1st time here and I thought the place was amazing they had a live band which was really really good…the ambiance, decor and staff was great! The drinks were good and strong I had the fish bowl and my gf had a martini which I thought was stronger than my fish bowl but overall it was good. We didn’t try the food so can’t say anything about it but we’ll definitely be back for it.If you’re ever in the city this place is a must try!
We had a lot of fun at Wicked Willy’s. We came here on a Wednesday night after being recommended it from over a year and a half ago. The security harassed a woman waiting for her friend outside alone as he was checking out ID’s which delayed our entry. It was wine Wednesday so only $6 for a glass which was great! We watched the security guard harass another woman who was waiting for her boyfriend sitting alone. This was icky. Our waitress greeted us with a smile but not much more- still friendly throughout! We ordered the loaded nachos with chicken, steak quesadillas, and spicy chicken wrap. The food was delicious! We happened to go on karaoke night which was a shock to us but we rolled with it. The host hyped everyone up and made people feel comfortable to sing by starting us off. She gave every singer candy at the end and it seemed like everyone had such a great time. We even went up to sing and when no one clapped she made us feel seen despite that! The atmosphere is so cool- sea / mermaid / captain theme. They also had an outdoor area in the back and seemed to have games but we didn’t go back there since it’s the middle of February. I’d love to come here again!
This place is a fantastic sports bar! 🍻 Wicked Willys serves a wonderful selection of delicious 🤤 American 🇺🇲 dishes 🍽️- definitely get the Loaded Nachos! Their Happy Hour ⏳ special on food 🍴 and drinks 🍺 are also great and affordable! 🏷️ Service is quick ⏲️, staff 👨🍳 is friendly and professional, ambience 🎶 is great, place is nicely decorated 🛋️, and the music 🎵 is awesome! I wish I came here earlier!
We had a good time other than it being really hot inside. I would’ve given a great review but I found out later that the server automatically gave himself a 22% tip. What happened to 18% or even 20%? It was only 4 of us at the table and he didn’t check on us the whole time we were eating. Adding a 22% gratuity at this type of establishment is crazy. It’s not exactly fine dining. I won’t be back.
Came here for a quick afternoon drink & snack with friends. our drinks were yummy, the food was just ok. we came during a quiet weekday afternoon. friendly service. we sat outside, cute outdoor seating area
I went there with two friends this past weekend. When I called to make the reservation I informed the hostess that I had a pusld voucher and if she needed the number then she told me no and shell see us on Saturday. We went in and were seated in a section alone, when I told the waitress about the voucher again, she rudely cut me off and said we dont take it on Saturdays. Then asked me did I get the name of the person I made the reservation with. Why would I get their name? Lied to us about the brunch special that we paid for out of pocket, charging us separately for drinks and food, when normally its included. Three other parties were seated in our section and all three tables including a party of 10 people were given their food before us. We literally had to yell out that was our food! Then when I paid the bill because I was honestly over it and wanted to leave the same waitress had the audacity to get mad I didnt tip. I had been here before and gave this place such a great review I was able to convince my friends to come again. I had to constantly apologize for the horrible service we got. Theyre lucky I can only give one star.
Went for brunch, the unlimited was fine a lot of juice, but asking they will make it with more champagne. Gratuity is included, so you can be ignored! The food was not good! Had the dry burger, the fries were good.. The others food wasn’t good either!
This was the worst place to work at. The boss Andy has a nasty attitude always talking down to people. He had me drive a car around the park that conks out and stalls every 5 minutes. Then I had to push the car in the rain to the garage because someone stole parking spot. My ankle still is in pain after 7 days for $15 an hour!
Listen everybody is dissing this place based off food. This is a dive bar the most amazing thing is the DJ and music. It’s the best thing I am 30 years old I have been coming here since I was 22 and it’s such a great time. If you’re looking to dance and have a great time where you don’t care whose watching this is the place. Never fails. And security definitely watches out for the women at this place
We had a good time ! But they added tip by themselves… and my bill was 90 $ instead of 70$. Please check your bill before payment!!!I always leave the tip , but the waiter did it on his own
Have once ordered food here, which was decent i think. But great Drinks and good music. So if you want that vibe wicked willy is the place
I went here for the first time and we were very hungry so came here as one of my friend has been here, so was super excited to be here.Came here and the server who was serving us his shift ended and we closed the check, no one did last call on our table neither there was anyone serving us.Turns out i forgot to order lava cake so i asked Other server whi was serving right next table, i asked him if i can order lava cake, he replied rudely, that the last class is written on the menu that it is 11:45. Sorry I didn’t see the last call for kitchen. I didn’t come to this place to read books, if they closed the kitchen SERVER LUIS could have simply said sorry the kitchen is closed instead he choose to say that “i know you are a little drunk but you should have read the menu and i am not your server still i am serving you”, for me it takes a threshold to put a bad review. But he really needs to learn how to serve or at least be polite, he is in no position to judge me, where i only had one glass of wine and wasn’t even drunk. Like this is very disappointing. Plus i am person who give 20% tip every where i go. Even here i gave 20% tip, this was not acceptable.
Come here only if you can’t find reservations for bottomless brunch elsewhere. I remember coming by here a few years ago and it was a wait and standing room only. I’m here now 1pm on a Sunday and granted it’s Mother’s Day but it’s empty. They have a Mothers Day brunch option that says reservations only but it’s not advertised on site as a separate reservation and though we had a regular reservation (that we didn’t need as it turns out) they would t honor it. The waitress said “oh I’m sorry it was a last minute decision by the owner to put together a Mother’s Day package”. If it’s not available on your site how the heck are you supposed to get it? The waitresses spent entire time chatting at the bar and not be observant of diners needs. My bf wanted just simple bacon and eggs—not on menu as an entree (weird) but individually sold as sides. No prob, will order as sides. The waitress really struggled understanding that’s what we wanted to do and even though we said np , understood that you have to charge as the separate sides—please put on one plate… and it still came out 3 separate plates that wouldn’t fit on tiny table. The food tasted good as did the Mimosas. And I’m not mad at the lack of patrons as that’s better for me (clearly not the business). But the service killed it.
I was going with my girlfriends and had one of my girlfriend’s call the make a reservation because we purchased a pulsd voucher. The hostess answered and made the reservation and the hostess was made aware that we were using the voucher. We proceeded to head to the “restaurant “ and we were seated in the back… alone and the table were dirty that my friends had to have them clean it again. The hostess came over and shot us down for the voucher saying it wasn’t valid on a Saturday, mind you we called a week ahead and made them aware of the voucher. We proceeded to do the brunch anyway and paid out of pocket. We were ignored the entire time we were there and other tables were getting their food before us even though we were the first ones there. We had to shout and fight for our food after an hour of sitting there and having our order taken. The waitress ignored us the entire time. When we got our bill we were charged for anything bottomless. We got over charged for everything and instead of her making us aware that we can share the pitcher she charged us separately. And the food was charged separately. The bathrooms smelled so bad like weeks old pee. The place looks dirty and they weren’t friendly at all. The food wasn’t great neither. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. STAY AWAY
I’ve lived in New York City for 4.5 years and this is the worst bar/ restaurant experience I’ve had. Service was nonexistent to the point we had to get up from our table and order at the bar. A couple next to us complained after 45 minutes only to have a sullen waitress come and look genuinely annoyed at the inconvenience. Additionally if you are advertising an F1 “watch party” then you should probably play the sound as that is the only reason most people around us are here. Would actively discourage anyone from coming here. Oh and the nachos were pretty good.
Great ambiance & vibes. Pretty good food - I got the chicken & waffles & they put their own spin on it. It was yummy. However - service was SERIOUSLY lacking. I went for brunch. The $22 bottomless mimosas was a great price, but Im pretty sure there was no alcohol in them. I drank almost 2 full pitchers alone & did not even have a buzz. Between that and the service I was incredibly disappointed & cant say that I would return.
$10 entry. $20 for Halloweekend. ID check.Music is 2010s and current. Mix of rap and pop.Small stage where you can go up to with two dance poles. Space to dance. Always crowded and poppin. Further back is another dance floor closer to the DJ and beer pong (pay to play).Price of drinks are fair and cocktails are tasty. There’s a place to eat if you don’t want to dance.
Walking distance to Washington Square Park. They have outdoor and indoor eating. Decent size bar inside and different seating arrangements, with a small beer pong section.Came on a Saturday late afternoon. The Knicks playoff game was on, so it was pretty full. We were initially seated right in front of the speakers that were blasting the game. We asked to be moved and were offered a table in the beer pong section. It was much quieter there, so we gladly took the new seats. We ordered buffalo wings, flats only, loaded nachos, and two Mai Tais. They give water and small Mason hats to use. The food and service were good, and the drinks were strong. However, a palm sized water bug, also known as cukarachas/cockroach, started crawling down the wall next to my friends face as we ate. We jumped up and yelled for the waitress. One of the waiters brought a spray bottle, sprayed it onto the floor, and killed it. The guy then told us its because of the wood on the walls. If you know this, why keep the wood and why put customers to sit right next to the walls...I know critters are expected in NYC, but not in the middle of a meal. We paid about $68 altogether.
Came here to watch F1, and its now my new favorite sports bar. They had the F1 race on all screens across the bar with two large projectors in the backroom. I highly reccomend if you are looking for a bar to watch F1 or any sport for that matter.
Loved the space, it’s huge with 2 beer pong tables, live music and lots of seating. Sliders were on point and it’s a great crowd if you’re looking for a spot to dance it up too.
Friends wanted to try a new place for our HH outtings and found Wicked Willys. Sat outdoors. Nice ambiance with outdoors ceiling fans, mounted TV and enough space between tables. Food was delicious, drinks were good but some werent cold enough. Wait staff friendly but werent very attentive. Would definitely go again for the chill vibe.
Owner is a total nut job and perv. Treats his employees so disrespectfully that he creates an uncomfortable environment for his guests. Disappointing because staff deserves better and I expected more from a well-known establishment in nyc. Do not recommend; take your business elsewhere.
An automatic 22% gratuity should be accompanied by average service at a minimum, but that wasn’t our experience. The service here was 2/5 stars. We also ordered the worst Moscow mule of our entire life (the whole table tried and agreed) and the staff seemed bothered once we could flag them down to let them know, replaced it with a beer (cheaper) and ended up charging us for the more expensive drink.I would not return to this spot, go to Peculier Pub next door instead 👍
I mean, its called Wicked Willys, so dont think youre getting Michelin stars. But its a great place to grab s drink or two and a bite. Prices are reasonable and they have some solid happy hour deals all week long.
Sooooooo, this was the most ridiculous experience Ive had here today. I ordered the garden omelet, which,in the menu pic, looks like an egg white omelet. I asked the server when ordering if it was egg white, just to confirm, and was told yes. LOL, when it arrived, it was a regular egg omelet. So I spoke with the server about the requested egg white and was told they no longer have egg white. But wait, I have had this dish so many tines her, an egg white omelet, and my boyfriend got a fried egg on his burger, so clearly you have fresh eggs. SMH, LMAO. last time im coming back here.
Super cute brunch spot!!! Mimosas were absolutely delicious, food was great and the service was amazingly fast. Everyone there is so nice and the atmosphere is top notch. Definitely coming back!!
Great brunch spot with good music, food and drinks. If you order a bowl for your drinks it’s enough for two people!
Waitress was great, however, we were charged ~26% in service fees (for a party of 3) that were not disclosed anywhere on our menu. I asked to have the fee removed and the manager declined. Very dubious business practices, IMO.Edit: forgot to mention that they bribe patrons with free shots if they leave a 5-star review…
A fun time with a group. Everyone seems to be hanging with their close knit group .Restroom is tiny.Dance floor gets crowded.
Service was TERRIBLE - maybe the worst table service I’ve ever had. Vibes are ok, the music is cover band rock-pop junk. Drinks are the same you’ll get anywhere else. We didn’t have any food.
Love this place. It has such an amazing vibe.. live music till late night and after that it’s more like a dance floor on one side and tables too..More than everything, they’ve beer towers...!!! That’s just so amazing.I hope they work on more options for the towers - currently they just serve Bud light and Coors light in the tower...
As much as we’ve enjoyed going here… the service is unacceptable. If you book a reservation well in advance (over a week) you will get a text the night before your confirmed reservation that they will cancel. I understand large sporting events and the influx of a crowd; however, you should not accept the reservation in the first place.Additionally, we were offered a complementary drink and appetizer as a remedy to the situation. Normally that’s okay, but this happened to us before and we never received our complementary drink and app.Fool me once shame on you… fool me twice…?
I bought a ticket for their New Year’s Eve party for 90$. I’ve been a few times and I liked the place, however, this year they denied me and many of my friends at the door, told us it was too full and the ticket is non refundable. Don’t waste your time and money here, there’s a great bar next door!
Came here for dinner with a large group. We had a reservation. When we arrived there were no servers or hosts so the bartender sat us and started helping us with our order. When the server came into work he was verbally upset with the table that we had ordered at the bar and scolded us, despite there being no other option or direction. At the end of the night, my bill was $80 when I only ordered $35 worth of menu items and the server (short skinny man) refused to show me the itemized receipt.
We enjoyed the live music, food, and drinks. However, we didnt like the fact that we were charged 22% gratuity. I didnt see tip was already included and I gave another tip. When I got the receipt I saw the 22% and went to the bar to ask to get the other tip removed. The bartender just told me rudely that he didnt have time for that and ignored me. The server finally removed it, but responded with an attitude. I think they should suggest the tip like other places do and not include it in the receipt. We liked the place, but the service should definitely be improved.
This was my first time eating at Wicked Willys, and the owner, Andy, and the manager, Louis, provided exceptional service. The food was amazing as well. I had the steak sandwich and it was delicious (as were the fries)! It is clear that Wicked Willys strives for top quality meals, drinks, and customer service. I would highly recommend Wicked Willys to anyone in NYC looking for a great place to eat and hang out with friends. 5 out of 5 stars!! 😊
This place is awesome! We got here on a Taco Tuesday, and the tacos are truly amazing. So are the quesadillas, and the nachos were our favorite. The full order of those nachos is easily enough for 3 people! Before we left we were offered a green tea - thats a shot with whiskey, lemon, and a few other things. We highly recommend it!
The fries tasted like they had been cooked in old grease. The salmon was questionable and the coffee was bad. I would say this is a bar. Not a brunch spot. Keep walking.
Wicked Willys offers a variety of draft beers, drink specials, and themed cocktails. Service was accommodating, and nachos were out of this world! Atmosphere is very comfortable. Would recommend!
Came here for Brunch. It had good music, decent food, good tasting drink options. Beer Pong in the back was fun. All around a good time and the brunch is worth it. We had 4 pitchers within our 60 minute time and felt no rush from the waitress. She was friendly and made us feel welcomed.
Always a good bar to go to. Great music to dance to and the bartenders and waitresses are amazing. Sometimes they have karaoke during the week which is nice.
Worked here for a while and the owner is predatory. If a short man offers you free drinks and says he has an apartment across the street, that’s him. He does this with young women- staff and customers alike. Management has some of the worst communication I’ve ever encountered in a place of employment. Luckily, the servers, bartenders and security are awesome, however most of the staff that worked alongside me has quit by now as well, or did so while I was there. Very high turnover rate and everyone I spoke to said it was either about the owner or the money, or both.
We were at a table, ordered drinks, gave a decent tip. Couldnt find the server, so went to bar and ordered. The server luis said next time you want to order tell me, I said oh I couldnt find you so i ordered at bar, his response was I dont go to your house and tell you how to do things, I said so Ill just leave, he said he doesnt care. Good time otherwise but avoiding this place
Loved this place, especially our lovely hostess Nina Divina, who showed us a fabulous time. A really fun atmosphere with great party vibes. We stopped by after a concert for drinks, snacks, and good vibes and were not disappointed. Nina greeted us a the door with huge energy and smiles, got us situated with drinks and food, and made our visit truly special. Shes a fantastic hostess, solidly gorgeous, and we would gladly revisit Willys anytime to see her and the team. Cant wait to go back!
Great vibe, inside and outside. Karaoke.
Their Mule drinks are really good, I get a Lil tipsy after one and thats almost impossible for me! Really reasonable happy hour prices as well. I love their mango habanero sauce wings . I usually get bone in but I have to admit boneless is better. The staff is really nice.
This place was fantastic! Would highly recommend using the Pulsd app to get the 2 for $39 bottomless brunch deal. We never saw the bottoms of our glasses, it was great that they just gave us two pitchers on rotation. Especially considering that the bottomless brunch includes the meal as well, you can’t beat this. The service was great too, we’ll be back!
Saturday brunch is where it’s at! Great food, bottomless drinks, live DJ and awesome bartenders. Came to brunch solo, sat at the bar and Gabby and Luke were very professional and friendly. Smiles and great energy/vibes all around! Oh, and beer pong! WHAT?! 🍻🍻 Highly recommend🥂🥂
This place is awesome!! A great bar in the village that isn’t constantly overwhelmed with students. Donna and Ryan were great and helpful in helping us pick our shark tank drinks. The food was tasty and came fast. Great atmosphere with a cool band playing.
This bar is a real treat to spend the evening. The outdoors seating area is beautifully decorated with lights and candles and is furnished with space heaters. Every day they have a different cocktails menu. Tequila Tuesday, Whiskey &Wine Wednesdays, etc. Luis was our server and he was super attentive. And they also have live music!
Very crowded by 830 on a Friday night, apparently popular with the NYU crowd. I got in by 7 with a few friends before they starting charging $5 (at some point becoming $10) cover to get in— but had an awesome live band and the beer pong was fun with my friends! Just be careful not to step outside even for a second or youll be charged to get back in 😓
This restaurant had such a fun atmosphere the service is fantastic. When I went it was my birthday. My waitress named Sarina was the most welcoming, friendly and efficient waitress I every have had. She made the night so fun and exciting. She never let us get thirsty and our food came very fast. Overall I would say this restaurant was one of my favorites I would definitely spend another birthday there!
A very lively bar. On any given night there is live music or karaoke going on. Great happy hour prices, and they always have unique shots for you to try. Anytime I am in the area I like to stop in just to see what shots they have on the menu. The bartenders are friendly and very knowledgeable. I always meet great people here who are ready to have a good time.
Not a great experience-first off their actual menu prices are a good bit higher from what they list on their website.Secondly, the staff and service wasnt friendly, they seemed very annoyed and unhappy in general.Lastly, they blasted music on a speaker right behind our table and our table had to scream to be able to hear each other. We asked if they could turn it down, after some back and forth they did but then over time would just increase the volume of the music again (this happened 2-3 times where we asked them to turn it down and they turned it back up). I loved the song selections and clubby brunch vibe but it shouldnt be so loud we all go deaf and cant talk at all.
Very fun atmosphere and amazing drinks!! Im always looking for a good margarita when I go out and Nicole made an amazing one! It was the best one I had while visiting NYC all weekend! She was extremely personable and very quick with our big partys order! I was very impressed! We definitely will be back !
Went here for the first time with a friend this past Tuesday for happy hour. Luis was our waiter/server & he was AWESOME. Very friendly, energetic, with good vibes. Enjoyed my time, the music & drinks were great.
Came here for my cousins 31st birthday and we had a blast! Good music, drinks are tasty, and the staff is super friendly! Also, not over priced. 👌🏽PS - thank you to the amazing staff that found my wallet and gave it back to me with EVERYTHING in it. It’s nice to know there are still good people in the world.
The happy hour runs all night and the drinks specials isnt for the faint of heart.Good service, I enjoyed the wings. I was here on a Monday night so the crowd wasnt much. Picked up a bit towards 11 PMish.Ill recommend this spot for a date, especially a first time meet. You can talk with the music playing and theres other fun stuff to do there including karaoke and other games. The prices are fair for the area, if you dont want cocktails theres always regular beers. All in all, I like the spot.
Amazing place and very very good service !! Abbey was the sweetest and took care of us very well and was super friendly !!!The food options were really good and are open almost till 4am for both food and drinks ... We literally didnt wanna leave ...They played really good music that you could relate to and enjoy ..Would definitely recommend youll to check out the place :)
Went here for the first time with my friends, since I Was meeting them after a while and we were having a good time, since whoever was serving us ended shift so we closed the check and forgot to order the lava cake. We wanted another beer so one of my friend went to the bar and got the beer, we didn’t have anyone serving us and so the person (LUIS) who was serving right next table we asked him if he can get lava cake as we were not aware of the last call neither we read that on the menu.He said to my friend that “I know you are a bit drunk but she could have read it on the menu” this was very insulting and not acceptable. She barely had a glass of wine. The server could have simply said sorry the kitchen closed. I am a foodie and no one has ever talked to me or my friends like this.Sorry but this is not what we expect when we pay 20% tip to server.
Had a great night out here. Door staff were friendly, inside the music was great, played all the popular hits. Had an interesting pirate theme to the decor. Would definitely go again
I love their Taco and Tequila Tuesdays. Louis was an amazing waiter - attentive and caring. Will for sure be back with all my girlfriends. Also the lil live musician is so cute! A nice edition to the vibe.
We went for happy hour and found it to be pretty great - some tasty tacos for $2 and a good selection of cocktails for $5. Not too noisy during the after-work time frame, in fact it was quiet. Mens room setup might not be ideal for guys requiring privacy but otherwise I liked it start to finish.
Wicked Willys is the best place for weekend brunch. The bottomless mimosas are amazing, the ambiance is loud and fun with great music, and the staff is friendly. Ive been twice now and will definitely be going back.
Such a great place for people in their 20-s to have fun there if u don’t care about comfortDJ, pole u can dance on, beer pong, multiple choice of drinks on the barLast time there we had a bad experience- my friend’s woman coat was stolen and switched on the men’s one. The customer service is sadly bad, cause they didn’t help her, opposite blamed her in taking strangers clothes😅upset about it
I always have a good time at Wicked Willies. Love the atmosphere of the street is on. The music is always good if you want to dance. Drink prices are reasonable. The crowd is usually pretty good. Occasional drunks but overall a good vibe all around. Sometimes theres a cover. Usually not more than $10. They take cards so thats convenient. Nice size space. There are tables that arent waited which I love since a waitress isnt always necessary
Went to watch F1 Australian Grand Prix, great watch and great service
Idk how this place has so many 5-star reviews. The manager at the door was SO impolite, the waitress was rude, and we were sitting at our table for a good 20mins (no water even) before anyone even came to say hello. This place… is terrible. Gets two stars because the chicken and waffles were good but everything else was subpar. Will NOT be coming back.
.”The very best Karaoke bar/restaurant in Manhattan P.S. “Pete the former great Wicked Willies Karaoke Host”, stopped in last night to say hello to customers and staff, He just returned to New York after being away this year. Paul
Reservation made well in advance canceled last minute (morning of) multiple times…not returning. Get it together with the reservation system if you have an event that wont allow resy’s.
Good cocktails and cool decor. Staff was friendly and nice. We got the nachos and they were ok. If you like Velveeta style cheese on your nachos, youll like them, but I prefer real cheese.
Luis showed us an amazing time! Kind accommodating service. Go on Thursday for great deals
The rest it’s a tourist trap, it’s like going to a Chain restaurant in Las Vegas strips or Times Square! Everything is very coordinated from the sitting to the way they offer an unlimited brunch 7 days a week but not matter how many pitchers you down you won’t come out even tipsy at all, we had 4 pitchers and we didn’t even feel a buzz, pure juice and club soda and with a dash of cheap sparkling… the food pretty standard.. just not worth the money!
Came here for brunch, the drinks were great. We had the traditional mimosas as well as the pineapple and mint mimosa. The chicken and waffles could have been much better. The chicken pieces are mini nuggets which are overly seasoned and leave an odd aftertaste. The Belgian waffle and berry compote were ok. This may have been a twist on chicken and waffles, but I think you should try a different style.
Great sport bar. Has a very good brunch menu. Its in a nice location. Love the theme. Employees are awesome.
Great food, good service. Sarina was such an amazing bartender. Got our drinks quickly and they were delicious! She came by with a positive attitude and smile every time. Karaoke night Is definantly a must!
The food was fantastic! We got some brunch and lunch menu items. They had good happy hour deals plus happy hour is 11-8pm! They have multiple TVS and a cool atmosphere. We would come back again for sure! The server was so sweet and attentive.
Its an awesome place to go with a group of friends. The beer pong tables are great and the atmosphere is live! The bartender on the other hand is a bit of a b*****... she wont pay attention to anyone if they do not tip. Very rude and snotty. Music is also good, and the crowd is mostly upperclassmen college kids. Go on a Saturday night!
THE WORST. Don’t even bother trying to book a reservation. We had a table for 6 for the FSU game, door girl told us good luck and find a table if any were available. A real ray of sunshine. After talking to multiple waiters we were put in a dark corner. Ironically we only had 3 people despite making a reservation for 6 and still had nothing. To make matters worse, a bucket of millers were $20 and we were told they didn’t have any so we could order bud light. By the time the bill came around, we noticed we were charged $40 for bud light instead of the $20 special. In what world are bud lights more than coors or trulys?!?! We have been going to wicked Willy’s for 4 years to watch the FSU games and this will absolutely be the last time. Do better.
I bought a pulsd deal and it clearly said brunch is served 12-3 pm only on Saturday and Sunday. Upon arriving, the waitress told us they don’t work with pulsd anymore (I bought the deal 3 days earlier) and that I could only use the bottomless brunch deal on a weekday.I asked to speak some other staff to see if the credit could be applied towards our total bill since I was visiting for the city for the weekend. She said there was no else to talk to and turned us away.Terrible customer service. Don’t sell on pulsd if you are not accepting it. Clarify what days you’re taking the deal. Most people do bottomless brunch on weekends, not weekdays.Very disappointed. Will not be coming back.
This place is amazing! There is always special deals for drinks and food. They have live music Friday and Saturday nights and when the band leaves it basically turns into a club!! (11:30pm) The dj is always good and plays a very big variety of music! I always have a good time when I go!
This place was horrible! When we first walked up, it took a few minutes just for anyone to let us in. Then when we got in it was so crowded and they made you check in your coat just to sit down at a table. Then on top of a stupid cover, the waitress informed us AFTER she made us start a tab that there was a $25 minimum. This was bad news considering we only bought one pitcher of beer and wanted to leave immediately. So we had to suffer through another pitcher of beer just to get our $25 minimum. Then as I was standing by our table, our waitress came by and pushed me out of the way. Didnt ask me to move or anything. Just pushed me. The people were rude. Service was horrible. Music was horrible. I will never go here again and make sure I tell all my friends about what a poor establishment this is.
Went to this place for a birthday get together. It was spacious, with lots to do. Theres beer pong in the back. A dance floor as well. The food was good. The drinks were done well. Our waiter was awesome (Marina). I would definitely suggest this place to friends.
Good food, decent drinks. Had the bottomless brunch. Waitstaff was great and food was great, but the venue was packed and the music was too loud to easily carry a conversation. Probably better for friends than a date.
I walked in because I saw the happy hour sign outside. I ask for a frozen margarita, the machine which had the special drink I wanted and were pre made wasn’t frozen yet… Cool, no issues I’ll get bcc reg marg. But when I sit outside, I notice the happy hour sign was moved and turned around to display the menu. I asked if my drinks are for happy hour. They state my drink size isn’t included. Frozen was 7 and on the rocks is $10. Though it was happy hour you chose to give the bigger glass. 🤨I would have stayed longer but once I noticed this🏃🏽♂️
Amazing experience, shoutout to Tim, best bartender 👏👏👏👏
This place is just OK. Probably the most watered down alcoholic drinks Ive ever had in a bar. My friend and I went and both had 2 frozen margaritas and 2 long ice island ice teas during Happy Hour and I SWEAR we BARELY tasted alcohol. Mind you the Long Island is $14.00 a piece and they come in these SMALL plastic cups. The food wasnt so bad, good presentation. They have live music as well, if youre youre looking for a place to just chill casually, but if youre going mainly for drinks, youll just end up with a very high tab and wondering why youre still sober.
Talking about leaving a 5 star impression! Colleague and I ordered a Breakfast Burger with Bottomless Mimosas. Burger was out of this world! The combination of quality of meat, sauce and taste was next level. And Ive tried burgers on two continents. I will have to Andy, the owner to the review, who made us feel more than welcome making our stay so much more fun. Best Sunday brunch location in the city!
Security guy on a platform was I guess trying to just spit on the floor, but got globs of spit all over my face. Drinks were good but the whole spitting on my face thing, just completely ruined my experience.
The night I went out, the DJ was amazing. I loved how there was something for everyone. A dance floor for the people that like to dance, tall round bar tables for those that want to be by a table but also close to the bar, a lounge type area for larger groups and seclusion, lastly a beer pong area! Only caveat, the crowd is very young
We went there on a Friday night to celebrate a friends birthday, and were recommended by that friend. We ordered a lot of drinks, including their special Shark tanks, but even after like, six (!) drinks apiece, we were still super sober. Pretty sure they are watering down their drinks. Didnt expect this kind of service. Wouldnt be going back to this place at all.
This is my first experience ever with Wicked Willys and I am sure that it will be my last. I cant think of anything good to say about the service my friends and I received. We went there for a special event night, FRIENDS trivia, and they were not prepared for the turnout, even though they took reservations to be able to prepare. First of all, the event started an hour later than advertised. Secondly, they were basically out of everything, including all boneless wings, several types of beer, and some sides and sauces, and we were not even late to the event. Additionally, the waitstaff was rude and inattentive. They were definitely understaffed, but our waitress constantly forgot about us and the items we ordered, and we couldnt get her attention even if I was tap dancing on the table while on fire. She even had the audacity to claim I finished a drink that was never brought to me. This is the same drink that I ended up waiting 25 minutes to get... and it wasnt even good. Even the event itself was awful. The trivia host clearly just took the questions off Buzzfeed, and was not familiar with her own content. It took forever to score between rounds and the event that was supposed to only be until 9 kept us there until 10:30, and we ended up skipping out early. My team was even up for the prize of a $100 gift card, but left because we will never be returning to this establishment. This place is not worth your time or money.
Wicked Willy’s has been a go to bar for my friends for a couple of years. My last visit there was extremely disappointing and horrifying as a woman. The bathroom attendant was acting very strange and only letting one woman in at a time when there were two stalls. After letting me in, she adamantly told me to leave my drink outside the bathroom stall. When I told her no because of fear of anything happening to my drink, like being drugged… she started screaming in my face and cornering me in the bathroom. A bystander that was outside of the bathroom heard her screaming and came inside to find me cornered by her so she pulled me out of the situation. When I proceeded to tell the bartender about the threatening bathroom attendant, nobody cared at all. As a woman, I do not feel safe going back to a bar that very clearly does not care about the well being of their customers. After asking several people, I was finally able to talk to a manager where he had me document what happened. BUT he proceeded to do nothing about the worker when she very clearly could have been trying to hurt someone or possibly drug someone’s drink. This incident needed to be handled immediately to prevent anything from happening to someone else and it was just brushed off.
Great place for a random brunch. Music was awesome. The food is great for what you pay. Not many complaints here. Definitely do the boozy brunch. Well worth the price of admission
I come to this bar very often and the other night with Ashley L. taking care of me all night, made my experience one to remember. She was always there when I needed her! She was energetic and even got on the stage to dance! The best waitress at Wicked Willy’s by far! Will definitely recommend to friends all because of her!
Was there on 02/08/2020 for a pre birthday brunch for my daughter and myself, and had a awesome time. It was about 35 of us, food, and bottomless mimosas was on point, but the server Jessica was amazing. I will definitely go back.
There is very little I didnt like about this place. The service was amazing. Drinks were refilled before they were done. I had the brunch breakfast burger and it was really good. Only negatives for me were the high top tables and the loud football game that was on all screens.
This is surely one of my favorite places in the city. Its my home away from home. The drinks is off the hook. The food is really good too. The service is always great and the servers are always friends. Ill always be back and highly recommended.
The food was really good here. The 1 hour bottomless brunch had delicious beverages and the food was spot on. They had a great combo of breakfast and lunch for.brunch and the chicken and waffles were actually really good
Only thing in dark when bill came didnt see tip was included so i gave 20.00 therefore i gave 36 on a 118.00 bill . Not nice but jessica was nice
Variety of cheap and yummy drink specials. Bartender was friendly and fast. Kinda funny pirate themed but seems like a fun place to dance and hang out. Plus they serve food until 1 am which is always great to know.
Halloween is always a fun time here. DJ played great mix of music from edm, reggaeton, and hip hop. There was a water station for anyone that was thirsty and surprisingly no lines for the bathroom
The atmosphere was very cool. I like the live band and the more intimate quite space in the back. The manager was very welcoming The drinks were really weak. But I had a good time.
So my coworkers and myself wanted to find a nice spot for taco tuesday so this spot came up on TikTok and we said YEAH!! $4 Tequila and $2 tacos yes maam! 🗣WRONGGG!! We get there and unbeknownst to us they changed the menu and didnt update the website, but it was too late we were already sitting and sipping on water. So no taco tuesday for us. The drinks were pricey and literally did NOTHING and this was after 2 drinks and 3 shots. The boozy sundaes come in a basic big shot glass and it was $8 for 1 scoop. $70 per person for a club sandwich and not even a buzz. PLUS they charge our cards a service fee. 🙄 Bruh......
WE FOUND PILLS IN OUR DRINK. We told a waitress and she told us that they dont sell anything like that here and didnt come back for a while. I would hope they dont sell pills in their drinks! It took us an hour to finally talk to Andy the manager and we told him we were all uncomfortable finishing our drinks and he did not respond to that well and immedietly became accusitory. They then said they were checking the security cameras and it would take a few minutes. We were waiting over an hour for them to investigate, after an hour the waitress took our number and told us they would call if they found anything out. We never saw the manager after that. They called us shortly after to ask a few questions and then hung up. He then texted us that hes looking into it. We asked for pictures and he told us they washed the glass and the waitress who took the picture left for the night. We sent a friend in to get the picture from the manager and he told her he didnt have it and that it was a gummy shark. He then said if your so worried you should take your friend to the hospital. Please dont go here.
I went for brunch recently when the malt house was taking reservations only. Customer service was very good. The unlimited choices for brunch drinks was very good and tasty. I got the pancakes nothing to rave about but overall would come back.
Food and drinks were great. It is an indoor restaurant but has a wide open window that is slightly below sidewalk level which I just thought was nice. I dont know if it is a NYC policy but they did take our credit card at the beginning and gave it back when we left. No weird charges have appeared but I have never seen that before
Booked and enjoyed my friends party here. The GM, Marisa, went above and beyond our reservations and we had so much fun shots after shots. This place is amazing - they have live bands and djs some nights. The bar is pretty open with barstools and there are booths and tables as well. Theres always plenty of seating when I go. Would come back for beerpong and karaoke!
Looking forward to the new burlesque show tonight, I wasn’t able to get a table and then the show was canceled day-of. I had a nearly impossible time reaching someone after that to answer my questions. Plenty of better spots for a drink in the area, don’t waste your time here.
Amazing drink specials, loved in particular the fish bowl my server Ashley recommended. The staff is very attentive and Ashley ensured my cup was never empty. The live dj at night makes it feel like your in a night club which I loved!!!!
Of you are looking for a bar experience, this is the right place. Funny titles above the bar, beer pong, karaoke, lounge area, live music you name it! Great drink selection, but dont expect anything too fancy. Besides great staff, got to mention very pleasant security as well. Do expect light dress code (no baseball hats and such). Not authentic New York place, just a simple bar. Too crowded on weekends, but wheres not. Key word for the ambiance: Pirate. Arrrrr!
Definitely the place to get your drank on! Super good club music til 4am, live bands on the weekend, karaoke, pong. Fun themed specials on holidays/trivia nights, too! The sweet Caribbean vibe keeps me coming back.
Moved a chair to sit closer to my girl, IMMEDIATELY told chairs can’t be moved in this place. Felt like every move I made was being watched and controlled.Drink waitresses were very pushy.$26 for two drinks. + $10 cover.Very bad vibes here from employees on weekends. Go when it’s slow, daytime weekdays have good deals.Overall, F this place. You feel like a commodity to be used.
I had a great time visiting Wicked Willies! It was a great addition to my groups NYC itinerary! Our server, Nicole, suggested great drinks and food! We loved everything! This will definitely be on our list of places to go the next time we are in the city!
Was here for a function with LOTS of people. Food was awful. Music was very loud, not enough seating. Usually places put their best foot forward and showcase their food. Served: Nacho chip, cheese dip that was obviously canned, beef enchiladas that were dry and extremely dry tater skins. Only 1 buffet station for 100+ people. Food while in chafing dishes wasnt hot. This couldnt have even been bar food or even happy hour food. Everyone in our party thought it was AWFUL. Not enough seating, management obviously unprepared to handle a crowd. Cant even give this a full star. Glad I didnt get food poisoning!
Ive been to every bar in the five boroughs and Long Island City, plus a few in Rochester (Ive never left the tri-state area because I dont have a cell phone) and Wicked Willys on Bleecker is my favorite by a mile. Overall the staff was good but our server Lisa was super accommodating and sweet. The menu was great and they have all of my favorite flavors of beer . Im afraid of skeletons so some of the pirate decorations were scary but Ill be sure to come back soon
First off, Halloween here was a disaster. We showed up for some drinks with friends later to find only 3 service staff taking care of the whole restaurant. NO COVID GUIDELINES FOLLOWED. Capacity was was over 25%... I noticed the manager ANDY was frantically runny around yelling at anyone he could. He stopped by my table only to ask when I was planning on leaving... why would he sit a table only to ask whether they were getting up or not. We felt extremely rushed and it only made us more uncomfortable. He stopped by a second time with a mask under his nose just to throw our food on the table. Honestly, I would’ve rather spent my Halloween handing out candy to people that actually deserved it... unlike Andy. Anyone in nyc who is ready to take care of a bar like WW, please replace this rude owner and management. Sincerely, someone who will never return. Alexis was great even though the staff were overwhelmed from Andy continuously seating people even though the bar was over capacity.
Had lunch here on a Wednesday about 1pm or so. We were the only ones in the whole place.. My wife ordered the sliders. She said it was ok. I ordered the fish n chips. What a mistake. The batter and fish were both soggy. No crispy crunch to them at all. I asked for extra crispy fries, I got regular fries. I asked for malt vinegar I got vinaigrette salad dressing! Maybe they make good food here I really dont know. I do know that they shouldnt be making fish n chips if this is their norm .. However if they do want to serve fish n chips, at least have malt vinegar! Vinaigrette Salad dressing just doesnt cut it. The waitress was very nice and the place was clean just disappointed in the meal.....
A popular spot for the older college crowd. They have some very good drink specials and live music on weekends sometimes means cover. The tables are hard to come by so you might have to wait or get there early. Service is good for such a crowded bar. Keep a look out for that ridiculous 6-person bike riding around the streets.
Went for brunch. Service was slow, food was slower even though it was empty. French fried were fried in weeks old oil. Could not make a Bloody Mary, but was accepting when we sent it back to try and make it better...burger was good but rice and beans with eggs were very lacking. Won’t be back for brunch
Would not reccomend, mainly based on the service we recieved. It was not too busy and our server was very inattentive. Even when I went to the (empty) bar, the bartender told me I could not order from her since I was at a table. Also the Hurricane Willy is massivley small, overpriced and tasted like only OJ and grenadine. Food was ok, but took a while for a place with 10 people total.
Great place for a drink. They had live music and it was nice.
I came here to meet some friends to celebrate a birthday. The young lady at the door charged me $10 to get in. I really didnt have a problem with it until my friends arrived and she charged them $5. The signs says Rum Punch $7 every time I ordered it the bartender try to charge me $8. Not really sure if I would consider coming back here. Seems like I must seem rich or an easy cheat. One star
Fun place for big companies. You van play beer pong here and enjoy live music. When we were there group played all old good nostalgic songs, was super fun! Good cocktails as well
Reasons why you should come here1- There are stripper poles. You free-spirits can feel free to smother everything on there at your liking. All others on my boat will just get some drinks to watch you guys dance away and get down and dirty there.2- Large area3- Bouncers/security are serious business here but theyre so polite at the same time.4- Not far at all from train stations5- Great music played here6- Cheap drinks and great pours
A great spot for live local music in the village, and it wont break your wallet either. They have a 2 drink minimum, but drinks are reasonably priced. Dont forget to tip the band 😊
This place does not take reservations - even if you make them on Resy. They will most likely cancel if they have an event going on
The bartenders were great, however, the employee in charge of the karaoke was completely unprofessional. A group of 3 of us jotted our name down to sing with only one person ahead of us. The employee proceeded to ignore the list and alternated between singing his own songs (4-5 songs) and playing random songs. We finally came up next and he still delayed us. We purschased plenty of drinks and cocktails at this place and despite being next in line, we never got a chance to sink g. The only reason this isn’t one star is because of the bartending service. We came here for karaoke and didn’t get a bit of it. Would not recommend if you’re looking for a place to sing. The place was empty with almost no wait for karoeke and we never got to sing. I am completely baffled that the employees put themselves ahead of the customers. On top of all of this, it was my birthday. Do not go here if you’re looking for karoeke. It’s the equivalent to a below average Manhattan bar.
The host was super friendly and accommodating. Vibe was okay, margaritas sucked. Also the drink deal signage is a tad misleading — please verify before ordering your drinks.
My friend and his group had a bad experience at this place. On Saturday May 14, at approximately 11:30pm, my friends and I were at Wicked Willys on 149 Bleecker Street in Manhattan. As we were waiting for the rest of our party to join us, we noticed that they were having a hard time getting in to the bar. The incompetent, sad excuse of a man at the door was telling them that they were dressed inappropriately and that their ripped jeans were unacceptable attire. Mind you, I was wearing ripped jeans, too. He told us that my jeans were more subtle than the ones my friends were wearing, who were all African American. His excuse did not make sense because there were multiple patrons wearing ripped jeans, too. To prove a point, I asked a White woman--whose jeans had rips along her entire pant leg--to accompany me to the front of the bar. After point out that her jeans were not so subtle, he merely replied oh but thats different. Her jeans are fine, and insisted we were trying to make this issue about race. In other words, his actions told us that Black people were not welcome at this establishment. Although I am not surprised that this happened to us (I hear about experiences like this all the time), it was the first time I have personally been put in this position. I am disgusted and infuriated that we were discriminated against and disregarded as just a group of angry Black people.
Waitress seemed very spaced out, had to be reminded to clean our table which was still dirty, very sticky and gross. The food was only okay. We were enticed by the 50¢ wings, the only decent thing in the menu.
Willy’s… what a place. mellow vibe with live music, drink selection not the best but you’ll have a good time. wouldn’t recommend coming back for the late night dance party tho 😝 staff are nice and accommodating
Crazy atmosphere. If you like dive bars that live up to their theme then this place is awesome. I highly recommend the Shark Tank for a drink if you have more than 2 people.
The drinks were fine but boy is this place depressing. Its as though you can see the hopes and dreams of the workers being crushed as you sit there; their aspirations to work in a place thats basically Hooters with a pirate theme being dashed with every second. I left feeling as though I needed a shower and a long introspective look at the choices Ive made up to and including stepping inside.
We made reservations for 9:30 when we got there we were told we couldnt be seated until 11pm because the presidential debate was on. Then on top of that when we asked if there is anywhere that we could possibly sit and wait one of the staff members told us why dont yall go over there and tell the people to move since yall wanna sit so bad I dont even come out often and I did to celebrate my best friend birthday. Ti be treated this way was horrible.
Ok so, I got a Pulsd brunch voucher for a pretty good deal. The waitress was nice but I ordered the chicken and waffles which was HORRIBLE. I dont think the chicken even had salt or pepper. I ate it cause I was starved to be honest. The Rose Sangria was good and they might want to patch up the place a bit, my sofa chair had a big rip in it. A quick heads up to the chek if you going to cook put some love into it. I wont be going again!!
Abby was the best server, she was all the time checking of us and she make us laugh. We will come back soon best sliders ever ♥️💗
This place is amazing i went last night for ST patrick and the atmosphere was great. Everyone was having a good time. The waitress were very nice. Food took long only because place was very full. I recommend this place to anyone looking for fun
So the music in the backroom was good and the karaoke was fun (the host Fernando on Thursday was great), but thats pretty much it for this place. Upon arrival it was instantly visible that one of the bartenders was excessively drunk; were talking HAMMERED. As if their drinks werent ridiculously priced for being a dive bar ($12 jamo shot), the bartenders were blantly overcharging people.A friend of mine ordered two drinks, paid $40 and was given $6 change. When I questioned the bartender and asked for a receipt, she complained and then came back with a receipt priced at $30 and two drinks that werent what we ordered. At this point I was fed up so I called the other bartender over (the sober one) and had her sort it out. We later requested to speak to a manager and never were approached by one. Overall very upset with our visit and this horrible experience.
Its a bit of a dive and definitely has the NYU underage/frat element, but its also a fun place to go to when youre in the mood for a dive bar. Monday night is football (in season) and dollar drafts, Tuesday has a ton of karaoke. Its not the Ritz, but you can still have a good time!
