Such a fantastic place for all of your needs! I’ve been going to Miya for manicures and she does a fantastic job. After visiting a few other salons, I can confidently say Miya (and her sister Cam) are the best of the best. The quality is top notch and they are incredibly easy to talk to.I’ve recently started seeing Dr. Bridgett Urban for chiropractic needs. Again, she’s the best in the area and genuinely cares about your needs. She listens to your concerns and adjusts her techniques to better help you.I could not recommend Salon53 more for any service you may be looking to book.

I just had a massage by Cassie...I feel relaxed and my joints feel smooth like she knocked a layer of old rust off the cogs!A very relaxing and energizing experience.

Last Saturday was supposed to be a special day for us. We traveled from Put-in-Bay, coordinating with the ferry schedule, all excited for my daughter’s very first haircut at Salon 53 in Port Clinton. But our experience didnt quite match our anticipation. Despite it being a busy day, we were oddly the only ones waiting in the salon—a detail that makes our lack of welcome even more baffling.We had everything planned out, as we are subject to a ferry schedule, securing our 9:30 AM appointment online the night before. Arriving a tad early, around 9:05/9:10 AM, we walked into a quiet salon, hopeful for a warm greeting. But, we were met with silence. The walk-ins welcome sign on the door seemed to mock us as we sat unnoticed. When two more stylists showed up and still no one acknowledged us, despite us being the only customers there, our confusion and frustration grew.It felt surreal, having to go up and ask for service after waiting for nearly 45 minutes, especially considering the effort we made just to get there and our confirmed appointment. It was my wife who finally broke the ice, stepping up to remind them of our appointment.The day did take a turn for the better when the stylist, who had been around since we arrived, finally gave my daughter her haircut. She did a fantastic job, and watching my daughter enjoy her first haircut experience was a relief and a joy.I’m not one to write reviews, but this time felt different. I wanted to share our story to hopefully spark some change. Its crucial for businesses, especially those in the service industry, to acknowledge and welcome every customer, no matter how busy the day or how empty the salon seems. The initial oversight was a letdown and not something we expected on such a significant day for us.Despite the rocky start, the quality of the haircut itself was not in question. Its just a shame that our visit didnt begin on the warm note we had hoped for. Our feedback comes from a place of constructive criticism, with the hope that no other family has to feel overlooked as we did.Celebrating a special occasion like a child’s first haircut should feel special from the moment you step in. We missed that warm welcome at Salon 53, but we’re hopeful our experience can lead to a better start for others in the future.

I go there for my lash extensions with Hannah Mallory. The retention is incredible, and she is very knowledgeable answering all my questions. Ive been going to her for about half a year. I got a brown set the last time, and Im in love♡

My wife and I were on our honeymoon in Port Clinton and met the owner of Salon 53 at a local restaurant; after visiting for a while and asking about our plans for the next day, she offered to schedule a massage for myself and a facial for my wife as a wedding/honeymoon gift to us. She was able to get us an appointment at the same time for the next day, and our experience was nothing short of excellent - my massage was so rejuvenating and relaxing, and my wife said her facial was just as great! Everyone at Salon 53 was so kind and friendly to us; if we lived in the area, this would be our go-to salon! The owners kindness and generosity and the staff are reason enough to support this salon, but their service is just as outstanding! Thank you, Salon 53!

We were staying at the Easy Harbor State Park and I really needed a haircut. We had been traveling for nearly a month. Went to a local cafe and a lady who worked there had the cutest haircut. Asked her for a good salon recommendation and she recommended this one. Wendy was my stylist and was excellent! So glad they were able to work me in (she had a cancellation) and so pleased with the cut. They make you feel very welcome.

I had pretty interesting experience at this place. I had IBE hair extensions with Cherise Thompson where she quoted me for 8 wefts $130 each based on my hair thickness plus $500 for install for total of $1540 (without the tips). When I went to the appointment for the install she end up using only 6 wefts and she told me that the extra 2 wefts will stay at the salon, but I still paid for all 8 wefts. When I went for my move up I requested additional weft to be added to my hair and she told me that she didn’t have any left for my length…I’m thinking like what??? she found different hair one piece that was completely different color and length but she blended and it looked good. My question is if I paid for all 8 pieces, where do the other 2 pieces go? After about month I told her that I no longer want to do this type of extension as my scalp was not happy and I decide to take the hair down myself and I asked if I can go pick up the last 1 piece of hair I had left at the salon. I traveled one hour to go pick up the hair. She had it ready at the front counter just one piece of hair no bag no nothing. I put it in my bag and when I got home and took it out of the bag OMG the quality and texture of this hair looked and felt absolutely awful!!! Also one side of the hair was already cut and layered which means this is used hair!!! I took pictures and I messaged her and she never responded to me. Long story short if you are interested in hair extensions do your research and ask for proof where she actually ordered the hair from, because there is no paperwork or case or anything to show the company name. Also if you pay for more hair than what she end up using DO NOT LEAVE IT THERE!!! You paid for it and it’s your right to take it with you!!! I think what she is doing is quoting people for more hair, then the extra hair stays with her and she is using it on other people, otherwise why would she not have any pieces left from my hair when I requested extra piece added on the move up??? Quick tip… find someone with cosmetology license and order your professional hand tied extensions for 40%-50% cheaper

I had my first visit to Salon53 this past Thursday. I had the Global Keratin treatment done by Liz Chicoine and I couldnt be happier with the results! Not only was she very friendly, welcoming and easy to talk with, but each person I encountered there was as well! Also, Liz is very knowledgeable in hair care. I highly recommend this salon!!

I see Bridgett for chiropractic care every 2 weeks. Shes the best in the area, and the only female chiropractor might I add. I have also had my hair cut and styled here, Sydney was my stylist and she did fantastic work. Highly recommend this salon. My next visit I will be checking out the massage therapy.

Love Liz, she is absolutely the best. My three sons have gone to only her for 10 years & counting. She truly cares about her customers and always listens to what you want done with your hair. Salon 53 is a beautiful, friendly, & relaxing place.

I booked my visit 2 weeks in advance with so much excitement and anticipation...And it paid back tenfold.My stylist was absolutely fantastic.I had a tall order, full bayalage, wanted blonde on my dark brown natural hair and she worked a miracle. I got a beautiful gold toned color melt that Im obsessed with. Its perfect. They are very clean, very professional, and gave me a cranberry juice to drink while my hair processed. 5 star treatment and beautiful personality, I recommend to everyone!

I was traveling through OH and desperately needed color touch up, foil and cut. I called and they were able to work me in the next day. Lisa is awesome! Great color, great cut. The atmosphere was very nice and they were very welcoming. Offered lemon water or coffee. If I lived in the area I wouldnt hesitate to drive miles out of my way to do business with this salon.

Salon 53 goes to great lengths to insure the sanitation of their shop. No walk-ins, clients stay in their car until called, temperatures are taken at the door and hand sanitizer is mandatory. Everyone has masks and their are portable clear plastic racks that can be moved between stations. The service is professional and friendly.

I had an appointment that I had to cancel due to an illness, I then received a call that I owed $47 for the cancellation! They informed me that there was a 24 hr cancellation policy. When I made the appointment, I was not informed of this. I canceled 3 hrs short of 24 the day before. I made the appointment in person at the front desk and was shown a waiting list for appointments, so I don’t feel that they couldn’t fill the time slot.The individual that called had only the words can I have a card number to pay this ridiculous amount for cancellation.I would not recommend this business to anyone, as it seems they only want your money!!

Only the best treatment from all at Salon 53, if you need some pampering, go to Salon 53, and they will treat you right.

The staff is so friendly here, especially Lisa! Would definitely reccomend having others come here, either for a hair cut or even to vet your nails done!
