Best place in the city to host an event. Prices are best we found in the city and best bang for your buck.Flexible options and excellent service that led us through the whole process.Rooftop is renovated and is a really beautiful space. Casual but very nice. Also, drinks are good and strong!
Been here twice for birthdays where we rented the rooftop. Service was great and friendly. They were good about kicking out strangers at our tables.Music is house / disco. Not sure how downstairs is, but the rooftop is more lounge vibes and ppl don’t really dance / music isn’t lit enough for it
The place was popping, super busy, drinks are about 20 each. The line for the bathroom is always a headache because its not that big. But the music was pretty good and the drinks not on the menu were pretty strong, the ones on the menu are tasty though. Overall would recommend, age range youd most likely run into is 20s to 30s for the most part.
If you’re coming here as a woman please be careful. i used to come here all the time and it used to be great however i went last weekend with a group of friends and one of my friends was drugged by a man near the bar. we went outside to get some air and he followed us out and watched as my friend got sick and he stood there smiling as she was throwing up. the security guards were somewhat helpful but i can’t help but feel like this guys and probably many others do this regularly as this area is now a hot spot for this kind of behavior. save your money and go somewhere safer please ladies be safe out there
Second floor was great for us, music was cool, security was everywhere, bathroom area was treated by several people on the go. Drinks were good. The only thumbs down that we were told about dress code in place while after certain hour they started to let everybody in, includin in baggy clothes, sneakers and etc. attire that i was told is not acceptable. Its not that I care much, its just why tell me that over whatsapp if the establishment doesnt follow these rules.
Good spot depending on the night. Safera nights on Fridays are good but extremely crowded and they let way too many people in. If you dont mind drunk college kids and a bunch of guys standing in the way doing nothing trying to talk to girls have at it.Basement is house party vibes.Main floor is 90s & 2000s music. The highlight of the delancy is the rooftop where I go a lot to house, EDM music plus more mature people are upstairs and easier to get a drink from the bartenders.Security is on point there on all floors.
Don’t usually do this but I have to share the experience I had tonight because I’ve never had anything like it happen to me in New York. We were downstairs to watch the bands. At the end of the show they cut the last band off which was a downer for everyone. People were chanting “one more song”, in a fun way, then suddenly staff then got INCREDIBLY rude and aggressive towards me and my friends, yelling at us to get upstairs right away. We couldn’t believe it - it went in a second from everyone having a great time to us feeling really threatened. I will never go back again.
Loved the energy at this place! It consists of three different floors (including a basement and a rooftop), and each had their own vibe and styles of music. I will definitely come back here again :)
SAFETY RISKSThe Delancey was once a promising club with great music. Ive been to this particular location many times in the past and decided to make a return for a fun night out on a Saturday! However, upon my return I quickly realized just how unsafe and dirty the Delancey has become. The basement was extremely, extremely crowded to the point where it was hard to move (not to mention how hot and sweaty it was) and the 1st floor was also EXTREMELY crowded where simply getting to the bathroom was a hassle and quite frankly, it was hard to breathe. The reason why I’m bringing up concerns is because this place feels like a ticking time bomb. Management do not put a cap on the amount of people they let in the club to maximize profits, and bouncers do not check people at the door for weapons.@Management: It takes one time for a weapon to come out or for a fight to break loose and for people to begin to run causing a stampede. People can easily be trampled here from what I’ve seen with no easy exit’s and this club could be CLOSED. There will be way worse issues and lawsuits on the horizon. Case in point, do better Delancey. Make a cap for the amount of people you let into the club and basement, make sure bouncers are checking for weapons and grab a hold of the place before something really bad happens! #wakeup
Love it, prob one of the best clubs around. No cover charge and they don’t do any bull💩 at the door. You get in quick and staff is very friendly. They have a basement with Latin music, first floor with more American music and rooftop with the same American music but just a lot lower volume. It’s perfect to talk to pretty girls. Drinks are 15 each. And bar service is always fast. I recommend coming if your going on vacation
I’ve been to the Delancey a couple time for small shows, but after this time I will never be going back. After the last band finished around 11 PM, a security person immediately got on stage and started yelling at us to leave. The crowd was big and excited but not rowdy. The tone of the evening went from excited and energetic to threatened in a matter of seconds. He threatened to physically throw the band off stage and shone his flashlight in the crowd’s eyes. (The crowd was cheering for an encore) I had to run to the bar to close my tab because this man was standing over me and I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to.I left quickly because of the threatening way that the staff was treating me & my friends. A friend who left after me told me that the security guy grabbed his arm in an attempt to drag him out of the venue. If you are a band considering booking this venue, know that your fans will be treated terribly. They will not tell you about their scheduled acts until the day of and will physically chase you off the premises.
Very fun spot to go to. Downstairs is like a club with great music. The DJ (James... Right?) Was amazing! He seamlessly mixed hip hop and dance and took requests. It was awesome. It is very high energy downstairs and lots of people milling around everywhere but everyone is really considerate.I love loved the rooftop and spent most time there. There is reserved seating and it is airy and a bit tropical yet chic. The music was Latin mostly and people were talking and also dancing (but not intensely like downstairs). It is like two different spots. The bartenders upstairs were the best ever. My bartender had long black hair and grey eyes. She was so kind and funny and amazingly fast! I love love love the rooftop. The best thing is that you can have two different experiences in the same space so there is something for everyone. I also appreciated the great bouncers who made me feel extremely safe. Nothing ever happened but their calm attentiveness was impressive. I was really impressed with how this place was run and the staff are professional and amazing. I definitely recommend visiting.
Amazing place! I had so much food and the staff was so sweet. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy the night life in NYC.
I attempted to celebrate my two friends birthday here. We came straight to the basement level and the vibe was great, service was great, music was great! My only complaint is the security guy at the door. I had friends visiting from Mexico so one of them was showing his INE ID which is pretty much accepted everywhere in NY night life places. However, the security guard refused the entrance to my friend. He told us we extrictly needed a passport or a NYC official ID. It was his birthday! We were really down and I asked the guy his name and he just acted rude. What a surprised my other birthday girl friend also showed the same type of ID earlier and she had no problem going in. I found ridiculous the moment when the security guard said we needed same ID as if we were taking a flight. It happened on Saturday night at around 2:30 am. The security guard on the left side of the entrance. He was discriminatory to my friend (man) and very rude to me. The place itself was great overall. Just dont hire guys who have issues with foreigners.
Amazing selection of performances. A band called Soul Chocolate player and they were incredible. The drinks were really good and had excellent customer service. Cool crowd too. Highly recommended.
I had the time of my life here! they play such good music and the vibes are immaculate! if you’re visiting nyc, you have to check this place out!!
I have never been to a club where it smelled like actual feces and straight up sewage until now. Didnt get any of the cocktails due to all of them being $20. Ridiculous. There was an EDM dance party advertised and there was no EDM nor dancing.
The Delancey is a great place for a night out… they have 3 floors and the music is great on all three but definitely check out the basement. All the staff here is friendly, specially the bartender Steve, he was super welcoming, friendly and amazing in general, definitely made the night worth it!Go check it out!
Bryan F is the best bartender in town. He made sure we had our drinks right on time, even during our girls night out time.
Spent my birthday here last year, and it was so much fun that my boyfriend had his here as well!We got the vip room with out own bartender. My birthday we did cash bar where my guests paid for their own drinks for the night, and my boyfriend did bottle service with sparklers and the whole shabang. So so so much fun. Everyone was so nice and attentive. Super nice place and very reasonable minimums. Also lost a jacket, and was able to come back and get it from their lost and found the next day.
Great food, music/DJ, service and ambience all around! The birria and rizzo pizzas were especially good if you’re into spice.
Great hosts, water is not charged. The music is good, they played JID which was awesome. Come early.
Bouncers are a holes but the dj is 🔥, crazy expensive cover fee but 2 free (small) drink tix
One of the best club in NYC, no cover fee, decent drinks and nice music. There are third floor and each floor has a different vide like the first floor is more like pop music, the basement is more like Latin/reggae music which every time I go to the basement it was pack with people so there isn’t a lot of space to dance compared to the first floor. The roof is more for social as the music is more quieter compared to the music on other floor. No one is really dancing on the roof but mostly talking and socializing
I was looking forward to a fun night with my friends but ended up being yelled at and shoved by the security guard when trying to make it into the basement. We had told him wed pay the $40 fee to get in but then proceeded to say no and shoved us.No bueno
It used to be better. Now they divided the entry so for the downstairs you gotta pay separate. Is not worth it. It gets very hot downstairs
This place is trash bro, denied 6 military members because we had ripped Jeans. Disgraceful to deny entry for what? When they let in dusty broke people with RIPPED JEANS
Place with decent music, drinks were around 20 dollars. However, the bouncers were unreasonably rude and had attitude.
They make you order food just so you can get drinks, but the food is more expensive that should suppose to be, the food is overpriced and its really awful. Plus I’m Mexican and trust me the “Mexican food” is not even close of real one they give you only ”chips” when they are charging you for the extra and is only a small side of guac or beef, also the drinks are not good my michelada is more tomato juice than the rest of the ingredients, the chips are old and the taste not good. So please if you are going to give me expensive food at least give good food. I do not recommend this at all.
There was supposed to be an event on June 20th with dj manny fresco. They had us sign up for a spot on the website like the event was actually happening. We arrived and it was closed.
The worst night club I have ever gone to. HARD NO!! Racism at the very high level.Kicking out anyone without any reason, just to make some space in that crowded hell.
This place hasnt changed. Great spot to have a couple drinks and catch a show. Is it good? Is it bad? Who cares, have fun
This is one of the worst places I’ve ever been to in the city. The staff were extremely rude, especially the guy in the basement floor flashing lights and yelling at everyone. They don’t regulate the number of people that enter the lower level and it felt like there was going to be a stampede. Never coming back.
Yes yes yes! Always a great choice. Music is a 10/10. Want to see POC get down? This is the real ish 🤪
It 0 stars I would absolutely terrible they close at 4 and I showed up at 1:30 they wouldn’t let me and my friends who were willing to spend money inside absolutely ridiculous no cover bar which is respectable but if you close at 4am don’t advertise that if your gonna close the doors at 1:30AM
Came here with my long term partner who loves a vodka-based mixed drink. No cover for us before midnight, great energy within the club, multiple dance floors with a rooftop too. Rooftop was a bit more quiet with most of the dancing going on on the ground floor. We got a few beers, vodka redbulls, and cosmos. Nice time!
Top 2 floors were great but the there is NO capacity control in the basement (Reggaton). It was full beyond capacity
I had so much fun on the weekend. The vibes were immaculate and the staff was incredible.
Okay, due to location its very full of tourists. Music was very random. From chart to hip hop, dance
First few times here were fun. Attempted to meet up with family for drinks celebrating a birthday and was denied entry because “ I had a small rip in my jeans (wasn’t open or showing leg) and the bouncer or front door security wasn’t even giving me eye contact just kept telling me to leave lol. So I had the 8 people that were waiting on me inside exit and find a new venue where we spent well over $900 and tipped well. Embarrassed and shocked, used to be a good place but won’t be spending money in there anytime soon. They should definitely lighten up on dress code 👎🏼
I have only come here on Tuesdays for the live Art events and Im never disappointed. Its a great crowd who just want to dance and have a good time. And really dance not just grind on eachother. So if live art or watching some people dance is your thing. Definitely give it a try on Tuesdays. They have small bar bites and the drinks are well priced.
It’s a litttt place! I had so much fun! Definitely recommend it :)
Just had a birthday party on the rooftop of The Delancey. Ive been in NYC almost a decade now and this is now my favorite venue for a party. From the very beginning of our correspondence they were responsive, organized and very courteous. Even during the event today they were extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure the seating arrangement would work out for my party. Highly recommend this venue and so grateful for them with helping create an unforgettable atmosphere and ambience for my birthday.
Kind staff made the night! From the event planners/reservation, bouncers, bottle service and management, bathroom attendants, our large party (20+) was well accommodated for. Also, costs are super reasonable here too.Shoutout to Christine! They were a gorgeous person inside and out! Respectful, efficient and kind. I’ve never felt so heard at a club and that makes a huge difference in me wanting to come back and recommend this spot to people, knowing people like them work here and have high levels of common sense / reason! (A true rarity).
The ambiance is amazing. Aesthetically pleasing and the vibes were immaculate. The music the staff and people were so fun. We had such a great time dancing and just enjoying the hospitality.
Although the staff were friendly and the drinks decent, one of the floors was insanely packed, to a point where it was hard to move your arms. Not to mention, there were candles lit on various bar tables. That’s extremely unsafe given how many people under the influence were cramped into one space. That has got to be a violation of some sort. I will never go back and I would advice anyone to reconsider for safety reasons.
Very Unprofessional… NO WHERE on the website, Instagram, or flyers for events is there a mention of this establishment being a 21+ Venue. Beautiful venue but lack of professionalism with their staff as well as their lack of communication of information in regards to age limits.
Good place for good music and friends. Recommend for a chill night out
I love that it has three separate floors (downstairs, main, rooftop) meaning 3 different djs. if you get tired of one of them you could simply go upstairs or downstairs and try out the others. theres no cover charge which is always a plus
My birthday was Friday. I order tickets was so excited to spend my birthday with you guys. I read the review everyone say it was amazing. I got there they told me I was fine by my husband wasn’t dressed up enough, my husband had a nice pair of tan pants on with a design and a tan shirt. The security was like no cargos, i read the rules and dress code my husband pants was not cargos they was tan. I spend a lot of money to enjoy and didn’t because the security was rude when i asked for the Supervisor/ Manager he said he was. Well thank you for ruining my birthday night. Especially after I spend a lot for a table and to enjoy
This place was okay . The basement was extremely crowded to the point where I could barely move and I was shoved and my drink was spilled. The bar guy got upset I didn’t tip but I was already paying $37 for two drinks and it was a simple drink. I shouldn’t feel obligated to tip. When he saw I barley tipped he put more pineapple juice then Malibu which in my opinion was uncalled for. The drink tasted like juice . tipping is a choice ! That’s absurd it is extremely small for the amount of people. They should have a space to just walk up and down but considering how small it is it makes sense . I have been to clubs before and yea I understand they get packed but this was just extremely small for the amount of people.
Went to see a band. The space is three levels with a rooftop. The staff behind the bar and the doorman werw really nice. We were in the basement for the show. There are limited seats so be prepared to stand or go very early to snag a spot. The place is really nice and looking forward to going to more events there.
Such a cute location with lovely decor.. Awesome staff and security..my only complaint is how small the space is, and they still allow people to pack in..Manhattan is already crowded, going to an indoor establishment shouldnt be the same exact way/experience.. Other then that small detail, this place is nice for networking & drinks!
I’ve only written a couple reviews and I only do so if a place made a VERY BIG impression on me. Of course, I never want to sound like a “Karen,” but I hope my comments can help improve the experience of the space.I want to begin this review with compliments towards the bartenders and the vibe of the venue. The bartenders were absolutely fantastic and ensured we were served well. The drinks were also made fantastically. While they were pricey, I expected that from a club in NYC (I’m from Maryland, so I may be wrong). Additionally, the vibe around the venue was cool and exactly what we imagined for a night out. We have some great pictures from our night! If you want to have a fun night out with your friends, then I would definitely suggest this place. Now on to the critiques: the reservation experience needs serious work. We reserved a space for my best friend’s birthday. This was planned with direct communication with the venue via email over the course of a week. We were given the impression that with a reservation, the space we get is private—as in those allowed in the space will only be those in our party. This is also supported on their website. However, unbeknownst to us, random people were still able to walk through the space we reserved. In fact, most of these people stayed there, even after we told them we reserved the space. When we asked for help, multiple employees told us people could still walk through and STAY there. One employee told us the rope that separated the reserved space and the dance floor was a fire hazard. If so, why was the rope there at all? Additionally, why call it a reserved space if it wasn’t going to stay that way?On top of that, a random guest (again, not apart of our reservation) dropped a bottle and it shattered everywhere in the space we reserved. We asked for help, but no one came to address it nor clean it. My friend who’s birthday it was ended up scooping it to the side with her heel to prevent anyone from stepping on it. Considering we now had several random people in the space we reserved, we didn’t want anyone to step on glass. It appeared that staff cared more about the “fire hazard” of keeping our reserved space closed off than the fact that guests could injure themselves on broken glass. Also, the DJ remixed songs interestingly, but not in a good way. We were told the music was separated by floors: top EDM, bottom hip hop/RNB/rap. We were downstairs: the DJ would start a hip hop/rap song off fine for maybe 20 seconds, but quickly change it to an EDM remix. We specifically chose downstairs for the style of music, so that was disappointing. Additionally, as a West African, a word of advice is to leave Afro-beats alone; for all DJs looking at this review, please leave Afro-beats and EDM separate!!!-
I say this as someone whos been to a good amount of clubs in the city.Bartenders are the only reason Im giving this more than 1 star. Ive been here a handful of times and its usually dead until ~11. This being said; I went on Friday for Hallo-weekend and its so dead I cannot recommend it with good conscience anymore... I left around ~12:30 and more people were leaving than entering. Its not the worst, but the only reason Im reviewing it so harshly is because the girls bathroom is too chaotic. So disorganized and so much cutting allowed by the staff; my friends had to wait >340 minutes! Ridiculous. In response to the owners comment: wow, way to minimize all my honest feedback. Was debating coming back here, but easy decision now
Really good Lychee cocktails! Bartender was super friendly
Such a freat bar, good people and music
Super packed. No room and manager told me two different names: Kevin or Chan super rude. And the bouncers don’t care expect one. Couldn’t move and got yelled out by the so called manager and ended up kicking us out because we didn’t push into the crowd. Obviously doesn’t care for the people and just wants money of people coming in. Pointed out the safety hazard and they got mad. Never returning there and I brought a party of 17 there. Never again. Just small, no space, and terrible service. Would give 0 stars! If you see online with free entry it’s not worth it. Extremely tiny, terrible music, worst bouncers, and bad quality drinks like super bad.Overall would stay away and try any other place in the area like The DL or Sour Mouse. As a Latin I rather stay my butt home or go else where.
Will never come here ever again. Worst Birthday experience of my life. We made a reservation for a 30 person section to celebrate mine and my friends birthday on the rooftop. When we got there we were told that even tho we had a reservation we had to go to the back of the line. They were letting other people with reservations go right in past the line. Once we made it through security we waited for another 20 minutes outside of the club because our “table wasn’t ready” even though it was already 10:45 at this point and the reservation was for 10:00. Every person we invited had to wait 30 minutes in line to get in, and many of my friends weren’t even let in because of the “dress code”. The staff was extremely rude. Once we made it to our “section”, it was filled with people we didn’t know pushing and shoving the entire night. Would never come back here or recommend it to anyone.
If you’re gay/queer stay away. I was turned away at the door after the bouncer looked me up and down and said I couldn’t go in because I had ripped jeans. However, there were plenty of straight men walking in with ripped jeans. In response to the owner’s reply:A dress code policy should apply to all. I saw at least 2 (straight) men walking in with ripped jeans, and this is not even taking into account all the women that had ripped jeans who were let in without any issues. So labeling this establishment as homophobic is not an extreme and unfounded accusation. Take your money elsewhere and support businesses that welcome all.
Feels like a tropical vibe on the top floor. Nice place to relax and talk on the top floor. The first floor is a typical pop DJ with a cocktail bar. Top floor is Nice place to hangout and chill with friends. The first floor is nice to dance and meet new people.
I only went to Delancey for drinks, but their drinks are pretty good, but youll be paying that Manhattan price, which is about $20 for a cocktail. However, their rooftop is really nice and relaxing. I would recommend for a nice night out
I went on December 23rd and had a terrible experience. Entry was supposed to be free but the person at the door was being super stubborn and did not let anyone down that did not visibly had a drink. We already bought a shot and drank it at the bar but he would not not let us go down because he did not see us with the shot. Had to buy extra drinks for each person we came with to just go downstairs. Once downstairs there were mostly men and they weren’t even dancing. Ratio was terrible. The music was good. I really liked the DJs. Someone decided to start pushing and I got in between so they wouldn’t start a whole fight. The security tried to kick me out. If it wasn’t for all the people I came with saying that it wasn’t me that started the altercation then I would’ve gotten kicked out. I felt bad for the DJ because he was so good but the people and the ones handling the event just messed up the atmosphere.
This place was ok. We went on a Saturday night because it was advertised as reggaetón night on Eventbrite. It definitely was not reggaetón. The music down stairs was fun, kind of like a house top hits mix. But not many people were dancing. The scene on the rooftop was more social but that’s where a majority of the people were. All in all it was ok, just not what was expected. Definitely good if you have a big group of people to accommodate everyone
Horrible customer service. Asian bottle girl and bouncer harassed my sister and I and forced us to leave over a table. She said the table was for bottle service only meanwhile there was no sign on the table that said so and no other customers sitting at tables had bottle service. There was countless empty tables throughout the rooftop but still forced us out of our table. We complied at first but asked for 5 more minutes so we can finish our drink but the Asian bottle girl told us to leave now and called the bouncer who proceeded to put his hands on my sister and spit on my face and didn’t even let us use the bathroom before we left. There’s literally never a reason for someone who works in the customer service industry to treat a customer this way.Response: As I said there were no signs on the tables, As I said we asked the tables next to us if they reserved the table or ordered bottle service they did not when the Asian bottle girl heard that she had no response to us so she escalated to calling security because she didn’t know what to say. As I said there were countless of empty tables. Your response is just as unprofessional as your staff, it’s honestly disgusting that you allow your staff to treat customer that way to spit on them and grab them for literally no good reason.
Ok this place is just not for me. Maybe if I was younger. It has typical teenage club vice; cheap quality alcohol, loud music and dingy dark walls. The restrooms were a nightmare, dont even get me started. I landed there with a group of friends, wasnt my pick but I just tagged along and instantly regretted. One of my friend went up to the bar to get some drinks and the bar tender was super weird to her. Perhaps she mistook my friend for another brown girl and accused her of being very a rude customer who hasnt been tipping well all night. My friend tried clarifying that it wasnt her but was of little help.Perhaps all we brown people look the same We later complained to the manager and they did apologize for the mix up.Overall it was a disappointing experience. I think I will stick to my fancy rooftop bars.
Great vibes! recommend the latin floor for sure 🤩🤩
I had fun! Its definitely crowded especially the basement level ( which has cover). Level 1 was a good vibe, DJ was rocking and drinks were decent.
The worse alcohol ever, unbelievable that you ask for 2 margarita 5 seconds after 2 drinks are ready but the taste really really bad, not a real cocktail
Always a good time. Been coming here for years and recommending it to everyone. Great music, dancing, and ambiance. Love the upstairs patio in the summertime!
Me and my band have played there many times over the years, Lots of fun, lots of energy. One of the best dive bars in NYC.
Good bar... reminded me of old school bar/club. Basement room like a old dive.. love it. Staff cool.. price could always be better. Maybe next time Ill make it to the roof top... that night I was lucky to find the stairs
The drinks are so strong, barely an enjoyable flavor but if you’re not drinking for flavor you might enjoy. The decor is good and live music in the basement is always nice. When I was there it was jam packed in the basement so maybe emotionally prepared to be squished a little bit.I’ve been to a couple events at the roof space and it’s definitely a good spot. Spacious, vibey, good-ish music. But mostly it’s just aight, I think there are more unique locations with better drinks you could do an event at.
Went here on a random Thursday night for happy hour and it was great! There was a DJ on the rooftop and it was packed. Would come back on the weekends to see the vibe of the whole space! Love that there are also live bands in the basement. Trung and Kristian were great bartenders!!!
It was lit! Great music! I love that they have 3 floors AND a rooftop! The basement also has its own vibe and music.Free entry for men and women (friday). Drinks are expensive though lol not surprising. Staff is prompt and courteous. And despite being packed, they have someone who is alert and cleaning up spills and empty glasses/bottles.The only reason they got 4 and not 5 stars is because the basement is waaaaay too hot to fully enjoy. It feels like youre suffocating down there. A few ceiling fans or some strong ac in the basement and this place would easily be a 5/5
Paid $55 for 2 hours of unlimited drinks and meal in a private room for a friends birthday. What can I say we had a blast and that was a great deal! Im giving 4 stars because The food and drinks werent that great but they kept on coming non stop.Service was good never had to go looking for the server for more rounds as we were going through them pretty fast. We had a lot of fun. Basically dont go there for a spectacular food experience.
They are really selective who comes in. The security guard who checks identity upon entry has a horrible attitude, treats people badly, discriminates against them and yells at them. an unpleasant experience. And if you have a city ID they won’t let you in.
Security is very rude. Doesn’t let you in if you have photograph ID, passport or visa (if you are international). People were fighting outside the bar. Highly don’t recommend. Better options are nearby.
This place deserves 1 star cause it’s totally a SCAM. If you have your partner and you’re looking for a place to enjoy your night partying with them, this is NOT a place for you. Believe me!This is a 3 floor building. You have the rooftop, the second floor and then downstairs in the bsmt (Georgie’s). Rooftop it’s more private, people tend to chill with their boyfriend/girlfriend. Middle floor is more loud and it has a variety of English music. Downstairs it’s very hot, music not so loud and that’s where everybody hooks up. Bartenders we’re not that nice but not as bad as the second floor one’s. They have such a rude behavior if you don’t tip them (even if you do later on) or even if you do tip them. Drinks are so expensive, beer $9-$10, and regular drinks between $16-$17 (they’re not even that strong) and your paying taxes to all of them. Everybody in NYC knows you don’t pay taxes when buying only drinks. They post these flyers of Spanish/Reggaeton music in Instagram which is a total SCAM because the flyer clearly says “Free Event” and when you get to the door they want to charge you $40 to go to the basement (where the party they’re promoting is on). They don’t have many security, and in general everybody is looking for somebody to hook up which I feel takes the fun out of it cause they be harassing you in every chance they can.I would say that if you ever want to go to this place as a girl, don’t go alone, go with your friends, there is so many creepy guys, specially 2-3 old guys searching for girls talking lies about where they work and asking you to hang out later on.Never leave you drink alone. And be AWARE of your surroundings at all times! There is a lot of craziness going in there. Be SAFE!You’ll thank me later!
We came in for a friends birthday, the man at the door made it clear that we needed reservations for the rooftop. However, when I attempted to make a reservation they werent taking reservations for groups of three. We explained that to the man at the door. He sat us in a dark corner away from everyone. We attempted to leave, and we explained that we were leaving because of the place they were seating us despite the fact attempted to make a reservation. He called a lovely woman over who finally explained the seating on the rooftop. We paid 70 for unlimited drinks and one meal. The waitress and waiter on the rooftop were excellent. However, the way the gentleman at the door greeted us made it seem as though he may have thought we werent going to pay the amount required for the rooftop seating. The food was also a bit cold, not worth the price (it is clear you are paying for the ambiance). However, the service could use some work in the greeting area .”The picture attached is of our first seating arrangement.I visited here on 5/29/21.
Large, two-story bar that works well for a late-ish night, large group meet up spot that trades the aesthetics/boujee drinks usual NYC bars can have with not having to wait in a ridiculous line/buying a table. $12 a drink. 4/5 stars as a night spot.
Steven was amazing 🤩. Really great guy. Welcoming and great conversationalist.I was 🥳 my best friends bday and he was awesome will return. I recommend this place!
Nice spot once it gets WARM!!! Outside rooftop is nicely decorated and a cool vibe. But it was too cold to enjoy the night we went. Brunch was GOOOD😋! Had the Chicken n waffles-Chicken was seasoned and Waffles were nice n fluffy. Came with Sweet Potato home fries- which they can do better with the presentation- they were just diced sweet potato 😩 but they tasted Great! Hopefully when the capacity is bumped up from 25% this spot can get a better flow and people can enjoy it better.🙌🏾
The best part is the rooftop, it has a very earthy feeling, almost feels like your in a forest. Coming here on a Saturday night it gets really packed so being able to go upstairs to the rooftop to get a breath of fresh air was really nice. The place is a really nice place to come to and unwind, not necessarily have to be a party location. The only reason why I have it 4 stars and not 5, is because I didnt enjoy the DJ too much. Overall he played music you can enjoy, but there were times where his choice of music was just bad, and the transition between songs was very choppy.
I usually dont review clubs, but we were in the area to check out a neighboring bar and we happened to discover this spot. Were glad we did.The music was great! DJ seemed to have played all the best hip hop of New York artists. They had a rooftop as well, but it was overly crowded, so we just hung out at the downstairs part.No cover that night. Would return!
Stay away from this place. There is a reason why there are so many bad reviews about it. It’s not a coincidence. The staff is extremely rude. They kicked me out while trying to help a friend that wasn’t feeling well outside and call a cab. I had to wait outside during freezing cold without a sweater or a coat for 15 min while they were fetching my stuff from inside. Even though i nicely asked if i could at least wait in the vestibule, they acted like i’m a criminal. The dj sucked and the bartenders did not know what an aperol spritz was. There are so many good bars in LES. Avoid this place and you will have a stellar time.
I came tonight to see the performance of Rebel Rich. He was pretty good for an upcoming artist. The feedback from the customers was.....not so great. The only great things about this place are the bar and music. Everything else could use a big dose of improvement. Lets start with the bouncers. I understand that they have to enforce the rules and regulations but their behavior about it was unnecessary. I felt disrespected and even the inside door staff wasnt very cooperative. While I was downstairs, some people were just plain rude with no regards to manners. Half of them didnt even pay attention to the performance so why buy a ticket in the first place. I would not recommend going there for the events but I will say it is good enough for a drink or two.
Saw Amelia Murray play there and the sound was excellent.
The dress code here is hit and miss.Weve tried to come here on 2 separate ocassions. First time denied entry because a friend of mine had rips in his jeans. Yet there were ppl coming out with ripped jeans, when we questioned it, we were told before 11 that the dress code isnt enforced. Again, yesterday we came to celebrate another birthday, and my friend had dress pants with a red velour stitching down the side of the pants and was AGAIN denied entry. Yet hoodies and jeans were okay. Please make up your mind on what the dress code is, this picking and choosing who you want to allow in isnt right. We came from Long Island really wanting to enjoy this spot yet disappointed again.
I went for my friends birthday. It was cool, 3 level spot. It got really packed on the second floor. Rooftop was hot(no air), but it was nice of them to allow us to move to the bottom floor where they had air on. I had a good time. Drinks were pricey, food was decent.
Terrible club. They don’t allow entry if you’re wearing ripped jeans, sweatpants, t-shirt, or hoodie. I understand the policy on bottoms, but denying someone for wearing a plain hoodie is ridiculous. I’ve been here before too and they pick and choose when to enforce their dress code on tops. On a side note, the basement is absurdly hot. Anything but a t-shirt / polo on and you will sweat. The air feels moist. They should add windows or some kind of ventilation down there.
Some of the people of the guards really take the job too serious or sometimes they would not allow you to come in the building, but make sure you don’t come with ripped pants for men or any type of short it’s always dress down
I spent my Saturday night here. Arrived around 1am. When I got there plenty of people were on the dance floor. I enjoyed my experience. The staff was pleasant.. the coat checker was cheerful (it was only $3)... the bartenders were perky and sweet.... and the bouncers made you feel safe and secure. (If youre a minority be prepared to be surrounded by white people lol) Its a good time. Check it out.
I never give bad reviews. This place is so young and messy. Deff not a 30 and over crowd. If you like drunk youngens(21)- deff your crowd.
The place was amazing and the 3 levels is a plus. The DJ was on point, the people were amazing the staff were tentative. I was in the rooftop. it was a very diverse crowd the ambiance was intimate. I love the indoor outdoorsy feel it gave off with the decor and the plants.
Greta place for partying and worth every moment of it!
Security was horrible. Bouncer was forcing people to buy drinks to go downstairs even though entry is free. Crowded and people started pushing causing a fight. DJ’s we’re good , people and vibes were not
Ridiculous. Cant go in sweats. But if you buy bottle you can go in sweats. So does sweats matter. Employees are very rude. Talk calmly but instead yelling. Wouldnt recommend things place
This bar/club has three levels. The rooftop is very nice, open air for hanging out with friends. The basement has live music on most nights. Pretty good sound and a good backline for the bands. Theres a bar on each floor. I havent spent much time on the first floor.
Dont go for the music. They dont care about putting on a good show, all they care about ripping you off on overpriced drinks. They put artists on stage late, then do nothing to accommodate them and completely cut them off. Worst place I have ever gone for live music, I feel bad for the bands that play there, and I feel bad for the customers who they dupe out of their money just to watch their favorite artists get cut short on time. Unprofessional and I wont be going back.
They ruined my Birthday! 🤬 Made reservations thinking this was a close to upscale place for 25 people. The section could only fit about 6 not even close. It was a 65 dollar charge for unlimited bottom shelf drinks you had to walk to the bar and wait in line because the bar was open to the entire club.I thought from looking at the website it would be much more private or at least clean. He was sooo hood people were sitting on the back of our couch. There were empty drinks in the couch cushions and the couch cushions looked filthy. I was so bad I redirected my entire party and asked for a refund. If you have any kind of pride youd do the same.
D.j. had a great song Playlist until about 10:30pm, when a lot of thot97 music was played. Not a trap fan. The polish female bartender was great mixing drinks & remembering our order. The rooftop is really nice.
They will finesse you in here , I paid $20 to get in and then I went to get my friend & they tried to charge me $5 for A HAT, the atmosphere changes around 8PM
This is a great place to visit on the weekend.
Didnt see the lower area, but the ground floor is really nice and the roof has a super cool greenhouse kinda vibe. I love how much space there is to sit and chat, not too loud to hear your friends but loud enough to not hear your neighbors. My only suggestion for improvement would be the bar, its not really big enough for people to sit at, but its long enough for everyone to think theyre first in line for a drink. It would be better to have a designated line for people getting drinks and then moving away from the bar.
Such a good time! Music, drinks, ambience and the vibes was elite! Had such a good time. Will be back soon!
I made reservations to have a graduation party for my brother on 7/31. I was told we would have 2 hours upstairs on the rooftop then we could go downstairs. However when I went there on 7/27 I was informed we would have to leave at 9pm, because there was a party that night. I was not told that, so they expected us to pay $80 a person for top shelf drinks for two hours (party of 11) but had to leave at 9pm on the dot. I should have been informed from the beginning.
I attended a hip hop event at Delancey last night and the placed seemed cool. I noticed there was a roof top but since it was raining outside the event moved inside down to the first floor. Its was cool, No problems, drama free, respectful patrons asking for your pardon as then moved thur the crowd.THE MUSIC: Just straight 90s type vibes, as different artists showcased their talents the mood changed to a more modern urban sound. From beautiful women to good music.
Music is trash except the venue is really cool. As for the music, it was not at all dance worthy and concentrated towards old hip hop and pop especially on the first two floors. The basement was actually not bad at all with its music selection, however, it was humid and smelled like armpits. Not that great
Love the decor and ambiance of the rooftop. Two different world from downstairs. Went for brunch chicken abs waffles was disgusting, McDonald’s serves better nuggets. The hostess downstairs with burgundy hair is very rude, lacking social skills, gives misinformation with condescending tone. Told us to wait downstairs and someone will come get us to lead to rooftop for brunch. Waited 30 minutes till we asked security at entrance to rooftop, and he said we should’ve just went because waitress waits upstairs to seat ppl.
The service was horrible. The food was horrible. The bottle girls were trash. They had on stretch pants and tank tops and the waiter we had was rude. We went on a hot day and was outside and we expressed to her we were hot and wanted to know if they can fix the fans or change our seats and she told us no. “It is what it is”. If you’re looking for a place to have fun with friends and enjoy your time, this is not the place. It was average nothing special
It’s a good place but it’ll be better if they change the staff of security outside because they’re not professional enough to deal with gentlemen.I’ve never seen staff rude and tough like them before.they talk to the people like if they’re Masters and all the other people are Slaves.never again.
Well, it depends on why you are going. For concerts/shows, they are usually downstairs and cozy. The rooftop is great for private / industry events, if the weather is good (though they can cover the entire roof if needed). A night out dancing would be average, and drinking is decent, in my opinion.
Cute little spot. Don’t know if the restaurant made small food portions just for the brunch event I attended or if that’s the reg portion, but food was smaller than appetizers. Was starving there and after. Server was very nice tho and drinks were good and strong.
If you couldnt tell by the name, its an Irish pub. We just stopped in for a drink, and loved the ambiance with the wood floors and brick walls. The waitress was very nice and we had a great table by the window to get views of the city and passers-by. We tried a new beer for us - Allagash - and we highly recommend it.
Pricey small drinks but great show
Attended a rooftop party there on Saturday for my birthday. The guy who took us to the bottle service area was definitely under the influence. The waitress was not bad. The flyer stated the party ended at 10 pm. They kicked us all out at 8:53. When we advised that was not what the flyer said they stated nah it’s 9.
The only thing that was good was the music. The food was horrible and the cost was over priced to get in..53.00 for drinks and food. I dont drink so I was hoping for good food. I had some chicken sliders, the buns were soggy and the chicken had no seasoning. The fries were not completely done. There was not a huge option for food.... Next time I will stay my butt in Harlem, where I get my money worth! I was very disappointed 😞
Good place with nice drinks and Great music. Downstairs can get packed. Multiple times our drinks were knocked to the floor by other patrons with 0 awareness. You cant fault the place for that, but they didnt wanna give a new drink (was completely full) All in all its a solid lounge spot to have a great time.
Great vibes for all who want to have a good time. The three levels are great for a change if music or atmosphere if needed. Drinks are $10+ which is expected for the area.
We drove 45 minutes to come here, we were a group of 9 people coming to celebrate my friends and my birthday, security was very rude and slick towards my male friend regarding the “no ripped jeans policy” even though you couldn’t see his skin because the jeans had another layer of denim behind the ripped part, security was letting in girls with ripped jeans too and when my friend asked if he had to be a girl to come in with ripped jeans security said “yup”. Very disappointing overall, I understand dress code policy but it should be applied to all or none.
Awsome place beautiful view!
I love the venue, its location, the atmosphere, and its roof garden. The drink prices, however, leave me cold. Bought a Screwdriver once, and got charged $11. And the bartender used the well vodka to make it. Surely, we can do better than that.
Drinks are pretty reasonably priced. They have a fun fetish party on the weekends if thats your thing. Really easy to find. Clean bathroom and staff is pleasant. Rooftop is quite nice as well.
Its a club. Very basic. Decent rooftop deck with retractable roof. Okay. Drinks are overpriced and of cheap quality. Suspect theyre switching out cheaper booze into better bottles so dont bother ordering top shelf. Order cheap beer, dance, flirt with pretty people and enjoy your life.
Teach your customers to have respect for performances at the lower level. Tonight the crowd showed no respect for the artists performing!!! Why did I pay 15$ to hear bar chatter throughout each performance. I normally enjoy this spot but this was really disappointing do better!
Staff was rude, food was small portions and I mean like a sample size and it was disgusting. We had a promotion for a 2 hour brunch they let us in late and then tried to fight us about the drinks that were INCLUDED in our tickets. They give you a spicy menu of drinks like spicy mimosa, spicy margaritas, etc. They must have thrown cayenne pepper in the drinks just to persuade you to buy something outside of their brunch (drinks included) menu. I would not recommend and I would never go there again. They lie about their events becareful when buying tickets make sure you screenshit your event details so you can get everything you paid for.
Great terrace with a ton of space. My friend had a great birthday party there with a ton of people, and we had more than enough room. Decor is nice.
First time I went there amazing! A friend told me to check out a dj, I was sceptical. I had so much fun! The place is super low key and the crowd was amazing. I showed up at 10 pm knowing the dj I was there for was midnight on a Thursday and there were more ladies than guys until 1 am. It was a classy good time with a diverse group of good vibes people. Maybe I was lucky but I was impressed. The music was on point, the dance floor in the main room was roomy for everyone there. I dig the bathroom aesthetic. The bar service was quick and the security was humble. The doorman was cool and I managed to get him to smile at a joke. Around 3 am two gorgeous girls walked in for 15 mins scoped it out and one dude got their instagram. This guy! Hah
Awesome live music on Saturdays. Great rooftop that is enclosed so its cozy but very tropical in feel with all the plants. I was there around 7 on and it was dead but they book some AMAZING musical talent. When we left it started to get some for traffic so Im sure that by midnight it was the place to be. Also, parking was really easy to find after 7 pm and free. Outdoor ATM located right outside the establishment and lots of smoke shops and places to eat around. Prices are typical NYC prices for the area ($7 beers, $12 well drinks, etc.) Would definitely recommend for a night out or special occasion.
Rooftop was nice. Arrived early, no other patrons present. Would have been nice if finger foods were available. Requested menu, but wow different and limited compared to their posted online options.
What a disappointing venue. Having been to two music shows, not only does the sound suck, vocals get drowned, they don’t allow certain attire on the roof (it’s white trash), drinks are super over priced, and just an underwhelming experience. Avoid, and if you’re a band considering performing here, avoid at all costs. The first band I came to see filled the venue and they reported a significant amount less at the door than who showed up.
The security guard who checks identity upon entry has a horrible attitude, treats people badly, discriminates against them and yells at them. an unpleasant experience.
Would post negative stars if possible, every aspect was terrible. Our server was extremely rude and dictated what drinks we should order. The restrooms were akin to high school locker rooms at best. Never coming back, Would highly recommend NOT coming here. The Uber ride was much more pleasurable
Beautiful place. I had an extremely nice time at a rooftop party 11/12/18I have a major complaint, though. Immediately after ordering my drink, I was invited outside for a smoke. I left it unattended, came back 15 mins later. Seeing that it was still sitting, I brought it to the bartender to dispose of my unattended drink. She pressured me into keeping it because it was an expensive rum and coke. Even after I told her I wasnt looking for a replacement.Nothing happened, but I regret taking my drink back.I think it was extremely unprofessional of the bartender. My drink should have been tossed without a second question.Drinking a beverage unattended for a moment, much less 15 minutes, is an extremely irresponsible action and I am unhappy that behavior was facilitated.
Theres multiple levels to this place. Its not a massive place though as the bar isnt very wide. But theres good music on the ground floor with a decent amount of people, but not too crowded. The basement level was a little sparse on the night I was there so you can go there for respite.
Great place, each floor has its own style, music and vibe, so take your time to explore them all. The last floor is perfect to have a more relaxed and intimate date, whereas the basement has everything you need to have dance and meet new people.
Id like to say this place does have good service, attentive staff. But this place is over priced and had to worst cocktails I have ever tasted. First didnt have a cocktail list, but said they make cocktails. So ordered a Martini and Cosmo. Took Id say 30 seconds to do each one and unsurprisingly poor quality. Didnt finish the drinks, just left. Venue looks like you could have a good night out, just stick to beer
If I could give zero stars, I would. I attended for my best friend’s birthday brunch on the rooftop. Friendly Staff. They charged me $58 at the door, and the food and drinks were DISGUSTING. Cheap liquor, like Georgi Vodka, below well liquor. I ordered chicken and waffles, the waffles were microwaved. Just Gross. You would really be better off at IHOP. Save your money, or be disappointed.
I was this Sunday at the Delaney rooftop bar. I like this venue on both floors. I would definitely bring my friends here and recommend this to anyone who wants to experience an awesome rooftop view.
The space is decently laid out, its 2 floors with a good atmosphere in each space. But most importantly is the fact that they regularly host groups and events for what are alternative social groups. The fact that they are a great open and welcoming space is a huge part of why people go here.
The rooftop is cool and the drinks are good! Got ignored at the bar for a while though when I just wanted to pay the other day? Never had an issue until the other week with the bartender guy on the roof.
Best club on lower east side. always a blast, amazing staff, and FUN as hell. recommend!!!
Came here for an event in the rooftop portion. Cool space. Seating feels private because of the many trees and plants. Ambience was dark and cozy. The drinks were a but on the weak size though.
Love this rooftop! Drinks are great and its very lowkey. A few of my friends have had day parties here and its always so much fun. Also the roof is retractable so you can visit rain or shine.
A cool three-level bar with a club/concert venue in the bottom with the occasion battle of the bands, a rooftop bar, and a middle floor bar. Prices were ok for a LES bar, but not great. Gets pretty busy on Friday nights. If youre looking for a party, this place is a good start.
The price of drinks and food is not bad, but if youre hungry, eat before you get here. The pizza was embarrassing. It was super thin and there was no crust, it was just hard as a rock.. the sauce tasted like jarred ragu. The sandwiches are a little better, but the potato chips were stale. I assume that not a lot of people order food here?At times it was 1000 degrees in there. Upstairs is pretty cool and comfy.
This place looks nice, but the rooftop was super hot the night I went. It felt like I was suffocating up there. Our group moved down stairs where it was pleasant and more spacious, but we could only stay an hour and a half because we didnt have that area reserved for us and my group was very large. I actually had a decent time here, except for the rude bouncer who yelled at my friends. As we left, one of my friends stayed by the entrance to wait for someone who was getting their stuff. The bouncer had his panties in a bunch that night because he started yelling like a maniac at my friend to move from the entrance. He was standing to the side and in no way blocking it or obstructing the entrance, The issue is not his request to move, but his tone and disgusting behavior. Never going back.
Honestly, the place is a fire hazard . Although fun the busboy is terrible. Pushing paying patrons and more it’s extremely disrespectful. Just say it’s excuse me . If you come here expect to get pushed by a man collecting cups and pushing Patrons . Terrible .
This venue is really cool! You certainly cannot get bored with the three storey venue in the heart of the buzzing Lower East Side. Here we go and watching bands in the basement, dancing on the first floor to some genius and some not so ..... DJ mixes, hanging out on the beautiful roof garden ( the interior is created by palm trees bamboo furniture & super comfortable sofas).
Does this place practice the federal/ nyc law at all? Bouncers be pushing and hitting, discriminating against POC. I don’t remember this being legal in the US?
I LOVE COMING HERE!!!Everytime ive been here either for a private party or out with my friends its always a great experience. 3 floors of music. top floor super chill vibes, main floor where all the partying happens and downstairs for what ever alternative they have at the time. Never had a hiccup coming to this place. reasonably price drinks. I think any time you go here, youll definitely enjoy it.
Overall, this is not a bad spot. Ambiance and vibe are good, but it can become a bit busy. I havent been here since pre-COVID, so I am sure the crowds are not an issue now. Bathroom situation is a bit tricky and generally speaking, you will have to wait in line. Drink prices are also a bit high.
I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :)Drinks: Great.Space: This is a multi-level club/music venue. It has a very open and intimate floor layout on each level. The basement features live music performances, the main floor is the dance club, and the roof top is the lounge and an oasis. The dance floor gets really crowded, people get really drunk and bouncers are posted on the dance floor.Crowd: 20-30s Pick-up scene. Single scene.Service: Good.
Went for a private event so my overall impression may be skewed. Once I got up to the rooftop my good impression of the placed sealed firmly in place. I really love it up there. Obviously the view of the cars coming off the bridge isnt the fanciest, but they decorated and arranged the place so well with all the plants and the nice seating that it hardly matters. On a nice night thats not too warm or hot its a great place to hang out with friends. The main floors arrangement isnt too bad. And the basement performance space, while narrow, isnt too small for the kinds of acts youre likely to see.Id come back here again for an event or if I had reservations for the roofdeck.
One of my favorite bars in the city for live music. This bar is one that bands from far and wide aspire to list on their musical resume. I have discovered some really great acts here as well as attended some amazing after show parties on the top floor,
This bar/lounge has a mixed vibe depending on which floor you visit. The roof feels laid back and upscale. The first floor is nicely designed but Im not a fan of the crowd there. Its mostly after work happy hour crowd looking to flirt. I usually go to the parties in the basement which they call the performance space. Its small and the bathroom down there is gross. Take the stairs and use the one on the first floor. I only visit when friends are djing here otherwise its not the kind of place Id go to just to hang.
The great thing about living in the city is the fact that on any particular evening you can see live music for little or no cost. One of these places is The Delancey. Having been there several times it is a great little place to see a band perform. The atmosphere is that of an old jazz club but not old enough that thats all they play. I really enjoyed my experience there and hope to go back soon!
Ive had great times here in the past but it may have actually become more popular in recent months than when I used to frequent it a few years ago. The club itself is two floors, with the top floor full of couches and meant more for reservations and group parties. Its pretty spacious on the 2nd level, with lots of seating, but the music is contained to the bottom floor. That means the top level is great for catching up with friends and conversations, but you cant hear any of the music. The first floor, since its unrestricted, actually gets really packed to the point you cant really dance to the music. There are speakers on the 2nd floor, and maybe theyre actually using them now, but they werent when I last visited a month ago. With music, Id lean more towards recommending the venue.
First time visit. Went for a friends birthday celebration who never showed up. Too crowded and too young for me on Halloween Saturday night. That was a fire hazard.
They charged $58 to get in. No security nor safety checks. The drinks included in the admission were sweet well drinks and the platters were smaller than a lunch lunchable. Will never go back.
Attended an advertised event, with a cover charge. Well done on the great Aussie live music acts, however a couple of real issues:Minor issue:If you advertise that youre playing a particular radio stations count down list, and this is a major feature of your event, you need to play it loud enough that it can be heard over the crowd. This was a highly advertised and iconic feature of the event, and the music was inaudible.Major issue: You need to sort out why any of your staff might think that its OK to use your fire escape as the place to store boxes and rubbish bins A blocked fire escape in a crowded bar is a tragedy waiting to happen.
Love this place, great friendly bartender.Though I wish the sound in the basement space was a little better balanced.
Bouncers are generally rude and unreasonable. Tried to link up with friends but they wouldnt let us even though our friends came out and talked to the bouncer. This place clearly doesnt value its customers.
Im sad that the koi pond on the rooftop bar is empty, but other than that, I still think this is a nice place to gather large groups of people. Basement has a nice, adequate space for performances of all sorts. The dj that sometimes plays on the main floor is hit or miss, but the rooftop, especially during warmer times is always a fun time. Very accommodating staff as well.
Super horrible service! the bartender treats you with bad attitude... you ask him for a suggestion for a drink and he out of the bat says “of we don’t make fancy drinks”... what does that mean?! :s ... anyways if you go to a place obviously for some drinks you would expect a happy bartender and happy to serve! (Specially if is just 5pm and the bar is not even crowded... ) we ask for a margarita, and a whiskey on the rocks.. how can you FAIL that... :( really disappointed...
SMH bouncer was rude. I was turned away cus I was wearing “flats” but 3 white girls walked in with freaking flip flops like it was nothing. It was so nasty. If you are going to have this weird no flats policy, implement it on everyone equally. Never coming here again. You might think you guys are being facially neutral with this, but clearly the impact is discriminatory, maybe if I was a white girl I would have gotten in too.
Came to a party hosted in the VIP room, small area but great for parties of 40 or less. The drinks were weak, the music got to the point where I couldnt hear the person next to me unless they were yelling in my ear. The covered rooftop upstairs was perfect given the main floor was packed and it was raining outside however there was no dance floor.
I went to celebrate my birthday with brunch in the heated rooftop. But it was barely heated, and my friends and I were cold, and sat with our coats on the entire time. Couldnt enjoy it as much as I wouldve liked to.
I’ve come here to party numerous times with friends and family and always have a blast. Love the options for floors and variation of music. When I’m done with one I just go to the next floor. Drinks are okay if you get he right bartender.
Dont go to this place for food. Thats not really what its for. This is a place to hang out, meet people, drink and pretend to sway to incredibly loud music that you can still barely hear over the sound of the crowd. That said, the pizza and the turkey club panini are surprisingly good and inexpensive for a place that shouldnt really have food anyway.
Been here few times , it has been more fun recently since the Foundation Reggae crew moved here since Happy Ending shut down.Thursday nights are reggae nights here at Delancy now. Easy to get in , the place is really spacious and is spread across multiple levels. I have not been to the rooftop yet. Downstairs they have bands or pull upKind of music.Upstairs is mostly dancehall reggae music. The decor is really nice and there is lot of room to dance here. They have a large pretty room in the back with comfy sofas and chandeliers.Overall a great spot for Thursday reggae night.
Had a really fun birthday celebration! Music was great, hostess was attentive and accommodating for our large group (11 people). Definitely will go back !
Having gone to see some friends play an amazing show, I was genuinely pleased with the attentive, warm service. Everyone at Delancey seemed truly attuned to their role in creating a place I wanted to be, from the sound-person, to the bartender, to the guy who set up a sweet Greek buffet. Lovely atmosphere supporting the acts they invited. Looking forward to going back. :)
Nice place w nice outdoor patio on top floor. I believe the second floor is dancing. Place looks nice. I dont really have much more to add. Could be tricky getting a bunch of people in late at night if you dont call ahead and make some sort of reservation/name list.
Let me tell you a little something about the delancey. This place is a stand up place service-wise. I had a friend celebrating her 25th bday who got a little too drunk. Any other place would have booted us out and left us for dead. The staff here gave us access to a secondary stairscase to leave covertlyand was attentive and helpful till the minute our uber arrived. The security the management the staff all deserve an award for his nice and considerate they were when they didnt even have to be. Additionally their staff has always been attentive and helpful and sweet when to comes to my past experience ordering drinks and being served there. Long story short I just wanted it known that they won me over today and I will never forget that. I will suggest this place to all my friends going forward. Thank you for your help.
Great venue, bar is expensive and the shots are desievingly small they have some nice shot glasses that look big but arent lol. But I always have a good time seeing performances at this venue it comfortable they always have ac on. There is alot of room as well.
Fun lounge with live music in the basement, DJ on the main floor, and a green house like lounge up top. All fun scenes to hang out in especially while seeing a fun band or two before the DJ dance crowd fills the rest of the place up.
Went to the Delancey on a Monday for their Konkrete Jungle weekly event. The venue was very nice everything was clean and the beer i had was a decent price. The vibes here on Monday night are top notch! Be ready to dance!
