I always love discovering a new speakeasy in the area and this spot is absolutely perfect for date night, definitely a first date spot as well. It’s hidden above the coolest little burger joint and has a 1920s themed lounge with very unique drinks that will have you exploring the whole menu!My absolute favorite drink that I will be back for was the “Button Man”, served with Blended scotch, Mr. Black Coffee, Licor 43, Drambouie, angostura on the rocks with an orange twist.
Garfunkels is not only a speak easy bar but it also has afternoon tea service. As of this posting theres a groupon available which I purchased for a weekend excursion. Garfunkels is located above a burger joint so I can see how some people might have trouble finding it. We made a reservation for the time in which it opened and when we rang the bell no one answered. One of the burger porters saw our confusion and immediately let the staff at Garfunkles know. We didnt have to wait long at all. We were led upstairs and the place was empty. The ambiance was nice. Lots of plush seating, art, books, and 1920s music. My partner and I had the place to ourselves for atleast 40 minutes before another group came in. It was the perfect way to catch up after a busy week. Service was slow, but it in many ways thats a luxury that we often dont get to experience in NYC. Im certainly considering coming back here as a way to catch up with friends I havent seen in awhile. We were served champagne first. I found the selection to be somewhat sweet but my partner thought it was perfect. There were several options for teas ranging from mint, to Earl Grey. We both are Earl Grey fans and thought the brew was flavorful. The menu included finger sandwiches (vegetarian and non), cream scones, deviled eggs, tea cakes, macaroons, cupcakes, and petit four. The food was good. I loved the chicken salad sandwiches. I left full and enjoyed the chill morning.
Garfunkels is a traditional speak easy, with a very cool entrance through a door that looks like a safe. As you get upstairs, it opens up to have about 2 dozen tables. The service is great, very friendly. Options for drinks are plentiful, prices are a bit high but theyre good pours. Overall a really cool experience though so try to book a reservation ahead of time if possible.
I came to Garfunkel’s for one of their jazz nights that are held on Wednesdays (8-11 PM). It was a lovely and cozy atmosphere. Dimly lit, kind of noir vibes, and the bartender and server were very nice and inviting. Because it’s a speakeasy, it’s not your average bar experience with obnoxious noise and crowds. It’s hidden away and provides an intimate atmosphere perfect for couples, small groups, and enjoying it solo. They recommend you make a reservation on Yelp before coming because it is a smaller space. A single drink is priced around $18-20+ depending on what you get. Try the “table for two” drink… it won’t disappoint!
Honestly it was sorta weird. Website made it seem like there would be food options available (true at every other above restaurant speakeasy) but we were told they didnt have a food license. Would only recommend if you eat before. Cocktails were fine, but the ambiance felt off... they need some acoustic work in there.
Amazing speakeasy in east village on the first floor of the building. The main entrance is a regular bar where you check in so they can escort you to the entrance at the back. The entrance is a safe door with a code. One you enter, you go up through the stairs to the main hall.Loved the atmosphere, very cozy and friendly staff.Cocktail menu with fun names, I ordered button manLive Jazz available too.
Garfunkel was part of our New York City Speakeasy style bar hopping evening. The entrance was through Burgary and we literally went through a bank vault towards the lounge upstairs which was sleek with nice music selection too. The drinks were awesome too..I tried the Blood Diamond (gin based cocktail) which was eloquently mixed. Will definitely return here.
Sunday, July 2nd around 6:45 pm.. This was our 2nd choice when reading up about Speakeasys in Brooklyn, Lower Manhattan. My Nephew who was celebrating his 21st Birthday was super excited about the history, more so than the legal age drinking. Our first choice, Backroom, around the corner was Thee worst in hospitality and extremely rude. We walked out, 9 people, with one drink. We were so sad UNTIL GARFUNKELS!! The bartender downstairs at the street level bar, greeted us and escorted us through the bank door safe opening. They seated all 9 of us so comfy on couches. The bartenders and waitress upstairs nothing short of amazing. Not only were the drinks SUPERB but they were super sweet offering drink recommendations for everyone. Also they surprised us with a French Vanilla ice cream and Vodka shake beverage with a sparkler coming out for his birthday! I wish I lived less Than an hour away, I would go once a week and become a regular. GREAT JOB GARFUNKELS! BTW, Decor, music, the vibe, the outfits.... Perfect! DRINKS: BLOOD DIAMOND, TABLE FOR TWO, DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR and Expresso Martinis! AMAZING. THANK you All for your kindness and making us feel so special!
This speak easy is one of NYCs hidden gems. The service was impeccable and the drinks are top notch. The ambiance was exactly what we needed to relax and enjoy a relaxing drink. Garfunkels is easily one of the best places to go and enjoy a quiet drink. The decor is top notch and the bartenders we very informative to the ingredients in there drinks. The professionalism and skills that the bartenders displayed while serving us was far superior to other places. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to go out and enjoy a drink and food.
Cute speakeasy and was a great find for delicious cocktails on the LES. Definitely make a reservation as the place is small but we had great comfy chairs to enjoy our drinks in. Had 2 off the menu drinks first then did bartender’s choice for the 2nd round and loved everything!
Came here on a Sunday to case this Joint. Access via Burgary through a Vault door - if you come late nights, you will need to ring the buzzer outside.Word is the vault door, through which you enter, is very old. Well at most, 120 years as of this review in 11/2021.Note that coming on any other day may very well require a reservation - Advice from one of the Bartenders.Drinks - what can I say, if you came here for drinks, you wont be disappointed. Actually, theres nothing else but liquor on the second floor. A speakeasy heads dreamNice chill vibes. 😌
Its a bar, not a food venue, hence the missing score. The staff were superb from the moment we entered through the discrete vault door and up the stairs, the hostess was chatty and engaging, the barman clearly knows what hes doing.Gorgeous little venue, and a real hidden gem, with great atmosphere. Very intimate and really quite nice.Tasty cocktails and a thoroughly enjoyable evening, thank you.
This used to be one of our favorite speakeasies to go to in the lower east side, unfortunately, it seems the service here has gone downhill. There are other places in the area that deserve your business more. It’s a shame, really, since the atmosphere is pretty nice and the drinks are good; just wish the service kept up.
If you want to practice your patience this is the place. Booked a table at 9pm, we were still waiting at 945pm.... cocktails may be good but definitely did not worth waiting so much time. After being ignored by the service staff we left and found and nice bar close by!
Awesome place to have a few drinks and have a good time with friends or a date . the best. will be going back soon.
This is a cute, cozy spot. I had the bartenders choice and loved the drink they made for me. Great for a date, after work drinks, or just meeting with friends. The music wasnt too loud and has a great vibe.
Loved the drinks, service, decor, and vibes. Grabbed an amazing burger first downstairs at the Burgary and headed upstairs afterwards.
Speakeasy on top of a burger bar. Really cute inside, great for a date. It’s dim but unlike some speakeasies I’ve been too not so dark you can’t read the menu or see the face of the person you’re with so i consider that a major plus. I had the Pretty Boy Floyd and would highly recommend. Tried another and can’t remember the name but it was also great. Sips of my partners were also pleasant. I would say it’s hard to go wrong. Found the service to be a little inattentive but the flip side of that is they leave you alone so you can really enjoy the company you’re having a drink with.
An amazing speakeasy style bar. Entering through the bank vault, the decor, and not least the cocktail choices were fantastic.Strong recommendation for the “Vested Interest” cocktail. What a creative and unique drink!!
Garfunkels was a lot of fun. The bouncer in the Burgary was very flexible and moved around our reservation that we had for later in the evening. Walk through the vault and you are transported to a different time where you had to drink in dark, swanky places that were hidden from the world. The Table For Two drink was truly spectacular, we had a couple of those.
The cocktails here are amazing. They are made with care and attention to balance, presentation and overall quality. They are fantastic drinks... worth talking about. The atmosphere is great. seating areas for your group, separated enough from others so that there isnt any crowding or weirdness. The decor is comfortable and relaxed. Lots of pillows and plush. The walls are filled with interesting things to look at. Low lighting, swanky music at just the right volume to cover the mood but not overpowering. Note that if you are seated by the window in the winter you will need a coat. The service was abysmal. The cocktail wait staff was high AF. They would have to ask you two and three times what you ordered, drinks would take an hour to come... your only supposed to have a 70 minute seating so that makes it hard to drink your expensive drink before you have to go. More than one table had a problem when their expensive drink showed up after their check and they were told their time was up. I could not help thinking about how the owner would be loosing his/her mind if he/she knew what was happening with the service end of things here. The latrine (thats the word for it) was disgusting, it had not been attended to all evening. How do you bring a date here and have her deal with that? All in all, I give Garfunkels 4/5 and I would definitely repeat in spite of the shortcomings. The drinks are sublime and the atmosphere incredible. Note the things I mentioned but give this one a shot.
Gratuity added to bill. No chance of modifying. And applied 20%.Don’t charge me a god damn tip automatically. When I go out, I’m expecting to pay for food and any great service that comes along with it. Don’t tell me what you’re going to set it to for me.
Went here last night to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It was amazing. They accommodated us although we missed our reservation and we’re converted to walk-in waitlist, then we added more people to our party. Service was great from the host/doorman Jimmy to the server (oops, didn’t catch her name). My friend even got a free round of shots and sparklers for her birthday. Would definitely recommend this place. Love the cocktail selections and the decor. Stairs can be tricky if you’re inebriated, but staff were sure to provide proper lighting and kept telling us about unexpected additional steps along the way. Nice mixed crowd. I think everyone is welcomed. I would feel safe bringing people from work after hours or my party animal friends. Was a little loud but not overwhelming. I enjoyed the vibe.
Got a bartenders choice, best drink Ive ever had.Thats all
Similar to others, our group of 3 was essentially kicked out after 45 minutes even though there were empty tables and still early in the evening (~7p). There are so many other speakeasies in NYC; nothing remarkable here.
Go early for a more quiet, intimate experience. The cocktails are lovely and the staff is attentive. Theres an hour limit on reservations, so youll get a couple drinks in while catching up with your party. If youre feeling hungry, the burgary below is 👌
After all the good reviews this was a huge disappointment. The bar and bartender downstairs where you wait was so much better. He was great. Garfunkel space was small and not particularly charming. Our drinks were awful. They had the totally wrong alcohol in them.
It’s a beautiful setting in a cool spot above a burger joint. My wife and I were there for an hour and a half and only had 2 drinks each… after sitting down it took 40mins to get our first drinks, which was quite surprising as it was less than half full. The cocktails on the menu were great, but the recommendations weren’t (but that’s prob our communication), was also disappointed that the barman/server didn’t share what was in the recommended cocktails…It seems like there are your groups that are allocated slots, which wasn’t good for the vibe in there. This is a tourist location and not a local drinking spot, which is totally fine. But we went to drink and were pretty pretty disappointed.
Drinks are good, not great.Waitress is not friendly, wanted to kick us out after an hour even though they took 20 min getting us in in the first place. Rude about drink orders.Overall, drinks don’t make up for the rude service. Wouldn’t come back.
Went to this bar for the first time after finding it online. It was very crowded which was nice to see after the pandemic. Takes 10-20 minutes to place an order for 5 drinks and another 20-30 minutes to get the drinks. There was 1 bartender and 1 waiter making the bar significantly understaffed. Drinks extremely overpriced considering the already small glasses come half full. It almost looked as if someone drank half of the drinks before they even got to the table, but I am sure this is just a cost cutting maneuver. They do have a few good drinks, but the vast majority could be made comparably at your local college bar.***Most importantly: On the menu is an option for bartenders choice. One of the gentlemen in my party requested this. He was then asked what liquor he prefers. We thought it would be fun to let the bartender choose everything and ensured the waiter we would not send the drink bank no matter what. The waiter continued to ask what liquor and again he mentioned whatever the bartender suggests or makes best. Waiter got very frustrated and yelled at the bartender throw me a double mezcal and slammed it down on the table. He think finished taking the rest of our drink orders. Looking back at it maybe this is the best way to a get a drink before sunrise, because it was the fastest drink our table received. When bringing over the second round of drinks, someone had forgotten what they had ordered, and politely said thank you. Waiter visibly scoffed and shook his head in disbelief as if this was a crime. Overall customer service was absolutely awful and to be quite honest the product (cocktails) were marginal at best. The speakeasy room is the only thing this place has going for it.I would avoid this cocktail bar at all costs. Patent pending and others are significantly better and can give you the gimmick speakeasy feel if you so desire, while at the same time serving non-diluted well made drinks.
I Had Resvations that were made on the website and brought a friend from out of town and was talking up this place all night. We arrived and buzzed the door bell, waited for 20 min outside and even waited in the staircase well for another 10 min. No one came to great us at all. The place was open as we heard the music and people. This is sad because this used to be one of my favorite places to stop in and grab a cocktail. This is beyond Rude and unproffesioal, for a customer to take time out to make a reservation and not even be adressed nor granted entry at all with out a reason is beyond disappointing and in extremely poor taste. Not only did you lose a customer but I assure you, being in the industry I will utilize my word of mouth.P.SThe location was clearly open as there were patrons inside, music was going and it was 9pm. As directed on the sign outside when burglary is closed you must press the button and wait if you have a confirmed reservation and someone will greet you. Poor experience, service followed by a poor reply genuinely not surprised.
Great drink but the 45 minute time frame didnt give much time to enjoy cocktails. Took 20 mins to get a drink and after 35 minutes they dropped the check and refused to let us order a second.Theres many other speakeasies in NYC that want people to enjoy the experience and dont act like a Great Clips.
The drinks here are AMAZING! Worth every penned. We tried like a lot of different things but every drink was very very very well done. The bartender is an artist ♥️
The Tea Room upstairs is adorable, The tea, food, and service were wonderful.
Really intimate place to drink with friends and thankfully they can do mocktails for expecting moms and those abstaining! Its one of those places that can make you custom cocktails based on your liquor and flavor preferences. Super friendly staff make this place a strong five star.
Had a great experience here! After leaving another nearby speakeasy, we came by here and this by far had the coolest and most discrete. The entrance is inside a burger place whose food also looks delicious. We didn’t eat there but the bartender took us to the secret entrance, and it was really unique so I won’t disclose as you must experience it! The space was super intimate and the drinks were unique. I had a cigar cap, an old finished with cigar ashes on top of the orange garnish. We loved the spot for the cool decor, intimacy and unique drinks.
Make reservations now (use the Yelp app) and thank me later. Seriously, how many speakeasies let you book in advance?Ive been here so many times I lost count. Bring a date, bring a few friends, bring a few dates, you cant go wrong. The space is intimate first, romantic second. Have conversations without shouting your head off.Their menu features cocktails both familiar and experimental. I usually stick to a single spirit and have them surprise me. If youre the particularly prickly picky type, let your bartender know whats worked for you before.Shout-out to Freddy, Noe, Jason, and the rest of the staff for always being so welcoming. 💯
The 2 of us had been there for only 30 minutes and ordered 4 drinks and they brought our check without us asking for it. Then at 40 mins, they basically forced us out. For $100 for 3 cocktails and a beer that apparently youre forced to chug, you can do much better. We wont be returning and you should reconsider as well.
Came here after looking for a speakeasy that wasn’t full or had a long wait. This place is great as it is spacious, yet still has the feeling of exclusivity as you are taken through large vaulted doors to the room above. The drink menu was also extensive and had a variety for every time of flavor you would want! The layout of the bar was relaxed and you didn’t feel holed up with no space to talk. Definitely would recommend!
The cocktails here are delicious, strong too!. If you like bourbon definitely try the Sip Bite Sip
Very cool space, pricey drinks but thats OK, issue for me, we were handed our bill after 45 mins, practically being asked to leave. we were 2 dudes (2 dads!) just having drinks and talking, it was a bit rude.
Absolutely awful, rude waitstaff. I came in on time for my reservation and was told that they “were setting up” and I had to “please leave” with the grumpiest face. They make you wait outside without saying anything for 20 mins. I see others going in so I go too and the same waitstaff from above asks me if I have a reservation (party of 1, empty bar and tables), as if he had never seen me before. He looked burdened by my presence. The only time he was decently pleasant was when we handed me my bill with an already added-in tip.Cool space but the staff can ruin your day.
The drinks were good but I wouldn’t go back. There were 4 of us with no reservation but we were billed 2 extra charges for a reservation and 5 ppl. We were also told we could only stay for 1 drink since we had no reservation. When the host saw the server asking us for another round he nixed it saying there was another reservation coming. Lol, there were other empty tables and no one waiting at the door. I think he was trying to create a vibe of exclusivity. I agree with the other reviewers that the music was a bit too loud.
Elegant decor/lighting, well-made drinks at reasonable prices. Cynthia was very kind and provided execellent service. Will be back.
I had great expectations for this place given the reviews on Yelp. Its a fun speakeasy, and having all cocktails costing $15 makes ordering simple. The service was courteous and very attentive, although this may be because there was only one other party in the room. The cocktails themselves, if you order direct from the menu, are about as good as one would expect from a highly-rated cocktail bar, but I was a bit disappointed by the custom cocktail I ordered--not quite as strong or complex as I had hoped for. That said, we ordered a good variety from the menu and everyone else in our group was happy. My only two complaints are 1) they asked us to confirm the reservation at least twice, but when we arrived, the place was empty; and 2) a chair was missing from our table. This mistake was easily rectified, but we were a bit cramped, despite there being plenty of room in the lounge for us to spread out.I understand that Garfunkels is on the newer side, and I imagine these issues will get sorted out with more time in the business. They will definitely be on my list the next time Im passing through NYC.
Located upstairs from the restaurant. The car is very cozy, intimate and well decorated. The drinks are crafted well with care. The staff was friendly and great vibes. Perfect place for a few cocktails with friends.
Cool place!Heard about this speakeasy spot from Youtube, and we knew we had to check this spot out. We tried the Table for Two and the HSBC cocktails. Table for Two was beautifully presented with an orchid and included beautiful floral flavors of the jasmine-infused vodka, making it very easy to sip on. HSBC packed a punch! I was intrigued by the addition of the Oaxacan chocolate, but this cocktail was strong and not sweet, which I appreciated.Service was a bit slow, but it was to be expected as the place was crowded on a Friday night.Make sure you get reservations in advance!
$38 dollar drink you say? Dishonest staff who steal from customers. Read on…Came on Friday, March 4th with a group of friends. Yes, the service is excellent, drinks yummy and gorgeous decor. But do NOT let it trick you. They don’t tell you its a 45 mins limit and that you will be ushered out with the lie that others are waiting downstairs (there was no line when we left). What they won’t advertise is they steal money. Our server was a petite dark haired girl and a thin blonde girl issued us our check. Jimmy was the manager/host of the night. Our check came to $155; which includes a 25% required gratuity. We were fine and understanding with that rule. It is fair. What is NOT fair was the dark haired girl took our payment - $70 in cash towards the bill and was asked for the rest to go on a credit card. She sneakily charged the full $155 (which $38 was her tip) on the card and KEPT the other $70 to herself. Treating herself to a $108 tip!!! She then came over; handed the card back to my friend with no receipt and pushed us to leave. I had to use the restroom and she told me to go downstairs instead. She did this sneaky in hopes we didn’t notice she STOLE from us. We didn’t realize until the next morning when we looked at the bank account to see what she did. With out a receipt and her stealing cash we had no grounds to make a legal complaint. Two of us had to cover the $155 leading to each drink costing $38 each.I know times are tough, but doing this to customers leads to loss of return patrons. Be careful if you go - it’s dark and they move quick with your money. Boycotting this dishonest place. Do not recommend.
Worst service experience I have had in a while. Had a reservation and they completely forgot about it, even though I confirmed it the day before. Had to wait for 30-40 minutes to get a drink, after waiting for 30 minutes to get seated. The drinks were good though.
Bad experience I am an hispanic and an hispanic bartender poured himself a shot of tequila and charged me for it, and then when I asked why is he charging me for the drink he said that’s why our countries are doing bad because we are cheap.
Nice little speakeasy that has a fantastic bar upstairs with 50s style decor. Private and intimate seating is perfect for a classy date or night out! My gf went out here and the drinks were lit! I am a huge bourbon guy so check out the midnight bourbon. They also have Tea tastings on Thurs-Sun which was pretty cool too!
Horrible place had reservations and was left waiting outside for over 45 min with a guest from out of town. Then when a group came out walked up the stairs knocked and was ingnored. Truly unprofessional, its unfortunate because this used to be a one of my go to places and a place I would recommend. I dont know if its new staff or management but I assure you that this location will get no business on my behalf ever again.
Arrived at 12:45 on a Saturday afternoon, hoping to enjoy a cocktail or 2. There was one other couple in the space that had about 15-20 tables. The website indicates that Garfunkels closes at 4PM and reopens later in the evening. After a lady behind the bar invited my friend and I to have a seat at one of the two tables in the bar that wasnt set up for afternoon tea, another lady approached us to ask if we had a reservation. When we replied that we did not, we were told that the bar was reservations only and that they did not accept same day reservations. She then explained that the first woman whod offered us seating had only recently started working there and didnt understand the rules.Needless to say, my friend and I were flabbergasted. Especially when we went on to read reviews from people that stated that theyd popped in for a drink while waiting for a table across the street. As we left, I said So, this place is wide open, and youre telling me that youre not interested in taking my money... Thats fine, well leave. The woman claimed that they had other reservations coming in, but again, it was 12:45 and the place was closing at 4:00.We were mortified, but the message was received. They dont serve my kind there... Without a reservation, of course.
Garfunkel is on the upper level of Burgary, a very cute speakeasy with a broad variety of cocktails. Was here on a Friday night, was a bit busy when we got there and we had to share a table with some girls at first. Service was good but on the slow sideAll in all I would definitely go back. Its also a cute date place!
Rude, smarmy waitstaff really holds this space back from being truly great. The space itself is fantastic, very romantic. However, the lead bartender should hold his tounge when his guests are within earshot of him, especially when making jokes at their expense. The drinks arent even that good and dont justify the price. Save yourself the embarrassment and drink at one of the countless better cocktail bars in the city. Your wallet will thank you too.
Speakeasy lounge with a wide variety of cocktails. The bartenders are knowledgeable and we did bartenders choice with a profile to guide their recipe. Great work!
Dissapointing sevice and drinksWe ordered for 10:15pm, got our table only at 11:00pm!!!!!During the wait we had the downstairs, burgary onion rings, which were the greasiest food I ever had. Of course we were rushed to our table 1 minute after we got the food, which we couldnt take with us.The upstairs bar was beautiful decorated for a tea place, but didnt have the look, color and vibe of a bar and definitely not of a speakeasy.Service- It took us 7 attempts to get the service to notice us -finaly we had to call him outload. He was nice but not helpful and didnt even let us finish sentence of our questions on the orders.Drinks -not worth the price or the hype. All drinka on the cart were very mediocre, with lemon (!) Repeating in most of them as the adding. So there wasnt really a variety of choice. I took the bartender choice, which was just two whisky and Honey.. the other drink was a fancy name for a tinny whisky sour -and not even a good one.As said. Not worth the hype (for a late nigh at least).
The atmosphere is great, that’s true. It is a relatively small space but has a great speakeasy vibe. The server seemed a little zonked, he was barely mumbling. Ultimately, they turned the music up so loud that it almost seemed intentional. It worked; everyone left (it wasn’t closing time yet).
If you’re looking for a cozy, sexy, out of the way date night, this is the place. Trust me. Also burgers at the burger place below are probably top 6 burgers in the les
Drinks arent well balanced. Great space. Friendly bartenders but stick to something simple served neat or on the rocks. Looks like a speakeasy but doesnt drink like one.
We didnt even know this place existed until we stumbled upon it. There was a reservation process, but luckily they were able to let us up for a half hour. Drinks and the atmosphere was great. The chairs at the table were a little awkward height for our friend who kept hitting their knees.
If you want to try good cocktails this is a place you must visit. Make sure you make reservation before as this place is heavily booked.
One of the best cocktails I have ever had. The environment was very cool, but not much of a speakeasy. The entrance was wide very obvious.
Expensive but also exclusive. I wouldnt have known this place existed unless someone else told me about it. The cocktails are delicious and the decor is old timey and classy. Definitely a good spot for a date
Not worth your time or money. Overhyped and overpriced - plenty of better spots to spend your money at.
I attended Sunday tea with a group and we had an amazing time!
Got turned down and not given a table with the reason its full to capacity, when the place was almost entirely empty, and at least 15 tables available. Condescending staff and a bad vibe overall.
Great cocktails, loud as small speakeasies generally are. Good space inside - would go again.
Very elaborate speakeasy above The Burgery. You enter through a bank vault door in the back of the restaurant. Ring the bell and they will send someone down to let you in. Once inside, the decor, drinks, staff are excellent. My only complaint is that it gets a quite loud as the night goes on.
They told us, a group of brown folks that they didn’t have dessert. 5 minutes later the table adjacent (white couple) received their dessert. The couple was as appalled as us at the blatant discrimination. Never recommend this place to anyone QPOC.
Horrible customer service. Bartender could barely speak, drunk perhaps. Came around to say last call, we asked to put drinks in at that time and got a disgruntled response, but did get drinks. 5mins later playing obnoxiously loud music, chasing out patrons.
An amazing atmosphere for a wonderful evening
The place use to have a very unique penny wall. But post pandemic it’s removed. Drinks are great
Fantastic find whilst waiting for a table at Pig and Khao over the road. Great for a quick cocktail but I can imagine an entire evening here, posting a photo of the secret door so you know what to look out for!!
Hip speakeasy. When they have live music, it is very loud. Cocktails were great. When really busy, the service can seem slow.
Cool atmosphere too bad the drinks gave my roommates and I some sort of food poisoning. We were glued to the bathrooms all day and thats after only have one drink. Do not recommend at all.
I enjoyed my time there. The atmosphere was cozy. Very elegant & stylish place to hang out with friends.
Yet another hidden speakeasy... And yet another one that I absolutely love! Far less busy than most and the drinks were great. If anyone is familiar with Cienfuegos and used to like it, just come here... ;-)
Perfect little hideaway. Couple of good cocktails and some jazz on Valentines day. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to have good drinks.
Terrific cocktails. Service is friendly and solicitous. The space is intimate and attractive. Speakeasy sans pretension. Prices are on the high side.
A typical trendy bar. The bar did have unique selections of cocktail drinks. The service was good and the staff were friendly.
Bartenders could be a bit friendlier, they made it a bit intimidating to ask for one of the custom drinks. But otherwise I loved the interior and the vibe of this place. I would absolutely return.
Exquisite vibe. Super clean. And to top it all off, excellent, personable customer service from Gio, Tito, Jimmy and the rest. Definitely coming back!
Nice bar and cozy atmosphere, cocktails could be a bit better although most of them were quite good!
Shame on you for adding a “gratuity” fee and then have the balls to double dip by requesting tips.
Cool Speakeasy with delicious cocktails in the back (upstairs) of a restaurant. Server was a bit rude when asked why the drinks were taking so long but overall a nice place.
If there was an option to give this place 0 stars, thats what I would give it. Unfortunately, that option wasnt available, but I wanted this review to be seen so I gave this unfortunate place a 1 star. We made reservations through their website and when we checked in at the door, our reservation wasnt accepted. Meanwhile, the staff member was exceptionally rude.
High end, classy, very good ambience. Caring staff. Fantastic drink selection, great date night closer.
Had a great time here, granted it was 2am and we were the only ones there, the space was cool and the people really care about what they do, had two drinks bartenders choice ....of course and both were excellent.
Great location, great staff, great cocktails. Its through a bank vault in the back of a burger joint. really fun.
Don’t bother. They will not honor your reservations, and after reading review on here it seems like it’s common practice.
Very cool environment, only had time for 1 drink, but it was delicious.
Brilliant cocktail bar and some of my favorite drinks in the city. Will absolutely be coming back soon
Best cocktail and you will feel it but they make smooth drinks... Well worth it...
