I love Salon D’Shayn! I’ve been going to their stylists for 8 years but I’m currently seeing Vanessa and she is the most wonderful human. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a shag (that’s what I get) or if you just need someone who’s incredibly kind and easy to work with. I’ve also worked with Lydia who’s done lovely color work on my hair and is so fun to chat with. Overall the spot is just a vibe. Everyone is lovely and talented.

I cant say enough good things about this place. You walk in to see the sweetest smiles. Are constantly offered coffee, waters or snacks. Have an amazing service done. And leave feeling (and being told youre🤪) beautiful! I cant think of one thing I would want to change. So thankful I found it!

I have been going to Lydia for the past 5 years and she has completely transformed my hair. I have very long, thick, and wavy hair that can be a lot to take on. Lydia just gets it and has really helped me find a style and look that makes me feel the most beautiful and confident I have ever felt. Because I have so much hair my appointments take awhile but she always takes her time with me and also educates me on products and styling since I am lazy when it comes to actually doing my hair. Its really rare to find someone who is so invested in making you look and feel incredible and Lydia is that kind of person. I had the highest quality experience at Salon DShayn for my bridal hair and makeup! Communication was on point from the start. The professionalism and care was apparent from the owner who helped me book an appointment right away with Lydia. Let me tell you, shes a makeup artist/ hair stylist extraordinaire! Lydia listened to my requests and made me look straight out of a magazine. I received so many compliments from my guests. It was the perfect vision and vibe I was going for on my special day!

D’Lisa is amazing!I have been coming to her salon for 12 years now, through various locations (when she had the Scottsdale one too) and would not go anywhere else for my waxing and skin care needs.Actually I have never even thought about having a Brazilian wax if it wasn’t for D’Lisa skills!She’s also very fun and personable and professional, and the salon is top notch in terms of appearance and cleanliness.

Nicole is the best massage therapist out there. She is always punctual, and very reliable. Her communication is excellent. I enjoy every visit I have with her. If you have not tried her yet, you really should.

I had almost given up on trying to find a hairstylist who could give me a perfect shag cut and help restore all my natural curl. I found Vanessa on Reddit and she is AMAZING. I have never loved my hair so much. I finally feel like myself again. I cannot recommend them enough!

Im not sure how I havent written a review yet.....I have been coming to Salon DShayn since 2014 or 2015 for eyebrow waxing. Im a millennial who fell victim to the tweezers in the early 2000s (stupid skinny eyebrow trend) and DLisa and I have been doing eyebrow therapy since day 1. I would trust her to wax any part of my body at this point. Just do the dang brazillian! I have also had haircuts by several of the folks at the salon but Nadine is my girl! Highly recommend this salon.

I am new to Phoenix and Salon DShayn is within walking distance. I lucked out as this is such a welcoming and professional space. Candis is an amazing Hair Artist and I felt well cared for for my hair color and cut. The salon is bright and cheery and friendly. Could not be happier with the results of my color! This is my second time meeting with Candis. Shes an absolutely joy. The hours just flew by. Shes took the time to consult me both times. She really cares about the quality of her work. She is thorough and detailed. I love going to the salon, its always a good vibe there. :)

I have been getting waxed by DLisa for over a year now. I love coming here. Previously, I have bad experiences at more chain type salons. I appreciate the quick & efficient service & the vibe. Def recommend.

I looked into the best salons near me online months prior to booking an appointment, and came across Salon D’Shayn. i saw that they offered “special event hair and makeup” and immediately booked a $175 service. 3 weeks later when it was time for me to get this done (after confirmation as well), I arrived at the establishment completely ecstatic for a seamless graduation. Upon arriving, the woman who came up to help me was very confused as to why I was there. I informed her that I had booked an appt 3 weeks ago. She then attempted to call Vicente (the person i booked with) to let him know I was there for a very important event appointment. He then proceeded to tell me that he had moved, and didn’t have enough time to give me the hair and makeup I was desiring due to his new placement and inaccuracy of current establishment.Long story short: I never got to experience the services that this place offers because they ruined my graduation day.

DShayns services are excellent. Every one is so professional and kind. The vibe and environment are welcoming, hospitable, and they really cater to the clients. I have received several haircuts and hair styling and recently a hair coloring job and everything has been A+++ quality.If you are looking for a grade A haircut, hairstyle and hair coloring, I fully recommend Tanya Lee. I went to get my hair colored for the first time, and she helped me pick the perfect color, was very kind and professional and did an outstanding job. I am so happy and so grateful for this place! It is a God-send of a beauty salon!

Salon DShayn boasts a fantastic location and a beautiful setting, filled with natural light and meticulously curated details. Here, I found two of my favorite specialists: Bao, a hair stylist who skillfully cuts my crazy, curly, fine hair, making it look the best it ever has, and Leticia, a nail specialist who has significantly improved the condition of my toenails and feet, which I was always self-conscious about. Now, I happily look forward to my appointments at Salon DShayn and leave feeling great every time. My rating? 10 stars!

I have been seeing Chanelle for my hair since I moved to AZ almost 9 years ago. I’ve followed her to every new salon, and Salon D’Shayn is by far my favorite that she’s worked at! The front desk staff are always cheerful and kind. Always offering me a cold beverage. The salon is clean and quiet with amazing products! I would definitely recommend Chanelle Stanforth and Salon D’Shayn to anyone looking for a new salon!

Ive been coming here for decades! DLisa is the best waxer Ive ever had and have recently been partaking in their aesthetician services as well with peels and plasma. I also get my hair done regularly by the fantastic Nadine. Very happy with the service of every professional Ive contacted there.Appointment booking is awesome, product selection is great, always greeted and treated with respect by everyone and you cant beat the location!

I should mention that I’m a stylist here. But I just love it. So many talented individuals make up the staff, and many have been with this salon since the beginning. As a former salon owner I can tell you, that is almost unheard of. And we have the cutest bathroom!

I wouldnt take a stray dog to be groomed at this over priced Great Clips! Terrible job for $300.00. They do not stand behind their work when they screw-up! (Channel & dLisa). Expect orange hair and a shabby cut and you may be happy with them.

I can’t praise my experience here enough. The salon is beautiful, the lighting is amazing, their selection of drinks are awesome, they have a great selection of products and most of all I left with best cut and style I’ve had since moving to Phoenix. I tried two other salons and was feeling pretty hopeless after my hair had been butchered twice. My stylist, Bret, really took the time to listen to my concerns and explained exactly what he was doing all throughout and periodically let me touch my hair to make sure it was to my liking. I didn’t think my hair could look this beautiful again so quickly; I thought I’d have to wait at least a few months for it to start looking okay again after it had been botched but Bret worked his magic and it looks fantastic! Side note, it’s also comforting as an LGBT Asian to see their support for marginalized groups in the stickers on their door. This is the best salon in Phoenix without a doubt!

This was my first time with a new stylist in about 6 years. I have long hair and am pretty nervous most of the time with new people cutting my hair. Candis was awesome! She did a GREAT job explaining what she would do before hand to make me comfortable and did a fantastic job coloring and cutting my VERY long hair! Candis is amazing! She has saved my hair from the unfortunate path it was once on due to some major damage. She had a plan, is executing it to perfection, and is fun to hang out with also! I’m so lucky to have stumbled upon her and my hair has never looked better.

I have been seeing Candis since I moved to Arizona, 6 years ago, and she has been the best. Even though the location is not that close to me, I chose to follow her as I love what she does with my hair, and is open to my wanting to try new things. She has cut my hair when it was pixie length, she now gets to play with my hair now that it is past my shoulders. For the past 6 years I have been brunette, and just the other day we did some fashion color in my hair (I now have purple, dark blue, and electric blue) and the result was simply amazing. Probably the best thing I appreciate about Candis is her willingness to show me how to style my hair, my one downfall for having been raised my a father, who knew nothing about hair outside of washing it. She has never spoken down to me for my shortcomings, and is always proactive in letting me know about a product that may help me in styling, be it a blow dryer or gel.Finally, the location of this salon is in such a great location, just by the Heard Museum and a load of restaurants and coffee shops. All of the employees are so welcoming and outgoing, you feel as if you are among a group of your close friends even though you just met. So glad to have Candis, and Salon DShayn, in my life!

Absolutely amazing! Went for a Brazilian and needed a last minute appointment. The owner was able to get me into a room right away and I was in and out in 20 minutes! Now only was she fast and efficient, she was so friendly! She explained everything to me even though I had had Brazilians before somewhere else. This was the most pain free (within reason) Brazilian I have ever had! Normally I tense up and hold my breath but I chatted through the entire thing and was shocked when she said I was all done! I will absolutely be back and scheduled my next appointment before I left just to make sure!

Excellent wax job thank you! Zero pain and did not miss a hair. Ive been to many salons for waxes and this felt like nothingness, no pain, so she uses really high quality wax. I booked my appt on Schedulicity, (same day appointment), which was super convenient since I was driving thru. Thank you so much! The salon is gorgeous and was not expecting it to be so large. P.s. My Chihuahua ended up having a pinched nerve in his neck! One of his vertebrates is out. Thank you for the vet recommendations, even tho it took 5 vet stops for an open appt success lol

Candis had been doing mine and my daughters hair for a while a few years ago and life got busy, it was hard for me to make the trip across town to see her. I have been trying to find a hair artist close to my house for a few years now, tried a few different places and been very disappointed. I finally decided to bite the bullet and schedule with Candis again! No regrets! Myself and my daughter always leave her chair with a “hair high” She is a pleasure and so creative and experienced! Completely worth the drive!! The salon was very clean and has a cool vibe as well!

DLisa the owner is incredible. My eye brows were a victim of the 90s over plucked brow trend (lol) and she has worked with me to give them new and most importantly natural life back to them! I highly recommend this salon for all services.

Love this Little Salon. Vanessa has been doing my Hair for 10 + years. I was referred to her by my long blonde lion mane hair friend. I first came in wanting a short edgy hair cut. I Indecisively showed her pixie cuts from my phone, using descriptions like artsy-bohemian, and I dont own a van. The results? Incredible is an under statement. This lady of the locks performs hair Miracles. She has also fixed my other friends hair when she decided blonde at midnight was a good idea.

I have naturally curly hair and have had my share of terrible haircuts. So, going to a new stylist is always a hit or miss proposition. Vanessa hit it out of the park! I think this is the best haircut I have ever had. My curls are perfect, the shape is exactly what I wanted and she gave me great tips on how to care for my curls without trying to sell me a bunch of new products. I have a new stylist!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Salon DShayn! I worked with Bret for my cut and color and he did an amazing job. I felt so comfortable as he throughly explained the realistic options to achieve the look I was going for and walked me through each step of the process. He gave me product tips and home care instructions to help keep my hair as healthy as possible in between visits. My hair looks beautiful and I cant wait to go back for my next visit!

Sarah is a phenomenal stylist!! I booked my first appointment with her yesterday for a color correction. She was able to achieve amazing results even when confronted with my over processed, grayish/blue hair that was a result of two previous failed color correction attempts. After having a bad highlighting experience with another local salon, I came to Salon DShayn to help correct the aftermath from the previous salon. Candice SAVED my hair! Candice took all the time needed during the consult to determine the right game plan to correct the bad hair color stripping and cover up from the other salon. I decided to go ahead and get my hair cut, and she NAILED the cut from a couple of photos that we reviewed together. Her demeanor was to make sure I was comfortable with all of the steps, and I never felt rushed. Night and day difference - I cant count how many compliments I have received on hair!I would recommend this salon and Candice to anyone who is looking for professionalism and high quality hair services. Candice saved my hair!

I rarely have time to get my hair cut, but when I do, this is my go-to Salon. My main hairstylist is Bao. He’s an awesome person! Super friendly and talkative. The guy also loves his job 👍 styles your hair and always checks in by asking you how the cut looks every moment of the way.The station is also well kept and always clean. Worth every penny going here 🤜 Lookin forward to gettin my hair dyed here again one of these days too.

I truly love this salon. I have always been treated courteously and promptly. The second I walk in I am greeted and asked if I need something to drink. Vanessa, my hair stylist is the absolute BEST. I always get compliments on my hair. The owner, DLisa is a riot! She makes me laugh and I love getting my waxing services done with her. She is also super philanthropic with her business and always donates to my 501c3 animal advocacy charity. I cannot foresee going anywhere else now.

Vanessa Ripoyla is my hair hero, and sometimes I even ask her to just do whatever because I trust her. Sure we can chop it off! She colored my hair black on my last visit and Im so happy with how it turned out. The new salon location is beautiful and there are tons of refreshments available.

They do great haircuts and styling and before the haircut they wash your hair and give an amazing scalp massage. Just remember your getting talented Professional Service. If I was rich I’d give it a five star . Gave it a four star because they are pricey and unfortunately I couldn’t afford to do a cut and color on my hair. I was lucky however to get a same day appointment so when calling them be sure to leave a message if you get there voicemail- They Do Return Your Call . For me they returned my call within 1 hour.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but DLisa Shayn Khademi is an angel of a human and gave me one of the best hours of my life! My skin is glowy!! I was SO relaxed while in her care (I’m a little weird with facials / massages, it’s hard for me to sit still) and I am so grateful! That literally shifted my entire mood and changed the whole trajectory of my day. Yes, it was that amazing!She did a custom facial, brow lamination and eyelash and eyebrow tint. I am feeling so great about my face and went makeup free all day (not normal for me). My boyfriend noticed right away and told me my skin looked amazing. Seriously she is the best!

I randomly found this Salon on google and I am so glad that I did. They took me in on a Sunday as a walk in and am extremely happy with my new hair. Bao was my stylist and I will be coming back to him for sure. The place is very cute, chic, modern and most important CLEAN! Everyone is very friendly and they even have a complimentary snack bar that has coffee and tea (the good kind)

DLisa kept me calm, gave simple instructions, and worked efficiently and effectively. She made small talk to keep the mood loose and did a fantastic job taking care of business. I had a great experience! A friend referred me here because they have a reputation for being trans friendly and they lived up to it. The stylist was knowledgeable and even taught me some of the basic stuff I probably shouldve already known. Ill be coming back.

I have been getting my haircut by Bret here for several years. The salon is always spotless and well managed. The online booking is a godsend. When you cant make an arrangement they will refer you to someone equally talented in the salon. They have done a great job though covid impacts and deserve to be recognized for that also.

Nadine is great! Ive seen her a couple times now and I love my hair. The atmosphere is fun and energetic. I really appreciate that they are open later during the week and on Sundays, I dont have to leave work early to make my appointments!

DLisa is by far one of the nicest and most professional people I have ever met. I have spent years looking for a professional waxer. I was so happy to have found Salon DShayn. I will never go anywhere else again. Appointment booking is easy and comes with reminder texts. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming and provides a nice hip aura. Salon D’ Shayn has the style and talent you look for in an upscale salon without the pretension. I’ve had multiple services for skin, nails and hair and they never disappoint. The technicians are very knowledgeable and professional and their products and services are in line with all of the trends. The great atmosphere, wonderful staff and stellar service are why I keep coming back.

Sorry to say but this beauty salon has to be the worst experience I have had. I left the salon in shock and devastated by my experience. I was interested in minimal highlights, as soon as the hairstylist Kristen saw my length of hair she began to try and discourage me from even trying to lighten my hair. I still requested a test strand, after 25 minutes of having supposed “bleach” in my hair there was no difference. I truly believe that the stylist didn’t even put bleach in my hair, just to avoid having to do the work. I have tried test strands at home and have been able to achieve almost white hair. After being disappointed with the possibility of coloring my hair by a PROFESSIONAL I decided to get a trim and blow dry. The hairstylist was very unfriendly and at times rough with my hair. During the blow dry she was clearly frustrated with my length of hair and had no problem showing me her frustration. I was treated as if didn’t have the money to pay. As soon as she was done blow drying my hair she just threw my hair to one side didn’t bother to brush it, put some finishing product on it, or verify that the length was even everywhere instead she quickly asked for payment. She was in a huge rush to get me out. I felt so horribly uncomfortable. This was the first time in my life I had finally decided to color my hair, it’s very unfortunate for Kristen, if she only would have known I would have paid her ANYTHING she asked for and would have tipped her handsomely if she would have had the patience to color my hair. If your hair is longer than your shoulders DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE AND TRUST THESE PEOPLE, they don’t want anyone with long or dark colored hair for their clients.

Nadine is a wonder. She was super fun, chill, polite, professional and did an amazing job coloring my hair. Its almost a month later and the oil slick colors are still stunning against my naturally dark hair.

If you need anything for your hair- cut, color, extensions, etc. Oliver is your guy! He’s absolutely amazing and very accommodating. The salon also has a cool vibe and a relaxing but fun atmosphere.

Omg!! I forgot to write a review, but the service and cleanliness + the environment was perfect!! I went from dark brown medium hair to platinum blonde in one sitting of two sessions! The results were incredible and definitely would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Karla nailed my goal and I thank her for it!!

The vibe here is amazing, friendly but professional; the Midtown location perfect, convenient for the urban workplace & bordering neighborhoods; but best of all, Bao is a scissor artist, sculpting the right amount from just the right places. I scheduled an appointment with Bao Do hopingI would get a good haircut and I was very pleasantly surprised. In fact, it was my favorite haircut Ive ever had. He is so awesome at what he does and it was such a comfortable experience. I wish I would have found him sooner!

By far Salon DShayn is an exceptional salon. Bao is a great cutter/stylist. Perfection is his middle name. Have gone to him for many years following him from the Scottsdale location to the downtown Phoenix location (now although the drive is a tad too far). DLisa is a professional and does so much to maintain her salon and personnel too highest standards. I highly recommend this Salon if your looking for professional and knowledgeable individuals.

I decided to grow my hair out long a few years ago and realized I am not long hair savy, so I had to find a salon to help tame my mane. Salon D Shayn not only helped me not have huge 80s hair but they have helped me keep it looking healthy. I am one of those guys that tries to get in last minute so I have seen Lydia, Vanessa and Bret. It doesnt matter who I see they are all great.

Well, I wouldnt know how great their services are supposed to be in accordance with the reviewers, but in the area of being proactive in communication, its a straight fail!!! Google shows the salon being open for business on Sunday, so I called several times prior to taking a LYFT to get there, figured wow they must be really busy, they cant get to the phone.I just needed to get a manicure, since my schedule was tight and I didnt have much time in PHX to scout around, figured maybe they can squeeze me in before its too late.Well lo and behold, upon my arrival I see 2 ladies, each styling the only 2 customers in the salon. They were not overburdened with a ton of customers, so why couldnt the phone be answered for business???? A friend and I had an appointment for a Brazillian Wax on a Thursday afternoon. This would be the 1st wax for both of us. We arrived at 12pm for the 1st appointment. Once in the waxing room, I was told that the hair was not long enough to wax. When originally booking the appointment, I was told to let the hair grow for 5 days. So, I went 7 days just to be sure. The owner informed me that the usual time period is 10-14 days. I told her the name of the associate who gave me the wrong information. Once I got to the front, she told me she spoke with the associate. I was told that the associate denied giving the information that was given to me. So, basically, she was calling me a liar. It was very unfortunate that I was given incorrect information, got a babysitter and paid a babysitter and was not able to have the services done. I would have scheduled myself out another week had I been informed correctly. It was a wasted day and wasted money. Please train your employees on proper time frames and information to give to new customers. It would save a headache and a poor review.

Everybody is super friendly in the salon. Bao gave me a flawless haircut, and I got a lot of compliments. He is skilled, meticulous, and caring. Recommend him highly.
