Rainy was amaaazing! So petite yet so strong. Walking on the back slightly uncomfortable in a therapeutic way, felt really, really good! Very strong and gentle at the same time as she did complete range of motion rotations on hips, ankles & shoulders. Aromatherapy was delicious with soothing wave sounds & music. Had a 90 minute deep tissue Thai massage. Was able to book for the same day. Sean was the therapist, used very strong pressure as I requested. Hit the trigger points with a good kind of pain. Feel much more relaxed already and muscles less tight. Exactly want you want from a strong deep tissue massage! Definitely will repeat.

I received a wonderful massage from Sean this afternoon. I got the 90 minute Thai Aromatic which was very effective in getting my tense/sore muscles feeling looser. The space itself is also lovely and relaxing with many nice little touches including music, sound machines in the room, tea and chocolate after your massage.

Great experience, everybody there was so kind and we had the most amazing couples’ massage. We each got to pick our own type of massage then shared connected rooms. They adapted the pressure to our preference and I feel like a got a lot out of my massage. The ambiance is very relaxing!

Came here for a Mother-to-be massage and they were very considerate and careful. Very relaxing. They set me up on my side with pillows to support my leg, arm, and head. Gentle in the lower back and legs, but good pressure in the neck and back. :) Thank you!

Lovely little massage spot, probably one of my faves in the neighborhood! Very clean, friendly, and they’re very receptive to feedback during to adjust pressure and focus as needed. Also when I came earlier in the year for my birthday they had the cutest little setup inside with a happy birthday sign and a discount for coming on my birthday.

I just finished having a one hour deep tissue massage with Sean. Let me first say I’ve been a hairstylist for 40 years and have a regular massage. Therapist in Chicago and have been to many therapist throughout the years. Sean was not only professional and kind, but an extremely talented massage therapist. One of the best I have ever been to in all the years having massages.

I had another session with Sean today. It was definitely a much needed session, after a long week of stressful work. Sean was able to identify several sore spots and worked at it accordingly. He has a very strong and firm style, however, he is very mindful and asks if pressure needs to be less or more. I felt very relaxed and energized after the session. Thank you Sean for another amazing time. And I also wanted to say that I appreciated that the receptionist, Yui, was very friendly and pleasant. She was pleasant with everyone, eventhough it seems busy at the time I Arrived. Thank you Wela for a pleasant time.

Wela is amazing. I have been coming here since it’s opened and have had only extremely positive experiences. I have received the Thai aromatherapy, office syndrome and deep tissue massages - all of them have been spa level quality (for a way more affordable price point). It is truly a little oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city. I always recommend Wela to my friends when they are wanting a massage. I’ve also given gift certificates here as well :) it really is the best!!Tip: Nes and Nancy are both very talented and I would highly suggest booking with them :)

Really clean and nice facilities, I enjoyed my deep tissue massage here. I will say I wasn’t a fan of the scent they had diffusing in the main hallway/rooms—kind of an artificial lemon + eucalyptus smell but I’m sure plenty of people enjoy/wont mind it. There were also times where I got chilly during my massage—when my extremities were extended from under the blanket while on my back for instance. Front desk staff very friendly, this isn’t a bad spot if this is your hood/price range.

This was my third time at Wela and it never disappoints. Today was my first time with a male masseuse which Ive always been hesitant about but it was perfect. I cant wait to come back again. So glad this place is in my neighborhood.

I tried Wela Thai Massage and Spa today and was not disappointed. The facility is clean, calm, and relaxing. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. The massage room was very comfortable. My massage therapist was very welcoming, confirmed if I like a firm massage, and checked if tiger balm was ok for use. The massage was a 90min Wela Signature Pain Relief and it was really worth it. The hot stones were amazing and I’ve left the session feeling absolutely tension free. I know I’m going to sleep well tonight. I’ll definitely come back to this place in the future and definitely recommend others checking it out.

WOW! I had just arrived in San Francisco from a flight from San Diego. While waiting for my hotel room to be ready I stumbled upon this place. They had a promo for 10% off any service. I booked a 1 hour deep tissue massage. The facility is spotless and clean. The front desk area is lovely! I was shown to my treatment room and given more than adequate time to prepare. Once the massage began I was delighted! My masseuse expertly manipulated the muscle fascia using expert strokes and deep tissue manipulation. She did not seemed hurried for time at all. After my 1 hour treatment I was left like a pat of melted butter. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area!!!!

Had a great time with nes who gave me a office syndrome massage and head massage. I heard my back crack and release which was great. I saw the improved posture which I was longing for. She was considerate of the pressure and really did the magic. I recommend her 200%. She is great and one of the best massages I have ever had. She finished with the calming oil/balm which was very healing to my sore back. It’s worth it!!!!

I came for a swedish massage and booked last minute. It was not swedish massage. I dont believe the person was trained in swedish massage. My masseuse moved her hands very quickly the whole time and didnt seem to pay much attention to what she was doing, it was not relaxing more like an awkward rub down. Maybe my masseuse was trained in thai massage and not swedish massage? I am disappointed that I booked a swedish massage and did not receive what I paid for. The place is v cute. Maybe its good for a thai massage or head/scalp treatment.They also ask people to review right in front of them (for a discount on the massage), so you feel pressured to leave a good review.
