First time in NYC and got recommended this location. Needless to say it was 10/10! Elin did such an amazing job and got all of my knots out. She constantly checked how the pressure was and if I was comfortable. This will be my go to massage spot when I’m in NYC. Highly recommend!

Superb! My wife and I had an early morning 1 hr couples massage. We both felt like walking on clouds when we were done, so relaxed. The next day I noticed I was walking slightly different, better somehow, like if my joints had been realigned. I had the deep tissue option, and yet, the masseuse was so delicate in doing so. Highly recommended. We will do it again when were back in NYC. The place is clean and invites to relaxation. Try it, lots of options, you will be glad you did!

Had the best massage I’ve ever gotten today! I am a chronic pain sufferer with cervical radiculopathy and more muscle spasms and trigger points than I can count on both hands. Grand Central Bodywork is great! I had a 60-minute Swedish massage that really relaxed me. The masseuse also used elements of Thai massage and helped me stretch which I really liked. Afterward, I felt loose and light.The location was convenient for me coming from Queens. Even though it’s located in Midtown, they do a great job of making the room quiet and relaxing.Overall I would definitely visit again, maybe for a 90-minute treatment.

The staff is very friendly and they provide excellent service! My wife and I did a couples massage many years ago. And even after 5 years, they remembered us and our preferences. That is pretty amazing.The massage itself is a nice mix of pressure and stretching. Its a bit different than the standard Swedish and Deep Tissue massage although those are offered as well. They make sure to communicate with me throughout the massage to ensure the pressure is to my liking. Highly recommend

My husband and I had a truly lovely experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we felt relaxed and well taken care of. We spent some time together before our hot stone massage drinking some bubbles and eating chocolates. We were led back to the room which was so carefully prepared for us. Each of our massage therapists were extremely talented, and made sure we were comfortable. Time flew by, and we didnt feel any pressure to rush out quickly. These ladies are truly kind and talented, and were excited to go back again. Pro tip: book for something 90 minutes or longer...60 minutes was great, but definitely wishing wed booked a longer appointment. This was a highlight of our vacation to NYC!

Absolutely excellent experience from beginning to end! From the moment we walked in, everyone was so welcoming and sweet. They offered us tea, champagne, and even took a super cute Polaroid photo of my friend and me. I’ve had a lot of massages in my life and this one was definitely in my top 3 best messages I’ve ever had! Panukorn was my therapist, and he was so wonderful, so kind, and so skilled. He has a gift for healing! I could tell he wasn’t just giving me a generic once-over, he was truly feeling what my body needed and responding to it. If I lived in NYC, I would be back once a month. It was super last minute where they fit me and three other people in for a little birthday celebration and from the balloons to the cake to the champagne, I loved it all! This place is a hidden gem! My massage therapist was wonderful and really worked to get my muscles feeling better. She not only massaged, but also stretched me out, which was great. I had struggled with some foot pain due to wearing shoes with poor support, and she made it completely go away. I highly recommend!

She applied the perfect amount of pressure, working out painful areas in my shoulder and back with minimal discomfort. Nan was a genuinely warm and gracious therapist. Had an amazing experience here at this location. I came here and did the couples massage over the weekend for Valentine’s Day. Definitely worth the money. The staff was very nice and patient. The massage therapist that had me was very kind and gentle with me during my massage, always checking to make sure that I was ok. The workers bring a very warm welcoming environment. I reserved a couples massage for me and my fiancé and we had such a WONDERFUL time. It was his birthday and I mentioned this to Grand Central Bodywork and they had the room decorated BEAUTIFULLY. We all sang happy birthday, he blew out a candle on a yummy piece of cake and they gave us glasses of delicious champagne! It was a beautiful way to start the session. The music was so gentle and calming and the massage was so sooo good. It was EXACTLY what we needed! I have back pain, so I did a 2 hour therapeutic massage! It’s one of the greatest places I’ve ever been and the pain subsided. Very clean and quiet. Patty is so great and gentle, she gave me excellent service. It’s highly recommend it.

Atmosphere is pleasant and the staff were friendly. Expected a more relaxing (Swedish/South Asian) massage than just constantly pressing the muscles continuously. It didn’t help at all. Also felt like I didn’t receive value for money and half way I wanted to get up and walk away. The Thai massage next door costs way less and is a lot better. Disappointed simply because of the kind of massage they give that’s neither Asian nor Swedish but simply pressing the muscles in a very routine monotonous manner which was more irritable than relaxing.

This was me and my boyfriend’s first massage here in new york and it was simply the best massage experience we could have asked for! We took 1 hour deep tissue thai/combination massage. We had 2 female masseuses who paid special attention to the areas we told them to (back, legs). She even extra stretched me for the knots in my back that were causing stress. The room was lovely and they even gave us free champagne! I’m so coming back for the quality of massage and affordable price! 10/10 recommend!

Went here on a whim because it was close to work and I was having severe pain in my upper back. To summarize it really quick: Nolan is my new homie. Ive never had a massage where someone worked on me with their knees before. I had a 30 minute deep tissue and was able to move when I was done. The next morning, most of the pain was gone altogether.I highly recommend this spot. Its A+, professional, clean, on point, and the people who work there listen and care a lot. (Shout out to Nolan!!!)

I get massages regularly in New York, and around the world when traveling. Meena was one of the best massage therapists Ive ever had- she is extraordinary. She immediately picked up on the areas where I was tense (neck and shoulders) and proceeded to tackle each tense area patiently and meticulously. She was gentle, firm, and incredibly focused on releasing the tension. I cannot recommend her enough, and am already very much looking forward to going back.

The massage therapists are cheerful and accommodating to your preferences. The grand central location is perfect for travelers wanting to relax after trekking around the city or helping with jetlag.

I had a very bad pain on my whole body regarding to my career. So i was recommended to come here by my good friend. At first i thought it could be like a lightly massage but i really need something that very intensive to make my pain goes away but whatever i just give it a try. When i got to the place... it was very nice and clean place more than I expected and the location is in the center of transportation that is Grand Central!! Amazing aroma that really relaxing me while i was getting a massage by a guy who is very nice and polite. He did really good job and always asked me how i feel and which part that i needed to be treated. His massage was intensive but not too hard which was perfect!!! I felt my body so relaxing and light after i had this body work. I was so happy and definitely will go back again at least once week. Oh also the price was reasonable compared to the area and service. Recommended!!!

My name is Dr. John Gained and I am visiting New York ahead of speaking at a large conference. My wife scheduled this massage for me to help me to relax and it was by far the worse experience I have ever had a spa. The masseuse was texting the whole time, as I could hear the messages being sent when I was face down, and she used one hand for most of the massage. When I went to pay, I always tip because it is the right thing to do, but I knew I wouldnt tip my normal 20-30 percent because the experience was terrible. She attempted to charge me 40 percent and told me “management doesnt accept less then 40 percent.” Ive heard stories of things like this happening at businesses, but it has never happened to me.Overall, it was a terrible experience. We visit New York three times a year and we will never visit this business or recommend it again.

They tell you what you will tip them there was a young lady that gave me a massage the whole time I thought she was warming up and I was like is that it? The only good thing about this place is she had a bubbly attitude but she didnt understand English so everything you said to her she just laughed. The woman at the front desk is rude and you can tell shes really running stuff and its very expensive trust me not worth the $300 plus theyre asking for I went to a another massage parlor the following week because I felt like this place was a waste of money and the reviews are just fluff and that place was $75 for an hour and a half and it blew this place away I gave them one star because they made me feel very uncomfortable when it came to paying like you can feel tension I would not recommend this place where ever go back

Excellent couples massage experience overall! There were some nice little surprises included, such as champagne (I won’t give them all away). Everything was very professional and meaningful, including targeting our problem areas and periodically checking on whether the pressure was too much or too little. This is definitely on the pricey side, but you definitely get what you pay for, and I’ll definitely be a return customer.

My experience was great, I got a prenatal 90 min massage. Totally relaxed me completely although by the next day my back was back to feeling sore. My husband got a Swedish/deep tissue massage and did not enjoy it at all, he was actually sore the next day because of how hard the lady was massaging him. He was not relaxed and did not leave relaxed. I really suggest the prenatal massage though ! It was a great experience and an amazing environment in the spa, smells amazing, all of the workers are nice and they comfort you before starting massages.

Most other places were either completely booked up or too out of my price range, but Grand Central bodyworks was not too pricey and very flexible with scheduling. For our first time getting a professional massage, the therapists at Grand Central Bodyworks did not disappoint. They were very accommodating for us first timers, attentive to any sensitivities and extremely thorough in the massage. My entire back had never felt so good before, and the general atmosphere of our massage room was incredibly relaxing once they started the massage. I just had a great Thai massage here. I had knots all over my back and Ann didnt give up until I was well taken care of. Her pressure was strong and exactly what my back needed. This was the best Thai massage in nyc I have had. The rooms are very nice and private, and I enjoyed my experience. I made an appointment for a “couple’s massage” for my friend and myself as a bachelorette gift. Grand Central Bodywork was so accommodating. The room was filled with balloons, champagne, and chocolates. We even had little floral crowns and got a Polaroid picture taken together. The massages were great and my friend had an amazing time. I’m so thankful to this massage place for making her day so special. I will definitely be coming back again soon! If you have a special occasion I definitely recommend speaking to them about it. They will not disappoint. Also very clean establishment and friendly! Payment process was also very easy and smooth.

SUCH a great experience. It’s a little hard to find as there are no signs and you have to sign in with a doorman, but once you get upstairs you can feel the ambiance right away. I’ve had two massages here and each time, the rooms have been absolutely gorgeous with really relaxing music. The women are all so friendly and very attentive.Would highly recommend!

Excellent service. I called in late on a Friday night and despite that they accepted to give me a one hour appointment immediately. The person who attended me was named Rose and was very caring and careful, trying hard to ease the discomfort in some muscles. The ambience in the room was serene and soothing. I recommend the service highly. I felt so much better upon leaving than at entering.

The location is perfect for anyone coming in via Grand Central Station. The space is clean and well kept. The massage is spectacular. We were immediately accommodated (fortunately the staff were not busy at that time). Actually they allow you to book online, which in my opinion is more efficient than calling to make a reservation!

My shoulders have been tight and really uncomfortable for a few days but last night, the pain kept me up and the normal rolling, heat, and stretching wouldn’t help. I was pretty desperate after spending most of my night wide awake in extreme discomfort so I looked for a massage place near my office that could offer release in 30 minutes. Rose was my answer. I called grand central bodywork to see if they could fit me in and walked in 10 minutes later. I explained my pain and they recommended the deep tissue massage. I was concerned it would be too painful but it was exactly what I needed. I felt immediate relief from the massage which was just the right amount of pressure. The tension in my shoulders is gone and I feel so much better. I will very happily return to see Rose again!

But when I got there, they charged me a mandatory 20% tip, which I thought I paid enough for my massage, I didnt think they should be getting an extra tip. The tip cost me an extra $60. Had I known in advance that they will charge me, then I wouldnt have booked the massages.

If only I could give ZERO stars. My appoint was this past Thursday 4/4. I get to the building on time, ask security what floor it was on because that was never mentioned in any email to me. He said 7th, I go upstairs and all I see is an empty desk. I walk around into the other offices and asked somebody if this was the correct floor. She said yes but that she didnt know the room. I then called the number that s on google and email confirmation and the lady over the phone said shell be right there. 2 minutes later she comes out of the staircase to lead me up to the 8th floor. I thought to myself how unprofessional and disorganized this was. My appointment was for a deep tissue massage. It really just ended up being an intense swedish massage. The ladys technique (her name was jenny) was awful. She didnt take her time to massage different parts of the body. She mostly concentrated the pressure on my back and shoulders. 3 days later and I am still unable to sleep well. I have a doctors appointment because now my back pain is 10x worst. Do not go here if youre looking for quality and professionalism, especially for those of you who are athletic or going in due to previous trauma such as a broken bone. What a waste of time and money.
