This is the most phenomenal massage I have ever received. I live in Washington DC and I am now making this the ONLY place I come to receive massages. The environment is warm welcoming aesthetically pleasing and the staff is astounding. If you are in the Philly Area visit Healing Spa it will transform your life.

Excellent massage by Jack ! I came in with a massive stiffness in my neck, that instantly went away after the massage. I didn’t point out any of these pains, but he was so knowledgeable that he instantly felt the knots and stiffness. Recommend Jack and May both is very good. Will be returning soon..!!

Let me start by saying that upon arrival, they asked me to wait 25 minutes even though I had booked in advance for that given time + the masseuse left halfway and another one continued.With all of this happening I still give them 5 stars +++ because it was so worth it. They were both wonderfully kind, professional and listened to the pains of my body without me having to specify where I feel pain or tension.My simple 60 minutes massage felt like 90 minutes spa retreat. Very grateful for this experience.

The BEST Chinese medical massage place in Philly! They are new opened in April 2023, the environment is warm and relax. Every massage therapist here is very professional and very nice! Eva, Sherry, May, Jack, and the whole team are the best! Eva has cured so many pains on my body by weekly message in only 2 months. Considering the return, their price is very fair. Healing Spa was a spectacular experience. You’re welcomed by calm music overhead and the sound of running water.Sherry worked wonders on my back, almost fell right asleep when it was over. Eva is a miracle worker! This was my first time visiting the spa and I already cant wait to come back. This was one of the BEST and legitimately most therapeutic massages Ive ever received. Everything was super clean and smelled good. The massage room was warm and the table was very comfy. Eva took great time and care to not only listen to where I was having pain (trapezius), but also made recommendations and suggestions about different treatment options. She was super kind and caring. I left feeling tons of relief and each day since my massage, Ive felt better and better. 10/10, would highly recommend!

I was just visiting the area and decided to walk in after seeing all the good reviews. I was seen almost immediately and had an absolutely amazing experience. All the knots in my back were diligently worked out and she even helped crack my back at the end. Foot massage was also super relaxing. Would definitely visit again if Im ever in the area again

If you look for authentic Chinese massage, this is the place to go. The place is clean and staff are very friendly. I got an one-hour deep tissue for my upper back pain and shoulder stiffness. Upon the masseur’s recommendation, I got cupping too. The cupping spots turned dark purple/red, indicating cold/wet Qi in my body. I felt the difference right away afterwards, in a very good way. Highly recommended.

I have had one of the best massage today from Shirley. I stated with 2 hours body and foot. It was so good that I extended for another hour to total of 3 hours. If you enjoy deep tissue massage, you’ve got to ask for Shirley.

The service is really good, every technicians technique is particularly professional, and every acupoint massaged is particularly accurate and in place, making it easy to press. The body and mind are comfortable, the environment is particularly good, and there are free snacks, mineral water, and tea. Technicians never proactively request additional projects

I love this place! The massage therapists are very professional, skilled, and nice. I feel so much relief from my massage. I have pretty bad back pain, knots, and spasms but I feel significantly better after. They are trained to know the right acupressure points and are really knowledgeable about the body. The therapists know a variety of treatments including acupuncture and cervical decompression. The place is also super clean and relaxing. The price is pretty great as well. Please do yourself a favor and check it out!

The massage and cupping are really good. They can go as firm or as gentle as you want. My wife and I had every massage person in there and they were all great except one (male who is not the owner). Not easy to find an Asian massage place with no funny busy🤫😉, clean, and great prices

They give you clean slippers when you arrive :)I’ve been going to May for awhile now who has been my life saver in giving me the best massage that’s actually helping remove tension from my body. It honestly feels like getting a massage and chiropractor all at once. If you love deep tissue she might be the girl to get the job done.She’s was originally at Pain Away Philly and has moved to a new location. I always feel like after an hour long massage that my body feels renewed. They have so many Chinese herbal treatments from moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, etc.Best part is they even give you candy and tea on your way out. Also check out the market next door and treat yourself to Asian snacks to take home :)

By far the best massage place in the Philly region. I try to come as often as I can for therapeutic massages that have helped me heal from injuries and get rejuvenated. Highly recommend this spa. We are travelling and chose this spa based on the reviews. My husband had a full massage and I had a foot massage with reflexology. We both rated our experience as 5 stars. This is a highly professional, spotlessly clean and well organised Spa. We walked in without an appointment and were seen within 5 minutes. My foot massage commenced with a fabulous and unexpected neck and shoulder massage. I have plantar fasciitis and was in a lot of pain. I have never had a foot massage like this one - every muscle, tendon and joint from my knees down was massaged and I left without pain. My husband reported that his massage was very high quality and he felt blissed out! We have had many massages and agreed that both of ours were outstanding.

I scheduled a 2 hour massage followed by cupping and a 60 minute foot reflexology. The first person to massage me was really good. I told her I had a headache and she really worked on my neck and shoulders. Then all of a sudden there was a switch in people working on me without any explanation. The new person never went back to my neck and shoulders. She then told me they were too busy to do my 60 minute reflexology appointment even though I scheduled online hours previously. When she turned me over to my back she never massaged my head, neck, shoulders or face to help my headache. After my massage the second girl did my cupping for the first half. When it was time to take them off a third person came in and was talking on the phone the whole time. Never acknowledged me. This was my Mother’s Day present and I was looking forward to the whole appointment I had reserved.

Top tier massage with affordable prices. I did a 60 minute deep tissue massage and it is one of the best ones ive had to date. All the spas in philly are so pricey. A quality massage, with great customer service, in a clean space for under $100, unheard of. 10/10 recommend

Wow!!! I’ve had many different types of massages- Thai, neuromuscular, Swedish, deep tissue, a Chinese medical massage is not for the weak. I am extremely tight- I sleep on my side and I work in dental. Eva, my amazing extremely skilled massage therapist, really got out all my tension and knots. I told her do as much pressure as you need. She is strong! I feel amazing afterwards. During the pain hurts so good! I love a deep firm pressure massage. Bonus complimentary hot stones and tea at the end. I love it here! I will 100% be back.

MUST GO TO PLACE!!! I need a full body therapeutic massage almost once a month, and every time I go, I can get full body relaxation and pain relief. I have tried body massage, back stepping, moxibustion and cupping. Their approach to each project are very professional and therapeutic. Healing Spa is arguably the best therapeutic massage store in the Chinatown area. Ive been to other stores as well, nothing works. Not strong enough, it feels like a body tickle rather than a deep acupressure. This store is the best! ! I personally strongly recommend Eva, her back stepping technique is the best! She cares about her clients and finds out whats wrong with you during the massage and teaches you how to adjust with diet or daily maintenance.

This place is INCREDIBLE! I used to go to another spot nearby, but when they had a recent (huge) turnover in staff, I was worried … but it turns out a lot of my favorite staff moved over to Healing Spa! This place is much cleaner and way more beautiful than a lot of the other places in the area. It’s brand new, they do all of the usual Chinatown stuff - massage, acupuncture, cupping, Gua sha, moxibustion, etc. The owner Jack gives the best massage I’ve ever had in my life (and I’ve had a lot!) They also have a sauna and a neck-stretching machine which I haven’t tried yet. After two pregnancies and chasing toddlers around all day my back is constantly aching, but after an hour at the Healing Spa I’m always walking on clouds. I never even have to tell them what hurts, they just know! If you’re a fan of a great, strong, no-nonsense massage that actually gets rid of your pain, this is the spot.

This is a very authentic Chinese style SPA with nice staff and clean environment. Overall great services and reasonable pricing. I would say it’s definitely N.1 Spa place in Philly area. May and Eva are super professional and friendly. Already recommended to my friends :)

I had a lot of stiffness in my neck and lower back. It really limited my motion. I went in and was greeted quickly and Amy worked out every knot I had. Afterwards, Jack did Moxibustion on me for 20 mins. The cherry on top was he finished by cracking my neck and whole back. When I finally got up, I felt much better. I regained a lot of motion on my neck and my lower back was not as stiff. It was amazing. I highly recommend this spa. I will definitely be coming back.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience in this Healing SPA. Before getting the massage, my thighs would ache every night from old cycling exercise injuries. After the massage, my pain miraculously vanished, and Ive never felt so relieved. The massage was like magic from traditional Chinese medicine, making my pain disappear. Additionally, the massage therapists here are super friendly, taking the time to explain the source of your aches and offering advice on how to improve. I’ve been coming here with my grandma for acupuncture to treat her muscle pain once a week. Her pain that has lasted a few years, has improved tremendously and is on the way to be gone permanently! I have been seeing May for years, at the former spa where she was a masseuse. I was SO thrilled to hear that she and her equally-talented partner, Jack, opened The Healing Spa. The space is absolutely perfect. It is so clean and bright, with all new equipment and excellent features to the space. There are much more comfortable massage tables, private rooms with walls, rather than the curtain separating you from a stranger, and an extensive service list. Hospitality gets an A+, with tea and candy for guests, as well as the warm reception of the owners. Prices are very fair, and I found parking nearby to be easy, with 2 and 3 hour spots available. I still see May myself, so I have yet to meet their new therapists, but I feel confident that any staff they hired will be top quality, as their experience and expertise is unmatched. Make your visit right away, you wont regret it!

I don’t review places often, but I’m so proud of Jack and all that he’s accomplished with opening his own spa. I used to go to another location he worked at after I broke my ankle, and he did wonders for me. However, I stopped going to that place after a year due to unprofessional confrontations with the owner (very disorganized, liked to price gouge, and never admitted fault). Everything I disliked about the other place I don’t experience here. To get serious bodywork done, you have to trust your healer. Jack has earned my trust time and time again and I’m so glad to be working with him again!

Their facility also have sauna options and bathrooms equipped with shower.The staff here are super friendly and welcoming, some have over 20+ years of experience. The massage here are strong with healing effects… there’s no room for Swedish massage here!

This is an amazing massage spa with professionals. They are trained in traditional Chinese medicine. Jacks moxibustion is as good as you can get in the US. They are not only professionals but also extremely kind and attentive. I love this place.

10/10. I have neck and shoulder pains for a long time and constantly need to do deep tissue massages to feel better. This is honestly the best experience I had in terms of how much relaxation I felt after the one hour message. I have tried probably around 10 different message places in Northen VA and DC but there isnt a place I decided to go back more than twice, this will definitely be a place that I want to go back as a regular - only hope that I live in Philly.

If you are looking for a top of the line place to seek rest & relief, healing spa of philly has been a haven for me. i have benefited from tui na in many cities, but it is my belief that you can find no kinder and more capable people in this industry than at this spa. this is an institution of truly skilled and gifted practitioners of medicine. all of the therapists have been trained and been practicing for many years and i honestly think they are overqualified to be keeping their prices as low and accessible as compared to many other spas. in my opinion, other places just cannot compare in therapeutic value & care.i found out about this still very new spot from the owner, jack, from my uncle who has been seeing him for nearly 15 years for consistent relief from pain and stress. jack is very soft spoken and humble, but if you know him you know he has been preparing to open this place for forever and does everything to ensure the quality and integrity of his work. i also got to know my go-to therapist and jack’s partner mei from a previous spa that was poorly treating and underpaying their employees. the facilities here are truly more modern, comfortable, and clean than any other spa i have been to in the chinatown area.if you have any second thoughts - let me cue you into how compassionate these people are. there was a point in the past months when i went to get a massage while unknowingly i had food poisoning. at one point (& i am not proud of this) i projectile vomited three different times including directly on the massage table and sheets. anyone would be horrified, so insisting that i pay them double and help clean up to compensate this horrendous situation i put them in, they literally refused to take the help. mei then even gave me moxibustion and jack gave me acupuncture and a personal bottle of herbal medicine which he ran and got from his car for no fee.i am sorry to gross anyone out and know the place is still spick and span as ever. my point is this: this business is not made of masseuses alone, but true healers and pillars of the community. they are interested in being of service to others above money or notoriety. their knowledge of conventional anatomy as well as traditional chinese medicines allows them to use many modalities, great especially for people looking for healing beyond or in tandem with western medicine. while small in stature, everyone is mighty (also recommend eva and shirley). the therapists will get out every knot and even use chiropractic adjustment to crack places in your back and neck that you didn’t even know were possible. shoutout to mei who can even crack your back very precisely with her feet!!!thank you healing spa for improving and enriching my quality of life. you are the best!

Wow, the rave reviews are well earned. We walked in without an appointment and got in right away to a couples room. We each got one of the best massages weve ever had, which required surprisingly little communication -- they just narrowed in on what we each needed and worked our bodies to blissful, energized mush. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem.
