YOU ARE BEING WARNED. I recently visited Orange Spa for a massage. While my first experience there was fantastic (though I cant recall the masseuses name), todays visit was dissatisfying and disgusting at time of payment.During my massage, I requested firmer pressure on a couple of occasions. Unfortunately, the pressure remained lighter than I prefer. Additionally, the pace of the massage felt slower than usual. When our session neared its end, only the back of one leg had been addressed.The masseuse offered to extend the session by 30 minutes to complete a full-body massage, which I agreed to. I heard the same situation with other masseuses, where clients were offered additional time to finish their massages ( this is a tactic to make more money rather than relying on quality service).Since I had booked a 60-minute massage, I had planned a 20% tip beforehand. While I did tip that amount despite the experience not meeting my expectations, the masseuse did ask for additional money.Im a strong believer in tipping, especially at reasonably priced places; however, I WILL NOT GO BACK given lack of service, professionalism, and greed.

Same as other reviews except I didnt get a massage in fact I purchased 2 gift cards, and took my son 16yrs old to get a massage and just so were clear, 62 140 pounds so not a difficult body type at all. I paid for everything in advance and my son gave a $5 tip. When I came back to pick him up the lady had followed him to the car asking for bigger tip. Absolutely NOT. Tips are for services provided that go beyond the requested service thats number 1, then tips are per the recipients choice it is not mandatory. Third to follow my kid and make a scene after I paid for 3 services is unacceptable. Hence we never returned to this message parlor and had the same experience 1 block over. Not sure if these shop owners understand tips are not mandatory and definitely you dont get to demand $30 or more for a Service that says 60min but is actually 45min and you did not deliver a service beyond the hired service. Strange Trend

I usually go there for YoYo. Unfortunately, she was busy/booked up (which is ok since I was a walk-in), so they gave me Anna instead.Anna did an amazing job. She used gentle pressure and great techniques. No complaints at all. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

They was upset that we didn’t tip 20$ or more ……per person…. I gave 15$ tip after paying 260 for a 2 hr session……. If that’s the case u need to include that tip in the price…. Don’t get mad !!! a tip is what I WANT TO GIVE ……. I only wanted the 1.5 hr session y’all demand we do the 2 hour we didn’t ask for it !!!!! So next time we won’t go there !!!!

The masseuse was terrible. Even after requesting multiple times to apply less pressure, she kept going stronger. It was like I was being punished for something. Additionally, they are really greedy with tips. I had booked 90 minutes but ended up cutting it short after having enough. They expect a 20% tip even for a terrible massage. When I told them the tip % should be my choice based on the service I received, the lady at reception gave me a terrible reaction. I will not recommend this place.

My husband & I had a 60 minute couple massage & it was amazing. This is my second massage & I definitely will be a regular customer. I’ve gotten numerous massages at different locations & this is now my favorite.

I had a horrible experience here with the front desk, lady over not tipping before the appointment started. Also The massage was not worth the $120 I spent. She was very rude and embarrassing. Definitely money hungry staff .. The lady asked if I would tip, and when I told her I would do so at the end of the massage, she ran to the room and told my girlfriend that she’s canceling the appointment very loud and for all to hear .. I’ve never been treated in my life

Ive tried a lot of massage places and this has to be one of the best. However, you have to try the different masseuses to determine which hands and pressure are right for you. You have to communicate with masseuse to work on your troubled areas. Prices are reasonable but be sure to tip your masseuses $$. #selfcare

Had to leave a review after I read the one negative review. I been going here for YEARS these people are great. Funny how one dissenting voice thinks that the problem is on the salons end and that other happy customers are a bag of lies and not that its quite possibly their nasty entitled attitude that led to a poor experience which was more likely than not a projection. Its not often people will take time out to leave positive reviews people get more motivated to leave negative ones so if this place doesnt have an overwhelming amount of negative reviews Id ignore the few as I highly suspect the woman with the issue is likely an ineffective communicator who deals with these types of interactions daily across all industries.

The lady on the phone was incredibly rude. I attempted to make a appointment but she scheduled me at the wrong time. I was trying to confirm prices and she was replying see you next time. None of what she was saying was making sense. Don’t even bother just keep looking. Super unfriendly.

Today is my husbands birthday... Weve had one of the greatest experience in our lives. This was our first time getting a massage at a spa and we loved every second of it. We definitely recommend this place for self or as a couple. The massages were great and the women definitely were professional. Thank you for this day ladies❣️

My girlfriend and I got a 90-minute massage. It was amazing, the lady asked me about the pressure level I wanted at the beginning of the session. The whole experience was great and relaxing. Next time we are going to get a 120-minute one. Cannot wait to visit here again.

It was my first time visiting this spa. I’ve had massages but by far this was the best. I had the full body hot stone and foot massages she got all my kinks out and my feet was ready to be in 3 inch heels for 6 hours. I don’t remember her name but thanks again. I told my friend and we will be back soon.

Please do not deal with this unprofessional business. I read the reviews and decided to make an appt today for Foot massage reflexology....the first thing I was asked WHAT TIME ....so I asked are you not going to ask what date Im trying to schedule for first.... ? Then a pregnant pause and she then said when I said September 23 ....then I get the phone get slammed on me ..... So I called back I get someone different I explained to the lady why am I trying to make an appointment as a new customer and getting the phone hanged up on me ? Instead of apologizing Im getting the excuse -- she doesnt know English good. So I asked that is how you run a business..which is quite unprofessional and not a good look as trying to be a first time customer. Still no apology...I get well I should let her know I need an appointment. Really as that is the primary reason for me calling . Just seems there us no professionalism...all about getting money and really not catering to customers yet alone new customers. These good reviews must be some bag of lies because if youre working there for years and answering phones ..you have some kind of understanding but because I was not coming in today I get the hang ups and unprofessionalism. What a disgraceful !!! IF this is how I get treated making a simple appointment why in Gods green earth would I pay you my hard earned money and let alone tip you with this attitude and unprofessionalism

Ill start with the best part the massage. Helen was pleasent and lovely. She asked about my preferences right away. I asked for medium because medium here is like deep tissue. That being said I also gota 60 min body and 30 min of reflexology that were so very good. The place is clean and sanitary the ambiance is good the music is soothing. I was in room 2 towards the back. It was far enough away from the front to remain soothing although the music fades when the blowr cycles on. I think they need another speaker towards the back. The main phone rings too loud and disturbs the peace of the moment . I recommend they turn down the ringer and take extended conversations into the staff room. The staff chatter was professional although you can here client forconversations very clearly. That being said it is an amazing value for the price. I love the availability the price and the professionalism of this spa.

Not professional at all!. We booked a couples massage and when we arrived they tried to split us up and said we had no choice. After being stern about being together they proceeded with the harsh massage “Deep tissue massage “ which left us sore. Not to mention on of the ladies who worked there disgustingly dug up her nose in front of us and never washed her hands and went back into rooms to massage people before our session even started. Take my advice and save your money and go else where. BTW the room sucked we were behind curtains by the front door and heard everyone talking and laughing the whole entire time.

They do a great massage and have reasonable prices even after you add tip on top of the base. If you like deep tissue massage this is the place to go. They also do some hot stone and most therapists can do reflexology. The place is clean and they have great customer service and usually also have therapists available same day. Their face cradles could use a slight upgrade, but they’re no worse than other Asian or Thai spas I’ve been to.

Ive returned to Oranges Spa for I think the 4th time. Its not the fanciest place in the world but its super clean, smells great, soft sounds and the ladies are very kind. This time, I brought along two friends. They have both had massages in the past. The response I got from both of them best massage of my life. That says alot. Definitely visit. You wont regret it.

Last night was probably my 15th time I have been there (and I have plenty of buy five, get 30 minutes! cards lying around the house to prove it), and Im disappointed in the change in experience. First off, they are asking for a minimum 25% tip now, using a laminated card -- even at a dollar a minute for 90 minutes. To be clear, I regularly did 25% for my one-hour massages (so maybe this card has been around for a while and I did not know it), but I still think a tip should be discretionary and a 25% MINIMUM is a bit much - especially for a bad massage, which this one was.For the first time here, my massage therapist could not understand me at all. She kept working my injured foot after telling her over and over to stop. I eventually had to sit up, which Ive never done in hundreds of massages, to tell her to stop, and she kept working it! It absolutely wrecked the experience, from a state of bliss to total annoyance. And then I get to the desk and they show me a card asking for $90 plus 25% for that?Trust me, this was a 5-star experience previously, and I dont want that fact to get lost. I have had some great work done here. But honestly Im never going back. My foot is all jacked up this morning.The last thing Ill mention is the upsell, which they have been doing forever. Ask for 30, theyll ask if you want 60. Ask for 60, and theyll ask if you want 90. That is all cool the first few times they ask, then it gets annoying. No thanks means no thanks, the first time, and the second time, and the third time.

Do yourself the favor of making this top notch and inexpensive massage spot your go to. Lily and YoYo are the most consistent, thorough and hardworking masseuse in the region. No one in the region is better, and I’ve tried them all. While not the fanciest spa it is impeccably clean and always a joy to visit. It’s a busy place so call ahead. Excellent.

My wife and I went there for a couples massage and it was wonderful, we both left refreshed and relaxed. The staff was kind a we will definitely go back.

I got a deep tissue massage here, and it was amazing.I have had back pain for about a month and have been treated by a chiropractor. I was at the point where my alignment was good, but my muscles were extremely tight. She really got in there and released all the tension and tightness. My back hasn’t felt so good in weeks.Here is what to expect: full body “once over” with a towel on then deep (and I mean deep) tissue massage with oil and hot stones. She even massaged me with her knees and stretched my muscles when she was done. It was uncomfortable at times (because my muscles were so tight and tender), but she continued to check on me throughout the process to make sure I was okay with the pressure. I trusted her throughout the process and it was so worth it. I will definitely be back!

This place was amazing! Throughout the process, they check on you to make sure youre okay and ask if you need more for your troubled areas. I had a lot of tension in my shoulders and upper back and neck and at first your troubles areas will hurt you but at the same time it feels relaxing and comfortable. They use hot towels, oils and use their hands, knees, and elbows well. Please tip them because they are so sweet here and deserve it for their customer service. Definitely coming back for more! Loved it!

I had been there a few times. But my last couples massage was not great. They placed us in the front room with curtain that was recently added. Not only was the lady burping throughout my massage but also the other lady who was massaging my bf kept stopping to cash ppl out and answer phones. We heard every person. Leaving and talking. It was not romantic at all. Then when u complained she had the nerve to try to demand a tip. They were lucky I paid and gave a small tip. Definitely will not be returning smh!! I am still sore from my so called massage.

Great massages not doubts about that, but the ladies need to stop asking for more tip every time. you tip them and they ask you for more that’s very unprofessional and makes the customers feel uncomfortable but other than that highly recommended.

I wanted to do 30 min massage!! She offered me if I wanted to do 90 min instead !! I told her 30 min for today and I will return for more!! She used her knee, ankle and feet for upper body !! She didn’t even use oil and 30 min passed by!! I think as a professional she should do full body massage in the requested time frame!! I was not expecting her to work on every parts at least she should cover most of the body!! She asked me again if I want another 30 min!! I said ok let’s do it!!! She used oil in my back and start working on same spot again and again!!! She didn’t even touch my lower body!! She was like we can do foot next time!! Every time I go to massage they manage to cover head to toe but not at this place!! I like the upper body massage whatever she did but not satisfy because she didn’t cover my lower body!! She was asking if I wanted to add 30 more min ?????

Had a great experience, we visited mothers day (had a previous reservation) the place is clean and the ladies are really nice, my massage was 1 hour and I enjoyed every minute. Few things to improve: i was able to hear the door when someone came in, as well as other people in adjacent rooms, my masseuse had to leave for a few seconds to answer incoming door, phone or answer someone else question, they would benefit from having a receptionist on bussy days, other wise I enjoyed my visit and will definitely return.

The massage was actually great but the whole experience went downhill when the kept insisting minimum tip is $20 . That left a sore taste in my mouth. I wont be going back.

No frills massage on Valley Road in South Orange.Ive been here a few times and have had a deep tissue massage from 2 different therapists.Lily does a very strong massage, with pressure points and moving your limbs in various directions which was new for me. I was in pain for 2 days and afterwards felt great.Yay also did a strong massage although I asked her to ease up, because it became painful. Unfortunately, she took 2 phone calls during my massage and this ate into my time. When I mentioned it to her, she apologized and said it was busy. Her massage was good, but I think I preferred Lilys.The one other thing that bothered me was the chatter of massage therapists among each other. I come to relax and like falling asleep during a massage sometimes. But with constant chit-chat from the staff, its impossible to do. Also, there is no music, so you really only hear all the other patrons grunting and groaning.I made an appointment and when I arrived, was told they just took a walk in - I left. Why bother taking appointments if theyre not honored.

This place is amazing ...very professional greeted us soon as we walked in . If your looking for a good place that takes there time and focus on client This is definitely the place for you to go. Me and my fiance enjoyed our couple massage. Not pricey at all.. I will definitely recommend coming here. I cant wait to return

Oranges Spa was a lifesaver for my husband who had recent back surgery. He tried everything to resolve his pain, but ultimately, a weekly visit to Oranges gave him the most relief. The women who work here are friendly, kind, hardworking, and STRONG! As other people have mentioned, you need to communicate about how much pressure you like. I always say firm or hard, but at Oranges, I started saying medium. They want to make sure you enjoy your massage, so if there is something you dont like (I dont like to be stretched), just politely say so. I also suggest you make an appointment because they are always busy. The facility is clean and quiet, with only the occasional sounds of the phone ringing or customers coming in. Sometimes the customers can be loud or rude to the women, which is a huge distraction, but beyond their control. The prices are very reasonable, which is why I always tip 20%. No one has EVER pressured me to tip because it would never occur to me not to! Nor have I ever heard them ask someone else to tip. Even if I didnt love the massage, those women work hard and deserve the recognition. If you want a full body massage, I recommend you book 90 minutes. They always start with you face-down with a towel over you. After they get a feel for your body through the towel, they will start to remove it in sections. One of my favorite things about Oranges is their use of hot stones. If you dont like this, you can just say so. They are also really good about working though knots in the glutes. Again, if you dont like this, just say so. Thank you Oranges for being so helpful and kind to Craig and I. Weve moved and will definitely miss you!

It’s not really a massage, it’s more like your being pressed on the whole time. When leaving, I was turned off because the pressure to tip is unbelievable. I was gonna leave a great tip despite my experience, however, don’t tell a customer how much to tip. As I’m taking cash out of my wallet, the receptionist is telling me to tip 20%. That’s a HUGE turn off. If I decide to tip, I will but if I don’t then I don’t. This type of thing turn people away from your business.

Amy was a good massaging me but I could not deal with the pressure of leaving a tip.The lady refused to swipe my card unless I left a tip and then another lady came behind the curtain telling me I need to leave a tip. Even though the massage was good. The greed over tips is horrible the person who was working the front I tried to tell her that I do not tip off of my card and she took an extra 5 off of my card. First of all it is rude to ask for a tip. Yes I do tip I have no problem with that but you are not gonna take extra money off my card when I didn’t give you permission to do so.

I just had my first experience here. Ive traveled most of the world and have had many amazing massage visits due to my very active lifestyle. Yoyo was the best Ive had anywhere and at about 1/3 of the price. Im excited to have this place in our community.

Fantastic experience! Lily gave me a therapeutic massage to deal with a sore back and I feel so better. I liked that the room was so quiet and peaceful and Lily didn’t talk unless she needed to. Very reasonable rates, too.

I went last week. Im not sure the womans name that did my massage but she was AMAZING!!!! That was my first time ever getting a REAL massage. I went bc i felt i needed it after a tough week at work. The woman was very polite and kind. And attentive!! She gave me a great massage. And i was so relaxed and felt stress free. I will say she is very strong tho. But i will be back very soon!!!! Oh and the prices are THE BEST!! I paid for 90 mins !! 🤗😁😁😁

Went to get a couples massage with my sister at 4, didn’t wait long to be taken care of. Both my sister and I had wonderful masseuses. Mine was Sandy and her’s was Yuyu. Both very wonderful ladies. Would definitely come here again!

Kept being pressured to tip. Lady kept saying tip 20%, and kept blocking the card machine when I tried to pay the tip. Ill gladly tip you, but dont pressure me and harass me! The massueses pressure was strong/deep, would prefer light to medium!

The best massage Ive had in a long time! My masseuse was Yo Yo and she did an amazing job with the deep tissue massage! Pretty sore the next day, as expected. Im looking forward to the next one!

Massages weren’t that great, but I guess you get what you pay for.They kept pressuring us to tip, like telling us over and over again “tip her, you no tip?, tip her”.The massage lady didn’t really understand English (which isn’t her fault, completely fine) but It was hard to communicate what I needed from her.

The massage was great and the ladies were really nice. The only thing I will say is that the charges are more than listed. So just be prepared to pay 15$-20$ on top of the listed prices upon checkout.

Great deep tissue massage from Sia! She asked where I felt the most pain and helped release major tension and stress from those areas. I will definitely be back.Just an FYI the rooms arent completely closed off and the door is a curtain, so if you cant tune other noise or the phone ringing from time to time then this may not be the place for you. If you can deal then this is the spot for you for sure

Ive been here about 4 - 5 times. Everytime Ive left a tip but the last time was extremely unprofessional. They were very very pushy about me leaving a larger tip. I wont be returning to them again.

I had a massage there yesterday and it was very good. Only thing is o had a deep tissue massage and was a little sore. Overall it was a nice place, clean and you felt welcome.

My boyfriend and I decided we wanted to do couples massages the price was amazing half the price of what you pay for in the city they were really good only downfall is that theyre not staffed enough so the woman stopped a couple times either the answer the phone or see whos at the door but other than that it was really really good my boyfriend enjoyed it I enjoyed it theres nothing more to say the prices are amazing for every five massages you get a free one so who can beat that in a prices are reasonable Im definitely going back with or without my boyfriend
