This is a unique and affordable stop for an hour on a trip to Santa Barbara. You can enjoy a 45 minute session in a well designed salt cave to detox. The cave is tranquil and relaxing with meditation sounds and music. They do require reservations. This experience was very affordable. They also have a soundbath experience that is a bit more and on the higher end they offer massage. I found their shop filled with affordable items to buy. I went home with a bag filled for about 100.00. And I got about 20 different items! I highly recommend a stop in.
I recently visited Salt Cave SB and had a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making me feel welcomed and pampered from the moment I arrived. Their professionalism and genuine care were evident throughout my visit. The atmosphere was relaxing and serene, which made my time there even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this spa for anyone looking to unwind and be treated like royalty. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I have done a few cave meditation sessions and received a couple of massages from here, and I always have such a lovely time! The meditation sessions are so relaxing, it’s so nice to have some time to do some self guided yoga on the salt floors or just listen to the calming music and focus on my breathing. My massages here are always superb, and any time I look for massages anywhere else I compare them to the outstanding ones I received at Salt. I always feel so taken care of here.Ghina, the manager, is very kind and warm and welcoming, and she recommended so many lovely natural products for me to use as well. The customer service and staff is great and I love the array of products I can get here- they make such good gifts and are so great for self care. Any time I’m in Santa Barbara I always make sure to stop in. :) definitely recommend for any tourists
Went to use my Groupons on a Saturday and the front desk person was dismissive and rude. Said we could only redeem on a Monday - Friday, and after scouring my Groupon(s), as well as the confirmation, it is nowhere to be found in the fine print. Groupon agreed. I dont live in Santa Barbara, and every time I visit, I drop in to purchase candles. I cancelled my two purchased Groupons, and will not be coming back. Also, turning away customers from an empty store is not a great business practice; and seeing the other reviews and also many of the defensive responses, my experience was true to form. Do better. The response from Salt Cave for the above review is untrue. They have the wrong person. Must have challenges with customers so regularly they cannot remember who is who.My experience (for context): I went in with my daughter (as a walk in), not a dog, to use two Groupons, and they dismissed me and told me that I could use a Groupon Monday through Friday, not on a Saturday. The young man was short and rude to us, and the woman didn’t look up from her paperwork. Icy behavior. I said that it was a bummer, because I don’t live in Santa Barbara, I would cash in the Groupon, and we left. There was no yelling, no aggression whatsoever, just annoyance.
Loved this! I did the meditation but to be honest I thought someone would be leading a meditation. It was music played in the salt cave. It was definitely relaxing and a nice way to spend 45 minutes though. They have chairs that recline but you can also lay directly in the salt. I do think $28 is a lot for sitting in the caves but we purchased a Groupon and it was much more reasonable. They’ve got a cute store too with everything under the sun with Himalayan salt. I got a peppermint chapstick and I’m obsessed with it already.
What an amazing experience. Went here for a couples massage. Walked out feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. The place has an amazing atmosphere and ambiance to it. The staff is wonderful, welcoming and friendly. The salt cave massage room is comfortable with low lighting and music. My masseuse was wonderful. He made sure to ask all the right questions about past and present conditions as well as areas I would like to focus on. We were never rushed to leave and were able to recover in a semi private waiting room with water and tea. The store was also full of wonderful items that were priced very reasonably. Overall it was an amazing experience that I will definitely do again.
Did the salt cave meditation and it was amazing.45 minutes of taking in the Himalayan salt cave and serene energy while calming meditation music played.we sat in zero gravity chairs and i also laid directly on the salt floor at one point for full absorption.they also have a shop where you can purchase all things salt!10/10 definitely recommend and will be returning with my parents :)
The mall would give you a better massage, don’t waste your money. I hate complaining, I worked years in the service industry; but I’m not even sure if this person was a trained masseuse. When I mentioned it to the front desk, I was barely given a nod of acknowledgment. 2 stars because the facial was very nice.
You responded to my first review with a completely untrue story. I did not bring in a dog, nor did I have an appointment that I was late for. I would never tell a person to shut up. You are either lying or have the wrong person.
What a special surprise my friend gave me for my birthday…..a day in Santa Barbara with a meditation session at the Salt Cave! The salt cave is a very cool looking place for sure. You take stairs down into a basement”cave” where there is a gift shop with all things salt, massage rooms, spa rooms and a large room where meditations and other activities like yoga take place. We had an appointment for a meditation session on a Friday afternoon in October. I really didn’t know what to expect but I was excited to be there. We were asked to take off our shoes and the front desk lady escorted us into the large room where there were gravity free chairs for us to sit on. The ground was Himalayan salt/sand and the walls and ceilings were lined in Himalayan salt rocks. The lights were dimmed and it felt very peaceful in there. The lady told us she was waiting a few more minutes to see if anyone else would show up for the meditation and we were welcome to sit and get comfortable. After about 5 minutes she came back in to tell us we were the only ones for this session and she was going to start. She then walked out of the room. I was expecting that she was going to be the one to guide us into a meditation. I guess I was wrong. Lights dimmed a bit more and an introduction came across the speakers telling us about salt and the benefits, etc. After peaceful music started. I thought at this point a recording of someone guiding us in the mediation would start. Again, I was wrong. The “meditation” was simply a recording of relaxing music. OK….a little disappointed at this point but hey, it’s relaxing and I am detoxing with the salt air and salt all around me. I started my self-talk meditation and started to get more relaxed and then…BANG! BANG! People above us were banging things and what sounded like moving furniture. Our relaxing, peaceful time did not last long at all. It was so very disappointing. We stayed in the room, breathing in the air and experiencing the salt around us but that’s all it was. When our session was done my friend told the front desk about the loud noise and their response was something to the effect that they knew they were moving upstairs and was hoping it wouldn’t be loud. They didn’t offer to bring us back another time to experience a peaceful time there without any banging (after the moving upstairs ended)I am not sure how much my friend paid for this gift. It was supposed to be a very special birthday gift to me (and her) because we are in very stressful jobs. Unfortunately this gift didn’t live up to her very sweet intentions.I do not like writing reviews like this but I feel like people need to know about this and they should proceed at their own discretion. On a positive note, I did take some cute pics of the place.
Unfortunately not worth the time or the price. It’s mostly just a marketing scheme.Fiancé booked a couples salt room massage for step-daughter. We didn’t receive that.To add insult to injury, the front desk staff were rude. Masseuses were great, but the customer service and lack of receiving actual service ruined the experience.
So I booked an appointment for the salt mediation room. I was told to come at 2pm and there was plenty of space for the session. I drove three hours to experience the salt mediation. When we got there the front desk girl told us that it has already started and we could not do the session, she said you have to come 15 mins early. I explained no one told us this and we were there at 2:00 exactly on time , but wasn’t told to come that early. I asked can we go in because we were on time for the session. Im sure we could have walked in quietly and started the meditation. said we could come back at another time. She did not try to accommodate us instead she had an attitude and kept saying it started at 2. I was so upset because we were not told to come that early and we got there at exactly 2pm as told. Anyways won’t be going back there. They should make sure they let people know to come that early or you won’t get in.
My husband and I scheduled a massage for the day after sea kayaking. The massage and the atmosphere of the salt cave were both relaxing and restorative. Thank you!
This place has a very wonderful and relaxing Himalayan salt therapy session. It lasts for about 45 minutes and you need to book a reservation in advance for the best results. It’s nice, quiet and the very ambient music played in the background sets the mood perfectly. Some of the products they sell look really nice and we ended up buying a spherical salt lamp. I’d recommend this place if you want a cold and relaxing rest.
At $28 per person, the 45-minute sound healing session in the salt cave is very underwhelming.I should have saved the money and bought salt for my bathtub at home, put on a BETTER meditation track, and relaxed with true aromatherapy. The salt cave looks neat-ish, but after about 10 minutes the salt air cuts off and you realize you just paid alot of money ( there was 4 ofnus, so around $120) to sit on a lawn chair, in a dark room, with an average meditation track you can pull off of youtube for free. Its kind of a joke, and the only reason I like the experience is because I can laugh about how shallow and off the mark the whole experience was with the people I experienced the sound healing salt cave with. That said, some of the salt-based products they sell up front seem quality, but again, I can get better elsewhere for a fraction of the cost.
What a wonderful experience! The staff was super nice and I enjoyed resting and having a cup of tea in the salt waiting room before my OxyGeneo Facial. Mariana was fantastic! She does massage too. The music was relaxing and I felt like butter afterwards. When checking out there was a hiccup about the charge, the manager was more than gracious and honored the price. You bet I will be coming back. Great place, dont miss out!
Went yesterday for my birthday treat, the staff is awesome, great energy. The 45 min meditation sessions in the Salt Cave was wonderful, the manager is so great. Definitely recommend this place, cant wait to to return.
I really enjoyed the salt experience, salt cave and meditation experience. Traveling can be very stressful and this was a much needed relief between stays and exploring the city as a newcomer, I was referred to this place by a friend and I will definitely refer this place to anyone traveling through Santa Barbara.
During my last visit to LA from Texas, I visited this place (about 1 yr ago). I loved it. The energy of the staff was GREAT and others that were visiting the salt cave at the time was great also. We were all connected like one community. It was a fantastic experience! While there, I bought the Foot Rescue Balm, which was AMAZING... so much so, that I recently ordered again (5 days ago), and bought 3, thinking I was buying the same product because the website is still advertising the product that I bought a year ago, but that is NOT what they sent me. 🤔 They are advertising the old product, but selling you something else (Body Balm), and it is not the same ingredients either. I havent used it yet, so Im not sure how well it measures up, but I am displeased at being sold something different from what I chose to purchase on their website.Additionally, I purchased the Himalayan Salt Green Tea Mask & it was only 3/4 full for $28 😮 I gently rubbed my finger across the mask contents to apply a little to my face and it made a hole leaving the jar approx 3/4 full. What is going on? 🤨 Ive posted a pic below. This used to be an upstanding place, with upstanding products. Im not sure what is going on now. Depending on how they rectify this issue will determine if my review goes back to 5 Stars. Everyone makes mistakes now & again, and I understand that, therefore their level of customer service will make or break my relationship with them. At this point, evidence of integrity & accountability is what Im looking for.Ive posted a pic from their website of the Foot Rescue & a pic of what they actually sent me.Typically the first ingredient listed is what the product contains most. What I originally purchased -Foot Rescue Ingredients: Pure Himalayan Salt, Bee’s Wax, Cocoa, Tea Tree Oil, Peppermint OilWhat they sent instead of the Foot Rescue- Body Balm Ingredients: Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Beewax, Cocoa Butter, Himalayan Salt, Peppermint Oil, Tea Tree Oil.
Had a 90 minute massage with Christian and felt blissfully relaxed when I waled out of the cave. The warm lighting and salt crystal environment really enhance the overall experience.
Seriously one of the best massage experiences Ive had! Starting with the atmosphere, the tea lounge (prior to massage) was already relaxing. Then my husband and I did the couple massage in the Salt cave. Stacy was my massage therapist. And let me tell you, she was fantastic!! I explained my problem areas and my sensitivity to massages. She was very gentle and understanding. I hated to leave the table once my time was up. I will definitely be going back!!!
I really liked this place in the past, but my experience today was unsatisfying. I used to do cave sessions and facuals regularly, and it had been a favorite place to bring visitors. The caves are still nice, but the customer service left a lot to be desired. In the past, they always had such friendly staff, unfortunately not today, which is disappointing.
For my birthday, I was given the wonderful gift of a spa day for myself and my daughter who lives in Santa Barbara (enough for two 90 minute massages). We were so looking forward to this! I called at least a month in advance to book our massages and carefully noted the date (end of April) and time in my calendar. On the day of, when we were on our way there, I received a call from the spa asking if we were coming and telling me that we were late for our appointments. Our appointments had been changed without my consent or having been informed. After a heated discussion in which my word was questioned and dismissed, It was agreed that we could come in and experience the Salt Cave and reschedule the massages for a 25% discount. We went to the spa that day, spent the 45 minutes in the cave and the massages were rescheduled for 1:00 on Saturday the end of June. In the middle of May, I needed to change that appointment to Sunday, same weekend, at 1:00, again noted in my calendar and the 25% discount was confirmed. A couple days before this appointment, I called the spa to confirm the time and assure that the 25% discount was still noted. I was told that no, our appointments were scheduled for 3:45. I was shocked that this was happening again as I knew the appointments were scheduled at least 6 weeks prior. Again, the heated discussion. My daughter and I decided to get our massages at 3:45 even though it was not a convenient time for us that day. We went in, relaxed in the salt cave again for 45 minutes and had our very wonderful massages. A woman named Ghina was at the counter when we checked out. The first thing she said was, I can give you a 20% discount but not 25%. She also insisted that it was my mistake writing down my appointment when I changed the day from Saturday to Sunday. I know that is not true but she essentially was calling me a liar. We did not get the discount promised, were made to feel angry and tense after our massages, and left there not at all relaxed. It was not a good experience and I would not recommend this place. There are many other options for spa days in Santa Barbara.
Me and my friend (Mexican MINORS.)went to look around today and this one white lady (maybe the owner) would not take her eyes off of us the whole time we were there. When we were walking to the bathroom she asked us if they could help us with anything and we replied back saying we were just gonna use the restroom. She said that the bathroom was only for staff and not meant for public use, when other people CLEARLY use it. We have used their bathroom before, + many other strangers. To be clear we’re mexican. If we were WHITE GIRLS she probably wouldn’t have said anything. This racism needs to stop, We’re just minors. What can we possibly do to harm them. 10/05/23.
Loud soft music, if you want the peace and quiet of a cave this is not it!
I know its seems wierd to pay to sit in a room filled with salt rocks and chill to vibrational music, but it was a very relaxing experience. We used a Groupon to get a deal. I felt good afterwards.
Beautiful salt cave, however, they promote it as halotherapy and it isn’t. You can hear the machine but there is no salt being dispersed into the air. You can’t see or feel or taste it as you should. I did mention it to them. They said it was normal. I’ve been to salt rooms around the world. If you don’t see, feel and taste the salt it’s not normal and not halo therapy. They were kind people and it’s a beautiful space but it is just a salt cave.
Not a great experience. From the time I called to inquire and ask questions about the salt cave meditation, I was met with very vague answers and a disinterested employee. If it’s someone’s first time, wouldn’t you take it upon yourself to ensure a positive experience? Apparently not. The in person experience was even worst. I was told to fill out a form and while I was filling it out to pay $25 to which I responded, can you give me a moment? As you can see, I’m still filling out the form. As a place of wellness, where are your customer service skills and warm attitudes? Also, no explanation of what to expect from the experience as first timers. I was really turned off and even more so once I got inside and the two other people in the cave were on their phones most of the time. What is the point of the experience?! No employees came to check in or even enforced that phones inside the cave are not allowed. Completely inconsiderate of others. Once it was over, no one asked how the experience was nor did they thank me for coming in or say goodbye. Definitely not worth it. Doesn’t feel like the cave did anything either. Save your money and definitely save yourself from the rudeness of the whole experience.
Ive been here many times over the past 10 years for cave sessions, facials, and massages. It used to be great. I dont know if they just havent recovered from COVID or if its management changes, but in the past year and a half Ive had three scheduling issues with Salt. The first time was pretty minor, my confirmation email said 4pm, I got there and they said my appointment was for 4:30, not too big a deal. The second time my friend and I were getting facials at the same time and my tech came and got me and I asked where my friends tech was, and they told us she was running 5 minutes late. I got my facial and an hour later and it turned out that my friends tech never came. Then the third time was the worst. I had a massage scheduled for later in the month, but was my back was hurting pretty bad so I called and asked if I could reschedule it sooner. I was given an option for Saturday or Sunday. I chose Sunday. Ok, great, youre all set for Sunday at 4:30! I came in and was told my appointment had never been rescheduled, and the manager, Gina, said I must have misunderstood when I called. How could I misunderstand that? It isnt even so much that my massage wasnt rescheduled, that I had driven in 20 minutes to get said massage, that I was leaving still in pain, but for the error to not even be apologized for and for the blame to be placed on me for clearly their mistake is just ridiculous. So after about ten years of coming here and recommending this place, Im done.
Let me start by saying that this experience occurred 3 months ago on June 24, 2022 and now 3 months later I am finally able to put it into words.I have lived in Santa Barbara for most of my life and I am now living in Europe. For my very last day in Santa Barbara, I decided to spend it at the Salt Caves with my best friend. I booked a couples massage for us and a facial for myself. At the exact moment that I walked into the spa, I received several distressing text messages indicating that my 12 year old daughter was possibly in danger. Initially I called my husband to see if he could handle it and he said that he would. However, I was unable to relax as the treatment began and felt that I needed to check my phone to make sure that everything was resolved. I told the masseuse to stop for a moment while I checked my phone and to my horror, things had escalated and were much worse. I NEEDED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY.I apologized to the masseuse and told her that I would be back to pay and my friend would stay to continue her treatment. (They also had my credit card on file)My friend enjoyed her massage and waited for me to come back and pick her up. In that time, the facialist indicated to her that she could take my facial. The manager however stepped in and said that that would not be acceptable and that since I had been the one to book it, only I could have the facial. She then proceeded to trash talk me to my BEST FRIEND, that if I knew that there was going to be an emergency that I shouldn’t have booked a treatment.Dear reader, ask yourself when you have had the foresight to plan your EMERGENCIES one month in advance… I do not believe anyone plans for their house to burn down or to have a heart attack one month in advance and books a facial for that exact same moment. But maybe I am living in a different reality than this woman. When I arrived back at the Salt Caves, I went straight to the desk and asked to pay and they said it had been taken care of. I was very confused and said that no, I left without paying and need to pay now. She told me that the manager had already processed my card on file. The manager then, upon overhearing our conversation, came over and scolded me for the situation.Number one, A MOTHER WILL ALWAYS TAKE CARE OF HER CHILDREN BEFORE CONSIDERING OTHER CIRCUMSTANCESNumber two, my card was on fileNumber three, my friend was still there receiving treatments.Imagine the exact same scenario in a restaurant setting. As long as one person is still at the table to pay the bill, the server does not care who ordered what or who ate what as long as there is still someone from the party to pay the tab.But beyond the lack of common sense applied here, it is the lack of compassion that has struck me so deeply and compelled me to leave this review. In the year 2022, that someone can be so cold and cruel towards a woman who on her last day in her hometown, who had every intention of making it a good day, had the terrible misfortune to suffer an emergency deserves to be treated so poorly and trash talked to her own friend is beyond me.No empathy. No compassion. And at the end of the day who suffered here? The business was paid. I made sure to tip the masseuse and let her know that it was not her fault. Why did the manager feel the need to kick me while I was down?
Very unreliable and unprofessional staff. Called them around January 10th to make a reservation for Valentines Day and was told to call on or after January 27th as they dont accept reservations that early. Called them on January 26th, the day earlier, and was told that they are fully booked. We had great plans for Valentines Day, which were ruined immediately by this Spa service.
This was my second trip and have to say, not a very good experience. First, with around 20 people in the salt cave, the assistant made everyone wait for 15 minutes for 2 additional people that were late. She added the extra time on the back end but it was frustrating as we had plans afterward that got pushed back. Then, we spent over $400 on lamps. The first transaction was rung up incorrectly in the favor of the store. When asked to adjust it, they said it was only a few dollars and not to worry about it. After much frustration, we finally got them to ring it up correctly and refund the overcharge of $15 dollars. And finally, the staff told us we could leave the salt lamps there while we went to get the car and they would meet us in back. When we got back to pick them up, the staff was annoyed that they had to help us carry them out.Needless to say, I wont be returning. Its unfortunate, since Salt is suppose to be a stress free environment and the staff made it very negative and uncomfortable with their attitude and lack of customer service.
TLDR: RACISTSMy friend and I came into this store while browsing around downtown. For context, I’m Asian and he’s South Asian, and we’re both students at UCSB, if that wasn’t clear enough to the store employee through our UCSB hoodies. Basically, there was no reason for any normal person to be rude to us. As soon as we entered, one of the employees (I believe she was either the owner or manager) started glaring at us. She glared at my friend and I the entire time we were there, making us feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. I picked up an item to inspect it—said lady goes “Don’t do that.” The store had other customers too (lol and they were all white), and yet my friend and I were the only ones getting glared at and monitored without even a smile or friendly gesture from any of the employees. We left shortly after, not wanting to support a business with such outdated and offensive values. For anyone who believes I’m being dramatic, then at least let your takeaway be that this shop has terrible, inconsistent, and discriminatory service.
Interesting experience but not greatWe were traveling from out of town and we were really excited to enjoy something more relaxing for our last day in Santa Barbara. We found out about the Salt Cave and thought we should try it out. Unfortunately, the experience wasnt great. When I called to make the reservation, they didnt mention that there would be no blankets to use because of COVID-19. If they had mentioned, we would have brought our own. Unfortunately, it was way too cold in the room and everyone was shivering by the end. Probably weakened our immune system instead of strengthening it. Secondly, the gentleman who started the meditation did not introduced or anything to the experience. Just closed the door. A lady we met in the room said that they usually give a brief speech about the benefits of salt and what we would be doing for the hour. That would have been nice. Finally, the music being played was just a low frequency the whole time. Not standard meditation music. In my opinion as someone who meditates daily, I felt I could have spent our money elsewhere (even the giftshop!). But, we spent our money on an expensive, cold dark room. And we will never know what benefits we may have gained from the salt.
Liked the salt room and enjoyed the restful 45 minute session. BUT both my friend and I were very distracted by the noises adjacent to or above the room: things dropping on the floor, water sounds, and motor (washing machine?) sounds. The music was nice, but did not mask the noises. The gift area was beautiful and priced well and the bathroom was clean and well-stocked. The gal who opened the store was not friendly. She didnt even speak to the four of us waiting for Salt to open and when she had set out her A-frame sign, bicycle, and mat, she disappeared inside without a word or gesture, nor were we greeted when we arrived downstairs, nor after our session when we left without a words greeting or goodbye. While we enjoyed our salt session, I doubt I would return with out of town guests again. Your employee may have been having a bad day - or not, but her attitude was sour, at best, and dampened our excitement and enjoyment of our outing.
Its so true after covid happen services everywhere seemed to be horrible. After reading the reviews here I guess Im going to go somewhere else. I was about to booked an appointment for my daughter and I.This is sad I really like the salt cave but its the only salt cave Ive ever been too. I cant really compare? can someone recommend a good place? I would love a great spa day !
Very nice place front desk personnel and management very friendly.
Had enjoyed a few salt cave sessions in the past, but didn’t realize that they allow folks to walk in 5-10 min late and disrupt the experience for others. Also, spray of salt into the room didn’t happen this time, which is a significant part of the “healing” elements from what I understand. Spoke to very disinterested employee about the 2 issues, and discovered that someone has to manually turn on the spray every time, so apparently they “forgot”. Knowing now that they let folks in late, and occasionally “forget” to turn on the sprayer, greatly effecting the benefits of the experience, I’d say save your money.
My friend and I ran about ten minutes late to our appointments for a 90 minute massage. They said they had to put us in the same room to give us the full 90 minutes. However, we only got 60 minutes. I timed them, and charged for the whole 90. I felt mislead and they really just stuck us in the same room so they could book another appointment it seems and then charged us for the full amount of something we didn’t receive. Will not come back here for future massages.
My husband and I enjoyed a couples massage at the salt caves and thought we would pass along a gift for a couples massage to our daughter who will be a newlywed in a few months… The staff at salt caves went the extra mile with the gift certificate and brochures and a complementary salt stone for massaging. Top-notch service will definitely continue coming to the salt caves in the future!
I had no idea what to expect when we went here, had not done any research. The experience was wonderful! A well-designed, comfortable, peaceful environment, friendly staff and easy to enjoy. After laying in the zero-gravity chair and meditating to low-key music and low lighting for an hour, I felt refreshed and relaxed, in a deep way. While I was there, in the room, I experienced a feeling of pressure, or heaviness, all over, but in a nice way...it felt very grounded, but also invigorating.
Outstanding experience! We both had an amazing massage in the salt room- heaven on earth. Thank you!
Did the 45 session, the core of the session was okay. The start and stop of the sessions needs a lot more thought and care put into it. Especially the end, the girl just literally busted into the room and said it was over, startled most of the people who were in a deep relaxation. Honestly if your a local, do what we do go to the beach, fresher air, less expensive
If youre going to offer a service with dubious health benefits in the first place, the least you could do is keep an appointment. Made an appointment for that Groupon salt cave session on a day trip to SB, and was told WHEN WE ARRIVED that our appointment had been canceled for a yoga class. This appointment was made 2 weeks ago. I even called the DAY OF to ask if there was a dress code for the salt cave session and mentioned that I had a 6pm appointment that day, and received not a word regarding the cancellation of my appointment. Will be disputing the Groupon transaction as a fraudulent charge on my credit statement.
Salt Cave in Santa Barbara on State Street basically shamed and humiliated my husband and I for having our registered Emotional support dog with us on our planned appointment for a session in the caves. This is not our first time there. We went in June with our dog and he went in the cave with us with no incident. There was a young girl who was checking us in, tell us dogs werent allowed. I told her we were told the first time we went, he was welcome. We have pictures of him sleeping in my arms in the cave.An older women working there said she remembered us and said if our dog causes any disturbances, we would have to remove him. I said that wouldnt be a problem, but he will not do anything to cause a disturbance. She said again in a chastising voice that he would have to be removed. I said I know. The two women had angry expressions on their faces and again, the older woman said that it was a filled session and if my dog caused a problem he would be removed. I then said give me vouchers for another time and I was very upset. They gave me the complimentary vouchers and I explained again my dog is an ESA and I would be giving very bad reviews.I am also going to contact Santa Barbaras local news station and tell them what happened.Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android
We are very fortunate to have this amazing healing salt in Santa Barbara. Salt is one of my favorite places to buy gifts and take a break out of my day to sit, relax and inhale the salt. I highly recommend you experience this unique place yourself.
Experience not as expected. Salt cave is worth $5, not $25. Just simply not worth it. Staff was nice though. Would like a refund
This was so incredible. The meditation was wonderful and great for my lungs as I have asthma. The facial by Rosa might be the best ever! Go and enjoy the friendly staff and wonderful ambiance!
Total waste of time and money. There are no caves - its just one room.I dont feel any difference from when I walked in - did not feel any salt anywhere. Its just a nice place to nap for 45mins with some music.
Employees have a lack of work ethic showed up at 5:50 hoping to purchase a gift card only to find they had closed early.
Visiting Santa Barbara I found Salt online, when looking for a spa. I had a salt rub and a deep tissue massage. Excellent!! If I lived locally, I would be a regular client!!
We actually went to their store on a side street where I was able to buy hand sanitizer...and some nice gifts for Mothers day. The clerk made up custom packages for me...and she was so nice!
A very relaxing experience. I didnt notice any improvements in my overall health, but Ive only visited once. I imagine many visits are needed before one notices a difference.
The massage from Jennifer was fantastic. Jennifer is very talented & knowledgeable about origins of muscles. Thank you! Ask for Jennifer you will not be disappointed.
We got a Groupon for a 45 minute session to sit down in a cave surrounded by Himalayan salt and although you wont think youll fall asleep you absolutely will its absolutely comforting and relaxing to be down there
This place is amazing took my wife for our anniversary and all I can say I we left feeling new I literally feel asleep during our message without realizing it I highly recommend everyone to come you won’t regret it
I have been going here for a few YEARS and never had a nongood experience. I love this place. Very relaxing the moment you step into it from tbe stairs
Terrible customer service, left name and number to schedule an appointment and never heard anything. Followed up the next day and were told they are busy and to leave name and number again. Rude staff, count me out.
The place to go for all your salt needs! Plus their salt cave is GORGEOUS and they do yoga in there which is a super cool experience.
Wasnt very impressed by this place. I dont feel any difference from when I walked in. Others seemed to really enjoy it. To each their own
I love it , A plus for those people and manager
