Great shows. Food is pretty good. Tables are small and tight but its worth it to see a good show at good prices. I dont even mind rubbing up on strangers to get to my seat. 😆 When the show is over go next door for an Italian margarita.

We had a good time here for a show. The only thing I find completely absurd is squeezing in 6 adults at a table top thats made for 4. It felt extremely claustrophobic. I get you want to pack the crowd up for the guest, but you also have to keep in mind the customer thats coming to have a good time. The staff was great, the atmosphere was great, I just wish there was a little more space.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful towards me and my friend. Our waiter was very nice and joked with us a bit while also checking in on us often to make sure we had enough food/drinks during the show. The atmosphere was very nice, obviously loud before the show but nothing too bad. The show itself was hilarious. Everything was very organized and kept track of which was very reassuring. This place is a bit pricey, but worth it for the experience.

We love it here. Food is solid and not outrageously priced considering its a venue. Drinks are a bit pricey, but they gotta make their money somewhere. Its a smaller club, and can be rather tightly packed, but we havent had a bad show yet. We have probably gone atleast 6 or 7 times now, and have had a fantastic night each time. I do wish there was a little more room (Im very tall), but it definitely could be worse.

The Stress Factory Comedy Club in New Brunswick is a great venue to check out comedians. There is a full bar and a bunch of good choices for food. We were there on a Wednesday night, and there was a pretty good crowd. The comedians were really good (including Jeff Norris and Chris Covert the night we were there). There is quite a bit of seating all around. The bathrooms were clean too. There is a large outdoor area where they host some of their events too. Its conveniently located very close to a garage for parking. Definitely a great time, Im sure well be back again!

A bit crowded for the space, but ok. The bathroom was very clean. The servers were busy but still took great care of us. The drinks were good, but the wings were not good to me. Very dry, even with the Buffalo sauce. Very good experience will definitely go again.

Nice venue. I appreciated the outdoor tent with heaters in order to be safer in these Covid times. Their comics were great - especially Adam Mamawalla. Their food was also good, but they could do with some more variety - especially on the healthier side of things. Their wings could also use a little less dressing. It felt I was eating bbq sauce with a little chichen. Overall I liked it for comedy. I would go back.

Overall great Comedy Club. The set up, the atmosphere is very on par. Every act I have seen was not a disappointment. Easy parking right next door. The owner - Funny! Wait staff was spectacular. The reason for the missing star is the food and drinks. I get it, its a comedy club not a restaurant, so next time I will eat before or after. However, my whole group was not happy with the food ordered at our six top. The only saving grace was the flat bread. Also the LIT was 90% sour mix. Was not enjoyed and no buzz! lol In the end I will be back!

5 stars arent enough to visibly show the amazing service I received from Management, especially Patty, and the servers during my first (not last, for certain) time at this wonderful Comedy Club! My first telephone conversation with Patty was so helpful and reassuring as I had questions regarding accessibility for my Husband. Her response and description of the venue were both very clear and she reassured me immediately. She told me that if I needed anything else to let her know. I am so very glad that I got to meet her at the Ian Bagg show last night so I could put a face to her voice and thank her in person. The venue itself is charming and so comfortable. It was only my second time in a Comedy Club in my 56+ years and it definitely was the best! My server was so wonderful and friendly. The opening act, John Wynn, was hilarious and the headliner, Ian Bagg was top notch as always! Our seats right up front were perfect. Getting to hear kind words from owner, Vinnie afterwards (and to shake his hand and thank him) were touching. It was all around a PERFECT night and after 2 1/2 years of stress post my husbands stroke, it was so refreshing! Its also our 12th Wedding Anniversary month so that made last nights experience all the more wonderful! Thank you times Infinity, Stress Factory, you took every ounce of MY stress away!!!

Apparently the blue raffle ticket they give you after you pay is the only way to exit. 18% gratuities automatically added plus we tipped extra to be just chased around outside because we dropped the blue ticket in the pitch black hole. Is this 1982 or 2024? Why no receipt as proof of payment? This has to be a tax scam for the establishment owner. Also, not sure how the city allows them to pack you in like sardines..it’s so bad you can’t even pull out your chair or walk through to stand up so many people packed in chair to chair. My 2 seats were not cheap, I was basically sitting under a corner tv, stuck in between the wall and floor speaker. The table and menus when you touch them are so sticky you would think the put glue on your hands 🤢.. The food is not cheap either and will automatically add the gratuity like I stated above. worst of all, the blue looking raffle ticket is left on your table with no instructions how to leave this smelly dark fire hazard dungeon. ⚠️ Avoid this place

Had an absolute blast last night. Walked in the door, got roasted by who I thought was head of security. Ended up hanging out with him for about an hour after show at the bar next door. A pretty terrible experience at the Stress Factory last Saturday at the T.K. Kirkland 7PM show. First, when we showed up around 6:30PM, they had a DJ playing terrible music insanely loudly. It was so painfully loud that it was completely impossible to speak to someone even sitting right next to you. I knew I was trying to speak, but I could not even hear my own words. Awful. Is this a comedy club or a dance club? Why have a DJ playing terrible music so ridiculously loudly at a comedy club? So this totally ruined our experience to begin with. Second, while the MC was very good and super funny, the two comedians they had were not. The opener comedian was OK, but not all that funny. T.K. Kirkland was pretty awful. He had a few funny lines, but not many. He was also very hard to understand. Overall, we spent a little over $300 for 4 people for a really terrible experience.

First visit to Stress Factory. The street parking is hard to find, however they are located next to a parking garage with plenty of available spots which was very affordable. We went to the new years eve show with Rocky Dale Davis and everything was perfect, from the organization of the event, the drink choices in the open bar, the quick service and the warm food buffet. Now, the comedy was the cherry on top. Boy did had a blast, Rocky Dale Davis was hilarious, but Vinnie Brand himself, who introduced the show and stepped in between comedians was just amazing. During the last few seconds before midnight they projected the NY countdown in all TVs and Vinnie brought his whole family to the stage. I was very surprised to see the amazing server who was helping us was actually Vinnies daughter! Will definitely be coming back more often, and looking forward to celebrating next new years eve here.

Went to a show tonight headlined by Vlad Caamano. Turns out the show was in mostly Spanish. That was not advertised anywhere, so we had no idea what the jokes were as we do not speak Spanish. Near the end of the show several women got up to leave and were confronted by the comedian. They said they do not speak Spanish and he proceded to attack them, not in a comedic way, but in an aggressive way. It was really uncomfortable. Bad experience both on the part of the venue and on the part of the comedian.

I have been coming to the Stress Factory for a few years now and have always had a good time with friends and family but last night was a complete horror story. My party (3) and I arrived early for the second show to see Marlon Wayans so that we could get good seats only to be one of the LAST parties to be seated in the venue which was extremely frustrating. We watched everyone walk in before us, including those who arrived way after we did. Apparently we were supposed to check in at the door to receive a number/ticket to enter but there was no one there to greet us upon arrival or a sign stating that youd need to check in resulting in us receiving a high top table fit for someone who would have arrived late. There were other groups of people that arrived early who experienced the same issue. We were initially crammed at a small table with three other people but were then moved to a high top table near the kitchen/main entrance which ended up being super loud but there was nowhere else we could sit because it was packed so we just let it go and tried to enjoy the night. My friend placed her initial order at our original table but did not receive her food at the table we were moved to until almost an hour and a half into the show. All she ordered was mozzarella sticks and fries which shouldnt have taken that long to be made. These are premade items which takes minutes to drop in a fryer. We tried talking to various staff members to see if someone would make things right but everyone was so rude especially the older woman with the sandy blonde hair. She was a complete nightmare and just overall difficult to deal with. My friend explained the situation about there not being a greeter at the front to check people in and about the cold fried food that took hours to come out and all she could say was but you ate it right? Like seriously? Why would you speak to a paying customer that way? After waiting forever to be seated, the least we could get is hot food. She ended up walking away because I assume she got annoyed only to return to the table to walk away again not resolving ANY of the issues. Just blatant disrespect. The customer service was severely lacking tonight. Stress Factory, DO BETTER!

Edited review response***I appreciate the owners prompt reply. His professionalism, in his response, displays why they are one of the top comic venues out here. I will suggest that no holds take place if possible and/or inform the staff to be more transparent with the hold and possibly hold a lesser amount. I dont believe $200 is warranted for a comic venue.Prior review****This rating is solely for awareness regarding the card hold requirement now. Ive come here numerous times, and a card was never required to open a tab when attending a show. My friend put her card, but the waitress neglected to divulge a $200 hold would be put on the card. 1. This is a comedy show, not a hotel stay. 2. Why isnt staff or signs stating this supposed new requirement? 3. If you have to close out your tab before the show ends AND have to submit a paid tkt stub upon exit, WHY is a card hold needed. I dont like dubious practices. Aside from this recent occurrence, Ive always enjoyed the shows and staff there.

I feel bad for the table with the ladies, I dont think they understood spanish as well... the comedian should really share his thoughts in english instead of spanish in a case like this. It was basically bar food like burgers, wings, flatbread, etc. The opening acts were really funny and a great introduction to the show. I also loved how the stress factory had a video on the board if the audience Pre show and was doing stuff like kiss cam and making fun of some audience members. Martin Amini was awesome! He performed all original jokes. No repeats from tiktok or social media and that honestly made the night that much better. We met him after the show and he was super friendly. First off let me say Damon Waynes was great. He had me cracking up. Five stars for his performance. Ok so let me get into the rest of my experience. One of the girls arranged for a group of us to get tickets to see Damon Waynes. It came to about $55. When we arrived I found parking on the street. When we got there the other show wasnt done so they had the 9pm show audience sit under a hot tent until the other show let out. They gave us a number, 1-55, and literally called each number to let everyone in. After about 20 minutes we got in and got some decent seats. Our server was Paige and she wasnt as attentive as we would have liked. She was really nice but there was a time she disappeared for a while before we got her to come back to our table. I ordered sangria and red wine. There was a two item order minimum. The sangria was like juice. It came to about $18 including gratuity. Besides those issues the show was funny and I had a decent experience.

Had a great time tonight. Our waitress (Maddie) was working her behind off. Bathrooms, table and chairs were clean. Here are some tips for your experience to be more enjoyable:A. 18% tips were automatically included in our checks. There was a sign somewhere. When we were given the credit card machine to pay, it asks for another tips. We did not know that the tips were already included, and added another tips. I would say for my experience, the waitress well deserves it.B. If your show is at 7, come at 5:30 (when the doors are first open), order your food, eat and use the bathroom before the show starts. There will be a line for the bathroom after the showC. The VIP seats are closer to the stage so you’re not interrupted by the servers walking. It may or may not be worth it for you because sitting up front does put you on the comedian’s radar.D. The food prices are very affordable even though they have a two-item minimal policy per person. But, if you split a check at your table, make sure you ask to see the detailed list. Our waitress got the split wrong by one bottle of water. No biggie.E. Alcoholic Drinks are on the sweet side.

I wouldnt grab a meal here just something to snack on during the show. The service is good but can be slow especially during packed shows. They do the best with what they have but could probably use more servers during those times.

I have never been to a comedy show. This was the 1st time I went out after the pandy to a place where there was a lot of people. I believe the show was sold out. The service was impressive and Impeccable. The food was surprisingly good, and the managers were even out to say hi and engage with the tables. They were strict with phones, but at least on that day, they didnt take anyones phones. A few people got too drunk, and the stress factory team escorted them out with kindness and regret they would miss the rest of the show. The checking in area, while raining that night, was done in such a quick and orderly manner. This is the longest review I think Ive ever posted, but Bryan Callen and Kevin Mac killed it. They were awesome. A great experience. DONT FORGET TO BRING YOUR CREDIT CARDS! I dont believe they took cash that night.

We always have a good time at the Stress Factory. Of course, the quality of the performing comedians is a major factor, but weve been there 3 or 4 times, and the talent has always been great. The last couple times, we ordered dinner before the show started. I wasnt expecting a gourmet meal, but the food was surprisingly great. I had the Vinnys favorite pannini, and it was delicious! The grilled chicken was perfectly tender, and I loved the curly fries, too! My wife got sweet potato fries and they were a little on the mushy side, but that kind of potato is heavier, so thats normal. The wait staff is great and very friendly and helpful. However, we ordered a dessert later and it never came. No big deal. It was very crowded, so we didnt mind. With the big sell-out crowd, it got extremely noisy in there before the show started, so be aware of the noise if youre going to a sold-out show.

Stress Factory is a fantastic comedy club! Ive seen plenty of shows here and it has always been nothing less than a great time!First and foremost, the SF books top-tier comedians. Most recently I saw George Lopez. Seeing an A-lister like Lopez in such an intimate venue was a truly special experience! Ive also seen Tracy Morgan, Hannibal Burress, Jim Breuer & Gary Gulman. Every single one was an unbelievable experience!Second, is Vinnie Brand, the owner. Brand knows his business because hes IN the business. Brand is an active comic himself and he knows what makes a good comedy club...both for audiences AND comics. This means that the shows flow smoothly without major interruptions from servers or performer changes. Also, heckler and rude audience member shennanigans are not tolerated. Huge plus! Additionally, Vinnie Brand is genuinely funny as hell. Hes always a great cherry on top of whatever other names are performing. The Stress Factory has a decent menu or both food and drinks and the prices are very reasonable. Theres a two item minimum order per person, which is standard. SF has handicapped/wheelchair access even though its below grade venue. Just be advised that seating is first come first served. If you want a shot at getting choice seating show up early. This is not to say that there are any bad seats. On the contrary, the SF is an intimate venue and there really arent any bad seats in the house. But if you show up when the club is mostly full be prepared to get in where you fit in. You will probably have to sit with some strangers or might have to split a big group up. These shouldnt be deal breakers, but just be aware. Finally, the location of the club is great. Theres a public parking lot right next door and there are tons of bars and restaurants within walking/short driving distance. If youre a Jersey resident and within reasonable distance of New Bruns, and youre a fan of good standup comedy, the SF is the place to be. If youre passing through and need a recommendation for a good time, put the Factory on your list. You wont be disappointed!

I remember when The Stress Factory was the place to go to see your favorite NYC comics work their hour sets (as opposed to 10/15 minutes at a NYC club) in New Jersey. It was an absolute treat seeing NYC heavy hitters do an hour in NJ. Norton, Attell, Quinn, etc. Booking practices seem to have changed, favoring comics who have viral TikToks, a lackluster podcast, or who spent five minutes on Americas Next Top... I check the schedule regularly, hoping for a show worth seeing, but theyve been incredibly sparse. Fingers crossed The Stress Factory will remember their roots and go back to the magic.EDIT TO ADD, BASED ON OWNERS RESPONSE: This review has nothing to do with one particular comic or one particular show. I never said it did, so Im unsure why that was even mentioned. And the fact that I said You no longer host hard working popular NYC comics and you said What about Martin Amini, Rocky Dale Davis, and Joey Kola? only proves my point. Yikes.

The comedy was top-notch! The owner is hilarious and very welcoming. The tickets, food and drinks are extremely reasonably priced and the food was very tasty. I had the hummus and Pita plate oh, my husband had several Arnold Palmers, our friends had a sampler platter and we didnt buy the buffet but those around us seem to be enjoying it and I regretted not having purchased it once I saw everyone else. I almost opted for the VIP tickets but Im glad I didnt because while theyre have a better vantage point and are directly on top of the talent, its very cramped upfront and you have to maneuver through the seats to get to and from the bathroom. It is extremely crowded but thats to be expected of a good comedy club. The bathrooms our updated, stalls are plentiful they were very clean at the beginning of the show but by the end they had been slightly neglected. There was one waiter in particular who though he was not waiting on our table, walked over any way to stabilize the slightly wobbly table that wasnt bothering us in the least. He was extremely thoughtful. Our waitress was sweet but we were slightly neglected. Overall I think that a fifth Star could have been earned if they had employed one more waitress and someone to bus the tables as well as straighten up the bathroom throughout the set. Parking is directly next door and was not terribly expensive. An overall great experience, we hope to return when it warms up because the outdoor area complete with a cute little bar and tables seems to be a great place to wait on the second show. You do have to wait on line for the second show of the evening oh, they have space heaters exceeding is a first-come first-serve basis so it pays to get there early. All in all, a great night out! This is the second time Ive been to the Stress Factory. The phone staff who work with ticket inquiries are great, and very helpful. The staff inside the club are very well organized, and we were able to pick our own seats because we arrived early. The wait staff are very nice as well. I would not go there hungry, because the two times Ive eaten here the food was pretty bland. And my drink wasnt the greatest either. But that is made up for by the quality of the talent. We saw Brad Williams, and last time saw Christopher Titus. Both performers were excellent. They worked the room well, and there are video screens in case you cant see the full stage. We got a little tired of seeing the owners name splashed around the whole place, but I guess if youve had a successful business long enough, you are entitled. We definitely would recommend this venue for seeing comedy acts, or having a party.

Ive been coming to the Stress Factory for decades. Vinnie Brand is always a great host and manages to find excellent comics regularly. Every once in a while a famous comic could come in and do a set too. One time Wanda Sykes showed up and really made the night special.Like any other comedy club Ive been to, there are a few things that could be changed to really set the place apart. 1. The chairs are the same chairs Ive sat in for decades and sitting in them almost cripples you after sitting for the whole show. 2. Sometimes the food isnt really what it should be. Ive heard many complaints over the years and have had some of my own here and there but for me its mostly been OK. 3. Service during a comedy show is always slower than any other kind of service. Im happy that SF now has servers carry around card readers so you dont have to wait endlessly for them to come back. But during the show, its slower, harder to order because you want to be quiet for the live show, etc.Im not sure if the venue ever plans to improve these issues but it would be really amazing if they did. I know there is come nostalgia about sitting in a basement and experiencing live anything, but my I feel my suggestions are fair and would enhance the experience. Much love for the place!

Nice place, the whole staff was necessary, the set up was effective. We pre-booked the table for 2, for the 7pm show. Used Google maps, it showed traffic around the club, so we parked on 27 and walked around the corner, perfect. We arrived 6:55pm, the staff got us into our table with no issue, it was a sweet because they are really organized, though it was crowded. We had beer, wings & sweet potato fries, the wings were just delicious. There were 3 comedian that stayed on for about 10 minutes each, all blew it up, but Marlon Wayans was everything you expect him to be, truly 1 of the kings of comedy, so fly. Establishment was clean, we will return.

We had a great time. Entertainment was great and the staff was extremely nice, even though they were very busy. 4 stars because it was VERY crowded. We were very lucky to get a tall table on the side but people were complaining they could barely move at their tables. Few masks and packed crowds made it uncomfortable.

I took my husband for his birthday. Stress factory is the best comedy club I’ve ever been too. The ambiance was great, staff was friendly, drinks were strong, food was good but more importantly the comics were historical. I can’t go wait to go back!!!!

My husband and I went to the Stress Factory Comedy Club for the first time last night - we had a blast! They do a pretty good job of getting a decent amount of people in the club without it feeling overcrowded, our server was AMAZING, bathrooms were clean, she food was pretty affordable. I highly recommend seeing a show here!!!

Great outdoor event, good food, wish my drink was bigger but the drink was mixed well regardless and wasnt weak. I hate going to places and the drink is weak, so they were on point with the mix. So thats the bare minimum of criticism I have. I enjoyed having my own table for 2 and the prices werent bad. Parked in a parking garage right next to it. Only 10 bucks for parking. It was a great show and a good night, I would return for sure.

Just the best! Awesome venue, staff is attentive and the food is great! They always book quality talent so youll never be disappointed. The place is famous and lives up to its hype. Vinnie Brand is always around after the show to meet the crowd and take comments, suggestions, or just take your thank you and hear your appreciation. Join the VIP club - totally worth it!

Comedy was great, but the service was poor. Double charged on more than one item, charged for items that werent ordered. Great comedy, lackluster service.

Great, great, great. The burger I had was absolutely delicious, medium rare, avocados that were perfect, bacon nicely cooked. Drinks were nice the wings are great no fat all chicken the curly fries were memorable lol. Service was nice, it was understandably slow because of the amount of people attending the show but that didn’t effect anything. Great night, funny show, nice staff. For sure I’d come back.

This was our first time going to Stress Factory in New Brunswick. We went to see Tim Dillon with some friends although Id never heard of him before. It was a little delayed for the doors to open, but once they did seating process was quick and smooth. I really dont think there is a bad seat in this place, we were at the back of the line and still had a great view. All of the acts were hilarious, especially Tim Dillon, the owner even did the opening set. Very friendly, fun atmosphere with quick service and good food. We got the tickets that came with dinner and drinks and it was a fantastic deal. Will definitely be spreading the word and going back for more shows!

The comics are great! Outdoor/tent venue with good ventilation. They do get you on the drinks. Dont ask for water unless you really want water. It turns into $15 easily. Better if you just get snacks.

Havent had a bad time yet going there. Can be tough to get a drink sometimes but overall they are a solid choice if you are looking for some laughs and something a little different to do. They bring in the big names, local comedians, and up and coming artists too.

Michael Rapaport killed it! Place was packed, but the service was impeccable. Food was delicious. I tried each one of my friends plates and each dish had something spectacular. I absolutely LOVED how they handled the line and handed people numbers to get in, and asked us to have a few drinks at the outside bar. Well done guys.
