DJ ChinaG was absolutely amazing! The closing set was great , incorporating sing-along tracks and showcasing recent queer artists, which really brought the crowd together. The music was on point, with smooth transitions and an energy that never dipped. ChinaG knew how to read the room and kept everyone engaged. Highly recommended!

Went to brunch yesterday for my mom’s 76th birthday. It was an absolute blast. We had so much fun and she was treated like a queen. Thank you to the whole amazing crew at Jolene’s. We will be back!!

Such a fun Sunday Brunch! They had eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles (yes, that’s a waffle), fruit, potatoes and croissants. Type of sausage meat wasn’t listed. Complimentary mimosa comes with brunch, and overall it seemed worth it for $40! The performances were awesome as well but a little disorganized; I think they could refine the event down to be 2 hrs long. Also seating is very close and not conducive for allowing people to sit comfortably.

I’m from Dallas and was in the city for the first time. I got really good recommendations from the place, however my experience was the worst arriving at 8pm at the place and waited in line till 11pm. The line wasn’t moving for three hours. That’s absurd! I suggest to try another bars before this one.

Only been here once while in town from EU, was for UHual all female night and the eye candy was fantastic. Hot women of all backgrounds, love it! Def going back just for that. Plus free before 9pm, good deal before things get too crowded. We loved that it wasn’t too crowded too. Enough people but also plenty of space to chill and dance.

If it’s raining when you leave, they give you umbrellas at the door to take with you! I think that says a lot about how welcoming and thoughtful Jolene’s is.

Were visiting SF from the midwest, and this was the first time my wife and I had ever been to a lesbian bar. I cannot possibly stress enough what a fun, magical experience it was coming to Jolenes! The drinks were great, the staff were delightful, the dancers gave us heart palpitations, and the atmosphere was so energetic that we were just in awe at it all. It was amazing to have a place where we could have fun and be openly in love around other folks like us without any fear; that alone was almost more intoxicating than the drinks! Its also worth mentioning for anyone concerned that this place is super trans-friendly, so worry not on that front! I cannot recommend Jolenes enough, and well definitely be back before the end of our trip!

This was my first time being able to celebrate Pride (and in San Francisco no less!). Jolene’s was full of wonderful LGBT folks from all over the Bay Area the night after the parade- but we know the real Pride starts when we can all share the same intimate space. The music and atmosphere was static.Jolene’s is a place where you can revel in the joy, the resilience, the protest, and the camaraderie that the San Francisco lgbt+ community has to offer.

The Sunday drag brunch experience was incredible. The performers were amazing and really worked the crowd so well. The drinks were pretty great and there werent any issues with placing the drinks with the app.

Went to the drag brunch here and the dancing and show was awesome!! Beautiful community they have here. Servers were good BUT the app that they use for ordering is awful! It was “processing” for at least 20-30 minutes for 3 people at our table and the only way were finally able to put in an order was by creating a new different account. We probably would have spent more money if it was easier to order. 😂 I also would love to see more gluten free options on the brunch menu since I have Celiac. I ended up ordering the breakfast special without tater tots because they are cooked in a shared fryer.

I wish we (still) had lesbian bars like this, in Portland! 💋👩‍❤️‍👩🍸Good drink specials, delicious made to order food, a little on the spendy side for bar grub, but that might just be my lack of comfort with San Francisco pricing 🤣. I loved the wall of pictures in the back room dance floor (wink) and the wallpaper is really delightful... youll just have to visit to know what Im talking about!Relaxed, fun atmosphere.. even on an early Friday night it was still busy enough to feel anonymous if thats your thing, but enough room to move and dance. Ill definitely come back the next time Im in town.

My girlfriend and I visited this summer and were so glad we found this place. We were lucky enough to have landed our trip on Coyote Ugly Saturday, and WOW did we have a blast. The place was packed, music was good, and the staff was super intentional/kind, especially the person checking IDs at the door. Would absolutely come back to this gem in the future. Much love from the East Coast ❤️

Decent drinks and super happy to have a queer, women-forward bar. That being said, music here is terrible (seriously memeable) and bartenders consistently will serve white people in front of you. The people here are generally nice but very white-focused.If you come in from out of town from a diverse area, this place may be a culture shock.

I would give more stars if the brunch didnt require downloading and using an AWFUL app, which made service terrible. All of us at my table got our food staggered 40 mins apart and my food came lukewarm 10 mins BEFORE my can of beer. The staff & kitchen were working hard and its clear it was an issue of too much/bad tech getting in the way. I wont order food here again if its via the app, but happy to go back for drinks & shows. Great staff, food was decent, interesting drink options, and INCREDIBLE performers.

I’ve been coming here a handful of times now with my partner and queer friends and as a sober person who can’t drink alcohol the 12-14$ massive truffle fries totally changed the game in terms of what I can consume at Jolene’s. The fries were crispy, potatoey, dusted in truffle and coated in a nice amount of ketchup from the pickup menu. 5 stars cuz unexpectedly good bar fries food 😘Also pool, if you can wait it out on the long list haha

Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for any and all. Usually get some Mac and cheese balls and fries to go along with rotating, inventive cocktails. Awesome dance floor which is usually empty when I go on weekday evenings. Good for you and a partner, a solo work session, or a medium-sized group (plenty of season).

Charged me $13 for a tiny red bull vodka which was kinda absurd given the cover charge was already $15. The place was also pretty quiet and boring for a Saturday night. Music was ok thoughUPDATE: To the the owners, girl I told the bartender I preferred plastic so i could dance/drink and she gave me a 5 oz plastic cup, topped with ice. Maybe next time ask more about a reviewer’s experience so you can improve customer experience instead of making assumptions?

Jolene’s is the spot. I am on the Board of HRC, we have hosted events at Jolene’s in the past and had a blast. The staff was amazing to work with and we had so much fun. great food, drinks, and lots of dancing as an added bonus. My go-to for queer non-male-centric space in SF!

This new bar is so well thought out! They have water pitchers (so You don’t have to ask at the bar and can stay hydrated), plenty of seating in the spacious main room, gogo dancers, great bar food, pool tables, coat check and an intimate room for dancing within eyeshot of the DJ. Such a good club! Honestly, think it’s the best new gay bar in the city!

The vibe on a Friday night is fun. Food is surprisingly yummy, but prices for food & drink tend on the higher end. 10$ dollar entrance fee regardless of what event is going on. Takes forever to get served at the bar. The drinks are expensive and come in really small plastic cups that are filled with ice. The dance floor has no ventilation and feels like you are in a sweat steam room. The music always leaves something to be desired. In addition, the vibe is always very strange and hostile. I have been several times and I regret ever spending any time or money there.

Sunday was my friends Birthday. She had called and messaged ahead of time to see how to reserve tables for all in her party. There was a planned 30 ppl from south bay suppose to show up to celebrate. She was told its 1st come 1st serve basis. So we showed up right when doors opened walked in and saw 3 tables with reserved signs on them. We asked the bartender how we could get tables or even reserve them. We told her what we were told. Her reply is I literally have no idea. That comes from the owner. We thought that was weird but settled for bar sitting even though we knew it wasnt going to be enough space for us all. As time went on now 3hrs into the show I wanted to try some of my friends mimosa. So I poured 2 oz in my 4 oz water cup. With quickness the male bartender jumped down my throat. Going off on me about how I didnt pay for the mimosa. And I told him no my friend did I just wanted to try it. He continued to tell me I couldnt bc I didnt pay for it. I said so is sharing is not caring here he said No sharing is not caring here he told me that I might as well drink it now being that I poured it. I told him nm he turned me off to it and I didnt want it anymore. From that point on I didnt order anything anymore.Look ppl I get if its their policy you cant share bottomless mimosas but dont talk ppl so rudely. Especially if you do not have that posted anywhere not even on your website! Seriously there are different ways to tell a customer what the bar policy is. In all none of us in the party were impressed or really happy about the service here. We will not be back. Thats 22 ppl from SJ who will only be speaking about how bad their experience was here.

The place is nice but the attitude of the bartender is terrible, a rude, ironic and racist attitude. I dont think I will go to that place again because I didnt like how they treated us. Its a shame because the food is delicious, but as long as they dont change the people who treat us badly. I dont think the customers can lift that place (the bartender who served us poorly)
