I had a fantastic 90-minute Thai massage from Will. His attentive, soothing, and firm touch left me feeling incredibly relaxed and great in my body. Highly recommend!

I have had a lot of massage in the past, this was my first Thai Massage and it was way beyond my expectations! Will was very calm and professional and the massage was very relaxing. I would recommend him to everyone looking for a great massage therapist!

Today’s session with Matthew was literally life changing for me. This was not just a massage, it was highly skilled physical therapy. I have spent years loving with chronic pelvic pain and more recently painful shoulder and upper back and neck issues. Matthew worked with incredible expertise on my upper body. It was intense but not only did he release tension and pain in a way I have never experienced ( despite receiving hundreds of massages in Europe and Asia over the last ten years) but he also educated me on my body and helped me understand everything he was doing in great depth. I am gutted that I do not live in Portland as I truly believe that long term treatment with Matthew could change me forever. He very generously helped me to understand the different schools of treatment that I need and recommended practitioners I can visit nearer to me. He was also just a super interesting and good human being. He made me fee very comfortable and was very respectful. I literally couldn’t recommend him more highly. If there were ten star ratings he would get them! Thanks Matthew 😊😊

Will is a true healer. His massages are profoundly intuitive and he has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of his art. I highly recommend a Thai massage, though his deep tissue is just as great. Palaquin itself is a nice place, the massage room is tranquil and comfortable and there’s a nice waiting area. I highly recommend Will at Palaquin if you’re looking for a true healing experience.

Will has been helping me manage my chronic upper back and shoulder/neck pain through regular Thai massage appointments. I’ve now had 4 appointments with Will, and I leave feeling incredible every time. Very convenient downtown location, accessible off street by elevator. Very nice, relaxing professional office and studio.

I have been going to Will Hallett at Palaquin Massage, primarily for table massage, but also the occasional Thai massage, for about six years now, and I would not go anywhere else. Will listens to you if you have areas where you want him to concentrate treatment and he will suggest additional stretches, etc. after the massage to promote range of motion and strength. He is professional, honest, kind, and strong. He is dedicated to his craft and his profession. His studio is clean, inviting, convenient, and calm. I have also had a series of three hypnotherapy sessions with Will, and found them to be extremely beneficial; moreover, I have used techniques from those sessions for home meditation practice. Obviously, I cant say enough about Will Hallett and Palaquin Massage.A+++ service, quality, and effectiveness.

Best Thai massage I’ve ever had. Will talked with me about my problem areas and really took the time to listen and get to the source of a shoulder injury that had left me with a limited range of motion. After a single session with him I am able to use the full range of motion in my shoulder with little to no pain. Will is incredibly skilled at what he does and I couldn’t recommend him more. I will definitely be returning.

I have had deep tissue massages for years in Asia and Wills are the best I have experienced. Recently Will has had an accident, breaking a finger. I returned today for my deep tissue and, using his hot stones, it was as excellent as ever. I encourage all his past clients, who wish to continue deep tissue with Will, to sign up for them with hot stones. You wont regret it.

If youve tried them in the past and had a not great experience, please try them again as there are NEW OWNERS. Ive tried 2 different LivingSocial deals with Palaquin Massage. Both times I signed up for their monthly deal to remind me to take time out for myself. Its either massage or the chiropractor and this is so much nicer! That said, thereve been a few hiccups with scheduling but the owner called and made it right. They work on referrals so I would absolutely recommend them. Ive been going off and on for the past 2 years and have yet to have a bad massage therapist. The online scheduling system is easy to use but dont expect a reminder call. Weekend appointments are available by request only. Definitely competitive price and they have validated parking nearby.

I have received a few thai massage sessions from Will, the owner, for chronic holding patterns in my muscles, and found them to be both effective and relaxing. When I found out that he is now offering a fusion of thai and hypnotherapy for chronic pain, I was intrigued and a little skeptical, but mostly intrigued, since I have a bum shoulder from a yoga injury that has plagued me for the last 10 years. No amount of bodywork helps it. I will feel great after a massage but the old restrictions, pain and weakness will come creeping back within days. I decided to give the hypno-thai a try, figuring that at the very least I would get a great thai session with some relaxing guided meditation.Well, its three weeks later, and my shoulder feels pretty much exactly the same as the good shoulder! It almost seems too easy, but Im trying not to overthink it.If you have a chronic body issue that hasnt responded to anything else, I highly recommend you give Will a try!

Wow! Will is the most down-to-earth, wonderfully involved, and talented massage therapist. I have been seeing him for many years, and I still look forward to every appointment. His massage, whether Swedish or Thai, is very thoughtful, relaxing and focused.

The ultimate deep tissue massage! Will is extremely pleasant to be around and is a top provider in massage. Always hard to find an excellent masseuse, so once I found Will my search for a great masseuse ended. You wont be disappointed!

Ive been going to Palaquin (monthly) for several years. I have never been disappointed. Will and his expert staff of therapists continue to provide me with amazing body work. They are professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. I will keep going back.

I love this place. I was first introduced thru a Livingsocial deal and have been going there since. Their tables are heated and everyone talks in a whisper (isnt this a common theme at all massage places). Their booking systems is really easy. You can call or book online, making it really convenient for people like me who dont like communicating on the phone. Their located across from the food cart pod on 10th and Alder. It can be tough finding parking on Timbers game days, but if youre stressed out the massage is perfect!

Excellent massages, both Thai or table. I have been going here monthly for years and always walk out relaxed and renewed. Will really knows how to address pain and tightness.

Matthew - the massage you gave me was incredible and I still feel great (especially the foot/toe with issues) after deciding to catch two more Bob Weir and Wolf Bros shows in Seattle and Missoula Montana. Scheduled a massage and I showed up and nobody was there. There was no good way to get a hold of the person to follow up on what happened.

Will was very good. I dropped in while travelling and he was very welcoming and efficient.
