Spa West

I threw a party here for a total of 5 people. I go to spas pretty regularly. Here are my thoughts.Pros-Massages and facials were good.Drink and food selection were nice and plentiful.All the therapists/techs we had were great.The 90 minute services option was good value.Cons-I waited well over an hour for my first service. There were only 4 therapists to cover the “party”. It lead to me waiting over a hour and sitting by myself for 30min prior to me going to the front to see what was going on. I had multiple calls with the facility prior to our arrival and during none of the calls was it indicated that the people in our party would have extended wait times. When I asked about my wait time, Cheyanne responded very rudely. Telling me “this has never been an issue before!” This definitely dampened the experience. I did indicate on the phone that the person we were celebrating wanted us to have time together, the place could have corrected me then and set an appropriate expectation.The express pedicure is not a good value for your money. The tech was very nice, however.They could not check us out in 1 transaction. It took an extra 30 minutes for me to check out. There was an added 20% gratuity to each of our visits that we were charged for prior to receiving any services. While I respect that people should tip for services like these, that should depend on the quality of service we receive. Tipping prior leads to lacking service.l will not be back to this location. I gave a 3 star rating simply for the therapy staff. The place was very unorganized.

We had a spa party for my bachelorette at Spa West and it was the best! We loved the private lounge with our drinks and snacks and the cute bachelorette decor they added to the lounge! Our massages and facials were excellent and all of us girls had a great experience. They went above and beyond for us.

Dont let the parking lot fool you! The place is amazing with amazing girls! We had a couples spa day. 4 of us total from out of town wanted to hang out together and have a relaxing day. Spa West did that for us! We had our own private lounge that included snacks and mimosas. There were showers, lockers and a sauna in our lounge. We all had massages and facials. In between our services, we met in our room, had a drink and a laugh and went to the next service. Courtney did my facial and it was one of the best facials I have ever had! Megan is a great massage therapist. She made me feel very welcome and relaxed. It was such a great experience for all four of us! Would definitely recommend to anyone !

My partner and I always stop by here to get a couples massage when we stay at Reno. Its a beautiful facility with great amenities. This is the third time we had massages here and this time they were okay but the first two times they were way better. It just depends on the massage therapist that you get. Staff is super sweet and attentive and even after an overcharge they were quick to fix it.Definitely recommend and will be coming back!

I highly recommend the massage therapists at Spa West! Just had the best massage ever and I feel so relaxed! And the front desk staff is knowledge and bends over backward to accommodate their guests. Clean and the refreshments are wonderful!

Great massage from Beth yesterday. My husband & I got the 8 minute couples CBD healing massages. He had Denee & gave her rave reviews too & we both used the saunas in the locker rooms. A bit tight but worked well. The ladies lounge was nice & relaxing and the salon area was nice too. Would definitely cone back here again again

We wld go back any time!! We visited from Louisiana and met up with some friends & wanted the 4 of us to have a relaxing day together....man did they deliver! The snacks, mimosa bar, the gals doing the treatments...it was all fabulous! Dont let the location throw you off...this place is LEGIT!

One of the best massages I’ve ever had. I really enjoyed not having to fight the crowds like the casino spas, or smell that horrible smoke. This is more intimate and relaxing.

The first time. Getting a spa place.. All the staffs was nice.. The lady who gave me. The Massage. Did a good job.. I cant wait go back soon

I’m only give 2 stars because the staff was friendly and location was clean….But the technical skills were not there and definitely not worth $95 dollarsI went there on Mother’s Day and had a friendly masseuse her name was Christine I believe. We where running late which I know is our fault but my massage was only 30 mins, on top of that it just feel like she was rubbing me down. She was not hitting no muscle groups what so ever. I did not feel relaxed like u have at other places. I feel ripped off and will not return when I visit Reno again.

Spa West is a great business. Christine did my deep tissue sports massage and was very helpful and professional. She gave a great massage and helpful wellness tips. I would highly recommend her and will be requesting her in the future. This was my first massage at this business abs I was impressed at their service and pricing.

I have been going to Karen for years to get my hair done. She is the best there is. Ive recommended many of my friends and they all love her. If youre looking for a great stylist ask for Karen!

Awesome massage session! Sierra was very attentive and accommodating! She made sure to ask me if Im ok with the temperature of the stones and such. Sierra also massage me per my request of gentle pressure! Well surely come back again!

My aunt works here as a stylist and shes been cutting my hair for 18+ years. Shes a fantastic artist and will pretty much do your hair any way you want. Also the spa is lovely and the staff are quite friendly.

I love this spa. I have been a member of Spa of the West for several years. What keeps me coming back is the wonderful staff, especially Amber, the Manager, Courtney, Lead Esthetician, and Everyone else. The spa is very clean, and serene. The services and products they offer are top shelf.

I have never been to this Spa my son gave me a gift certificate I called 2 weeks in advance for a pedicure. The day of the appointment I arrived on time and was told I did not have an appointment. The girl at the front desk told me the manager would give me a call which never happened. Very disappointed in the unprofessional way it was handled. I will try one more time as my son wanted me to use his gift. I made another appointment today we shall see if that works.

Staff and massage therapists are all amazing, friendly, and welcoming. The facility is clean and snacks and flavored water are provided in locker rooms. I love coming here!

Kennedy, the young scheduler, is my heroine. She got me in here last minute at closing on a Sunday just now, despite the fact I am a clueless gal about this place! (Only bc from Im from CA). Girl, if you are a massage therapist in training call me in the next 20 and Ill come back for a massage from you! (Seriously!) 😇😝Jan, the massage therapist she set me up with tho, is horrible. Just God awful. I mean, she refused to serve me because I was 6 minutes late and she is on her own time. But everybody whos ever had a massage knows it is spiritual to some extent. Suffice it to say, if you want a massage you do not want Jan. 😇

The spa at Sports West Athletic club is where its at! I love the monthly specials and killer discounts on the best quality services performed by amazing therapists. The front desk staff are always attentive and pleasant, but if you want to book a service after hours, you can book online on their website. However, I would reccomend booking at least a day in advance as they do book up rather quickly.

I had a hair apt with Jenn Rodgers on 6/18/16. I have never done a review before but first thing was that she was 1 hour late to the apt. Before I scheduled with her I sent her a picture of platinum blonde hair and Said if you dont feel comfortable doing this blonde of hair please let me know because I do not want to waste my money and but upset if it is not how I want it she told me she could get me exactly how I want. Long story short she literally made my hair a darker blonde then it already was :/. I waited a week to see if I could grow to love it. But I spent a lot of money and was still un happy. So a friend said I should tell her I dont like my hair, and if she was a good stylist she would try again or give you your money back. So I text Jen on 6/24/16 and told her how I felt..... And nothing not even a respons. If I had all the money in the world I probably wouldnt care but I dont and getting my hair done is a treat I do for myself once in a while.

The greatest spa Ive ever been to in the country. Im a massage addict and Id fly to Reno NV if I had to move, just visit Spa West. Staff is Always nice and professional. Highly recommend!!!

Spa west doesnt honor their cancellation policy and will charge you regardless plus more than the original service cost. Literally go anywhere else for a massage.

The facility was very cozy and calming. Mikey was terrific and ver personable, would definitely go back.

Spa West is such a elegant relaxing place to get anything from a facial to a pedicure. Courtney is a wizard manicurist.

Melinda did an amazing job and the prices are incredibly reasonable for the level of service. Prepare to be pampered.

I really enjoyed my experience, Isabella was a great, attentive masseuse. The front staff just as patient and attentive.

A relaxing, comfortable setting with excellent service. If you just need a break from the insanity of life, this is the place to forget your troubles for a few minutes.
