Amazing pieces! So many selections, for such a great price. The guy working was very helpful, and nice. I live in Virginia beach and plan two hours just to grab a new piece once a month.

Carytown Tobacco is worth the drive from Tidewater. The entire chain is next level. They have the good stuff and knowledgeable employees. I always feel like I have to train vape store employees because they dont know what theyre talking about, especially with expensive stuff... not here. I bought some Dr. DABBER stuff

How do you sell a product but not the products accessories makes no sense

This establishment has been serving Richmond locals for years now, with good employees and atmosphere. It is nice to have a place so close by where I know it shares the qualities I discussed above. Good atmosphere is a key component to any successful establishment. Cary town Tobaccos atmosphere is modern, yet inviting to new smokers.

I have never had a bad experience here. In fact everyone has been overwhelmingly friendly. I certainly dont mean to make them sound like they are that creepy type of customer service representatives, either.They have a good selection and are willing to answer all of my questions without making me feel as if I am putting them out.I would absolutely recommend this store, and this location!

Poor service and rude employees.I first called to see if my product was available. Not only was the dude rude but he was barely helpful.Upon arrival I was met by a clerk on his phone as though he could not be bothered.Upon my second arrival I attempted to explain that my experience with the device from previous vendors lasted longer . This seemed to fall on deaf ears for the customer being helped by another employee seemed to be more important. Upon checkout I was met with the same unfriendliness as the clerk once again seemed more occupied by the other things going on in the shop.

They have a good selection of overpriced glass shipped from overseas. They even expanded this store to double its size and dedicated it to Hookah smoking! I havent been in for a while; however, their employees still lack in personality. It makes me want to spend my money elsewhere, like at Higher Education. At least talk to your customers and try to sell me something, dont just ask 15x Do you need help with anything?

Great vibe from this store! Cant remember of the man who helped me, very patient and interactive. Brought many things to me to see if the shelf without me feeling like Im annoying him, he was eager to show me products. After picking some things out, he gave me a really nice discount and threw in a leash and clip for me. Really awesome guys. Absolutely made my day. Will support for life.

Yesterday I walked into carrytown to buy a hookah and was surprised when adam , the manager of the store took time to explain to me all my options and the quality of his products not only did I get a good deal on a really nice Egyptian hookah I also walked out of the store feeling better than when I walked in .. all the employees were very friendly and easy to talk too I definitely recommend this smoke shop above all others I’ve been to in Richmond ! I’ felt obligated to hop online and give the place a five star review

My experience at the Broad St. location was exceptional! I had no clue what I wanted or needed for a hookah. The salesguy (I didnt get his name, SMH) was very kind, PATIENT, and informative. I not only left with my hookah along with all the bells and whistles but also more knowledge for future purchases. Thank you so much!

I have been going to this particular store almost everyday for over a year. I buy the same deal every time….but for some reason there was a mix up yesterday. A new employee had said they didn’t do the 4 for 30 deal on the limited lava vapes and only did some other deal I have never heard of. I called less than 5 minutes later and the same employee apologized and told me if I came back he would fix it. So I WALKED all the way back there while my dinner got cold just to be told by a different employee there was nothing he could do? So not only was I overcharged 17-18$ Because someone didn’t train their new employee properly, but after being told it would be fixed and refunded I was lied to and sent away. This place use to be one of my favorite to go and check out new pieces (got a new water pipe last month) and vapes…but now seeing how they treat their customers who have been going daily for a long time. Just a little thought everyone, Bob Marley is a couple feet down and the people and staff are INCREDIBLE and the service is consistent

When I walked into the store I was greeted by the wonderful, welcoming staff member named Zak. He then went on to recommend me on of the best flavored devices I’ve had in a long time. Overall if it wasn’t for Zak my experience wouldn’t have been as good.

2 days ago, I was in the carytown tobacco hut when I received the best customer service. I was greeted at the door by a young man named Zak. I was greeted directly at the door and was treated with the utmost respect. The young man, Zak, requested me to get a delta 8 disposable. It was a wonderful recommendation, the man knows what’s best. Thank you for the kindness sir, mad my week.

I bought a hookah and used it 2 days later. The glass burst as I was pulling the hookah. Paid almost $200 for the hookah and they did not want to exchange it. The worker was super rude and did not want to assist me. Smh. I do not recommend me this location at all!!

It was a delightful experience, seeing all the different materials that they had to offer. I believe if the young lady behind the counter had a lot more positive energy I was a spend money in there. But it seemed like she didnt want to cater to things I was asking about, so I chose not to buy nothing and Lease

Im a regular at this place. I buy all my hookah needs here. The staff is always very helpful. You can tell who is new because theyre not cheery or talk much at all. They recently switched up the layout of the store. Nice move to get more sales.

We were in the store tonight and Zay was working. He is always very helpful, up beat and polite. He remembers what I usually get everytime, I definitely recommend this place!

Store has an amazing selection with amazing prices. I will be back however the young man that assisted us notonly was he ripped out of his mind but was extremely pushy. Then after purchasing a very nice glass piece along with some other items i get home to find that my bowl piece was not with my water pipe...my wife calls up to the store and they said we forgot to put it in the bag...im sorry you bagged everything else maybe you should have bagged that too...except responsibility that you can not partake and function at your job... I will go back to the store but if this character is there again and i recieve any harassment for trying to obtain what i already purchased then this rating will drastically change....everyone else in the store was polite and courteous i hope my next visit will land an adult employee who can properly function

Some of the best prices and serviceMikey helped me and showed me some pieces and I decided they were out of my budget. No issue at all and was so polite and helpful through the buying process. I will come back to this location again.

Good flavors of juice, but sometimes the bottles be opened before you buy them. But they will give you a new one. Employees are very familiar with the equipment and juices. Also if you ask for a flavor they will know what to look for.

Love this store they have the best prices, best hookahs American made glass, and the workers are very friendly and well knowledged. They will help you out the best they can, they have the biggest glass selection Ive ever seen!! They also have the best working Kratom I have ever tried!!

So i go here to get kratom. Powder prices are outrageous, liquid prices are ok. So if youGo to the locations on vcu campus the prices seem to be different than this one. I purchase one thing from campus for 11.99 and then go to this one because its across the street from where i work and the prices are doubled. The guy behind the counter needs to check his attitude, telling me i should just go to the campus location if i dont like the prices. I honestly shouldnt of purchased anything. This is the second time ive had this issue with this exact same location. He says the prices differ because of location but that doesnt make sense at all, why would a college campus location have lower prices on products than an average neighborhood location. My suggestion is stay away from this place, the guy who works the store is rudest worker for this company. The guys on campus at broad and further down in west end are awesome and knowledgeable about what they are selling. But i will listen to one suggestion this rude employee suggested, i definitely will no longer help his commission and ill stick to the other locations where the prices are fair and not doubled. Its the same company, how are the prices different? Location wise i understand but the logic that a busier store has lower prices is absurd. Im being very generous giving this company three stars, but mostly because this is the only store that does this, and the fact that ive given this store so much money makes this a huge slap in the face.

So out of all of the Carytown Tobacco shops in Richmond, I love this one on VCU the most, pretty nice prices on glass, always a nice variety and the staff is always super chill and nice. Easily became a regular with the customer service I get there and I only recommend them.

They really take your time with their customer! I have literally seen some of the employees spend up to an hour or so with one particular customer just to make sure that they got the proper Vape system that would suit them the best. I always like stopping in. Also just about every staff member I met is very educated in all areas of the store. Youre never getting that I dont know answer that everyone hates. Carytown tobacco brings optimum variety and a fresh innovative experience to the RVA. Adam is very experienced and knowledgeable about all products. I just purchased my start up inventory for my own hookah services business and he offered more information and insight than I could have ever expected.

Before yesterday I had never been inside your establishment. Man what a first impression....We arrived around 2:20. A man wearing a blue shirt greeted us as we came in. He was so friendly with his cell phone attached to his hand. And then proceeded to use his speaker phone to be more polite. We were browsing so the cell phone usage didnt bother us. I finally took a look at your products in the glass case on the right side of your store. I asked to see a couple items. He let me see them. I asked him about a small item. He handed it to me and I explained how I used to have one just like it and I needed that for sure. I handed it back to him and he placed it behind the counter. I then proceeded to the left side to look at the large glass pieces. He came over and immediately tried to sell me on a few pieces I asked about. Which is ok. I get it. So I decided no, I just wanted the small item I looked at earlier. I go back to the case and he says I have the item. He accused me of stealing a $6.00 item. I immediately said no I dont. Emptied all 4 of my pockets in front of him. Then he had the nerve to say maybe your friend. So after 3 mins of me looking around he pulls the item out without a sorry or anything. So he is on his phone the entire time. Obviously its more important. And then accuses us of theft. Is this how you guys run your business? Because if so you wont be around much longer.....

This place is great and the only shop in town I visit! All of the employees are always super nice and extremely helpful. Their prices cant be beat, either. Great shop!

Not bad for coals and shisha but Im 90% sure they sold me a hookah with a crack in the base for their Black Friday sale. It was about $20, but now I need a base because the very first time i fired it up water spilled everywhere. Buyer beware.

Went in looking for a 5-pack of evolve coils, which I usually get at home, in Florida, for $10. Ive seen them online for $14.99.They have the coils, cashier opens a pack to double check its the correct one. It is. Only tere are 3 missing from the pack.Do you sell them individually?- thinking i might be able to just get one, which is all I needed.She looks at the owner, he nods. How much for one?$14.99.Thats $74.95 total, for a single 5 pack of yocan evolve qdc coils.This dude is a ripoff artist.Go around the corner, or give up smoking before patronizing thisbusiness

The manager Terry is AWESOME. He conducts himself with such proffesionalism. The moment I walked the store Everyone greeted me and asked if I need help. The best tabacco shope in Richmond hands down. I also loved Rami & Victoria... the whole squad is DOPE.

They advertise to have best prices in town and that they do both retails and wholesale however that was. It the case when I went and the staff was kinda rude and wasted my time. Never visiting this place ever again

So informative...updated just spent 80.00 and I am set for the month, Im a true tegular there, and I did get a discount on my coils, cape juice, and 2 types of Kratom, one 50 mg and a 250mg..the service is always awesome, wont go anywhere else..keep up the great work!

Bad customer service. Horrible experience..The location on parham is great. Friendly/knowledgeable staff. Very helpful worth the travel if you live in the downtown area as I do. Also avoid the location on Main Street I’m assuming they are franchise because the lack of service at these two locations.

My boyfriend and I come here all the time. First it was for juul pods and then knock off juul pods and now we use vape juice. My boyfriend also got my Christmas gift from here. The prices are always reasonable!

Coming to a small business as a small business owner to hear an employee judge and say some people can only afford two vapes instead offering the buy three get one free offer shows a bias and condescending tone that is offensive. I support the shockoe bottom carytown

Horrible experience, bought a hookah from them that was defective and didn’t know until I used it. Called in to ask for their refund or exchange policy and they said they will only exchange or refund unused products. HOW DO YOU TELL A HOOKAH HAS A LEAK IF YOU DON’T USE IT? Will never go back to them and I advice you to stay away.

Found out today after ordering from an online vendor that carrytown tobacco is cutting there kratom or just flat out selling knock off regardless there ripping you off try taking some of there product they sell place 1 gram in a table spoon of lemon juice witch is know to extract the alkaloids theres doesnt take and break down like known good kratom ask yourself when buying this stuff how can they sell it cheaper than I can get it online this isnt so with anything else in this digital world and age. Its because they are con artists taking advantage of people and I wasnt told anything by anyone its simply science lemon juice break down the alkaloids and plant materials especially after 13hrs in the fridge there product just doesnt do this like it should also pay attention to there packaging I dont for see any Big Time vendor like Earths kratom having a change up in product packaging one pack is shiny the other is not next batch same brand an strain is differently packed these guys are up to something but congrats on your best prices in town yall are a joke people use your own judgment and brains miss informed the owner is a joke

Staff was kinda of knowable about the products I had come to purchase and seemed like I was bothering them more them that they were happy to help.I give 3 stars because the have a massive inventory and if you get the right employe then they you answers.

I found everything I needed but the salesperson I had was EXTREMELY pushy and obviously trying to up-sell me. Otherwise they seem pretty well stocked and have some pretty great sales sometimes.

I went here with my son. Not a fan of downtown(parking) but love this place. The incense are good and any Lil trinkets for smokers they have.

This is the best of all the different locations and to top it off it is the cheapest, stuff here is half of what they charge at the Henrico Brook rd. location and they have a huge selection. They also will cut you deals if you are a regular customer.

Was looking everywhere in Richmond city that day for a stem piece. Either no one had it or they were going to charge me 40 bucks. This was my last hope, he pulled out a box of them, 5$ a pop. Saved my day!
