Sunshine Foot Massage West Seattle

Went here today for 1 hour deep tissue. I asked for a female masseuse. I was told asked by a gentleman that lead me to the room. I asked again and he said yes. I undressed, got ready for the massage was greeted again. I decided to just go along with it. When I left I get the awkward tip issue. The massage wasn’t bad, but I never could relax. I tipped ten percent by guilt and the guy the massaged me gave me the look over the tip. Never again at this place.

Ive been here 5 or 6 times, and typically get the combo. The foot massage is never good, but the back massage is great. The last time was horrendous. My masseuse was switched mid way and the new one was barely applying pressure and only used her elbows. There was no pattern and it was sporadic and felt like I was getting a massage from a cat. I attempted to ask for something different twice but it was difficult to communicate with the language barrier. I definitely would love this spot as an alternative to the ones on the ID, but this last experience was so frustrating I got up and paid 35 mins into a 60minute massage rather than deal with the remaining time. I spoke to the masseuse and she just said sorry since she everyone was new...

I have gone there multiple times. They definitely have both females and males to give the massages. Their English is not great so that can be a problem. I have found all the massages to be wonderful! Headed back again right now

It was a pretty good massage and the staff were friendly, but the place really smelled like body odor which was a real turn off. Especially considering this is supposed to be a peaceful relaxing place.I almost left when I walked in.

This place is a gem! For $30 I wasnt sure what to expect. But I got an over hour massage(head, neck, arms, hands, back, calves, glutes) with amazing reflexology. They even asked me what kind of pressure I preferred. I also found the atmosphere calming. Even with the occasional noise from other clients coming and going or other.

The massage was great. I got the hour combo. 60 bucks including tip. She was very intuitive. I made an online reservation. The english isnt great - just point to the option you want on the menu card. There were 2 other clients when i got there. The space is open beds, and they have a closed room option....I do wish they had some hepa filters running, Id be inclined to visit more frequently. I brought my portable hepa and kept my mask on. I also took a couple of CO2 readings. By myself was 699, with the masseuse present was ~1300.

My first professional massage was good but a little too hard for me

I experienced combo for an hour in this massage,First of all, the biggest disadvantage is that communication is very difficult. The masseurs and managers of this store lack English communication skills. They have no way to understand my questions and requests, especially when I express that I need to reduce the pain on my neck and shoulders. When I was struggling, she didnt understand. I repeated it several times before she relieved the pressure, which caused some pain in my neck and shoulders. When I expressed my request, she seemed to ask the staff next to me and Manager, but she didnt seem to understand my request. Secondly, I think the massage technician lacks professional training and techniques, because it is difficult for me to feel professional traditional massage points and massage techniques when massaging my body. Her massage technique is too simple, she seems to only know how to press hard on my body parts, through her elbows and forearms, I think this is unprofessional, this is not the massage I want. The good thing is that the price is really cheap, but to be honest, I dont think the service here can be called a satisfying massage even though the price is so cheap, so I was disappointed even though I still tipped her 20% , but thats just out of my respect for her not satisfaction with the service.I cant recommend anyone else to this massage.

After I got a full body massage here, literally my kidney hurts. Im pretty sure its bruised. Are these actual trained and certified massage professionals?The gentleman that worked on me didnt understand or speak English very well and was offended when I only tied to give 20% tip. He wrote out a number and that was 25% and I went along even though I did NOT enjoy the experience. Not coming back here. Keep your cheap massages. Thank you.

Ive gone in with horrific back pain for a few years, from time to time.Prepare for an amazing healing from a master!Chair back massage for 1/2 hr and Im in awe of results. My spine is really bad so I go in for neck, upper & low back and even sciatica. Who knew you could get such relief from a chair. WoW.I agree, they expect a generous cash tip and its worth it.Youll be grateful.Im going in today, open on Sunday

This place was great! My massage was refreshing and the place was well kept. But! We were first time clients and the new comer special was not offered in house even though its on the website and store front. I also didnt love that I couldnt tip the person who provided the service for me. The man who managed it told me that shed receive the money but I dont like not knowing.

BE AWARE that they may yell at you in Chinese if you give less than 30% tip even if youve received the unfair service.Ive been a loyal customer at this place and ALWAYS left generous tips (~35% tip), and the masseuse, Amy, recognizes me every time I walk into the shop. I always track my time to make sure Im getting the full 1-hour massage. Today, I received about a 52min massage. I didnt say anything about this (since they cant really speak English). Because of this, I didnt give my normal 35% tip but gave about 15% tip this time. The lady was super angry with me and started saying things back at me in Chinese. I pulled out my cash and gave 15% more tips to calm the situation. She seemed satisfied once the cash was in her hand. Im traumatized by this experience and will not go back.My advice to the shop is to raise the price on the menu if a 15% tip is not acceptable. Tip is tip; you get based on your service. Do not be rude to your customers even if you received no tip. Rather, be kind and ask WHY.

Excellent massage from Amy and Li. If you like deep massage and a clean place, with a decent cost I like that I can schedule a massage when I really need it. Comfortable facility and a good price

Been wanting to try this place since it opened. So happy I was finally able to go today. I’m 7 mos pregnant and they instantly catered to me knowing how to sit me up and which massage would best suit me. It’s exactly what I wanted (mostly feet). 1 hour for $30. My therapist was consistent with pressure and on point in the routine. My headache went away and my sore, swollen feet and tight shoulders have been relieved. I’ve had many of these types of massages in Seattle, NYC, San Francisco,even in China and this place is my new hometown favorite. Everything here is new and clean, minimal talking between therapists, great layout and awesome location. Neighborhood and street parking is easy.

Too hard, I am super sore today. You get massaged out in the open. And they massage your face and head so dont do hair or makeup ladies. The man that massaged me was nice but didnt go lighter when I asked.

They do a really good job here… the place is calm and the prices are good. They seem to expect a really good tip, which they totally deserve… but you might get some attitude if your tip is 25% or less.

Bad deal the guy leaned on me while he did massage coughing in my ear uses his nuclei on my spine I complained no English then demanded a tip.Called owner told her went for refund he theretened me omg bad place no one speaks English.

Amazing massage for the price! This is a no frills mom and pop shop but the massage is amazing. Make sure to call ahead! They tend to book up

I just recently discovered the value of these Foot Massage places. They do so much more than massage your feet and they are 1/3 the price of a LMP. If you want a good deep tissue massage, do the 30 minute foot and 30 minute table massage. This is not a relaxation massage so dont expect it to feel good the whole time. That being said, it should provide relief after the fact. I was waking up every day sore and in pain and after getting a massage last night, woke up this morning feeling normal for the first time in a long time. I have been to other foot massage places but this was one of the best so far. My husband thought his was just ok. Mine was amazing. Will definitely go back.

Its not the same. NO FOOT Massage, js simple massage. Problems js too simple, with imagination gone blank. Translation is still fuzzy. Still didnt target the spot, even though ask for a specific target. Will Miss the ppl who knew their customers. Oh well, js have to find another spot.Freshing, simple, and overpriced.Thanks

It was as if some medieval battle was happening on my back. Just when I thought I had a handle on what was going on there was a morph into the future with lasers and things on fire. Yes, I’m talking about the massage I had at Sunshine. At the end of it all, the full bottle of massage oil they poured over the my skin exposed back was the icing on the cake..... that later almost caused a catastrophe in the shower turned slip n slide.5 stars because it was everything I’d wanted and needed plus a million other emotions mixed in. Zen, turned confusing, turned downright ‘is this reality’. I would recommend all over again and again!

This place reopened today and I had a 60 min foot massage and 30 min back massage, it was fantastic. I highly recommend this place, it was very clean and the staff was wearing masks. Such a nice treat.

11/10 no longer have back pain and feel much better, paid $26 for 30min very good price

They are really good. They massage you like they care, they are very knowledgeable about anatomy and know right where to dig in. Its definitely my new favorite reflexology spot.
