The Center Sanctum

I have been a longtime customer of The Center Sanctum. I have used their medi-spa services and both my husband and I get massages regularly. They recently joined with the Hope Valley Retreat to offer both public and private events. I was fortunate to be able to attend the February 2024 Galentine’s Day event. This was my first visit to the Hope Valley property and I was blown away by the beauty of it nestled in almost 50 acres of wood. This former Longaberger homestead is a hidden gem in Newark, Ohio and the perfect location for a health and wellness retreat.Upon my arrival, I was warmly greeted by Melissa and Carolee, the owners of The Center Sanctum (the best medi-spa in town). The retreat had a cozy vibe, and I could smell the tantalizing aromas coming from the kitchen. I was provided with an individualized agenda that was customized to my selection of spa services. It was apparent that Melissa, Carolee, and their staff spent considerable time organizing the event to exceed our expectations.During the event, I attended yoga and a sound bath at the glass house on the hill that was simply breathtaking and relaxing. The cocktail making event was a blast and this was accompanied by an arrangement of mouthwatering hors doeuvres. The personal chef also created an elegant lunch that tasted like five-star dining (thank you Buckeye Chef!).To wrap up my day, I had three customized spa services provided by The Center Sanctum team. The Ageless facial detoxed and plumped up my skin. I felt like I had that “juicy” skin of my youth. I also received Reflexology and a Hot Stone massage. Both massages helped to release tension and ease my aching back and muscles. I felt like a million dollars when I was done!Overall, I would recommend The Center Sanctum and Hope Valley retreat services. Not only do they provide events throughout the year, but they also plan private events for individuals and businesses. These are two great businesses working together to bring joy, happiness, health, and wellness into the lives of others. Have attended this spa for 20 years and have to say it just gets better all the time! Have never met a product or person I didn’t like here. Massages, treatments, supplements and airbrushing have always been high quality and keep reaching next level care at manageable, very fair pricing. Every level and ideal of beauty and peace are attainable here. The owner, the staff and even the building is beautiful, warm and comfortable. 15 out of 10 stars ❤️

My skin care professional recommended Center Sanctum and Kathy in particular for a body wrap. I went for one session and have signed up for 6 more. My skin feels so good after the wrap and my whole body feels good. I have not lost as much weight as I had hoped, but that was not the main reason for going. It has helped me feel better physically and mentally!

I had a 75 minute full body massage and 50 minutes of reflexology. I have never had such an amazing experience and feel like a completely new person. I can’t wait for my next appointment. Thanks Sandy!

A little apprehensive, my regular massage therapist moved, and I needed to find another close to my house. Called an made an appointment with Melissa to help with stress, headaches, and boosting my immune system. Absolutely fantastic experience! Didnt even need to tell her my ailments, she intuitively and expertly helped me tremendously! I will be back. :)

I really didnt want to give any stars. I called over three weeks ago asking questions about services that I was interested in. I was told that the manager would give me a call back because she could better answer my questions, I still have yet to receive any call. After reading some of the reviews, I am probably better off as my money would have been wasted. I feel the questions I was asking that were related to safety on some procedures were wanting to be avoided, BUT a courtesy phone call would have been appreciated. Just shows the type of business you are dealing with. The young lady I spoke with on the phone was rude to begin with. My money will be spent well elsewhere, where the customer is appreciated and respected. Give it another year and this place will be out of business.

Had another massage today and it was awsome! I had sandy lamb and she was great!

I went there looking to loose about 15 lbs. The girls there insisted that this would work easily for me using the laser lights. I spent $299 for 4 sessions. After two weeks, my weight had not changed nor did my appearance. The girls took before and after photos, one gal did the before, the other did the after. They did the same for taping, one measured before, one measured after. I went in for a post light therapy consultation unhappy and with no results. One gal insisted I had lost 10 inches. That was false information. She measured me in different spots than the previous gal. Then she insisted my skin was smoother. I still see the same thing in the mirror and believe they Photoshoped my photo. I have no way of knowing other than what I see in the mirror. She then asked in a stern voice, well did you follow the diet and drink lots of water? I said no one told me about a diet, but I do eat right, exercise and drink a lot of water. She just seemed to be looking for excuses of what I did wrong and insisted I lost 10 inches. No way did I loose that.I was told that the other gal (the owner) would call me later that day and I would continue to loose weight for the next few weeks. Well it has been over 2 weeks, (4 weeks total) no phone call and my weight and measurements are exactly the same as before I went in there. I feel I threw $299 into the garbage. I am so very upset with the lack of concern from them after my sessions, but before they were all about me spending my money and would for sure see results. Dont waste your time or your money folks, this does not work, no matter how kind and sweet they appear. I do not trust photos as anyone can photoshop them .Just diet and exercise is the ONLY way to lose weight. Youve been advised

Absolutely wonderful massage in a relaxing spa :)

The staff and facility are nice but laser like lipo doesnt work. I purchased 10 sessions and saw no results. I still have 2 left that I probably wont ever use since its a waste of my time and a hastle to find an hour during my work day.

I have been starting the injections for energy and so far I have more energy now than I have ever had I am going every 2 weeks to get my body back in motion more often thank you guys for the help they have an amazing crew.
