High Hope Newport

I’ve come to high hopes for three piercings now and every time I have had a great experience. The area and tools are clean and safe and the atmosphere is stress free and inviting. Greg is excellent and is very good with directions and the actual piercing, I will keep coming back and recommend this place to everyone looking to get a piercing!

I’ve bought several glass pieces from High Hopes over the years and they have all lasted. All of them have gone through hell and back and are still in one piece. They also almost always give you at deal at the register! Great service

Greg was great. He took at least 15 minutes to get set up; sanitized, talked us through the process, gave great tips on care/healing process, and made sure both myself and my 10yr old were happy with the marks before he began. These were her second ear piercings but Im sure there will be more to come. Well be back, for sure!

Just had a great experience at High Hopes in Newport Rhode Island. Nick behind the counter knows what he’s talking about from top to bottom in the shop. What a great experience thumbs up, fast in and out all around five out of five.

Highhope Newport is one of our vendors for our clothing line that we are coming out with. I am so glad that we were able to connect with them. We have so much art their and the noodle store right next this establishment. The owners have supported us from the very beginning and sells our products, as well as displays our art (not for sale). He has contacts to a database of artists and collects works that he knows will be big down the road. Our goal at Munkizm is to provide this owner with a very high degree of exposure and revenue for all the help he has done so far for us. If you dont go in and check out his work, you are missing out on a lot of talent that goes through that place. His shop sells so quickly that everything is always new and unique. Will be bringing in our followers here all the time.

Experience was awesome! For someones first time I wasnt really knowing what to expect. But, Greg took the time to explain everything from the process to aftercare and honestly made the whole experience painless. Had my nose pierced here about a year and a half ago! Had a really good experience, and Greg is very knowledgeable about cleaning procedures, placement of piercings and jewelry. I had a bad reaction to the hoop, switched it out with a stud, a year later I came and changed the jewelry once it was all healed and Greg was excellent! Would definitely come again.

Just got three piercings done at High Hopes in Newport. The owner (Greg) was very nice and knew exactly what he was doing. I loved the angle in which he did my cartilage, and the spacing he put between each piercing he did. He was very gentle and knowledgeable. My piercings are healing great with the after care he provided me with. High Hopes also has a great selection of jewelry for all types of piercings that were beautiful.

I made an appointment to get my industrial done. Susie was super nice at the front desk when I went in and very positive and reassuring me it was going to be okay because I was nervous. Greg did an awesome job measuring my ear and picking the right bar for my ear size. He was quick and it was relatively painless and it looks freaking awesome. Ive wanted this piercing done for more than 5 years and Im so happy that I was able to get it done at High Hope because they did such a great job and they were so welcoming! Getting my naval piercing for the second time had me a little anxious because of the scar tissue. Greg made the procedure comfortable and quick, and talked me through everything. If you’re getting a piercing, I recommend coming here! Great customer service and clean/safe conditions!

My teenage daughters have been begging to have their nose pierced. I must say that I am so impressed by Gregs professionalism and attention to detail. He made sure that the location of the piercing was absolutely perfect. He took the time to thoroughly explain the piercing and most importantly the cleaning and healing process. I had an extremely positive experience at High Hope! I went in to get a lobe piercing with a friend.. both of us were very nervous. Greg was very helpful, kind, and professional. Both Greg and the shops atmosphere were calming and we relaxed quickly. The shop was clean and all piercing tools were sterile. I really enjoyed the service from stix n studs! I got two cartilage piercings today along with my friend. My other friends got seconds and a belly button piercing. Most excellent piercing experience Ive ever had and Im a Newport local who has tried them all. I wanted a pretty tricky daith piercing, and the owner, Greg, assessed the location, worked with me, and ultimately gave me a beautiful piercing that I absolutely love. The shop is clean and well maintained. Greg also truly cares about his customers aftercare and healing process by being so easy to contact for questions and checkups.

My daughter and I went in with previously pierced noses that were pierced incorrectly at a different location. The owner couldn’t have been more knowledgeable about aftercare and correct techniques. He fixed us both up and we are now on the mend. Highly recommend this place. Professional and nice guy.

Greg recently pierced me and it was a wonderful experience. He showed me all of the clean and freshly packaged tools and showed me how he was picking out which bars to use for the piercing. I got a ear piercing before work. I was really nervous. Everyone has to go to Greg. Hes super accommodating and just easy to talk to. My piercing went so much better than I thought and all the girls at work love it. I was walking by him on broadway a bit after and hes asking hows it feel. High hopes is the best! I’ve been coming here for years, I’ve gotten 10 different piercings over that time, and I can say without a doubt that I’ll never go anywhere else. You can buy bitcoin in the store, a variety of incredibly beautiful glass, and so many different products. It’s actually one of my favorite places to be. The people who work there are hella nice, they always update their Instagram and have a good selection of new products, and I’ll be continuing to come here for years to come. 11/10 would recommend you come here.

If you are in need of ANYTHING, come here. To start off, Greg was amazing. He was such good help, knew all of his material, and had a great store for all your necessary purchases. While I was here I went to two other places, but nothing beats High Hope. 100% recommend!

Greg is the man and he runs a tight ship. He has a great knowledge of all the products and has a great selection! He is very reasonable about prices and is friendly and an interesting guy to get to know. On top of all that he has a wide selection of the jump pods and unlike many of he other people around he wont jack up the prices just for some easy money. After a very unpleasant experience trying to change my nose jewelry at Rockstar Body Piercing, I went and saw Greg who welcomed me warmly (along with his staff) and offered to help me out. He not only gave me what I was looking for with my nose, but he noticed that two of my other piercings were very inflamed and switched the jewelry out for them as well, for a very small cost. I 100% recommend going to see him for any jewelry change needs or any piercings for that matter. He is a very trusting and charismatic person and I will be going to him for any of my piercing needs from now on!

Amazing spot and great addition to Westerly. The bar has a NYC vibe that is casual yet trendy. The menu is small but everything I have tried has been amazing. The roasted oysters, steak tartare and burger were absolutely delicious. The star of the menu is the NY strip. I usually don’t bother ordering a steak unless I am at a steak house but this steak but this is the exception. It is the best steak I have ever had (sorry Lugers). My only complaint is reservations are tough to get so plan ahead and you won’t be disappointed.

I live an hour away and High hope is the only place I get pierced. The attention and care of the staff is top notch at every point in service and they truly guarantee a safe, high quality experience. 10/10 best place to get pierced in RI.

WOW! Awesome shop, I came in for an earring and it smelled fabulous - not your typical smoke shop scent. He has a diffuser with Essential Oils running. I ended up walking out with the earring, basic knowledge of Essential Oils and was able to try some samples. He hosts Wellness Events once a month so Im hoping I can start attending. Of all 13 piercings I have, Ive never had an experience that pleasant. He took the time to make sure that the piercing was aligned perfectly and wasnt afraid of marking me again and again to get it right ! As for the stabbing experience it was done perfectly and barely felt it and definitely didnt feel the switch to the piercing. He also went out of his way to make sure that Ill have the best healing experience. Ill absolutely come back with my other projects!

High Hope is a phenomenal place to get what you need to decorate your place. The owner has high quality products and takes care of every customer he can. His store is changes constantly because he is always selling things out of his store. If you see something you like, you should probably buy it because chances are, next time you go back in, it wont be there.

This place is probably my favorite head shop. More than just smoking materials, theres a plethora of other cool stuff! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and I highly suggest checking them out! The prices are super freaking reasonable, and they have lots of local glass. So basically, youre supporting a local business who also supports local businesses!

Stopped into the shop while on vacation to checkout the body jewelry they had available and was dissapointed with the selection. All the jewelry they carried was surgical steel and low quality, no titanium options, no gold options, no threadless jewelry.

Fantastic glass shop, Ive purchased several bongs and various other products here and its always a good experience.I had a problem with a pice of glass I recently bought there and I simply called the store. the owner told me to bring it in and when I got down there I was shocked when he literally said to pick something else off the shelf. I ended up coming home with a pice that was more expensive than the one I returned and it is absolutely perfect. Definitely recommend.

Went to get juice for my vape..I guess salt nic is the same ? The Rona is a pain for us all but I wanted 6 mg regular e juice without a menu of what they had it was a guessing game had high hopes for this place and ended not sure if its what they should be doing .. probably better in other aspects just fell short of the juice category, nice shop from the entrance I saw couldnt go much further. So I couldnt tell if they had coils or anything else to purchase. Maybe Ill try again maybe not.

I got a cartilage piercing today the guy who it it was totally professional, neat, and clean. The price was reasonable and he was really cool guy! I highly recommend this place.

High hopes is an amazing piercing shop. I got a double helix piercing yesterday and Greg walked me through he was so calm and he was super chill he’s awesome.
