Half the time it’s fine, but half the time I have a terrible rude experience with the people working the front desk. There are more gracious massage / facial businesses in the city. I have been going for years and it’s gotten worse. Beware of buying a Groupon from here, i felt like they treat you like trash for trying to use one

I had a massage on Mother’s Day, it was wonderful. Zeek made sure the pressure was exactly what I wanted. He was very good. I will go back for sure!

Didn’t feel awkward or vulnerable at all, super professional and gentle. The Intensity of the massage was perfect, didn’t hurt (like other places).Will come back, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I have never visited this place before. However, I have attempted to call the business on MANY different times on different days. I have also messaged them through their website. I have received NO return calls or ANY reply to the messages I sent to schedule an appointment.How disappointing is that?!

Really nice staff and great reception, really sweet people. The massage, however, is only okay. Probably the worst massage I have ever gotten, weak pressure, no feeling for muscles and just press, not great technique. I feel bad but also, the owner should have had made sure their staffs are well-trained and up to a certain standard.

I found this place on Groupon and got a nice deal for a 45-minute massage. The front-desk attendant, Jason, was friendly and patient. My therapist was a pleasure to talk to and gave a wonderful massage interspersed with conversation. My back was sore after a long flight and I slept much better after my appointment. I’d definitely hit them up the next time I am in SF.

James and Vincent are the best and most skilled massage therapists ive ever met. Truly gifted. And Bugie is the most friendly associate, hes half the reason ive become such a loyal patient and advocate for this place. Thanks again team!

Such a wonderful and straightforward spot if you are looking for a conventional tanning bed option in the city. Parking in the neighborhood during the week is always easy and I can be in and out in 20 minutes or less.

Good massages at a great price! Ive had 3 massages from Andrew, and he always focuses on the areas where I have tension, and makes me feel so much better!

Very bad customer service. Just making an appointment is complicated by the bad attitude of the Front desk guy.

I bought a Groupon which the business refused to honor. The owner was very rude and disconnected the phone twice while I was asking about this. He told me that they dont make any money off the Groupons and that I had already used it before (I bought a package in 2021 previously and the Groupon clearly states I can buy one every 180 days). The owner refused to even hear me out. I also wonder if there was a racial bias in his tone.

Decent massages but terrible service. I ended up in the hospital on a Saturday but was not able to call to cancel until after their business hours. So I left an email explaining that I needed to cancel because they have no voicemail. Then got a really rude call on Monday telling I did not show for my appointment. After I explained what happened and that I was on crutches and not able to make they were again quite rude in telling me I no showed. So this is mostly a public warning that their actual therapists are decent but the scheduling staff leaves something to be desired.

This place wouldnt accept the Groupon I purchased. On the groupon site, I dont recall seeing something stating that the groupon was for new clients only. I thought this was bad business practice and felt like I was duped. Wasted my $$$ and he wont even give me a refund.To be fair, the massages I had over here were pretty good. The place definitely needs a makeover as it looks old and the rooms are pretty small and cramped. The masseurs who worked on me were nice and did a fantastic job. Just beware when purchasing a groupon. Because of this experience, I am never coming back.

Canceled my appointment within an hour of the actual appointment time without even so much as an apology. Like the other reviews have stated, the receptionist is in dire need of a few customer service workshops or he should just find a position where he doesn’t have to interact with customers.

Good for the first visiting. Founded this place on Groupon. I was surprise that a could make an appointment on the next day.  The massage was okay, but the room was small, thats why I was nervous. Luckly, the masseuse was so nice. Try visiting again.

I saw this place on Groupon and thought I would give it a shot. I was extremely impressed with the customer service when I called in to book my appointment over the phone. They were highly accommodating and I was able to get in the same day right after work. I was paired with a gentleman named Tony and it wound up being the best deep tissue massage I’ve ever had in my life.I walked out of that room not knowing what year it was, how to speak, or if I was still on plant Earth. It was so good that I threw down for a package deal before leaving and I’m broke AF.This place is not a want, it is a NEED. Like breathing or sleeping. Make sure you ask for Tony!

Great location in the Castro! I originally came here with a Groupon for a massage. The massage was solid. The place is older and the massage rooms small, but its to be expected with the location. I believe that they offer other services as well.

Some of the best massage professionals in SF - discovered thru Groupon so got great deal! Ended up buying 4-pack for $208 which is fabulous for 1-hr massages. Regular rate of $120/hr is way too steep so wont be back w/o another deal. If you have that kind of discretionary cash, give it a try, you wont regret it -

Ive been coming here for years! Love the waxing services by Pablo ! So nice to have lgbt friendly wax services!! Ive also had numerous messages by Cesar, who is a naturally talented healer and body worker who is obviously very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. Going to Cesar is like going to a massage master! This place for me, is one of the reasons Id find it hard to leave the Castro ..

People there are passive aggressive and have too much attitude. All they care is to get your money and don’t care about your skin. Esthetician himself seems as knowledgeable and caring guy but front desk just wanted to get your money. They are located in super narrow shady hallway and it smells like toilet all over there. Please save your money and time and don’t go there. Really regret going there.

Always have a great experience at Always Tan Skin & Body. The staff is friendly and professional. The massage therapists are very good and attentive. The package deals they offer are an excellent value too.

Massages are always good and sometimes excellent like with Art. I prefer 90min which are easier to book now than in the past.

Way more than just a tanning salon. They provide a lot of different spa treatments. Great location and very clean.

The place is nice enough, but if you expect to get a full 90 minutes with your 90 minute massage, you are mistaken.

A little dingy but still very clean and inviting (its down an awkward alley and in a basement). Services offered are great and of good value, staff is great!
