The Bouncers whom are black or fake security guards need to be fired they discriminate and harass you happened as soon as we hit the bar. We couldnt sit at the bar per the security guard who made us remove the chairs and place them behind us and he just kept looking over at us and talking to another security officer wanting to start a fight. We always recommend this place but after tonight never again. 03/16/24!

Can I give 6 stars?? Wow this place awesome the band is great. Wonderful mix of songs. They even played Alice In Chains and Metallica for me!! Hell yeah.The bar has great strong drinks.The staff is attentive as prompt. Definitely recommend to give them a try

First off I would like to say me and my fiance were in San Antonio for vacation and we wanted to go somewhere nice and hip for new years. We went for the New Years party and we had a blast! We had dinner and they had a live band taking requests to sing any song and they were amazing! Our server was extremely good anytime he noticed that our drink was getting low he would ask us if we were ready for another drink. Everyone there was extremely nice and the atmosphere was definitely amazing! I would recommend this place to anyone!

I was bar hopping at the river walk and every bar let me in with a tear in my drivers license. The door guy looked at it, scanned it and brought a manager and said no. Atleast they were nice about it.

2024 UpdatedLove the club, the atmosphere, and the staff. However Ive been trying to contact them lately about VIP tables, and theyre happy hours they used to have before. The last two weeks Ive contacted through their website and social media for two separate birthday parties we wanted to have there Left my number. They seen that it because it says seen on my social media messenger..And never get responses back. This put me in a bad position on my birthday. Where I even went there during the day to see if someone was there but they werent. So I had to have my party somewhere else at a restaurant. Then we came and the place had several tables that werent even taken or reserved before at mercaba.Govfigure You got a respond to sell tables. They should work on that. I took one star off because I still like the place and had a good history with them but I really felt like taking two.2018Great up scale club. I reccomend reservations with Nathan.

Not a classy place at all. The guys working the front door are the kids that never made it past high school. Idiots looking for a fight all the time. I highly recommend you look somewhere else. Had a horrible experience here and did not feel safe.

Went to Merkaba last night. Yall this place is tinnny. Its the size of a taco bell. The dance floor is even smaller. If you like dancing while constantly being pushed in the back by people who are trying to walk by then this is the spot for you. The bartenders are awful. Its like they pick and choose who they want to serve. If you want to get a drink you have to wear lots of gold chains or if youre a girl you have to be a 10. I had 3 male bartenders look me in the eye and still go and help other people who walked up after me. I was bouncing around the bar trying hard to get a drink. My friends and i left without NEVER getting a drink. We were in line 40min. If you want to have a fun night with some drinking and dancing this is NOT the spot. San Antonio has way better spots.

I love this place! The music is always 🔥. The drinks are tasty, creative, but very expensive. Keep an eye on how much ice is put in your cup because they will pack the entire cup with ice. Other than the expensive drinks, I love this place!

You know I did love this club but the DJ on this particular night was rude as sugar honey ice tea. He took others request but when I approached him for a simple request he just dismissed me rudely. It’s funny because this particular nights they were letting people in free when there is usually a coverage to get in but now I know why. Be fair and get it right.

Came out on a Friday night. Great band performing live music. Drink prices are downtown prices. About seven bucks for jack D. Clean environment. Good setting. Not strict on dress code despite a nice establishment.

Go here if you want to get ripped off. Menu price for shots are listed at $7 but we were charged $10. When we called them out all they could say was “that’s an old menu”.. yet these menus are all around the bar. It’s active highway robbery.

Me and about 10 of my friends won a free VIP party. WE HAD AN AMAZING TIME . DJ PLAY A GREAT FREAKING MIX. Drink options were okay for 3.00. I wish the bartenders could have been a little more creative. But it was fun. Nathan was the manager that helped us all night . He made sure we were comfortable

This is a really neat place to host a private event. Every member of the staff made our event great. They are very flexible and allowed us to customize our event to fit our needs. I would highly recommend.

Pricey, but you gotta love the dueling pianos! Cover charge as well as pricey drinks. Very little room upstairs where the fun is, and they are strict about you not standing in the walk areas! Overall not too great, Ill try a different place if I ever make it back to San Antonio.

My boyfriend and I were visiting San Antonio for the first time. We were looking for another club we googled but couldn’t find it. While driving we saw this club and spoke to the doorman Trent who told us we should come inside and he was definitely right! The drinks are fairly priced and made well. The bartenders are great, the DJ plays diverse music, everyone who works there is amazing (especially Trent) This was such an amazing night we came 2 nights in a row! Plus the second night Trent remembered us and came to say hi. We will definitely be back next time we’re in San Antonio

This place was packed shoulder to shoulder on a friday night. We barely had enough room to jump up and down to the music, but couldnt really dance unless we wanted to constantly bump into everyone else around us. But the bartender was fast and the DJ kept the music playing.

Had fun. Enjoyed the music. Ended up getting kicked out for no reason given to me. I was completely fine and sober. Didnt throw up or start any fights. They simply told me that I had to leave. I have no idea if a review will help, but just no that I will no longer be attending your place. If it wasnt for getting kicked out I would of said, hey fantastic place. Good service and a pleasant atmosphere. Nope now I can just say that the entire place is trash and the staff treated me as such for no reason. Poor representation of what a MERKABA should be like. Drunvalo would be ashamed. If I had been given a reason other than, because we said so then maybe youd get 2 stars, but no. To hell with your venue. I hope it burns.

Wow! Where do I begin?! From the perfect location, to the beautiful ambience, and the amazing staff! Everything about Merkaba will make your night in San Antonio an unforgettable experience! The specialty cocktails tasted amazing and even the little touches to the menu made it feel so personal. Service is amazing and the food was delicious! I had an amazing time sitting on the outdoor patio with family, listening to music, drinking, eating and taking in the beauty of the river walk! Itll be a decision you wont regret!!

The giant drinks were delicious. Shared between 4-5 people. It was plenty yay. Music was excellent

I gave an employee 20 and she said I gave her a 10 proceeded to give me 2 dollars back... Totally unacceptable, dishonest and disrespectful. Her boss accepted her word and didnt even try to fix the problem.

Came here this past weekend with my girlfriend and her sister. Everyone was super friendly and drinks were awesome and the DJ was on point!! If I am ever in town again, Ill definitely be visiting again. XOXO from Houston, TX.

Just what downtown San Antonio needed. Besides the drinks being unique and yummy, the DJ was awesome. It was also nice knowing I could sit down if I wanted to and not every seat is reserved, like some nightclubs. They also offered food from Paesanos and I didnt have to leave Merkaba to get it. I arrived right before happy hour ended and ordered one of their featured cocktails for a reduced price. After that ended my friends and I shared their Rainbow drink. Yumm. Its in this huge beautiful glass that lights up. Go here, its great!

Me and my friends came over to San Antonio from Dallas and Missouri for Thanksgiving and we decided to visit the city and check out the parade,while our kids and wives waited for it to start,the dads decided to check the bar accross the street after a good recommendation from a local. Merkaba has a good vibe and good drinks,the bartender miss Kaylee was very nice and helpful,the only issue we had was the lady checking our driver licenses,very aggressive in her way to address and speak to us upon our arrival as if we came to rob the place. As my friend was searching in his wallet for his id,he ask her to be a little patient,she literally told she didnt care and that he had to hurry. She made us fell as if we were not welcome in that establishment. As african americans its common to face that kind of attitude,we consumed our beer and mentioned the incident to the bartender Kaylee who understood and apologized for the incident.

Just an average bar. Not much going on for a Saturday night as we were the only people there. They had some cheap drink specials.

Update: I was at merkaba, celebrating a friends birthday and when we got there we asked if there was any tables and they said no. Then while we were enjoying our time next to a table we waited for someone to leave they told us someone had just reserved a table and they made us move. That is complete BS and unprofessional. After we had just asked. I knew I should have never come back to this bar. Where they promised gift cards and never come through and I have the emails to prove it. Worst place ever ! DO NOT COME HERE, ITS CROWDED, and not worth it!!!!!! Also I have feeling it was because the people who they moved us for were white and we were not. So my friends and I feel racially discriminated against.I went to merkaba because some friends were there and I decided to meet them. It is definitely not like the photos you see online at least not on a Saturday night. However my issue comes when it was almost two and there was a horrible smell, at first it wasn’t that bad but then it got unbearable. It was a a mixture of sewer, and stink bomb. You could not breathe and I threw up in my mouth a few times with how bad it smelled. Everyone in there grabbed their stuff and made a run for the door because it was so bad. I am not sure if a pipe burst, someone has an accident on the dance floor or what exactly happens but I know I won’t be back here because the issue was not addressed even when half of the people who were inside were then standing outside. I hope you figure that out and maybe get some air freshener.

Possibly one of the worst bar experiences I’ve had. Drinks were expensive but poorly made and the bouncers were extremely rude and somewhat handsy with the girls in our group. Wish I knew why we were treated this way. If you are visiting San Antonio I highly discourage you from visiting this bar.

Tonight was epic besides the fact that the bouncer was yelling and screaming obscenities at some lady, he was so loud and obnoxious that I almost passed this place up but other than that the atmosphere was nice.Also he should be fired and found out the guy’s name is Chris that was so crazy and creepy

Spent a ton of money here, bottle service, and got treated like an inmate. Bunch of hoodlums work here. horrible service. Please save yourself a bad experience as this is not a classy establishment. I would like the owner to reach out personally.

3.5 starsLove the outlook to this place. Drinks are always great!Downfalls, its so loud you cant talk and theres rarely any room for dancing it gets slam packed.

Walked up to the bar to order a drink. Waited patiently, but no one else around me. Both bartenders didnt even look at me and immediately took the orders from two guys who later came up on either side of me. Well, there are other places in SA that I can spend my money. You lost a sale and a tip.

The vibes here are immaculate!! The music is always awesome. The drinks are pricey but that’s anywhere downtown.

This is trendy bar with good music. Its a mixed crowd and a whole lot of fun. This is down in the Riverwalk area and if youre looking for some fun music and drinks I recommend going here.

The place it’s amazing but the only thing make me put 3 stars the door girl she have stamp and she stamp who ever enter the club thats absolutely fine but if you don’t tip that door girl she will stamp you arm so hard just because you don’t tip her?? Thats rude and make me NOT coming back something owner or MG look at it. Thank you ☺️

We won a party but the invitation stated there was food. In the past the Howl At The Moon parties included food. Merkaba is a sister bar to Howl At The Moon they should have stated they do not offer the same as Howl At The Moon party packages. I give it two stars because the drinks were good. I would be careful with the parties as well because we did not get to choose between the two bars.

Do NOT come here if you are Hispanic! The staff is RACIST! The bouncer Named Emmet didnt let us in for no reason at all! We were all good upsatirs but the music was too loud so we decided to go down stairs where the DJ was playing. Emmet let a white couple in that was also coming from upstairs. As soon as we got to the door he stopped us from going in and said that he got a radio call saying we couldnt get in. This was our first time visiting San Antonio and he ruined our night! Mad that I spent money in this RACIST BAR.

We had a blast here it used to be a martini bar named Swig, it has since grown into a little bit livelier lounge setting. good music dancing solid cocktails and right downstairs for more entertainment and walk out the door to the Riverwalk

Had a blast here with coworkers during our sales conference. Nice ambiance and very friendly staff. Kareoke was fun and we will definitely be back next year!!

Bar tender was really good and the dj was off the hook. My wife and I had a great time dancing all night, showing these youngsters how to get down. Great dance vibe.

We had VIP passes to Howl at the moon, they told us to present passes around corner and the guy told us to go into this lounge. We bought drink and stared up stairs and we’re told we could not go up until we finished drinks. No piano in site!
