I attend a special event for Gay Pride, The Bliss party. Everything about the day/evening was spectacular. The staff was amazing. The event organizers were great and security was awesome. Each person I had contact with, that was involved with putting this on, was so great. Shout out to, Irene. The space was nicely done, especially the rooftop area. The food was amazing. I recommend this place for events, or just a great dinner. I recommend the Pork chop, NY Strip, and Trout. Dinner on Ludlow is spectacular.
I attended a private event and while the hosts of the event made sure the atmosphere was great, the service was subpar. The bartenders tried their best to keep up, however, the drinks were not full. It’s not about the price as you expect to pay a decent price for a drink ($21 w/mandatory gratuity included) but the glass was not full.Another caveat, it was very muggy after a rain. There needs to be more air conditioning along with fans. Coupled with a full house, everyone was HOT. I was told that it was not sealed; when it rained, it rained outside. Also, is there wheelchair accessibility? There are a lot of stairs and no elevator access.
I came here for my friends bday party. The entrance was not difficult and they also provide coat checks. The dance floor is nice and also fun music. The drinks is also very tasty and order a lot. We also reserve a table and the guards are pretty strict not letting other people enter which is nice. The bathroom is terrible but overall a nice place for fun
I came here on a Friday night and the vibes were great. The drinks were descent and of course Manhattan priced, but the DJ and atmosphere made it worth while.I will say there are a ton of steps up to the roof so make sure you are prepared for that. I witnessed someone trip, but thankfully they or no one else was hurt.If you want to dance this is a great place. There are also VIP tables in the back.
Trendy hipster bar, but the food was great and the atmosphere was lively. I was there around 4 PM – things started to get a little busy, I’m sure it would be great for lunch and on a sunny day. Would definitely return.
I went last night for my birthday, got a table for 10, and the birthday bash bottle package. The music was great, space was beautiful!! The sliders were amazing. There was an issue with another customer coming into our section aggressively but it was handled amazingly by our server who i believe was paige. Price for the package was exactly what was listed. Definitely hope to go back!!
The decoration of this rooftop bar and restaurant is wonderful and amazing. Look classy from the first floor with tons of chandelier and as you go up until the rooftop is more casual but also very nice. I dont really pay much attention to food and service because I focus on party and entertainment. I dont have any problems about the service yet so this review just on my experience at this place.
Bartender on the 2nd floor refused to pour me fresh tap water, told me I could pour myself water from an open carafe that was sitting on the bar top all night….?Very strange, unsafe practice for a club. There are much better places in the area to party, with better bartenders!!Security on the line however 10/10 very professional and kept the crowd under control
Came here for my birthday last week. paid for the bottle service Birthday Bash not worth it! during this summer time VIP is not even worth the price. its too hot they dont provide fan in the VIP section, once youre seated and served they will never check on you again, all server ladies are not friendly. they will give the birthday service sign right away without you knowing, all groups with us that time complain and look for manager but cant be found. PLEASE PLEASE DONT COME HERE its good if you go for quick party but not in VIP/Bottle service NOT WORTH THE PRICE! its better to go in 230fifth rooftop bar cool and nicer.
The DL is hands down the BEST spot in NYC. Always make it a point to go there every Friday & Saturday night and each night never disappoints. Best atmosphere, best music and best people. If you haven’t, please make it a priority to check out the DL.
A great place if you know how to have fun. They also do events here with a little of this and that. I remember the Bolivian marching band I met in the bathroom once here. Came out a changed man. Hair slick backed, sweating like the Turkish baths. Never did get the fellows name who offered his wares.
Note: I contacted management via email and I have not recieved a response in over a week, so Ive decided to go ahead and share my experience here -We purchased a VIP package and spent $787 at the DL for Bliss days 2024, and we feel like we were scammed and treated like garbage by the DL staff. We had to hunt down servers to serve us and waited 3+ hours for food.Breakdown of Cost:We purchased a VIP Package for $197 VIP ticket+ $450 minimum + 20% gratuity + tax for a total cost of $787This is our 3rd time coming to this event, and this will be the last if it’s hosted at the DL again. Most of our issues were with the staff and service at DL.The package was a lie -Last year, we purchased a VIP table, which included an open bar from 2 to 4 p.m. and a free bottle with no minimum. This year, they didn’t let us in until 2:40, so happy hour was cut down to 1 hour and 20 minutes. It was not an open bar; they had 12 water-downed preselected drinks, half of which were not available, and there was no free bottle included. We were told that individually purchased drinks did not count towards the minimum and that it would not be brought to the table. That only bottle service (which started at $300) and food would count towards the minimum. So we decided to order a lot of food….to be told we can’t order food until 5:30 pm…. So we decide to dance from 4pm -5:30pm and then…….The staff gave our table away –We were given a yellow wristbands and were told that we could go dance and our table would be reserved. We came back, and people were sitting at our table. The staff didn’t believe us despite us sitting there for hours prior, showing our emailed tickets and our “special” yellow and teal wristbands. It wasn’t until a male guest sitting next to us assured the staff that it was our table that they believed us and gave us our table back.We came back to our table at 5:30 pm, and the servers served the other tables and have yet to come to us. After 45 minutes, I got up to find a server, the servers were standing in a corner on their phones, to ask for service. Our food did not come for another 1.5 hours, and they dropped the chicken lollipops (fine mistakes happen) and never brought our bucket of beer. Then, an hour later, I went to find a server (in the same corner) to let them know we were missing food and drinks…I had to prove to them that I ordered these items, and it took another 1.5 hours to get them. Did I mention that gratuity was mandatory? By the way the chicken lollipops were literally chicken tenders on lollipop sticks (see photos). We purchased a $30 bottle of Chandon for $150 bottle service. Not to mention those poor bottle girls look like they would rather die than be there. The plastic champagne glasses were foggy, scratched, and still had lipstick stains on them. In addition, the VIP tables and chairs were disgusting, stained, and dirty.
I havent a clue because security denied is entry, saying theres a footwear policy. Apparently, I need two straps on my sandals. He also claims we were late despite arriving an hour and a half before closing. Dont bother with that crowd. Take your money somewhere else. It was a girls birthday celebration that we took to the beach, we got to save our food and bottle money, but we were not able to retrieve the money we spent on skipping the line.
Such a vibe! The DJ was on point, food was great, drinks flowing. $65 for a brunch. Open bar for 2 hours. Felt like Sunday Rooftop before Covid 19. They have the necessary Covid precautions while you enjoy your time around people. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Will revisit throughout the summer months.
So my party of 13 and I had dinner here for my besties brida shower. The food was amazing, the service was really great and Thom was super responsive to all my emails and prep in the days leading up to our soirée.After dinner we made our way to the 2nd floor and rooftop. Such fun. The DJ’s on each floor played al the best music.Highly recommended
This is such a beautiful nightout spot! It doesnt seen much from outside but the 2nd and 3rd floor is all party. 2nd floor requires special access but the 3rd floor is an indoor roof top with all glass and glass high ceilings. The whole entire place has live plants hanging with trees and vines. It feels like I walked into a magical indoor garden. The DJ was amazing and the music was so good. Drinks are standard NY price. A great night out spot. Everything is so beautiful!
Promo said FREE shots before 11pm. Showed up at 10:35 pm, they did not honor it, gave us the runaround.DJ lost sound 5 times in like 90 minutes. Incredibly hot, incredibly disappointing
Bouncers are too extremely rude and old to be that strict with footwear. Men get in with the dirtiest of sneakers even though the website says no athletic wear. The footwear policy only seems to apply to women but as a young woman I wouldnt bother with this place. The crowd is as old as the geriatric bouncers they have screening the entrance.
Nothing quite compares to The DL it maintains its vibrant atmosphere just like it did 20 years ago. Its the only club that still embodies the old Lower East Side spirit and subculture vibe, where partygoers gather to celebrate the timeless essence of both new and old New York styles.

This wonderful establishment that has 3 floors of energizing music for everyone to do their typical 2 steps or act like that cool person who you would find on SoulTrain or purchase one of DL drinks and smooth talk that special person. Whatever you desire, you will have fun at this rooftop place. The place has a tropical look, so I am guessing it suppose to represent that summertime feel; it worked because I didnt realize it was drizzling outside. I know this place must be a wonderful place to visit during summer 2014, so I know I will be back soon.Today was a day for unexpected rain, but it is okay because Yelper knows how to party and represent a company the right way. Let dig deeper and explore this spot out. The staff is fantastic and makes awesome drinks that hard to refuse to get one more. What did they put in the drink? Man, I just dont know. If you are a smoker and you want to hang outside to smoke a Newport, I strongly recommend you to visit the 3rd floor where to enjoy the life of the party. IF you need that smoke break, there is a section for smokers too.The food tastes great and that I will not big up everywhere because no one can beat my mothers cooking. I took a bite into the mini cheeseburger, and boom, two hands already want to grab more. The spring rolls are wonderful too that I needed to know if I am in a Thai restaurant and not at a party. Checking, checking... Nope, it is the DL spot! One more drink please, I love this place. The staff are quite helpful and look to answer any questions you may have. So do not get shy now, because if you are, go grab another drink and come back once you see rainbow-colored flowers. We trying to get twisted, sing Bob Marley songs, and yelp! How would I rate this place:I would rate this place 10/10 base on todays event. They dont have a cover charge, which can be better than that! We are jamming!
Bouncer turned me away for platform shoes that were never mentioned on the website as not allowed meanwhile the line of men next to me all got in with dirty sneakers. Bouncer said “how else would they get in without dirty shoes.” whatever that means
My night ruined by some rude despicable staff. The bouncer at the entry is just the rudest. Instead of worrying about or interacting the customers and get drinks out I saw drinking behind the bar. Bartenders were extremely rude acting without a care in the world for me. Im just trying to enjoy my time out and have a good time. But if this is how this place is going to be i will not be returning.Management certainly needs to address this.
Went back here this past weekend. The vibe was different. The bartenders were extremely rude and I saw them drinking behind the bar, the drinks they made were horrible and watered down. They paid little attention to us. Definitely showed us they weren’t interested in our business. Very unlike the last time we went. Me and my large group won’t be going back ever again.
Nice venue, not very big, but its nice. Outside area for smoking.
When I saw the negative comments here, I was stuck between whether or not, but we finally made our decision... we went there for 3 people for the beginning of the years night, we paid at the door for the entrance and the open bar. The employees were friendly and they were sincere, the atmosphere was very good, the atmosphere on each floor is different, different music! It was just a little too crowded because of the beginning of the year.
I reserved a party of 10, 4 days prior to the day of my Birthday. I spoke to one of the two people that reserve for parties that large. Once I called, the gentleman had a rude attitude but I can understand that maybe he was having a rough day. I stated to him that pusld states that you can bring as many vouchers as you want for larger groups.Well, when I called the DL, they stated the complete opposite. The gentleman was very rude to me as I was simply stating that its false advertising. He told me my only offer was a pre-fix meal for my group of 10, which was still a really great price, but it had nothing to do with the pusld voucher. Im sure they use this to suck in people and its false advertising because they are not in agreement with the terms on pusld.Im normally not a voucher person myself, but it was convenient considering the entire day I had planned for everyone. I dine at some of the best restaurants in NYC, and I never spend under $100.00 for my plate personally. I appreciate fine dinning... which brings me to the next situation this guy presented me with.......I received an email of the dress code, not once but 2 times and the second was in bold red letters. I was shocked in receiving this, I wouldnt consider this a classy restaurant, just a bit trendy for younger kids. Also, Ive never owned construction boots in my life, nor have I hung with people that wear caps, white tees, and etc. Its just not my taste in clothing nor my friends...however I was truly offended and stunned. Sending the email once was no problem, but the second time in red bold letters was unacceptable to me. I didnt say anything because Im not that type of woman. I wanted my day to go well without any problems. It was well until my food came out...lol. I ordered a medium duck, I received a well done duck. Again I dine in fine restaurants this was just a convenient location; so I know what a medium duck should look, cut and taste like. I stated that my duck was well done, and I even apologized. Im sorry I asked for medium, the young lady just stood there in front of me. I then proceeded to say that I would, but Ive never eaten a well done duck as she still proceed to hold the plate in front of me. Eventually I just said to her is there anyway I can get the correct order of a medium duck.At this time, Im the birthday girl and everyone is eating enjoying their meals. The young lady still holding the plate suggested it would take another half a hour to fire up another duck. I said to her that is no problem I can wait. She left with the well done duck. Less than 15 min later a gentleman comes out of the kitchen with a duck ..he yelled medium duck, I was excited my food was finally here! I saw the cut on the duck in the middle, the meat was white, I attempted to cut the duck.. it was so tough, cold, flaky, dry and white all the way through. The guy quickly ran off, I quickly realized it was the same duck. I waited 10 more minutes for someone to come around to our table and explained/showed to the young lady how it was impossible to eat. Im sorry, the duck is well done, not medium.....please help me!At this time everyone was done eating, waiting for me the birthday girl to receive her food. Finally, a duck appeared 20 minutes later, and it was medium! I cut it, and it was like butter, the smell was great, the skin coating was hot and crisp.......drumroll to the pink in the middle. The taste, sweet like any duck should be....I wasnt sure if they did anything else to it...hint hint...but I just prayed.Overall I am not a mean person and Im a great trooper, I simply wanted a good experience and this was eehhh. The greatest part were my friends! Will I ever dine in DL again, no.
Bouncer dude wouldn’t let us in even though we had tickets cause we were 5 dudes. Don’t go here. Many others dope places.
DJ Dippa absolutely sucks and plays the same 6 songs and doesnt know how to transition. Please hire better DJ talent there’s so many local to NYC
So I just went here last night and ordered drinks only to find later that the bar tender added their own tip even after I handed them money in cash. Recommendation being cash cause they’ll scam
Probably my third time giving this place a try and i must say every single time my experience has been absolutely unacceptable. The first time coming here they denied us entry because my friend was wearing jeans while the same bouncer was letting other people in right in front of us with jeans. Biased maybe but we’ll overlook it. The second time we came our friend had a table and the same bouncer would not let us in and forced us to buy our own table despite the club being completely dead. An absolute blasphemy of an experience despite us willing to pay top dollar for some decent treatment but being forced and pressured otherwise. i literally will not write a bad review EVER but tonight was the third strike. THIS SAME BOUNCER has the audacity to disrespect myself and my friends on our outfits when he himself is wearing an outfit unfit to represent the atmosphere the club is “trying” to promote. This bouncer was trying to charge us a $60 cover fee while letting the people behind us come in for free right before my eyes. Ill pay whatever price if necessary but when its like that blatantly unfair right in front of me i need to speak up. I expressed that i was more than willing to pay more than the cover fee to have a good night but instead i was met with “i cut a deal outside so because of that im getting kicked out.” Treat people like actual human beings. I didnt come out to have my night ruined by some rude despicable staff that have no regard for any type of decency in treating people for just trying to have a good time. In no way was i ever disrespectful. Management certainly needs to address this. I strongly advise anybody coming to this establishment to beware of this specific bouncer who seems explicitly hostile against people he thinks he can take advantage of. If the management wants to contact me to address this issue please do.
AirPod got stolen by someone working at the bar, the owner is extremely rude to patron. Do not recommend.
The place is cool but I was so turned off that after ordering $20 drinks I asked for a cup of water to chug to stay hydrated between drinks and they refused. Said they aren’t allowed I can only buy an expensive bottle of water. Bad money grab.
Went on Saturday, Dec 23, so maybe my experience wasnt the norm, but it just wasnt the vibe for me. The music was so outdated (2000s-2010s). Only the top floor and rooftop terrace were open. Drinks were so watered down, and they were still charging nearly $20 per drink. There were noticeably sus guys there too, so thats something to consider (dont go alone ladies!). The only thing going for this place are the decor and the nice staff. Probably wont come back.
Bouncers were insanely rude to both me and my friends and extorted money off the both of us. Don’t recommend this place at all.
They wont serve you tap water, search you thoroughly, and even have at least one BATHROOM SINK GUARD so youre forced to buy their overpriced bottled water. I bet they close the outside area when its raining in case anyone would drink rain water too.I encourage you to bring in some wet shirts so you can wring them out over your mouth. Quick, before they catch on to that too!Music: Mostly bad pop and old hitsScenery: Great on 3rd floorGets overcrowded.
I’ve been to the DL a couple of times, but my 3rd time there absolutely ruined my perception of this place, their management and their service. I came here in early December with a large group of my friends to continue my birthday celebration. The bouncers let a few of my friends in first. Then, they proceeded to let in a group of white guys who were wearing hats. However, when another set of my guy friends, who are Black, tried to enter, they proceeded to say they needed to take their hats off and pay to check the hats. I’ve never heard of an establishment where they make you pay, I believe $10 or up, to check a hat. When my guy friends called out that they let the white group in without making them check their hats, the bouncers and management tried to make a scene and even threatened to call the cops on my friends for being upset. It is completely inexcusable, they made my friends extremely upset & ruined my birthday. They will never receive another dime from me, and the vibes inside aren’t even that great to begin with.
Food took FOREVER TO COME BUT IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT !
Terrible place! My boyfriend and I were going in when it opened to have a drink since it was birthday. It opened at 5:30 and we went in around 5:45 and they just stared at us. The Bouncer tried squaring up to my boyfriend and was asking what his problem was because we just walked in thinking it was a regular restaurant. We were very confused and stated we just wanted to eat and get drinks. He then said “that’s fine I just want to know what his problem is”, as there was no problem from the beginning as we just wanted FOOD AND DRINKS. We didn’t even know it was a lounge or club as we were just wanting to sit at the bar that is on the first floor to relax since we were walking all day. At this time my boyfriend asked the manager that was staring and watching the whole thing if we could just sit at the bar and grab a drink and appetizer, but I was already so turned off by the fist initial greeting we decided to leave. If I could give 0 stars I would. The disrespect that was shown and none of the other workers/managers saying anything was very disappointing.I never write reviews but this is one that needed to be put out there. Do better, and treat people better.
Good place for a quick drink. Nice rooftop atmosphere and upstairs area to go out and take a breather maybe smoke if you want come back inside and dance.
Personally not for me. The place itself was very pretty inside but all the music was from 2015. I could hear the sound of people talking over the music. The bathrooms were actually ok and somewhat clean. Idk maybe it wasn’t the right vibe FOR ME but I didn’t have a good experience because of the scene. This isn’t really the fun dancing place I hoped it would be
This place was garbage I went and paid to see some dancers there that are fairly famous and the show was unorganized and it sucked theres a bunch of 20 year old drunk and getting high all night I emailed like five times asking what the dress code was if we could wear sneakers and they acted like they were upscale talking about you needed to dress really up and wear no sneakers and t-shirts with words on it as soon as I walk in all I see is a bunch of bum kids with t-shirts and sneakers on I wasnt happy I wouldnt recommend this place to anybody I asked about VIP and they told me it was $2,000 when I got the place they told me it was $250 these people have bad management. Not sure why anybody would want to perform there
Perfect place to dance and for private events like birthday celebrations. Private areas are spacious and servers are attentive. They made sure chasers were refilled as soon as they were empty. Three floors of a club and a large dance floor located on the third floor. Music and crowds get better as time goes on.
I attended Jardin de Reggaeton event by Three Day Weekend! I loved and enjoyed the music very much. Although, it got packed very quickly. Drinks were good, and the ambient was excellent. We will definitely be back for another of their events.
That free guest list is fake. That is their way of getting you to pay 60 dollars to get in. Head of security is fake as well as the security guard letting you in is not a security guard as he said. Dont waste yor time
Now.... I came to eat and then party but it was early atcthe DL to party lol....The secure is beautiful FIRST OFF!!! Yall ladies was BOMB and security they was cute lol....This is 3 floors ....Downstairs is where you done and they have a really cute bar. The velvet and colors with the crystal chandeliers gives it a little sexy sexy too it.I got the STINGER cocktail & 2 glasses had me feeling it okkkk Maybe 3 lol.....The appetizers was okay! The chicken on the stick 3/5 great coating but really no chicken was inside lol the spicy sauce was good too.The shrimp tempura 2/5 too much batter the shrimp was good tho but I think a tweak on this recipe wont hurt....Guacamole was 3/5 need more authentication to it I guess but the chips were okay...Entree: 1/5 My steak was not tender and I ordered a medium.... fries were fried great but the sauce also was not great tasting. If the menu is updated Im coming back to try cause i really enjoyed myself overall!!!
4 stars cause they charged my man $60 for wearing ripped jeans, it didn’t state that on the website and they didn’t care to give me an explanation about that.Nonetheless the music was great.A promoter was really nice and letting us cut the line without paying some kind of fee.The drinks were watered down as well.
Would give it ZERO stars if i would. went here for pride with a VIP table and everything (which said included a free bottle) i get there and they want us to pay $100 for a bottle we were told we would get (i already paid a ton for the table) and then RUDELY moved us exactly at 4pm claiming we only had the table until then, even tho on the ticket is said all day. dj was awful and only played loud and tacky rap music and the acoustics suck. whole thing is run poorly and chaotic and it ruined my pride day. i would appreciate a refund but have zero expectations from them at this point. also the drinks are overpriced and watered down
Had a very strange experience with the bouncers here. It’s basically like what the other 1 star reviews say. Bouncers are expected to act a bit tough I guess, but being rude to customers seems like a strange business model? Anyways I just went somewhere else instead. I don’t think they care because they seem to funnel people in despite it not being a popular place for locals to return to. I doubt they will try to improve anything, so don’t be surprised if the same thing happens to you.
I wish i could give this place a zero. The bouncer at the entry is just the rudest one i have seen in a long time. He let some guys ahead of me go in in tank tops, because he said, ‘imma let you in cuz you are with this lady.’ And when i got to the front, he just made me step out of the line to the side because i was in a sleeveless shirt. I get there is a dress code that i wasn’t aware of, but he could have asked nicely. Also i disliked the double standards because he did let someone in just because he was with a lady that this bouncer wanted to be ‘nice’ to.Advice - wear a sleeved shirt and go to another bar. Or don’t wear a sleeved shirt and go to another bar.
Terrible experience. had friends there last night and multiple girls were hit in faces and body. Security was trash, standing there doing absolutely nothing. My life and multiple people’s life were in danger that night. Do not come here unless ur willing to risk ur life by some trashy club.
One star for G who really tried to help. Walked in with a group of 7, 45 mins before close and was told not worth buying a table and we could sit wherever there was seats - it was EMPTY. Maybe like 10 ppl max (Saturday Night) in the venue. “Manager” gave us a hard time about sitting in the empty seating areas. We left. Very rude and condescending. We were probably there 10 mins. Group was prepared to order drinks on a tab (was communicated at front door) and instead was very turned off by the service and experience. Never returning again.
A sleazy place. Charged me $60 “bar tab cover” because I had a rip in my jeans due to “dress code” Meanwhile, I was dressed better than 90% of the college students in there who had shorts on. Not a classy place whatsoever. They just pick random people out of the line to randomly charge, should be ILLEGAL. Also a pretentious staff. Typical gouging. Go to the better spots in the area
Had an amazing time here. There was a line to get in we got there after 11 pm, we were a large group and were accommodated quickly and skipped the whole line haha. Paid like $500 or $600 to get in but that came with drinking tickets, came out to about 40 per person. Dance floor was crowded but the vibe was right. Music was great , a little bit of everything. I love to dance and here I danced the entire night.
The place is one of the best place in NYC for night outings. Usually the DJ is good too as well. There are two different floors from and a smoking area right outside the Rooftop. Was very satisfied with the out come, they pack it in there. At midnight the place is so crowded and enjoyable. Drinks and average quality and pricy as expected from a NYC Best Rooftop Lounge.
Went here for a friends birthday, their rooftop lounge is enclosed and good for a party. They have tables in the back next to the DJ which are amazing. The vibe is tropical with all the plants they have in there, so feels special in NYC.
$60 covers to get in, which was not worth. They had dance floors on both the second floor and the rooftop. There was a nice breeze when we were on the rooftop floor from the open rooftop. The place was quite crowded when we went on a Saturday night. I wasnt a huge fan of the music, as there werent a lot of songs I recognized and the music felt hard to dance to.
I don’t write reviews about anything but the vibes and my time here last night was something i wouldn’t want anyone else to experience or spend money on. Genuinely, the worst club i’ve ever been to in NYC. The drinks were cheaper than most other clubs, but the crowd was terrible. Just a bunch of dudes looking at the girls here like they were cheeseburgers or something. You’ll see guys leaning up against the bar like they’re on the bench waiting to be put into the game. Every time i accompanied my girlfriend to the bar or bathroom without fail a handful of older men would try to touch or say something to her with me inches away— didn’t even feel like there was actual human beings in here. We knew it was time to call it a night when the last time trying to get through the crowd to our group I had to grab my girlfriends arm out of a random man’s grip. Seriously terrible, they need to be more particular about who they let in here, really just feels like every bro from Jersey City took the train and got off at the line for this club for whatever reason— so if that’s your crowd, go have a blast.
Food was super mid, nothing tasted particularly good and the restaurant was utterly deserted (albeit, it was a Thursday night). Came with a pulsed coupon to find every cocktail more than the coupon value and all but two of the entrees. Would have loved to check on this before but the Google photos menu is totally out of date and the website information is non-existent. A lesson in voucher dining and plenty of good reasons to not bother coming here again.
Bouncers (2 of them working friday night) are extremely rude/unprofessional & on a power trip. took my (23 y/o) ID & refused to let me in even though i’m well over age. refused to even scan it & kept being rude to me & my boyfriend. i had to call the cops to get them to scan it in front of them but they got an even bigger power trip after i mentioned that. kept saying that i shouldn’t have called the cops (to literally scan my ID AND do these bouncer’s job for them since they refused to do it in the first place- i’m suspecting they knew it was real too but wanted to harass us for some reason) because now there’s NO way they’ll let me in. our friend had to pay them extra to stop harassing us & let us in- all OF AGE AND paid for tickets that night.absolutely terrible treatment by these bouncers.
Possibly the worst club Ive been to around the world. I tried to look at this objectively since the music and drinks were mid, so that was alright, but the overall vibe of the staff and the bartenders was so incredibly wack -without any sort of provocation - that I will never even be getting close to this establishment. I literally ENTERED the building, and I guess I reminded them of someone they didnt like or something but they threatened to call the police on me. Like, literally didnt even open my mouth. Crazy stuff. Ended up fine but it was wack.
The food was great, in regards to drinks only had rum punch it was good. Other than that issues I had was: coed bathroom, menu not what was advertised, brunch didnt start on time, they seemed confused during check in process, had to walk up to many stairs to get to roof (no elevator access) and on the promotion says birthday person free bottle of champagne and when we get there they said its for group of 10! Not cool. But its a nice spot.
DO NOT COME HERE! A fight broke out last night and security did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! People hurriedly exited the club because of the fight and it was CHAOS!! My fried got pushed and bust her head open😒! The negligence of management was absolutely through the roof!!
Met up with a friend in the city yesterday and we wanted to have a drink on a rooftop and grab something to eat. Decided to come here, and immediately regretted it. We walked in and we’re the only two customers in the entire building. The man that greeted us claimed to be the owner (not sure if he actually was), and was friendly at first but immediately turned to creepy. He did not have a concept of personal space, he was extremely touchy, he sniffed my hair several times, he attempted to kiss my friend, and would just not leave us alone despite us telling him to stop. He seemed to be super drunk, or under the influence of something, slurring words, making no sense, and just being overall creepy. He also dropped racial slurs multiple times while talking to us, despite being a white man. We eventually found another employee and explained to him how uncomfortable we were, and he escorted us away from the owner and out to the street. We didn’t even wait for our food or drinks because of how badly we wanted to get out of there. I don’t recommend this bar to anyone, especially young girls or people of different races. Big shoutout to that other employee that helped us though, he was the only good part of our short time here.
This place is the worst place ever to go out in nyc. The bouncers are rude (Carlos and other man that works on Friday night- wasn’t able to get his name because he wouldn’t speak to me). Both were super rude to me and my friends and we all paid for tickets to see a concert this night . They are irrational and would not even speak to me (but would speak to my guy friend). Don’t go here!!
The black man who may be the manager whoever he is, is ignorant and bigoted to his own people. He didn’t let my friend in a black woman in because she had flats on, then proceeded to let a number of white women who had strappy flat backless sandals on. He spoke over her, didn’t even let her speak. Basically trying to put on a show. I have never been treated such away at any club, and I am truly disgusted that this stuff is still happening in 2023, of course by Black people we live in New York at completely diverse environment and to treat people like this is a level of disgusting is not fathomable. Black people, and even people of color DO NOT COME HERE THE STAFF IS DISGUSTING.
If you’re looking for a bad time look no further. The bouncers are rude management is terrible, drinks are not worth it. The vibes are not really fun everyone is standing around. I’ve tried to give this chance a place and every time it was nothing but a huge disappointment. You know it’s bad when you’re waiting in line and you see crowds of people telling you not to go in, and also women crying and being miss treated by staff members with a god complex. in the span of 15 to 20 minutes multiple fights broke out it’s a little ridiculous. and it’s usually between staff members and customers. There’s so many places to go out in New York, dont waste your time here
No regard for human decency. Charged 5$ for a single water bottle for my friend that was throwing up her brains out in the bathroom. Called EMT and she was required hospitalization.
Multiple of my friends attended and left with bloody noses and bruises after a fight broke out. Do not attended this club if you don’t want to leave bruised and battered while security does absolutely nothing.
Great atmosphere, decent food wit some different changes in menu they could adjust, DJ is on point, drinks is too expensive to be watery, fountain orange juice is horrible for drinks and they need wristbands for reentry being it cost 20 and balcony can become overcrowded. Also need better wine selection lite pinto grigio.
Wasnt great. Coat check thinks they are working at the federal reserve vault. The security guards were being to invasive and the one who looks like he has tupee kept flashing his flashlight at people while in bar. There was another security guard who is thin and looks very young working outside looking to get in fights with people on the sidewalk for no reason. Also it appeared that people of color were not allowed in bar and were pulled out of line and told to leave.
The place is good. Usually the DJ is good too. There are two floors to choose from and a smoking area right outside. Only problem, they pack it in there. By 12 there are so many people that you can barely move. Drinks and average quality and pricy as expected from a NYC club.
WARNING: Please DO NOT pre-order tickets. You will be forced to wait in line and buy $100 worth of tabs regardless of your ticket. Then the doormen will still try to harass you to let you cut the line. The atmosphere and music is okay, but they overcrowd the place. Overall i would not recommend this place as there are much better alternatives in the area.
This venue certainly delivered a fun night of partying, 2 dance floors with different vibes, nice decor, great crowd. Only problem was the complete lack of ventilation/air flow which resulted in me testing positive for covid-19 shortly after; we were basically inhaling peoples breath and sweat all night. You can party in Vegas with more people and less risk. So yeah, party here at your own risk.
Will never be going to this place again. From entitled bounces who do anything they can to be unwelcoming to the people trying to go to the club to being kicked out for being too drunk when everyone else in the club was equally as tipsy as I, and the person outside the club denying that I was kicked out due to racist managers as a person of color himself (when me the supposed drunk person was making an argument about systemic racism and how it perpetuates in club culture), propagating this vicious cycle. Terrible experience overall
A $60 cover charge for wearing SPECIFIC TYPES of boots instead of ALL BOOTS is silly. Literally two of my white friends who went in with doc martins and black metallic platform boots were able to get in FOR FREE without being patted down or given a second glance. Meanwhile me a black man needs to be pat down (THOROUGHLY) and forced to pay a $60 COVER CHARGE for wearing timberlands in order to enter. Really felt the behavior the night of the St. Patrick’s day event was uncalled for and definitely don’t plan on coming back here. Come at your own discretion my fellow people of color.
$60 cover gets you entry along with 3 drinks. DJ on the 2nd floor should really be moved to the top, as the DJ on the roof played nothing but beats and garbage Music (other people there agreed on this). 2nd floor DJ way better. Pretty big spot and I did like it but the $60 was too much considering the Music sucked on the main floor. Overall had a good time but would rather go to other clubs in the area with cheaper/no cover that are a bit smaller but have better music.
Definitely cool vibes. Definitely for the younger crowd, but if you are older and you just want to chill and listen to some vibes they have free seating downstairs with a bar you can enjoy. If you want to party then pay the cover and go on up and have a good time. The hostess downstairs where you pay was not the friendliest, but everyone has their days, maybe the day we went just wasnt hers.
One of the worst rooftop clubs you can go to in NY. The bouncers and management are rude, unprofessional and racist. They even broke my friends nose while we were leaving, and the cops had to be called to intervene. This place is always overrun by cops due to issues between management and customers. Other reviews clearly say so as well, should have read them before going to DL.The drinks are watered down and weak, and the place always looks sketchy. Restrooms are run down and they look like a post-apocalyptic scene. There are much better rooftop bars like Somewhere Nowhere, 230 on 5th, Le Bain, etc. that are not only upscale but have a good team of professionals. You can probably have a better time at the above joints, for the same price.
The absolute worst service I have ever had. We reserved a table for 20 people, and it took one hour for the bottle service to arrive. The entire staff was consistently aggressive and rude. They would not let one member of our group in because they rejected his real ID and refused to recheck it. They also threatened to kick us out for asking them to recheck it (one time…so pleasant) Would recommend any other bar in NY to spend your money at.
This place is so sexist fr, my friend and I weren’t wearing mini skirts so we didn’t “meet the dress code”. They only cared because we were girls, honestly skip this place if you want to have a fun night.
The worst, stay away from that club! We were part of a pub crawl and generally foreign IDs were simply not accepted without given logical explanation. Highly discriminating and disrespectful towards tourists, almost racist behaviour! Other pubs and club we have been to, had no problem with us and were welcoming and warm. Not that one though
If you are a bald guy who wears a hat prepare to pay the bald guy tax to get in. Had to give up my hat (like a girl forced to give up makeup) only to find 20+ guys wearing hats inside. Could not recommend less.
One of the worst experience of my life. I would give 0 stars if possible. I am 21 years old. While the bouncer was checking my REAL ID, he bent it in half and told me it was fake, although I had just gone to the DMV 2 months before to get this license. A man, who was part of the staff, then came over and was extremely rude to me and told me to call the cops to get it back. Since it was my actual license, I did just that. After the cops arrived, the man continued to insist that my ID was fake and even threatened to call in another guy to verify his hypothesis even as I stood there with the police. Despite my cooperation, he was beyond rude to me AND the cops while trying to prove us wrong. I eventually got my ID back after I showed him multiple forms of identification. Overall, the staff was extremely rude and obviously do not know the difference between a fake and a real ID. I understand that they have to be on the look out for fake IDs but they went above and beyond with their levels of belligerence and hostility toward me as a young woman, and reached levels of rudeness that were both unnecessary and excessive. I do not recommend for anyone.
We were there Saturday night for an engagement party. From the bouncers to the hostess to bartenders, the staff couldnt have been better. Great job!
Won’t stop spamming my phone every day with ads. Don’t do business with a place like this
Pretty cool atmosphere, drinks were fairly priced compared to most other spots, music was good, only downside was that it was a little small and everyone uses the same bathroom.
No covid precautions. Food was horrible. I got 3 mini sliders on Hawaiian buns and less fries than you get from $1 fries at McDonald’s. I paid $45 + tax for brunch at the door and $5 reservation online and they had no where for us to sit. We got set up on wooden tables 😕 Great party scene drinks were good.
Cool place with multiple floors, great bars, music, dancing, and an outside roof patio. Very pricey though. If you didnt have tickets (never explained how to get them), then you could do a bar tab to get in. The guy said $50 per person, so $200 for our group. He then added it would be 8 drinks. Based on the convo it came as a surprise that it was only 8 drinks for all of us and not per person (we assumed bottom shelf). This place was nice, but $50 to get in with only 2 drinks is not worth it. We are in the age of post Covid, covers should be disappearing, not multiplying. I had more fun dancing outside the bar on the sidewalk with girls than inside on the crowded dance floor. Does DL stand for Disappointing Lounge?
Amazing drinks with great views.
The place is gorgeous to look at.......once youre inside. If you are a cognac sipper this is NOT the place for you. They have tons of whiskey and if that is your thing then you will be pleased. No mint leaves so they dont make mojitos. The bartender was kind of boring and what he suggested once I told him what I liked was not appealing. At all. It was only 5 people in the spot and I felt like the bartender would much rather continue his conversation with two gorgeous women who were staff and a gentleman I assumed was the manager. The sweet potato fries were great and the wings were alright. But the real kicker was the bill. For 2 drinks, fries and wings the bartender gave us the wrong bill which was over $100.When they do something more with that bar and get a better bartender I may go back. But its highly unlikely.Tons of dope spots on the Lower East Side, for me this aint one of them.
Went here for a friends birthday party at 8pm (not my choice). They wouldnt serve any water that wasnt overpriced bottled water.
This is probably one of the worst places I’ve ever gone. I bought tickets for an event and upon arriving to the venue, a large crowd of frat kids began cutting everyone in the line and it was apparently tolerated because they paid for tables. Everyone that had been there prior had to wait in line for 45 minutes while these obnoxious kids were prioritized. The vibe was basically equivalent to a giant frat party with 90% of the crowd being men and the people that worked there were rude. If you’re a person of color, don’t even bother going here unless you book a table and have a large amount of guests coming with you, because I promise you’ll feel uncomfortable otherwise. I’ve never gone to a worse place in LES on a Friday night. Not worth the money even in the slightest.
I just love the vibe of the place. Every time I go it just so relaxing . They have a house drink call the DL its so fresh and refreshing. If you want to nibble order the steak and truffle fries. So yummy. It three levels they do parties and different events also. The host is cute and young and very warm. So when you go make sure to tip. Its well deserved.
I was having a great experience for the fourth of july event i paid tickets for. Long wait but seemed worth it. About an hour in I wanted to step outside & saw many people leave and come back in. We asked two bouncers if we left, would we be able to enter again and they said of course. Left for not even 10 minutes and suddenly a male bouncer isn’t letting me in because of my yeezy sandals, calling them “house shoes”, which i find discriminatory considering i saw many sandals more flat than mine. Then it goes from my shoes being a problem to all of a sudden there’s no re-entry. I will never come here again and had way more fun next door at the oyster bar.
Pretty shnazzy bar! I believe there are 4 floors.. definitely at least 3! The top floor has a rooftop that can open, weather permitting... So cool! Always clean too! The food on the ground level smells amazing too... bartenders always seem professional and friendly...overall I highly recommend this bar/venue for a slightly more upscale environment
Terrible service. The waitress was not attentive. We were to be seated at 3. We were seated close to 3:30. We got in and did not receive our food orders until the last 30 mins of our 2 hour reservation. Then they had the AUDACITY TO OPEN THE SUNROOF on a 40 degree day. The wind was blowing and we were FREEZING. I asked to speak to manager and no manager came to our table. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend.
Absolute joke of an establishment. Some rando in a busted Patagonia standing outside claimed to be the owner, just staring with people on line. Got upset because I asked him a question regarding how the table service works and if there are different lines for people paying for a table. Told me and my friends to get out of line and take a walk, funny part is we were on the sidewalk and not even on line. You dont own public property. If he actually is the owner, what a joke. Probably compensating for his much lower than average manhood. Would not recommend.
Great time. Definitely would go back❤️
I choose there to go for my birthday, I had a great time with my girls. An the free champagne given was the bomb, it tasted good, have me searching liquor store for it now. Little downside the mimosas wasnt flowing as it should.
This was my second time visiting this venue, the first time I came here was for a silent party that had a free RSVP option. However, 3 hours after the party was slated to start, the headphones were not set up. Once the headphones were set up, they then informed patrons that to use the headphones was a few and the fee would increase within the next 20 mins and there were not that many individuals in attendance to the event. My second visit was much more fruitful and I was able to enjoy the venue. Its a wonderful rooftop once you get past all of the stairs that you have to climb.
This place has multiple levels with different genres of music to please all guests. The crowd is always fun-seeking and the music is fantastic. I love the space and decor (lawn chairs and palm trees, couches, neon lights, fireplace on the big screen). Love coming here!
This place is an embarrassment from the bouncers to the staff all the way up to the management. Not to mention the drinks are overly priced and VERY weak. The place is very dirty also and I actually saw a cockroach in the establishment. They pull people out of line that fit their standers while a lot of the people that represent their name are nothing to smile about. To say the least I would never ever again come here. Youre better off heading somewhere else. Dont give your money to this kind of establishment. If I could give it no stars I would.I mean just look at all the bad reviews not only on here but on YELP too. This place is a dump.
Nice bar with good drinks and food. The music choice was nice! Had some good variety including Linkin Park every once in a while. Very festive when you get to the roof top!
The night life there is awesome…. Fellas, The ladies there are good vibes and look amazing !!!! 3 floors of flavors lol. Can’t wait to go back with my guys. The security helped me find my phone when he didn’t have to at all, his name was Misso. Great Staff, Great Drinks & GREAT MUSIC !!!!
We only went here to party. Did not have any food. There are three levels of music. Of course the top level playing hip hop was the most crowded. Extremely hard to move around. Seems like a pretty upscale place though. The only reason I would not give it anymore stars is because they charge $14 for a premium mixed drink (Jack and Coke for example) in a tiny plastic glass. Really?!? That is insane.
So this was a horrible experience. The hostess and manager were telling us to leave before we even got in. they did not care. They were offering refunds before trying to even offer the services promised. We paid for a 2 hour open bar thats was offered from 6-10 pm and then they told us oh no it only goes till 8:30 and NO ONE was wearing their masks and therewas definitely not 6 ft between tables. People were all over us without masks and when we approached the front desk she dismissed us saying it was a brunch and we were being ridiculous not letting her talk. Overall a horrible experience we left as soon as we could. DO NOT COME HERE!
Went for my birthday, music was really good, seating was available at times and bathroom was not overly crowded. Both floors though, extremely crowded like couldnt breathe and could barely walk. My friends and I mostly danced while sitting down as a result.
$32 for 1 glass of rum and coke is an absolute scam. The price is absolutely ridiculous. I won’t recommend here to get in the mood.
Great great space, my gosh, would be great to shoot TV or film in or hire for big events. I went to a private event on the top floor, which had a glass roof, it had kind of a roof top, club vibe. Drinks were good, bartenders friendly. BUT they do not accommodate food to be served on the top floor, yet food is served on the other two. DJ was cool too.
The DL is an awesome place! I came here for a Valentines Day singles party hosted by NY Minute Dating and had the greatest time of my life. Its a rooftop bar with palm trees, a nice sized dance floor next to the DJ booth, and great/fast bartenders. The bar area was packed but I never had a problem getting my drinks quickly. That was a HUGE plus. Not sure what the regular crowd is like on weekends, as I am sure it depends who is promoting the event, but I had an awesome Valentines Day (which fell on Tuesday this year).
Its a cool place to relax or party at depending on your mood. My night started on the first floor eith house music, no one dances there really, theres a bar and other tables to sit at. The second floor is definitely for lounging. You can either sit and enjoy the music or dance your life away. The rooftop is pretty cool but theres only one area to sit which is on the balcony area. This floor is much more club like. Very nice setting though. The service was wasnt bad at all; was serviced pretty quickly on every floor despite whether there was a crowd around the bar or not.
Best frozen coffee Ive ever had. Had the pesto bagel, so delicious. The service was excellent: fast, attentive, friendly. Location is perfect right off the train station. Ambiance is very nice also. :) highly recommend this little gem.
Pretty average bar atmosphere. It has 2 main floors and there is an open feel on the top floor since there are a lot of windows and even a small outdoor space (mostly for smokers). Still, there is nothing about this space that is trendy or fun and they pull all the tricks, like cranking up the music so you have to scream instead of talk making you need to drink more.
Went for a day party on a Saturday on the rooftop. Nice spot with the levels but the floor on the rooftop feels like it will cave in at any point from the dancing. You can feel it wobbling below your feet. Its scary because it doesnt feel sturdy. My biggest problem with this place is the lack of visible security. During a dance party, I want to see security around making sure everyone is safe and having a good time. Another issue is that they let people smoke in there. No security around to notice or stop it. I hate second hand smoke and had to deal with it the whole time.
My sis got denied entry to a restuarant in NYC called the DL because of her ethnicity. the staff were being racist to her and now she’s breaking down.
Door guard stands at the entrance and insults each guests Drivers License picture as they come in. Dont know if this is a litmus test to avoid letting in super intoxicated people, but were talking about a place that goes one by one calling women ugly or men pedophiles. Yes, really. The short fat balding man handling the licenses and unable to sense irony probably shouldnt be commenting but does. This ruined my evening before it even started with as part of a group that paid over $700(and still had to stand in a queue!) for some highly claustrophobic reserved seats on the top floor.Drinks are over priced. Top floor everyone was standing around like zombies instead of dancing.Incredibly negative experience -- dont understand the appeal. Would never go back to a place like this in a million years but know theres many young adults to tap money from and piss off before The DL goes out of business. Spend your money elsewhere.
Great place to visit! The drinks are as good as the vibe! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to go to a top club in the city!
Water down cocktails , arrogant staff and security - tasteless food and one of the worst djs i’ve seen in my life. The place used to be really good , don’t know if management has changed but the way its run nowadays leaves you with a “why did i ever decided to spend my money here” kind of after feeling.NY is a city full of amazing bars , this one here ain’t it - don’t waste your money or time here - specially if you are looking to have a great time ; this place will give you the complete oposite.
The first floor is nice classy bar and table seating for the restaurant. The top floor is a partially covered rooftop (no views tho , its not at a level you can look down or over to get a view) that hosts parties often. I would be back for the 1st floor bar but the rooftop , no as its not able to give you any scenery .
Went on a Friday night. Two floors to party. The drinks were good. Crowd is not extremely diverse. The second floor is more for Caribbean music. The top floor is more rap and pop. You just have to pick which floor you want to party on based on vibe and music. Coat check is not free fyi.
I was at the DL Rooftop last night as last stop of the NY pub crawl I was part of. Around 2:30am, I was in the outside fenced area helping out a very drunk girl, who did not live in NY and that wanted to go back to her hotel in Queens. I was booking an uber for her whilst holding a beer in my other hand doing no harm to anyone, suddenly the security guy came to me and told me to go back inside. I explained to him that I was going to go back inside once I had booked the uber for this girl, but he wasnt having it. He took my beer out of my hand and walked off. Fair enough, I understand here in NYC the alcohol policies are very strict. I quickly got over the fact that my very expensive beer got thrown away by this dude for no reason whatsoever. Then, it gets even worse, this blonde woman came to me (I am assuming she works for you) and started babbling on about the fact that I was not listening to them when I was talking to the uber on the app...anyway, she got offended and kicked me out. Even though, once again, I explained that I was helping out someone getting home safely. I dont think that there is anything else left to say really.
This is a beautiful Club / bar. Would highly recommend going there the layout is very nice and there are spots which offer privacy. Theres also a small porch outside with a great overview of the Manhattan skyline. There are two small downsides. The first is that like to climb up a number of what are ways to get there. The second is the prices tend to be a bit absorbent even for Manhattan. however that being said it is still a very nice place to go.
Unfriendly security staff at the entrance. Feels like a factory and not a good bar/club.Ive been to many clubs in nyc and some fancier than this. The staff were much more respectful.Answer: Having been to this place for my friends birthday, and seeing how you treat your customers, Id say its the basket that is rotten and not necessarily the apples 😉
Just threw a surprise party for my friend here last night and I paid in advance so that all my guests would have access to our table before my arrival, as I was coming last with the birthday guest and not everyone knew each other. As my guests were checking in, the hostess just kept telling them to go upstairs, never sent them to our space. Then when I got there, they claimed none of my guests checked in and gave me a huge attitude about it. Meanwhile, on my way there I was trying to contact the promoter that had helped me arrange everything and she was unresponsive, but turns out she was there the whole time. Some time into the evening, I had to go and tell the hostess that I had guests waiting to come inside and she put her hand in my face and went outside to get them, and my friends said she was extremely rude and did not even acknowledge them the first few times they tried to get her attention. Overall, the atmosphere was cool and we made the most of it, but all of my guests were really unhappy with the staff and I definitely did not feel like a paying customer. Very rude and unprofessional, I will never go back here.
Used to be one of my go to spots for partying however the last time I went it was full of underage very drunk kids. A girl even fell down the stairs while another one throwing up in the corner.. the place is also overcrowded. I miss the old atmosphere when it was never packed and you were actually able to have a good time!
Three floors for different music and vibes. Bottom floor was more poppy and alternative, middle floor played trap and southern rap, and the top floor played top 40 with a hip-hop leaning. The crowd was diverse, though the general area seemed to be full of people in their early 20s. Sections had mainly folks in their late 20s to mid-thirties. My crew got a section, and the waitresses were friendly and attentive. I cant wait to come back in the summer when they take the roof off! Ill definitely be back.
Place is very nice and spacious. Came for happy hour once and was very difficult to get a drink but besides that, drinks were very good. Upstairs is more of a lounge scene with the roof top being open; real nice during summer. I would visit again.
The place was nice upstairs and the bartenders were good. At the time we decided to leave after walking down the first set of steps and proceeding to the second set of steps, my friend and I literally fell down the steps together. I wasnt drunk had a few drinks and all that was done was that we were put in a room like drunks. No one cared if we were okay. I have bruises and have been hurting since. If you go there watch those steps.
Omg where do I start. Absolutely one of the dirtiest, most ratchet place I’ve ever been, I was there for 2 hours and saw 4 different girls throw up directly on the floor, and no one come to clean it, everyone was just stepping in it and tracking it around. The second floor was so packed, there was no air flow and the whole floor smelled like body odor. The top floor was also so packed you couldn’t move and were constantly being pushed. The whole demo of this place is 21 year olds who are just trying to get as drunk and sloppy as possible. I would never go back here even if you paid me. A total waste of a night.
I came here for an event and it was at the rooftop bar with great views. There was an outdoor area to hangout at. This was during the winter time, so the roof was not actually open, but definitely interesting to know. The music was very loud, so you might lose your voice if youre trying to have a conversation. But aside from that, I would love to come again for future events perhaps in warmer weather to see how it is!
The DL is an easy skip. If you are thinking of going here or a friend suggests it, surely you can do better. It is over-priced and crowded. The music was somehow surprisingly bad and not mainstream. That being said, the service was surprisingly good and the drinks surprisingly decent (which is to say still not worth the cost). The wait alone makes this a reconsider option. For a place that specifically advertises its spectacular view of the city skyline, it is shockingly hard to see anything through the building, décor, and dense crowds.
I was not allowed to enter due to the brand of boots I was wearing (timberland). It was below 30 degrees out and getting ready to snow!! My girl and I was visiting from Florida and ready to spend good money at this place! To top it off I spoke with the “manager” who was very unpleasant and quickly profiled me as low class individual. I’d even go as far as saying a hint of prejudice.Spend your money elsewhere.
This establishment is an absolute disgrace. How on earth are they still running a business I dont know lol. The bartenders feel like they are Gods and they will get you kicked out and mistreat you if you dont ask for your drinks in a super nice way. They pick fights with you and then call security to have you escorted out. Yes, I saw this happen. To top it off they are racist as ****. 3 shots , 3 drinks, 1 water bottle $160.00! This is not a place to have a good time! They mistreat you from the very beginning. Once you walk up to the place theres an ******* bouncer treating people like garbage. Once you get pass the bouncer your already feeling bad vibes. Then you have to deal with the bartenders ugh... seriously this place is not worth it.
This bar/club is overrated in my opinion. Its a place where people with reservations can show off bottled service for the birthday girl/boy. Definitely for a younger crowd that has a little extra money to blow.If you dont have a reservation, expect to wait in line just to see the place half empty. Out the 3 floors, the top is the mostly heavily populated which cause the floor to bulge on what seems to be poor floor supoort.Drinks are super overpriced, small and not that great. Wouldnt return unless I was invited for a party or for a music event.
Ventured here for a birthday last Saturday night. Being in the lower east side of the city, a lot of eating and drinking places surround this spot, nice area. When you go in I think its more of a bar/Lounge on the first floor. We rushed up to the third floor, this was the club floor (I guess). There was a bar in the middle and a pretty big space around. There is even a little Terrance (for smokers I was told). The coat check on this place is a little weird, like you def have to ask where it is, youll never find it on your own.10$ shots all night, I think I spent about 40$ and I got pretty messed up (lol). But overall it was a good vibe, I had fun, my friends had fun.I would recommend for a night out.
Wish I could give 0 stars tbh. Came here for a friends birthday, and we got a table. Service is trash, employees are SO rude (except for security) but apparently they hire their security through a third party?? they took away my taser which I understood. I gave them my reasoning because I am a young Asian American female living in NYC (gotta stay safe you know what I mean). Told me theyd give it back to me at the end of the night because Id be traveling back to Queens alone, never gave it back. Called them to ask if I could pick it up, went to go pick it up, the owner I presume had an ATTITUDE! So never got that back. Ambiance was trash, music was trash, drink prices were so steep. There are better clubs/ lounges in Manhattan with cheaper drink prices and better music. Besides the aesthetic, everything is TRASH.
I went to the DM on my Birthday. The rooftop was so much fun, the amazing weather, drink specials, and music definitely helped bring the ultimate vibe out of this venue. Only complaint is the amount of stairs to get to the rooftop. Not a huge issue but if your like me forever in heels, be ready for what feels like walking up Runyon Canyon!
$24 for a double of crown royal!Went to an event that was held in the venue. Place was nice and clean, but eventgoers were yelled at once or twice over the night by the store manager, without clear purpose. Turns out, they double booked the space that night and because of their error, we were moved to a lower floor. A couple of our party goers stepped out the door (ciggerates, phone calls, whatever) and they were denied re-entry because of some dress code we we never told about!I was impressed with the space bit the service made me not want to go back.
There is fraudulent activity going on in that restaurant. And the manager is in on it. I was there and my card was used multiple times for drinks and food that I didn’t even purchase. When I called and explained this to the manager she called me a liar. I ask her to send me the receipts she did and the receipt signatures did not match. I told her to check her cameras she told me she would get back to me in a few days. she never did. I tried contacting her I was never able to get in touch with her.. now that I finally get in touch with her weeks she is telling me that the security tapes are no longer available.
I gave a star bc its necessary to write the review. The female bartender was horrible. She was very nasty, rude and unprofessional. However the rest was a five star. Music, venue and the vibe on point. Great place without that bartender.
Second time visiting. A party was taking place upstairs so the door was kept open. It was chilly Halloween Saturday. Loved the food and drinks.
This is a great place to go on the weekends. It gets pretty packed after 1130pm 12, hear place to turn up and dance. Awesome music selection including hip hop, trap, and Spanish. Friday and Saturday thus is the rooftop to go to.
Ok so... I went here for a party and it was a blast. Like, literally so amazing. The bathrooms are great. I didnt have the food but the drinks are nice and heavy. They got me lit like a lightning bug. Great atmosphere.
One of the best placed to get a great nightlife experience in NYC. Music is great, amazing drinks for the price, very attentive staff. I keep coming back because they are always consistent in providing a great experience.
Boucher took a look at my sober friend and told her she was too intoxicated to come in. Bouncer didn’t even hear my friend talk before making this decision. He refused to listen to her tans would only talk to a guy in the group.
Such a nice rooftop!! I have done a lot of events here and it was always packed. The palm trees and the mini pool give the place a nice feel. The music is always great and the crowd is nice too. Good spot for the LES.
Great spot for big groups when you want to go out. Drinks are strong and decent price. Music can be a hit or miss but for the most part, the rooftop is the best spot.
Great venue and staff. Rooftop is everything. Left a coat behind (with AirPods) on a recent visit. They were very responsive and were able to track down the lost items for me. 🙏🏿🙏🏿
I went on a carribean night and it was great. The did had the full packed house dancing. A lot of women which is always a plus for single ready to mingle guys. I would have gave a 5 but I couldnt bring in my 360 camera to take photos, but the manager was nice enough to explain to me that professional cameras were not allowed. She was polite and they let me in. I would sex suggest going to this multicolored restaurant slash dance club rooftop
First thing is the hour of operation is wrong. It stated they were open to 4am not that they close at 9pm and reopen at 11pm. We got tickets online just to arrive to wait for an hour. The dress code stated to dress up but we waiting in line for hours in heels. Then the second level Dj played soco, reggae all night. The third level Dj music was ok but there is no sitting room at all. If you here visiting then I recommend going somewhere else
Went last night with a friend to celebrate - fun vibe, good crowd. Crowd was slightly older which is always nice. The rooftop is open so great for spring and summer outings. Definitely will be going back soon.
Went there for clubbing on a Saturday night. This place has good music, but for some reason I did not get a good vibe from the people or the staff: some people in there were creepy, bouncers were kind of rude.
A friend on the guest list for a birthday and they still expected me to pay 60 dollars at the door for drinks I wasn’t drinking. I pay less to park my car! Left immediately and waited for them at Max Fish, better music too!
Wasnt really impressed with DL. The particular evening I attended the air conditioning wasnt on, and the drinks were a little too pricey for a place that wasnt specialized in making signature cocktails. However, the place is stunning, beautiful atmosphere with a pool on the top floor...very cool.
Drinks should not be the same price as shots... with that being said its beautiful before 11:30 pm... once you get past the many flights of stair, seriously I used my pump when I got to the last flight... the music is good, with the right people the vibe is good after 12 pm ...way too overcrowded to the point where security is looking at you looking at them until you make the right choice and dance your way out... would I go again sure... but I know what time to go and what time to leave
This place is a discriminating place. I have a government issued photo id that’s not a driver license or a state id and the guy at door turned me away, wouldn’t let me in unless I show him my passport. Like who brings their passport to a club?? I got turned away because of the type of ID I had, which is discriminating. Every other placeI’ve been to accepted my ID because it scans correctly. We don’t need this in nyc.
Went for an event at the club level on the top floor. Free drinks so I cant review the price but the service was great and bartenders were awesome. Loved the decor of the place too. Real fun environment.
Cool venue, we went for a live art installation and the event itself was really interesting and fun, reasonably priced alcohol and good music too.The issue that I had was the annoying barmen, (on the top rooftop floor). Both of them were cold and short with us, and when my girlfriend ordered a non-alcoholic drink, one of them called her choice of drink boring and advised she have a beer.Hey, shut up. Youre a barman, youre paid to pour my drink, not make dumb comments nobody wants to hear.Sort the customer service, keep the cool events and youve got yourself a winner. Not all the staff were this unpleasant, bouncer was very friendly - a rare attribute to find in most doormen.
No elevator.5 to 6 flights of stairsDrinks were very expensive. It was suppo to be a deal but wasnt.Staff was friendly though
This offers a lot of different environments and vibes which makes it great for small and large groups. Small groups can easily navigate to different areas while large groups can split up per their preference. The bottom floor is an upscale bar. The second floor is a hip hop lounge complete with couches and disco ball. The third floor is a top 40 club with an outdoors Smokey balcony. Can get crowded at times with long drink or bathroom lines but music choice is solid and crowd is attractive. Get in before 11pmto avoid cover.
The place has 3 floors, the bottom is for dinning, you have a second room on the second floor that has some seats and pillows with candles and a bar. On the 3rd floor they have the rooftop really nice 2ways to get up to the 3rd floor. Music was good, only issue was when it got hot the stairs got very sweaty maybe it was my shoes but.i almost fell down the steps because it was slippery from sweat .
Im a transgender person who is currently transitioning. The bouncer and also the manager would not let me in with shorts, but let women in who were wearing shorts. I went out and bought $10 Long Johns to get in and was successful! Once inside, the bar was ok. The DJs were trash but the bar was nice. I would give more than 1 star if they were more receptive to transgender people like myself.
The experience was good, i had a Meet and Greet there and the place was great. Had to go out about 11pm to help one of my members down being that he was in a wheelchair.... tried to get back in and they gave me a mayor problem my jacket an personal belongings was up on the roof top floor. They send me to the end of the line why?Dont know ....They were letting certain people in and not even from the line that they had made me go to. And there were color people as well latinos they did not let us in..So on that there regulations Sucked.. They need to change them... the security Hernandez was cool but there was a lady and a guy managing that was completely ridiculous. As a security person myself working for a huge entertainment promotion company Ive never seen door rules this ridiculous.I had like 40 people upstairs and we all after that incident...Victor
The place is really nice, 3 floors, plenty of space where to hang out and dance +outdoor space....2 negatives. ONLY ONE BATHROOM. If anyone needs to go more than once you will spend more than half your time in the bathroom line lol. 2nd negative unnecessarily waaaaay overpriced drinks. I get its in the city, but drinks are more expensive than probably 90% of places in the city. Otherwise a good spot with a nice crowd.
Very bad experience. We were there last friday. We opened the tab. In the middle, we got kicked out harshly. We did not know what is going on. The manager even bring few security guards. She said someone reserved the table and we must go right now. The guards pulled our friends and screamed at us. This is not right. We reported the manager in front door. She wanted to buy us a drink, but my friends were disagree because we were very upset. Again, we were very disappointing. We spent almost 150 bucks for unhappy moment. Even they charged service charge. We work in hospitality businesses, we own few restaurants and bars. So we clearly know what is right and wrong. DO NOT COME TO HERE.
I went here once for a friends birthday and have no intention of returning. It seems people come here just for appearance and not because its actually somewhere you would actually have fun at. The drinks are ridiculously overpriced, and thats in comparison to other Manhattan bars. Really, $15 for a Jameson & ginger ale with mostly ice? No thanks. Also the people that come here are jerks. At least 3 of my buddies almost got into 3 different fights purely because of other people trying to start issues with them. Youd think people would be going out at night to have fun, not to fight.
If you want to enjoy dinner, lounge and club all within the same building then this three tier all in one is the place to go. I would definitely take advantage of checking out the lounge and the club above if you going to dine here given you can cut through the line without waiting. Crowd is a mix bag though, so if youre aiming for one demographic then you should try other places. Food is average at floor level and dont expect much for drink on the higher floor since you have to fight your way though to the bartender.
The rooftop is really pretty...all the high plants, it felt like a on oasis! And they have a shots special!!! $10 for any shot of your choosing...not just the house, cheapy liquor. The music is good...not great but good.
Worst place ever in NYC. I have never been kicked out of an establishment in my life. They put me outside in the cold and used very demanding tones of voices. I came here once and the service was awesome. Management must have changed. It was freezing cold that night. I promote nightclubs clubs and this service was never given to me.
This rooftop lounge is a fun spot to go after work or late nights on a weekend. Great ambiance with their renovated space. The huge bar in the center leaves lots of open space to dance and hang out with your friends. They also serve yummy apps till 9 such as Truffled Mac and Cheese and Veggie Spring Rolls!
It was okay. Music was good. It has changed a lot since the pandemic. I would suggest they serve more than bar food for dinner. They serve appetizer food. They dont serve dinner. We went there for dinner and ordered chicken wings and tacos. .ehhhh
The music was awesome. The best part is they actually have Hennessy... The place was nice, unisex bathroom and did I say the music was awesome. I definitely want to go again...
This place was ok. We came here for an event. Drinks were too pricy and not that great. The music was alright as well… we compared it to a highschool formal loll there are other places that are better than this one
It is possible this will be a low rating because of how it was set up and I was expecting more from the event coordinators... however this was an OKAY lounge. Came here for the closing party for Internet Week and sat downstairs at the bar for a little while waiting for new friends to come and also having a burger and fries. (Burger was okay. Fries were pretty good). Then, those 11,000 flights of stairs are ridic and I dont even want to imagine how many girls have broken their ankles stumbling down at the end of the night. Made it upstairs and the place was nice. I like the faux tropical vibe and I can imagine it would be pretty nice at night. Music kind of sucked though. It was a weird electro thing which Im not really sure I was drunk enough to appreciate. Not sure if that was their regular DJ or just someone for the event. Overall I wasnt that impressed.
Expensive, crowded place. I came for a business mixer and was packed right away at the roof top. The roof top is not in open air and was packed like sardines. The drinks were very expensive for the area and the wait staff was not any friendlier for it. Overall I had sweaty experience and would not return.
Great vibe rooftop place! Fancy venue has three floors and a lot cool events
This place takes fake IDs if you are underage and then bargains for you to get them back. My friends IDs we’re all taken and the bouncer said he would return them for $300. Sick. The police need to get involved and stop this immoral and greedy behavior. Taking the ids is not the problem, the problem is the disgusting bouncers asking 19 year olds to pay them $100 dollars each.
Dont come here if youre a minority and dont personally know the bouncer. He refused to let 3 cute girls in but let in tons of people after us who greased his palm or knew him. The bouncer was very rude and made us stand out in the rain for over 10 minutes while trying to flag down a taxi.
