Absolutely LOVE this place. Im a pretty anxious person, but they always make me feel super welcome. Staff is lovely and hilarious, drinks are tasty. Been for a karaoke night and a UHaul singles event, and both times it was lively and I had an absolute blast. If youre looking for a safe environment for any type of person, this is where to go. Chill but not dead when I went from about 7-9, the party really starts picking up 10-12 (I havent stayed longer than that due to my work hours, but I fully intend to). Bring your cishet friends and they can still have a wonderful time. I not only feel safe on a literal level, with staff I feel I can go to if something is wrong and weapons checked at the door, but mentally safe to put my reservations aside - everyone puts themselves out there and you can be yourself, and theres areas you can go to chill out when its more packed. Parking is a bit tight if youre bringing a DD but nothing impossible. Seriously cannot recommend enough! Come through!

Lesbian bar. Dancing area and patio. They have a NA beer, and of course sodas. Wish there was an actual mocktail menu but you could ask the bartender to mix something up. Came during the day. Love that they opened at 2pm since we are old ladies that dont stay up late anymore 🤣Street parking is kind of limited so be prepared to walk a couple blocks. Not bad. Will be back.

Staff is super nice, super watchful. I always feel safe here. Karaoke on Wednesdays is super fun, and all the regulars are pretty great to be around. Nice outdoor seating, pool tables.

I am posting this review my friend who goes to Boycott regularly, because they are known to block (on Instagram) people who post negative reviews. I will relay any responses from the owner!- - -I want to preface by saying that I do like Boycott and want to continue to attend, and Im writing a negative review so that Boycott can improve. My first complaint is with a specific bartender- a white girl with reddish/red hair, on the shorter side. Every time I go and shes working, Im anxious to even order at the bar because of her tone and behavior. She is unkind, snotty and rude, and outright mean at times. I didnt hear her once while at the bar, and she shouted what do you want at me in a very condescending, demeaning tone. She also mixes crappy drinks- Ive seen her put what looked like strawberry vodka in my cosmo, and her drinks are always off. She also once promised me an extra drink because she messed up my first one, and then didnt know/pretended not to know what I was talking about when I tried to order it that night. She is so mean and brusque that Ive chosen not to go to Boycott on nights that I want to because she makes me so anxious.On top of that, the prices are excessive. Its something like $6 for a water, and when I asked for a cup instead, the same bartender said no and that it was only the bottles for $6. I was just trying to be healthy and safe in my drinking, and had to pay significant money for it. I also was charged $21 for a double cosmo- and then it wasnt even a real double, and barely even tasted like a cosmo should- mixed by the redheaded bartender.I also find myself frustrated by their events. I attended the Taylor Swift night a few weeks ago, and they played very very little Taylor. Whats the point of having a Taylor Swift night if youre not actually going to play any of her music? The cover charge was far too high for an Artist Night where they didnt even play the artist in question.I love Boycott and I just want to see it improve!

Omg! So....I have come and went .....only because I do my gayborhood fun here and there! ;)But I have to say ....I love this place ....so at night it may be a younger crowd on weekends ...but so fun! I love the bartender, Nick ....so, she is awesome....we come in during day on Saturdays....and play our music on jukebox, so fun. Great drinks...great conversation, great time!

My friend used to be a bartender here and recommended this spot for its karaoke. I didn’t partake for very long, but a fun experience nonetheless. I loved how chill and low key the vibe was, made me feel like my drunk singing was accepted. The drinks were good, the bartenders successfully got the party started haha. There’s also a Mexican place down the street if you’re hungry.

Super FUN club with great service and an AWESOME owner! ( Audrey) She has worked tirelessly over the years to keep Phoenix on the map for one of the only women’s clubs left in the country. Her hard work is SO greatly appreciated and she’s such a nice person!

I moved to Phoenix 6 months ago and finally checked this place out! Liz hands down my my favorite green tea shot! I’ve been searching for one and I finally found a good one. I’ll be back!

Please dont host community nights if you arent willing to commit to that community. I normally love you guys but your swiftie nights arent it. If you guys arent going to commit to a Saturday night or Taylor or Taylor adjacent, then dont host Taylor nights. The DJ played the same exact playlist twice on both Taylor nights. You advertise to bring bracelets for swiftie style atmosphere yet your employees dont even commit to it. The only response I got from a bartender tonight about the lack of Taylor on Taylor night was its hard to play Taylor in a club then dont host Taylor nights.

Forget what you think of when you go to a gay bar - this place was a blast and was welcoming to everyone, including those in our party that were non-lgbtq+ia. The DJ was outstanding, drinks were tasty, the club and bathrooms were well maintained, there was a great cozy outside area, and the owner could not have been more kind or cool. Though it was smaller, it had a vibe that was drama free and just a good time to hang, dance, and laugh. We will be back soon!

I order an extra crispy pepperoni pizza and it’s always so bomb! The bartenders are always on point and happy! The atmosphere is always a vibe when we go!

Legit spot for a Night on the town Boycott locates in Phoenix Melrose district. Been here a few times and love the dj s spinning hip hop latin with a sprinkle of that new pop. Bar drink generously can’t complain about much here. Oh yeah came here for Halloween so enjoy my photos. Phoenix bar also has a game room in the back a little more chill or get your dance on in the main room. Came here with friends for costume party and had a blast. Every once and a while the bar calls out specialty drinks, I think that’s cool put it on my tab! I’ll be back again Boycott just you wait

I love this bar! I have been coming here for 5 years now and I have always been taken care of. I even had bartenders and bouncer take care of my well being. One special shout out I do want to give out is Jocelyn she has been an amazing bartender and her customer service have been amazing. Another shout outs to Dallas! One hardworking bouncer i tell yah. My first time visiting Boycott Bar. If you’ve been thinking about going, GO! Extremely warm and welcoming atmosphere. Before setting foot inside the bar, the bouncers were friendly and made me feel young by asking for my ID. The bartenders were top notch, I never had to wait to order a drink since they were very attentive and immediately asked if I’ve been helped. Making their customers happy is their main priority, and they also know how to have fun on the dance floor. The music was exceptional, DJ Dizzee sounds more amazing live than she does streaming on Twitch and she definitely knows how to make people wiggle it. The owner, Audrey, was on deck making sure everyone was enjoying the night, you can tell she truly cares about your experience. The bathrooms were very clean and not once waited in line. Boycott Bar is by far the best bar I have had the pleasure to visit. Definitely a returning customer!

It’s been amazing to see what Audrey has done with the place and every time I walk in it just gets more beautiful in there. Jocelyn is absolutely a big part of me returning…her service and love for the bar is top notch! I have many great memories and I will keep coming back. Every time I go here I have an amazing time. The bartenders made my awkward self feel very comfortable until I found my own little group to hang out with for the night. Also, watch out for the drinks. The alcohol will creep up on you, and you will end up dancing whether you can do it or not.Its most active on weekends of course, but there are events during the week as well, such as karaoke. I usually try to go for karaoke if I can, as the crowd is nonjudgmental. If youre shy and always wanted to try karaoke, this is your place.

Audrey and her team are the best! Every event or even just a simple night out. We have always been taken care of. Its always a great time when the fam/friends get together here. You wont regret stepping foot in this establishment.

I went to Boycott for the first time last night and had an amazing experience! From my very first interaction with Dallas at the door to Nic working the bar, and Jimmy hosting speed dating and karaoke, everyone was so kind! I had great conversations with all of them and will be back because of how comfortable, inviting, and fun they made my first experience. A true sense of community here.You can tell that everyone who works here are like family to each other, and that they welcome people in with that same vibe! This is absolutely a place for everyone, lots of events and things going on all week, definitely worth checking out!

Im gonna be honest here. Every time I go to boycott, the atmosphere is off and weird. Their drinks taste awful and overpriced. I ordered two well tequila with diet coke, which was 30 bucks. I laughed, and the bartender was serious. I was shocked. I couldnt believe it. I also ordered a sex on the beach, was 1/10 Ive checked it out on fridays and Saturdays always empty. Big event photos Ive seen look misleading its always empty. The lighting sucks and the bar looks extremely dirty. Im surprised its even open. There was a Mexican food truck in front. It was also a miss.

I moved to Phoenix in 2022 from western New York and told my friends about this amazing bar. My friend decided to come to Phoenix for her Bachelorette weekend because she had watch Lesbian Bar Project and heard that Boycott is one of the few lesbian bars left in the United States. We went here and I told the owner, who was bartending that night, that we had all come here for her bachelorette weekend specifically to come to this bar. Audrey gave us the VIP booth and treated us with so much kindness, we were all blown away. We did not anticipate the amount of attention that we received at all. I was grateful that she treated my friends so well that had traveled all the way here to come to this truly historic landmark. We felt truly seen and recognized and she made the experience so special. The music was amazing all night and the drinks were easy to get at the bar. We all left feeling so good and so emotional about how well we were treated. I will definitely be back as much as I can for as long as I live in Phoenix. Audrey and her staff are truly some of the kindest souls I have met here and have made me feel right at home. This is a beautiful place that is so accepting and loving and I would highly recommend it to any queer person visiting and/or living in Phoenix. Just amazing

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The owner Audrey knows literally everyone who walks into her bar because she takes the time to meet&greet everyone. She is the sweetest and will make sure you’re taken care of. Had my birthday party here a couple years ago and the service was incredible! It’s a family there. The bartenders are great, the music is great, and the energy there, is what keeps everyone coming back.

I moved to AZ a little over a year ago and Boycott was the first bar I checked out. Very nice and welcoming environment. The staff is awesome and drinks arent overpriced like other places Ive been to in the area. So happy I was able to find a place that is for US! Even happier to support a woman owned business. The owner is super sweet and constantly greeting and checking on visitors to make sure were good. Nothing but good vibes here.

Jocelyn is a Virgo QUEEEN!! She made me delicious drinks and The bars atmosphere was absolutely stunning. I started crying because of how amazing it was to be in a space that is safe and fem!!!

Unassuming place for sure! Super welcoming and down to earth. Truthfully, I didn’t realize it was a lesbian bar, but As a gay man I was welcomed with open arms. Tuesday night drag show was awesome and the regulars were over the top accommodating. I recommend to anyone looking for a place to chill, have a drink and be yourself. Keep it up Boycott!

Great atmosphere and music! Bartender was amazing! Not too happy that the arcade games and dart board werent plugged in or seemed to be in use anytime recently. The drinks are pretty expensive for what Im used to. $30 for 3 drinks is not crazy, but could be better. Definitely will be back on a more busy night to check out that DJ theyre always talking about.

The go go dancers are beautiful and sweet but honestly 45 bucks for 4 shots and a spirt was sad and disappointing af. Pregame before going. Paying 45 bucks didnt make me wanna do another shot or drink

This is the best gay bar in Phoenix! Audrey, the owner, is so amazing she even gave my friend jerky when he said he needed to eat. The bartenders are super friendly and it’s not filled with an older crowd. They’ve got people of all ages and all walks of life 🤣. Next time I’m in Phoenix I am definitely going back and I urge everyone to join me. They go above and beyond to keep everyone smiling and having fun. Seriously it’s amazing so give it a try. Also the bartender Kristen is the best in town. I didn’t even have to order a specific drink. I told her what type of drinks I liked and she surprised me with a whole new drink that was to die for.

Stopped in last week for a drink and ended the night with Karoake and great memories. The staff was amazing and the drinks hit the spot. Great dance floor too. Plus the pizza was super tasty.

I’ve been so excited to visit one of the remaining lesbian bars in the country while visiting Phoenix for my birthday but tonight I walked in to a bar full to the brim with shirtless gay men. Not a woman to be seen on a Friday night at the lesbian bar. The bouncer said we could come in but that the guys had rented the bar out tonight and that we could come back tomorrow if we wanted, which just made me more sad. Queer womxn spaces are being erased and this was the worst example I’ve seen yet. I’m not sure why these men wanted to reserve this bar (literally called Boycott) out of all the gay bars in Phoenix or why the staff at Boycott bar agreed for them to rent this space on a Friday night. I thought I’d try again tomorrow but outside Stacey’s I had a conversation with a local about it and she said “oh yeah boycott bar sucks” and some old man walking by us on the street overheard her and interjected about how fun Boycott bar has been lately which kinda proved my point and leads me to believe this is a pattern. So sad.

This bar is everyone friendly! Great drink specials daily and free tacos on Tuesday! The owner and staff are all friendly and fast! Favorite thing is the game room filled with awesome games from super Mario guitar hero a pool table and much more! Can’t forget about kareoke on Tuesday and Sunday!

Great place to go dancing with friends! Music is hit or miss depending on the night, customer service is always great but the only down side is the bathrooms are kinda dirty.Overall a good experience and of course I love supporting 🏳️‍🌈 businesses ❤

In town for a work conference and had to check this place out. It definitely did not disappoint. The entire staff and bartenders were extremely friendly and welcoming! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Love this place! Great vibe. Employees are really nice and outgoing. The owner is great with customers and is super chill and a fun person. My friends and I always have a fun time dancing and their drinks a really good.

The music is always great, they play for everyone. The owner makes the best drinks! Reasonably priced. They have a pool table, old school Nintendo to play super Mario bros. And darts all in a separate game room where you can smoke and get away from the noise if needed. Oh and chalkboard wall to leave your mark. Very fun place especially for the lgbtq community, in particular the ladies.

The first time I went to Boycott it was a Thursday, and the karaoke was on fire. Everyone sang, Boycott staff were fun and so nice, and the atmosphere and vibe were inescapable - we stayed all night. Favorite spot in Melrose!!!

Just moved from Oregon to AZ. Le$bean couple and found this place on google maps. At first I was like ??? Then We showed up. Door had security +.. came in and was lit like yes gurl the best place ever. They have an arcade room with a pool table and tv for old school Mario. Me being a responsible driver I asked for someone to drive us. The driver got the best treatment ever!! Like soda and pizza sent out of course on my tab and definitely a place to hit up!!

Most fun we have had on our trip to Phoenix. The owner is amazing, the staff is so kind, the customer service is tops, the drinks are strong and the entertainment is a blast. Bravo, Boycott! We will be back!

Be warned this bar has a “hold your card charge” something as someone who goes to scottsdale, downtown and tempe bars this something that ive never heard of. Bought an 11 dollar drink and asked to keep an open tab. Only bought that one drink and was charged $50. For one drink. Called and said that this was normal for bars in downtown and ive lived in downtown my whole life and have gone to bars and never had this happen ANYWHERE. Not only that but $39 extra???? They said it will drop off so we’ll see but even if that is the case simple communication wouldve been nice to anyone. They assume everyone knows but they should know that not everyone does. Again have this “hold you card charge” is weird to us. Both my fiance and my friend had this happen.

People at door were very pleasant, but after I entered it was a whole different experience. We were told someone would be helping us but it took them 15 minutes to get us drinks. Then afterwards waited 30 minutes for someone to even see if we needed more drinks and that point I just walked. Would not recommend.

Front door was very professional at giving us the current rules for covid. Music was great! Drinks were on point. Definitely the place to be for a good time. Felt very welcomed here as a straight man.

If you think of going just for a drink nope dont bother! Bartenders just pick and choice who they want to serve even when the bar isnt busy.Dont waste youre time and money.The ladys at the door collecting the cover were nice, also the big security guard, they were the only employees that were polite and without an attitude. First and last time here. The owners dont realize that they need to be true and value their customers. I came here on a Friday night. They charge $5 cover because they have 50¢ drinks. What they dont tell you is that it ends at 11... They really dont tell you. People that go there all the time might know, but not new people. So I go up to the bar and ask the bartender what drinks are the 50¢ ones. She tells me. I told her to recommend me one tahts not too sweet. She serves me a drink that I liked. So I ordered that all night thinking it was 50¢. Mind you, she didnt even tell me that was not part of the special. So when I got the bill it was huge! My friends and I had been drinking all night. When I asked her what was going on she told me that my drink was not part of the special and that she had told me... They seem to take advantage of people because they think they are drunk and of course the drunk is always wrong. So she started talking back to me with such a bad attitude. I will be reporting them with the better business bureau.

Just moved into the area and when the lifted some of the restrictions this was the first bar I went to. The are doing a great job following CDC regulations. they are meeting the criteria that all the bars in are are following, and doing there best to maintain a safe environment.

Been here many times! The staff are all great and now that there are shows and more people are coming back out it’s getting even better. Definitely recommend as this is the best place to feel like covid never happened while still following the new “rules”.

I dont know who the two ladies , standing out front tonight. I walked up Melrose , looking to find a cocktail lounge to have a cold drink. I saw the Boycott Bar , it appeared to be open for business. I was immediately greeted with a very positive attitude. In these hard times, particularly for the small businesses, they have found a way to keep their heads above water. . These two women are the kind of people that are going to make it. Its people like these two that gives me hope. They struggle like the rest of us, yet they gifted me with a blessing. Once this ends and even now. I will do business with them. Ordering delivery services when I can. When the world returns , you better believe that I will be there . Why? Because they have given to me , a blessing of Hope. Thank you my friends whomever you are.Ed

Most inclusive bar. The bartender (Joselyn) and (Audrey) are the coolest people running a bar in Phoenix. I highly recommend for anyone. Every time I’m here I always want to come back

Been coming here for 3 weeks now. Karaoke here is always a great time and the staff are awesome. A really chill place where nobody really gets in your face like other bars. Would highly recommend.

Been coming here since it opened. I’ve always felt welcomed and appreciated. The staff here are very friendly and fun. Great Customer Service and the management is some of the best in the valley. Always have a great time here and look forward to many new memories here.

Great bar but bar hoppers/ security are mean and triggering! Took my water agressively out of my hand other then simply saying there is no cups out of the bar had a good time other then them. Triggered me so bad they do NOT need to be so aggressive with everyone!!!!

My vary favorite part is the ambiance and the building this gem of a restaurant is in! This old early 1800s church is gorgeous with stained glass windows, giant chandeliers, and would details! Just beautiful
