Man this place has gone downhill. Well, most of the gay bars in Raleigh have. But the reply from an owner with too bad when I asked youre closing at 12:30 during pride takes the mismanagement cake. No wonder the gay scene here has been dying a slow death. Legends and Flex have shared owners and none of them care.Oh and they ran out of ice... And well alcohol... I guess maintaining their equipment and stock falls to the wayside along with celebrating pride. Its just a shame that theyve decided to basically throw out their best patrons. Its definitely not a gay bar anymore. Its run like a straight bar.

Its OK, Id say its a place for more mature guys. Your go go dancers are laughable with their pot bellies and dad bods. Try getting more attractive dancers, lol. And why do you close so early?

Karaoke Sunday was lively, lots of people at the beginning which was really hard to hear. We had a hard time hearing the KJ, the sound system was not great for karaoke, go to Night Rider for better sound, as I found out, a lot of people did. We left early, it might be better later as the crowd thin out. But, all in all, nice bar, but not for karaoke avids. Bartender was really hot. Good looking people.

What a great new space for the Raleigh LGBTQ+ community! Far superior to the former dungeon.

Gay karaoke bar. Friendly bartender. Clean establishment. Went on a Tuesday night; it was very quiet.

This is the only gay bar I’ve been to where the gogo boys are as diverse as a bowl of rice. Bartenders are usually nice and fast but the over abundance of straight women puking and destroying the bathrooms is really off-putting.

When “Leather night” is 80% 18yo straight girls and it’s so packed you can’t walk through……NO thank you.

This place is a straight up tourist trap...they preauthorize your card for a bunch of money and then tell you your card isnt any good and you cant but drinks. F*ck this place

I love this place. The vibe is great, the karaoke is fun, the drag shows are entertaining, and the bartender is so kind.Always worth a visit.

Each time I go its great. Karaoke on Tues and Wed is a hoot. The crowds are fun and supportive. Talent is not missing at Flex. The DJ has talent of his own. If you want a great place to go then run on down to Flex and party 🥳🎉. Everyone is welcome there. Looking forward to the Drag Shows. Im from Vegas and have high expectations for entertainment and they fit the bill on all levels. The bartenders are fabulous. C ya there.

Flex is probably one of the nicest and cleanest gay “dive” bars I’ve been to. The staff is exceptional. The bartenders make an effort to make you happy. There is someone coming around regularly to clean up the empty drinks from the tables. The bathrooms are very clean. Also, the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this bar.

Went early on a Thursday and watched a drag show that was a lot of fun. The drinks were cheap and good. Its not as much of a dress your best kind of place. You could wear your everyday clothes there and fit in. The people that work there are nice and the music was good.

After paying 5 bucks to park ,,.its ashame to buy a drink,,and b rushed to get out at 12,,.door guy let us know we could tip him ,, we did ,but put off by getting us for few bucks by just a guy standing at door.why are we tipping anything.everyone thinks they should get tipped for nothing..it was cute club now but no nooks or crannies to go hide in.no specific dance floor..nice to see some folks we had not seen in yrs ...not going back till they decide to stay open later...we dont like to be pushed towards legends to further our spending.

Best (and only) leather bar in the Triangle!

Lit. I mean LITERALLY one of the BEST bars in town. Great music drinks and atmosphere. The staff here are fantastic and so sweet and friendly[ At least the ones ive met] and because of them youre not just a patron of the bar you become family, they really make the whole atmosphere inclusive and so loving and accepting. All of my best memories with friends have happened in Flex and Ive made so many friends because of it. I have had countless laughs and cries here it really feels like home when I walk in. Ive not met the owner but he is in very frequently and from what I hear is just as great as his staff. I cannot recommend this place anymore 5000 stars. Very low key and mellow gay bar, I love there Leather/Fetish night and Bear nights, pretty cool. Come as you are and not Judged by anyone, Super friendly atmosphere and the drinks are great. Cash only. I often go on leather/fetish nights wearing my leather gear and boots and got nice comments on my leather outfit and Boots. my place for chillin out and meeting up with friends.

Outside of being a gay bar this is just a great bar period. People are very friendly, bartenders are fantastic, GREAT VIBES, and cheap drinks. You could ask for more.Maybe not as polished as other bars but I hate a bar without character.

The kareoke master told me the song i requested he cant find it but he just played ot an hour to me requesting, he was was also falling asleep while i was requesting. Prob because im asian thata why he dont let me sing but it wasnt a good experience at all.

Not my best white green tea shots, but there were plenty of tables and chairs to relax at. The music was good and it a chill time.

Old-school gay bar. Lots of fun, not pretentious. Leather nights and Bear nights are the best. Bartenders are hot, friendly, and flirtatious. The crowd is boisterous and welcoming. In my opinion, the best gay bar in North Carolina. FYI: they are cash only and usually charge a small cover at the door, and they require ID to enter. A definite must-go for Raleigh gay night life.

Kind of remind of ny gay dive bars except no coke on the counters thank the Lord. Staff are great professional. Every week something is going on to meet the variety of clientele. Great drinks , recommend(Double) Liquid Marriana so good.

I celebrated my 50th birthday at Flex. I had never been there before. It was one of the best birthdays I ever had. Im so grateful I got to have such a wonderful experience right before covid hit. It was a karaoke night and I felt so welcome. Bless you, flex folks. The best people.

This new space is so good!

This place is fun on karaoke night and trailer park drag night, but can get kinda scary on bear nights. If your into the kinky, leather chaps, nipple ring crowd, then you may enjoy it. The ceilings are very low, and it feels very dungeony inside, so theres that.

A classic gay dive bar with leather leanings, Flex also has karaoke Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights with everyone welcome! Bring cash for the bar and sign up early if you want to grace the stage with your presence. Now featuring doors on some bathroom stalls, too!

Great crowd for a Tuesday night. I can see the potential for a weekend night too. I will be coming back.

Ive been a handful of times and each time have had a blast. Its cash only with an ATM if you forget. When its slow the staff has always been super friendly. When it gets packed be ready to get bumped into and have a few drinks tipped on your feet. Its a tiny bar in the basement of a building.

Im rating a one. Im not sure why me and a few of my friends supposedly got barred for life. Im not going to miss the place at All. Beer can be purchased anywhere. And they will lose not only my business but many others. Sorry Flex. Hope you can with stand losing $$$

Its quite, very nice neighborhood, pool, and exercise room is great . People are very friendly here as well .

Make sure something is going on when you go otherwise you may be very bored. When its good its good. When its empty its just sad.
