Poor service . They close at 2 . Let us in at 1:35 . Allowed us to get a drink and than didnt give us a chance to drink it . Kicked everyone out at 1:45 . Poor service. Wont be back .

Have lived in North Myrtle Beach for 12 years. Bought a house in Longs and apparently the owner does not allow residents of Longs to enter Pirates Cove and Sky Bar. Absolutely ridiculous just because my new address says so. Ruined the local places. Thanks

Waited at the outdoor bar for drinks. 6/13/24 6:15p Bartender skipped me twice so I went down the street to the International and spent my $60 gladly.

Dont waste your time or money. Weve been here 3 times over the last couple months. It could be a great place. Its got a great setup. But theres like no one here anytime we come. The service is bad (slow and not friendly). The prices are high and as others have said small dixie cups. We ordered tall drinks and we got 6 ounce plastic cups. They advertise a country bar (daisy dukes). They clearly have no idea what that means. No band, no DJ, no dancing... Youve got that big dance floor, why dont you have country dance songs, line dancing, line dance lessons???? You could be a very successful country bar, if you had a clue!?!!

Do yourself a favor and checkout the newly modernized pirates bar in North Myrtle!The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience and quality of the drink (even though it’s a bit overpriced) The sound quality and dj is awesome and most importantly, clean bathrooms! I’d recommend it, just make sure Andreas is your bartender he’ll take care of you!

This place is always empty, but theres so much potential! The rooftop is awesome. Bartenders are always nice, drinks are pricey. They had great live music last time we were there.

This place has such potential! Would have stayed all night but now I know why there was not a single soul in there….. 4 mixed shots for $70. If they fix their pricing I would love to go back and give it another try.

This place is by far a must not visit. Pictured is the bartender the whole time I was there. Drinks are over priced 24 bucks for a jack and coke, and a vodka and cranberry. To add the drinks were weak as hell.

Robert is the absolute best bartender you could ever want! We 1st visited here couple nights ago & was disappointed. Decided to try again. The Hot wings were on point! The drinks were ice cold and the hospitality was perfect! Very personable cook & bartender with great attitudes! Made us feel right at home! Even when I got smacked with an air blown umbrella stick the bartender was concerned! Great employee! Give the man a raise! Just kidding, glad we gave this place a second try!

Worst bar Ive ever been to in my life. Place looked like a strip club, and the drinks were served in Dixie cups smaller than Ive ever seen. The bartender, who had 0 personality, couldnt even make a long island iced tea because the cup he tried to use was made for kindergarteners. DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR. Fat Harolds beach club across the street has a really awesome bartender that actually talks and relates with you.

Used to be my favorite place! The bar was remodeled last year and I was anxiously waiting on them to open back up. When they did I went back and the atmosphere was completely different. Just aweful! Completely different music. I was then informed it was under new ownership. It has the feel of Panama city during spring break, seems to be just a bunch of college aged vacationers experimenting with drugs. Also, vacationers who repeatedly visit cherry grove chose the area because we have a friendly local community feeling that myrtle does not offer. The owner is trying to turn main street into Broadway at the beach. The previous owner did not charge locals and the new owner does. The new owner will realize very soon that when the tourist are gone and we are the only ones still here that he needs the locals to support him through the winter months. He just will not make it through the winter.

Avoid this place. Only Mexican restaurant that doesnt serve salsa. Only serves a very limited selection of canned beer at high prices. Too expensive for what you get, and check the tables. The first table I was seated at was about to collapse.

We were there early and had the bar to ourselves. The staff was friendly and accommodating and we had a blast. Also the food was good. They messed up on our order and the tarter sauce was expired but other than that it was a lot of fun and the drinks were great.

Any bar is fun if you drink enough so I did have a good time and the band playing was really really good, however there are no beers on tap... what kind of bar doesnt have beer on tap? The wait staff was friendly and if your in this neck of the woods, I would recommend checking this place out.

Overpriced and incompetent.Went to this location as a large group and ordered their expensive food which was a big mistake. Firstly, a member of our group had his real ID taken by the bouncer which claimed it was fake (cops came and it was eventually returned as it was real), banning our friend from the premises. Following this, our appetizer was served cold and had to be returned to the kitchen which was a large inconvenience. Finally, our actually meal never arrived and was served to us after our entire group got their checks even though we all ordered at the same time.I have never been served a meal after the check until I ate here...

If you like $12 cocktails served in a Dixie cup smaller than you get to rinse out your mouth at your dentist, this is the place for you !!!

They have a really bad door person that does not understand customer service or the value of a customer. This short lady that works the door actually told me she did not care if I came back to the bar after I voiced my displeasure with how she greeted me at the door as I entered with a drink from another bar. I am 52, and understand that I could not enter with the drink, it many beach bars are forgiving so I tested the waters. She asked did I buy that drink here, I replied jokingly “ginger ale” and laughed. She started raising her voice and demands that I leave. The bar was at maybe 10% capacity. I mumbled ok and I won’t come back and she answered “Good”. The bar needed my business, since covid has killed the typical business in this town and regardless, more business is always good. This bar needs to do a better job screening employees that understand I was a hundred dollar tab that she just said “good” when I said I won’t come back because she was so offensive about me having a drink and joking with her about it. Any other bar, just politely explains that you can’t enter with a drink and let’s you finish it outside or throw it away and enter and does not become aggressive over it.

Friends and I had a great time! On the night we went, there were more 21 to 30 yos than any other age group. Still had a great time up on the crows nest deck! Highly recommend you check this place out after 9:30pm for the most action.

Great spot, good mixture of both locals and tourists, although local crowd comes out a bit later. Bartenders are fantastic, friendly, and make great drinks. Service is fast, and have a large dance floor with usually live bands playing popular music.

Andrais is great! he never fails to Disappoint me when I come. He’s hands down one of the best bartenders to ever serve me! I will be coming back next year when I’m in town again.

We were on vacation and decided to eat here. We walked in and sat down. The waitress took 20 minutes to come to our table. But by that time we were getting up to leave that place. And I believe the only reason she was coming when she did is bc she saw us get up to leave. They were NOT packed. We were the only ones in there which didn’t make sense but we should have seen it as a sign.

Came here during the pub crawl had a great time! Great drinks and the women behind the bar had a greattttt attitude while being wayyyyyy over busy. Not sure they thought half of the state would be there ahahah.

My last visit to Pirates Cove was a hot, sweaty and out of control mess. The place smelled like urine, and they charged an arm and a leg for a CAN (yes, CAN) of beer. Excellent location, but poor execution on the interior/exterior design and conditions of the building and the upstairs deck. This place definitely has potential and looking forward to seeing what theyre able to do with it in the upcoming years.

2 burgers, 1 sandwich, an order of cheese sticks, 2 beers, 1 cocktail & 4 shots. $123. Overpriced mediocre food. Only reason they got 2 stars is for their security. Great guy

This location Is Not African American friendly. The late-night waitress was not interested in helping me & girlfriends. She also smoked a cigarette just before attempting to make our drinks after I had to ask a Caucasian male that was sitting at the bar also to get her attention for me. It worked (sadly)

Lets get this review off on the right foot. For starters, if youre trying to meet the finest women (and men...duh) Myrtle Beach has to offer, then the Ole Cove is the place for you. If that doesnt satisfy your appetite, lets talk about the drinks. They have the finest selection youd ever need: top shelf vodka-red bull and Bud lite. If that STILL doesnt get your blood vessels pumping, hop onto the dance floor. Grab your finest fedora or your largest cowboy hat and come twerk it out to some solid live 80s electric only hits (with some 90s beastie boys tracks to mix it up). The Ole Cove is sure to make you happy anytime of year as it did for me during #BBW2017

Ok last year my school came here on beach week, there was no entry fee if you were 21 and if you were 18 you had to pay $5. This year, i understand not letting under age people in anymore but charging a $10 cover fee???? Pirates cove is loosing money and costumers to the taco shack because people (especially college students) would much rather pay for food than an expensive cover fee. To the owners of pirates cove: your business decision to charge a $10 cover fee is decreasing consumer flow, which in turn is decreasing the amount of money people are spending at your establishment. I’d much rather pay $10 for a drink than a cover fee. I would actually be willing to spend more than $10 ok drinks but because of their charge price, I’m spending $0 instead. Pirates Cove, do yourself a favor and stop charging an outrageous cover charge, your losing money.

I am a local and I love this place. Especially when theres live music! Drink prices are high but its worth it. Pirates Cove is my fave spot in NMB.

This place has such a great atmosphere and staff. My new favorite watering hole. Great karaoke and live bands. Top shelf place.

Best black eyed peas ever , EVER I told my momma to step her game up because I know now shes been feeding me horse sh** needless to say the cook is just as gorgeous as her food taste and I cant wait to go back

Great bands usually and a DJ or whatever but good people enjoying good music and good times!Now is the time of year to visit and go up on that deck and just watch the ocean and chill.

New ownership, its like walking into a drug Den. They have a metal detector wand that they search or wand you every time that you go in. The place makes you think that theres drug-dealing and a sketchy crowd or why would they search you. Theres hardly anyone ever in there and Im not surprised.

Dark, cheap drinks, music. Plenty of locals in the off season which I always take as a good sign. I was there in a Saturday night and they has free barbecue.

I see why it’s called Pirates Cove, because they truly are robbing people with their outrageous prices. Was charged $30 for two mixed drinks that were in tiny plastic cups. Never again!

I ordered a gin & tonic. For $5, I got nothing but club soda! If I wanted Alka Seltzer, I would have gone to the pharmacy! Sux!

Drinks are super pricey. To vodka and redbulls cost me 33$ excluding tip. Nor are you allowed to open a tab.

Awful service, stale taco shells, old queso, food was not good. Should not be advertising as a Mexican restaurant, it’s really just a night club. word.
