I really appreciate the work they did with the remodel. Come here a few times a year to see grupos, my only real complaint is that the people who don’t opt to pay for a table will stand around the dance floor or block the bar which can get crowded and a little slippery when the people dancing spill drinks (it happens).

Loved the ambience, music, food and beverages.... Unfortunately the day we visited, it was a chilly and windy day but they accommodated all our needs. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

WE WENT ON A SAT. EVENING AROUND 6PM AND WERE SEATED RIGHT AWAY, WHICH WAS AWESOME. SERVICE WAS FRIENDLY AND INFORMATIVE. WE HAD NEVER BEEN THERE BEFORE AND WE WERE FLOORED BY THE DELICIOUS FOOD. WE GOT THE RUBYS PLATTER AND PREPARED OYSTERS. BOTH WERE DELICIOUS AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. MY KIDS SHARED NACHOS (NOTHING SPECIAL) BUT LEFT THEIR NACHOS TO EAT FROM OUR PLATTER. IT CAN EASILY FEED 4-5 ADULTS WHO CAN EAT (MY HUBBY IS AN EATER) LOL WE ALSO GOT A FEW DRINKS. WE GOT THE CANTARITO WHICH IS SERVED IN A HUGE CANTARO BUT THEY SERVE THE TEQUILA ON THE SIDE (3 SHOTS) SO YOU CAN ADD AS MUCH OR AS LITTLE AS YOU WANT. WE ALSO GOT A CHAMOY MANGO MARGARITY (LARGE) BLENDED AND IT WAS AMAZING!!! ARE THIRD DRINK WASNT AS GOOD, A CUCUMBER MARGARITA ON THE ROCKS, IT WAS WAYYY TOO STRONG AND THE TASTE WAS OFF. BUT OVERALL, OUR EXPERIENCE THERE WAS GREAT AND WE WOULD FOR SURE DRIVE THE 2 HOURS IT TOOK US TO GET THERE....WE LIVE FAR BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT. OH AND ON FRIDAY-SUNDAY THEY HAVE LIVE MUSIC OUT IN THEIR PATIO SO THAT WAS ALSO COOL. AT 10 THEIR NIGHTCLUB OPENS FOR ALL YOU DANCERS . MAKE NOTE...IT IS PRICEY BUT IT IS WORTH IT!

The food was so delicious. The customer service was amazing. Very attentive servers and beyond nice. Totally recommend eating here if you are ever in Oxnard.

Went to see one of my favorite singers El Yaki everything was good, i only give it 4 stars due to the size of the club its a little too small you can hardly dance.

Me and my friend were charged 50$ each for entry. I dont know if that is normal or they just did that to us because we are black. But we danced and didnt bother anyone and had the best time that we could considering the band was way to loud and it wasnt our type of scene. The beer cost 8$. The mixed drinks are 17$. They take your vape before you go in and dont give it back. The bar is constantly crowded because thats where everyone stands because they are too afraid to dance. All the tables are reserved and stay empty all night. There were almost more security than customers. Not one of them Friendly. They all stand around with this weird narcissistic look all night as if they are the main entertainment. The old man in the bathroom is nice. The age group in the club was very diverse, young adults and older adults dancing.

Wow what a tremendous place! We saw this advertised on trendy eats video online and I’ve been dying to try it ever since. We finally made the trip out there and it was so freaking worth it. Julian ceviche platter was to die for. We will absolutely be back. The platter taste amazing the drinks were incredible and the staff were on point. Thank you so so much.

Heard about this place on trendi eats and omg this place is amazing! The food was so delicious! The service was great 👍 I love that it’s indoor and outdoor seating. Overall I definitely recommend this place and me and my family will definitely be back! All the staff was great but Yuliana stood out she is so nice and made us feel very welcomed! she deserves a raise:) great place you won’t be disappointed.!:)

First!! Parking was a problem, I was worried about my vehicle in this location. Couldnt find parking people hanging around the bus depot were really shady. Second!! The restrooms were atrocious. That was just in the meantime of being seated. The waiter was very nice but very forgetful. He seemed to be more working where he can get the best tips. We ordered two Micheladas one water and the one coke and he forgot one michelada. We received our meal and it looked excellent although I wouldnt recommend ordering the guacamole because its not worth it for $8. The chips were stail and the salsa was water. Kudos to the chef, the nachos were excellent the ceviche camaron was excellent and the camaron mango habanero was good only because the shrimp was not deveined. If Im going to pay $18 a plate I would like the shrimp deveined. Then the check came the receipt showed the bill for the meal you werent allowed to Total the bill if you were giving a credit card so I ended up paying in cash. I drove from the Bakersfield area to visit this place, I wont be visiting this place again. Although many patrons of this establishment seemed to be having a great time. I did not think it was all that great

1$ tacos between 5&7pm. Omg best fish tacos Ive had in awhile. 2×1 drink speacial to go with it..service was awesome ..was there for my sisters bday.. they didnt disappoint.. THANK YOU Rubys Cafe.. I will be back.. Yum!!

We wanted to try a few places down in Oxnard, and this was one of them. Were already stuffed from a taco place we had stopped earlier, so we started with drinks at Rubys place, and later on my hubby ordered the alguachile verde n rojo. Both were good, but we loveed the green one. Live music in the patio, drinks were good, I had a chamango, and a cantarito that i accidentally spilled all over 😒😔😣 before I could taste it. Our waiter was very nice, and attentive eventhogh he was supper busy. They replace my drink that I spill, which i really appreciate. Hoping to visit in Dec, and looking to stop by to enjoy the great music and delicious alguachiles!!From one of the other reviewers complaining place is next to a bus station and bums walking literally next to their table and felt like they couldve snatched their personal belongings: Let me update you, the patio has like a decorative fence so nobody is esposed to the walkway anymore. We felt safe, even when walking to our car.

Got there 30 mins before closing and they charged our group $15 each!!!! So incredible! I could of stayed in Santa Barbara night clubs amd not even pay entrance!!! This place is ridiculous, plus we consumed beverages.Definitely not coming back.

I go to Ruby’s almost every other weekend. They have the most amazing employees! They are always polite, caring and hardworking. The food is always outstanding, my personal favorite is the quesabirria tacos! If you’re looking for amazing food, drinks, and people, you have to try Ruby’s cafe in Oxnard!

Nice place to watch a live music concert.It is Intimate in size, and only plays Mexican musical acts.They serve small, appetizer type plates. They serve buckets of beer and full bar. Security present. Acoustics are good.Big Mexican names come here!I went late in February, and prior to this, was went it was more or a restaurant that turned into a nite club.Now, its more defined as a musical venue

Good place to listen to Spanish music. Drinks are ok and prices are fair for a night club / Bar. Just dont over drink so you can get kicked out by security, strict rules about sleeping, hats, or just causing problems. Overall not a bad place.

I went to have a good time and honestly everything sucked about it the beer wasnt cold.It smelled like armpit as soon as you walk in.And the music did kinda sucked.

I was waiting since 6pm and every 30 minutes one of the girls comes out to let us know its a 2 hour wait and pretty much insinuating to leave. Theres a lot I mean most of their tables filled with people and no food on their tables. People are literally getting up to complain about their time waiting

A very bad experience,Its the first time I visit this place,They have told me a lot about this place,The atmosphere was good,But after what happened to me with security,The truth,,I doubt I will come back here,I was checking the other comments,And it seems,Im not the only one who has had that bad experience in this place,One enters an establishment as a customer for the first time,The least you want is problems,So,You try to be respectful and kind to all people,Seducing their way,And its something that security people dont understand,And also,They do not accept their mistake,They get upset when you tell them where they are wrong,Plus, afterwards theyre just with that intimidating, rasial look on their faces,And as the comments say, one understands that it is their job,But in the end,You feel more threatened by security than by other people,Very bad in that aspect,The truth,They should improve that in the security personnel,And another thing,That the place is full of smoke,I understand that it is a nightclub,But I feel like its too much smoke,Well I just wanted to put my comment,,Because the truth,I doubt they will do anything about it.

The spaces between the table are very small for a place where people drink a lot and end up tripping over the table all the time and throwing away their drinks.

Nice place, the bad thing is that a Salvadoran doesnt know what to do in a place where there are only Mexicans 🥺I wanted to dance and I couldnt because the Mexican step is different from the Salvadoran step 🥺🥺😔

🤬Be careful when claiming what you pay, on July 1, 2023 they had an event in which the coyote and 2 other groups were marked. The event began at 9 at night but they decided to start until 10:30 and They needed a group, people were obviously dissatisfied, but they never clarified or showed their faces! The next day I sent a message to their Instagram page asking what had happened and I looked at the comments on their posts that there were people who arrived at 9 and they complained to them and they kicked them out. They blocked me on Instagram for asking what had happened to them. the other group and say that they were irresponsible for not showing their face, be careful, they are scammers!Responding to your answer, at the same moment they were canceled they should have gone on stage and said it but they didnt and it is for 2 reasons either what you say is a lie or they dont care about what people paid, another is the only thing they do when People complain is just giving excuses and justifying themselves or they block people, they dont have a minimum of humility to accept their mistakes and in their response you can see, many people who came out were angry about the same thing and you can see that you didnt care, but As the saying goes, a happy person recommends you with 5, but make that person look bad and behave arrogantly and he or she will burn you with 15. I went to a concert dance, the security is very unfriendly, I understand that it is their job. But they almost threw people away...... very little kindness on their part...... we all pay for tickets and want to feel comfortable..... very nice place, good dancing. Security guys suck....IF YOU READ THE COMMENTS, SEVERAL PEOPLE THINK THE SAME ABOUT SECURITY. ESPECIALLY THE LORD WHO RESIVES PEOPLE AND A BROWN LADY

I liked the place, the only thing missing is more places to sit, or I dont know if because it was the first time I went, it was always full and there were a lot of people without chairs and sometimes they get in the way of dancing.
