Massage & Spa at Bethany

I have been coming to Massage and Spa at Bethany for several years, my experience has always been AWESOME. The massage therapist and estheticians are excellent. I have found the staff to be professional, caring and attentive. I would highly recommend!

Everything was amazing! Adrienne took very good care of me. This was a much needed self care day for me and Im so happy! I had the best sleep of my life when I went home. I am looking forward to my next facial with her ☺️.

I would advise to stay away from them based on my experience. The establishment is clean and serene. The staff are not how at when coming to providing massage services for the booked time. The owner makes up excuses like “ it’s their first day and they were nervous and ended the massage session early “ “ you cannot time the 90 minute session as it questions our integrity “ . One of the LMT said my time begins as soon as I walk in the door and that she needs to end it early so she can be on time for the next customer . these are all different ways of ghosting and stealing your money. The owner is against timing the sessions and wants the customers to play along for whatever they choose to offer. Never have ever seen anybody refuse to be honest to the money they charge . A few of the customers had posted similar experiences and I booked the appointment hoping it would be different but guess we all learn something new everyday!

I have seen three different massage therapists here and they were all wonderful! I left feeling so relaxed and recharged. The spa is very welcoming, I highly recommend.

I asked Sharlene for deep pressure and she delivered! I also told her about my main areas of pain and she helped to focus on them so I left completely relaxed. What an amazing hot stone massage, I will definitely be back!

Disappointed because I scheduled my husband a one hour massage here for a Father’s Day gift a month in advance.He was excited for his massage and was planning to go, but his 3rd level manager unexpectedly called him into a meeting at the same time as his appt.We tried calling asap to reschedule and instead they charged us a $65 cancellation fee that they refused to waive. Many places will waive a cancellation fee if it’s the 1st time you’ve had to do so.Bit frustrated as it was out of his control and it kind of soured his gift.

I had the pain annihilator massage for a hip condition. It did the trick, no more pain! Janae was my LMT. She was very good and professional.

I have had facials with Rebecca for years. Her tender touch and calming demeanor makes for a peaceful , blissful experience. Her hands are like butter to my skin. I Travel and have had many facials on my trips and NO ONE compares to Rebecca. My skin glows after her recommended treatments. Worth every penny!!!!

I’m not sure why the owner keeps attacking the negative reviews and so I called them to make an appointment and asked about the validity of the claims. They said that the business was not great since the negative reviews and how the owner is short of money to run a business. So they fire customers that learn about their scam and rudeness. But they do it after forcing them to pay tips and gaslight them for sharing feedback. One of the LMT agreed that they don’t get paid well and rely on tips. I am sure this review will catch their eye and will respond in a nasty way. Do me a favour . If you are looking for a high quality of massage and a psychologically safe environment where you can share what works for you and what doesn’t, avoid this place . Economy is tough and the owner wants to make money while offering subpar services and finding creative ways to bury negative reviews. Maybe they were good when they started but you don’t want their toxic energy. Life is tough and massage and spa at Bethany will make sure it is true if you want true value for your money and be treated right. P.s - cue a lengthy angry response from the owner . Because typing trash is much easier than to own up to mistakes and offer apologies.

The quality and consistency, friendly staff, low levels of turnover, atmosphere, attention, and excellent all-around vibe make Massage & Spa at Bethany one of my favorite all-time destinations. Id give 6 stars if I could.

Amazing experience. The front desk staff is so nice, Adrienne (the Esthetician) was knowledgeable, passionate, and so sweet. I highly recommend. I will definitely book again.

The Spa at Bethany is very calm and peaceful. After several massages with Janae my back is much improved. Janae is very good at determining problem areas and varying the pressure as you request and as needed. Highly recommend.

Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. This was my first spa experience. I had the Mud Wrap and it left my skin feeling so soft. I highly recommend Kelly. I left my first spa experience feeling relaxed and comfortable. I will definitely be back in the future.

Janae is knowledgeable in her profession. She was helpful with my muscle pain. I highly recommend her services. Made it a priority to get an appointment with her again when I was in the area visiting my family.

Brent Babauta is an amazing massage therapist! I have been seeing him regularly for the last 2 years and appreciate his ability to deliver firm pressure, but loosen up everything completely so you just melt into the table. He always digs in and gets to all my knots and I leave feeling relaxed and in much less pain than when I arrived. I deal with chronic migraines, so to me massage is more than just relaxing. It is pain management and I am so grateful to have someone to help me feel better. If you like deep tissue and firm pressure, but not being bruised, Brent would be perfect for you. Massage and Spa at Bethany is a clean, calm, soothing environment and their massage tables are memory foam and so comfy you feel like you are floating on a cloud.

Amazing massage, I was in much pain, and the deep tissue massage worked great! Next day I woke up with just a mild soreness from the work on my muscles, but no pain.

Lovely staff! I had been having a streak of nine migraines in seven days and Destiny did neck and shoulder work that finally helped me get rid of that migraine!!! Extremely well versed, very communicative, I love her explanations for what she’s doing and why. I literally came out thinking, I had forgotten that I used to have more mobility in my neck! Her work was life-changing!!!I also just got a nice massage from Brittany!Also, the receptionist that was in yesterday helped set me up with a 5 30-minute massage package when I expressed the available 60-minute packages were too pricey for me. She made the massages not only accessible, even the first massage I got was charged to my 5-massage package plan!Thank you so much, Massage & Spa Bethany!!!

I’ve received massages a few times at this location. It has been a good experience each time. Brent was my therapist and he is just amazing. I highly recommend booking him for a 60 or 90 min massage.

I recently had the 120 min Mother Earth Wrap & Massage service - it was ABSOLUTELY DIVINE. The dry brushing, mud application, thermal wrap, scalp and foot massage (1 hour) and full body massage (1 hour) was nothing short of perfection.Lindsay is an all star massage therapist - she actually read through my intake form and took my concerns into consideration and always wanted to ensure I was comfortable with temperature, pressure, etc. Afterwards I left feeling like I was on cloud nine! Thank you Lindsay! I will definitely be coming back.

Highly recommend! I have been several times and its amazing self-care. All the massage therapists have been attentive and communicative about what level of pressure to use and any places that needed to be given more massaging. I love the ambiance and how relaxing and refreshed I feel afterward. They really want to make you feel comfortable and relaxed, which I also appreciate. I have also done the facial which was fabulous.

The staff is very gracious and wonderful. This review is especially for Charlene. I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for few years now. However my foot and lower leg pain got worse as I had some lessons in dancing. Charlene just did wonders to my foot. I do not feel such intense pain for a couple of weeks after I get my “sole purpose” massage done by her. This is helping my feet so much and I really appreciate Charlene for the effort she takes in understanding the issue and then fixing the underlying problem. This is a routine for me now. It has been a very good experience so far.

Brittany was amazing, it was my first time, no wait for my appointment. She is very professional and soft spoken. Made you feel relaxed and calm just in the first few minutes of meeting her. She was silent the entire massage (unless I spoke first) which i appreciated so much! I will be going back. I feel amazing and she got all my sore spots.

One of the best massages I’ve ever had. Kelly listened and did exactly what I asked. Perfect amount of pressure after checking in right at the beginning so that I didn’t have to. She answered all my questions as we went along and offered tips for continued healing after we were done. She just got a client for life. I’m so appreciative!

I had an amazing massage with Noelle she was amazing! It was my first time getting a professional massage and I definitely needed it after a stressful week at work. She had late evening availability which made it easy to book after work at 5pm. I was a bit nervous at first but she made me feel very comfortable and ease up. I ended up feeling so relaxed I almost fell asleep! 100% recommend if you need some YOU time to wind down and get pampered.

By far a superior massage spot. It was easy to get to the location that had plenty of parking. The interior was tranquil and quiet even just walking through the front door. Im pretty sure the very kind woman that worked with me is Lindsey? Im terrible with names. Not like I have alot of money to spend on massages but Ive had about half a dozen in my life so far and she gave me the best massage Ive ever had. She listened to my needs, worked with the whole body but still took extra time to go back and work on the really painful spots I had. Ive been suffering from migraines for months now due to neck pain, she worked so well in that area and Ive felt some much needed relief. Its going to take me going back consistently to have chronic pain reduced but I will DEFINITELY be going back. Such a great place, thank you!

Richard is the best for deep tissue, therapeutic massage. He has totally eliminated the tension-based pain in my back.

Sunday was my first time at Massage & Spa at Bethany. I had a massage & facial. I had some concerns about my facial and how my skin was reacting. When I contacted them with my concerns they were very quick to provide adequate solutions which I appreciated!

Just had an excellent Hydrafacial with Adrienne who was the sweetest and my husband had a 45 minute massage with Brittany, who he also enjoyed a lot! This spot is so convenient, great ambience, we’ll be back we totally loved our whole experience.

I love Massage and Spa at Bethany!! I dont think I could go elsewhere after experiencing the level of customer service they provide. I always feel welcome and relaxed from the moment I walk in the door. I have seen a few different providers here and they all were just top notch, among the best messages Ive ever had. Very skilled and customized the session for just want I needed at the time. The cost is very reasonable and the rooms are beautiful, comfortable and very clean. Coming off a 5 day road trip and I needed a massage asap!! After searching through reviews in an area Im not very familiar with, I found massage and spa at Bethany! Scheduled a 60 minute pain relief aka deep tissue massage and they randomly gave me Kelly! When I tell you this was legit the best massage Ive gotten in a longgggg time, Kelly pin pointed every knot, tension, and sore spot so accurately I was in shock by how much relief she gave me in only 60 minutes!!!!!!! I usually need a 90 but not with Kelly! I legit dont want to go back home because she was so good, anyone living in Portland area or visiting just dont even bother looking anywhere else and go here asap!!!!!!

A very expensive back rub vs a deep tissue massage (they even call it a pain annihilater). Underwhelming at best.

So many things I have given up during the pandemic, but after encountering neck troubles related to working from home, I realized how important massage was to keeping my balance and health through all this. A great massage from people who really care about your health - highly recommend!

Bethany Massage and Spa is a fabulous locally owned business and I cant say enough great things about it! I found it because I started working from home due to the pandemic and wanted a place close to home vs. work. The staff is professional, kind and caring and all the massage therapists are excellent. I have felt completely safe due to their cleaning and safety practices. Highly, highly recommend this place!

I’m so happy to have found Joseph at Massage and Spa at Bethany! I only go to him! I’ve had regular massages for a while now, and no one compares to Joseph. We clicked the first session we had! He’s made accommodations in our session to lower my anxiety and help me feel at ease. When I’ve been in pain or just want to relax, he’s fulfilled my needs. I always leave the spa feeling lifted and healed and that’s due to the highly skilled, Joseph.

I was experiencing chronic pain in my shoulder joint for about 3 months and within 1 session Im back to having full mobility in my shoulder! I have had several massages at the Massage & Spa at Bethany. Most recently, Christa R has been my massage therapist and she is awesome. Christa proposed cupping therapy for my back, which was new for me. It really seems to have helped quite a lot. I am most satisfied that she was willing to offer up alternative modalities for treating me.

I had the 1-hour relaxation massage with Meilani and it was absolutely fantastic. I have had far more expensive massages in Las Vegas and this was definitely in the same league. The whole vibe of the place was professional, friendly, and comfortable. I would most certainly go again and recommend them to anyone.

I got a massage from Jarret Addleman. I can tell you right now, that Along with owning my own house cleaning business, managing a horse barn with 13 horses and trying to fit lifting in to my routine, I have never felt such relief. I have tried everything. Chiropractic work (years and years and multiple companies). Acupuncture, massage therapy through Aveda, dosha spa, massage envy, and I can tell you right now that after my experience with Jarret, I have never felt such relief. I have been in 4 major car accidents and multiple work/horse accidents. I deal with back pain every day of my life. After 2 massages and a cupping session, I have experienced the most relief I have ever experience in my life. I am making it a point and priority in my life to at least meet once a month to twice a month. After our last session, I felt so much relief and no pain for a week or so when I haven’t gone a day without pain in years. It was absolutely incredible. He has the touch of an angel and I can’t thank him enough.

As a side note, I was impressed by their COVID-19 protocol. Very thoughtful, effective, and didnt detract from the peaceful spa experience at all. Highly recommend...this is a neighborhood gem.

The best hidden gem 💎Affordable upscale spa in Portland. Tucked in Bethany Village off of highway 26. I LOVE this place! Its hard to find such talent, yet consistent great service and reasonable prices! Very relaxing atmosphere and Ive never had a less than awesome experience ❤ Massage, facials, waxing, and more. Scheduled a massage 2 weeks ahead of time with Stevie, per recommendation. Was called and told Stevie was not going to be in due to weather, and was rescheduled for massage with Michelle. Hesitantly decided to stick with appointment, 1/12/16 for 60 minute massage. Arrived to my 2pm appointment 10 mins early, was seen to my room at 1:55pm. Discussed my expectations for massage with Michelle until 2:05pm. Massage began at 2:08 and ended right at 3pm. Massage was decent but was lacking. Was very discouraged massage was 52 mins not the 60 mins that was paid for. ($75). At a rate of $1.25 a minute, the therapist stopping massage early shorted me $10. Not good business / time management. Ive received many other massages and the massages are always a full 60 mins.

I look forward to every visit with Joette! She pays attention to my health needs as well as understanding whether or not I want to be chatty or quiet and relaxed. She has an amazing energy and truly cares! The facility is quiet and clean and always friendly.
