Supernova Smoke Shop 1 - West Ave

I use to love this place. Ive spent a ton of money here and today I went in and bought gummies. After getting in the car I noticed they were expired by 2 YEARS!! I called right away and was told no refunds or exchanges. WOW!!! SO deceitful and bad business practice. I will never go back, my family and friends will never go back. To boot I was told the owner is out of the country and unreachable with anyone else running his business complaints.

I have been very diligent about not wanting to write a horrible review of supernova because I like to give businesses a chance to redeem themselves. I have been a consistent customer of supernova on West Avenue for a little over two years and to be very honest in the beginning, I had no qualms or concerns because they supply me with, the daily necessities that I need. I actually was able to find a few good products through them based off of good recommendations of the, I want to say prior employees of that particular store and have never had a problem, but it just seems as of lately and I want to say within the last six months, things have definitely changed and not for the better. case in point, I went on a Saturday afternoon and I asked for my usual supplies and I was given almost like a runaround or even a I don’t know what you’re talking about type of vibe with that particular employee, just on regular supplies that I get at least once a week. I noticed after I had made my purchase that one of the items that was given to me without me actually seeing it prior to it being purchased was the wrong item and I went back in the store immediately once I saw it before even driving off of the lot or anything I went back in the store and said you guys gave me the wrong thing. Could you please give me the right thing that I had asked for and Flat out told me that they can’t give me a refund or exchange. I said that doesn’t make any sense. I haven’t even driven off of the lot yet. I literally just made a U-turn back into the store and you’re telling me that you’re not going to exchange, not return but EXCHANGE for the correct item that I had asked for and they said no, and I politely left all of the things that I had purchased on the cashiers table and left and went and purchased the supplies at a closer and cheaper store around the corner from my house. So I went back yesterday, July 12 and said let me give them a try. Maybe it was just one bad experience things happen. I walk in they greet me I asked for supplies I specifically had asked for an edible and one of the first things that one of the employees told me was that I oughta be careful because some of their supplies are expired that a prior customer had called them and complained about getting an expired product And they said that there were still selling it. It’s at your own risk if you buy it and I thought that was strange and I said no I don’t want products that are expired . I’d rather get another product that you’re saying it’s supposed to be, you know, NOT expired And went with that product and I actually bought another product that was even I dare say, trying to get rid of. so I went home and I didn’t think anything of it except for having to again make them give me the correct product that I asked for concerning supplies. SMH . Today, I went and opened up one of the edibles and took a bite out of it and immediately had to spit it out. I smelled it first to make sure it didn’t smell funky or anything, but when I bite it - horrible!! spit out the edible immediately, I turn around and looked at the expiration date on the manufacturing of the edible when it was made, and it was literally made two years ago, lol. I see that to say this I will no longer be a consistent customer and I will always tell people to not go to that particular store until things actually are for the betterment of the customer and not for the store itself. It just seems like they don’t care about their customers, especially if you’re able to sell your customers products that you know that are well beyond their expiration date so for me, I need to spread the word. Not hate to the business in whole just to that particular store. I hope someone of bigger leadership besides the store manager gets a wind of this review - ciao for now and stay lifted friends 😎

This is the 2nd year I bring my wife to their 4/20 pop-up event. We have been faithful customers since. Always have low prices and great customer service . #DjHippieCholo spinning the old school hits that only a good smoke would hit!

The females working there are such a buzzkill. No smile . No nothing and very rudeTold me I couldnt share information about a product to a family member , but when I worked there I was able to take pictures and videos and post them on social media. IDK what the big deal is now .. lame place . Wont recommend

I will say this about this establishment it has a enormous selection of islands very very overwhelming the staff was friendly for the location was extremely unpleasant unclean I also felt unsafe in the neighborhood but I didnt make a purchase but they were extremely adamant about not negotiating on the price

DO NOT BUY way overpriced for a small packet that doesn’t even work just a scam I payed 14$and some some change for this not worth it!

Really disappointed. Out of town so I didn’t really know where a good place.. I read the reviews and chose this place. The lady was nice. As soon as I paid for my overprice disposable, she asked me if I wanted to try them before I left, red flag right away! And sure enough they both sucked. One of them had a little bit of flavor. The other one supposed to be coconut ice just tasted like tobacco. I looked at her and I said OK now what she said she could offer me a 10% discount. I do not recommend the store. You need a new vendor big time.

They had my business after several visits, but I purchased a couple of Delta 9 gummy jars that were on promotion - bogo sale. When I got home, I saw that they were expired by two years. The products are not as effective as the unexpired products Ive bought before, so Im disappointed. Moving on from this shop.

In my 4 years of experience with Super Nova West Avenue in San Antonio I have yet to have a bad day. They’re always super informing and helpful. They give great discounts on holidays and offer an awesome points rewarding system. I would recommend Daniel and shaggy if you go. Do yourself a favor and go to the west ave location for all of your needs!!!!

Been buying these butter cart and when I got one the cart kept shortaging on my cart but others worked. I went to the store and they tested it and it was shortaging on them as well. The best they can do is 15% off my next purchase. These smoke shops offer replacements of your carts if they not working Smokers Paradise, Hazel and smoke, and Planet K. DO NOT COME HERE YOU WILL BE SCAMMED

What’s the best place in town for smoking supplies and the toys smokers use?Supernova 1 ! Fatty and Brandon were working the crowd tonight. Expert advice and knowledge from both guys were cheerfully given.Now if you add the great San Antonio blizzard of 2017 you get smoking snow balls of fun.Yea, I went out in the snow with a girlfriend to play and we ended up at Supernova. Then the power goes out as we exit the store powers restored but the television has gone to the outer limits and is screaming loudly protesting its untimely death.But purchase we did and went outside to only interrupt the employees in their first ever snow ball fight at work and on the clock. What a night and what a nice place to look around and take home lots of neat products.

Let me be honest, this is a nice shop, most of the time. It depends who is working. A few guys working are snobs, if you ask questions they are super rude, like you should have goggled it before you came in. I am not a torch expert and I rather ask then act like I know what’s up. Most every other employees is v helpful 10/10. Also pricing has gone waaay up but I guess they made it.

I used this store for the last year and the quality of employees has just gone down and down from super knowledge and inner personal to now dont even know what they selling. Then today last straw grabbing a device an telling them its turning on before I even pull, only to be looked at with bewildered looks three months ago they would have replaced and trashed the busted device.

Does not abide by posted store hours. I liked that this store was opened later than other stores in town since sometimes I get off kinda late from work. Came by 10 minutes before their posted closing time just to pick up some juice really quick. When I pulled the door it was locked and a Male employee inside rudely said were closed. Great, glad I wasted my time and gas driving over here for nothing.

I want to send a shout out to Shaggy for excellent customer service and to this location for having items you cant find anywhere else.I went in because I had been searching everywhere for the Voopoo Drag 3 including the internet with no luck. This location actually had it and had the color I was looking for too. Shaggy helped me with finding batteries, vape juice, and I even found Red Dawn which you cannot find anywhere else in town. Shaggy went above and beyond by setting up the vape and gave excellent tips on the device. I was absolutely thrilled with my visit and will definitely be back!

My husband and I went there last week. He needed a glass piece. And I went for the incense. But if youre looking for incense look throughout the entire store. Theyre kind of put in random spots. So when I thought there was just one area after I had gotten rung up I found a different area with better ones. So I end up going back for more.Staff was overall pretty friendly. They werent super chatty. But in the location and area that theyre in you probably wouldnt want to be anyways. And dont take offense to that. I live in the area. But I know that theres some sketchy spots and people.Their store is is pretty clean. They have ALOT of product in a small store. So my type A personality and OCD was definitely coming out its kind of like a little hidden gem for me Id love to get my hands in there and start organizing. So if yall ever are looking for just a weekend person contact me LOL.Overall really like the store though. Definitely will be back for my incense. Now that I know where to look for them.

Upon entering I was already impressed by the selection and vivid colors that met my eyes. I began searching for what I wanted, and once an employee, Daniel, noticed my ongoing search he immediately intervened with some well appreciated assistance and a strong sense of expertise/knowledge. Daniel was able to locate the products I required, offered me a moderate discount on my purchase with a sign up paired with my military id, and I got into quite a pleasurable conversation with him concerning politics and our shared stance regarding a plethora of cultural topics. I left spending a little more than I initially intended to when I parked, however I am more than satisfied with my purchases and now consider this my go-to headshop after relocating to San Antonio from Fort Hood. Store owners/company owners, take heed; these are the sort of people you need to continue employing at your locations. 👌

One employee was super nice and well informed on all products. The other 2 not so much. Girl was cursing at 1 employee who seemed useless. Uncool! Prices are lower compared to PK. I would give 5 stars except for the girl who straight up told the employee he was Fin lazy. Almost walked out. Will return but she should be fired.

Its a smokers paradise and they have all you can imagine in their shops. Several shops to choose from and quite a variety of products. Friendly staff and very funny I might add. I gave 4 stars cause I felt it had too much products and I felt like some where hiding other merchandise that you had to ask to see.

Huge selection of... Everything. Got a Delta 8 pre-rolled, and when I tell you that thang was POTENT... IT WAS GOOOOOD. Rolled well, packed fat. Never gonna buy em from any other smoke shop. Thank you!!

Since me and my girlfriend came into the store to look for CBD flower we was ignored instantly. Poor customer service all around, we was ready to spend money but apparently we looked to normal to deal with. The other super nova off marbach helped us out right away and was very helpful. I will never return to this place.

9/16/20. Mask required in store. Employees wearing masks. They stay open a little later than all the other Supernovas just in case you missed the other ones closing time. This location is a pretty decent size and has a sizeable selection. Quick efficient service at 10pm when I went and no line or wait time. In and out like it should be at this time of night.

I visit this shop frequently when Im in San Antonio to fulfill my girlfriends desire for exotic smoking accessories. The store is clean and well stocked and the staff is helpful though not awkwardly exuberant to push its wares. Anyway I recommend it. Enjoy!

Everyone stay away from this smoke shop they always have an attitude and have the worst customer service. If I could I would give this place a -5 star review. There’s a better smoke shop called King smoke and novelty. They have a bigger selection and way nicer workers than this dump.

Came by last week to pick up a coil I always get here, the female cashier with rainbow hair told me they never had that part before and sent me on my way, so I went to another shop. Came back today and my usual shopkeep helped me get the same coil Ive been buying here forever now. Reliable selection but it doesnt seem like theres consistent training. Just gonna have to ask for another cashier if shes there.

As we were shopping, it was very clear he was knowledgable about the products that were offered and answered any and all questions we had. Felt very welcomed and accommodated. Me and my boyfriend were doing a road trip across Texas, and we stoped by the supernova to check it out. Hands down best smoke shop ive ever been too! Cat and Gerald were super nice and helpful! They really made our trip special!

Been there only a few times after being Recommended by several people and never had a bad experience. The employees are very helpful and they love to laugh and joke around with you. A perfect definition of a smoke shop and it blows Planet K out of its own planet :)

This place had everything and more. All you need to do is ask and any of the helpful staff will guide you to whatever it is you are seeking.Located on West Ave not far off of Loop 410, its a hard to miss shop if you are even glancing around (looking to your right from 410 and left from IH 10 LOL.Extremely neat and well stocked with price ranges to fit any budget youll have a pleasurable experience here. And I didnt have enough to buy a butane lighter so I was given a complimentary one by the associate who checked me out. They take all cards even CashApp so drop in and check out the merch. You wont be disappointed!

I usually never have problems when i go to the store, but i went lastnight and the guy who assisted us was not helpful at all. He was just standing there looking at us and the pieces. Wed ask him a question and hed just say oh idk.And to top it off we bought a piece and he didnt even give us the bowl! Like come on.

I bought tatto machine supply the workers didnt even bother to try the machine when I got home it didnt even work, now I need to exchange or refund, they claim I cant get either or, I dont recomend to shopping there ever again, they have bad working attendants, they should be responsible for what they saling, I didnt buy $10.00 worth, I waist enough $$ but I guess it will cover for whatever they putting in their pockets

Worst service ever. I bought a $17.00 battery for my cart. I go outside to my truck and go to use pen. It got red hot and started smoking. I go back in store and these douche bags won’t exchange it. Sorry p.o.s... They give no warranty on products cause they buy the cheapest china product. Buyer beware!!!!!!!

All of the staff in the store on West Avenue are always friendly, and very helpful to assist with all of your smoking and smoke accessories. Their new hours make them much more convenient than the other smoke shops. These guys even carry top of the line tattoo inks and tattooing equipment and accessories. I enjoy popping in from time to time just to see whats new in the store. Stop by and check them out. Theyre definitely competitive with their prices, yet I find most their stock is cheaper than anywhere else. Keep it up guys..looking for another store in the future..

Wanted to like this shop but they do not stand by their products. I get no refunds or excanges in this business and I get why. But the state that the products were not shoddy or defective when I am telling you the are is ridiculous. Thank you. You lost a good customer

A NO2 experience. They have the best assortment of nitrous in the city.Best, friendliest, and my favorite people of any head shop that I have ever been to.I buy a lot of nitrous but they say I am no sperm whale.They stay open longer than any shop in town that discounts nitrous.Their prices are way better than any head shop.I drive past several other head shops to get there.I make a lot of whipped creme, and I burn through a lot of nitrous when I race. Night time racing calls for lots of nitrous.

Ive been going to Supernova since they first opened and everything was in boxes. Its nice to see how much they have grown and all the variety of products they now have. The employees are extremely cool and I love the fact its located right on West Ave. right inside my neighborhood, They recently changed their store hours from 10 P.M close to 11 P.M which I love because I typically get off of work at 10 and ill stop by to pick up some Hookah shisha and coals to hang out with friends. I highly recommend stopping by this shop, and if you have any ideas on products they should get you should definitely let them know because theyre always open to suggestions!

I bought a rig today and and i wanted to buy a ceramic banger but theyre didnt have any so i settled for a titanium domeless. I asked the employee if he theybcould help get it off andnhe was like try applying heat and i said i did and he said well your stuck with it than. Thought this was really cool store one of my favorites .never will i come back here again

Consumer beware.!! Their products are cheap China made products that’s why didn’t they do not give warranty. I bought a pin from here and it immediately catch fire in my vehicle in the parking lot of the place. They were not return my money or give me another one. Bad business do not come here they are a rip off Chinese products cheap.
