Booked for NYE. Table we were placed at was overbooked. Julian Fowler had overbooked every table. We ended up getting a good seat, but it was because a lady working there demanded he place us at a good spot. Fowler lied about our money. Owed us $100, and I had to go nose to nose with him. Said he didnt owe us, and I pulled up receipt and proved it! But the band Too Much Sylvia was fantastic.
Only open for “special occasions”. Drove 30 minutes to visit because it said it was open. Don’t visit without calling.
I HAVE been there, and I always have a good time. Lots of great bands appearing regularly. I cant understand how someone could leave a bad review based on others opinions and never checking the place out for yourself. I am a local and love it there!!
There was a big crowd in our group.Went down for SOS paid $35 to get into the clubs then had to pay just to get a table there. They are the only one that charged extra money. Seems like they would participate in SOS like all the others. Then they use a mixture when making drinks which was a joke, only one liquor in a LIT a big joke!!!! ( there were several bar tenders in our group as well as bar owners )
This is the worst club Ive been to. They grabbed my hand so hard that they bruised it when they stamped me. Then the security guard came in the bathroom and demanded I got out of the stall when I was in the midst of peeing. From there, a male security guard told my two male friends they had to leave from being too drunk despite them not even having anything to drink, leaving me, a tiny female alone. From there, I was outside talking to my friend when said male security guard got in my face and interjected himself into my conversation. He was being very aggressive and threatened to get an actual cop to arrest me if I didnt shut my mouth even though I didnt say anything to him. Overall the staff seems pathetic and they project that into the establishment by being on some sort of power trip and threatening guests. I did not feel safe here because of the staff. I was separated from my friends and was stranded in the area for hours. Disgusting.
Sat down took a long time to get served . Then the drinks were not good at all . Mine was watered down and then my wifes was way to stong on the mango department. The cheese fries use nacho cheese 👎. Then we waited to pay the bill . And go finally had to go to the bar then waited some more . We explained our experience and was told the manager made it her self . (As like that makes it ok ) and we still was charged full price. Also talked to 2 others while in there having the same issues.
You pay a cover charge to get in. If you want to sit at at a table or sit period you pay extra. Rip off. Drinks are $$$$. Not much booze in the drinks. The bands that play there can be heard at other places on Ocean Drive, usually for no cover.I see several one star reviews, selling chairs and tables after paying a cover charge is a RIP OFF. Also many of my Harolds friends wont go to the Galleon because of your way of doing business.
This is the only 18 and up place in the surrounding area of north Myrtle beach. We stayed on the south side of Myrtle and drove 30 mins cause this was the “must” on your trip at Myrtle. Only to find out that at around 11 pm it wasn’t even open and I have no idea when they planned on opening. There was no way to find this out either. Poor planning and poor establishment. Will never try to go there again. If I could give it a 0/5 I would!!!
Some of the rudest staff I have ever met in my life. I asked for a shot and one lady who works there said to me “are you ******* kidding me? I better be getting a tip for this” Overpriced and extremely rude
If youre looking for a quiet, family-friendly experience, look no further! Spanish Galleon, or Spoads as its affectionately called because of its sparkling cleanliness, features live entertainment contained in the four cages in the corners of the room as well as an all you can eat buffet. The only problem is the long walk - two of my friends injured themselves on the walk over. 5 out of 7 stars!
A few friends and I wanted to go out to dance. I checked the Spanish Galleons website and Facebook pages and saw nothing about it being closed, only hours of operation and how great a club it was. We drove over about 9pm, and it was closed. Next time were in MB, we will look elsewhere.
Asked politely for a vodka water in a styrofoam cup and was charged $8, styrofoam cup is $2.50 extra. Why? I have to press a certain button on the register Ha, just leave that part off. No 👎
I do not like having to pay for a table/seat in a place of business, that’s definitely price gouging
I could not believe that the establishment sold tables, and the night that the Embers played, they Sold chirs, and put the chairs in frount of the Band Stage, EMBERS FAN SINCE 1967, THE EMBERS AS ALLWAS ON THEIR A GAME, THANK U EMBERS.
Club was good waitress services are piss poor only one and she acts like she is on something no service at all. We had to pay to reserve tables then no service not happy at all.
Very family oriented and my kids loved playing in the bird cages. Also, my $200 tab wasnt that bad
Its been a few years, but had a great time. Local radio was broadcasting, great atmosphere. Even got to see Johnny Fn D.
A great band venue when they dont fill the dance floor with reserved seating .
No experience BUT after reading the reviews of the place won’t waste my $$$. Thanks people!!!
Well I took my Mom to see general Johnson and the chairmen of the board and those boys know what is up I say I say
Nitelife in NMB on the Horseshoe at the Spanish Galleon is worth a look. Convenient to Main St.
Had a GREAT show band.
Did not go there
Good club for dancing, but it gets crowded.
Great venue for the Beach Band concerts.
