SKN Spa

The atmosphere was nice, and the aesthetician, Fairy, was informative. However, my skin looked exactly the same. I guess that can be seen as a good thing. I had the customized facial, but maybe I need something deeper to see a noticeable improvement.

I have been to this Spa at least 10 times and love it. It is a good value for the price and the practitioners Ive seen are great. I first had a massage with Jessi that inspired me to buy a package, and have since had multiple massages with Jessi, Lenin, and facials with Jessi and I always leave very satisfied. They are informative about how products and services might serve you well without being pushy, and they never rush, even when you are the last client of the night or first client of the day. The atmosphere is relaxing, clean, organized, and all the practitioners Ive seen (there were also 2 besides the ones I named whose names I cannot remember) have been great. I highly recommend for a good service at a good value.

I loved my basic facial! Kerri was fantastic - kind and SO knowledgeable re all skin types, products, and treatments. The space is tranquil clean.

Second time here yesterday. First time was back in 2019 and in their old space. I like this new place better.My husband and I were the first hour appointments on a Sunday morning so understanding it was a Sunday, it was a slower start but no complaints, the least you can do on a Sunday is make it less relaxing. We both got the Customized Facial which was 90 mins so I like that the aesthetician took her time to assess my skins current state and see what I especially needed for the day. I got Yoyo and not only was she nice and fun to talk to, I felt that she was thorough and while extractions hurt like a mother, you actually want that to fully clean your skins congestion and mine was due to the amount of flying and travels I did during the summer. I also pretty enjoy how clean the room and overall place was (and so is the bathroom especially!) and that I get to be tucked in a weighted blanket when I got a bit chilly. Lastly, I especially love Eminence products. Theyre not cheap and they definitely deliver glowing results. Ive trusted it through the years.All these and more made us get a package. So therell definitely be more SKN spa sessions in store! Will update the review as applicable. Thanks Yoyo and SKN Spa team!

First time visiting and I had the most amazing facial with Kerri! She explained everything she did and gave lots of useful advice for my acne. I also appreciated that her hands were gentle. She is a skilled esthetician and made me feel super comfortable.Mona at the front desk was very sweet and helpful also. I loved the experience so much I decided to get a package. I highly recommend coming here

I went here because groupon had great deal on service. This shop is owned by chinese people and they will find out every way to rip you off little by little. Employees are chinese. Just so you know, they REUSE hot soft wax that has been exposed in the room without cover. Also they will mention about $280 package deal to lure you in.First of all they refused to take my groupon after the service and asked me to pay ridiculous amount . I booked the service expecting to use my groupon and this has no restriction on it . however they said they cant take it and then i asked if i could then load gift card with it and i pay the rest of it. Which means i will pay same ridiculous amount but will be able to use what i paid to groupon right? So they are not losing money at all .( and here goes the fun part, they spoke to eachother in chinese , little do they know, i am not chinese but i do speak chinese. They said to eachother about ripping me off ) of course they refused it.I had to figure out how to get refund over groupon and i paid ridiculous amount but here is the worst part. when i decided to pay , they purposely hide the card machine and by using their own computer screen, put Tip amount which they choose without my permission. And told me there will be service fee on the card and small extra fee on the top of tip as well which is very strange.At the end of the day , watch out .i have been to this shop about year and a half ago and system wasnt like this thats why i am saying they have changed and will find way to rip you off from my pastexperience. They failed to lure and lock me in for $280 package but they succeed ripping me off with multiple charges.Remember guys, it might be small fee for each on of us but the amount of customers that they are getting? Its alot of side money. And that is going to be couple 10k.

Kerri is an amazing esthetician. Very friendly and she took time to analyze my skin make sure we were taking the right steps for my skin condition. She also let me know what she was doing at every step and made recommendations for me moving forward.

I have been going to SKN spa for facials for many years now and I am always happy with my experience there. Kerri is the best. Every time I see Kerri she takes care of my skin no matter what condition it is in. After every facial with her she makes my skin glow. Kerri is very knowledgeable on what your skin needs. She always gives me the best service and makes my skin look its best. have recommended Kerri to many of my friends and anyone I know that has had a facial with her is always pleased. Jessie is unbelievable!!! She takes the time to explain everything and why one should get the services. She educated me about the RF Firming facial and ladies it took YEARS off of my life and I mean years! I highly recommend SKN and Jessie. It was extremely relaxing. I’m looking forward to coming back.

I am new to getting facials regularly and my esthetician, Kerri, who I luckily got scheduled with at my first appointment, made me feel really comfortable and talk through each step of the process. Given this is a new routine for me, I always appreciate the extra effort and information. I ended up buying a package after my first visit and have had 2 more appointments since. My skin looks great and definitely have seen some improvements. I highly recommend Kerri who is very thorough, friendly and very knowledgeable about all things skincare! Love this place so much, I had to put my partner on :) (please be aware, unexpected napping may occur lol - this place always has me at my most relaxed and stress-free self)

I’ve been going to SKN Spa to get facials with YoYo these past few months and highly recommend! The location itself is very clean and calming. Yoyo is amazing — super detail oriented, gets my skin looking and feeling amazing, gives the best shoulder massage, and best of all very easy to talk to. I’m always getting compliments on my skin afterwards. Would recommend YoYo if you’re thinking of getting a facial here!

I highly recommend my wax specialist, Sylvia! She is incredibly caring and does an excellent job. I had a fantastic experience with her. Her attention to detail and professional approach make the waxing process comfortable and efficient. I couldnt be happier with the results, and Ill definitely be returning for her services in the future. If youre looking for a skilled and caring wax specialist, shes the one to go to!

I highly recommend this place - I am a regular & a very satisfied customer for many years as I started going in their previous location . I usually get a.body & facial massage with Irene. The eye treatment is an add on to facial & amazingly you can see the difference right after the treatment. Thankfully, Darren, Irene & the rest of the team makes this cozy & clean spa a perfect therapeutic place to help maintain health & beauty.

This is a very clean place. Tina is fabulous. She is very good if you have acne problems. I have been here with her since 2018? And my face is much better and clean now.I even took my sister here when she was visiting me in new york. Oh by the way, I do recommend you guys book ur facial with platinum or premier treatment if you want to see result on your first visit.

Had a 60 minute basic facial with YoYo and it was amazing. So relaxing and my skin feels hydrated and revitalized

Been going here for 4 years and it’s been the best decision for my skin! Yoyo is so reliable and really understands how to help my skin. Through her facials and at home skincare tips, I’ve been able to fade all my scars and also get rid of my large acne breakouts (besides hormonal ones). I will continue to come here for the amazing facial packages! I don’t even live in Hell’s Kitchen anymore and I still travel from queens once a month for a facial!

Tina is my absolute favorite and she always takes really great care of me - specifically looks at my skin and how she can tweak the treatment for my problem areas. The staff is always so kind and feel like close friends. The facilities are always beyond clean and up to date AND pretty! All around, best skin care you can get in the city. I bought a facial as a gift for my Wifes birthday and she really enjoyed it. The esthetician Yoyo Wu did an amazing job. We definitely saw a difference in her skin. She was so friendly and made her feel comfortable. We highly recommend getting a facial here. 10 out of 10.

This was my first visit to SKN and I really feel like my skin is on its way back to being hydrated and rejuvenated. I spent some time in the dry desert in Arizona and my skin needed a boost. Yo-Yo really knows what she is doing there and gave me the RF facial. She cleaned my pores deeply and now my skin is brighter and healthier. I will be going back on a regular basis.

I have been coming here consistently for over a year. Yoyo is amazing at extractions and she has been able to get deep pimples even my dermatologist told me to ignored cleaned and picked out. YoYo is the best. If you have concerns about your skin, get YoYo.Im YoYos long-term customer - about seven years. I have never met any better person for facial treatment in my life. Her best strengths are she immediately diagnoses my facial issues and provides the most effective solutions to all that time. Since I met her, I dont need to worry about my skin. Whenever I get some skin issues, YoYo is the first person I come to talk to. Also, she never forces me to purchase something. If I need something and ask her if she knows the right product, she would recommend the best products (and she offers me a fantastic deal!). During the facial session, she always opens a conversation nicely. But she always notices my mood on that day. She doesnt talk to me if she thinks I need a rest. Like this, she always tries to make her customers comfortable.Speaking of the SKN spa, I love this place so much. Staff members always welcome me, and they never treat people differently who come to the spa with the Groupon deals. I have often brought my husband and brother to the spa several times. They told me they always had a good experience with other estheticians.

This was honestly one of the worse experiences I ever had to experience and witness in my life. I brought my wife here to get her Brazilian wax done hoping it would be quick and easy but I was mistaken. The lady who was performing the wax was using the same strip over and over and not sanitary about the way she did the session. The asian lady who was doin the strips also wasn’t putting anyone at ease, instead made a mockery of the pain my wife experienced saying things like “oohh it hurts” “owww i know its bad” and making facial expressions as if you are talking to a toddler. The end result was with them demanding an excess tip and refusing to let us go. The following day, the area which was waxed became filled with pimples and also was hurting. This was my experience with them and everything which I didn’t want to occur, happened.

I have been going to SKN for many years now and so lucky to have Tina as my esthetician! (slightly hesitant to post this because it might get harder to book an appointment with her in the future) She is the absolute best! Very professional and explains every steps. She always took time during the entire facial and never a single time I feel rush. Highly recommend Tina!!

SKN spa is my favorite place for hydrating facials in NYC, great staff, everyone is so lovely and accommodating. I love Yoyo, she always saves my skin, my favorite facial is the collagen with ultrasound and LED, and I love that they have packages and add ons depending on what your skin concern is. They have the best prices and each session is customized to your skin needs. 💖💖💖

This review is long overdue, considering how I ve been with them for 5 years or so. I came across this place when they had groupon deals. I met Tina, their esthetician that day and she was wonderful. 5 years later, I am still seeing her and she have absolutely changed my life. I was dealing with a lot of acne back then and after seeing her for a while, all my acne is basically gone. I am getting married in two weeks and Tina been prepping my skin for the BIG DAY. I cant thank her enough for all the effort she put into my skin the past years. She is very easy to talk to, listen well and very detail orientated. She is always updating me on how I need to work on to make my skin better, how to look out for it, etc. I had such a wonderful experience with her that. Will continue to see her and only her!

I bought a Groupon for the Organic Facial and I could not be happier I did. SKN offers premium services in a beautiful salon. From the moment I arrived, I felt really cared for as a customer.My facial was with Jenny. She took the time to explain all the steps and products she used for my facial. She was excellent at every turn, really demonstrating that shes an expert in skincare. I left my appointment with glowing skin and really relaxed. I would return for another facial and definitely recommend.

The staff are very friendly, and the place is so clean! I thought it was a new store but turns out they just keep it super clean. I had the hydrobrasion facial. It was so relaxing and my lady, Sylvia was super helpful in answering my questions and just keeping me company. Compared to most spas, the extractions done here are less painful. I definitely recommend this place. After coming here once, I couldn’t help but buy a facial package with them.

I had my first facial here recently and it was an amazing experience! As a male, having never done a facial, and with a beard, I had no idea what to expect. Kerri was my esthetician and was great about making me feel comfortable while also educating me on my skin, and the facial process. I was never left wondering what was going on or what that tingling feeling was, she proactively shared these details which made the first-time experience so great.She recommended a skin care regimen and wasnt pushy with trying to sell products.I walked out finally understanding why women are so excited to get facials (shh dont tell my fiance I said such things).My fiance goes here too and gets her facials with Fairy.

I love SKN Spa! I’ve tried other places around the city for facials and none are up to par with the service you get at SKN. I’ve had appointments with several of the aestheticians at the spa and all of them are so professional and know what they are doing. They take pride in what they do and are really the best I’ve been to in NYC.

If you plan on visiting this location I highly recommend you seeing Yoyo she is by far the most amazing specialist! I have been going to her for about a year now and it’s by far the best choice I’ve made. She is so caring and makes my visit so worthwhile. I get the laser Brazilian and I must say it is pain free!!! Go see Yoyo you won’t regret it!

Unfortunately, I will NOT be returning to this establishment. The extractions were painful as can be. The lady asked me why my last name was my last name because I was asian and then she started to asked me very personal question that was very inappropriate to ask a client. The lady then proceeds to put a face mask on and then left the room for literally 30 mins. My appointment was for a 75 mins starting at 3:30pm. I did not get out of there until 5PM!!!! To top it off when I was checking out the receptionist asked me how much I wanted to tip and the lady that did my facial was standing right there literally stared at me as I was saying the amount. If she wasnt there I would not have given her tip I originally said.

Fairy is just the most wonderful professional person Ive ever met. Very caring and sweet Everytime I come in. Thats why I keep coming.

I got a 75 minute facial with a Groupon offer.The results were great. very clean and relaxing place.I wouldnt get the facial that included extraction though. it hurt and she didnt extract my pimples completely.Overall good for just a facial.

One of the best facials I’ve ever had. Clean, mellow, space, with excellent attention to detail. Clean organic products. And amazing job on extractions, one of the best I’ve ever had. Couldn’t believe the difference they made on my face. Without irritation or bad reaction.

Ive been here two times and have had a pleasant experience thus far. Fairy is really friendly and patient and spends a long time on extractions, unlike some places. Yes, your face will be red for a day or two, but your skin will be in much better condition after a few days.

I have been going to Yoyo for about 10Yrs. Before skn spa she worked in Brooklyn. She is amazing..your skin will be glowing and youthful. I like that she recommends products to help in between facials, also front desk staff are very kind and informative on products as well. You definitely will not be disappointed if choosing this spa and aesthetician Yoyo. You will leave feeling rejuvenated and receive lots of compliments on your skin!

This is my second time at SKN spa. The first time I came a few years ago I had an amazing massage. This time I wanted to try a body treatment which has been on my mind for awhile. The many things I love about SKN spa is its spacious, clean, have a serene and relaxing environment, and they have great customer service. My only gripes about I had about this service was despite this was my first body treatment, nothing was explained about what was going to be done. So, when the treatment started I was noticeably uncomfortable with the pressure which she lowered. She was not really personable and kept on looking at the timer. It made me think twice about recieving other body treatments there in the future despite often monthly promotions which was offered to me by the receptionist at the end and of course its pricey. We will see if there will be a third time.

The best NON painful bikini wax I’ve ever had. I’m not kidding. Jessie is an absolute godsend. I’ve never had a wax that I didn’t dread. She was so kind and gentle and I just had the most wonderful experience with her.

I feel it is wrong that I dont say something about my unbelievable great facial done by YoYo at SKN Spa on 10th Avenue, Manhattan.I did my very first facial with SKN Spa last Monday and I was very lucky that YoYo did my facial for me. She listened to my concerns and what I looked to achieve carefully and patiently. She is full of knowledge and humble. She understands me very well.She did a great job and I bought a package of 5 facials immediately after my facial. I so look forward to my next facial.Again, YoYo, you rock. Thank you so much!!

I did not have a good experience the esthetician was polite however she did not do a good job on my face. I came with three pimples on my face and she didn’t not extract them at all. I still have the pimples on my face. Also she used PCA products on my skin when i specifically asked for eminence products. I went home with my face red and overly dry and peeling for over 7 days i called and emailed and they offered no support besides a free hydration facial and refused to refund me my money . 8 days later i still have three large pimples on my face that i am managing on my own as my only reason for going was for the extractions and my face is still dry... I do not recommend this place .

Yoyo is the best! She makes my face glowwww and feel baby soft for days. She is so knowledgeable about skin care products and techniques. I recommend her to anyone that needs a pamper sesh!

My friend and I came in on a Friday evening for a customized facial. I told my lady that I had a lot of blackheads and enlarged pores. My skin did look cleaner after the facial and it felt very smooth. However, it wasnt the relaxing experience that I had hoped for because for most of the facial, she was trying to sell me packages for a chemical peel for a future visit. I already said no (nicely) a few times, but she was very persistent. She finally gave up, but thats only because the session was over. Even with our Groupon, the facial was pretty pricey - so Im not sure Id be back, especially if I have to spend the whole facial listening to a sales pitch.

I love this place! Been going here for years! Everyone is so great. Tina recognized that my skin actually isnt acne prone, just dehydrated and recommended that I switch my products to get rid of all acne-related washes and toners. My skin has been completely clear since. Not even my dermatologist figured this out.

Another great experience with Fairy and Yoyo for my sister and me. They make this necessary pampering and maintenance all the more enjoyable.Always enjoy my facial from Fairy and Tina. Such great Spaweek promotions in April and October for a special pampering visit.Wonderful service. Amazing facials from Yuki, Kerri, Yo Yo, Fairy, Toby, Karen, Jenny, and Yanni and fantastic massages from Meredith, Jessie, Yo Yo, Frances. We frequently return for facials and the massage promotions are great.

I went there on Monday and I have to say it was the best facial ever !!! Tina did an amazing job. She is very professional and super friendly I highly recommend her ! I can’t wait to get another facial in that place .

I did a sires of 3 facials and it was ok, This is the Starbucks of spas- not amazing not bad - ok . Dont expect boutique or an amazing experience expect average to good and youll be happy with it.

I have been here at least 10 times for various services - mssages, organic and basic facials, and a couples facial. Each time, the servive is exceptional. Its always easy to book with them because the receptionists are very sweet. I have massages/facials with Jessie, Fairy, Steve, Kerri and Yoyo at various times. Ive been to numerous other high-end locations and SKN is just as and in many ways better than places that charge at least double what they do. I absolutely love this place and as a frequent spa-goer, I would have to say that its my favorite.

Im posting this reviews after visiting MANY times. I scheduled an appointment for a facial, I had a work emergency come up and wanted to move my appointment 2 days. I was informed I would be charged $25 to reschedule. I told her ok then just cancel it. I was then informed it would be on my file and they would charge me $25 the next time I came in. Horrible customer appreciation.UPDATE:The manager emailed me and waived the fee.

Facial was good- but definitely over priced for the service. They say it’s 75 min but you’re sitting in the room by yourself for at least 20 of those minutes. They give a 30 second massage at the end and honestly for the price I expected a higher quality facial.

This place is a true gem. Not only is it beautiful and clean, I always feel the staff is on top of their game and very polite. Its a wonderful place and not too expensive.Totally recommending it for facials and massages that Ive tried. Go you will feel pampered. Oh and I love the automatic heated bathroom, its a treat!!

Everything was clean and spacious. Didnt feel cramped. They have a gorgeous bathroom with a heated toilet! Everything is very relaxing and a gem in the area. The relaxation room after your services are done is a nice touch. They arent rushing you out the door like some other places. And they dont try to sell you too hard. Love it.

Ive been going to SKN Spafor several years now. My first time there was from a Groupon, but Ive continued to go back. It is not located that close to my house either. I enjoy both the facials and massages there - both are high quality.

Tina is the best you can get in the city for acne extraction basically she has saved my face ever since we met and I have tried A LOT of other facials in the city.

I have been a client here for years, and some of the girls are very good. My issue today was with their groupon policy. I saw they were offering a groupon for a facial. I read the fine print and didnt see anything in it about it being for new customers only (usually this is very clearly stated) i bought it and then emailed them. they told me i couldnt use it or alternatively, they could bill me a $25 duplicate usage fee (sounds totally made up, i know) bc i had used a totally different groupon, for a different service over 3 years earlier. Then they sent me an email with groupons actual rules and regs, (not the fine print under skn spas offer, but i should have searched on the groupon site for their rules (who would even know where to find these on the site???) and they showed me that groupon dictates that unless specifically stated otherwise, all vendors only allow 1 voucher by any one client anytime anywhere.with a spa on every other corner in NYC, i think Ill go elsewhere.
