Get the 5 or 10 massage packs - they sometimes have 10% sales which make them especially worth.Massage therapists are knowledgeable and kind - especially Kieran and James! I work out a lot and have had chronic neck pain - they have helped ease a lot of that with deep tissue, sports massage, and stretching tips. Thank you!

Massage Grotto is the place to go in SF for quality bodywork at an affordable rate. Between the two locations there are many skilled therapists to choose from, and the package rates are hard to beat! Highly recommend!

James is an intuitive outstanding therapist. I often find that the first massage I get from a therapist is great but the subsequent ones are hit or miss. Not the case with James who is consistent and fantastic every time.

What a gem of a find in the city; the space itself and the attentiveness of the business are great but my therapist, Evan, is why I return. He is truly gifted and has given me ease where there was ongoing tension and pain — whenever I am lucky enough to see him, the rest of my week goes much better because I feel better physically, which of course translates directly to all else.

Great bodywork-type massages at a more-than-reasonable price in a no-frills location. So far Ive had massages from 2 different therapists and enjoyed each - I will be back!I also want to leave feedback specifically for Cheryl at the Duboce Triangle location. I cycle 40+ miles a week, also bike commute daily, and weight-lift 3x a week. Although I do stretch, I have a lot of tightness that Ive been accustomed to over time. I left my 60-minute session with her feeling incredible and not knowing this is what my body can feel like!

Gabee is amazing!!!! I’ve been having specific back pain/sciatica for about a month. I told her what I was feeling and she knew exactly what to do and she did it well! She is very knowledgeable about each muscle group and applies the perfect amount of pressure. She goes above and beyond with tailoring the massage to your needs. Massage Grotto - Kieran in particular - is amazing. Kieran is a consummate professional. His knowledge of the body is unbelievable and he is an incredible, incredible masseur. After my first session, I bought a ten-pack because I felt such a difference - not just immediately after the massage, but for a few days it felt like I was walking on air. I keep going back.

I booked a 60 minute massage with Kieran since I needed to use some Class Pass credit. The space was clean and relaxing. Prior to beginning, he asked if I had any pain and wanted to make sure any concerns I had were considered. He focused on a technique called fascia release and targeted my neck and shoulders since I sit at a desk the majority of the day. I was surprised by how great I felt afterward. I left feeling extremely refreshed without tension in my neck/back, and ready to take on the week. I would absolutely come back and will be using any extra credits here again.

Kieran is unlike any massage therapist I have had before. He is incredibly knowledgable and makes your massage seem like a unique art form. He found old injuries I had and focused on those problem areas in addition to the specific places I asked him to work on. The location is easy to get to, right off the N line at Duboce and Noe and just up the hill.

Kieran is amazing! Came in thinking I wasnt stretching correctly, but after putting pressure on my feet and my thighs, he completely loosened me up. Hes incredibly knowledgeable and is very intuitive. Highly recommend and am looking forward to booking again!

I never had a go to person for anything until I started getting massages with Zeek. Hes an intuitive masseuse who can feel out exactly how much pressure different areas need to loosen them up. I always feel so relaxed and zen afterwards. His hours usually run later in the day too, so its easy to get last minute appointments after work which is super convenient.Prices are also reasonable for this city and for how amazing his massages are!

Kieran understood what was going on with me almost immediately, and with minimal explanation from me. That’s when I realized I was in very capable hands. He succinctly explained his approach, and then got right to it. Even though I could tell he was doing very deep work, it was not painful. I was not wincing, my hand was not balled into a fist. I was comfortable and relaxed. After our first session, I bought a package of 10 sessions because I felt confident that Kieran could help me. The space is quiet and comfortable, and Kieran is a welcoming practitioner. It was easy to book online, and confirmation emails provided all of the info I needed. Great service experience!

I just had a session with Gabee at the Duboce location. The location is kind of hidden among the other houses ok the area, but the ambiance inside was great. She made sure to check-in to make sure I was comfortable throughout the massage, and worked really hard to get all the knots out. She was even able to tell that I had had an arm injury when I was in my teens! I feel refreshed and easy for my half marathon this weekend. Thanks Gabee! I’ll definitely be back in a couple of months.

Great massage, really thoughtful therapist. He was very sensitive to an injury I had and really worked to make sure I was comfortable. Id definitely recommend this business.The building is unmarked so you need to look through *all* the confirmation emails sent by the booking website to get the door code.

My experience with Kieran has been phenomenal. He has a deep knowledge of the body, both anatomically and spiritually, and has been extremely generous with his knowledge and honed bodywork skills. I hope to work with him more in the future.

Evan is the greatest! He checked in a lot and made sure that I was comfortable (which was really nice cuz it was my first massage). I stg I felt like I was walking on air when I left. Book him!!

James is an excellent masseuse! He was very thorough in working on my problem areas with the perfect amount of pressure. I learned a lot about my body from him too. He followed up with me a few days after to check in and ask for feedback which shows that he truly cares. He’ll be my go-to from now on!

Ive been going to see Zeke for a few months now and I cannot recommend his services enough! Hes incredibly thoughtful in tailoring the massage to my needs and wants, and is always such a joy to see. I especially enjoy the heated massage table and soft music that plays to create a relaxing ambiance.

James was excellent! Helped me to understand my alignment and even how I can be better stretching or strengthening certain areas. I like coming to the Grotto because I get more firm massages, though I’m sure they can also do lighter touch as they take a lot of care in asking how pressure feels.

Evan is an amazing masseuse and always does a great job. He always asks what ur needs are and checks in. He works all the knots and pain out of my body. Highly recommend. PLUS its a great price. Go here!

Zeek is great! He works late into the evening and you can oftentimes grab a last minute opening. He worked at the Ritz Carlton in the past and has a TON of experience and is super intuitive. Def go here for reasonable prices on massages with excellent practitioners.

I had an amazing massage with Zee. I have had 2 more massages with Justin earlier. This is an excellent place to get massages as these guys are amazing. I never have a bad service. The fire place and warm mat over the massage bed are great and the location at Duboce is super convenient. If you haven’t already booked them or are on the fence about it, don’t worry, just make an appointment and you will definitely love your massage.

Kieran is a caring, honest, and very skilled rolfer. He could immediately intuit all kinds of problems with my fascia and backs it up with a very deep and scientific knowledge of anatomy. I finally felt my shoulders for the first time in I don’t know how long lol

Kieran is not only a wonderful sports massage therapist with decades of martial arts experience, hes also a Certified Rolfer and helps his clients recover from strain patterns as well as posture and movement problems.I highly recommend him especially for cases of recurring pain and tension that keep coming back. Hell get to the deeper roots of the problems and helps find new patterns out of the old rut. Hes also hilarious if you encourage some comedy.You can just ask for a good deep massage and hell deliver, but if you want to find new neuropathways in addition to what already works for you, ask him to do a short evaluation of your gait and posture and work within a Rolfing framework.

Kierans bodywork had me in a trance! Booked a 90-minute session for my first time and will certainly be back. Extremely knowledgeable masseuse.

WOW. I’ve had a LOT of massages with many different therapists, but Justin’s was one of the best by far. He’s very intuitive about the levels of pressure needed in different parts of the body and just truly has a healing touch. I came to Justin with some shoulder issues (working from home isn’t all roses) and he paid the special attention he could tell I needed. I can’t recommend him enough; a true master of his craft.

I have been seeing Zeek regularly for last couple years. It has truly helped alleviate my pain. Zeek is amazing! He’s helped with neck pain from a wreck, sore back and super tight hamstrings and much more! Overall my body can perform better because of him!

I had a pleasure of getting massaged by Zeek after a 3 day backpacking trip in Yosemite. I specifically asked for my neck/shoulders and my calves and boy did Zeek figure it all out. I first found Massage Grotto via ClassPass needing to use up points that had built up during a season of injuries.I’ve seen Evan most recently, and I forget the first person who helped me back in Aug 2021, but they were lovely/helpful, too!Convenient location, calming environment, high attention to detail & care.Parking on the street during the week is more challenging due to hospital and medical building across the street — arrive early as you may need to circle the block, or park up a STEEP hill. Justin is the best! When it was time for me to seek out a new massage therapist back in 2019, I decided to see what deals were available on Groupon. I hadnt come across the right practice until I was able to successfully make a connection with Justin. I specifically needed trigger point therapy due to my ongoing symptoms related to TMD (temporomandibular joint dysfunction). Hes super friendly, professional and reliable. I will be an ongoing client as long as he is practicing. I highly recommend his services!

Evan was excellent! Worked on my preferred areas and checked in on pressure. Atmosphere so cozy with the fireplace, water fountain, and the HEATED table! Highly recommend.

[Classpass review] NO CALL NO SHOW. Justins system is not properly connected to Classpass and expects users to go through a terribly complicated flow - booking through CP and then again on his website to make sure that appointment time is available.I never received a message from saying he was already booked for the time slot I booked on Classpass. When I arrived, I waited for 30 mins and Justin did not show up. Didnt answer the phone or text back.He messaged me later on saying that he was vacation and that is the process to schedule a massage. When I book on Classpass, it should be simple - I use it for convenience so I dont have to deal with every providers website and booking system. So Justin needs to get it together.He is also very terrifying/aggressive in that he threatened to sue my friend for a Classpass review she didnt even write. Sounds like someone who cant handle feedback to me.I wouldnt make an appointment here, simply out of fear that Justin will go from normal to scary.
