I have ever received. Every treatment was explained to me in great detail which I thought was very good in a sense that I will know what will work for me my next visit and you better believe there will be a next visit. Id highly recommend receiving a facial here if you want to experience great customer service, professionalism and if you just want to leave with lively vibrant skin.
I honestly didnt know what to expect when I had scheduled this appointment, I never had a facial nor cared about skincare. My skincare regimen is soap, water, and cetaphil. Sarah was my facialist and she was really nice and patient. She was very knowledgeable and explained each step, I was originally scheduled for the Triple Crown Facial, but after the consultation she recommended I receive the Oxygen Purifying Facial. I liked how she recommended an exfoliating wash to start and I look forward to coming back in a couple months.

Best facial ever! I had the Triple Crown facial with Krystal who is warm, caring and very knowledgable. The results are stunning. My jaw line and chin are noticeably firmer and less saggy AND my chin/neck area is so much more comfortable without the saggy skin. My skin is still glowing 2 days later. I am thrilled.
I had an oxygen purifying facial from Anastasia and had a great experience. It was calming while informative and I think that was what made me feel comfortable throughout the session. This was my first facial and I felt that I could do this again due to Anastasia being very welcoming. She recommended me the daily hydrating cream and is something I would consider using.
I am a huge fan of EVERTHING at the Joanna Vargas Salon from my warm interactions with the front desk girls (Hi Christine! :)) to the facials themselves to their wonderful products. It is never too early to start an anti-aging skin routine and I feel like the Triple Crown facial is a great way to get started. You leave with your skin looking clean, smooth, tight and dewy. My sister, who I only see once a year, noticed a change in my skin when I started doing the Triple Crowns consistently. I recently started the RF facials which is a great compliment to the Triple Crown and leaves my skin feeling tight and plump. The products they use are organic and all natural which is important to me. I love the JV Rejuvenating Serum and Eye Cream. The Eminence line is all organic and smells amazing. Jessica is an amazing esthetician. She is sweet and super knowledgable about a variety of skin related things like facial massage. She recommends great products for me but is never ever pushy which I greatly appreciate.I have tried many facials and salons over the years but I am sticking with the JV Salon for the long haul.
I got the Triple Crown Facial, for which I got a 3-pack deal on Gilt. NO regrets whatsoever. I absolutely loved Gina! I have really, really sensitive skin and anxiety as well. She also knew about how my personal medical conditions may affect my skin (PCOS, etc.) So she went over the entire process in a lot of detail and asked me how I felt with the application of each product of my facial. When I felt uncomfortable with one of the products, she wiped it off completely and cleansed my face entirely. Afterwards, I was shocked at how my skin looked and felt. I made 2 future appointments with her on my way out of the salon! Thank you.
Before I started coming to the Joanna Vargas Salon I had just lost 60lbs and felt great but was still ashamed of my body when I realized the stretch marks I was left with. I tried every cream you could think of but nothing worked. I heard about Joanna Vargas and her patented LED bed and decided to give it a try.When I walked into the Joanna Vargas Salon it was like walking into an oasis on 5th Avenue. The space is beautiful and relaxing and the staff warm and welcoming.Over a couple of months I noticed a dramatic change and there was a visible difference in the stretch marks all across my stomach, back and legs. In addition to that, my skin was glowing and still is! I also noticed that overall there were less and less wrinkles on my face.Joanna and her staff made me feel so comfortable coming to the salon and helped me with my problem I had nearly given up on. The Triple Crown Facial at Joanna Vargas is not to be missed!Jessica, at the NYC location, completely impressed with every aspect of this facial experience! Jessica was sweet, funny and a total professional. She was so knowledgeable! The triple crown facial consists of microdermabrasion, microcurrent treatment and finally, oxygen infusion therapy. Jessica took her time with everything but I was most impressed with the time the aestheticians take for the microcurrent (which- to those that might ask- does not hurt at all! Every aspect of this facial was really relaxing)- Jessica did two, yes TWO rounds on my whole face to lift and tighten...like a gym for your face! I left feeling like I had the most sculpted cheekbones in history.The oxygen infusion was equally impressive- this tool sprays a super fine mist of hydrating serum onto the skin while oxygen is pushed out and into your skin. Its an incredibly refreshing experience- especially in this NYC summer heat!The hour long treatment flew by but was never rushed- it was truly a relaxing treat! The rooms are big and spacious and overlook Bryant Park...everything about my experience was just lovely.Would one hundred percent recommend the JV team to everyone!

Joanna Vargas has done wonders for my skin. Not only do I love their products, but Melania has been so instrumental in calming down and rejuvenating my skin. She tailors each facial to whatever state my skin is in. Beyond helping create custom skin routines based on my skin type, she was also extremely helpful during my pregnancy when my skin was breaking out like crazy. I have very sensitive skin and have tried to see NYC dermatologists multiple times. But no one has been able to help resolve my skin issues like Melania. Worth the investment 100%.
The best place EVER!!!I have been coming for years now, and I love this place. Everybody is always so nice, and attentive. I started with Joanna, and after some resistance (I mean, who wants to stop letting Joanna work on their face? She has the softest hands!), I let her convince me to start working with Melissa, and boy am I glad she did. Melissa is FANTASTIC! I have been working with her for years, and I wont go to anyone else. Not only is she excellent at her job (my face always look fantastic!), but she is the nicest, sweetest person you want to meet. She always pays close attention to whats happening with my skin, and treats every problem. Plus, she listens to all my stories, and who doesnt want that?? Lol. Overall, a great place, very relaxing and comforting, and they really know their stuff. My skin always look great; it is maturing, and the Triple Crown facial does wonders for the sagging and dryness my skin is starting to show. And as the days go by, everything Melissa did sets in, and my face looks better and better. I HIGHLY recommend Joanna Vargas Skin Care, and Melissa. Just dont try and steal her from me! Lol.
I have gone to Jonna Vargas for a couple of years now. Never have I experienced such impeccable service at every step of the way. The experience once you walk in doesn’t compare, the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, they know their stuff. All of the aestheticians are amazing, especially Marina. Their coordinators and Kayla are amazing as well, helpful to no end and extremely responsive. The treatments themselves are incomparable as are her products, of which I own them all and constantly give as gifts. I can not recommend Joanna Vargas skincare at any higher scale, and I can’t wait for her future products and books to come out! Do yourself and more importantly your skin the favor and turn to Joanna.
The place is nice. I bought a gilt for the oxygen facial after the woman on the phone convinced me that it was worth it vs the regular facial. Honestly for the price I was not impressed. There was brief scrubbing, extractions and maybe one mask? Once I finished the girl at the desk was pushing HARD for me to make another appointment and sign up for a package. After a few times I finally said you’re really pushing the sale, and she’s like we’re just trying to help you. If I was interested in another appointment, I would have made one. I would never pay $250 for what I had today. Even the gilt price I feel was not worth it at all. I’ve had way better facials elsewhere for half the price.Following up on my review: 5 days later and my skin looks HORRIBLE. I now have an infected extremely painful area of the skin which was totally fine prior to going in for my facial. I’m honestly embarrassed to go in public looking like this. Beware if booking a facial here!!

Friends always ask what Ive been doing with my skin.... this spa along with all of Joannas products are the answer. Her exfoliating mask and all her facial masks are my favorite. I have tried every brand and facial out there, and these are the absolute best. Facials and products are a MUST TRY!
I feel like words couldn’t possible do Shane of Joanna Vargas the justice he deserves. I’ve been going to Shane for about two years now, and my skin simply has not stopped glowing.I have combination skin that is quite sensitive and prone to congestion. Every time I’ve gone to an esthetician at other salons, my skin always had some sort of reaction to products used or general flare ups post treatment (not to mention being pushed products that are expensive and not meant for my skin type). Shane revamped my skincare routine and gave me a glow I couldn’t achieve with even the biggest of Sephora hauls. His in depth knowledge and attention to detail makes him a reliable and obvious choice.Every experience I’ve had at JV has been nothing short of amazing, and Shane is my top pick by far. After my 3rd facial with him I decided that he’ll be my go to, so much so that I’m debating flying from NYC to the LA location for some sun and a facial by Shane. My only advice: if he has an opening, book it. His calendar fills up abnormally fast.

Today I got a triple crown facial with Audrey for the first time ever and it was AMAZING! I was a bit worried when I walked into the building because it seems kind of old, but once I walked into their spa it’s so welcoming and clean. All their staff was friendly, their waiting area was cozy, and they offered me tea while I waited. Once I got into my robe and my facial was going to start, Audrey explained how the facial works and what it does. The facial started out with microdermoabrasion, which exfoliated dead skin cells from my skin. After she went on to a procedure called microcurrent, which I had never heard nor had done before on my skin. This part basically shocks your skin on the inside to contract your muscles and tone the skin (no pain I promise). Audrey did half of my face and then showed me with a mirror, I was amazed with the instant results! I sometimes retain liquids so this was able to get rid of it from my face and tone it immediately. The last step consisted of oxygen with vitamins in it all over my face. Audrey then went on and applied Joanna Vargas organic serum, moisturizer, and SPF to finish off. I was very happy with my results and I can’t wait to get my next one.
I just had my first facial at Joanna Vargas and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere is so relaxing - I was already in pure bliss when I put on the soft facial robe and got cozy on the table. Everything is SUPER clean and well kept. Melissa, my esthetician, was fantastic. She looked at my skin thoroughly and advised what she thought would be the best facial for my skin type. We went with the Triple Crown Facial, which includes a microcurrent which basically sculpts your face, and it was like nothing I have ever had before. She did one side of my face first, showing me the difference and it really was incredible. It was the perfect balance of everything - microdermabrasion, the microcurrent and various masks, each one providing a completely different feeling. My esthetician had such a gentle touch so as she massaged the masks into my face, I dozed off into complete relaxation. She made me feel comfortable, kept me informed and addressed all my concerns. I highly recommend!
Have had two Triple Crown facials and this past time a Supernova facial with master aesthetician Anastasia, and it was a magic experience that left real visible results. Theres exfoliation & steaming & a thick heavy-hitter collagen mask & massage & serums & microcurrent & cryotherapy, which feels like a gentle winter against your skin. Theres relaxing music and Anastasia was wonderful about sometimes explaining what was happening and offering useful suggestions, and sometimes letting me sink into the experience. It was the best facial Ive had and I left with visibly hydrated plumper skin.

Ive had many facials but this one was the best Ive had so far. Ulyana is very skilled and gentle with her technique, and your skin will be glowing by the end of the session. She also has a lot of knowledge and recommendations for your specific skin type, so I would recommend her to anyone who wants to better their skin regimen.
I have been seeing Anastasia for months and she is truly the reason I come here! My skin has gone through many changes—horribly acne prone, to starting on accutane and being incredibly dry and sensitive, and coming off of accutane. Her exfoliater is the best one out there and gives you immediate results.Joanna and her staff are very interested in getting you the results that you want in a caring, professional way. I have been going to Elena at JV for almost a year now & I cant tell you how much I look forward to my treatments every 2 months. Not only is Elena a great facialist but she has mastered the balance of chatting/relaxation - she engages & is super friendly but she knows when to give you quiet time & let you relax. I am a highly anxious/stressed person & I am so, so relaxed when I leave. And thats just the extra! My skin has dramatically improved since seeing Elena regularly. My dark spots/scars have become lighter & lighter & my acne, though mild to begin with, is almost nonexistent. For the last two weeks, I have been using Joanna Vargas facial products, including the Vitamin C Cleanser, the Exfoliating Mask, the Daily Serum, and the Daily Moisturizer. At first, I was skeptical that the results from these products would justify the price tag. All of that skepticism is gone now, as my skin looks better than it ever has before. After just a few days, I noticed that my skin was markedly softer and smoother, and after about a week, my normally red and patchy skin was even, moisturized, and calm. The cleanser smells amazing, and the Daily Serum feels *so* good when patted onto clean, damp skin. Though it doesnt mention it on the label, the Daily Moisturizer has SPF in it, making it an incredibly versatile moisturizer that I can wear day-to-day without worry. Though I think these products achieve the best results when used together, if youre hesitant I would go for the cleanser and serum at first, because those products are basically flawless. If youre in the New York City area,I would definitely try to make it in for a facial - Id be willing to bet that afterwards, youll be convinced to take her products home. Cant say enough great things about these products - my skin will be forever grateful!
Had my first facial EVER with Joanna Vargas and was blown away! Had the Supernova Facial by Valentina and most definitely will be back. Highly recommend if looking for an experienced and professional esthetician in NYC at a beautiful spa.
I just recently received Joanna Vargas Skin Care products as a gift! I am completely amazed. My two most favorite products are her Daily Serum and Rejuvenating Serum. The Daily Serum makes my skin so soft and youthful. As soon as you put it on, the serum absorbs into your skin and you can feel the difference and softness. The Rejuvenating Serum is amazing. I have completely replaced my night cream with the Rejuvenating Serum. I use it every night before bed and wake up to bright, plump, and moisturized skin. It has a calming scent that is perfect for bedtime. I would definitely recommend these products to others. I plan on gifting them to some friends and family as well!
I have been going to Joanna Vargas Skin Care Salon for just about a year. It is not only an incredibly pleasant & professional experience but the results are outstanding. I always have a triple crown facial and LED light treatments. It has made my skin look 10 years younger. I use to go to Joanna Vargas every year for 6-9 sessions a year; for the last 4-5 years.I called today in the morning and asked the front desk agent to send me by email their current packages so I can choose something and start my sessions for this year. She took all my info even though I am already in their system and mentioned shell send their current deals over to my email.Its past 5 hours and I did not receive any email yet, so I called again to be answered by another agent that said with her broken English that she doesnt understand me and that shell check it out with the other agent. She put me on hold and just transferred me to the other one , to whom I had to repeat the same information over again twice so that finally she would ask me ,, what packages are you interested in? God ! Facial current packages ! What is that difficult to be assisted????This place deserves 5 star appreciation , but their front desk ladies make it so much difficult for this to happen.I just had to give up and end the conversation than to deal with so much unprofessionalism.
Firstly the salon is in an amazing location, its not too big were you feel intimidated when walking in and the staff are lovely and friendly and helped me pick out the products I wanted. I am a huge fan of the exfoliating mask, it has completely cleared my acne. I have had adult acne for years and this is the only product that has worked. It smells divine, is a lovely texture and makes my skin look amazing, not only has it cleared my skin, the texture has impoved, fine lines and pores. I have also used the Eden face masks which are equally as lovely.
I have such respect for the team here, they have created a serene, calm, and lovely experience from beginning to end. Cant say enough about Joannas products as well, from the masks to the face wash and the game changing exfoliating mask. Make an appointment and go as fast as you can! I cant wait to get back there on my next trip to NYC.
My friend recommended me to Joanna Vargas Skin Care and specifically highly recommended master esthetician, Anatasia. The NYC location is across from Bryant Park overlooking 5th Ave. When you arrive, you are greeted people to check you in - Jessie is super welcoming and friendly. As for the facials ... I have tried many services with Anatasia - Purifying Facial, Super Nova, their signature treatment (Triple Crown), and Forever facials and love all of them! Anatasia is always on time. I never have to wait, and this is important to me as time is precious. She is very knowledgeable in both the services and products. She is able to simplify and educate me in the terminology used for the facial process using mnemonics. For example, the Super Nova and Triple Crown uses microcurrent. She would say that the “m” in microcurrent is for muscle because microcurrent works the muscles. For treatments with cyrotherapy, the “c” stands for cool, circulation and collagen. In addition, I have several Joanna Vargas products that Anatasia has recommended and effective - exfoliating mask, rejuvenating serum which smells so good, rescue serum, cream, eminence neroli age corrective hydrating mist that also smells really good, and super nova serum. My favorites are the exfoliating mask, rejuvenating serum and rescue serum (great under makeup) - which have all natural ingredients. I have recently purchased the eye masks, lift masks and the vitamin c wash that I am looking forward to using. I highly recommend Anatasia! See you tomorrow for the Forever Facial!
Obviously this place has an amazing presence . Located in midtown in a very picturesque location right across from Bryant park this place is like no other . Clean ,beautiful .You are going up to the third floor and you instantly greeted by a friendly receptionist girls who check your temperature and checking you in .Now let me move straight to my personal skin journey so you can understand fully why I would never go anywhere else but here .After loss of my mother and going through series of chemo and two surgeries my skin hit the rock bottom at 36 ….I dont think I would be even able to describe the condition of my skin when I first was seen by my esthetician Samantha . Prior I saw 8 dermatologist and maybe 5 different skin care specialists who all screamed at once “ Its all hormonal ! We can help you and we will bring your skin to the next level “ ….Well first of all all those promises brought me pain , feeling of being hopeless and developing a PTSD after what I saw daily in the mirror as things were not getting better . Bottom line for me was when this “reputable “ dermatologist goes “ Well , we did everything we could here …The only option that’s left -Accutane “ . Im sure if you are like me and managed medical aesthetics practice for years you are familiar with Accutane as a medication . You are familiar with its long and short term side effects . Meanwhile my skin was weird but nobody listened to me . Yes I do have business degree but I also have esthetics license and prior coming to the US I used to be an esthetician for years overseas .So even though I couldnt help myself because at that point my issue was a multifactorial I knew it wasn’t just my “Oily hormonal skin” that was an issue . I had a feeling it was my severely damaged barrier after using oral and topical antibiotics , harsh exfoliants that were prescribed to me by dermatologists (and some neurological issues I had address after loss of my mother ) .I am so thankful to Joanna Vargas spa and in particular Samantha , my esthetician . I wont let anyone touch my skin but her .From her approach to her extraction technique she is a brilliant skin care specialist . She guided me through at home care and I am super thrilled that now I can purchase Babor brand which works magic on my skin along with Sams magical hands . I also had a pleasure meeting Stella who consulted me on the next step : acne scar removal , dressing texture . This place is highly professional when it comes to more invasive procedures like micro needling , radio frequency etc . Im telling you , just go see for yourself and you will be forever hooked . In the world where now word “esthetics” is associated with just surface /machine/wand movement (aka pathetic Hydrafacla machine etc ) this place still carries old traditional approaches of hands on massages , extractions but also with help if innovative devises and procedures .
Ive been coming to this place for a while now and It has been nothing but happy pleasant experience that makes you want to come back . But let me move to one thing I can’t ignore and I feel like I have to address this right now and here , because as somebody who has been managing multiple medical practices I know there are ways my concern could be “lost “ if I just wrote a regular emailYou manager Jesse (or Jessica ) . As a reputable spa I dont think she has a good presence for your place . In other words she is the first person you see when you walk into the place lately (that’s what happened to me last time on January 21st of 2021 ) . I love this place and swear by it , so I decided to give my friends a birthday gift -facial with LED bed (that was complimentary for the first time for her ) . Everything went smooth ,and my friend , who works with me and is an esthetician , enjoyed every minute of it . She couldn’t stop talking about the place and Sam and her magical hands . I was coming that day later to get facial on my own (I come every month , its my ritual now ) .1. As I was checking in I noticed how Jessica treated my esthetician and how she talked to other estheticians , which left me with a very bad after taste : she flicks her fingers aka “Faster ! Faster ! Move !” at employees as if she owns the place and talks in a very condescending way .Like I said earlier I manage multiple family medical practices where I oversee estheticians and medical office managers and If somebody treated my employees like this I would fire that person or give multiple warnings . You dont treat your workers and co workers like that ! Period .2. Lets move on . I was told that my LED bed was comped . The day I was checking out Jessica charged me for LED bed , which I paid , I have no problem paying for services , Im a big girl ..I know how things work. But its just when things happen like this you start questioning certain things . In other words If you decided as a manager you didn’t want to give me LED bed for free -its okay ! But speak up , mention it , say “ Im sorry I know last time LED bed was for free but we can’t comp it anymore , you will have to pay the full 175 for the session “ I would have no problem paying . It was just very unprofessional .3. I use Babor micro silver concentrate and I usually buy ampoules online . But since Joannah Vargas spa sells Babor now (super exciting!) I was happy I could buy a 2 week supply bottle instead of buying online 7 day supply . But bottles cannot be sold online . So before going on vacation to Baha Mar I wanted to stock on the product .I got in touch with my esthetician and she said that spa has the bottle of micro silver concentrate in stock . I agreed to buy it and she said that manager will call me to process the payment and to ship this to me . Days went by -nobody called me . I was short on time so I just bought online and paid extra 25 bucks for expedited shipping . Last Sunday I come for a facial . My esthetician asks me “ How is concentrate in the bottle ? Was it more convenient to use it from the bottle ?” so I told her that NOBODY CALLED ME , NOBODY SHIPPED me anything ….. and on Sunday spa was out of this concentrate . If I could speak with Jessica one on one I would tell her “Maybe instead of flicking your fingers at the estheticians in front of their clients you could just focus on what you were hired to do “ . Its just sad that in this reputable high end place manager is not only not professional but I dont think she has a slight idea on what is facial , what is skin and how integumentary system works . Because sometimes when your skin care specialist recommends you certain product is because she sees benefits in them and she wants you to use it as soon as possible . Clearly she either forgot or maybe , just maybe , sending that bottle of microsilver concentrate wasnt that important for her . Going forward I would like to deal with any staff member but your manager when it comes to buying products and shipping them .
This is my third time going to Joanna and my second time with Shane. Hes absolutely amazing - very attentive to your individual skin needs and recommends great techniques to enhance the products you already have at home (using enzyme cleansers with steam from your shower, how often YOU should exfoliate, etc.). Ive seen him for the oxygen purifying facial and the triple crown. Def going back!
This salon has been life changing for me. Ive been seeing Melania for a Triple Crown facial every 4-6 weeks since this summer, and shes been the best thing to happen to my hormonal acne. Ive been suffering for over a year, and I’ve tried just about everything and my skin is finally HEALING!! The red and blue Vitalight treatments have prevented new acne from appearing and reduced my acne scars significantly.
First time, I went through oxygen Purifying facia which was ok, I don’t see any miracle in my face but I didn’t have any side effect. After 3 months, I went for triple crown facial and and also went through the red light. From the next day of the procedure, my skin started getting dry, and one part of skin get so dry so that when I touch I feel like I am not touching any soft skin, I am touching plastic. I should let you guys know that my was smoother and better before the procedure. I don’t if it’s for my skin type, but my skin type is not that bad, so I wouldn’t recommend that.
This was my first facial ever and it was very relaxing. I got the Oxygen Purifying Facial with Valentina who is great and talked me through the treatments so we could pick the best facial for my skin. Definitely would love to go back!
Just spent a wonderful morning at Joanna Vargas Spa for my first facial. It was all I expected and more! The minute you walk into the spa you are welcomed by friendly staff and a sense of relaxation. After a few minutes Krystal came to take me back for my facial. I had the 60 minute Triple Crown Facial. It was relaxing and invigorating all in one! And Krystal was very skilled in her techniques. It starts with a gentle microdermabrasion to exfoliate the dead skin cells. Then a microcurrent treatment to tighten the skin and reduce fine lines. It finishes with an oxygen treatment that breaths life back into your skin and promotes a beautiful glow about your face. All the while Krystal expertly messaged and pampered my tired face. The before and after results were definitely visible. My jawline was more defined and my face was more uplifted. But the most dramatic result I saw was the lifting of my eyebrows! It was like a had a mini face lift, especially in my eye area. My eyes were much more open because my eyebrows had lifted remarkably. I will definitely be back. A few more of these treatments, I believe, will truly make a difference in how I look and feel. Thanks Joanna Vargas, and Krystal.
Absolutely the worst facial Ive ever had. The esthetician said that I have black hair on my noise and that those are not blackheads. She also started doing extractions after she used a mask, and said I will have red face because there was no steaming done. The lady was absolutely unprofessional. The worst experience ever. She also spent at least 10 min trying to up-sell me for a different facial, and when I said no, I will keep the same facial, she came back, and said I cant believe you dont want to do our signature treatment.
If you don’t know anything about facials and skin care this place would impress you. I have been getting facials for over a decade - not in NYC where it’s triple priced, but from expert estheticians in brooklyn that have been doing them for decades . My pores get clogged easily and the reason I go for facials is for a deep cleaning. Heres my honest review of this place for those looking for the same. This place is hyped up way more than it deserves. The glitz and glam does not impress me. The woman that did my OPF facial was more interested in selling the products than benefiting my skin. She was trying to make bs small talk about things she couldnt care less about. I will not say the name just because I’m really not trying to put anyone down, my only intention is giving an honest review of my experience. Also her skin was dry and looked horrible. The facial went ok, however it’s everything my facial lady does, including the technology, at her own home and charges a fraction of the price. During the facial she was telling me about the products she’s using with the intention to sell. I have an expertise in skin care, it’s my passion so I know which products actually do what’s promised and which ones to stay away from.After my facial they tried selling me different packages and gave me no choice but to schedule the next appointment. It felt so forced almost like saying no is not an option. Which is a great sales tactic but then they informed about the price change if I want a “master” esthetician. Um for 300 bucks I sure hope whoever’s extracting my face is a master at it. Which made me wonder how many years experience does a master level have? They said about 5. LOL what a joke. I’ll go back to my facial lady that is 57 years old and looks 35, with thirty years of experience, that charges 100$ for a deep cleansing facial including microdermabrasion and a oxygen mask.
I had such a wonderful experience at JVLA salon! Asia was so knowledgeable and gave me an outstanding facial! The facial was unlike any I have ever had. The treatment of microcurrent is great for anti aging and I love that it is natural which is great for my sensitive skin! I am so happy that I finally found a salon with superb treatments and would highly recommend it to everyone!
Im an esthetician and my facial at Joanna Vargas was one of the true highlights of my life! Ulyana was so warm and caring, I was lucky to get her. You feel like a celebrity here, the atmosphere is pristine, black and white Art Deco and in addition to Joannas own line, they use one of my favorite lines of all time...Eminence. The microcurrent effect on my face blew me away...I could actually see the lift it created! One of the things I also loved, was the perfect blend of music they had in the room. It was ocean music on one system and gotye on the other. A strange detail I know but there was something so relaxing and cool about it. A nice twist of the regular boring spa music. There are a lot of choices for facials in NYC, but if you want to make sure you have an incredible experience, make your appointment here. Im sure all of the girls are great here, but definitely try to get Ulyana!
Joanna Vargas Salon is the best of the best in terms of both services and products. You always know youre in expert hands when youre here. I highly recommend Anastasia, Liz V., Melissa, and Shari, but I dont think you can go wrong with anyone you see here. The receptionists are always so sweet, attentive, and incredibly accommodating too.

Purifying oxygen facial with Adrea was amazing. It was the perfect mix of relaxing and technical (using a bunch of advanced technology you won’t find at most salons). It’s worth the money and I’ll definitely be back.
More expensive than, say, a Mario Badescu facial but SO worth it. The staff is so kind and nonjudgmental-- have had such annoying stressful experiences in the past with facialists who lament that my skin is difficult and left me red, blotchy, and self conscious. You leave Joanna Vargas salon looking and feeling so healthy, glowy, and relaxed-- literally fell asleep during my facial. Honestly, its worth every penny.
Its been 4 days since I had my appointment with Monica, I had the radio frequency facial. My skin looks and feels the best it has in years! I was also impressed with the over all experience, the service was really great and Monica made me feel very comfortable. Thank you!

My friend recently recommended the Vitamin c face wash from this line. I really had a hard time looking for something since my skin was so sensitive to certain agents in many face washes. But this face wash was one that can also be used as daily cleanser even takes makeup off! This makes my travelling life much easier! Im so glad, i cant wait to book my facial with my boyfriend here!
I always see Stella and she is so amazing. I have tried many of the girls and I have been regularly coming for two years at least once a month. Stella was the first person I saw and she is always the one I request to see. She is a master and is so great at what she does. I cannot say enough great things about her. Definitely see Stella - She will make your experience and your skin flawless.
I have been a long standing JV customer for 5 + years. I love the vit c face wash and had a hx of using other products. I still use the face wash in the AM daily. I order that product via the online auto subscription program. I was accidently signed up for the moisturizing cream I had previously used (I thought the subscription was cancelled). Once I received that item I e-mailed customer service per website directions on how to return the unopened item. it has been 1.5 weeks and Ive received no response after multiple attempts. There is no phone number for me to contact.Unless this situation is corrected I will not be purchasing any more of the products in the future as this is terrible customer service in my opinion.*update* Thank you for responding and quickly! the return was resolved and I updated my review rating.*update* I have submitted my return with the provided return label but I have received a credit back to my bank account. I see Melania every 6-8 weeks for the Triple Crown Facial. I always leave with my skin looking beautiful and refreshed. She is amazing at what she does, the hour always passes by so quickly. I would highly recommend!
I have gone to Joanna Vargas for a massage and for three facials during the pandemic and have felt safe and very pleased each time I go. They are very adamant about checking temperatures, ensuring social distancing and every person working there wears a face mask at all times and wears gloves and a face shield during your service.
I’ve been using five of Joanna Vargas’s skincare products for about 3 weeks. I’m in my late thirty’s so I have what I like to call “mature skin.” I also have very sensitive skin and was nervous about trying something new on my face. The first product I used was the vitamin C face wash. As soon as I put it on my face, I was in love. It has a very organic citrus aroma and it’s a very light weight wash. As soon as I washed it off my face, my skin was silky smooth. I’ve always experienced silky skin after doing a scrub, but not from face wash. Washing my face before bed used to be a chore, now I look forward to it.The second product I use is the daily serum. I use it after washing my face with the vitamin C facewash. This also has a very fresh and organic smell to it. This product really gave my skin a glow. I love getting into bed and my husband complementing how beautiful my skin looks. (And I’m not wearing any makeup)The third product I use is the daily hydrating cream. I use this at after applying the daily serum. The daily hydrating cream has really helped my skin. It’s winter so my skin was extremely dry due to the cold air and wind. My forehead is no longer flaky and it hasn’t caused me to break out. My kids and husband love the smell of it as well.The fourth product I use is the rejuvenating serum. This serum has given my face a more youthful look. My wrinkles haven’t gone away but they are less pronounced and I have a fresh glow that last all day. I have ALWAYS worn foundation on my face. Now, I don’t even need to wear foundation. My skin is so beautiful. I have gotten so many compliments by coworkers and friends; they always want to know what kind of foundation I’m using. They’re always shocked when I tell them I’m not wearing any. When I do wear foundation, my skin still has a beautiful glow but I love the fact that no longer need to wear foundation. I should mention that after applying the rejuvenating serum, I also apply a small amount of the hydrating cream.The fifth product I use is the exfoliating mask. This too is a very light weight scrub. It has a great smell and I look forward to the nights when I get to use it. I use it twice a week and let it set on my face for about 5 minutes. When I wash it off, my face is silky smooth and looks fresh and bright.I am truly in love with these five products and never thought my skin could look and feel the way it does. I love the glow of my skin and how my wrinkles are less noticeable. I feel I look younger which is never a bad thing.

She gifted me some of Joannas vitamin c face wash. She said I should use it daily and i really am trying since I do see a difference. We will see how long I can keep this up!
Im not usually a review kind of guy but I felt like I had to write one for this place. Ive had facials in the past but nothing compared to this. Ive always had blackheads on my nose I could never get out and Asia took care of me and got every single one out. She was gentle yet thorough, I could tell she is a pro. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful modern space on Fifth Avenue with courteous staff and late evening hours. The signature Triple Crown facial did a good job in cleansing and softening my face, but the results were not nearly dramatic enough to justify the regular $250 price tag. Online promotions are occasionally offered.
What a luxe, wonderful experience! The salon is beautiful and everyone was so kind. I had the Triple Crown facial with Audrey. The entire process just felt sooo luxurious (and it was!). If I could go weekly, I would. I left feeling beautiful and dewy.
This place used to be great but it has since devolved to a hot mess. Theyve added a ton of new estheticians who have no idea what theyre doing. They have crazy aggressive sales tactics. One sold my then boyfriend a product for a skin problem that the product doesnt help with. I wouldnt be surprised if they have a sales target to meet, super inappropriate for a place thats supposed to do facials. Kim the manager is super rude and misinformed. She once tried to sell me a product with vitamin c without asking about my skin type. As someone with sensitive skin, it would have turned my skin into a hot mess. Theyre 100% greenwashers, claiming that their skincare is organic and free of nasty chemicals, which is not the case if you look carefully at the ingredients. Theyre also very aggressive in pushing radio frequency, something that at my age I dont need. Ive also been trying to get an appt for 4 weeks and Ive emailed them 5 times. Not a single response. I literally just want my money back for he last 2 facials I have with them and call it a day. Please give me my money back and let me go to a place that values my business.
This place is awesome, I usually walk out of facials really red or oily but I walked out with a nice glow and I felt like all of my needs were addressed. Monica was amazing and I cant wait to go back! I already see a difference in my skin.

Lovely space and staff, but the facials felt pointless. I tried their two most expensive facials and didn’t even get extractions. They talk a lot about “contouring without makeup” via their technology, but I saw zero difference. All style, no substance in my opinion.
Ive never paid so much for a facial . But I will say it was worth every penny. My skin is glowing. It feels hydrated, plump and the healthiest its ever looked. If you can afford it, Do it!
