Everyone here is so friendly and kind, and they always do an excellent job. The salon is very clean and spacious. They also have a masseuse and I got a ten minute message while my nails dried that was really amazing. I also accidentally left too much cash and they gave it back to me - so honest. It’s my favorite nail salon in NYC.

Bare Luxury is the only nail spa in Manhattan I have discovered that offers consistent and incredible service. I leave every-time with a flawless manicure and thorough neck massage. Aside from having trained professional nail techs, bare luxury is the cleanest nail spa I have ever been to in NJ and NY. Management takes pride in this spa and you can tell by every aspect. The owner checks your nails every time as you leave assuring you are please and accommodates all concerns. I am so happy to have found Bare Luxury and will never go elsewhere!

I have been going to bare luxury for about a year now, they really do make it feel like a luxury experience. Sam has been doing my nails for about a year and I don’t ever want to go to anyone else! They last me and always look amazing. She is a true talent and her and the entire staff are the sweetest staff you’ll meet. I also get my pedicures done here, they do an amazing job at any service they give. These are the beautiful sets sam has done for me over the year!

Excellent service, surprisingly quick yet thorough, and their standardized approach ensures consistency. My gel manicure lasts an impressive 20+ days without chipping. The ambience is wonderfully relaxing with lovely music, creating a quiet oasis. The manicurists were incredibly professional, delivering top-notch results. Highly recommend for a truly pampering experience!

Insanely overpriced. They are ripping off the consumer. $20 to soak off gel manicure. A regular manicure is $25. How could a get removal be the same price as the entire manicure? Theyre not going to last. On top of that, there is nothing special about their manicures. It chipped a day later. I wont be returning.

I came here for the first time to try it out because I live nearby and severely regret it. I got a dip manicure on my natural nails, and they immediately upcharged $10 extra to do dip on long nails (they are slightly longer than the tips of my fingers). They nickel and dime you mid way through your manicure to upcharge for things.I had this weird feeling my technician wasnt certified during the entire manicure. Ive been getting my nails done for years and she wasnt following the regular steps and drilled my natural nails down for so long, it was really painful.I wish I wouldve listened to my gut and either asked to see her certification or asked for a new technician because she drilled my natural nails so thin they split in half. Like my nails tore from cuticle to cuticle pretty far up on my nail beds. I dont know how to accurately describe how painful this is for me on an every day basis... my nail bed literally bleeds where they cracked. You dont realize how much you use your hands and nails for until youre in this situation. Its going to take so long to grow out and fully heal and Im so sad. I really wouldnt recommend coming here, I highly question if all their technicians have the necessary training and certifications. I paid over $100 for my manicure.

Came here yesterday for a gel manicure. The lady was rushing my manicure the entire time. I lost count how many times she cut me. My nails were on fire leaving from all the cuts and one finger was swollen this morning from it. She also got nail polish all over my hands and I had to keep pointing it out to her to clean it up. Best part of all, my thumb and pinky nails the gel fell completely off today! So glad I paid $60 for something to last 12 hours. She and the owner even had the nerve to question why I did not tip! Plenty of other nail salons to go to nearby

Update! My nails started chipping after 1-2 weeks. They fixed the first two times within the first week. I’m not mad since 2 weeks is their advised timeline but other nail salon’s last longer. This probably is brigade they use less toxic materials?Original:This is how a nail salon should be! Nice and relaxing. At my price range, I’m so used to being mistreated, sometimes yelled at, but the staff here are SO nice here I was surprised when they said yes to every request. The gel mani was around $60 by cash (forgot exact number), sounds expensive but it’s average or even low in the area, but I got more than its worth. Very soon into the mani, someone gave me a shoulder great massage and asked if I wanted to add 10 min for $18. I usually don’t like sales tactic like this but the massage was so good I said yes!The owner seems very nice to the staff which very important to me and everyone seems to be happy there. It’s a great atmosphere! Super clean as well. What made me write the review was when I went back with broken nails after 7 days (my fault because I’m very clumsy), they fixed them for me and refused to charge me. I gave them a tip and left happily. So glad to find this new place!Maria is awesome, she’s so calm you know she’s a pro. I just trusted her opinion and glad I did.The only critique was I wish the massage was offered later in the manicure so I could relax instead of trying to pick colors while enjoying the massage.

Very warm greating😌 Host is very attentive and will recommend treatments according to your needs (especially good if, like me, you have mysterious allergies to chemicals used in nail products🥶).The kind nail specialist did a gorgeous work of art with my poorly maintained hands. The cherry on top was their massage therapist who untied more knots in my upper back in the last 10 minutes of the manicure than any one ever did in 60m minutes. Will be back and would definitely recommend!

So glad there’s a new nail salon in the neighborhood! They are professional, meticulous to detail, and clean- 1 time use files, plastic liners, disinfectant machines, spacious area etc...There’s a great gel polish line in the yellow bottle with fewer toxins and easy soak off; my nails came out so shiny and weren’t damaged afterwards. Well worth the price and experience.I will be a coming back soon for a pedicure.

For a very expensive service I find myself going back to get fixes too often. Dip manicure has lasted 1-2 days before chipping (not to mention cracking) - and I just cannot spend the time to go back to the salon (return to office….) or am traveling and unable to go and get them fixed (like right now) For $84 for a dip mani this is an absolute rip off. Attaching photos of 24 hours(!) after a dip mani. Am out of the country so coming in to get them fixed is out of the questionThis has happened with all of my manis here. At first I thought I was being too hard on my nails but this is happening too frequently for the cost.Go anywhere but here. The only reason this is a two star is I do like the facility but ridiculously expensive for the poor quality.

Just insanely overpriced. was just charged 21 dollars JUST TO SOAK my nails which is absurd. if you wanna come for a regular manicure for 25 dollars, fine, anything fancier forget it. you can get it done 60-70% of the prices they charge here for mediocre service.

Best manicure I’ve gotten in nyc! It’s more expensive than what I was used to paying but it also lasted way longer and didn’t chip. The staff focus on every little detail and really take their time. Even the owner jumped in to help me with a broken nail situation. The salon itself is spacious and clean. I will definitely keep coming back here, even if I move out of the neighborhood.

Really disappointing experience.Cashier lady kept walking over to me during pedicure asking for payment. My daughter’s nail was chipping before we left and they would not fix it, and they overcharged me by almost $40 (as if their prices were not astronomical already) when this was pointed out they started fudging their numbers to justify the higher price. Truly sad because we were repeat customers.

Such a convenient location in Battery Park, and my gel manicure ($50 cash without tip) lasted 4 weeks! The upsell you on the pedicure spa treatments which I don’t think are worth it unless you fancy treating yourself. I always get a 10min or 20min massage afterwards (separate chair, 10mins = $18) as they’re great and weirdly cheaper than the full hour at $120. Great service, clean and they actually take care of their work. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I’ve been going to 64 Nails on the W. 64th for years and they always do a beautiful job with my nails. Now they’ve opened a second location at Battery Park City and it is equally good! Manicurists take their time with your mani/pedi, listen to exactly what you want, and the results show. I get gel manicures with the clean, less toxic brands, which they have more than a few, and my manicures never chip. I usually have to have the polish soaked off after three weeks. I would highly recommend.

SUCH A SCAM. Money hungry. I got a UV gel FILL— on the website it said $90– when I checked out it was $151, when I left I could not wrap my brain around how that price was legit so I called and they said they charge $90 for the fill and $30 for COLOR? Like what? Do they expect people to just get a gel fill with no color? I will be going back to my old salon (Golden House) even though it’s a little further away. Scam scam scam

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Bare Luxe Nail Salon, and I must say it was incredibly disappointing. I had made an appointment specifically to have my gel nails removed and get a regular manicure. However, my entire visit was marred by the salons unprofessionalism and disregard for customer service.Upon arriving at the salon, another woman had requested the exact same service as me—gel nail removal. The staff immediately attended to her, but when I was later assisted, they claimed that the technician who removes gel manicure was unavailable for an hour, even though I arrived at my agreed upon appointment. It was infuriating to witness the blatant favoritism and inconsistency in their service. When I politely expressed my concern and inquired about my appointment, the staff nonchalantly claimed that the technician who removes gel nails was suddenly unavailable. Yet, it was clear that they were just making excuses, as they had no problem assisting the woman who arrived after me with the same service. This incident made it abundantly clear that the concept of appointments holds no value at Bare Luxe Nail Salon. They evidently lack basic organization and respect for their customers time. It is completely unacceptable to prioritize one customer over another, especially when they have made prior arrangements. In conclusion, my visit to Bare Luxe Nail Salon was an absolute disaster. Their disregard for appointments, the preferential treatment given to other customers, and the lack of accountability demonstrated by the staff were all indicators of their subpar service. I strongly advise anyone seeking quality nail care to avoid this salon at all costs.

Shady business! Make sure to ask for the price upfront. I was charged 38$ for gel polish on top of the pedicure price, far more that I was expecting. What makes it worse is that it seemed that the woman at the register just made up the price as I was getting ready to pay. I still tipped the technician 20% because it’s not her fault and she did a good job, but that brought me to total of 163$ for a gel pedicure which is outrageous. I guess I learned my lesson the hard way but you don’t have to.

Been there 4 times and each time it’s gotten worse. Some technicians have left and quality is not here. It’s expensive, cheapest pedicure starts at $65. I got a $75 green tea pedicure and they cut my toe so deep it took 2 weeks to heal. You’re paying for the cleanliness and location, not the service.

They are on the pricier side but they did a great job with my nails! However, I went back to get my eyebrows done yesterday and after she waxed my brows she tried to put some sort of gel that really burned. She said my skin was sensitive and I thought so too. This morning, I woke up with burns under my eyebrows. The worst burn I’ve ever had in my life. It’s so painful I can’t even wash my face. I paid $22 for this, and I’m highly disappointed in this service.

Ok hear me out. At first glance the prices are out the wazoo!!! It is definitely higher than average price. I decided to try them out because i am all for giving new businesses a chance.First it is really clean and spacious in there. Like others said, the decor is super cute!!! Amazing ambiance but for me, it was the fact that all the tools were super clean. The private rooms looked very well kept too. The places I’ve gone to in nyc were cramped and their equipment looked dirty with nail dust but this place is SPARKLING and SPOTLESS.I did a simple gel manicure and it was $50 (normally i would pay $35!). Honestly, this is the best gel manicure I’ve gotten so far. Like truly so meticulous and careful. Also my nail technician was so careful i was not pinched or nicked at all! The gel manicure looks SO good like my cuticles look perfect and it looks sooo natural. I’m really impressed and i will definitely be going back.
