This guy didn’t let me in because am indian . He didn’t even see my id , i have 3 id but he didn’t talk to me he is racist he say no every single spanish and indian 😟

The worst experience in Raleigh ever. We stood in line to get in, but when we showed our IDs, they didnt scan on their system. The bouncer quickly waved my ID in front of the scanner and handed it to someone else, then told us to leave.We were shocked since our IDs worked fine at three other bars that night. As we waited, we saw other Indian and Black people being told their IDs didnt scan, while white groups were let in without issue.For 10 minutes, I watched only black and brown peoples IDs fail to scan, and they were asked to leave. The only people of color allowed in were with white groups.Ive never faced such blatant discrimination in my 10 years in Raleigh, NC. This experience was so blatant that I had to write about it.

Plus, having been to 3 other bars that same night where our IDs scanned perfectly. My friends and I were a little perplexed about what had happened. So we just waited there. To my amazement, another batch of Indians were told their IDs dont scan. Then another black couples IDs didnt scan.I stood there for 10 mins, I witnessed and observed the same thing again and again where only black and brown peoples IDs magically didnt work, and they were all asked to leave. The only colored people that were allowed into the establishment were those who came with white groups.I have never faced adversity in this form in the 14 years of living in Raleigh, NC. But this was so blatant that I had to write about it. 😞

A fun place! The painkiller was probably my favorite drink :)They shot confetti a few times on the dance floor which was super fun.The bathroom got pretty gross the later into the night we went.The staff was super friendly and caring when talking to me.

Reviews are far from what we experienced. Absolutely awesome time, everyone was extremely friendly, adorable outdoor area with heaters. Music was awesome, lights, lasers, everything you could need for a good time out. Highly recommend!

1 of the bouncers ran into me on the dance floor while I was dancing. Instead of apologizing, he aggressively blamed me and made disparaging comments using sexist language. He threatened violence and behaved extremely misogynistic. When I complained to the manager, they both just laughed at me. Will never visit again.

My friend was wearing a headband, not allowed in. Black people have to hold their hair up. Get rid of those racial practices of barring people from your club just because they wear a fashionable headband. Teach your doorman the difference between a head band and bandanas. Gangs have specific colors as posted by the Raleigh PD.

Ive never seen such a wasteful place in my life. They just let people in based on looks. I witnessed bouncers being judgmental, letting people in solely based on appearance without proper ID checks. Its disgraceful that the management hires such shameful bouncers. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

Got my phone stolen here on Saturday night. Bodyguards know exactly who the thieves are and refuse to do anything about it. Several girls had their phones stolen that same night. BE CAREFUL! Never coming back to this place.

Such a waste place I have never seen in my life. They don’t even scan your Identity properly and allow people just by looking at face. Such a scam, I literally saw bouncer being judgemental about people. They just allow people by looking at the face and not even scanning their identity. Such a shame on management to hire such shameful bouncers. I would never ever such this place. Easy do your money.

Hello this message is for Dutch Morrell. The Asian manager and the outside very short bartender were incredibly rude to my sister and I this evening. There is false advertisement because there was not any simple syrup yet they serve Paloma’s. He said he doesn’t have any and I asked him so why doesn’t he let everyone know. He made everything extremely difficult and was not complacent at all. When we complained about the drink being too sour the bartender made rude remarks and when we asked to speak to the manager an asian man he threw a lot of bad words and we asked to speak to his boss and he said he didn’t give an F. Please see the attached “mojito” that was initially served to us. The bartender and the manager clearly do not know what they are doing or what they are talking about and ALCHEMY is ill equipped to serve drinks as well as people. I pity who hired them other than that the bouncers are great and the music is ok.

HAD THE MOST INCREDIBLE TIME HERE!! The staff and management were freaking great! The venue was clean nice classy and a comfortable feel. Now it didnt hurt that my favorite DJs in the world DADA LIFE were playing. Had a great time and will be back!! Went back and read other reviews. Just for the record I had zero issues with staff or crowd. I actually dropped my phone 3 times and it immediately returned and its a $1200 S21 Ultra. 3 different times while raging and it was returned and staff were all really cool and I am a 54 yr old white guy. Crowd was very mixed and wveryone seemed to have a great time!

The place sucks through me out because I had one beer! Not friendly and rude . Think they just don’t like African-Americans.

Its okay. Its a dance club. Mostly EDM so know that but it’s a lot of great DJs. Always have a good time here. It can get very crowded (as it does often) here but it doesnt get as rowdy as some of the other clubs close to it. Its not fancy here, not a lot seating either. Its fine.Theres no cover charge for the off-peak hour days, but Friday and Saturday night expect to pay.Alchemy is a nice spot actually. Lots of space indoors, outside on the patios and in their backyard covered tent area.They have added lights. Lights and lasers are always fun.Its pretty chill until late, like into the last two, three hours. Then it gets litty city. But, if you like EDM and wanna go catch or throw out a vibe, youll have fun here.They host real great djs on the weekly and host special shows from time to time. Check out their social platforms and get plugged in. If edm is your thing, youll love it here.I have read the bad reviews and, honestly, I come here on the regular. I just don’t see it. If someone gets thrown out, they were asking for it. It’s glenwood south, the epicenter of drunk kids 21-25. Lots of drugs are here..lots.

Loved this place. Absolutely a gem. Ambience and crowd was amazing. This will go on top of my club places to visit. They even have a big backyard where they reserved seatings and nice dance floor. The DJs were absolutely amazing and loved to dance for the beats. The only point I have is I did not taste liquor in my shots. I wouldn’t recommend if they don’t mix liquor in the shots.

Bouncer were racist, they let anyone else in but not me. I was not drunk but decided I was. They did not give me a name.

They randomly changed their dress code which caused my friend to be turned away for having rips in his jeans. This was during a company outing, so 20 of us had to leave the club because of one pair of ripped gyms. I guess the bouncers enjoy allowing thousands of dollars walk out the door over small things.

Total disrespect😩. I am considered a regular of this club. I have been coming to this club every Friday and Saturday night for months. I have an incredible time, meet many many people, and people dance with me, so that they can have a good time. I dance for four hours every night, and people come to this club to have a good time. Tonight I was totally disrespected by a bouncer, that had a problem with where I placed an empty glass. I was careful to make sure that the glass would not break, and set it up on the DJ ledge. I dance with my eyes closed 90% of the time , and apparently, this bouncer, stated that he addressed it with me, but I don’t remember a thing, since my eyes were closed. He then asked me to leave the club, disgracing me in front of my friends. This was total disrespect, and I have assured him, that I will tell every friend, every person that has ever entered this club, to never come back here again. This was an uncalled for response. I personally will never step foot in this club again, since the disrespect was unbelievable. This could’ve been totally avoided, if the bouncer had just taken the glass, and walked it over to the bartender.The total disrespect and dishonor, for a regular customer, is unbelievable.Please do not come to this club, since there are many other clubs, that have fantastic bartenders, bouncers, and managers, that want your business. Let’s shut this club down. It is a disgrace.

Been coming to alchemy for years and it is hands down my favorite club in Raleigh. Half of these negative reviews are from people who need to find themselves a cocktail bar and not an EDM CLUB. BTW if you forget to close your tab before you leave… you get an auto 20% tip .. DUH ITS 2023??? Have you ever been to a bar before? It’s not credit card fraud there are signs at every bar that have the warning very clear. You just don’t read and don’t close your tabs lol.Music is excellent. DJ’s know what they’re doing and know how to keep the club moving and people dancing.Definitely can be a little loud and crowded but .. it’s a club so it’s to be EXPECTED.Vibes are always amazing, warm and enthusiastic bartenders, make excellent drinks, strong pours and amazing liquor selection.They have VIP table service with the most GORGEOUS and kind bottle girls I’ve ever met. And truly make it feel like an event.Thank you Dutch & Oak city group for my favorite place in Raleigh.

You can act tough and talk firmly as a security, but dont be disrespectful, especially if the person wasnt doing anything wrong at all. And I know for sure yall wont give a damn about the negative reviews that you get. All Im saying is just be reasonable. Dont treat everybody the same. Ive been to other clubs and they dont act the way the securities here do. I see now why you got less than a 3-star rating. I, along with my friends, will never step foot in this club ever again. The bouncers are extremely rude and the guys in suits are such condescending people. Not everyone wearing tennis shoes, jeans, or timberland boots will be allowed entry. Also, the stuff they spray may burn your skin! Do not recommend this place.

Horrible service! I felt uncomfortable and more like me and my friends were racial profile. We requested a drink from the bar.. the bar tender did not discuss prices before serving drink. However, the drinks was overpriced, we tried to ask bar tender questions regarding to the other options and requested to order something else… B/c drinks were made the bar tender tried to make us pay and refused to serve us something different. WE DID NOT touch or drink the drinks at all. Overall, b/c we tried to negotiate with bartender and ask questions he immediately call security over to escort us out. The bare tender was a short, bold headed African American. Everything happened to fast to get his name unfortunately. DONT GO HERE! TERRIBLE SERVICE!P.S my guys friends payed $10 to get in and we escorted out less than 5 mins after paying to get in. I will be calling in to file a complaint to manager

I would never set foot on that place again. Security is ran by very unstable individuals, and makes the environment unsafe. One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Drinks were mediocre. Food the same. Not worth it.

Saw Nora En Pure on Thursday. Bass was set way too loud causing many tracks to sound the same. You could feel the air moving around inside because of it. This was the case for the two openers as well. Ended up leaving early because the experience was totally ruined and not enjoyable. The place was packed early and it was nice to see support, but I probably won’t be going back here to see any DJs on tour because I had much higher expectations with the $40 ticket price.

Worst experience with management.I attended the San Holo show on May 11, 2023. San Holo was supposed to start at 9PM but he arrived around 12:40AM. I drove two hours to Raleigh after a long ten-hour work shift just to see San Holo. I understand that the club management has nothing to do with this.After waiting for three hours in a crowded space, I decided to search for a place to sit and rest briefly. I tried to find a spot to sit somewhere but obviously its a club and there are no chairs. In desperation, I tried to sit on the floor outside near the bar, only to be approached by the management. Instead of showing empathy or understanding, they bluntly informed me that sitting on the floor was not allowed and demanded that I either stand up or leave the premises.The only silver lining in this entire experience was the bartender, who witnessed the ordeal and took pity on me. He kindly offered me a free bottle of water, recognizing the discomfort I was enduring.I personally wouldn’t go back to Alchemy EVER AGAIN.

I was finally dragged to this place after over 10 years going out in Raleigh. Its a basic dance club. Music was ok, nothing special and the DJ was probably just playing Spotify. Not very good signage or help. I was shoved around by the bouncer when I tried to get in because it wasnt clear you had a cover after your ID was scanned. I was polite, but seriously just add a better flow to the club. I dont know why people like this place. So many better clubs not owned by this pretentious dude in Raleigh.

Probably the #1 spot in downtown Raleigh if you want to party. Have only been a couple of times but have thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Drinks are a little expensive but the venue is always amazing.

Some of my favorite artists come here but I refuse to go. Friends have been pickpocketed, staff doesnt bother to help, bouncers are rude/physically aggressive/charge excessive cover, bartenders commit credit card fraud by putting in fake tips.... Should be reported to the state and shut down....What a mess. I reach out to many artists to tell them too avoid this place in the future, and choose the fruit or another venue.

Was a great experience only thing keeping it from a 5 star was the allocation of the fog machine, I paid the cover I want to be blasted in the face with that sweet sweet mist all night. Cute girls great atmosphere cheap beer! But like come on emptying the fog machine an hour and a half before close… grow up

It’s a great place for dancing and music but as the place is really small and always crowded, it’s a place filled with a lot of crime. I LOST MY PASSPORT AND IPHONE straight out of my purse though it was fully closed. And when I came back next day there were three other girls along with me looking for their passport and phone. I would suggest everyone to be really careful at this place as it sounds like it’s clearly planned out and the management doesn’t care about any of your concerns. The bouncers don’t even help you with anything or let us search which sounds very fishy.

They said their headliners come on at 11/11:30 they do not. They’re still coming on as midnight like they used too. They’re lying to customers for more business. Rather then making it a better environment.

Bouncers were super rude to me and my friends. I’ve never had an issue , but bouncers now are bullies to girls? Come on. They would not accept my valid NC license , unbelievable. Party scene was good and ended up having a good time.

My partner and I went here to see San Holo and there was no warning that we’d have to stand through 3 and a half hours of random DJs just to see the main act. The venue closes at 2 and it was near 1 when we left and no sign of the act. I was feeling lightheaded from standing and needed to sit down and there was hardly anywhere to sit besides the VIP area so I had to sit on a step and the bouncer said we needed to leave. The lack of accessibility should be criminal.

Honestly? Great vibes. Staff were nice, with cool tattoos. I really liked the aesthetic. Music could be a bit more varied, but eh. What can you do? It’s a club!

Sat in there for 2 hours during Cinco de mayo. No one in there DJ playlist was horrible. Then once people started to arrive we are told we can’t sit by the mirror? Do not waste your time here, drinks watered down, music is weak.

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff with incompetent management. While waiting to get in on 11/12/22 around midnight, witnessed the power hungry “security” staff torment the line of guys as they waited to pay their cover.They cussed, yelled, shoved and threw out multiple groups of guys in the line who appeared to do nothing wrong other than be unable to read the minds of these security workers.A bit of courtesy, organization and intelligence would’ve gone a long way. After watching this while standing in line for 20+ minutes we didn’t even bother, our group of 20 guys and gals happily went elsewhere - and shockingly enough nowhere else in Raleigh were the staff as rude as here.

Becareful using your credit card here. The last time I went here I noticed the bartender over charged my card. It was only a few extra dollars so i didnt make a big deal about it when i saw the transaction the next day but it happened. I assume they just think people are too drunk to notice if they add a few extra dollars in tips to your card. So check your credit card unless you like getting your money stolen.

I travel all over and am always missing the better music and dj’s from abroad but this club was soo fun! Drinks are basic, atmosphere fun, music is fire. Only bummer is I dropped and lost my ID amongst the smoke and mirrors..

Alchemy is by far one of my favorite places I have ever been to, When I first moved to Raleigh in 2015, I frequented this night club once I started venturing out. I have seen the business grow and foster wonderful experiences for the community. The culture is fantastic and there is such a diverse crowd that comes in. I have met some of my best friends at Alchemy. The security is well trained and the bar staff are fast and efficient. The DJs also play proper dance music that appeals to all listening palettes. If it is your first time in the Raleigh/Durham area, VISIT ALCHEMY! You wont regret it.

Ive been coming for years. I LOVE IT. I dont drink so the music and vibes are super important when Im out. But recently the music hasnt been as good as it was in 2020. My favorite spot on Glenwood tho!

I wish I could rate them Negative 5 Stars lol. The Bartender literally refused me to serve me a drink. Guess why..?? Just because I forgot to tip him on just the final round of my drink; even though, I tipped the same guy 2 times earlier for the drinks that he served me. I mean Come On Guys, get a life..!! It is your job to serve the drinks and tips are not something you should be greedy for. I must say that if you go to this club then be ready to tip them good else they would rubb on your face. Everything else was 10/10, just not the Bartenders. Too much attitude as if they own the place. Not going there anymore.

Apparently when you stand too close to a bar sober…. And you get told you are blocking the bar so you move…. And then they ask you to leave because they want to power trip when you ask how far you need to stand because they think you didn’t move far enough . I’ve been in the service industry for 10+ years…. Never been asked to leave anywhere…… I had a group of about 10 of us…. We bought one drink and the bartender needed her power trip lost a couple hundred dollars for no reason…. I will be recommending to anyone I know and every friend that comes to town to go to any other bar

I came to dance and they gave me dance music. I needed to feel the bass in my face, they threw in the lights for free. I needed a drink and they gave me $6 Lagunitas.Show up early and let the dance floor build up around you. The dj had an incredible set and kept the crowd moving.Obviously the crowd trends younger but if you come to dance you’ll fit right in.

Report to BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU should be reported CREDIT CARD FRAUD.Don’t go to any shows here. Way too crowded for edm etc tiny space. Go to The Fruit, Lincoln Theatre or the Ritz.Aggressive overzealous bouncers.Reports of girls getting roofied.

I’ve never felt the need to write a negative review about any place I’ve ever been to, only positive ones. However, I wish I could give this place negative stars. DO NOT GO! My boyfriend got his new phone stolen right out of his pocket. Unless you want your valuables taken from you, never step foot in this place ever. Very disturbing that there are lots of similar posts to mine.

Fun place in Downtown Raleigh, used to love going here but won’t be returning. Had witnessed a bad encounter with one of the bouncers here. I have not personally been physically harmed but have seen other bouncers be rough with people entering or waiting to enter. The bouncer Bryce is a total creep and 100% uses his job to pick up women.

False advertising! Came for San Holo on a Thursday. Ticket didn’t mention any openers, yet there were FOUR opening DJs in 3 and a half hours. DO NOT give this place your business. We had to leave without seeing San Holo so don’t know if he ever showed. We feel scammed. Honestly shocked that San Holo was booked for Alchemy. He could (and has) played much larger and nicer venues. Edit to add: Looks like San Holo came out around 1am. Know that when you get tickets to an artist at Alchemy, you are going to a club and not a true show. Not everyone can stay out past 2am on a week night, so I wish the ticket information was more transparent.

Place is an experience! The music talent there is phenomenal! Staff are fun and send the energy over the bar to the customers. BIG time famous DJs play shows there all the time!Highly recommend for a good time.

My wallet was stolen out of my purse at this bar on 4/24/22. My friend also had her phone stolen the same evening.I should have read the reviews about theft and pick-pocketing and not gone. The bartenders and security staff were very unhelpful throughout the entire situation.Please do not go here, your things will be stolen / you will be pick-pocketed.

My roommate and I literally had our phones taken out of our zipped up purses, while we were wearing them, with a bouncer next to us. Shady place. Lots of girls looked to be too drunk, or drugged, many stumbling and falling and management did not care. Bouncer was more concerned with finding girls to dance on the stripper pole than helping my roommate and I find a way out without our phones to call an uber. Place was not clean, no one cared that we were robbed, and people safety is ignored. I would 100% give 0 stars if it were possible. And I now avoid this place like the plague. The owner of this establishment also owns cornerstone, which I would avoid as well for similar issues, but not as bad as Alchemy.

If you love misogyny then this is the place for you! They love backing up the men who call women “fat b****es”. The drinks taste like they’re made by a freshman at ECU. Terrible experience. Would only go to this place again to warn the folks in line about this place.

Is .5 a star an option? The bouncer physically pushed me outside and swore at me to leave, even though I tried explaining to him that I lost my phone inside. I never retrieved my phone and I left feeling so degraded.

We went here on Saint Patrick’s Day. It was extremely crowded. People were basically on top of each other and there was no way to navigate. They have two bars which is convenient. The music was techno style new hits and very load for such a small place. My ears rang for two days after I left. Overall if you want to get drunk and jump around this is the place for you. Good selection of drinks, decent music and a very lively crowd.

I spend 10s of thousands of dollars on tables across the country and I wouldn’t give this place a penny. Overcharged my card and Dutch is more then likely the problem. If you’re ownership and reading this, he’s your problem.

Stopped here just to check the place out and chill. When you walk in it feels like youre entering a different world. Its beautiful with all of the lights and decor. The bartender Mikey was very nice and accommodating. We asked if they could put the Wisconsin Badgers game onto the TV, and they did! It was so nice just chilling by the fires.

One of the bouncers shoved me onto the floor because I wasn’t a female. The manager of the club also kicked me out of the club when I asked for a refund.

LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS! DO NOT GO!They disguise themselves as “a premier spot in Raleigh” but cover up the NUMEROUS assaults their OWN STAFF is responsible for and the amount of crime that happens INSIDE the establishment. Women often report pick-pocketing which staff AND management do nothing about, people are literally tossed out for no reason, (racial) discrimination, bartenders throw not only drinks but GLASS at people, glass & spilled drinks are constantly on the floor & management is content with all these things.Honestly confused as to how this establishment is even open given the amount of police reports/crime.

I visited there for the first time last night and had a great time in spite of the DJ not being my kind of flavor. With that being my only misgiving, Im just going to check out the DJs listed and go on a night I think the music and crowd will be more fitting for me. These terrible reviews are clearly written by disgruntled people who probably had no respect for the bouncers and staff. If you respect them, they respect you. I personally saw the bouncers constantly clear drinks and keep an eye on things. Kudos to their hard work. The interior has a clean, classy look, and a main screen that constantly play different meme-like animated gifs and viral clips. 2 others have sports, and I think 1 also has a menu show up, but being at the lounge section I couldnt see it well. Ive noticed fog machines start going when the place gets very crowded. Judging by reviews Id come across, not everyones a fan, so keep that in mind. This place doesnt get packed until after 11:30, so plan this for your late night venue. Crowd wise, I had no problem. Perhaps a few buzzed hens clucking too loud, but lots of sane-looking people just having a good time, blowing off some steam after a hard days work. Thats all we really want, right?

Has potential, love the separate rooms and great lighting, lasers, and decor. However its always too full of rude, pushing people and DJ is terrible. Always the same DJ too, he doesnt seem to understand what people want to listen and dance to.

Literally the worst experience I could have asked for. My cranberry vodka was so weak it tasted like water. I actually think it was water.Onto the more important part. The bouncers are sexist pigs. No where on the wall/anywhere does it say only girls are allowed on the stage. So, me and my boyfriend got up on the stage. Seconds later a bouncer pulled my boyfriend off the stage into an extremely violent chokehold and dragged him outside. By the time he was throw, yes thrown, onto the streets, he was gasping for air. Not only that but another huge bouncer took it upon himself to restrain me with such force (for simply following my boyfriend out of the bar) my shoulders were sore the next day.Moral of the story: have your drinks beforehand, and only go if you’re a single girl.Absolutely pathetic.

I love going here to dance! The crowd is usually fun and the dj is on point. The drinks are moderately priced and it is usually easy to get a drink because they have multiple bars open. I will continue to keep this go-to on my list of clubs!

Alchemy is the place to be if you are planning to have a crazy fun time dancing. I love hitting their dance floor and dancing to the tunes of the amazing Dj s who play there. The staff is extremely wam, friendly and accommodating. I couldn’t believe when I had lost a precious personal belonging and the staff most graciously found it, kept it, informed me about it and carefully returned it to me. I will go there again and again and so should you.😀😀

There is a reason why this business has 2 stars. We just came for a few drinks with me and my girlfriend. The staff was very bothersome. We have been to multiple cities like Nashville, Miami, NYC where the staff does not bother people who are just looking to relax.

First time at Alchemy in Raleigh to see Sam Feldt. Bouncers were friendly when checking IDs and scanning tickets. The main stage / dance area is pretty small for a club but theres not a bad view in the house. The openers were good, the audience just didnt know EDM music much. Sam Feldt came on at 12:30am. I didnt see any harassment going on when I was there. They did a cute job with the decor as the clubs I go to in Dallas dont necessarily have a theme or vibe. I did see signs for $10 drink order minimum.

It’s one of the good dance club one should visit in Raleigh specially on weekends. The Music was really nice and it made environment really very nice. It’s a crowded place so people who don’t like much of crowd can try going early . Over all it great experience.

My friends and I were both verbally and physically assaulted by a group of men, then WE were kicked out for reacting to said assault. Reported this to manager and he said “he didn’t have time to deal with it” DO NOT GO HERE. They do not care about your safety let alone women in general.

Listen to the reviews, don’t risk it. Go literally anywhere else: overpriced, rude (bad service obviously), small, bad local DJ and just overall a waste of money. Unfortunate because it claims to be one of the premier spots in Raleigh. I recommend hosting your own party or going anywhere else rather than coming here.

ABN really hypes up the crowd. I went there a few nights ago, and he was my favorite set of the night. He should definitely perform more often.

Definitely the place to be if you crave the club scene loud music, strobe lights, and crowds. The bartenders and bouncers outside were all nice to our group. Drinks were normal, nothing to write home about, though. Finally, I was disappointed with the amount of broken glass on the floor. One of the girls in our group was wearing flip-flops and her foot was cut as a result.

Worst Entrance Dress Code Policy’s Ever, You Can’t Even Wear Bape Because it has Camouflage in it, You Can’t Wear Anything But Work Jeans Basically To A Club. Security Can’t Even Justify Their Problem And Why They Made Up Those Rules. Don’t Let Your Drive Be A Waste of Time Trying To Go Here.

Very loud, very crowded!!Yet one of the coolest places to party in Raleigh. Walking in around 11 pm after dinner and a few drinks elsewhere is a good idea. Shots are reasonable if you can find your way to the bar counter.

SOMEONE STOLE MY PHONE STRAIGHT OUT OF MY PURSE ON THE DANCE FLOOR!!! Crazy. Someone literally opened my purse and stole it. Totally felt someone grab my purse but that happens all the time when people walk by so I didnt even think to look. Ive heard others have this phone issue too and three other people outside the club after closing were looking for their phones. #SketchAF

Do not go here. My phone and my wallet were stolen from my purse...along with several other people in the same night. This is the second time I have had my phone stolen here in the past 2 months.I thought it was an unfortunate accident the first time, but it seems to be a recurring event that happens at this place.

If i could give this place zero stars i would. One of the bouncers pushed me last night so I nudged him back( self defense)( I am only 52 and the bouncer who pushed me was well over 6 ft if not exactly that height) . He turns around and starts aggressively pushing me so I stood up for myself . Another bouncer who grabbed me from behind and was holding me between my neck and shoulders. They literally threw me out of the club out on the street and I have a big bruise on my arm. The police did not do anything in fact he tried to tell me that he had a right to put his hands on me even though I wasnt doing anything wron. Bouncers cannot put there hands on people first, they are only supposed to use the necessary force to difuse the situation. I wasnt even apart of the situation that was going on before I got there but because i am black ( Im mixed ) white people dont care about how blacks are treated. This club is racist AF, prejudice , and they racially profile people.

Good club experience for Raleigh. to people who say its racist thats completely not true. I have seen people of all colors in there they just try to maintain a non hip hop club atmosphere so if you show up dressed like you would for such an establishment regardless of race you will most likely be told to change your attire before being allowed in. cool vibe and nice staff. its an edm club that has good light show and quick bar service

Alchemy, where the bartenders are more concerned about giving u mixer than they are giving u shots. God forbid u call them out, they will immediately assume ur inebriated and have u removed from the bar. What a disappointment from previous experiences. Do not recommend, don’t tell andrew the truth about his mix drinks. He’ll make sure u don’t stay. From a scale of 1-10, i give it a neagtive 7.

Alchemy is a good club to go and have a fun time. But on the other hand they have the tendency to overcharge you or add in an extra tip on transaction without authorization. This has happen twice to me and by all means tried getting in touch with the manager but it seems that he doesn’t care.

Came a few months back and had my phone stolen straight out of my purse! Didnt realize at the time and had to buy a new phone. I heard similar stories happening to other people. Terrible security and a bit sketchy, but at least the music and dancing was good.

Love going to alchemy! Hands down the best music, lighting, and vibes on Glenwood! The bartenders are knowledgeable and fast, the bouncers are kind and helpful, and overall the staff is just amazing ☺️ 10/10 recommend

Bouncer on February 1st, 2018 at 1:30 AM, was extremely rude. My friend took a picture on a very nice car outside of the establishment which was understandably wrong since it was not her car. The bouncer then refused to let her inside which is again understandable, but then proceeded to call her fat. He was unprofessional and took it entirely too far. This establishment should seriously consider who is representing them outside of their buisness. All I have seen from these bouncers working for Alchemy are arrogant and ignorant men acting more important than they really are. Insulting people at the door for miscellaneous reasons is clearly some kind of self esteem boost but at others expense. Get a grip, and come back to reality. Who are you to judge other people when you stand outside in the cold, checking IDs all night for a living. ...Sit down (Lamar, 2017).

Got my phone stolen and realized it as they where closing the bar. I asked the people who work there to see if they found a phone and they just kicked me out. I came back the next day they didnt let me in. I called them and came back again the next day. People who work there are mean and refused to help in any way.Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND Alchemy to anyone!Dont know why its still open.

Kicked out for waiting or a friend? Bouncers & manager backed kicking people out for no reason including waiting for an intoxicated friend. Management should really do better to care even remotely if their patrons.

Broken glass all over the dance floor. I had an entire broken bottle go straight through my shoe and deep into my foot spilling blood everywhere and having to take a fun trip to the ER to get stitches. Was rushed out the door and given two dish rags to and basically told too bad by club management.Recommend wearing steel bottom shoes or not even going to the dance floor entirely if you dont want to be stabbed and crippled by a dirty broken glass bottle for 3 weeks.

I thought tonight would be a lot fun with my boys. We hung out and decided to go to Alchemy in Raleigh. However, I had a young man named Andrew decide it would be a good idea to put his hands on my throat and try to drag me out. Only because I told him it wasnt right to pull a chair from beneath a young lady who sat beside me. She fell on the floor, angry and inebriated. I told him it wasnt right and he decided I shouldnt be there. He told me to leave. I said Ok, let me get my card. He put his hands around my throat and tried to pull me away. I wanted to fight, I wanted to fight back. I decided to keep my hands in the air with his hands around my neck (and shirt) and hope for the police to help me. The policeman outside told me he only saw the guys hands up (on the top part of my body), leading me out. Once outside, I asked for names. The guy told me his name was Andrew. Andrew, who put his hands on me, did not want to give me his last name. I wrote down a discription of him with red hair and a beard. The officer outside could not pressure him for it. I was embarrased because I was being treated as a drunk patron, even though I was not.I began to file a report, and came back for details. I spoke to the owner who told me my story didnt match with what he was told.This has been a horrible experience. His employee escalated a situation for no reason and called the young lady fat. Ive never seen anything like this in my life.

My charge card was charged three times all with in minutes. I only made one purchase with my card and that was for two drinks that would have came to around $20.00 not $47. Have tried calling this establishment and people refuse to talk to me and refuse to get me the mgr. Next step is filing credit card fraud with police department.

Not a good experience, takes your picture at the door, cant wear a hat inside, and males are not allowed to stand on the mirrored stage. I went with some girl friends and the bounces shoved me off the stage. We stayed 10 minutes and left. Would not recommend if you want something dancy go across the street to Cornerstone.

Decent place for a night club, gets pretty packed during weekends for a small place, Also started taking covers on a regular weekends. Keep this as a second option.

Excessively violent, unreasonable bouncing staff. Escalating to a chokehold and choking someone out twice, especially if they are nonviolent, is 100% illegal and able to be prosecuted as assault and battery. This establishment is clearly negligent in their hiring and training practices, and seems to have some shady activities going on in the background, given the lack of interest by police in intervening here.

It feels like youre in a club in eastern Europe, Dubai, or Miami. Cool place if thats what you like, loud electronic music, flashing lights, fog machines, mirrors, and lots of sweaty people. The drinks are a bit pricey, but good nonetheless, there are three bars and an outdoor area with seating.

If you’re looking for fun stop looking and just show up. I love this place. Friendly security, great bartenders, get a VIP table for the ultimate experience.

Got kicked out for standing up for someone that was not being allowed in due to the fact that he was wearing a brand new pair of air Jordans. Then the bouncers proceeded to taunt and harress my friends and I and tried to get me to step onto their property for whatever reason. This place is beyond terrible.

Music was too loud. If you have epilepsy this is not your spot. To top it all off, they do not serve corndogs at this establishment. Not even a corndog would bring my review up to 2 stars.

Security at the front door hit my car with an orange cone instead of asking me to move my vehicle when some guy pulled up in front. For all he new I the governor! Hire some respectful staff and this will go all over the Internet!

Racially profiled! I was well dressed and still not allowed to enter, while others had on busted sneakers, flip flops and shorts and were allowed to enter. I only saw black people being turned away. Rude staff at entrance! Horrible place.

This place SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. Not only do you realize, once entering the club, that youre walking into a building where everyone is packed in like sardines, but then you have several additional things youll find yourself concerned with, such as 1) avoiding stepping on the broken glass littering the floors, 2) also avoiding slipping on the wet floors from spilled drinks, 3) dodging excessive and unnecessary shoving from bouncers on power trips, and 4) praying that you do not have an encounter with their extremely rude/profane staff (with the exception of the bartenders). Will be letting everyone I know who wants to have a great time in beautiful Raleigh to stay far away from this sad excuse for a club. ZERO STARS if I could. The good people of Raleigh (and visitors to the area alike) are too good for this place.

Me and my co worker went on Labor Day weekend and had a great time. The upstairs DJ mixed it up great the bar tender make some pretty great drinks.

Definitely don’t recommend. Environment was not fun, staff was far from friendly. The owner is extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional. Total disregard for paying customers, was very disrespectful when I voiced a concern I had about the nightclub. No wonder this place was nearly empty on a Saturday night.

This place is a joke, its employees think they own the street in front of the business. The street signs clearly marked it as valid street parking at the times I was trying to park there only to be harassed by the employees standing outside in their tank tops and telling me its employee only parking and threatened to have me towed/ticketed.

Was an okay night club until the end of the night when they suddenly closed the bathrooms and wouldn’t let anyone use them before forcing us out to hold it on a 30 minute drive back to Durham. Not a fan of power tripping bouncers.

Loved this place! Came in with a bachelorette party and got fast service even though it was super busy. The bartenders were very attentive and we loved the atmosphere. Definitely coming back.

Apparently it’s women only on stage. Never coming back. Not sure what the plan is with this but not a place o want to support. Just watched a man get taken out because he was dancing on stage. Obviously this shouldn’t have been a spot on the bar crawl.

I bought a beverage, gave the bartender my card and asked to close out. They gave my card to another patron who I did not know, now I’m worried about my card information being in a stranger’s hands. When I confronted the bartender about it they said that I was in the wrong.

I used to visit alchemy often with my friends. My friend lost her phone. When we approached the management regarding the issue they were really rude to us. They weren’t ready to here what we were saying.

They have crazy high cover charge for men. I can buy drinks in that money and have fun at other bars.
