Avant Salon & Day Spa

I recently got my hair done at Avant Salon. The hairstylist, Tiffani , did an incredible job. She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me a cute haircut that was just above my shoulders. She also did a beautiful dark color all around, which really made my hair pop. I was so impressed with her attention to detail and the final result. I highly recommend going to Avant Salon and asking for Tiffani. You wont be disappointed! 😊👍

Very disappointed. I got called a few days before the appointment the we had to switch stylist because the original one didn’t do formal styles but this one is amazing. My daughter went in for a formal style for prom. The stylist didn’t talk to her. Another stylist came over and helped show how to do the braid. The original stylist took it out after she walked away, telling my daughter she wouldn’t like it. She didn’t even ask my daughter if SHE wanted it. My daughter got half of a braid that was falling out before we even left. The stylist told her she didn’t have time to fix it. My daughter didn’t even get to see it before she was sent up front. The stylist didn’t even walk her up. $80 later and we went home and redid it. No curls stayed, very little product to help. Very disappointed in at minimum the lack of customer service but also the quality of work.ETA: The salon owner did reach out and apologize for the situation. She offered to refund my money. I think stylist need to realize how fragile these young egos could be. A little time and attention, even if she couldn’t execute the style could have changed the situation.

I had a gift certificate for Avant and used it to get my nails polished and long hair trimmed. Staff is very friendly and I look forward to using them again in the future. I did have an issue with the nail polish; Im not sure what happened, but was able to come in the next day and get 2 nails repaired. Staff was very accommodating and apologetic. I would recommend Avant based on their friendly customer service.Update 2 days later: Polish fell off 3 more nails (where and when? I have no clue). This has never happened to me before at other nail salons. I was able to patch the missing polish with a similar color of polish at home. Im afraid I cant recommend having nails done there based upon my experience. I also noticed on the HHS website that the salons state license expired Sept 2023. Thats a concern. Ilana has cut my hair a couple times and I certainly am glad I went back to her. She does an excellent job and provides a great smile and is a delight to have. Everyone there is very kind and they all are very professional. Highly recommend !

I came back to Avant in May after my stylist used a bad toner on my hair. Ilana showed me that my hair was actually only half dyed (on the top and bottom) and started the color process correction. She has been amazing and I cannot say enough amazing things about her! She recommended the Botanical Repair line on my first visit, and I have been using the entire line, from the shampoo/conditioner, to the masque and leave in. My hair went from feeling like straw to feeling soft again! My other stylist had just said to take hair vitamins. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Thank you making me love my hair again, Ilana!!!

What a fantastic experience! Had a 1-hour facial done by Nicolle, and wow! She explained every step so I knew what to expect. Answered any questions and had excellent suggestions. I’ve had enough facials done in past to count on one hand…and this was the best by far! Very relaxing, felt very special and pampered. The massage she does on my neck and shoulders, as well as my arms and hands was a nice touch. Worth every penny! Highly recommend and I even prebooked my next one in 6-weeks.

I had Veronica cut and style my hair and I couldn’t be more pleased. She is very attentive , knowledgable, and professional. She listened to what I was saying, asked questions and then gave me the exact cut and style I’d hoped for. She is friendly, fun, & bubbly which made my visit to the salon a great experience! I highly recommend Veronica to anyone looking for a new stylist. .

The stylist Olivia is amazing! I go in knowing a general idea of what I want but I’m never certain of exactly what I want. She takes her time to guide me through the different color options and how they would each look in the end which I appreciate so much as hair is not something to rush in my opinion. I always trust her judgement on what colors/shades will look great and every single time it turns out perfect! I couldn’t recommend her enough!

Nikki is the BEST!!! Got my first lash lift and tint with her and am obsessed with the results. Its been 3 weeks and I havent needed mascara or false lashes since. She makes your experience super comfortable and relaxing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Absolutely loved my experience with Veronica. She cut my hair exactly how I wanted, and even taught me the how to on styling it. As an added bonus- the salon smelled amazing and they use Aveda products.

Great salon - great customer service. I called and got in quickly. Tiffani did a super job with a cut and color. She asked a lot of questions to make sure to get the right color and highlights. It is so pretty! Love the Aveda products too.

3 months later2nd review update:My hair color 😍 still looking great. I had many compliments and about how natural it looks. I used Avant hair products to fight the brass and not only do I still have products in my bath since a little goes a long way but it sure help me fighting the yellow/ brass tones brunettes have to fight after lighting up their hair tone. I will keep my hair color the only thing I will probably do now is get a good conditioner treatment and a refreshing type of product.1st review Dec 2018:My natural hair is dark and I decided to get in a journey of getting it Ash blond. In the middle of the journey my regular hairdresser moved and I was lucky to call ava Salon to fix it me. I love the end product. I have gotten lots of compliments. I like that I dont have brassy look. They were professional to the dot from the phone to the time I was out the door. I will come back when I come into Omaha from now on to keep up with a healthy looking hair....thank you

Went to Veronica who is experienced which I needed because I’m one of those people that think I can cut my own hair. And usually I can but this time I went a little nuts. Stopped midstream of chopping, made an appointment and Veronica was able to make my hair go from EGAD to, “OK I can live with this”. I promised her I would return every four months so asnot to have her deal with such a mess.She was funny, easy to talk to and thank goodness not judgey! 😆.

They are the best for customer service… friendly,Helpful, I get my hair and massages here. Been coming for 5 years.I highly recommend Toni and Roland. The receptionist is awesome and most helpful.

Tiffani was absolutely AMAZING and listened to what I wanted. She did a rusty/copper balayage on my dark hair and I’m IN LOVE! Everyone that sees my hair is obsessed ♥️

Had my hair trimmed with a senior stylist, thinking they would know what they are doing. Was in there for about 15-20 minutes. She didn’t even style my hair nor did she even bother to ask me how I would like it styled after the cut. When I called to make an appointment I was told I would get my hair washed, cut, and styled. She seemed to be in a rush.

Great salon. Love the full service ability. I had my first hair appointment recently. My stylist was super helpful when it came to making the decisions on my style. Eyebrow waxing is available and they do a great job. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I look forward to my next visit.

I received a facial there today as I received it for a gift. The esthetician was super nice but the facial itself was average. She left the cold wet rag on my face for a while as she washed out the dirty dishes. I was trying to relax but it was hard to do so with the sink going and her spraying cleaner. I wish she would have cleaned up after I left, not during the facial. I would recommend an actual spa if you’re looking for a good facial.

I got a 30 min facial here and my skin felt so smooth after. Liv was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable as it was my first time at the salon. I would recommend!

My pedicure was very average. I was hoping for a more relaxing experience and better callous removing with a one hour booking.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I can highly recommend massage therapy by Roland! He has a very natural talent for being able to feel what a body needs for relief and renewal.

First time here. Brooke did a wonderful 1 hour facial and gave me some great tips on my skin. The aromatherapy and music relaxing, the room dark and comfortable. Brooke was very attentive to my needs and my comfort.Then, Abby did a 1 hour massage. My shoulders and neck have been bothering me a lot so she really focused on working on those muscles. The pressure was just perfect. I can honestly say I think this is the best massage Ive ever had, and Ive had many! I cannot find anything to complain about today!

I called Avant because I have had difficulty finding a qualified stylist for years. The receptionist listened to my story and scheduled me with Kim, the salon owner. Kim knows that the consultation is the most important part of the appointment. Kim listened to me and the final product shows!! Kim exceeded my expectations and and I have been getting non-stop compliments since I had my hair done 5 days ago. She did amazing work and I have now found my new hair care professional!

All the artists I met so far were nice, pleasant and talented! I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Kim, who did an amazing job on my highlights, I was truly impressed. I live close to down town and I have many options in terms of getting my hair done, but I almost always chose to drive all the way to west Omaha to receive services from these guys...theyre all amazing!

Getting my hair done at Avant Salon is my favorite thing to do! I love the atmosphere in the salon, the staff, and the location. Kim does a fabulous job on my hair, and I always receive compliments from others after Ive had it done. I feel like I get a full spa experience every time Im there!

I go here for my wax services. They are always able to get me in when I need and the salon is always clean. I recently went for my wax service and this day I had my 19 year old nephew with me. I asked literally as I was checking in if he could get a hair cut too. Since the poor college student was looking a bit... . well like a poor college student. They were able to get him in at the same time as me and he came out looking FRESH! I will not go anywhere else.

Roland is an exceptionally skilled and intuitive massage therapist. No massage is the same as he listens to you and your body during treatment. Highly recommend!

Ive been going to Avant for several years. Great cuts, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Kim always goes the extra mile to please her clients besides giving great cuts! If anyone did have a problem at Avant, they would only need to express their concerns and they would be quick to correct it. They have great sales and Avant gives back to the community and is very environmentally conscious. Love this place!

Stopped in without an appointment to get my daughters eyebrows waxed. The salon got us right in and Jenna did a beautiful job. Competitive pricing, clean, smells wonderful due to the aromatherapy.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. My hair stylist was nice but I believe she left the hair dye and lightener in far too long (2-2.5 hours) My hair is completely fried and breaks constantly now. This has never happened to me before in all the years Ive been dying my hair. Im very disappointed especially considering how much it cost.

All of the staff was friendly and professional. Abby provided a relaxing massage while relieving the tension that I had in my neck and shoulders. This was the best massage Ive had! Thank you for a wonderful experience. I will be back soon!!!

I was treated like royalty with the oil scalp massage, shampooing, haircut, and rinse. I really like the way Jenna did my hair and how she handled the whole process. Excellent job!!

So, so happy to find this salon in Omaha. I love everything about Aveda and am so glad to find a salon that carries all Aveda products.And, especially happy to find McCallister Maurer! She gets my cut and color right every time. She listens to my long list of wishes and then combines her expertise to create something that works. She is a strong listener and very skilled at what she does. Love that she cares about her clients. I would recommend McCallister to everyone!

First time here for a brow/bikini wax and Crysta was so sweet and welcoming! I was comfortable immediately and she did a great job! Would definitely recommend.

Krystal is amazing! The salon is always clean and the staff is super friendly. Lots of quality products to choose from. They now have mani pedis in a separate area & it gorgeous!

Tried scheduling a bachelorette party for 4 on a sunday and had no luck with other places. Called Avant and they were super accomending and flexible. Very easy to work with and customer service focused.

Love Im not in the chair for hours at a time. Bri is very quick, but my hair always comes out on point.

Got a mani, pedi & facial. They were all so relaxing! It didnt take as long as I thought, so I had more time to do other things.
