Elements Massage

So this review is pertaining to certain policies that corporate have in place regarding their membership. I had a previous membership with the Smithtown location. Over the course of a few loyal years, my account racked up 24 massages that have yet to be used. One of the enticing benefits of a membership is that you can use these rollover massages at any and all of their locations. I didn’t mind that I was spending money on the monthly membership cost for future potential massages. I probably would visit for a massage quarterly, even if that. Well, unbeknownst to me, their Smithtown location has permanently closed their doors for future business. According to staff at this location, an email was sent out to all of their members informing them about the closure and that any unused massages would be forfeited by a set date. I guess as a courtesy (insert major eye roll here), all members had about a month or two (not exactly sure) to use their rollover massages at this northport location before their membership and account information is completely ERASED from the system. That’s all well and fine had I received this “email”. I even went through all of my older emails to make sure I didn’t miss it. NOT ONE SINGLE NOTIFICATION/EMAIL about their closure. I only just found out about this a week ago when I tried to book myself a massage at the Smithtown location. With that said, I went ahead and booked myself a massage at this location. When booking a massage at this location while signed in under my account, it showed the price as $0 so I assumed that I would be using one of my 24 unused massages. The day of my massage, I sent them an email just to confirm that one of my rollover massages were going to be used and I wouldn’t be charged. I was infuriated to find out that all of my massages were unusable at any location and the deadline has surpassed to use them. WHATTT?!? That’s literally $2400 down the drain that I will never get back. Not only that, but it completely ruined the massage that I had paid for that day. My frustrations are not with the ladies at the front desk. They were actually very sweet and tried to be as helpful as they could with the little amount of authority they had. They deserve 5 stars. But I WILL NEVER spend a single dime with elements as a company again. After being such a dedicated and loyal customer to them over the years, they go ahead and piss all over that for a few dollars. Let’s be honest, $2400 to them is literally pennies. They clearly don’t appreciate or value their customers. I’m sure there are a few of us members who are dealing with this financial loss. You would think that a company as large as this one would bite the bullet and take the very minuscule financial loss in order to keep their loyal customers returning and spending more money. Clearly that’s the smarter decision from a financial standpoint, but what do I know? Allegedly, the Smithtown owner took all the money and ran which is why they decided to erase all unused massages/membership information out of their system (heard this from a member). The unfortunate thing is I was going to reinstate my monthly membership at their northport location after my initial visit with them, but after this stunt?!? ABSOLUTELY NOT. I’m just so completely frustrated and disgusted by this. I understand that they gave a grace period to use these massages at their northport location, but I had not one single clue that the Smithtown location was even closing. And it’s extremely misleading and fraudulent to promote the benefit of being able to use your massages AT ANY LOCATION AT ANY TIME but then say “oh sorry, your 24 unused massages have been erased from the system because your primary location shut its door”. Like what the hell is the difference? As previously stated, this 0 star review is regarding corporate and their poor decisions. I give the actual location 4 stars for their wonderful front desk staff, decent masseuse, and clean facilities. With that said, I will never be returning.

Elements of Smithtown is the best!! Their professional staff, welcoming front desk, and overall atmosphere make it easy to relax. I have been going here for years and every therapist has blown me away. I have taken advantage of their cupping massage, salt stone massage, CBD, aromatherapy, and lymphatic drainage massage. All are amazing!

It was my first time experiencing a massage, and i must say this place was the perfect place for my first time experience. Quiet and clean ! Jackie was so professional and sweet. The massage was well worth the money (not overpriced either). Highly recommend and I will definitely be going back

Bridget is my masseuse and she is absolutely fantastic at giving a deep massage. She always asks how I am feeling to determine what is the best plan for that particular massage. Whether I have arrived with a migraine headache or a pinched nerve, I always get relief. I have a monthly plan at Elements which offers a discount on the massage pricing. Having the plan results in me scheduling the appointment each month rather than intending to but never doing it. Monthly massages are definitely therapeutic!

Went for a 60 minute massage and saw Michael. He was thorough with what I wanted to focus on before the massage and extremely attentive in asking how I was feeling during the massage. Not only did he apply the perfect amount of pressure, he was willing to change if I didnt like it. He was personable and made me feel comfortable the whole time. Definitely recommend him. The whole establishment was also great with booking me and making it work with my schedule.

From the moment I walked in, even with additional precautions in place, I felt at peace. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions, and made me feel at ease. My massage was exactly what I needed, as a frontline worker and personal caregiver. My back was a mess of knots and my therapist really attended to each area. I will definitely be going back.

Amazing prenatal massage. As someone with chronic back pain that usually wants/needs deep tissue massages, I was worried that a prenatal massage would be too soft and really only provide some relaxation at best. I explained to my masseuse that although I was in need of relief from pains certainly caused from my pregnancy, I really was seeking relief from the chronic pain I’ve sadly gotten accustomed to experiencing. The masseuse not only listened to my concerns, but she actually followed through with addressing them all - she felt out the exact spots and applied the perfect techniques and perfect amount of pressure. This was such a fantastic massage that I booked again before leaving! Highly recommend.

Jackie was fantastic! I had been going to Matt ( and miss seeing him as he was excellent) but since he is no longer there I had to see someone else. I went to Shareeda who I really liked. She gives a great Massage. Yesterday I saw Jackie because my back was bothering me. She was terrific. She listened to me and I feel so good today. Elements is wonderful and I look forward to every massage.

Great if you sign up for the plan besides that its pure attitude. The girl at the desk, was beyond rude when my wife wanted to end her membership. It was a joke there tho. Massage plan was a ripoff at best and looks like the owner needs to pay the rent somehow. Maybe they should start at the #1 most important thing, Customer service. Copping an attitude is not acceptable when I heard the call on speaker I was shocked. On top of that. Unlike other local businesses if your plan runs out and you are even a DAY over say goodbye to your massage. Dont bother calling. They Gotcha no refunds period!-Overbooked-Expensive-Membership upsell is flawed by the above 2 points as well.Wish the ownership or front desk wasnt so rude, some of the people working there are not bad. Seems like a management issue. Id avoid it

I treated myself to a massage this week and had a great experience. Alisha did a wonderful job and listened to my needs for area, pressure, etc. Definitely recommend asking for her!

Making the appointment was very easy, and the text messages that followed to confirm/add payment were simple. Michael gave me possible the best massage of my life! He targeted areas that other massage therapists totally ignored and I felt so much better in the following days! Already signed up for the wellness program for the monthly massage!

Traveling for work and my neck and shoulders have been very tense. As soon as I landed in NY I was googling massage places near my hotel. Elements came up and I booked an impromptu massage. No hassle and great customer service. I had the pleasure of having Jonathan as my massage therapist and it was the best massage I have ever had (and I get them monthly) all my tension was released and I left feeling very relaxed. I get deep tissue regularly and his normal pressure was better than any deep tissue massage. The sweet girl at the front desk was also great! Thank you and please do yourself a favor a book Jonathan for a massage!

This past weekend was my birthday and I was struggling with a migraine as well as some neck/shoulder pain while my family was in town. I booked a same day appointment and Jonathan did my massage. He was absolutely AMAZING!! I like very firm hurts so good pressure and he did not dissapoint! When I left, I felt SO much better and my headache was gone for the rest of the weekend. I will DEFINITELY be coming back here!!!

Elements of massage is the best. I travel 25 mins minutes each way. I will never go anywhere else. The staff is always so friendly, professional and amazing. I look forward to my monthly massages. Thank you to the amazing staff !

Melissa was amazing!! I have had many massages at lots of different places & this one, by far was the best. I have never been more relaxed. The only thing that would have made it better is if I could have taken a nap there!! I went to work the next day and told several of my coworkers that they need to make an appt with Melissa...Thank you!

I had an ankle injury that affected my legs and eventually led to pain in my back. Having Michael work out the areas I needed and focused on them he was able to spend the necessary time on the areas where I really needed it. When it would have been easy to just move on he asked me my opinion on if he could work on the problem areas- very knowledgeable- It made a world of a difference- I cant wait to go back!

I want to take the extra time to thank the owner as well as the manager (Carrie, I hope thats the correct spelling) for being so attentive and kind when addressing something very serious that occurred during one of our appointments. Knowing a business such as this takes the time, and the effort, to ensure their patrons are taken care of is not only refreshing but very commendable. Each interaction I had after my appointment has been respectful, professional and helped put my mind at ease. I will return during my next visit to Smithtown, thank you for everything.

Excellent in every way....from the courteous and helpful front desk staff, to the very competent and professional massage therapists, to the calm, comfortable, and clean setting...I look forward to my monthly or bi-monthly massages! Just had an amazing massage with a new therapist, Molly - very skilled professional who provided much-needed relief for my sore muscles - for me, massage is a necessity.

Jonathan was wonderful. I had 90 minute massage that was heavenly. The environment induces a soothing and relaxing feeling which helps relieve anxiety with the high work demand and the COVID fears. I felt safe with the COVID guidelines in place. Highly recommend!

I visited Elements Massage in Smithtown for prenatal massages after I stopped being able to walk without intense pain during my 38th week of pregnancy. I cannot recommend the services more highly. After 3 sessions I was able to walk more or less normally again and my pain and discomfort were greatly abated. Best money I ever spent. Donna M. is a wonderful masseuse - very kind, professional and knowledgeable. The rest of the staff was also kind, very efficient and courteous. The heated massage tables were a revelation. The ambiance is relaxing and low key and the facility is very clean.

The place is beautifully decorated and relaxing. The staff was very accommodating to your needs. I had a great massage and would definitely go back. I also liked the oil that was used, it wasnt too greasy and my skin felt great afterwards!

Elements massage in smithtown does not care about customer satisfaction all they care about are their tips I tip based on my satisfaction for services rendered. Its a 50-50 crapshoot for a decent massage therapist that actually knows what they are doing. The owner should offer higher wages to his employees so that perhaps the pursuit of commission wont be what its all about. I feel that a gratuity is a tip given after the service is rendered VOLUNTARILY, and that amount is based on the quality of service. The very last massage I had there I told the therapist that I needed more pressure so she increased the pressure too hard. I told her it was too much, so she said I will have to go back to the lighter pressure (which was like a rubdown).She did not know how to adjust the pressure to my needs, she adjusted it to her own needs, and was actually sarcastic about it. Needless to say she did not get a tip from me because she did not do what I the customer needed her to, she did what she wanted. Do you know the next day they had the audacity to call my home and ask where I left the tip. They thought maybe it was lost in the sheets on the massage table. I told them to call off the search party there was no tip. I have subsequently found other massage therapists in the area that offer a far better service for less money.

Elements massage Smithtown never disappoints! All the therapists there are amazing! I always leave so relaxed and calm. I only have positive things to say about this place and all the wonderful therapists !

I love this place! They always offer great deals on gift cards, and the staff is wonderful. I often go and see Matt. Hes a miracle worker! My only complaint is sometimes its hard to book an appointment if you cant call a couple of days in advance.

I called to schedule my appointment because I received a gift card that expired at the end of the year. I was told they have no availability therefore my gift card was useless. I asked to speak to a manager or owner they took my information and I never heard back. Therefore I just lost the money spent of the gift card. They refused to offer an extension on the date or any other accommodations. Very disappointed I would never recommend this place. Poor customer service.

Place is amazing, I originally had booked a hot stone swedish massage, after explaining to Larissa why I was there she suggested not using the stones as her hands would be more effective, being a newbie I listened to her profession reccomendations and Im glad I did! Afterwards I paid and left, when I got home I recieved a phone saying that I paid to much and they didnt do the hot stones and was charged for it, they immediately fixed the charge on my card, and the honesty is a big reason on while Ill be back.

I look forward to my appointments with Nadege as it my time to relax and rewind. Even in the current times of COVID-19 I am able to let go knowing that I am in a safe and secure environment. Health questionnaire, temperature checks and masks are worn all and requires on every visit. Lately I have been adding upgrades such as hot stones, cbd and aromatherapy. I absolutely love Elements Smithtown!

Really clean. Love this place. I have worked with Shareeda, Jonathan and Matt. All great people and knowledgeable about their craft. They are all very attentive to my past injuries and are careful to help me relax without hurting anything further.

Reunited and it feels so good! Have been twice this week as they reopened and going back for more next week. Extra careful practices. Just you and the masseuse are in the building for your private session! What else do you need!

Terrific Massage, my lower back was acting up again as usual but after Nadege did a deep tissue massage my pain was gone. I felt great for at least a week or two.Highly recommend!

Everyone was so nice and welcoming from the second I walked through the door. I had a great massage!

Very disappointed. Received a gift card for Christmas, it expired on 3/24/18. I called and asked if they could extend the gift card for one week and was told no. Aside from the 4 noreasters & the time period of this gift card, I only asked for a one week extension, I was very surprised at their customer service. I will not be recommending this business in the future.

Ryan DeMarco, the owner of Elements in Smithtown, stole $30 or 1/2 massage from me and kicked me off the monthly program. He makes up rules and says that I should know his rules. He was horribly rude and condescending to me. I am appalled at how he treats is customers.

It was very relaxing and Bridget M was professional and kind. She asked what pressure I liked / how I was feeling and she talked me through what she was going to do. I will be back!

Male Therapists were as good as female therapists. They were extremely professional. The services were customized according to your choice.

Great massage, if you can EVER get an appointment or have someone even answer the phone. I have over 20 credits for massages but there is NEVER an opening when I call.
