The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe

I ALWAYS book a treatment when in Santa Fe and it has never disappointed. I hold every other spa across the United Stares to their standard and no one has ever come close to the levels of expertise I’ve received. I was there two weeks ago and have been stopping myself from calling every day. I was left feeling disappointed, disgusted and just plain icky and time hasn’t helped the way I am feeling. I had a male masseuse and 15-20 minutes of my 80 minutes was spent moving around the table apparently trying to loosen my hips, etc., and “open myself up to Mother Earth.” My husband has a different opinion on what was actually going on. I’ve tried to laugh it off but the more time passes, the worse I feel for not having enough gumption to stop it. There are a few other things that happened that left me feeling uncomfortable but I won’t go into them. I should have been brave enough to say “STOP” so I feel responsible. Not sure if that was last visit or not. Hoping the memory of this will fade and I’ll look forward to next time.

I had a massage booked and the massage itself was fine, but I felt my experience with one specific staff member at the front desk named Mercedes was unpleasant enough to warrant necessary feedback. Seconds after entering before I said one word, she made a comment to the person I was with about how I dont look happy. After sitting down and receiving the patient intake form, she asked me with a very condescending and passive aggressive tone Are you happy? Why arent you happy? The way she asked was not a genuine concern rather a demand to change my facial expression, either way, this is not something that you ask a client in a business transaction. I found her comment and questions to be invasive and inappropriate, and they kept me from enjoying the experience I was there for.

Absolutely had a 10 star experience here! The staff, the esthetician, the check-in, the facility, the hot tub, the steam room, the massage, the attitude, everything was beyond exceptional!! I would highly recommend you call First, make it a good experience go early go to Terra have a bloody Mary, then check in to the spa. And let them pamper you. If you’re wanting an exclusive, expensive day spa experience, call them!! I very rarely leave reviews, but this one, I had to share that they just knocked it out of the park. Thank you so much for such a exceptional day Tina and everyone, I will be back.

We had a wedding here. They ruined our flowers by putting them in freezer. They dropped by daughter the bride in the service quarters and she got her dress dirty! It slightly rained and didn’t offer to take guest to lobby and only passed out 3 umbrellas. Mind you we only had 20 guest. We had 9 of 20 fall in the cracks because it’s gravel and not concrete in the pavers outside. Out grandmother was seriously injured because your heels get caught in the cracks. Over all a horrible experience. Service was terrible. Some how we managed to have a good time. I recommend anywhere else!

1st time here and was just Great, my wife and I took the couple retreat and we was able to enjoy the spa from 10am to 2pm, 5 therapies in the package and the cherry of the cake was the private casita for 50m with a hot tub and steam room, the entire staff was super friendly, extremely recommended and we will return soon!

Wonderful service, relaxing spa, convenient complementary driving service. Looks like a winter wonderland when it snows!
