Group is 11 and we came for the Drag Brunch on the last day of Pride Month. The food was good but the entertainment was just wonderful. I hadn’t been in over a decade so let’s just say I was long overdue. The Queens were on point and looked amazing. Reservations are highly recommended. Every seat was taken.

Awesome Drag show!!!There are 2 shows on Sunday, 11am and 2pm. We attended the 11am show. The atmosphere was great. Tip the entertainers!! If you dont have cash on hand thats fine, you can scan the QR codes to tip the entertainers.Please make a reservation in advance.Celestia was the host and was Funny!Ms. Godfrey put on a damn good show, straight entertainer!!Everyone was so nice and the service was great.Enjoyed it and will def be back.

Absolutely love their Drag Brunch! Whenever we’re in town, we make sure that we go to Godfrey’s Drag Brunch before we leave Richmond, Va. Highly recommend this little hidden gem in the heart of Richmond for a good drag show.

Attended 11am drag brunch this past Sunday with my party of 7. We were seated and the waiter came to take our drink and brunch orders.I appreciated the MC mentioning how the food takes a minute because it took well over a minute. Food got 2 stars because of how long it took (many other tables got theirs first and were finished eating by the time we got ours; we got ours well about 70% of the way through the show) and because it was average tasting- it was not worth $33 (wouldn’t have paid that had I known the prices earlier too; they were not on the menu to my knowledge, but I could’ve not looked in the right spot). Would rather them have done a buffet style service in the other room that attendees can go to with one flat rate (I attended a drag brunch that did that and enjoyed it much more since I wasn’t hangry).Service got 2 stars because our waiter was negligent and did not come to check on us after he initially took our orders, not even once. He came back at the end of the show (a solid hour later) to clear our plates and distribute checks. The other tables’ waiter was on top of it and regularly checked in with them. We couldn’t even check in on our food because our waiter was nowhere to be found. Then I got the tab which includes automatic gratuity for large parties: that waiter got $13! Without that rule, I would have tipped him hardly anything because of the poor service. I had a few bucks leftover from the show that I gave to the busboy because he was more on top of it to ensure all tables were cleared, and gave us more attention than our server.Atmosphere got a 5 because the queens were great. They catered to an old school crowd with song choices that pleased all ages there. I did wish for a couple more current songs and the show ran a bit long, but it was still enjoyable because of how talented they were.I knew not to expect a whole lot from a club offering a brunch experience but the service lacking made it so I wouldn’t likely attend again.

Godfrey’s is an amazing bakery. Their mocha cafe is delicious as are their pastries. Stop by for lunch for great salads, etc. The back bar is a lovely place to share drinks and small plates or pizzas.Come by. You won’t be disappointed.

The show was AMAZING!!! Our server Edwardo AMAZING!!! The food was good, and it lacked variety. The portion size was excellent. Took a while for the food to come out, but the show kept us occupied and entertained. The drinks were very good, get that pink slush, but watch out, it sneaks up on you.

We were there for brunch and a show. We ordered when we sat down. About 2 hours later, we got our food and it was delicious.The show was ok. Only one performer stood out, actually performing. The rest seemed to walk around, lip-syncing, collecting money.I ordered 6 shots for our table but was charged for 10. When I brought it to the servers attention, he said he thought I told him I wanted to buy shots for the performers. The extra charge was paid by the server, he said.I had a decent time but wont be back.

My reserved seats for the Drag Brunch were at the bar. They were uncomfortable and we were in the middle of the room with the spotlight glare. I had to wait almost 20 minutes for our server to take our order.However these were the best seats in the house to enjoy the show! And the Ladies Served✨🤩🌈💓✨My cocktail, the Madame, was Fierce🫨I recommend their Banana Stuffed French Toast🍌- it melted in my mouth😍

We went to a 2pm show for my best friends birthday.The queens were amazing. High energy and super engaging and entertaining. They called on my friend multiple times and made her feel really special. Celestia really carries the whole place. (Deserves a raise, some tips and some more)Well Tiff, if you had such a good time, why not 5 stars? Ill tell you.We had a party of 8 and all of our food got to us different times. Not 5 or even 10 minutes but 45 minutes apart. The drinks were fine. When you book online they mention its $25 but fail to mention the 20% gratuity they automatically add which brought my meal up to $34. For a salad that was just ok. No alcohol. Seems a bit steep but for the show itself its definitely worth the trip and I would not mind catching another show. Theres nothing else like it in the area.

Fantastic show, friendly staff, good food.Have a snack before you go as it takes awhile to get food. The kitchen is small, so just plan to be patient. You certainly wont get bored while you wait!

A few of my friends and I came to Richmond for a weekend. Godfreys was one of the places that we were fortunate enough to attend, I wasnt sure what to expect as I have never came to a show before. When I say that the entertainment here was out of this world. It was such an amazing time, all of the performers did amazing, The host was the host of all hosts. 😍 If I come back to Richmond, this would be one of my spots to visit again and again. Hell, the food was even delicious.

Great experience. Entertainment is excellent. The food is very good. Drinks are very good. It did take a long time for food to arrive. One suggestion is that the entertainers come all the way down the aisle before making a change in their outfits. If you are sitting against the wall, you cant see what is happening up by the door.

The security guard put his hands on me as a woman that’s insane! i did have an outside drink in my bag but it was unopened and i was saying i can just take it back to my car it was no biggie but he started saying “it’s mine now!” which the bartender replied “you can get it back later” weird… but i told the guard “you didn’t need to put your hands on me like that” because he grabbed my arm very forcefully saying he would call the cops. (which what would they do if i have an unopened container? nothing in va that is very much legal.) He then started yelling at me. Very disappointing and very weird! I had a good experience last time but i won’t be back due to this woman-hating weirdo! P.S I work in a bar too it would’ve done no harm to let me put the drink back in the car and i know that for fact.

Absolute GOD TIER drag brunch. The eggs Benny are the best in RVA and the spicy bloody is a MUST. All the queens were wonderful and I cant wait to come back.

Great atmosphere, beautiful queens, and a great time. We went for my best friends bachelorette party and it was fantastic. Its 7 hours later and my ears are still ringing. Oh and the food was amazing and the drinks were super strong.

A blast, truly! Good vibes, great food (no seriously, never been to a bar with better food), and hot queens. Brunches require a reservation in advance, but the Saturday nights are open and incredible. Check Godfreys out ASAP!

They charged a cover when their card machines and internet is down…they were operating cash only something was very fishy about the whole situation because they were using iPads to charge for which could easily operate with a hotspot…as an out of towner I would never go to this place again. Drinks are crazy expensive and a cover for a bar with about 15 people in it on Memorial Day weekend Saturday…absolutely ridiculous. Go to barcode!!!!

My Bestie and I went for the first time today and we had the best time. The show was AMAZING. if you havent been, you need to go. I cant wait until next time. Very inviting and comfortable atmosphere. I really enjoyed the experience.

This may have been one of my favorite brunch experiences! The atmosphere was very friendly & welcoming. The steak & potato salad was okay, but the drinks were good & the performance was definitely the highlight. If you havent been here yet, definitely plan your visit asap!

Birthday Brunch!!!! and Yess the host was life 😘The entertainment was good professional and clean. If your not from here (RVA) this is something to expirence. Music was good , decor on point. Prior to my arrival the door checked vaccinated cards . Felt good to know all in attendance we vaccinated. Amazing entertainment!!! Lots of fun would recommend for any birthdays or celebrations! The food did take a very long time to arrive, and when it did it was not hot or seasoned, the waffles were not fresh and I wouldve preferred eggos. Great drink options, fantastic service and performances, I just think the food could use improvement, especially considering it is brunch!! overall I had a great experience despite the food.

I had party of 20 for brunch. Everything was absolutely perfect! My mother is 83 and we went to lift her spirits after the death of my brother. The hostess and all the QUEENS treated her with so much LOVE. She enjoyed herself so much ,she asked when are we going back. The food and drinks was absolutely delicious ..... I had the most amazing time for a friends birthday. Hadnt have been to Godfreys in years but went and everything was amazing. We had the best time. Were thinking about making it an annual thing on Sundays once a month.

Great Drag brunch at Godfreys! The performers were high energy and fun, the staff was professional, sassy and on the spot. The food is good, the drinks are great!The entire cast and staff are Vaccinated, so you can feel comfortable.On my vist there was a young woman sitting alone, when asked why she was alone she told her reasons, but less then a minute later she was joined at her table by her new friends, just some other folks to see the show. Thats the vibe that prevails at Godfreys.

We had a great time and would definitely come again. The food tastes great and the show is fantastic. The food does take forever to arrive. Also the music was a little loud while we were ordering so one of our meals was incorrect and with the show going, when it arrived, and the long wait for food there was no way to get the mistake fixed. Also, the person who took our order was a little rude to one of the people in our group about a food allergy.

This was the first drag show that I have ever attended so keep that in mind.The venue is relatively small but open. The staff and service were excellent. I found everyone I interacted with to be incredibly kind, from the front door security to the bartenders. The drag performance was fantastic. I was blown away by the level of talent exhibited. The entire experience was so much fun and inclusive. Definitely stop in and see the show or just hang out, either way you are bound to have a good experience.

First: The entertainers were THE BEST! They were all amazing dancers! They engaged with the audience and made everyone feel like they were dancing for just them! They were running a bit behind for the 2:00 show and food service was really late. There were 2 servers for all the tables. Incorrect food and drink orders. We still had an amazing time and would definitely go again...but maybe for the dinner show instead.

After learning that I have two half-sisters, we met in person for the first time in Richmond and I took them to Godfreys to celebrate our meeting AND one of my half-sisters coming out as bisexual. I slipped a note to my server, who gave it to the show hostess. The show hostess did SUCH an amazing job of making this a special experience for them. On an average day, brunch at Godfreys is fantastic. On this day, brunch at Godfreys was INCREDIBLE. I cant say enough good things

To clarify, it is only 18+ on Wednesdays. Apparently that is a recent - and disappointing, for this old Queen who wanted to take his 18 year old to his first gay bar - change.

Godfreys puts on quite a show. Sundays are drag queen brunch. You get a two hour show and lunch for $25.00. Be sure and bring lots of one dollar bills.

The waiter was excellent. We didnt get our food till 1:30 ...2 hours after we ordered.Food was excellent !!Next time, cause there will be a next time. Going to eat b4 I go and just have drinks 🍸.Drinks were great too!!

This was recommended to us for brunch. Im so glad we came because we had so much fun!! The food and drinks were good! The show was amazing, I kept forgetting to eat and drink. We will definitely be returning!!!On the other hand, what I did not know was that they automatically charge a 20% tip to your bill. I was okay with this, it was a sticker shock when the bill was higher than anticipated. They also must have changed their prices because I saw it was $25 a meal and it was $30 a meal on the ticket.

Went in blind for a Bachelorette Brunch and was absolutely blown away. Immersive and entertaining atmosphere accompanied by a dining experience featuring delicious food and formidable cocktails. Godfreys offered a memorable, classy and fun experience that leaves patrons happy and looking forward to future visits.

I forgot to leave I review when I visited during my 21st last year, but the whole staff was amazing. The bartenders were super sweet and courteous, not to mention speedy. And don’t even get me started on the drag performances, they never fail to slay👏🏽. I can’t wait for my next Virginia trip so I can see the magnificent drag performance that Godfrey’s has to show next. Will forever receive 5 stars from me and I hope you all continue to slay on everyone’s existence, as you should🫰🏽🔥

What a great fun place and way to spend a Sunday Brunch!

Had such a great time at Godfreys. The talent is unmatched, service is spectacular and the energy is outstanding. Im not mad at the $30 price on a BLT as I assume thats to help support the staff that makes the magic happen. The BLT was actually quite good and the drinks were fantastic. Tommy, our server, was amazing!Why only 4 stars? Because someone needs to clean that bathroom. I dont think the floors have been touched in 12 years.

The drag brunch was a fun time. The presentation of the food was well done and looked appetizing and the consistency between plates of the same type was executed well.The show was fun and engaging with a variety of music.It was a good time.

We had a fabulous Drag Brunch today for my friends birthday, the entertaintment from the ladies was second to none. My issue lies with the food service. It took over an hour to get our food and when it had arrived I had to switch my plate with one of my parties since we almost eat one anothers meals. It took so long to get our food, I literally forgot what I ordered. Our server came over and stated I was eating my others parties meal. When I attempted to give it back, he told me I had to eat it instead of rectifying the situation correctly. That truly put a damper on my very first experience at the venue, very poor customer service!

What a fantastic drag brunch. 10s, 10s, 10s across the board! The performers were excellent. They interacted with the crowd well and made everyone have fun. I cant wait to go back.

Very cute gay bar with food and lots of drag. Diverse, friendly crowd. Was happy with the music. Bar service was great! Prices v good.Missing star is for having open-carrying security. No one likes to see a paramilitary-looking dude wandering around while they try to drink and have fun, and it increases risk of serious injury or death if they have to break up a common bar fight. Understood that gay bars are a target but open carry guards are not the solution.

We celebrated my friend’s bday for the drag brunch and it did not disappoint. Food was good, drinks were good, and the entertainment was fabulous. The queens were super interactive and beautiful and perfect. Would love to go back! 10/10.

Drag bunch has to be one of the most fun things to do in Richmond. Also, dance nights are fun too.Keep in mind the drinks are strong. It took me a day and a half to recover from 3 drinks.

The host and show was great, but the waiter we had was incredibly rude. I had to ask other waiters for help since the person I had was very short, snippy, and just seemed irritated or annoyed. I also was at a table that I’m sure was a fire hazard as it blocked the steps. I couldn’t turn around to watch the show without my legs hitting the person Infront of me and also hurting my neck. I would go back if I could sit in a different spot and not have the same waiter. I wish there was a way to rate separately because everything and everyone else was awesome !

Had so much fun at brunch. Paid dearly for it that night and next day but atleast its a experience Ill never forget.

Food was pretty good and the drag queens were fun to watch! The wait staff were all so pleasant as well and they even asked my partner where I went once I stepped out. My only qualm with the restaurant is that I wish they had an accessibility page that describes what goes on during the show. As someone with sensory issues, the music was WAY too loud--like my ears were ringing for five minutes after I finally left about halfway through the show. I would definitely recommend bring headphones or ear plugs if you have sensitive hearing or get overstimulated easily. I would have loved to have known this beforehand.

$30 to walk in. $30 for steak and potatoes salad (five bite-size pieces of steak). $18 for two Bloody Maries. 18% gruity automatically included. Total of 3/4 dancers. I got bored and went outside. There were some funny moments but not worth the cost.

The food and drinks were great, the service was fine too. The show was amazing and fun, however its much too loud. There are no prices listed for the food and drinks, it is not an inexpensive place so plan on spending a bit and there is a cover charge.

I threw a surprise 30th birthday for my friend. This was my first time personally to Godfrey’s. I LOVED every minute of it. The entire staff made sure to accommodate me and assure me that this would be fine & I could enjoy it too. The food was great (highly recommend the banana stuffed French toast.) Edwardo was our server and he was very kind and didn’t mess up anything. Edwardo made a great impression on my group simply because of how quick, easy going & thorough he was! The show itself was super fun. All these ladies were spunky, gorgeous and hilarious. This was worth every penny and I look forward to coming back. Thank you, Godfrey’s!

Honestly its a great place! I only go when its Wednesday and 18+ for the club nights! Its so much fun, must make sure you go with a group of friends. Police right outside the door to make ya feel safe. Id definitely recommend to go and see the drag shows!

Fun show, outstanding food! Only complaints were that our table was by the window and midway through the show we couldnt see due to the sunlight and it was crazy hot. Often had a hard time understanding the host, but that could have been due to the sounds system.If you and your girlfriends have never been ... GO! You will have a great time!!

Went to the Sunday Drag Brunch for a friends birthday and it was a blast! The views were sometimes a little hard because of the dining room setup, but it was still a lot of fun and great energy. My food was ok, nothing overly special but not horrible either (an eggs Benedict with crab and potatoes on the side), but I did enjoy the LOrange Delicieuse, a coffee drink that was a nice start. (I probably would have had another except that I knew I had to drive home, and Id arrived on a nearly empty stomach.) Id read some reviews that mentioned it could take a long time for food to arrive, but once the show started I barely noticed the time.I definitely want to go back, especially once the club is reopened (announced for early 2022).

Always has been one of the spots . New renovations. I went on a Saturday(Homecoming weekend for VSU & VUU), it was barley noone there. The performancers were beautiful and great. The staff was amazing like always. The music kinda boring. I heard Friday night is Black(African American)night. Hopefully it gets better, and the music is great next time. Cant wait to see more they have to offer.

A bartender at my hotel suggested I visit Godfrey’s and I ended up here with family Boy did I have a great time. The show was so much fun, and the energy of everyone I came in contact with was positive and upbeat. The cocktails kept flowing, but the charges were really quite reasonable. I would definitely suggest you add it to your night if you’re a local or visiting Richmond like me.Xoxo Lorenzo

DJ is 🔥!!! We came down to visit from NYC, looking for a place to chill and googled this spot. Def gonna visit again! Music was on point and bar kept me dancing.

The venue is pretty and the energy inside the place is hands down the best ever! From booking the reservation to the actual attending of the event, the people were VERY nice and accommodating. I made the reservation to expose my little cousin of 11 y/o (who recently came out as trans) to the beauty of the Queer community. Godfreys did a fabulous job making thxm feel special and Im so glad we were able to be there. Absolutely beautiful job! 💕Cons: Lack of transparency, food wasnt the best but it was definitely getting the job done.There was NO transparency on pretty much anything.1. I booked a reservation with the venue a week before attending and I was not informed nor aware of the cover charge/attendance fee of $15/person regardless of food/drink. Apparently, the person who books the reservation is supposed to let you know this but they did NOT. I was only informed that if someone in your party did not show, you will be charged for the seat. I understand THAT but there was no reservation fee or cover charge mentioned. EVER. It was NOT on the website nor any of their social medias.2. No food or drink prices were on the menu OR the website but with the quality of food and the caliber of the food, I did not expect the price to be too high. (It wasnt high. Just describing the food.)3. There is a 18% gratuity applied to your check.THEN THE BILL CAME. I ended up paying about $140 for 3 people and 3 meals and 3 (alcoholic) drinks because I was not aware of cover/attendance fee + pricing. I guess that was my fault and Im willing to take accountability for that. After speaking with two waiters, they directed me to the owner who was was nice but he gave me the vibe that he expected me to know the prices and also directed me to the website, which by the way was not updated or transparent either. The resolution was an apology and I was also told that they would update the website and let people know the pricing going forward.I wish this establishment nothing but success as it has been a pivotal part of Richmond, VA for YEARSS! Everyone is truly sweet and amazing but this experience left somewhat of a bad taste in my mouth only because of the temperment behind the pricing. Ive been to other drag brunches before but, for some reason, never in Richmond and there was never an attendance fee, you only paid for food and of course tipped the performers. Ive been to Godfreys Friday night drag performances and that was only $5 with no cover fee so I was a little thrown off. Overall, a wonderful experience but please beware.

After being turned away from another establishment because my child was too young for drag we were welcomed with open arms at Godfreys. The staff were fast, courteous, and fun. The drag show was upbeat and had talented ladies who really connected with the audience. We didnt eat but everyone seemed to enjoy the food so I look forward to trying it next time. My child is 5 and loves drag queens/shows and even has his own drag persona. To be included in the community this early will surely make a difference in his life. We are team Godfreys for life! Bring your appetite and your crisp bills, they will provide the rest!

Fashionista Loves The Brunch... regularly!I guess Im a regular... probably have attended this popular event at least 8 times. It never disappoints. Staff is very friendly, food is great (go for the Eggs Benedict), drinks are strong. And seriously, everyone leaves happy. It is a fun, fashionable (who doesnt like a sparkle), feisty time. Loved this place in my younger days[2023 Edit] OMG!! Blown away with the quality of the remodel. I remember it seemed less grand when I was a freshman (some 10+ years ago) The owner even remembered my face even after 5+ years after my last visit. Bravo! 👏

What a fabulous place to go! I visited Godfreys for the Drag Brunch this last Sunday and had the time of my life. The food is delicious, the cocktails are creative and executed quickly, and the performers are absolutely spectacular. Plenty of love to go around here!! Will definitely be returning.

Never been to a drag show brunch and always wanted to go. Finally went to Godfreys 27 Sept 2020 and it was phenomenal. They’re opened during a pandemic but definitely take every precaution to ensure them as well as their customers are being safe. Sanitize stations all throughout the bar. A touch less menu and tip. Super safe! And the performances oh my goodness!!!! I had a great time along with the people I came with. For a first time experience Godfreys, staff, and the entertainers definitely set the tone!!!! Loved it thank you for such an amazing time.

Godfrey’s was one of the first places we visited (for drag brunch) when moving to RVA and it’s still so quintessentially RVA. The drinks are excellent, the staff our so wonderful, and the food is surprisingly tasty for a bar!

After months my mother was finally able to secure reservations for the drag brunch for our outing. However, after finalizing travel and covid testing arrangements, she received notification that the establishment recently imposed a vaccine-only mandate in order to enter. Initially you could enter with a recent negative test. I understand businesses reserve the right to impose a mandate, but alerting patrons less than a week before the date of their scheduled reservation is quite disappointing.

Brunch and a show! The performers were super dope and very interactive. Wonderful staff and delicious mimosas. Very fun brunch. 4 stars because the omelette was a little dry and small. My advice, get the French toast or a sandwich.

The Art of Female Illusion. First time attending this Drag Brunch as part of an extended birthday celebration. The performers were creatively fun and flawless. Alvion was super classy and hilarious as hostess. Got an appreciation for the hard work it takes to pull off a great show and brunch like this. I had the marinated shrimp salad with avocado and it was delicious. I to go ordered the chicken and waffles (sweet, but they also served a savory gravy version of the dish.) I was expecting spectacular but chicken fingers are chicken fingers yet the waffles were fluffy and delicious. How about that dish be transformed by making the waffles much bigger and eliminate the chicken fingers altogether or making them an add on option. Im just sayin.

5 stars for the (Sunday brunch) show and quality of service, 1 star for knowing when to cut people off. The party seated next to us had at least 4 ladies that were FAR too intoxicated to continue to be served. They broke 4 glasses, sprayed champagne on our group, and were a general and obvious nuisance, one girl left to throw up in the bathroom. This was clear to management and nothing was done. Safe space means physically safe too.Also its $20 instead of the advertised $15 for brunch

Took my sister when she was visiting we all had an amazing time, the performers are great and the host was hilarious. Food was absolutely amazing.

Excellent entertainment, though with slightly less physical touch, likely due to covid. There is a bit of predictability after the first round, however. Service is great thanks to Todd! Also, drinks and food are spot on!

Always have a great time when i go. The drag shows are a site for everyone to see, some of the best queens do performances here on wednesday nights. I havent tried any of their food yet, but their drinks are worth EVERY penny.

It was a very nice place. Lots of interesting and diverse people there. And their drinks are reasonably priced.

We had such a great time here celebrating our wedding anniversary and my wifes birthday. Upon entry we were greeted and seated by name card. I felt like a v.i.p. . The food was absolutely delicious , especially the esparagus and mashed potatoes. Cant forget the signature adult beverages were outta this world. The show was so awesome and the entertainers kept us on our feet dancing and singing right along with them. The price of everything was very affordable. Overall this place is a must visit and we will be back again soon.

The best! Huge windows so you can watch the city street, great staff and you must go to their Sunday Brunch Drag Show weekly. Ive seen gay, straight, families with their kids there on Sundays and Its all in good fun. Dont judge until you go there yourself and Im sure youll agree. 😁

I was not expecting to enjoy the experience, but I loved it!! The food was great, the staff was super attentive and fast. Strong drinks, and the Queens were phenomenal! Most fun Ive had in a long time, I will definitely be back!!!

Came here on a weds night and pretty sure I saw roaches in the bathroom. Nasty place. I guess the only reason this place is still going, is because its one of a few gay bars. One that Ill no longer be going to. I left with dirt under my finger nails, even the air is thick and not to mention no AC! Gotta go outside to cool off. There are other gay bars, dont support this one. Ive only heard things about the owners but from what I can tell, they were accurate. Nasty place! And to think this place serves food during the day! Can someone get the health and food service department in here please?

Great place. Must go to. The entertainment is great. Godfreys takes their clients and customers very seriously. Great for any occasion. The service is wonderful. A great location to support a small business. This is a must go to if in Richmond, Virginia. Service is a five star . Entertainment is great.

I am beyond upset!!!! I was put on the waitlist for the Drag Brunch there for planning a 40th Birthday Party. I checked my bank account which had an overdraft because of this charge. I was not given a call March 15th which is apparently when they emailed me which went to my spam or follow up after that email regarding if it was something that we were still interested in doing. Instead I was literally called 45 minutes before the actual time of the reservation to ask if we would be there. We had to make other plans because of this I am so frustrated and will be giving them a call! So just to let anyone know they do not give your courtesy call you let you know if you wanna cancel or not after sending an emailI wish we could make it up to go again but I am not to sure what response we will be getting from the manager on duty

This has got to be one of the most fabulous brunches in town. The food alone is worth making a reservation, sumptuous and decadent breakfast creations with delciously quick refills on mimosas and bloodies. But the real treat is in the floor show. The ladies are exquisite, creative and flawless in their performance. It is truly a brunch you will never forget! Highly recommended!

This is a great establishment of business for the LGBT community and friends to fellowship along with eating great food. However, every Friday “Saturday morning” at 1:45am to 2:30am, there are multiple altercations that occur at this establishment. It has now become a safety issue and I don’t recommend anyone to go to this institution around this time. I really wish management will handle this situation accordingly as it puts a damper on the community in Richmond. There are also multiple videos as well of these altercation occurring at this establishment. Some people have also been seen with weapons as well. Please be safe if you are attending this establishment.

Visited a friend in Virginia and she took me to Godfreys for the Drag Brunch. It was a great show, the staff and performers were super friendly, the service was fast and the food was great! I hope to make it back there again!!

Drag brunch was a blast! The queens were fabulous, the food was fabulous, our server was fabulous! We were the last table to get food so I was a bit starving but getting orders for every table at once is a kitchen nightmare so they overall dealt with it well.

I checked this place out on pride weekend. There was literally no A/C on. It was a sauna. I am not sure how people didnt pass out dancing. My friend and I left and the security guard laughed because he knew it was true. Music was good.

Walked in pretty early to this place just enjoying new and old friends (2 male 2female). Us ladies were told we HAD to check our coats and pay $1 per coat. Eventually others arrived, they had a small drag show which was wonderful. I did however notice other men and women there with coats and even inquired if they were asked to check them, obviously not. Addressed this on our way out and we were basically told its its whatever therei decide and not to come back. So i will definitely pass on the overpriced weak drinks, cigarette smoke smell, and overall rudeness and wont return.

We took our mom there for her 90th birthday. they treated her like royalty and made her feel extra special for her special day. We loved Jack, our waiter who made the day that much more memorable. Mom said it was a day she would never forget! The performers told her she has to come back every year, so im sure well see you there next year! Thanks again from a grateful daughter.

Fun experience to try at least once! The performers were dressed beautifully in Christmas attire and sang Christmas songs. The Eggs Benedict was also really good.

Wow, this was my first time at this place and I absolutely loved it! The women were fantastic and put on a great show! It was a lot of comedy too. Definitely one of the best places to go for food and entertainment.

We went for the besties bday. And I think you can tell from her face that we had a lovely time. We partook of the Sunday brunch and both our meals were yummy. Service was top notch and drinks had a kick. Lets take a moment and give the ladies around of applause for their preformances. We would definitely do again!

The food is over priced with portions that leave you hungry. The entertainment was okay but disappointed at how there is not much going on. The outfits/ makeup are great but thats it. No actual singing, minimal dancing.

Used to be a dance club but now no longer is one, and hasnt been a dance club for many, many months now. What gives with that? Wednesdays used to be a fun time. Since reopening after the pandemic, the dance floors been closed off and youre sort of confined to a table because all there is are drag shows. Havent returned for this reason in a long time. Need to reopen the dance floor. If you want to see a drag show, Godfreys is the place to go, but if you want to dance with your friends, no.

LGBTQ friendly environment. Was a little off-put by the 18+ environment at first but its so much fun there it quickly didnt matter. Im really glad I got the experience to party here while I was in town and make some new friends! Worth checking it out!

The show itself was fabulous. The cramped and packed establishment made me a little claustrophobic. The food was good but it took WAY to long to get service for food and drink. I would snack before you see the show.

Fun and boisterous atmosphere serving up some of the sassiest shenanigans around! Pours are heavy, the queens are relentless, and the food is good for what ails ya.

They tell you its 25.00 bucks for brunch but you end up paying 28 and some change. Performances were good. My check was 83.00 for 2 of us smh.

The food was great. I thought the show would have been a little more entertaining. It was kind of all the same routine. But none the less, we still had a great time.

Godfreys is amazing. A little smaller than what Im used to. (Im from Philly) but I felt more than at home here. I went there for purple night and really enjoyed myself. Im definitely visiting them again

Best drag/gay bar in Richmond. The staff is fast so you won’t have to wait too long to get a drink. Cleaner than Babe’s and a younger crowd than Barcode.

Ive been to Godfreys hundreds of times over the past 20+ years and never have I ever experienced or witnessed any of the vicious and malicious events that are being communicated. Its clear there is a group of college KIDS that are out to get someone because they cant get their way. Pay no attention to the few negative copy and pasted remarks. Experience the venue and its awesomeness for yourself.

Im never disappointed coming here. The place is full of energy. The staff is beyond amazing (seriously tip the bartenders well) and the queens are everything. They have a good sized smoking area out back.

Me and two of my girlfriends went to a Saturday Brunch, 11am. The food was fan-frickin-tastic! We ordered and shared the banana French toast (foodgasm!), the breakfast BLT and the layered cheese omelet. We had the Classic Mimosa and the Malibu Mimosas, BOTH DELICIOUS! The performance was AHHHHH-MAZING! If youve never been, GO! Be sure to take 1s, 5s, 10s and/or 20s to tip the performers, they MORE THAN EARN IT! 3 Mimosas, A round of jello shots, an entree was about $34 before tip...SO WORTH IT!

I love the entertainment! The food and drinks are fantastic. The MC is so funny. I wish it were a tad bigger though. I kept bumping the seat behind me.

I had a reservation for 10 on Saturday for a girlfriend 55th bday celebration. We had a ball. The entertainment, the food, the drinks were amazing. You cant beat the cost.

When Fieldens closed I thought Id never find another place to call my own. Then I discovered Godfreys. The bathroom stalls are clean and the toilet seats are the perfect design and height for hours of maximum comfort.I never leave Godfreys with an empty stomach...even when I dont buy a meal ;) ;) ;)

The music is okay, but this place is just dingy and the servers are rude as hell. Dont attempt to go outside because the rude guy that works the door who remind you of old man from Pawn Stars will make you pay to get back in. Uhh have you heard of wrist bands perhaps.

Tight fit at tables, but absolutely everything else was fantastic!! Drinks are subtly strong!

Godfreys is a drag queen bar so they do not serve food. They serve wine beer and mixed drinks. They are open on Wednesday Fridays and Saturdays if you get there before 10:00 theres no cover charge.

I wanted to update this. I was invited out to godfreys, however I was banned there for literally no reason other than my ex asked the owner to do so. I honestly had no intention on going anyways, so I got them to go somewhere else for drag night. Thirstys does drag night and is free to get in. Im glad godfreys lost our business that night over something petty. Ill continue to try and steer people away from here. There are so many places that now do drag night. Avoid here unless you wanna pay top dollar for drinks and $5 to get in.
