I was not expecting the top notch service that I received when going to MedMen today. I have never reviewed a cannabis store before but I feel that the owner of this establishment should be recognized for the effort put forth in creating a modern chic establishment with employees who seem to love their job. A good manager knows that happy employees means happy and success for business.Nicholas V. was our bud tender and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. My boyfriend and I thought we’d be in and out but we we stayed because we were drawn to the different displays and good conversation.It’s not that I have ever had a negative experience in other cannabis stores because in my experience, all have been quite pleasant. However, I have yet to enter a cannabis club that made me feel like I was walking into an Apple store with my boyfriend but felt like Breakfast at Tiffany’s walking out. All the products were neatly displayed for customer viewing and smelling, kind of like Don and an Old Fashion in MadMen. 😉No hate to Airfield Supply Co. but we had originally gone to there and then left because the prices seemed ridiculous for the quantities given and MedMen had better prices and specials.After the church shut down Airfield was the only place in the downtown area. So it was very combiner and is a great location from a business stand point.Thank you to Nicholas and the rest of MedMen staff for your hospitality. Needless to say we will be coming back.

I really hope they reopen. Ever since Imani became Manager I have been buying from medmen exclusively. Imani is a great leader and significantly improved Medmen since joining the team. He hired great people who provide service with a smile. I love the Apple Store like atmosphere of this facility as the service is great, in particular Imani. He treats customers and his employees like family.I truly appreciate Imani and all his efforts in bringing a positive attitude and culture to this facility. If they reopen I certainly would expect Imani to continue leading the ship.Thank you Imani to you and your team of great people.

Best recreational cannabis place in town. Amazing flower and edible selection. Bit pricey but its worth it. Staff is always really welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Placed a curbside order @9am once the order was “ready” I arrived @11 and the place was closed, I waited 30 minutes for the manager to return and them to open. I was told the items I had ordered were not in stock. After settling for a hybrid instead of a indica, I was given a sativa. I went back inside to get the right strain and it took another 10 minutes to trade it out in theirs system. Complete waste of time, waste of energy, and a beyond frustrating experience. DO NOT recommend, just go to caliva, airfield, or harbor side. Only positive note the staff was nice.

Well to start off this place looks sketchy but hey close to the airport type of place.Secondly they overcharged me for one of the 3.5 of flower products I purchased for $55 instead of $45 like the price tag said. And they promised a .01 cent eighth if I purchased 3 products and I got charged $5 for it.Thirdly they charge you an excise tax on local flower when it should be charged “ONLY” for flower that’s not local.Service wasn’t great and prices compared to other dispensary quality products are too high at madmen.

Horrible experience. A sale was stated online a was not acknowledged in the store. I would say NEVER buy from these OVERPRICED bunch of shiesty people. Plus sales tax comes to pretty much match the cost of whatever you are purchasing! STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!

All around horrible experience, placed an order went to pick it up during their claimed open hours. Was ignored by security. Store had next to nothing in stock place is a joke.

I went in with a litany of questions and the staff on hand was very helpful, not rushed, and focused on answering all of my questions. I was able to get what I needed and the staff also reminded me of some ways to save money. I miss Buddy’s but Medmen runs a very clean, professional operation with great customer service every time I visit. I will continue to come back!

From the first phone call I made all the way to my transaction at their register they had great customer service. Beautiful clean secure location that seemed safe and inviting. Samuel the employee was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! Also they were the only dispensary our of the 3 that I called that actually had what I was looking for, in stock. 10/10 will be back

Im from out of state and stopped in MedMen just to pick up a little something. The tenders were friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful. The products are high quality and the selection was great. I highly recommend this place and Ill definitely be visiting them again! Shout-out to Mikey and Joe!

Been coming here for a while customer service has seemed to take a hit.Seems the experienced is optimized for the 1:1 with a person who has zero clue what they want/need.My last 3 visits have had me being asked, Have you been helped? only for me to point out I have been, my order is up, just nobody is at the cashier for me pay.

Walked in and had an amazing ambiance, amazing atmosphere, tenders were helpful and the line was super fast! But they take their time to help you figure out what your looking for. The menu is amazing they have the highest quality flowers I’ve seen . Check it out.

Madmen is excellent. They always have quick service and everyone there is super great. We always get the same crew that helps us. Mikey, Matthew, Samuel, Brent, Sonny, Jayden and Mariko. They have a great sense of humor also and know the product really well. We come back once a week and are never dissapointed.

Nice venue, friendly-looking advisors, good selection BUT the advisor fooled me three times in one visit:1. I was told that the bottle of an oil I was buying is 15ml while it was only 10ml.2. The terminal displayed only subtotal of $105 while total was $131.93.3. The terminal rounded the charge up to $135 but I was not given any change.I would not mind leaving the change to them if I was asked, but I was not really.I am not sure if #2 and #3 are legal at all.Keep an eye on them.

Always a good experience. They have top quality medicine and friendly service. I have been going here ever since they were on Stevens Creek. If Im unsure what to get or have a question, their recommendations have been spot on. Definitely my #1 choice!

Great friendly helpful staff. Not much shelves or products display to shop from, so the majority of choosing what you want comes from working with the staff thats eager to help. Its not as much self serve as other ones where most people are just behind the counter and you go up and ask for what you want. this one is more like what I would term like an Apple or Verizon retail store. The staff is knowledgeable. Handicap parking is where entrance used to be not where it is now.

Brent R. from MedMen in San Jose was amazing! He’s super knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He let me know about the weekend promo they had going on and ended up spending wayyyy more than I intended, but he had me a 50% off. Lol. Thanks, Brent. I’ll definitely come back to MedMen.

All the employees are so attentive to what youre looking for, they really take the time to help you out. I wish I had names because theres a few guys there that are outstanding. Great selection of bud, pre-rolled, and cartridges. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

The service is fine but I they are always out of half of what they carry. Hey manager, if you run out of anything you claim to stock, you are failing as a manager. I have been several times for some gummies I like and they have been out EVERY TIME. They carry them, they just run out. ORDER MORE NEXT TIME. Easy fix.

It is a unique approach for a dispensary with its one on one service style and Im sure some people prefer it but the$25 minimum almost felt elitist. I understand youre trying to go for a higher-end store but it just seems to me that while people with money to burn will probably appreciate this service it does prohibit the smaller buyer who sometimes underappreciated but also helps pay the bills. Somebody comes in on Monday and spends $80 is that $80 any more valuable then the person who comes in four times with $20 I think its the same but thats their business model and I will respect it I just need a place that I can make ends meet sometimes.

Since changing from Buddys the store has lost its unique ambience and settled for a sterile environment. Aside from that, the customer service was excellent. I will be coming back to this location as the product is top shelf 😊

Buddys is not a place you go to once. Its a place you go back to time and time again for truly fantastic product, friendly service, and great music to boot. Ive been coming here for over a year (they changed locations recently and are now off 101S) and theres always something new to find. San Jose is filled with dispensaries and it can be hard to choose. But if you value quality, look no further.

Always friendly, professional, respectful and kind... The selection is top notch, anything and everything that youre looking for is there, no matter what ailments you posses. Been associated with Buddys ever since their conception off Stevens Creek and Kiely in Santa Clara. I wouldnt trust any one else with my meds. They know what theyre doing, talking about and displaying. The owner is a very nice gentleman, (with the worlds best dog ! ) and the staff goes above and beyond their pay scale.. Keep it ladies and gents, this is how a business is run proper. Cheers

I visited buddy’s on Jan 1st. When I got there the receptionist at the front desk was rude, frustrating, and patronizing. She clearly had a long day due to the fact that it was the first day of legal recreational use and she let it show when speaking with me. I ended up being so upset that I turned around and walked out the door without making a purchase. I may have caught the receptionist at a bad time, but considering my only interaction with anyone working at buddy’s was negative, I don’t plan to return. First impressions are vital. Sorry Buddy.

Been meaning to do this for a while and by now have forgotten the names of the persons who helped and inspired this review but frankly, the customer service here in s.j. has ALWAYS been great. while informed and helpful c.s. is always nice and imo a minimum requirement, what impresses me about the c.s. people here at MedMen s.j. is that they are actually interested in me(or at least do a very good job of faking it) and what my needs are. Thanks! guys(and gals, can you tell im old?), ill see you soon!...

Im giving a 4 star because the product and variety is on fire absolutely a 5 star. However I was swindled. Wasnt given the flower I asked for. Instead the attendant completely pretended to get it and then charged me for the higher priced product. All though I still received the product I paid for it wasnt the product I asked for. Great place to get your meds but pay attention because we have some quick hands trying to get higher commissions. Really sad because other than the crooks its a great place to get your meds and worth the prices.

This was my first time going to Buddys since CA became recreational.They had a Demo going on, my favorite EEL RIVER .(Grabbed 2) 😍🙋I was very impressed.Lots of space, clean and very organized.I love the set up, kinda like the 60sMy favorite part YOU DONT HAVE TO STAND they have chairs while your shopping and chatting with the budtender.Very kinda people working there. 🤗I grab a Honeyvape disposable pen.Check them out great menu selection.Keep it lit peeps 🔥💨💨

*Edited to add my most recent experience 3-17-19 now that Buddys has been acquired by MedMen. Its terrible! The entire personal experience of having a 1:1 with the folks there is gone. I walked in (they moved the entrance, you have to have your ID scanned twice) and was immediately hit with a wall of RED everything. Honestly, it looks like some sort of nightmare apple store, not that I was a fan of the old school stoner stereotype decor that was up before, but this is somehow worse. Its like a corporatized version of the Sith! Ugh! Okay, so you walk in and you see all red and white (shivers) and 4 large woodgrain tables with tablets built into them and small displays of products within the tables. There were at least ten employees there on a Sunday afternoon and one cashier. Only one person offered to help me but at first simply pointed me to the appropriate table of products. I waited for 15 minutes for this one cashier to ring up my purchase. During that time I saw over ten employees coming in and out of the door behind them in quick succession. Theres only one dog now, too. Shes a sweet grey elder pittie and silky soft as can be. They claim to be cheaper, but with their now complete lack of service and personalization I now have to find a new dispensary. Also, MedMen? Really? We need more places named after men? Do you even realize that women exist and spend money, too? Gross! I stuck with Buddys because they remembered me every time, they listened to my concerns, they assisted me in product selections for my needs. This new place feels icky to me from start to finish.Been going to Buddys since they were in Santa Clara. Love that place, the staff are so helpful and informed. I never remember what I got previously and they always do a great job of helping me find things for my symptoms. Pricing beats most others, too! Highly recommend! They have a black lab, Betty, shes really sweet.

I ordered online, no option to pay online, and total price not shown. At pickup was told there was a $2.95 fee for paying with a debit card. Surprises like this are not acceptable. My $10 purchase went up by 30% since I didnt have cash and wasnt notified in advance.

So expensive there. Shop around before you purchase anything at buddys. 19.25% sales tax is pretty standard I havent seen anything higher in San Jose. I have found high quality products in SJ some which were the same brands at Buddys but much less expensive.

Ive been going to this club for a while now and one thing I can say is definitely a plus is that they are very particular about making sure to follow both local and state laws. Their staff is all friendly, and their constant deals make it easy for even poor people like me to get my medicine in dire need. With walls splayed with all sorts of interesting artwork, and a relaxed reggae soundtrack pumping out at the right volume, the place is really inviting and the friendly staff only make it more so. The bud, mostly (maybe all, Im not entirely sure) is grown indoor, and right on site, so you know that every new batch is something fresh. And instead of many other clubs that use texts to notify you of deals, they put out a professional looking email for their announcements. The dog they have is super cute, too. Also a good thing that they are open on Sundays, as Ive had bad experiences with that day in particular in the past. In fact, thats the day of the week I first found Buddys, because other nearby clubs were closed.

Ripps you off if they see you’re from another state and don’t know what taxes you are paying. There’s better prices and friendlier budtenders in other places that will gladly help you and educate you. Never coming here again 🤠 !The budtender I got here literally looked like this the whole time -> 😒🫤 lol

Good buds here, no doubt. I used to come here all the time...but the prices are OUTRAGEOUS now. They had buds @ $65+ an 8th BEFORE taxes. An 8th. Obviously I went with a better option. I dont wanna hear about taxes/testing cost as the reason why the prices are so high. Ive been to plenty other dispensaries with just as good buds and far better prices...and theyll deliver to me. If $$ is not an object to ya, hit em up.

Came at 11am (even though the store had only been open for a two hours) and was told the entire staff was on break and to come back at a different time.

Nikola/ Nicoli was AWESOME..!!First time visiting, had lots of questions.Visited San Diego location- also equally amazing.Nikoli3 was insightful, knowledgeable and shared best strains for anxiety, depression, etc.He also shared how their CEO had visited recently ^ & fully engaged with staff, and opening 4 new locations within the Bay Area, within the next year.Full pre-roll selection, Lolas, Henrys, and a new one Im trying, Seasonal Harvest.Everything else, was also fully stocked and offering fair pricing ($24-$35/ packs, $14/tax singles).All in all, a great experience

Always a friendly visit! Employees are knowledgeable of products. I dont partake, but I come here for hubby, and he tells me theyre good here. Wait times are always super short.

I just got back from there and I actually walked out Im not someone whos easily offended but I dont get why I why treated so rudely maybe it was a bad day or something but the way I was being spoken to was unnecessary. I came there because of good reviews but now Im questioning the authenticity of said reviews.

Very friendly and helpful staff, affordable prices and very easy to get what I need and be on my way. Just make sure you have your valid ID or you wont get in at all.

Medmen provides a great delivery experience. Mikey and Mariko fulfilled my order quickly and Lahir brought the order to my home with a smile.

This was my first foray into cannabis stores and I loved it. Sort of surreal to have a smiling police officer welcoming me to come in. But, if you are into it, this is the place to shop for it. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Man.. forgot who advised us on the different strains and why we wanted those specific strains but he was very knowledgeable and patient. My wife and I have military backgrounds and I am concerned of the years of pharmaceutical meds both her and I take on a regular because of pain, PTSD issues etc. For myself, it’s been a while, my wife has never been exposed to marijuana. The way the Buddy’s rep took his time to go in depth of the different options that we have, it’s shows that he actually cares about the customer. Buddy’s was a positive experience and we’ll definitely be returning. Four thumbs up from us both 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

After trying another dispensary in the San Jose area, Buddys has my 💓! The quality of the flower is superb, the budtenders are always helpful, and the prices are spot on.Love, love, love it!

Good selection but what I really liked was I can see anything I want to buy outside of its packaging in little Petri dish like containers. Also I liked the bud containers designed to let you smell and see it without letting people touch it or steal it

Friendly, Helpful, HONEST. Just went in and apparently they accidentally overcharged me the last time I was there (was maybe half a year ago) and they informed me of the overcharge and took it off my current purchase. Really appreciate that!

Super nice and sweet staff that welcome 🐶 dogs with truly good prices. Only place in town for sticky Jamaican Lambsbread. AK47 prerolls are 1 gram of comfort and therapy for depression. Very funky 1970s ties fiesta decor with comfy individual seating. Ok industrial area didnt feel unsafe. Different vibe here 👍😎

This club is dope always have the 🔥 and usually dont have to wait long when I get there. Prices are ok because of the tax but I would recommend this sopt to anyone looking for good product.

A place for cannabis and cannabis related stuff only. Has a goat as its mascot and sign and looks kind of like a storage space. If you are looking to buy it there Is this place and its also surrounded by other cannabis companies of that sort. Very calm and chill place, only the few cars passing by. Legal and safe.

People at Buddys are great,knowledgeable,and very helpful. Unlike the many attributes of Buddys, customer service and charity included tthe meds are fantastic. The flowers\meds taste like fine wine. Id rate Buddys a 5 star on staff and flowers..

Signs on google and the door say they close at 9pm. I walk up at 8:45 and the employees are walking out. They told me they were already closed and refused to help

While visiting the San Jose area I made my first visit to a dispensary to buy legal pot in California and it was a let down. Im a long time pot smoker but new to vaping. Explained this to the person helping and told him I wanted 2 cartridge concentrates, one sativia and one indica. He asked if I had any brand preference and told him I dont, that I was new to this but I had bought some concentrate cartridges and a vape pen (no button) when I was in Nevada and liked it. He suggested Spliffin Brand and I chose the Dantes Fire (1.0ML) and Super Spliffin Haze (1.0ML)I tried to use the cartridges with my Vape pen but they would not work and found the following info on the Spliffin Website.Can I use a different battery device for your cartridge?It is recommended that Spliffin cartridges only be used with Spliffin battery devices. We cannot guarantee the functionality or effectiveness of Spliffin products when used with third-party products.IMPORTANT – Please do not use automatic pull batteries with Spliffin PURE cartridges. As of Summer 2016, all PURE cartridges feature a dual coil atomizer that is not compatible with third-party auto-pull batteries.I feel the bud-tender should not recommend this brand without also informing customers that you need a spliffin battery device (which is not available for sale - not in stock - on their website).Spent over $100.00 but have not been able to try it yet. Very disappointing.

Super excited when i got there but it all went down thee drain!! I originally went to harborside, but they had ran out of prerolls, so they reffered be to buddys, so i bought a two cone hybrid for 16 dollara. Later the night i tested the product, n nothing, no hit whatsever, i light both of em, n nothing!, i was upset, so i grabbed a sweet, n put the weed from the joint in, n also nothing, the weed was obviously to wet or something. So i called buddyz to see if maybe they would save my future business with them, they didnt care, the manager oh im sorry all we can do is give u $10 off for ur next purchase, im like i paid $16 n insisted at least a15 since i live out the way, n he was like, no, so now im like no also no nono, never again!

Buddys sold out to corporate america.....higher prices...not as good a selection as before. Sterile environment no product out. White. The “budtender” leaning over the counter due to boredom was interesting the guy helping me arguing with me wow.I miss Buddys

Over priced than any other local dispensaries, low inventory, all the preroll and blunts arent really quite effective as it says. The sales people are quite pushy and try to sell hard. At the end, they do charge your bank $5 separately even if you use the debit card and they never let you know ahead of time. They sell one gram preroll standard thc and standard size for $25 where other dispensaries the same product is for $10.00. Quite a rip off and shady place to visit. Also, be aware of surroundings while parking your car.

This place is a heaven for recreational cannabis items and its legal too!! ;)I am more of a smoking weed kinda person, while my wife likes the drinks & edibles. They have a wide varieties of such items (cookies, chocolates, drinks, gummies, brownies etc.) - And, to be honest I have tried them all. The drink (wildberry/guava) & the gummy are the best of the lot.If you are a pro-weeder or an amateur, this place is sure to make quench your thirst for good...:)The only thing that I want to mention is that they can restart some reward programs or so to benefit regular customers like me !!! :D

Racial profiling . i find it strange that it happens everytime . i spend my hard worked for money there . And wish i could get a refund at this point so i could take my money too a nicer aDispensary . purple lotus always does outstanding . I mistakenly keep trying too give buddys a chance . But even when i ordered online it was not as great as advertised online . Even cost me in thee hundreds range . Very typical cannabis shop, catering to all the noobs and those with disposable income galore. On the plus side, they carry VSOP Cannoli hashish. Staff is about as helpful as a new hire at Target, and probably just as old and knowledgeable. I did enjoy Frenchys hash that I purchased here, eventhough it was $60 for a gram +tax. That being said, I dont plan to ever visit another cannabis club until they get real with their pricing. This isnt the 90s anymore, people. Prohibition pricing isnt justified. Its a plant, and its pretty easy to grow good bud these days.....

Horrible service.. i have called in and said my license was lost. They said its fine if i bring passport . I drobe 40 min to get there. Once i arrive they are saying they are sorry and they need othere proofs... no one knows what they doing... 1 star horrible service

If you are ever in San Jose and you are looking for some fine cannabis then stop by at Buddys shop. They have great indica and sativa stains and they are already pre packaged by grams, eighths and quarters. They have a great selection of edibles and concitrates as well. Compared to southern California the prices are a bit ridiculous but hey you get what you paid for. Just stop by and I guarantee that you wont be disappointed regardless of what you pay.

The bud is good and the people are nice. However you cant find high CBD strains here like harliquin or Harley-tsu. No lower thc strain stuff either. The prices are a bit high as well but I guess if you dont mind paying for stuff thats strong as hell and you want to get high as hell...this place is for you.

MedMen was called Buddys. Like Buddys used to do, flowers are supplied in glass jars with process dates. Display area is now more lit and has good displays.
