Triple Nickel Pub

Wanted a place to chill with a few of my friends the night before one of our buddies married. Found this place online and it was just what we were looking for. Somewhere chill with good service good music and a pool table. There were only a handful of people that came and went the time we were there. It was a cool spot , nice and laid back vibe . Glad we stopped and checked it out.

Looked excellent , loved all the sports, beer boards etc. But no one actually serving? Had to go sadly but sure this place is normally great

Great selection of beer and liquor... bartender kinda dull but met a local named Marcus. He is a musician that plays there he saved the day of me being bored. I ended up leaving right after he left but I will be bringing the friends next time I find out he is playing. Great dude good whiskey poor.. would have stayed longer and tipped (i tip on the second round) if I felt welcome. Thanks Marcus for the deep conversation.

Amazing selection of both beer and liquor and staff that care and treat you well. One of my go-tos for a bite to eat and a drink with a great atmosphere. During those warmer days, its nice to have the outdoor patio seating as well!

This is one of those places that has gotten better through the years, the service is probably the best Ive ever gotten at a bar so that definitely keeps me coming back, my homie DJs here too so I always try to come out and support him, plenty of ladies, dancing, drinks etc, Belmont is pretty dope too

Just stopped in for a quick beer. Stoked about the skee ball! I got to play a round of that, a couple rounds of giant connect 4, pac man, darts and a photo booth before I finished my tall boy! Great vibe, Ill be back

Terrific bar to eat or have fun. The Nachos were delicious and there are some fun games to play there as well.

There aren’t many options this late at night. This place holds the standard for late night night eats and drinks but the quesadilla holds up. Peter is anyways ready to make sure you have the best time possible.If I was going to give this place a rating out of ten it’s gonna have to be 8.3! And that’s taking into account that it’s at a late night bar.

They have lots of beers and full bar. That’s the good news.The place needs a total cleaning as you will know when you walk in. We did not try the food.

I got the jalapeño burger and it was satisfying! The staff is great very attentive. Also the atmosphere is very welcoming ❤️❤️

This place is really nice, and its in a really nice neighborhood! The drinks are really good and its super spacey. Includes outdoor seating and live performances sometimes!! 🤟🏼 Also has a human size Jenga set and two pool tables!! I believe Fridays and Saturdays are when it gets popping! 😎

Had a great time mingling with friends, listening to music and dancing. They were quite busy, but efficient. Chicken strips were good, fries were soggy.

Many beers on tap. Decent bar food. Coupla pool tables, Jenga, mega Connect Four, TVs, Video Lottery, and a lone dart board on the dance floor. Came here for chill vibes and because we wanted to play some darts… but it wasn’t for me dawg.Super nice staff though!

Tim Steph and Peter are amazing. Good music, good people, good energy. If you want a great spot to go in that area THIS IS IT. Next time I’m back in that neck of the woods I will be back

Never tried the food. Its a place I go if I have to. Definitely better bars with better quality ingredients and nicer friendlier bartenders.

Nice pub to chill at on the weekend, Free billiards on Sunday and Monday. Food was alright. Nachos were subpar, but the burger was great (or at least thats what I remember) overall great experience.

Another Portland establishment that focuses too much on a social agenda. Leave it alone and allow all customers to come in without shoving personal agendas in customers faces. Thats what inclusive is

Not a classy joint but serves its purpose. Good for a dance floor and stiff drinks. Atmosphere is up and down but Ive never had a bad night there.

So many taps! Legendary SE Belmont bar has mostly escaped the grime of its former incarnation. Great bartenders, traditional Portland pub menu. Happy to out the Timbers game on.

One of the only bars in Portland with Skeeball!Sunday night karaoke had a group of folks who looked like they were having a great time, solid selection of beer, and a well stocked top shelf of whiskey to boot. Also they have a nice back patio (which I think opened only recently)

My favorite bar. Forget what you think you know. Theyve EVERYTHING. Best high end whiskey and tequila selection in town. Great food. Excellent staff. Its a neighborhood bar for some but its a destination for us

I hate this place. It’s sort of the destination for folks from the burbs who want to party in town. The customers are selfish in their approach to being decent citizens and neighbors in a relatively residential neighborhood: they could give a-f how loud they are and who they might wake leaving drunk after midnight. The owners/ managers, at best, pretend to care. There have been two to three driveby shootings at this place in the past twelve months. Maybe safer not to hang outside. Otherwise it’s a meh bar. If I was going out for the evening I’d angle for better food, better atmosphere, and a place where there are better employee playlists.

DO NOT ORDER FOOD FROM HERE they will claim that they’ve never had a GrubHub account and never got my order even though they have a storefront ON GrubHub and the option to order through GrubHub on their Google Maps page. I can only assume everyone working here to be extremely incompetent.

Bartender is not an honest person because if they see you. Your new there when you order a drink in the bar they charge you double. So if your new there when order a drink. first order the same drink 🍷 the person Infront of you and ask the price to that person But dont let the bar tender know when you ask . There trick that they use is.... the glass short and tall glass. Different size but equal amount. In your eyes the tall glass is bigger than a short glass but when my friend empty his glass and the tall glass that I order he pour to his short glass the same beverage that he order previously coz I order the second round. The bartender double the price. Pool table 1 dollar a game when you go to different bar 0nly .50 cents a game. Charge too much and cheated you when you buy a drink. Double up the price when your first time there. It seems that they good if remembering your face 😈

Fun place with 38 beers to choose from! Very comfortable atmosphere, I dont know if they still do dance parties, but if so, GO.

Great selection of beer. Usually have a few ciders on tap. They also have a full bar and make a good drink. Bar food is good. Its poppin on the weekends and a nice chill quiet place during the afternoon on weekdays. Friendly service. Photobooth, new age jukebox (not sure what those digital machines are called), pinball, giant Janga, giant Connect 4, darts. Portland staple.

I love playing pool at Triple Nickel even though the tables arent 100%. Its the atmosphere, food, and Elmer T Lee bourbon that keeps bringing me back, even if the table eats the cue ball or they dont have all the right balls for pool.

Excellent place with awesome staff. I like the patio area and the new paint they have done on the benches. Really glad found this place! The bartender (starts with an S?) was super cool. He really made it a good time.

The liquor and tap selection is HUGE. Their Spicy Thai Peanut Burger is honestly the best burger I’ve had in all of Portland. Friendly atmosphere with a lots of tables and space, pool tables and pinball, large outdoor patio, and great music. Would definitely recommend grabbing some food and a beer!

I went for lunch on a Thursday and was pleasantly surprised. For a self-proclaimed dive bar they had an excellent whiskey and craft beer selection. Nice atmosphere and a friendly bartender. She was also the cook, and did a great job of preparing my food, which was during a near as makes no difference all day happy hour. I will definitely be back next time Im on Belmont.

This place is pretty awesome. The bartender was very nice so was the cook\barback. The collection of really top notch alcohols is really impressive especially the whiskey collection. The only reason it doesnt get 5 stars is the pool tables are pretty rough, they definitely need to be re-felted. I really go for the pool but everything else was so good they get a 4 stars. If they ever fix the pool tables they might not be able to get me to leave on my days off lol.

Disgusted by the owners behavior and the way he spoke to me. I did not expect to be publicly humiliated, kicked out, and laughed at by him for a simple mistake. Do not bring ur money here.

Best burger Ive ever had. The fries were amazing and so were the chicken strips! I didnt not catch the name of the bartender but he had blond hair. He was so so nice and the food he made was amazing. We will absolutely be back!!

Dark bar with great bar games and a spacious back patio. There is outdoor seating in the front as well. Friendly staff and a seemingly endless tap list including many different ciders. There is something here for everyone!

Ill never go back again - I witnessed the owner literally shout at 2 promogirls who were working there. They refused to serve someone who was clearly drunk person and he flipped out on them! He was shouting, its was unacceptable, bizarre and scary. Never will give him my business again.

A lot bigger than I expected. Drink lines got long but great service. If you like to shoot pool this looks like the place to go. I wish the music wouldnt have been so loud so our table could have talked more but Im also old and Im sure that opinion isnt shared with their college aged patrons.

I stopped by this establishment after playing pinball at quarterworld. The drinks were amazing. They also have karaoke, I dont know if its every night but the night that I was there, karaoke was going and the array of music was delightful. Their jello shots were great as well. The only obersvation I made was the female bartender seemed intoxicated. I dont know what she was on, but she was clearly struggling to speak, stand without wobbling or hear people taking her orders. She really needed to go home. She was nice though. The karaoke guy seemed really nice too. We ordered their hummus platter and my lord it was amazing!! Definitely will make a return trip, hopefully the bartender will be okay next time.

This amazing pub has the best selection of bourbons and other fine drinks in Portland. Also they are tied for the best Burgers tied with Little Big Burgers. The staff are always lovely and a pleasure to walk in and always enjoy the atmosphere,Staff, patrons, drinks, and the food!

I love this place! Its my happy go to. Its got everything I need. Drinks, play and dance. I always recommend going here when asked what to do.

I wish I could give them more stars b/c theyve got a great beer selection, the servers are friendly, their beer pricing is really good and I love that they have the board that shows how much is left on each keg BUT the two things that kill me are 1.the smell of the bar (took a good 10+ minutes to get used to) and 2. How DIRTY the tables were, full of crumbs and oil spots...gross. Didnt even want to put my phone down on it

Love this spot! The bartenders have always been very knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. Theyre reasonably priced. The back patio is my favorite during a sunny day! Theyre Irish nachos are absolutely to die for!

Wonderful options for bourbon and other amazing beverages. Several fun drink specials with clever combinations of flavors.The staff is incredibly friendly especially this one lovely lady that helped us.Theres a place for dancing, playing Jenga, pool, a photo booth and several options for watching sports etc.

A great pub, we visited it for the first time to try their burger special for portland burger week (which was delicious by the way, highly recommended). The food was good, the staff was friendly, and I was really impressed with their selection of beers and especially ciders. They had a really wide range of ciders on tap, particularly one of my all time favorites, the Ace pineapple cider, which can be hard to find. If you havent tried this, you need to. It is the best pineapple cider out there.

This place has a broad selection of beers and ciders, with pretty decent prices. Several pool tables available, free to play on Mondays. Giant Jenga, a couple of old school tabletop video games of the Atari 2600 variety, a good jukebox and plenty of TV screens for your games, matches and recaps.Ive only been here a handful of times though Ive always had a good time.

Liquor selection is is amazing, especially if you like tequila and whiskey. Sadly, due to labor shortage, only a limited food menu, but the fried pot stickers were awesome.

Good beer selection, happy staff, hip hop. This aint the old school Triple anymore, only 2 dart boards. Its clean now and has digital beer boards. Still a decent place to grab a beer and some pub grub.

Its a chill bar with a really cool bartender. the karaoke is great (depends on who is singing though), its got good food, pool tables, arcade games and even a giant jenga game. the atmosphere is pretty nice.and to those it may concern, theres 2 pokestops right next to each other that are reachable when you sit at the tables

Drink was so bad it tasted like the guy who made it didnt care about his customers or the experience. Said he knew how to make two different drinks and just threw stuff together to make it look like the name. It was so hard to drink my drink in a glass that was filled only a quarter full without any ice or soda topper. Will not come back.

Actually my favorite bar on Belmont. Always a fun time. They have giant Jenga, pinball and pool but most importantly a dance floor! One of the few places you can actually go out dancing without having to go to old Town and pay a cover.

Good drinks, though they were out of a lot of cocktail ingredients. Terrible burger week special (tasteless dry probably made from frozen patty, bland Mac and cheese. Decent bun). Terrible acoustics, like really quite painfully loud.

Burger Week 2019 - burger was smoky and delicious and service was very fast (pretty much no wait at noon). The bacon and slaw was a great combo and it had just the right amount of heat. Get a red to pair.

Bartender was great and welcoming. The tv/game were WAAAAY to loud. Ive always liked this place as a simple neighborhood bar. Good selection of taps. Giant jenga and pool for when you perk things up a little.

Cool down-to-earth local neighborhood bar. The nickel offered all the traditional things that you would find. Pinball, pool, darts, outdoor seating and a stage for live music. Good decent pores and the food is not too bad also.

I like this place to go and dance and have a good night out, however I have had some pretty sketchy times where men will approach you and not leave you alone. It would be nice to have a person of security inside especially on busy weekends and holidays. Other than that I give this place 4 stars.

The floor was super sticky and gross. The pool tables seemed to get in the way more than add to the environment. The vibe was very college and immature. Awesome for people that are 21, not so much for someone who is 25 and looking for a more sophisticated environment.

Best bar in portland.Its got it all, pool tables, big buck hunter, DJ Cutthroat playing the best hits of the last 2 decades, a couch, big ol Jenga and even has the legendary Pete tending bar.

One of my fav bars in Portland. A lot of beer selection and liquor as well. Id say its a solid spot for friends or even a date since they have a range of games to play. Darts, pool, pinball big buck & giant jenga. There are 2 bartenders I see there most times I go in that are totally rad! Im awful with names but once I find out Ill edit 😊

Fast and friendly service even during burger week 2017, the “Bacon Mac Attack” is a good idea but the ingredients were a let down. The average grilling burger, too small of a waffle fry, and a few Costco brand bacon bits in the spicy mac instead of actual bacon. Looks like a fun place to get drinks and hang though.

Weekends can be fun but service tends to be slow, mostly because of the constant opening and closing of tabs. The venue would do well to put a minimum purchase on cards to discourage the buy a drink, close the tab, buy another single drink, close the tab people which clogs up the card and POS systems and creates unnecessary waits for drinks. This is a great dive spot for pool on the weeknights and drinks are reasonably priced given the location. All in all a solid spot with just a few hiccups.

A waste of time and money can be found here.Wings are tossed in a GARBAGE award winning sauce, the burger was literally just garlic inbetween a bun, and the place looks terribly junky. Their menu of food choices is one page and nothing looks appetizing.They have life sized jenga, which if youre lucky, youre not around when people are playing- because the crash of the jenga pile is quite startling.The bartenders gab way too much, especially with no business around, and forget that you started off by handing them your credit card for your order to go. This place seems more like a place for an over talkative bartender to waste his time and make nothing in tips.Not a very adult friendly environment, and certainly not very kid friendly, even though it LOOKS as if kids would appreciate the walls that have a giant chalkboard.Dont go here, period.

These cocktails are way to much money. $14-$16 is ridiculous for a dive bar and in general. The service was great but spend your cocktail money elsewhere. Plenty of cheaper and actual cocktail bars down the street.

The bartenders/waitress/cook all one very temperamental young lady was extremely rude when myself and a coworker walked in for a lunch break. In not so many words she could have just said shut your mouths until I ask you a question. Also what I could only assume was the owner standing on top of the bar to try and repair a television... Not a look in her direction nor a single word of displeasure in her direction. Almost like it was just another day at work and this is how we do business. If there were negative stars I would choose one!

Great spot to hangout mid-afternoon. Solid beer selection, three nice pool tables and an outdoor patio which is a nice touch. Service is hit or miss, but enjoyable when staff is having a good day.

The best neighborhood Pub in the world! Recently renovated its even nicer than it was before! Great place to hang out with friends

Has a nice, chill atmosphere. They have a large list of cocktails to choose from. The food your average bar food - low cost, but nothing special.

Last night going, and had a rude and terrible bartender. It was around 9:30 on a Sunday with limited people. Bartender was VERY reluctant to serve us. I ordered 4 jager bombs, and he rolled his eyes. I suppose I was stressing him out with my order. I then ask him for a serving tray so I can take it over to my table, He then throws it on the bar close to my drinks. He clearly was upset for some reason. I then ask the bartender, knowing he was stressed, I know youre busy, but when YOU GET THE CHANCE, can you close me out? Im in no rush.He then responds by yelling, NO, IM CLEARLY BUSY HERE. YOU HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE.Bad and grumpy bartender made me feel very bad.

This is one of the best Portland neighborhood bars. The staff is hilarious, the food is bomb, and the drinks are stiff.Sexy bingo on Thursdays is a must do!!!

First things first a plain clothed guy is outside checking IDs... you dont even realize he works with the bar just before you walk in he asks for ID which at first I was like uuuhhh you look like a regular jo talking with someone who was sitting at the benches. No slot machines. This is a social bar with 2 pool tables and a big big jenga set. Buck hunter also which is nice. Jello shots for 1.50.

I came here from NE to pick-up burgers for a few staff members. The bartender informed me that it was burger week and they werent doing to go orders so id have sit and eat. I brought up that it was for my staff and was willing to pay regular burger price. I was responded to with a yeaaaaah, we dont do that. and a rushed Ok, byeeee. Might want to turn down your eagerness not to serve me... It also seemed like a weird way to do business, the place was empty and try hadnt posted anywhere online that they werent doing to go orders.

Cool Belmont bar, big bar, pinball, nice open patio. The owners are usually on premises with open smiles. Lots of good happy hour prices and good prices when not in happy hour. Need a beer, check here.

Came here for the Portland Burger Week special. I would normally find it hard to complain about a $5 burger but this is the exception. I waited half an hour in line to order and then another 20 mins for the food. The burger was very obviously frozen and about the same quality meat they serve at a highschool. The Mac and cheese was like a toxic orange sludge. I was completely dissatisfied and disappointed.

Best burger and chicken strips in Portland. Great place for cheap drinks. Went in on a Tuesday and had an excellent time. Highly recommend!!

Great Food, Great Price – As bar food goes they’re really good (and always clean). The workers are a blast and can usually get a table for a game. Good assortment of micros for a ‘dive bar’. Always go where the locals go, and this is where that is.

One of my favorite pool bars to go to! I always recieve great service and I never have trouble getting a pool table and I love the extra events they host!

The place is good for beer selection and free pool, but the food is pretty bad. I had their trippple burger and the meat had to be a 50-50 mix of meat and fat. I couldnt finish it because of how gross it made my mouth feel.

The owner is a dirt bag and ill mannered. There is a blond guy that works there with a fo-hawk that is just as dirt baggish as he is. Very rude and I think they sell illegal drugs.Its seems like a trashy California BRO bar where everyone thinks theyre hard because they listen to 50 cent.. Nothing about it says portland.

Small town pub – Sort of a grungy locals place, but with really good food and a big selection of drinks. Prices are fair and it’s clean and nice for what it is. Definitely NOT a hipster dive.

I had the chicken wrap. This was foodie good. It was deep fried chimichunga stile. Beer is good. Barkeep is friendly.

Im a local of Belmont and this bar is my favorite on the st great food great beer selection and usually pretty good service although on fridays It gets a little overwhelming

Large choice of drinks, giant jenga, and multiple pool tables. Depending on what youre looking for, during the week more mellow and during the weekend the bros and such come out for karaoke and sports/ grinding.

There are jello shots. They are not vegan. The cook went to great lengths to make fried pickles for us, despite obstacles. Unexpectedly good open mic.

A Portland classic, games and a dancefloor has been added, its not the old school triple nickel, yet a fun vibe and lots of young singles if youre in the market.

This is where its at for burgers (jalapeno burger, omg) and brews. Love it. And the owners are wonderful, beautiful people who treat us like family. Love love love it.

Great bar... Id give a five star if the drinks were cheaper... but its a fun bar!

Good options for gluten-free and vegans/ vegetarians. Had a yummy pineapple passion fruit cider and spinach & artichoke dip.

Everything youd expect from a dive (as a scooters regular I mean in a good way). Peter and Todd are absolute professionals.... Will be back often!

This used to be a relaxed dive but now they have a small dance floor and blast top 40 club jams. The times, the times they are a changing.

A classic. Plenty of variety on tap, pool tables, live music occasionally, projector showing games, and giant Jenga. Dont forget to ask for Jello shots.
